Over the past few years Harry has burst onto the scene with a prolific run of releases for labels such as Lost Palms, Piff and Music Is Love, displaying a wide-ranging sonic palette whether it falls under classification as house, techno, electro, garage... or whatever else he turns his hand to! The 12''s lead track 'Life Unlimited' starts off as a euphoric italo-flavoured piano-house banger before breaking down into a bleep-tastic middle and back again. It hits all the right spots and will no doubt tick all the boxes for DJs looking for a sure-fire peak-time jam!
On the b-side the music takes a deeper turn with the immaculately produced dub-techno of 'Fish In The Tank' which is then followed by the stunning uk garage inspired 'It's All Good' - this one gets seriously under your skin! Label-head JAMES KUMO brings three original cuts to his KMusic imprint with Plan B co-founder DJ SPIDER on remix duties. Title track 'Drifter' kicks things off as celestial pads swell alongside rumbling sub bass and ethereal arpeggios before off-kilter synths and rugged industrial drums are presented by New York's DJ Spider who steps up to deliver a darker and more dramatic aesthetic with his interpretation.
Next, 'Evolution' sees Kumo utilise stereo delayed chord stabs as underpinning pads create an ethereal feel. Rounding off the package, 'Spectro Jazz' sees a brooding top line resonating alongside jazz-infused atmospherics and subtle background effects to create a raw, refined and hypnotic finish to the release.

Catalogue Reference number 6 of overall music limited, comes from the hand of the Portuguese producers : Pedro Goya & Magazino. Renown names of the Lisbon scene, they are Involved in different projects such as parties and record label « Bloop » in the case of Magazino and Frenzy Music for Pegro Goya. Here they deliver 3 originals cuts in their Canal (ep) where they show their love for analogue sounds between House and Techno. The release is coming with a remix of the label co-owners Hanfry Martinez & Javier Carballo who've turned Dublock track into a groovy & hypnotic version.

A memorably bracing, momentarily pummeling highlight of 'Song For Alpha', Daniel Avery perfectly bridges the light and dark contrast of his influences on standout cut, 'Diminuendo'. Uncompromising tech-noid drums establish genuine frenzy, matched by a pulsating industrial drone, ultimately collapsing into ethereal feedback, before one final round of frenetic rhythm.

On 'Hyper Detail', the intense acid lurking beneath the surface of 'Song For Alpha' is dramatically unleashed, easily matching the frantic energy of the previous track, and upping the potential for wide-eyed, rave-friendly electronic hypnosis. 'Light Of Falling Rain' is more severe and equally intricate, creating immediate enormous tension and re-lease with a barrage of snarling electro and expertly intertwined mi-crorhythms.

Finally, on 'Time Marked Its Irregular Pulse In Her Eyes', the disem-bodied elements of Avery's studio communicate something cryptic and unnerving as a farewell. The most uncompromising and purely physical batch of material to emerge in the wake of 'Song For Alpha', the 'Di-minuendo' EP finds Avery on urgent and ruthless form.

Following on from David Morales' appearance on the label earlier this year, Rekids tap up Shed and Ryan Elliott for a pair of percussive reimaginations. Well known for remixes of the Thompson Twins, Shawn Christopher, Clive Griffin and the Pet Shop Boys, Morales' Red Zone moniker was conceived during the Def Mix legend's formative years at the renowned club sharing the same name.
50 Weapons and Monkeytown's Shed adopts his Head High alter ego for a remix that draws the original's vocals into the spotlight before planting thunderous kick drums beneath whilst dusty pads operate above. Meanwhile, Ostgut Ton affiliate Ryan Elliott crafts a reimagination that incorporates breaky percussion, a rumbling low end and sweeping astral synths.

Continuing its conversation between the foggy environs of the Pacific Northwest and NYC's thriving dance underground, Blankstairs is thrilled to announce its newest release, Dream City's Forward, a collaboration between S. Deelay and C. Perez (head of PDX's consistently innovative Pastel Voids imprint).

The project marks an impressively focused exchange for the pair, mixing the deep atmospherics of Perez's Metropol project with the raw eclecticism and crate-digging expertise of Deelay's Insane Deelay handle. Having first met several years prior in Portland, the pair has collaborated on and off for several years, including a 2014 release on Pastel Voids, a throbbing, smoke-stained cassette that charted fertile ground for future work. Since then, the pair has followed their respective paths on opposite sides of the Atlantic in recent years, while maintaining a fertile dialogue between their evolving styles and musical vocabularies, one that sees a natural point of convergence on Forward.

The record serves as an exercise between each artist's honed approach to both DJing and live production, twisting the grooves and functionality of classic jack tracks and bass tunes through a haze of processed electronics and swirling, multi-textured arrangements. Lead cut, Down 2, for instance, spins fragments of classic Chicago acid through an abstracted cloud of synth swells and pulsing bass, while Hopeful Visions slows the pace down, allowing snippets of chopped vocal sampling and swirling pads to pair off against a thudding main figure. These are workouts exploring both patience and density, drawing on the pair's sense of development and progression to create engrossing, evolving final products that mark a fittingly deep expansion of the pair's ongoing collaboration, and each artist's solo work in turn.

The record features four tracks from the project, alongside a properly misted out, deconstructed re-work of Hopeful Visions by Max McFerren, and an added, digital-only bonus featuring Perez's Metropol take on Down 2.

Following their recent remix of KiNK's 'Perth' for Running Back, 17 Steps bosses Dusky present their first original productions of 2018 in the five-track Aset Forever EP.

Aset Forever is named in tribute to Jan Francis, a friend of Nick & Alfie who tragically lost his life late last year. Founder of the ATG graffiti crew and School Records (alongside Loefah) - Jan was responsible for Dusky's first London gigs both at ATG Warehouse parties and their Staunch residency at Corsica Studios.

Covering hard synth driven grooves, tranced-out Italo, proggy techno and blissed out breakbeat house, the five track EP keeps things strictly dancefloor focused - again showcasing the duo's unique ability to take a myriad of influences and wrestle them into new hybrids that sound their own.

Lead track 'Amongst The Gods' has been a standout across their sets this year. Taking shuffling breakbeat house rhythms, classic sunrise melodies and 90s rave vocals, it builds to an understated but infectious warehouse crescendo. The EP swiftly moves onto 'The Ace' - Striking at 130 BPM, 'The Ace' is a hard hitting surge of twisted sonics and clipped rave samples. A dark slab of warehouse tech, 'Staunch' follows, with rolling Reese basslines, 'ecstasy' samples and eerie sci-fi chords.

The second half of the EP sees Dusky take things deeper. 'Angles' is a blissed out wash of Detroit techno stabs and vintage house textures, before 'The Captain' rounds off the EP with punchy Italo basslines and icy synths.

Since 2008 Düsseldorf based producer and live wizard Stefan Schwander deeply concentrates on his always evolving electronic venture named Harmonious Thelonious. It besprinkles the world with fractional musical structures in the spirits of American minimal music, in order to immingle them with African rhythm patterns. Exceptional hypnotic opiates, enlarged with twisted harmonies and tricky rhythm archetypes. All heavy danceable!

After five magnetic albums for labels like Emotional Response and his old home base Italic as well as a highly acclaimed string of EPs for in-demand platforms like Asafa, Diskant, Disk, Kontra-Muzik, Meakusma, The Trilogy Tapes or Versatile Records, he now produced a heavy arresting 'Petrolia' LP for Marmo Music - a label that is not new to Harmonious Thelonious. Already on the label's second release Tru West: 'The DOWC part 2' his 'Sunset Liturgy' fingerprints are audible with a moving remix. Now he delivers six epic tunes that only partly dance the familiar Harmonious Thelonious dance. There are deeply traces from Africa and Arabia. There is the polyrhythmic witchery that makes his music special. But in contrast his new tunes are more mental then his former ones. They have a menacing industrial feel but yet continue to be enlarged with the enchanting spirits of the land of the Sahara. Furthermore, there is a slight manic touch arising from nervous electronic and foremost organic melodies. The live played jittery is coming from the Berlin based experimental musician Ghazi Barakat, also known under monikers like Pharoah Chromium or Crème de Hassan for mind shredding ambient, drone, experimental, noise, industrial, free jazz and free improvisation music from beyond. For Harmonious Thelonious Barakat, who also produced together with Marmo Music artist Günther Schickert the collaboration album 'OXTLR' in 2014, tuned his wind instruments Rauschpfeife and Kangling elflock-stricken the Master Musicians of Jajouka way. And instead of giving them a prominent lead position, Schwander deeply implements his tones into his propulsive creations to evoke a modern rhythmic meltdown of Occident versus Orient spheres that exhale a deeply absorbing soul.

A record, who's psychedelic energy fits perfect into the Marmo Music cosmos - a world where the progressiveness of the 70ties continues to live in the current to disband all white bread musical norms for the energy of music without classes. Dancers of the world, unite!

Helmut Ebritsch is best known for his work as one half of Klartraum, alongside partner in crime Nadja Lind as well as for his work as Hatikvah with vocalist Florian Schirmacher. Now he is serving up a first vinyl extract of his full-length album under his own name, the stunning 'Souls Transmitting' that proves his wide-ranging studio skills have no bounds.

UNCAGE founder Marco Faraone debuts on Rekids, dropping four techno cuts on the label's Special Projects series this March.

The Italian producer has had a busy few years touring North America, South America and Europe, not to mention dropping releases on labels like Ovum and Tenax Recordings. Meanwhile his UNCAGE imprint, which he runs alongside Norman Methner, has quickly cemented a reputation for quality house and techno; releasing music from artists like Eduardo De La Calle, Pablo Mateo and Fabio Della Torre (under his Corcos moniker).

With its rolling percussion and a heady spoken word sample, 'Find The Song' introduces a quintessential Rekids record. Thunderous kick drums and piercing stabs then form the high-octane 'Arcane' before the dark and ominous 'Justice' demonstrates industrial elements and floating atmospherics. Tying it all together, tantalizing melodies join echoing effects for the final track titled 'Layers'.

UNCAGE founder Marco Faraone makes his second appearance on Rekids with a massive vocal cut entitled 'On My Way', featuring a remix from 50Weapons and Hyperdub's Addison Groove.

The Italian techno producer had an active year touring in 2017, dropping only one release on Tenax Recordings. However, 2018 is already proving to be one of his busiest on the production front, with releases appearing on Rekids Special Projects, On Edge Society and his own label UNCAGE, not to mention forthcoming appearances on Gigolo and Avotre. He now returns to Rekids with his biggest sounding record yet.

With its infectious vocal, rolling kicks and off-beat hats, it is undeniable that 'On My Way' is destined to become one of this year's most recognisable club tracks. On the flip, Bristolian producer and Swamp 81 affiliate Addison Groove has produced an intricate remix featuring a cacophony of percussion as a stuttering low-end joins chilling synths. Finally, Faraone concludes the package with a 'Dub Acid Rework', losing the vocals whilst incorporating heady 303 licks.

Parisian imprint Hard Beach Entertainment follow up some great releases by Corporation Mindfuck, DJ SCSI and Bastien Carrara with some old-school electro vibes by the mysterious Reflective Souls. This is their second release for the label. Beginning in bold fashion with the brooding retro bounce of "Doom 2020" on the A side, but it's on the flip where this 12" really shines. The evocative Motor City aesthetic of "G Club Live" was a particular highlight, while the tough electro-bass of "Body Control" has a wicked groove that's more than capable of getting some heads-down moments on the dancefloor.

Matt Edwards and multifaceted artist Patrick Mason team up as SRVD with debut release entitled 'ELEVATE' dropping on Rekids this August. Whether as Radio Slave or his various other monikers, Matt Edwards is one of electronic music's most consistent and innovative artists. Ever since his early reinterpretations of Kylie Minogue and New Order, Edwards has continually commanded respect as a producer and in-demand remixer, whilst as a label owner his Rekids imprint is undoubtedly one of house and techno's most influential platforms.
Meanwhile, Patrick Mason continues to conquer the fashion world; a devout club kid and gifted creative turning heads as an outstanding art director, illustrator and model, whose extensive artistic talents include a unique and compelling voice destined for dancefloors.SRVD's story begins when the pair met in Panorama Bar, which soon led to Edwards and Mason hanging out at the studio and later evolved into improvised performances in Berlin's club scene and beyond. 'ELEVATE' perfectly captures the raw spirit and vibe of their live show, with whispering vocals ushering in precision kicks and piercing stabs until Mason's mesmerising voice comes fully into play.An homage to the New York vogue scene and a huge hit at Panorama Bar - where the pair have set the house on fire with three unannounced shows so far this year - 'NASTY' is a syncopated, bass-driven monster of a cut complete with infectious claps and metallic effects.

In October 2016, Android Muziq dropped the 'Thea EP' by well respected Porto artist, Steve Parker. As the track titles might suggest, it was a journey into deep space exploring outer galaxies, and searching for the unknown. Today, Steve Parker is joined by four more artists who share his forward thinking vision. Android's 15th wax installment sees Damon Wild, Hironori Takahashi, Dorian Gray and Alderaan journey to the outer limits. This is Thea/Rhea Remixes.

She was the personification of memory, daughter of Gaia and Uranus, wife of Zeus and the mother of the muses, goddesses of the arts.
Also this time an excellent collaboration with an artist for whom I have great esteem "Tony Scott aka Edit Select". Because of the magic of art that unites the whole world, I have had the pleasure of getting to know him personally during an amazing gig in Paris in which we began to design a collaboration on some tracks. After our first collaboration "Survivors Of The Pulse" released on Edit Select's Prologue Music LP "Phlox" we decided to continue with another E.P. of three sick tracks that I have given the names of three muses according to my personal imagination.
"Terpsichore" - To the he Goddess of Dance I'd offer this track with its controversial rhythm and detailed sensual overtones.
"Euterpe" - Goddess of Music and in our case seen in terms of "techno music", a mix of pure energy and imagination and this track I believe has these two features. Deep, straight and hypnotic.
"Urania" - This track I would like to dedicate to the Goddess of Astronomy, fluctuating, harmonious and... buon viaggio.

Following 2017's 'Path of Ruin', DJ Richard returns to Dial with his much-anticipated sophomore LP, 'Dies Iræ Xerox'. Undoubtedly one of the most distinctive and fully-formed electronic producers in recent memory, DJ Richard imprinted the sound of a bubbling US underground with his label, White Material, founded in 2012 alongside Young Male. His first solo LP for Dial, 2015's 'Grind', found DJ Richard delicately establishing a discipline between his East Coast noise heritage and a physical, emotive tradition of house music, mastered during an extended stay in Berlin. Now firmly settled once more in his hometown of Providence, 'Dies Iræ Xerox' is a personal and uncompromising journey that finds the Rhode Island native in reflective form, journeying without compromise into both his creative influences and personal psyche. In part adapting its title from the Latin hymn 'Dies irae', otherwise known as 'Day of Wrath', 'Dies Iræ Xerox' melds the physical and psychological aspects of DJ Richard's production ethos in sharper, more widescreen vision than before; the oceanic swells of ambience yet more powerful, and the rigid basslines sharper still. With the chaos of the Berlin club scene an increasingly distant memory, the album is enriched with a contemplative, even brittle tone, as informed by film soundtracks and literature as the pulse of city living. Still, this is new material from DJ Richard, a touring DJ as distinctive as any other to be found behind the decks at some of the world's finest clubs and festivals. On 'Dies Iræ Xerox', the artist finds the space to write 'the records I really want to play', and each suggests a template for genuine dancefloor transcendence, beginning with the electrifying 'Vanguard' . The sludgy yet sophisticated crawl of 'Tunnel Stalker' sets the tone for the menacing yet somehow melancholy EBM of 'In Broad Daylight', while the record draws to a breathless close with the affecting, drum machine lethargy of 'Gate of Roses'. Drawing little distinction between his more physically rousing material and searching soundscapes, 'Dies Iræ Xerox' instead finds a passage of catharsis throughout both. 'Dissolving World', the album's breathtaking centerpiece, is a choral feature hypnotically overwhelmed by walls of electronic feedback, forging a dramatic link between old ways and new. On the bold and near-beatless 'Ancestral Helm' and 'Final Mercy', DJ Richard seems to grant both music and raw emotion the ability to simply float in the air, brilliantly, poignantly unresolved. If 'Grind,' inspired by the weathered coastlines of Rhode Island, was a record concerning "the border between civilization and the ocean," then 'Dies Iræ Xerox' is an unapologetic follow-up concerning that between macabre obsessions and fear of death. Produced during a murky, transitional period, DJ Richard found himself particularly drawn to Medieval European art and mysticism, fascinated by depictions and philosophies of the antichrist and end-times. Greatly influencing the uncompromising, apocalyptic tone of the album, these investigations have created an engaging and personal vision of the 'Day of Wrath.'

"Anthemusa EP", made in collaboration with another "nobody" who has been enchanting me with his xtraordinary music since many years; with him I shared technical and musical growth. Gianluca Meloni was born and is actually living in Rome; with him I was forming the duo Modern Heads and considering it's 15 years we are working together I can with no doubt assert that together we have been creating the style that today is what I call mine, what I call the "Outis" style. 4 years ago I have been moving to Berlin and the thing I miss the most is playing music with him. Into "Anthemusa ep" we merged once again our musical ideas, but this time with two soloist proposal, leaving space to our emotions and our own way to make Techno. I hope you'll enjoy.

The Olympos series paused briefly, but now makes a welcome return thanks to the efforts of Hermes, the messenger of the gods. Whether he produced the tracks himself or they were ghostwritten is unclear, but they're a fantastic addition to the Greek mythology-focused minimal electronica label. "Astraia" is a twinkling delight of mournful deep techno, while "Eidolon" heads into introspective minimal electro territory with some seriously crafty beat programming. "Stasis" meanwhile strikes a warm, laid back note that harks back to early UK techno - might the track title be a tribute The record closes out on "Phone," a grainy, sullen jam with some crunchy broken beats and plenty of needlepoint sound design going on.

Strong follow up four track EP by Johnny Island on new Berlin-based techno label SMARAGD!

Matt Edwards' reissue label R-Time Records presents 'After Dark' this September with three tracks from Mark The 909 King.

Following reissues of excellent music by Sir Lord Commix, FBK and Sanasol (Thor & Yagya), Rekids offshoot R-Time Records now presents definitive cuts from Mark The 909 King. Debuting with the timeless 'Can You Dig It!' on Sex Trax in '94, the producer went on to release via a number of New York house legend DJ Duke's labels throughout the mid-nineties. A huge fan of DJ Duke since the 90s, Matt Edwards even held a Sex Mania night at Berghain in 2009 featuring a rare DJ performance from the Duke himself.

Alongside tracks by Roy Davis JR and Trackman (Jon Cutler), 'After Dark' featured as part of a VA release on the label DJ Exclusive, whilst 'Into Space' landed on Rated X Records, and 'The Loft' appeared on the 'Can You Dig It' album via Power Music Records.

'After Dark' set the tone of the package with a piercing drum groove, airy arpeggios and a funky bassline, before cosmic synths and crunchy snares work alongside scintillating chords in 'Into Space.' Concluding the package, 'The Loft' begins with a hooky bass sequence and filtered effects before soothing melodies come into play.

For its first Ltd. series release, Eliptic welcomes Mihigh with his debut solo EP, packed with two original tracks. A complete artist who makes a distinctive mark on the obscure and nonconformist sounds.
Feint of Heart is a deep and atmospheric slow burner. Drim' has a wonderful hypnotic quality to it which heads down the minimal route to deadly effect.
On the flip, we have the sublime "Silence" hypnotizing you into submission on this minimal composition full of whirling voices and stripped drums awash in deep trails.

Part 2 of Rommek's 'Set in Stone Trilogy' for Blueprint which takes things deeper than the previous 'Igneous', although still offering plenty of atmosphere and intensity. Industrial soundscapes, evolving menacing bass tones while the tension of strings captures and keeps a grip on the listeners attention throughout this 2nd series of the trilogy.

From behind a wall of public discourse, focus groups and corporate memos, Strahinja Arbutina moves out onto the streets, with four cuts of Croatian electronics pulled from man hunt techno, hood funk and industrial waves.

Some try it with mouth-to-mouth insufflation and cardiac massage. Others with
psychopharmaceuticals or group therapy. Still others with divorce. By going cold turkey. With a new profile pic and a matching hairstyle. Seen it all at Robert Johnson, already endorsed everything - at least as long as it helps: as a lifesaving measure.
But since the year dot, the Offenbach-based club with its affiliated label recommends to all which are undecided or have doubts particularly one thing: Music. And dance.
Every two years, when life newly blossoms during spring, Live At Robert Johnson opens its windows widely, lets new music out and fresh air into the house. The beguiling scent of nature and aviation fuel blends with the scent of sweat and dry ice fog - and causes sundry healing confusion. A year after his extremely versatile debut EP for Figure, Viers comes out with another batch of tunes that again set him apart from his peers both in production value and creativeness. Touching on the tropes of classic detroit techno, Saxton presents a beautifully delicate opening track, rife with life from within the machines while still steadily thumping ahead. It's the mix of this vital momentum together with a certain restraint, allowing each element to breath. So much that even the slightest adjuments cause maximum effectmetro, as felt on suitably titled stomper 'Nothing Changed' where everything hits in exactly the right place. Same goes for the incessant dialogue of tones on 'Zehn", which Sigha expands into a pensive piece, layering soothing washes of synths. Not only an exceptional EP in its own right, Figure 85 further cements Viers as a skilled craftsman with seemingly endless imagination.

Cititrax release Cherskogo Drive, a full length LP of 6 tracks from one of Moscow's leading underground electronic artists, Pavel Milyakov aka Buttechno. He may not need any introduction to some but to those not in the know, he's a unique, relatively new yet prolific musical artist who uses a vast range of instrumentation to create his sound. His music captures the listener in the most thoughtful, precise way.

Milyakov makes spacious, dystopian, and wonky reflections on techno that mirror the expansive barrenness and desolation of his high rise-dominated environs. Despite keeping a relatively low profile, Buttechno still manages to attract significant positive attention, whether providing 'spastic electronics and fireball ballistics' in one of the local Boiler Room event or creating soundtracks for European fashion shows. He has close ties to the area's design and fashion scenes, and his own artwork fleshes out a singular aesthetic.

The 6 tracks on this LP range from driving electro to 90s techno to slower paced, dirty, perfectly pitched 808 sounds. The LP is pressed on 160 gram black vinyl with the first 200 copies presented on grey vinyl, all housed in a heavy printed high gloss sleeve, lined in black with black paper inner sleeves.

British born, Berlin based singer songwriter, Cameron James Laing steps up for an outing on Suara. The original, 'Her', is an emotive and enchanting mixture of soulful vocals, acoustic guitars and swelling strings, beautifully produced and expertly executed.
Roman Poncet then flips the original into a bumping, breaksy, glitched out roller, twisting and manipulating Cameron's vocals to add a further dimension to the mix.On the B side Prins Thomas brings his trademark Scandanavian touch to 'Her' edging the tempo up and anchoring the song to a dynamic bass, alongside echoing out elements of the guitar and strings to create a version that wouldn't be out of place on the Balaeric Islands.
Closing out the e.p. Peter Pardeike takes you back to the club, placing a rhythmic arp and weighty stabs behind a pounding kick and crisp hats, to provide a big room version of Cameron's original.

Expedition 1 is the first cut: a tight drum kit and sub bass frequencies come along resonant sweeps and subtle drones in a non break arrangement that automatically leads to hypnosis.

The Exium duo takes over Expedition 1, reforming the frequencies, working wisely with drones and atmospheres preserving the pulsating feel below. extracting the mental spirit of the track in a continuously evolving structure.

Mighty Envy is an unforgiving piece of arp centred electro, pushing the envelope without letting go of the gas pedal. Pulsating bells along the way signal you onto the cosmic runway, there is no space left except to surrender. Haunted By My Past accelerates to even further places. Inspired by EBM it's a funky dance floor workout in which a sexy AI tells you everything about you you've never wanted to know. The great digital escape, you're trying to make way to the reboot button but finally find out the damn thing doesn't exist.

In Transmitting Illicit Logic we first encounter an older AI model which got stuck in one of its own created habits and as a consequence is only left spitting out deranging synth arpeggio's. After we pass him we find a doorway to a hidden bar... the rest is history. Grand Theft Auto meets stripped back robot moves. Finally, we have Silicon Scally remixing Transmitting Illicit Logic, warping you to an even tougher and weirder dimension.

Who says that there is no techno in bavaria Not only the bavarian based label itself as a kind of lighthouse for the more energetic sounds deep in the bavarian heart is a proof, also the young and crazy Dirty Basscore is emerging from there with his very own, unique, freaked out, crazy, uncomprimising style. Compared to his outlets so far this one might not be the craziest and freaked out stuff he did, but for sure this is a massive debut and introduction of his trademark and unlimited talent here on Credo. Perfectly timed and playable tunes with only one goal: working on the dancefloor! And as this wouldn`t be enough we even top it with an excellent repaint by another bavarian techno-stallion. Klaudia Gawlas, who probably doesn`t need any introduction, delivered a superb interpretation of the titletrack.

The EBM-indebted techno funk of James Welsh's 'Thread' reemerges from the industrial fog, evolved into three outstanding remixes by a trio of established, emerging and somewhat unexpected artists.

Ozel AB delivers his debut remix, reimagining Thread to encompass a widescreen vision of depth and drama. Unfolding slowly and ethereally, with military kicks holding down a seemingly weightless, extended breakdown, his taste in dreamlike rave euphoria contains the same magic touch as it has done on previous, acclaimed releases for Workshop and Lobster Theremin.

On his 'Garten' remix, Radio Slave takes a percussive approach to the relatively raw electronics of the original track, adding a deceptively simple but immediately effective layer of drums to the production, before unleashing a more filtered and fucked-up interpretation of the riff to winning effect.

Finally, FC Kahuna may have been off-the-map for some time, but return here with a distinctive, playful and digital-exclusive take on Thread. Adding intriguing tension, whistling rave kettles and even a sense of the whimsical and the exotic to the original production, surprisingly silky flutes occasionally mingle with Welsh's initial acidic aesthetic.

Scuba drops another four cuts as SCB on Hotflush Recordings this December.
Paul Rose first launched his SCB moniker in 2010, going on to appear on labels like Ostgut Ton, Aus Music and Nonplus until 2014. This year saw the pioneering British producer revisit his darker alias with a dystopian themed release on Hotflush - he now returns with four more twisted and ominous productions.

The Anticipatory Organization is an energetic EP that could only be the work of The Sun God. There are three rousing tracks to stir the attention. The Things We Don't Know is a mesmerising key driven journey. It features gorgeous keyed sparkles, washing waves of acid and clopped beats. The Disbelief Habit is driven by a strong melody that really grabs you and won't let go. This is accompanied by a strong bassline, focused keys and closely held percussion. The Achievement Factory rounds off the EP with another distinctive musical effort that marches straight into the middle of the dancefloor. Punishing percussion and an in-step cavernous bassline are joined by loose acid and riffing keys. Once more, The Sun God delivers as only he can.

The 'Law of Seven' refers to the spiritualist philosopher Gurdjieff's idea that the evolution of phenomena proceeds according to a universal seven-step process. Clay tells us that while this idea did not strictly factor into the composition of these tracks, 'you could abstract some elements into the musical creation process. Gurdjieff was quite a thinker, but also composed music so I thought the lines I was drawing carried some weight... in particular his notion that 'Creation proceeds through increasing restrictions' which I find to be incredibly relevant to my process at least. Time limitations and performance settings particularly seem to allow me to be far more productive than just working freely with no solid end point in mind.'

Crotocosm is an occasional collaboration between Jordan GCZ (Lushlyfe, Off Minor) and Willie Burns (Black Deer, WT Records). Tracks were recorded together live in Amsterdam and Brooklyn between 1996 and 2017.. it's a TIP !

In spring of 2012 Niederflur will add their latest statement to contemporary electronic music with another classic

Niederflur have always been doing: riding their own wave and bending genre-sounds as far as possible. On this

Kirill Matveev and Brickman link energies on behalf of a powerful weapon for Russian based label: MixCult Records.

The EP leads with an enchanting dub inclined cut entitled Vice Man' which narrates a story of a dub marching techno soldier from the cold camps of Russia. The mood of this fine crafted art form places the listener in a victorious state of mind. As second, we find an experimentation of gender edges that form a medley of attenuating and danceable cuts called Milk Escape'. As the track progresses, we find the dub entrancing reverberations growing and flourishing into an impenetrable realm of splendor, making this one of MixCult's true favorite refrains. The EP comes to an end with Brickman's Multiverse' which amalgamates into an enchanting dualism between peak time breakdown and beginning of afterhours sound. Multiverse comes down as the equinox and as the romantic blanket of this expertly assembled release.

* Kontrapoetik is a very personal and simultaneously historical investigation, tackling the deceivingly serene, yet turmoiled past of composer Maria W Horn's home region Ångermanland in the North of Sweden, and her own counter-exorcism project thereof. Drawing from archival material in the region she taps directly into the conflict of this bastion for the worker's movement with the Swedish military in the 1930's that left 5 dead and nearly triggered a revolution. Even before that it was the site of Sweden's largest documented execution of women accused of witchcraft in 1674 in the form of burnings and decapitations. Constituting two thirds of Sweden's total area, Norrland is sometimes referred to as "the colonies" because of the uneven distribution of the wealth generated by the natural resources of northern Sweden, a small portion of which is reinvested in the area. Since the 1970's it has seen increasing depopulation and disintegration of the welfare state. The piece 'Ångermanländska Bilder' is based on material from a collection of Super-8 films that depicts the environment of Ångermanland from 1930-1940; the manor houses of the rural community, the steamboats transporting timber along the river that runs through the landscape, the power plants and sawmills.

* Concurrent with Horn's Ångermanland research, she was part of an artistic research project in the form of a satanic feminist sect. The goal of the work within the sect was to develop a practice consisting of ceremonies and rituals based on counter readings of the Christian genesis narratives, dismantling its misogynist traditions. In these counter-myths, Lucifer is re-conceptualized as a feminist liberator of womankind, and is seen as an ally in the struggle against a patriarchy supported by God the father and the male priesthood. The ingestion of the forbidden fruit by Eve becomes a heroic act of rebellion against the tyranny of God and Adam. Several of the pieces on Kontrapoetik were composed specifically for ceremonial practices, as in the case of 'Ave', which is a composition built from a text by Michelle Jangmyr, one of the sect members.

* Field recordings sourced from the archives of The Härnösand Art Museum thread through magnetic tape, formatting stark portraits of Horn's attested narrative. Harmonically inspiration is drawn from ancient Swedish pastoral music, minor scales and free contrapuntal progressions. A vinyl LP 'Locklåtar Och Musik På Horn Och Pipa' with a collection of recordings released by the Swedish radio in 1966 was uncovered from the archive and sampled, re-synthesized, and reinterpreted. The fusion of these sonic documents with the mellotron, church organ and Buchla 200 synthesizer creates an immersive music that welcomes other forms of listening, unhinged from the cerebral and guided by intuition.

* The musical territories explored by Horn on Kontrapoetik are vast, but at the heart of each piece is a strong fundament of reductionist technique no matter how maximal the results may sound. Deceptively simple harmonic progressions are refractured through the means of inversion and repetition, presented either in a pure state or being crushed and deformed by layers of distortion. Coupled with this is an almost tactile relationship to texture as well as an immaculate sense of the physicality of sound. This work, while saturated by an almost overbearing sense of longing and loss, never gives in, but stands steadfastly defiant.

Berlin-based producer SDX drops an album entitled 'Nocturnal' on Sophia Saze's Dusk & Haze featuring remixes from TXTRL founders 138 and Shipwrec producer SC-164.



Georgia-born, Brooklyn-based Sophia Saze set up Dusk & Haze to release 'genre-free' experimental music, exhibited in the label's debut release entitled 'Solace' EP featuring four versatile cuts from Sophia herself and twisted electro and techno remixes from Umwelt and Benjamin Damage. The second release comes
from the enigmatic SDX, a masked artist who's fiercely championed left-of-centre dance music for decades. Crunchy drums and a thumping bassline kick things off in 'MS 04' before Los Angeles duo 138 provide an outstanding remix incorporating a cacophony of raw breaks. Modulated flutters, warped blips and white
noise create 'MS 08', leading into the organic drums and off-kilter arpeggios of '007' until New York's SC- 164 reworks '007' delivering a pulsating sub and distorted vocal chops.

Arla III, like the previous two records in the series, is a culmination of our combined influences. A representation of our memories - both real and false, of UK rave culture. Peter Fonda is a New York based producer, DJ and promoter most notably known for his Drum Machine Circle and Keep Away From Children parties on his home turf amongst a track on a Lives Through Magic double cassette compilation alongside Daphni, JD Twitch, Pantha Du Prince and Patricia. Here we see him make his debut on New York's Parka following on from the first two EP's courtesy of Abu Ashley and Milo McBride.

Roman Lindau is back and in true Lindau fashion delivers three groove heavy, red hot tunes ready for full on dance floor destruction with his 'Acid Bells' EP. The title track 'Acid Bells' fires off with agile percussion before quickly adding an infectious melody and vocal snaps brimming with attitude before finally unleashing a timeless acid hook which solidifies all the elements into a massive, peak time occasion. The Burrell Connection is somewhat a resident with Craigie Knowes; he lived in the same flat in Glasgow with label boss Max when he started the label in 2015, he featured on the first release, he contributed to second fundraiser album, he's also played half of the parties at their Glasgow home, La Cheetah Club, and travelled with the Craigie Knowes DJ team to wow crowds around Europe. But enough of the history, this is now - The Burrell Connection's debut EP with the imprint, Hyper/Orbit. Hyperactive techno and breaks blended together, emotive pads, 808 basslines and that ever-creative and homage-paying sampling ability that The Burrell Connection's noble followers have come to love. With a common language of abstract, modular techno Donato Dozzy and Peter van Hoesen are no strangers to each other's music or studios. 'Storta' has that psychedelic tribal aesthetic that has come to define their most recent live-hybrid performances. Dutch producer Deniro has garnered a more cult-like reputation for his spacey, progressive jams one that has earned him the admiration of Nina Kraviz who recently released his new EP Mendoza on her Trip label. Returning to Dekmantel, Deniro drives a soulful, journey to an intergalactic world that was shaped by the Gods of Detroit - smooth sauce, that Derrick May would surely approve of. Talismann, aka. Guy Blanken, aka. Makam, is the much travelled Dutch producer with a specialty for hypnotic drones, and apocalyptic rhythms. With a much beloved self-titled imprint distributed through Clone, Talismann makes his first foray onto the Dekmantel imprint with 'Aciano', a haunting series of raw acid, and prophetic beats. 'Sexual Frustration' by Matrixxman, is a continuation of the American producer's ever-growing relationship with Dekmantel. With three excellent EPs already released with the Dutch imprint Nubian Metropolis, Sector I: Rhythm, and Sector II: Acid- the latest endeavour by Charles Duff highlights his analogue dexterity, when a soft-pallette of vibrant, almost electro-like sounds.

After throwing their first ever party in the Dutch capital a decade ago, Dekmantel have come to establish themselves in underground music. 2017 saw Dekmantel launch a new festival in Brazil, adding to their Dutch outing in, as well as their Croatian jaunt, Selectors. Going from strength to strength, the label kicked off their, ten-part EP series in March. With one EP released every month, the series has been embracing all the musical varieties Dekmantel has come to represent. Featuring label favourites, along with a whole bunch of new faces, iconic artists, and select debuts, the 10-year series is an, collection of timeless music that embraces everything they’ve done to date, while setting a precedent for things to come.

Yuri Shulgin is a multi-instrumentalist music producer from Tajikistan. His discography includes a small number of releases from the Greek label Modernista and the French Escapade Recordings. Animal Planet is his contribution on Cocktail d'Amore Music. This EP is a live-recorded masterpiece that will lift dance floors into heavenly heights. A1 takes the record title. It's an acid based, genre-blurring piece of music, enveloping and disorienting at the same time. Infinite strings melt together to a constant build up, reminiscent of Steve Reich - Double Sextet/2x5.
Boogie Space feels like the continuation of the previous track, evoking a cloud of glitter in absence of gravity.
Walking starts off the B side. Its funk future jazz-influenced groove is supported by an organic, as bouncy as timeless bassline. While the stripped down Dubby Body goes to deep realms, the outro Recordtake closes this surreal EP.
