The series 2 of NewYork House Edits. Monchan edited 90's NY Garage House from the legendary record label & Shop "Vinylmania".
“Vinylmania" Owner Charlie Grappone opened the Vinylmania’s doors in 1978. He opened the store with a sparse selection of Rock records
but after crowds from the Paradise Garage started showing up he realized his market was with the house heads. Vinylmania quickly became the goto spot for house in NYC eventually spawning a record label under the same name and it’s legacy began. Sadly Vinylmania closed its doors in 2007 after almost 3 decades of business.

A key fixture in the record bags of DJs throughout the past few decades, best known for their unforgettably odd house anthem ‘He Not In’, it’s been some years since Andy Meecham and Dean Meredith last collaborated as Chicken Lips. As such, it’s with no little delight that Phantasy welcomes them back into the fold with one of their most mind- bending tracks yet, accompanied by a remix from a fellow stalwart of the underground, DJ Sotofett.
Instant and assured, ‘Goldenlips’ unrolls like licorice over ten blissful minutes, mining an undercurrent of post-acid house euphoria into a dreamy analogue jam-turned-trip, a soft and rhythmic vision of dancefloor euphoria that demonstrates a mastermind session of tension and release from two individuals with decades of experience in tipping dancefloors upside-down.
On the flip, DJ Sotofett continues to deliver the unexpected with a more truncated but no less compelling ‘Golden Funk’ mix. Suddenly rolling back the musical clock to the sun-drenched West Coast of the mid-nineties, the result is an oozing, bottom-heavy rework so delicious, it might even have united Puffy and Snoop.

Top drawer cosmic-tinged, timeless jazz funk from Elixia, "Soho Phaze-/Soho Nights",
gets the remastered reissue treatment on "Record Shack".
"Soho Phaze" wasn’t going to be light on the effects was it? "Going heavy on the phaser" would have been an understatement, but what could have sounded like an endlessly swirling soup of effects turned into a breathtaking, intergalactic, early ‘80s jazz funk dream.
On the flip ‘Soho Nights’ keeps the effects subdued letting the squelching synth lines, feverish stabs and pure funk bass do the strutting. Both Sides still do the damage to this day, with DJs such as Nick The Record, Joey Negro, Mark Grusane, Medlar & Faze Action all regularly drawing for the mystique and mastery of this 12" big tip!

Making Covid-19-references when writing about popular culture can feel tiresome, living in the midst of it but let “Taken From A Fixed Point” by In Fields console you in this age of pandemic. This album pierces through you like sunbeams through the blinders of your quarantine-ridden apartments’ windows.
This isn’t In Fields first appearance on the label. In 2019 the artist released a collaboration with Golden bug and the exiting dynamics of that album resounds in this one. Though a little easier on the disco influences and a turn towards ambient, In Fields’ music is still “tension and release” dance music produced to perfection. In Fields characteristic sound contain contrasting elements where soft airy synth pads meet more frightening sounds dug up from somewhere deep and dark like in “Ghostnights”.
The tracks are dynamic where growing crescendos fast and suddenly fades out and you realize your mind have been focusing on a completely different part of the sound. Underneath those surprising elements sits a skeleton of well-sounding bones keeping the songs together tight and steady.
“Taken From A Fixed Point” is dance music for a dance floor in your head and triggers the muscle memory in quarantinenauts tired of hard lock-down. Though produced in a dark place, this album gives a somewhat positive vision of the future and life on the other side.

Norm De Plume makes a welcome return to Delusions Of Grandeur following up last year’s Castlecrag EP which boasted a remix from the mighty Folamour. The Londoner, now based in Sydney, has been quietly making a name for himself over the last decade with remixes for Tornado Wallace and Ben La Desh and EP’s for Kolour LTD and his own vinyl-only imprint Plumage winning him a solid following along the way.
His passion for all things disco and deep, dubby, underground house inspired by his musical hero Ron Hardy feeds through into his production style as well as his recently formed Analogue Discogue party which boasts an audiophile sound system and vinyl-only sets from the DJ’s.
For his latest release entitled the Squarker EP Norm gives us plenty of heat for the dance floor across three brilliant originals. The title track even manages to make a slap bassline sound good with a healthy dose of dub delays and some deep, epic chords building into the mix. A crunchy disco groove with live hihats and congas keeps things loose and organic whilst remaining fat and punchy.
Flipping over we have Love Me So which works up an 8th note live bass line to great effect, filtering chords adding a nice tension until the point where an off kilter synth sequences joins to add the icing on the cake.
Closing out the EP we have A Stone Thing which takes a more housey approach with classic 909 hats bringing a shuffle feel and layers of chiming chord stabs adding a deeper atmosphere for the warm up or afterhours.

All the beats, tracks, and harmonies that Vega Records release have a story behind them, 'UNION DANCE (LOUIE VEGA REMIX) - DJ CLOCK FEATURING MADAME-X's begins where most great things do as far as we are concerned.... under a mirror ball in a dark club! One night, (well really EARLY morning to be honest) while Louie Vega was vibbing in the booth, listening to Timmy Regisford work it out for a packed NYC dance floor a wild beat caught his ear. As Louie looked over and saw the crowd confirm exactly what he felt he turned to Timmy with a smile and said "that beat is hot, let me get that", and from that moment UNION DANCE's story began with Louie Vega.
No surprise to Louie, DJ CLOCK of Durban South Africa was the mastermind producer behind this fiery beat. DJ CLOCK is practically a house hold name in S.Africa since he first got into producing and djing in 2007. He's collaborated with some serious heavy hitters including Fistaz Mixwell, Euphonik, Oskido, Chynaman et al and has become the go-to producer for compilation albums across his continent and now with Louie Vega he's making his way to all of us. This gritty beat captured every emotion that makes you go in even harder at 3am... It had heat pumping out the system but it was missing something as far as Louie was concerned.
The missing element was the incomparable force that is MADAME-X, known to many as a sexy sultry vocalist by all accounts but there is a force living within HER expressed only as MADAME-X. She interprets the words of Maya Angelou with the utmost confidence and conviction. A powerful woman, with her raw, unapologetic edge MADAME_X pro claims "I WANNA DO THIS MY WAY" transforming a hot beat Louie heard one night into a FIERCE TRACK to ignite crowds around the world today!
UNION DANCE (LOUIE VEGA REMIX) - DJ CLOCK FEATURING MADAME-X reminds us that not only is it ok but its necessary to OWN THE DANCE FLOOR! This right here is for the djs, the dancers and all those who truly understand that HOUSE MUSIC IS A FEELING!

West London’s Slip ‘n’ Slide was one of the UK’s original house imprints. With early releases from Kings of Tomorrow, Deep Dish, Masters At Work and X-Press 2, the label set the benchmark for house music in the UK and gave a platform for artists who went on to be all-time greats.
One of these artists was Blaze, who don their Funky People alias on this special 12” release, with vocals by Cassio Ware, one of the most revered and respected vocalists during this era.
Known for their gospel and soul tinged sounds, this double 12” delivers a masterclass in remixing with brand new versions by Jovonn and Hugo LX alongside classic mixes from Masters At Work, Knee Deep and 20:20 Vision, each bringing their unique sound to this record box essential.

Prolific Spanish producer Rayko brings you four slices of synth-tastic nu-disco with a prog twist here. The title track is a lazy, hazy affair in which untold layers of analogue sound oscillate their way in and out of the picture. "Drive" sees him join forces with fellow Spaniard Landerground to deliver a wonderfully fluid, fluttering chunk of synth-heavy Balearica. The title is clearly a nod towards the famous movie of the same name, and many of the electronic sounds are reminiscent of the film's legendary soundtrack 'Autopower' is a tad funkier in feel and, with its sense of repressed energy, would make a great building track. But for some truly out-there thrills, head for 'Oopart', a guitar-led affair that comes on like Ripperton jamming with space rock diehards Ozric Tentacles.

New York's Will Buck is fast becoming one of the Whiskey Disco Family's most consistent artists and we're happy to present his new EP, NY Hustlin'. This time, he's brought along another Lovedancing alumni, Felipe Gordon and together, the pair deliver a stellar offering for our 15th release.
The titular track opens with slap bass loops and east-coast chants, moving swiftly into smokey chord stabs and bustling horn riffs. Shifting gears into 'Don't Wear It Out,' the energy is amped up with shuffling beats, dubbed out vocal chops and a relentless groove.
As we move to the other side, Will Buck and Felipe Gordon join forces for 'Can't Hold Me Back,' which features latin percussion and some lovely live bass from Mr. Gordon. Lastly, we have one final treat in the form of a Felipe remix for 'NY Hustlin' which sees the man impose his trademark style upon the title track and round out the package nicely.
Pure vibes for you next livestream!

Knight Fever is the second release on Bungalo Disco. The four songs are a mixture between childhood dreams driving K.i.t.t. and a time travel from the 80s to the 20s and back – each track on its very own way.
»Taniacid« is a Neo Italo track with some spices of acid that will make you feel like driving in „Super Pursuit Mode“.
»Trust doesn’t rust« is more or likely an Italo Disco song, hard to say when it has been created. Not even Italo Brutalo himself knows it. »Knightmares« – name is title. The psychedelic track contains just two elements. Less is more. An absolutely secret weapon on the dancefloor. »Not a drop to drink« has originally been written on a very hot summer day in the mountains of Ibiza, what you might not expect due to its dark atmosphere with elements of old school electro music.

This release comes packed with 3 affecting club tracks, each serving a different purpose. Ash Is fuses elements of rave, house, techno, and electronica to serve up moments of euphoria & tenderness. *2017 repress, New Artwork* A remarkable follow-up to a timeless album that shows the band taking greater risks in songwriting and playfully experimenting with production techniques.
This album is Witch's stunning swansong before the fast-changing music industry and political environment in Zambia took its toll on the group. Again rooted in American FM radio, from soft rock ballads to boogie, this album sees the group embrace their Zambian roots to a greater degree, which is reflected in the rhythms and even the title of the album. This time around Patrick Mwondela pushes his synth work and electronic production to a whole other level. Kuomboka is the unforgettable last voyage of this legendary band.

Ancient rites of witchcraft and wisdom are the theme for Red Laser's 2nd release of 2020, with chief sound sorcerer Kid Machine consulting the eight schools of magic to create a spellbound opus of Manctalo mystery.
Across the 8 defined classes: Divination, Abjuration, Enchantment, Necromancy, Illusion, Conjuration, Evocation & Transmutation; Kid Machine renders these archaic energies into reactive musical matter. Much like mages and hierophants have kept centuries-old traditions and processes; the studio wizardry of Kid Machine reflects the various epochs of electronic music preceding it: the wistful yearning of vintage Italo coalescing with the charged energy of Northern English dance music and crafted via a meticulously sourced array of esoteric sound tools.
Side A's 'Magico', schooled in Divination, opens the LP.
A rugged rhythmic synth line nicely tweaked and with tasty clavs it's further expanded with glassy keys and a vocal refrain reminding us of its future-predicting powers.
'Make Me Feel Alright', protecting us with Abjuration, employs both squelchy and staccato synthesizer functions to construct its impenetrable gilded fortress. Banishing its foes to far-away lands with classico leads and a chord progression steeped in Italian nostalgia.
Snappy freestyle beats, galloping arps and searing melodies enchant 'S.D.M', an alchemical hybrid of electro-disco and pulsating EBM that would surely convince plenty, previous, non-compliers to frequent the poppers-drenched dark rooms of Europe's nocturnal underbelly.
Meanwhile, channelling dark necromancy, 'You're Love' closes off disc one with some of the most authentic, Italo-inspired keyboard interchanges and spirit-raising sequences available on the album.
Next come the winds & tides of Illusion and Conjuration. 'NGAFFS's' anthemic licks emanate off the wax. Broken down to 'not giving a flying fuck', it's Kid Machine's most spine-tinglingly epic track to date; uniting all under its Tesla-like harnessing of zero-point energy. Add coital thrust and you find us physically trying to grab the holographic, multi-dimensional synth fractals from the air in front of us upon first listen!
'Muszic' continues with another grandiose Manctalo coup de grace, full of sentiment and yearning.
Inviting Evocation through smokes & strobes, 'Modera' sees amyl nitrates recklessly thrown into the cauldron, tantalizing arpeggios stroking our most erogenous zones with abandon.
Finally, 'The White Hotel', assigned: Transmutation - is a tribute to the infamous nightspot contained within Red Laser's immediate territory, and home for the crew's many spectacular parties.
It's a fitting homage as galloping analogue sequences march over sensual strings and moody chord progressions; evoking that irreplaceable feeling of being surrounded by your favourite homo sapiens in one of the most hedonistic locations on planet Earth.
"Those who don't believe in magic, may never find it...".

Dublin based disco imprint Fatty Fatty Phonographics return with the 4th instalment of their 'Downtownsounds Classics' series, this time throwing three stone-cold classics onto one 12, all given the re-edit treatment by in house producers Pablo and Shoey.
Voiced by Leroy Burgess, with drums by hip hop legend Marley Marl and production by The Aleem Brothers, 'Release Yourself' was a huge across-the-board anthem in the clubs of NYC on its release in 1984.
The lads have superglued elements of both the vocal and dub sides together for an epic end of night take on this beloved classic. The B side features two under appreciated classics from the pen of one Billy Nichols, a man known for his work with West End Records (the Levan mixed 'Give Your Body Up To The Music') and the funky band of brothers that was BT Express.
On 'Take Me...' Nichols' hooked up with disco master Patrick Adams for an emotional, string drenched disco belter that has found favour with the likes of Dimitri from Paris, Floating Points and Hunee. While 'Dance If Off' is a wonky proto Acid-Disco trip beloved of Rahaan and Eric Duncan of Rub 'n' Tug. With copies going for over 300 euros, you can do your bank account and your dancefloor a favour here...

Multi-instrumentalist/producer extraordinaire - Flevans has been on fire the last few months. With more plays across the BBC 6Music and Radio 2 than you can count on all your limbs combined, his recent singles have proved to be a huge success on the air-waves.
Following up this early enthusiasm with the stellar LP 'Part Time Millionaire' in March, the album was received very warmly by critics and fans alike.
With source material this good it was time to have some fun and at the end of March we released the undeniably brilliant Art of Tones Remix of Who's Got Me – featuring the brilliant Laura Vane on vocals. Deep delicious disco. That's how we'd describe it but don't take our word for it, listen to Todd Edwards, Bill Brewster, Kraak & Smaak, Hector Romero and Francois Kevorkian – all of whom are supporting it. Or listen to Diplo, Mistajam, Annie Nightingale, and Gilles Peterson who have all supported his past releases on the wireless..
Well good as that was, the fun doesn't stop there as the next instalment of remix magic has disco man of the moment Ray Mang giving the special treatment to It Just Goes (feat. Sarah Scott). He's always been a legend but his re-work of the phenomenal handclap band was THE remix of 2018 for the disco cognoscenti and he has turned in some of his very best work here.
Yes - we like to listen to music online and have the convenience of an endless collection always available but for the masochists who like to break their backs lugging heavy boxes of vinyl round to gigs – don't worry – we got your back (broke) by putting both of these killer remixes on one extremely desirable 12"

Luv Shack Records' newest EP marks the 26th release on the label, and its a classic split affair by stalwart Artists Space Echo and Jakobin & Domino.
Space Echo's "My Heart, My Soul" evokes the best feelings we have for sample heavy filter house, but manages the transition to modern club standards effortlessly, and elegantly.
"Party Together" is Space Echo in full on laid back funk territory at the start, but quickly turns into a deep and highly addictive stomper that just gets more intense as it goes along.
Jakobin & Domino bring us "You Want My Love", a disco infused house jam that overflows with sultry vocals, moody fender rhode hooksa and a super catchy drum sample.
"Filter Queen" is a full on party track that is basically eponymous, but Jakobin & Domino amp up the classic theme (house beat & filtered sample) with a modulated synth sequence, a few well timed fx and a funky beat to boot

That's right folks, the Todd is back, bucking trends and shucking conventions to bring us two tip top reworks of an as yet unreleased original. Now you can't trust any old knob-twiddler with an assignment this specialist, so it's only right that Terje invites a pair of esteemed audio experts onto the ISS Olsen for operation 'Jungelknugen'. Taking the console for A-side manoeuvres, Four Tet scans the star maps and picks out a particularly jazzy path to a distant dance floor dimension. Hanging a left down Myrtle Avenue, the Text boss takes off with a surge of spectral arps, swelling sine waves and shuffling percussion, the sweet syncopation of off-beat piano leaving Earth's atmosphere in the rear view mirror. The ship shudders as we head for hyperspace, unleashing a booming bassline so weighty it has its own gravitational field - perfect for keeping the dancefloor packed like interstellar sardines. Over on the flip, Olsen regular Prins Thomas gets in on the action, rocking a retro-futurist remix which reps vintage R&S, Dutch electro and Sheffield bass on its way down the space techno highway. Pairing an infectious breakbeat with nagging sequences and full bodied subs, Thomas tunes up the rhythm section, tickling our collective fancy with a particularly x-rated bassline. Up at the top end fluttering keys blur into the nebulous swirl of dopamine-drenched vocals, ensuring we're in for a full frequency assault. Part robot - part raver, this snarler sounds like a secret Decepticon mixtape snatched from Soundwave's chest-deck and re-routed onto the blackest wax for your late night pleasure. So there you have it, a two track party platter packing spacious bassweight, astral jazz and abstract grooves from the minds of Four Tet and Prins Thomas. As for that Terje original, who knows We'll have to wait until the LP to find out...

Recorded mostly as a live-jam, august 2019, Il Sogno di Carmen is the result of a solitary producer meeting a nomad musician, Viscardi & Alano Santo. A brand new friendship. From there, the duo leads us to a spontaneous and fragile vacation story that yet manages to frame, with a sometimes mischievous accuracy, the current Genevan musical spirit : experimental, sincere, hybrid and hot. “I have no idea where this will lead us. But I have a definite feeling it will be a place both
wonderful and strange. Deep into summer, most definitely. The season of torrid bodies, of slowed down movements ; where melancholy creeps in the form of light and inconstant paragraphs, italian-style. Dragged around in hedonistic reunions, spiritual vagrancies and the soothing coolness of the Rhone river, Carmen is smooth and frivolous. She loosens up. Nothing is important. It can wait. Him too, you mainly. Geneva in the tropics, Bongo Joe on
the terrace, stolen emerald glances & air-conditioned airports. That's it. A wonderful and insignifiant story”.

Ray Mang heads up remix duties with an epic Afro disco workout that takes some delightful twisting turns.

The masked hero comes back after the LP with a 3 tracks EP landing in the summertime and it’s yet again worth the wait, as it brings back hints of that nu-disco house music we learnt to love but together with a new touch. “006A1” is the opening tune which is a funky view on the dancefloor with hints of blissful acid grooves and a meticulous structured arrangement, for club use only. "006A2" is pertinent to the mood of the side A and it's a slower but solid groove with smooth vocals that come in without warning. A more classic approach to end the first part. B side is surely a masterpiece, a 11 minutes track taking over the whole side with a trippy approach containing so many musical inputs; throughout the whole composition we can hear how scrupulous is the sound research that the artist made, from sound design, to sampling and structuring, and the groove itself exploding in a mix of world music-afrofunk-beat belter, with the vocals giving it a touch of a tribal dance. A track to remember which surely lifts the level of the whole EP. A track we are, amongst the others, proud to release on our own label (Apparel Music). APLWAX006 is landing, so fasten your seat belts, because this is one to remember.

The original, the inspirational, the bombastic, the never bettered, the one.
'Don't make me wait' is all of the above and so much more. Classic to the core. Huge earth shattering record right here.
OK, so the scoop, for the uninitiated is this - the Peech Boys were Larry Levan's group, we're talking early 80's NYC here, 1982 to be precise, around the height of the Paradise Garage as Larry was making the transition from superstar DJ to producer. He brought a sparse, dubbed out, narcotic late night feel to the overall sound of this record. This was a short-lived project, but the influence is still felt today, the Peech Boys DNA is inside the veins of modern dance music, as is Larry's. There is no underestimating what an impact this record had. 7+ minutes of electronic bliss, trailblazing stuff, and don't get us started on the dub. Do yourself a favour, BUY this classic if you don't own it already, you'll keep coming back to it time and time again. Guaranteed. This essential 12" is repressed here in it's original 1979 glory, an essential classic that has stood the test of time for the last 30+ years & is now available again, remastered & repressed for 2017 in conjunction with West End Records, NYC.

At the forefront of the Irish electronic music scene, Sligo-born Berlin-based duo Brame & Hamo, aka Tiarnan McMorrow and Conor Hamilton, announce their hotly anticipated fourth EP, 'Celebrity Impersonator' out on the 29th October 2018 via their own imprint, Brame & Hamo.
The title reflects the duos personality and playful energy, nodding to their love of celebrity impersonators whilst growing up. 'We have a bit of a soft spot for impersonators as it is a pretty ridiculous way to earn a living. A bit like DJing! Our favs were those of Tom Cruise, Bill Gates, Gordon Ramsay and Johnny Depp'.
Opening with 'Midnight Express', the rolling melodics nod to the early sounds of prog house and Italo, acting as a transitional opener to their signature trance via techno scores. On the B-Side, title track 'Celebrity Impersonator', is a moody four four that edges into the darker realms with their love of breakbeat shimmering through, resulting in a club ready anthem. Melting down into a rolling trance groove with a late night heady feel, 'Request Rhythm' closes the EP.
With an impressive discography of EP's behind them on their own imprint - Trants, Club Orange and the DJ favourite, Limewire, as well as bookings worldwide the Irish pair are set to propel onwards from Sligo to Berlin and beyond.

This incredible 12" sees the mighty PBR Streetgang take the reigns for 2 gems from the stash!

Born out of a chance encounter in 2012 that led to a lasting friendship, Rhythm Section Int'l & producer, DJ, label boss, radio host, and record store owner Ruf Dug join forces to present 'The Committee'. Sitting somewhere between fictional band and studio collaboration, the record is the first fully in-house production for Rhythm Section, recorded start to finish at their own South East London studio and featuring vocals from label founder Bradley Zero and label mate FYI Chris's Chris Watson.
Right from the studio's initial creation, Ruf Dug felt inspired by the space's unique musical identity, jumping at the opportunity to create a collaborative record there over a two week studio residency. And between his DJ residencies at Pikes, Gottwood and NTS radio the Manchester-via-Ibiza computer game freak and renowned vinyl digger found the time to meld his wide range of influences. Having been a key driving force behind Be With's Holy Grail reissue of Bô'vel's - Check 4 U , Ruffy has more than earned his stripes as a boss level Street Soul collector, pre-empting the resurgent interest in the genre, which began in the mid 80s and is still a popular sound in Manchester today. This new release draws parallels between the DIY attitude of Street Soul labels like TSR, Intrigue, Jam Today & Elite and the modus operandi of the RS studio.
A wholly synergetic work, the project's title 'The Committee' reflects the collaborative nature of this release, as Ruf Dug states: 'Authorship is a strange concept at the best of times but this genuinely is a group effort and I very much enjoyed feeling like just one piece of a larger entity - the complete opposite to my usual production experience of being all alone in my room for days at a time.' The EP also features additional production from Rhythm Section's own Mali Baden-Powell, who DJ's and produces as Z Lovecraft and comes from a background in Street Soul music, his father was also in legendary UK acid jazz collective D'Influence. In addition, the record features a dynamic range of vocalists: sultry deliveries from Natalie Wildgoose and Sienna Mustafa, a rap from her sister Nadina, and the vocal debuts of FYI Chris's Chris Watson and Bradley Zero. 'I had been joking with Bradley that he needed to be on the record somehow and he did appear, playing an egg shaker at one point, but his singing wasn't in the least bit planned... I got back from lunch, and the next thing you know he just starts singing...So I dragged him reluctantly down the corridor to the studio and that's it- now he's a pop star!'
Also playfully melding digidub, soul, chicago house and acid jazz, the release not only marks a new chapter in the development of the Rhythm Section sound, but also catalogues a crucial turning Point in Ruf Dug's musical development. Luca LTJ Trevisi (LTJ Xperience) began his dj/producer career in the 80s. As resident dj in two of the most famous Italian clubs of the time, Kinky in Bologna and Cap Creus in Imola, he was one of the first Italian jocks to spin House and to re-propose those black music, jazz and latin-bossa classics from the 70s that at the end of the same decade would have given birth to the Acid Jazz and Rare Groove movements. His first single release in 1988, titled First Job, together with Kekkotronics, was also the first release ever on Bologna based Irma Records. It was featured in a lot of compilations of the time and entered several playlists, rapidly reaching cult status for many UK and US djs. During the early 90s LTJ delivered a couple of singles in a kind of pre-breakbeat
style: Dont Stop The Sax, released all over Europe, and Funky Superfly. He also produced US singer Tameka Starrs single Going In Circles, always for Irma Records, still a
classic in the downtempo/r&b field. In the second half of the nineties Luca began to produce acid jazz bands like Bossa Nostra, still today one of Irma Records main acts. Their
first album had Vicky Anderson as special guest and today is still considered one of the most important European acid jazz albums. In the following years he concentrated on developing his activity as collector and rare vinyl merchant, which gave him the chance to get in touch with djs from all over the World and to discover many forgotten gems from the past years. Thanks to this experience he was able to create two extremely successful rarities series on Irma Records: Groovy and Suono Libero. In the meanwhile LTJ started to dj outside Italy too, performing in important venues like the Blue Note and Jazz Café in London, Giant Step in New York and Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland. In 1999 saw the release of his first solo album under the LTJ Xperience moniker. The album was produced with the collaboration of fellow Irma artist and producer Ohm Guru and had Taka Boom and Jackson Sloan among the guests. Two of the
main tracks on the album are brazil house classic Sombre Guitar and title track Moon Beat, which became a true hit of the Chill Out genre, featured in dozens of important compilations

LoveDancing is proud to present 'Yawumna', the new EP by Tel Aviv based veteran discoteers RaBo & SnoB. Ronen Sabo & Eyal Rob have been DJing together since the mid nineties and have been releasing their music via notable labels such as Whiskey Disco, LoveDancing and Disco Halal. Ronen, using the alias Obas Nenor has also released music on Moodyman's Mahogoni Music, Heist, and Strictly Rhythm.
'Yawumna', featuring vocals by Soma, is the fruit of the duo's visit to Ghana and the result of a chance meeting at Accra's main market while the duo were out looking for records and handmade percussions. The three quickly connected and Soma was recorded on vocals and the Kora. The result is an infectious, chantable afro stomper that feels both contemporary and rooted in Ghana's musical heritage. 20:20 Vision and Local Talk affiliate Art of Tones is on the remix adding his own signature tweak.
'Ifa' featuring Azizaa, is African house with anthemic qualities and a true club monster. Azizaa, who was introduced to Rabo & Snob via a mutual friend, packs the track with her unique vocal style and flamboyant energy. Let's Play House head honcho Jacques Renault steps up with an equally impressive remix.
