Toe is a Japanese music group. While mentioned in many post-rock circles, their song structure and dynamics are similar to many popular math rock artists.
toe is composed of Kashikura Takashi on drums, Mino Takaaki on guitar, Yamane Satoshi on bass guitar, and Yamazaki Hirokazu on guitar. Toe has formally played with this line-up since the band's inception in 2000. They are currently one of three bands on the indie label Machu Picchu, along with the band mouse on the keys and Enemies.
The vast majority of the music is instrumental and features the swift and acute drumming of Takashi. The band is also known for its melodic, clean guitar settings. Additionally, the compositions have repetition from typical rock motifs, but use very subtle changes in beat and rhythm to form a unique sound. The band has changed their sound over their musical tenure by incorporating acoustic guitars, rhodes piano, and vibraphones in their most recent releases.
The band tours regularly in Japan, and can most notably be compared to acts such as Pele and The Album Leaf.
The beauty of their majestic music is that is sounds as if mystical harmonies and raw emotion is being churned out at the same time. Their explosive live performances have had fans across the globe spellbound. Their inspiring performance at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL has recently been the most memorable.

John, I'm Only Dancing' was originally released on Friday, September 1st, 1972 on RCA (catalogue no. RCA 2263) as the follow-up single to 'Starman', and reached number 12 on the UK charts, immediately becoming a live favourite with the fans, though it never appeared on one of Bowie's studio albums. The single fails to secure a US release as both the title and subject matter were deemed too risqué for that market. Recorded too late for inclusion on the 'Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars', it was considered for the following year's 'Aladdin Sane', but never made it on to the final running order. There were two recordings of the original version, one produced by David and Ken Scott at Trident Studios on June 24th and a later, note for note production, by David alone at Olympic Studios on June 26th, 1972. A new version, a punchier take, recorded in January 1973, features tighter guitar and sax played by Keith Fordham (often referred to by fans as the 'sax version'), is on the AA side of this anniversary 7". It replaced the original single version in April 1973, confusingly carrying the same catalogue number and B-side as the original single.The image on the A side features a shot from Mick Rock's original promo film for the original single version, the promo film being deemed too suggestive for broadcast on the BBC's Top Of The Pop's. The BBC instead chose to broadcast the track backed by a film of butch motorcycle riders! The promo film was shot at the Rainbow Theatre, London during down time from rehearsals on August 25th, 1972. The AA side features an image taken by photographer Sukita at the Radio City Music Hall in New York on February 15th, 1973.

Why Kim Fowley isn't more of a punk icon is one of the many mysteries of music history—not only was he thumbing his nose at everyone and everything years before it was in fashion, but he managed to do it without anyone even catching on! Pay close attention to his lyrics on songs like 'Reincarnation', Super Flower or 'Flower Drum Drum' and you'll see what I mean! That Fowley managed to mock the hippies as early as 1967 and pass it off as a serious contribution to the genre is just further testimony to his brilliance. Ok, so he got a bad rap for manipulating and stealing from the band he would famously go on to form in the mid seventies (the Runaways), but then, you don't have to be a saint to be a genius!

Formed by Florentine guitarist Franco Falsini (formerly of Noi Tre) and American drummer Keith Edwards, Sensations' Fix was one of the most exciting acts to come out of the Italian music scene of the 1970s. Beginning in 1974, from their outpost in the Florentine countryside, Falsini and Edwards (along with bassist Richard Ursillo) recorded a handful of excellent albums that were more closely aligned with the German krautrock scene of the era than Italian prog. This album is a compilation of rare studio and live tracks of the band circa 1978-1980.

A nine-month tour followed its release in 1977 that set new visual standards for stadium rock acts, incorporating a giant space ship, fog machines and laser displays. Music On Vinyl celebrates the European rerelease of Out Of The Blue with a limited run of 1.000 on transparent blue vinyl.
Daub a bit of glitter on your cheekbones and become a star; Marc Bolan of British Glam Rock band T. Rex did just that. But it wasn't just his flamboyant personality, eerily good looks and enigmatic stage presence that made him one of the most popular artists of his time: he was a prolific songwriter & poet, and an inventive singer and guitarist to boot. In 1972 EMI signed this remarkable artist and created his own label for him: T. Rex Wax Co., on which he would release six albums in as many years, until Bolan's fatal car crash in 1977. This compilation is a collection of all the singles he cut for the label, and Music On Vinyl is the first to release it on vinyl. With its excellent artwork and liner notes by Mark Paytress, 'The T.Rex Wax Co. Singles A's and B's' is a great introduction for those less familiar with the British pioneers, and 'T.
