Nu-hardcore quintet, Bodyweb, are the sound of someone’s nervous system on the verge of breakdown—hyperactive, tormented and unflinchingly vulnerable. Born out of the Leeds hardcore scene, they’re a shape-shifting alloy of jagged emotion and precision chaos. What began as late-night jams between Louis Hardy (Higher Power, Big Cheese, Fate) and Ben Jones (Pest Control) eventually mutated into train_wreck_simulation, a debut EP filled with frantic breakdowns and nu-metal swag that felt like the soundtrack to a digital exorcism. The final piece of the puzzle came from Hardy’s estranged childhood friend, pq. His twisted samples and synthetic textures are haunted and disturbed, injecting cyberpunk soul into hardcore flesh. Contorting through several iterations in the following years, the band absorbed Luke Thompson (Stiff Meds) on drums, filmmaker Tom Hobson on guitar and Naomi Macleod (Empire State Bastard) on bass, and laid down their first collective offering. deadwired is due out on Flatspot Records later this year. Bodyweb's second EP is a violent thesis on connection and pain that sends Hardy’s unfiltered vocals through heaven and hell. Four overstimulating tracks run a gamut of styles and influences from Slipknot to Björk, constantly lane-switching between dizzying heaviness, ambient soundscapes and brain-burrowing hooks. Entirely self-produced, deadwired upgrades the sonic formula laid down on the last record and raises the question: what else could exist in Bodyweb’s twisted roadmap? Nothing seems impossible. What seems important, however, is retaining the rawness in a style that can often turn sterile. “We still wanted it to sound very human. It had to be well produced but not cold and lifeless.” shares Hardy. “We didn’t use a click track. All guitars were real amps with microphones. We tried to make everything as real and raw as possible, we recorded using all the same gear we use when playing live too to really capture the energy of how it feels when we jam together." ‘Deadwired’ is a snapshot of violent implosion. Four ADHD-fuelled transmissions from the edge of spiritual collapse. It drags metallic hardcore through glitched-out ambience to confront ego death, generational trauma, and the violence of being alive. On stage, Bodyweb don’t just perform, they purge. Raucous live electronics meld with digitally contorted guitars. Breakbeats meet breakdowns—no backing track in sight. Bodyweb enable a collective catharsis. Mosh, dance, dive, scream, heal. A physical therapy session screamed into the void.

Throughout his work with Wolf Parade, Handsome Furs, Divine Fits, Operators, Atlas Strategic, and more, the iconic Canadian indie rocker recognizes that few feelings are more gratifying-more memorable, more generative, more abundant-than hope. But it takes getting the hell out of your own way. A culmination of that deep library of musical reference, Boeckner is set to release his first album under his own name: Boeckner! No matter where his genre exploration has taken him, there's something about growing up in punk and DIY spaces that puts collaboration in Boeckner's blood. Composed of a collection of intimately familiar elements, Boeckner! elicits the same thrill of young passion and discovery. It's a jet-powered chase through a tech-noir cityscape-fueled by a dream and that special someone in the passenger seat. That urgency and passion have always been a trademark of Boeckner's, and writing on his own pushes those feelings further into the center of the scope. But while Boeckner may be the clear driving force behind the album, he's not without collaborators for his solo debut. After meeting producer Randall Dunn while contributing to the soundtrack to the Nicolas Cage-starring psychedelic horror film Mandy, Boeckner knew he'd found the perfect counterpart for his solo debut. "I'd been a fan of his forever, especially the Sunn0))) records he produced," Boeckner says. "Working with Randall really unlocked some suppressed musical urges, things that I enjoy in my private life but don't normally weave into what I'm releasing-like occult synth, pseudo-metal, krautrock, and heavy psych influences." That base allows Boeckner to thoughtfully weave between emotional imagism and more grounded storytelling. Throughout the record, his imagery delves into science fiction, but it's charged first and foremost by experience. The trio of Boeckner, Dunn, and drummer Matt Chamberlain (Pearl Jam, David Bowie, Fiona Apple) formed a sort of dark engine for the album, and Chamberlain's ingenious approach of triggering a vintage Arp synthesizer simultaneously with each drum track helped Boeckner shape the record's atmosphere. That tense futurism was influenced by Boeckner's time staying in Dunn's Circular Ruin studio, a dusky, electronic aura burned into every track. By the end of the album, Boeckner! eases from sci-fi epic into something more akin to a torched VHS copy of a John Cassevetes film, the chemtrails and nuclear fallout fading long in the distance. Like all good sci-fi, the emotion and pain hits home for the author and listener alike, and the genre flourishes bolster the human experience. In revealing more than ever before, Boeckner! ratchets up the musical intensity to unforeseen levels and hopes to find some peace at the end of the journey.

Credited as one of the best late '60s German psych-rock albums, Bokaj Retsiem's ('meister Jakob' in reverse) Psychedelic Underground is an eccentric, soulful, acidn and fuzzy rockin' essay that clearly prefigures a part of the krautrock movement. Featuring Rainer Deigner, former guitar for the '60s beat German group Former Bonds, as the only credited musician and composer on this album (although other musicians assisted him on bass, keyboards, and that B3 Hammond and Leslie sound), this is basically Rainer's freaked-out tribute to his favorite children's song, 'Meister Jakob,' consisting in trippy instrumental sections, furiously savage E-guitar crescendos, amazing psych-rock improvisation, with just a hint of '60s US psych-garage. A real enthusiastic psych-kraut trip for fans of Vanilla Fudge, Hendrix,and Iron Butterfly.

“Everything Else Has Gone Wrong” will be released on the 17th January through Caroline International/Island Records. It is the eagerly anticipated follow-up to the British band’s acclaimed number 1 charting, Mercury Music Prize nominated fourth album, ‘So Long, See You Tomorrow’ released back in 2014.
 
The new album was largely recorded out in the US alongside Grammy Award winning producer John Congleton (St. Vincent/Sharon Van Etten/War on Drugs). It features the band’s euphoric new single, “Eat, Sleep, Wake (Nothing But You)”. The video was directed by Louis Bhose, the band’s old touring keyboardist who has quickly become the go-to director for countless artists in recent years (Michael Kiwanuka & Tom Misch, Lewis Capaldi, The Big Moon, Loyle Carner). It was shot out in Ukraine.
 
Speaking of the record’s title, vocalist/guitarist Jack Steadman explains: “This is an album for anyone who’s ever turned to music in a time of need.  It’s about the solace one can get from listening to music or playing music.  For me personally it's about the frustration of not being able to express myself to others, of leaving conversations feeling dissatisfied and misunderstood. Music’s the way I’m able to truly express myself”.

Bombay Bicycle Club have continued to grow, develop and evolve since the release of their debut album, “I Had The Blues But I Shook Them Loose”, back in 2009 when they signalled their arrival as young teenagers. Rarely in recent years has there been a British guitar band who have the craft and ability to avoid categorisation whilst uniting hundreds of thousands of fans across the globe. With an innate ear for melody and invention, the four-piece are a very welcome return to the fold just as British guitar music makes a timely renaissance.
 
To coincide with the new album’s announcement, Bombay Bicycle Club are also excited to share a thirteen date UK and Ireland headline tour which immediately follows its release.

Formados en 1978, Bomis Prendin son un colectivo de "noisicians" procedentes de Washington DC, pioneros dentro del movimiento DIY, Industrial, la cultura de cassettes y la electrónica experimental. Usando grabadoras de cassettes, instrumentos musicales de juguete modificados, guitarra eléctrica, bajo, pedales de efectos, teclados baratos y sintes caseros, Bomis Prendin editaron un par de flexi–discos (Test y Phantom Limb), gracias a los cuales fueron incluidos en la ya legendaria lista de Nurse With Wound.

Bon Jovi are releasing their new album "Forever" just in time for the band's 40th anniversary. With the brand new single "Legendary", the legendary rock band from New Jersey gives a foretaste of their 16th studio album.

"I'm very proud of this album, the sound, the songwriting. I think it's the best album we've recorded in the last 20 years. The fans will love it," says Jon Bon Jovi.

Im Sommer 1974, kurz vor Bon Scott´s Einstieg bei den legendären Aussie-Rockern von AC/DC, nahm er zusammen mit Peter Head die beiden Songs Carey Gully und Rock and Round im Blues-Rock Stil auf, die nun - fast 50 (!) Jahre später - auf einer strikt limitierte 7inch Picture Single veröffentlicht werden. Ein musikalisches Dokument von einem der besten und größten Sänger der Musikwelt.

Back in 1978, Punk Songwriter and Guitarist Tony Keating had a few songs he’d written and was looking for a singer. A friend encountered Chas at a tube station after a gig and asked her if she was interested in singing on Tony’s tracks. She'd been singing to herself on the platform before climbing across the tracks to rip down a poster that had taken her fancy. A few weeks later, they had christened themselves Bona Rays (Good Looking in Polari) and were in a studio in Highbury, North London cutting two tracks. They punted this single around the record companies, but to no avail. The acetate from the sessions sat in Chas' cupboard, while Tony kept hold of the master tape.

40 years later, Chas was moving house and decided to sell her records. She took them to Flashback Records where owner Mark Burgess bought the collection. In amongst these records was an unknown 7” acetate. After Chas left the shop, intrigued by this oddity, Mark played 'Poser' on the shop system. Fate stepped in as Chas walked back into the shop at that moment to sell a few DVDs she’d forgotten to bring along earlier and said – “Oh – you’re playing our song”.
And what a song it is - of such coincidences history is made.
Seeing the importance of this otherwise unheard Acetate, probably the only UK punk single recorded in the 1970s fronted by a woman of West Indian descent, Mark suggested to Chas that they release the single on Flashback Records. Chas was still in contact with Tony and they both very happily agreed to release Bona Rays long lost ‘Poser' and the B-Side, Getaway Blues.
Wanting to do the release properly, Mark got in contact with Punk enthusiast Josh Saco, who happened to have a background in print, and enlisted the help of Dr Russ Bestley, Punk Professor at the University of the Arts in London to design the sleeve. Josh was keen to do as close a facsimile as possible of a 1978 7” Single Sleeve with authentic paper and print style and Russ came up with a sleeve which would look entirely happy sitting on the shelves of Rough Trade in 1978. So now we present Poser by Bona Rays. The great lost UK Punk Single.

Swedish Hard Rockers Bonafide is finally back in business with their new album "Are You Listening?" This is the bands first studio album since 2017´s "Flames", and not only are they back, they are back with a vengeance! Every single one of the ten new tracks shows a band that once again are on fire! It´s pure high-energy uncompromising hard rock on a level that very few which very few other bands can match. The album is produced by Chips Kiesbye (Hellacopters, Sator, Sahara Hotnights, Backyard Babies) and the song "Snacket" features a duet with Nisse Hellberg from the legendary Swedish band Wilmer X.

Nachdem letztes Jahr mit »Das Lied vom Tod« bereits ein erster deutschsprachiger Song von Bonaparte erschien, veröffentlichte er nun am 05.04.2019 mit »Big Data (feat. Farin Urlaub und Bela B.)« die nächste Single und kündigt gleichzeitig sein siebtes Studioalbum »Was mir passiert« an.

»Was Mir Passiert« entstand innerhalb der letzten zwei Jahre auf mehreren Reisen zwischen Abidjan und Berlin. Ein Freund erzählte damals Bonaparte alias Tobias Jundt von der pulsierenden Energie der Stadt: »Alles, was er erzählt hat, klang so aufregend, dass ich im Juni 2017 einfach mal runtergefahren bin. Was ich in Abidjan erlebt habe, war wie ein Katalysator, eine überwältigende Erfahrung«, sagt Jundt. »Von der dortigen Musikszene geht eine wahnsinnige Energie aus«, fügt er hinzu. »So ähnlich hab ich das vor 12 Jahren gespürt, als ich das erste Mal in Berlin angekommen bin. Diese Aufbruchsstimmung!«

Aus einer Reise werden mehrere. Und mit jedem Aufenthalt kommen neue Freunde dazu. In Abidjan lernt Bonaparte Musiker, Tänzer, Produzenten kennen und beginnt, mit ihnen an einem Pop-Hybriden der besonderen Art zu arbeiten. »Ich kann natürlich die dort vorherrschenden Musikstile nicht kopieren, aber ich kann versuchen damit zu interagieren«, beschreibt Jundt seinen Workflow. Von jeder Reise an die Elfenbeinküste bringt er neue Musik und Ideen mit, die er zurück im Studio in Berlin weiter entwickelt und abstrahiert. So entsteht »Was Mir Passiert«: Ein fiebriges Amalgam aus europäischen und afrikanischen Einflüssen, auf dem Features wie die an der Elfenbeinküste geborene und mehrmals für den Grammy nominierte Songwriterin Fatoumata Diawara oder der ivorische Streetstyle-Rapper Bop de Narr genau so ihren Platz finden wie Sophie Hunger, Farin Urlaub und Bela B.

If there is something certain about the careers of guitarist Bernd “Bernemann” Kost and drummer Markus “Makka” Freiwald it is their being consistent and authentic. Being active for more than 30 years both are deeply rooted in what could be considered the origin of German Thrash Metal - the infamous Ruhr-Area. With their history as musicians in bands such as Despair, Angel Dust, Voodoo Cult, Kreator and last but not least Sodom they look back on an arsenal of experience in terms of songwriting, production and performance. Since continuity is the major thread in their career they wouldn’t be who they are if they weren’t to return with a new band after their split with Sodom. Bonded is emblematic for a creative bond of musicians with the approach to deliver Thrash Metal that is both grounded and versatile, yet bonded to their origin without being stale. In 2018 Bernemann and Makka teamed up with Chris Tsitsis (ex-Suicidal Angels, Destroy Them) as second guitarist, Marc Hauschild on Bass and Ingo Bajonczak of Assassin (ex-New Damage, ex-Supersoma, ex-Lord of Giant) on vocals whose striking voice and vocal versatility has become one of Bonded’s trademarks - brutal honesty and melodic poetry. On Rest In Violence these trademarks instantly hit you with massive capacity. Raucous and sawing guitars, heavy-hitting drums on solid grooves, blistering leads and shredding solos in combination with aggressive shouts and melodic vocal lines offer everything a metal head can ask for. Tracks like Suit Murderer and the title track Rest In Violence (Which features Bobby “Blitz” Ellsworth of Overkill on guest vocals) are perfectly representative for Bonded´s music - intense, yet highly dynamic Thrash Metal that will hit you with force where the imminent impact is inevitable. Lyrically Rest In Violence offers a wide variety of themes and topics - from personal experiences such as misery and despair in The Outer Rim or the free-to-interpret Godgiven to socially critical topics as in No Cure For Life or the striking Je Suis Charlie, which speaks for itself. Rest In Violence was produced and engineered by Cornelius Rambadt (Sodom, Disbelief, Onkel Tom, etc.) at the Rambado Recording Studio in Essen, Germany and comes packaged in artwork by Björn Gooßes / Killustrations (Aborted, The Crown, Carnal Forge, etc.).
