The band consists of former The Mars Volta members, Omar Rodríguez-López (guitar, backing vocals) and Deantoni Parks (drums, keyboards), alongside Le Butcherettes vocalist Teri Gender Bender and Nicci Kasper (keyboards)!

In September 2012, Bosnian Rainbows embarked upon its first tour under the banner of the Omar Rodriguez Lopez Group, with Rodríguez-López noting, "The tour was booked five months before it happened, and it was going to be another solo tour, and then at some point, I decided to start a new group and have a team effort. So it got booked one way, but I try to make it clear every night that this is a new group, and these are the names of the players, and "thank you." "The band chose to rehearse at Clouds Hill Studios in Hamburg, Germany and also used the studio as a base for the tour. Rodriguez-Lopez and Johann Scheerer, founder of Clouds Hill first met in 2009 when recording for Johann's project Taka-Takaz. During the rehearsals Bosnian Rainbows recorded a live session, which was released on 10" vinyl and DVD as a part of Live at Clouds Hill limited edition box set in December 2012. After the European leg of the tour they returned to the studio to record their debut album. The album was recorded and produced by Scheerer and will be out June 28th 2013.

Regarding the band's influences and aesthetic, Rodríguez-López noted, "These are very much shorter, more to-the-point songs [than The Mars Volta's]. They still have spaces that stretch out, but what I mean to say is that it's all the same influences that have been in most of my writing and all the people in my bands' writing. Can is there, Siouxsie and the Banshees is there, Gang of Four is there, all the Led Zeppelin, whatever... all those things are there, it's just different elements of those things. You make it shorter. It's stripped down, it's starker. The very melodic side of Can, the very textural side of Siouxsie. You take all those elements, and you take elements that maybe you weren't exploring as much before."

Debut 4-track E.P. by COSMO V. BIG TIP!
Utrecht-based sound artist Cosmo V steps up with her EP and first proper physical release 'No Name Street'. While still in the infancy of her recording career, she emerges with a fully-fledged vision, with four tracks of warm fuzzy simplicity. Inspired by bands and artists like Nirvana, Mazzy Star, Nico and PJ Harvey, as much as the blazing verse of poets like Charles Bukowski and Jim Carroll, Cosmo V holds the purity of the song in higher regard than pristine production values.

No Name Street collects four tracks of her unique lo-fi pop, mixing drum loops, live percussion and cheap microphones, into immersive stories that touch the soul. Springy bass lines weave their way through Cosmo's sonic jungle, providing the foundation for her dreamy vocals to float over the top. Originally studying cultural heritage and graduating as a restorator, Cosmo found herself drawn to computers and found producing her own songs a much better expression of her artistic endeavors.

Cosmo's Moluccan heritage gives her a different twist on today's hazy ethereal pop perspective. Her blues runs deeper than simply the aftermath of a first romance, or deciding which bar to go to on a Friday night. Landmarks of American war-era literature, such as Carson McCullers' The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter, are re-imagined into the modern world, splintered through a prism of Jesus and The Mary Chain, the Stone Roses, The Cranes, and Lykke Li, all drenched in reverb and tape saturation.

One look through Cosmo's Tumblr page, and it's clear there's a strong logic at work. Spacemen 3 rub shoulders with Cristiane F, and her obsession with fuzz is almost as single-minded as her love of sun-bleached 80s punk. As a child of the internet generation, her various online outlets are more than just a chance to express her artistic side. It's given her the courage to build herself an audience, while not compromising her identity. While she enjoys a certain anonymity, cutting her face from the EP cover that she designed herself, the vision behind No Name Street is stronger for it. No Name Street is by the people, for the people, a wide-eyed harbinger of inner city love and all its consequences.

Fourth corner. Physically, it's where four states in the U.S. come together at one singular point. Symbolically, it's where the four great rivers in China come together as one. Or, it could be the cycle of life during the four seasons of the year. For Trixie Whitley, it's a metaphor for trying to find balance and belonging from the songs that make up her scintillating debut album, Fourth Corner.

Whitley burst into public consciousness in 2011 as the lead singer of Black Dub, super-producer Daniel Lanois' (U2, Bob Dylan) project, blowing people away with a voice and presence beyond her now-25 years.

And it's that voice: an emotional, blues-drenched instrument that ranges from a lilting slap to a knock-you-backwards uppercut. On Fourth Corner, Whitley explores the range of human emotion in another set of four: utter love, total rage, unadulterated happiness, and crippling loneliness. "It's those elements of life I keep coming back to," she says. "Both as a person and musically as well."

Recorded in New York with producer/keyboardist Thomas Bartlett (aka Doveman, who's also worked with Glen Hansard, Antony and the Johnsons, Grizzly Bear and the National) engineer Pat Dillett (David Byrne, St. Vincent, Mary J. Blige), and string arrangements by Rob Moose (Antony, Bon Iver), aching songs like "Need Your Love" have Whitley working from a spare beginning that explodes into a blossom dripping with pleading vocals and delicate piano. On tracks like the sassy "Irene" and the sinister "Hotel No Name," Whitley lays down a snarling guitar line on top of scuzzy beats while her voice veers from defiant to remorseful.

It's a tantalizing mix of sounds that can come only from someone who says: "I'm from everywhere but have never felt like I belong." Whitley lived a nomadic life: born in Belgium, she split her time growing up there and in New York but also frequently visiting family in France, Texas, and Mexico. Her mother came from an artistic European gypsy family, filled with musicians, painters, writers, and sculptures, while her father, renowned singer-songwriter Chris Whitley, thrust her into the world of music as a toddler when she joined him onstage in Germany at age three.

After a few years of touring and recording experience with some of the most inspiring artists around, Trixie is ready to present her anticipated first solo full length.

"I'm psyched and petrified," says Whitley in her archetypal wide-eyed wonderment mixed with a fierce determination. "As a songwriter, I want to go to places people don't expect and with that is complete freedom of expression." Perhaps that place is another version of a fourth corner: something spiritual perhaps, certainly emotional, but most definitely real.

*Factory Benelux presents a newly remastered edition of Love & Hate - the fourth studio album by Section 25, originally issued by Factory Records in 1988.
*Recorded in 1986 by Larry and Jenny Cassidy after the original group splintered, the   self-produced album explores both electronic and acoustic terrain. The 7 bonus tracks include both remixes of Bad News Week by Bernard Sumner of New Order, released as a Factory maxi single. Factory Benelux single Crazy Wisdom also features (produced by Sumner with Donald Johnson of A Certain Ratio), along with several previously unreleased demo tracks and remixes.

4AD finally repress the debut and seminal debut Bauhaus album on vinyl with a CD version included as well. In 1980, after almost single-handedly inventing the goth genre with their debut Small Wonder released single, 'Bela Lugosi's Dead', Bauhaus recorded 'In The Flat Field' for the 4AD label. 'In The Flat Field' is classic and influential, a deadly combination. The album has a printed inner bag replica of the original pressing.

Finally repressed on vinyl in a lavish gatefold sleeve, with CD version. In 1981, Bauhaus had no competition in the field of 'Goth' music and could afford to experiment a little. 'Mask' is the group's second album, and it contains some of their best work

We're proud to announce Ian Clement is now part of the expanding Unday Records roster, with his debut record 'Drawing Daggers' set for release in March.

Ian Clement is no stranger, as he is part of Belgian rock trio Wallace Vanborn. His solo work is something entirely different and far more intimate though - consider it to be his Mr. Hyde contrary to the Dr. Jekyll he unleashes in Wallace Vanborn.

'Drawing Daggers' was recorded during a six month session in the midst of the woods in the south of Belgium with producer Peter Obbels and features contributions by Karel De Backer (Novastar, Mangold), Wouter Van Belle (Dead Man Ray), Jon Birdsong (Beck) and Lara Chedraoui (Intergalactic Lovers). Fans of singer-songwriters like Mark Lanegan, Dan Auerbach and Edward Sharpe will fall head over heels for Ian's intriguing story-telling.

Dans Dans unites the talents of three musicians of the highest order:
Bert Dockx on guitar (also lead singer and driving force behind Flying Horseman)
Fred Lyenn on bass (better known as Lyenn, songsmith and guitarist)
And Steven Cassiers on drums (Dez Mona)

Their second abum I/II, produced by Koen Gisen, is being released on Unday Records April 22nd.
From garage jazz, psychedelic blues and ecstatic noir soundtracks to spacey rock-'n-roll: the labels that get thrown at Dans Dans give a pretty good indication of their eclecticism. Both their first album and their live shows are inspired by the likes of Sun Ra, Nick Drake, Sonny Rollins and Ennio Morricone, but also involve taking these masters on fearless improvisational adventures.


Even the most stubborn of jazz purists wouldn't dare accuse them of pointless jams. While they take on indelible, timeless themes, Dans Dans never fails to rise to the challenge of making them their own, with rolling drums, driving bass and elastic guitar lines. But it's above all live, dancing on the razor's edge, that the band reveals its true nature; a restless gang of music junkies constantly on the hunt for musical innovation.


They stayed under the radar for years, but 2012 was a turning point, with a well received debut album and concerts in Belgium and abroad that earned them rave reviews. From newspapers such as De Standaard and De Morgen and magazines such as Gonzo (circus), Oor and Focus Knack to webzines such as Enola: the band kept racking up fans, accolades and places on the 'year's best' lists.


Meanwhile, the trio has not slowed its pace. They have completed recording their second album, which will again feature covers - this time of Tom Waits, Robert Wyatt, David Bowie, Morricone, Mingus, Coleman and Sun Ra - as well as their own compositions and will be released in April 2013 on Unday Records.

Something of a poultry offering here as we ransack the coop to pull out these two Chicken-based oddities.
On the top side is the Nite Hawks (a very early incarnation of the Crusaders - yes them of 'Street Life' success and ignominy) with their wondrous, slinky instrumental number 'Chicken Grabber', a jazzy, bump and grinder punctuated by frenzied clucking from the hens and deranged muttering from their unknown pursuer. Made infamous by its appearance in John Waters' notorious schlock-fest 'Pink Flamingos', 'Chicken Grabber' is surely one of the best songs about chicken ever made. That might seem a weak claim on the face of it, but then just consider the hundreds, perhaps thousands of other records inspired by our fowl feathered friends, and then consider that on the flip-side of this little rooster, we serve up Scott Wood's 'Chicken Rock' - another rock & roll curio with a decidedly unhinged air, and another of the very best chicken sides ever waxed.

The slug trails of idea, half-truth and the untold. Catching the light of the full moon, crisscrossing each other on the path. We set about devising a map with places of which we had heard, through some chance visits and low sky directions. A mental map stretched down to Orford in the south, Southwold in the north and inland for twenty miles or so in the county of Suffolk on the east horn of the UK. A man was walking. A dog had been prowling, men readied for an apocalypse. Was the sea telling stories Old songs and new roads, coughing, standing spitting, while we squinted into one of the hollows of England.

Produced by heritage futurists 2 Banks Of 4, the multi-faceted Gallagher has created a topographical travelogue - a concept album in the truest sense - where the songs tell fragments of stories that have grown out of a small region in the Eastern Horn of England, with sounds more akin to recordings emanating from the Louisiana marshlands. Drawing on the abundant talents of Tom Skinner (drums); Finn Peters (flute); Shawn Lee (guitars); Tom Rodwell (guitars); Tom Herbert (bass); Gil Cang (organ); Valerie Etienne (voices); and Alice Grant (voices), William Adamson's voyage into deepest East Anglia shares the same musical roots as Tom Waits and Dr. John.



Drawing inspiration from the Suffolk landscape - ancient burial grounds, fortifications against Nazi invaders, sea defences now inadequate against global warming and forests felled by the great storm of 1987 - stories are interwoven and layered with meaning. Cautionary tales of fallen women, folk songs and gothic legends fuse with reflections and refractions from W. G. Sebald's book The Rings of Saturn, whose themes of the transience of human existence set against the decay and erosion of English coastal life resonate with the album as a whole. It was a chance discovery at the end of a recording session, inspiring the track of the same title.

*One of the most celebrated Japanese Underground bands have returned! It may have taken over 12 years, but Kawabata Makoto, guitar guru and head honcho in Acid Mothers Temple, has finally decided to get his celebrated
'psychedelic solid free attack group' back together. Joining original Mainliner members Kawabata Makoto (motorpsycho guitar) and Koji Shimura (drums) is new recruit Kawabe Taigen (bass/vocals) and the trio still kick
up one hell of a sonic racket.

*Confusion surrounds the exact details of the recording, but they seem to date from December 2011, and from Kawabata's mountain top temple studio-cum-home. The man himself, as always, is shying away from sharing too
many of the magick details about the Mainliner rebirth. And the stark, minimal black with gold sleeve keeps the mystery intact, apart from the grainy band photo on the rear.

*All said, 'Revelation Space', is a comeback statement of intent. And it's firmly in the same 'in the red / raw' camp as the original trio's classic 'Mellow Out'. From the initial speaker shaking feedback burst of opener 'Revelation Space', right through to the closing 20-minute epic 'New Sun' (which showcases Taigen's otherworldly howl perfectly) there is no let up in the brutal delivery.

*This will no doubt delight those Mainliner diehards who never thought they'd see the day again, and all those with a love of over the top guitar howls and punishing feedback levels, but always under pinned by some righteous
grooves.

Red Hot Chili Peppers are to unveil 18 previously unreleased sides from the 'I'm With You' sessions. Each of the songs will be available worldwide both digitally and on vinyl, with two sides per seven-inch. The sixth pair of sides - 'In Love Dying (Part One)', on the A-side and 'In Love Dying (Part Two)' on the AA-side - will be released on February 01st 2013.

Each of the nine seven-inches released will be able to be combined by fans to create one larger piece of artwork. The cover artwork has been designed by Kelsey Brookes. Brookes' well-documented background in microbiology, surf culture and folk art combine in explosive prisms of raucous colour, bold imagery and timeless motifs. His work has appeared in countless group shows, art fairs, and magazines such as GQ, Modern Painters, Juxtapoz, Beautiful Decay and Dazed and Confused.

Streetwalker is a collaboration between Chicago residents Elon Katz (White Car/Hippos in Tanks) and Beau Wanzer (Mutant Beat Dance/L.I.E.S).
They wrote their debut album 'Future Fusion' over the course of two years. Through endless experimentation and analog improvisation, they have constructed an entirely new sound showcasing vibrant hand-played synthesizer, vulnerable
vocals, and serpentine drum lines.

Streetwalker's distinct song structures are characterized as much by restraint, timing, and subtle shift as by the cyclic abandon of the loop. Having recorded the entire album over one humid weekend in the Chicago studio, Minbal, the duo's recording process mirrored this tension. Much like a rock record, each track was recorded entirely live to 1 inch tape - no overdubs, no MIDI programming - and then painstakingly mixed with digital precision during the six months that followed.

In line with this principle of handcrafted reconfiguration, the artwork for the LP was produced in collaboration with digital artist Spencer Longo (IMG Masters/The Jogging), who harvested images and textures from Wanzer's extensive collection of classic sci-fi and horror editorial to construct an anachronistically futuristic interface.

Ltd (1k) 7" vinyl with exclusive bonus track "Power Of Soul". The lead single from the forthcoming album "People, Hell & Angels", which showcases his solo (not part of the Jimi Hendrix Experience trio) studio recordings between 1968-70. This single is a newly discovered gem from 1968. The track features Buddy Miles on drums & Stephen Stills on bass.
