The second release of Inkblots involves three great artists deeply active into the international techno scene: the japanese Go Hiyama and the Berlin based duo I/Y.
On Side A, Go Hiyama's first track 'Recur' delivers sinister atmospheres matched with a tough kick and industrial bleepy elements. Slow and paranoic drones get in and out contributing to enlarge the sound perception. The second track 'Prop' introduces elegant hi-hats and strident synths. A captivating kick perfectly embraces the shrill synths waving together with the sharp drum, what remains of the first side is just tense ambients, forewarning the journey is not over. Side B smells like a dark club firing up, indeed I/Y's aim is not different at all. 'Tethys
0000.001' debuts with a thin bassline and distorted grave surroundings. The track evolves with clean slap hats sound in an empty echo chamber. Deep timbres rise and fall, turning the entire route gently aggressive. The second track is an IDM experiment which keeps a trippy approach and the clarity of claps and hi-hats.
Solid as the first one, 'Tethys 0000.003' sets itself as an hypnotic but pleasant moment where suspicious fragments quickly appear and disappear: a sparkled trip to be enjoyed anytime but not by anyone. 

Debut record from Group Zero (Cathal Cully - Girls Names). Using synthesizers and drum machines, 'Structures And Lights' glistens with subtle Euro sophistication - pairing cold-wave optimism alongside freaky and brutal tracks for the more open-minded DJs and dancefloors. Written, recorded and mixed intermittently over four years, the narrative of 'Structures And Light' is bound by a deepening connection with electronics, instrumentation, and the studio. With no imminent touring schedule or release deadlines, Cully built a modest home setup and began producing on his own again - It was as an exercise in my own development and it was fun. It brought the naivety and spontaneity back to making music'. Initially, it was for his personal consumption alone - selfishly indulgent. In fact, this first collection of Group Zero music - along with a library of other ideas and sketches - was thought to be eternally lost and all but forgotten until a chance conversation with Touch Sensitive led to the tracks being salvaged and subsequently restored. The genesis of this newly discovered musical freedom coincided with a viewing of 'Pyramid of Light' by Heinz Mack from the post-war Dusseldorf based Group Zero art movement which resonated deeply. It stirred up questions and emotions which I could not get from a book or a screen. It was the direct relation between me, the light and the physical object hanging on the wall. New moments of beauty locked in the memory. I was in awe.' Cully was also taking influence from a range of contemporary electronic producers - on labels such as LIES, Diagonal, Optimo Music, Blackest Ever Black, and PAN: These records felt as much in keeping with post-punk traditions and my own DIY background whilst tapping into the primitive ideas of masters such as Cluster, Suicide, Malaria! and the proto-techno of pre-club music.' Just as a structure obscures or reflects light furnishing us with new ways of seeing, the propulsive rhythms in 'Structures And Light' reveal subtle differences on each repeated cycle. This is music to go away from and travel to. Here's a record from a Belfast bedroom that sounds nothing like the city, past or present. It's made with synths and drum machines, and it glistens with subtle Euro sophistication. Day breaks: dig those fast linear movements and rhythms ('The Fantasist'). Then fall for the unexpected guitar line in 'Pursuit', a gentle kind of cold wave optimism. Night heals: there's 'pummelling repetition' here too, for the club freaks or shut-ins. Slow, industrial shocks that give way to 'Pyramid of Light's stark new-age burst. It's a record for the present - full of gorgeous themes that dream unwired.'

Bionic life in a static system' reflect Mattia's feeling about this matter of fact. Human will soon tend to be machined: automatically, resuming their feeling to a simple emoticon. Mattia is giving us his vision of this near future with these 4 tracks, proposing us some atmospheric and melodic pads and robotic electro rhythms added to the finest futuristic acid lines.

Polyop was formed in 2015 by producers Jack Driscoll, Harry Orso and visual artist and programmer Alex Kempton. Since then they have been researching and developing a visual-audio experience that fuses nature and tribal culture with the machine. 'Ceremony' is the first exploration of that aesthetic, with their own take on acid house, they take the subject on a hypnotic journey through an alternate sonic-visual reality.

Kemp mutates 'Ceremony' into something between disco and techno, the kick and bassline thick and pulsing, whilst the percussion syncopates infectiously. The track progresses into a crescendo, which is amplified by the cavernous feel of the mix. This is certain to hypnotise 3am dancefloor-pagans into a state of worship.

New Year = new R Zone. This time the revivalist rave crew, brutal techno lovers and broken beat brothers--whoever they may be--serve up three more tantalising tracks that are designed simply for high dance floor impact. 'Greatest Enemy' is first and lives in a deep space world where jungliest percussion and pummelling drums are offset with swirling pads and warm synths. It's an emotional roller coaster that gets followed up by 'Spike', a manic and prickly speaker blaster with wild melodies and rave stylings all barely continued by punch and off beat kick drums. Last of all, 'Faramore Agent' is in your face with its frazzled bass, skittish percussion and vocal stabs all panning about left and right. One again this is brilliantly all over the place and impossibly visceral music designed to devastate all who hear it.

We have started a new project from a new part of Finish Team Records only on vinyl. For the first release we have made a 4 track E.P. with the main artists of the label: Manu P, Andrea Rubolini, Aumrec & Gabriele Orsini. First track is composed by Manu P, and is named El Torito. Is the perfect track for the summer time, with a latin tech house with a huge bass and melodic voice, perfect for the middle of the night set. The second is a track by Andrea Rubolini (The Crowd), also here a huge bass during all the track and a melodic synth that characterized the track. The third track by Aumrec (Elonove), is more techno, with lot of strange and secret minimal part and a solid and fresh kick. Gabriele Orsini also composed the fourth track (The Suspect), a techno and intense travel trough the dark techno scene. VINYL ONLY!

Back at the beginning of the summer, Dubfire unveiled "Exit," his magical collaboration with Miss Kittin. The powerful and sultry vocal cut immediately garnered anthem status, heralding a perfect balance between the techno stalwarts' precise, funky rhythms and Kittin's unique, robotic vocal delivery. Support was across the full breadth of the DJ spectrum, also featuring in Resident Advisor's Monthly Top 50 charts. 

A special synergy and chemistry was born between the two that demanded to be further explored when new remixes by the French dream team of Brodinski and long-time Kittin collaborator The Hacker materialized. 

The Hacker ensures carnage with his huge pile-driving synth riff, whilst Bromance boss Brodinski goes straight for the jugular with a crushing kick drum and impressive vocal trickery.

Polluted System is a track suitable for the main room, the energy of the kick and the bass leave no respite from start to finish as a joint of metal percussion and synths fit gradually to fill the sound spectrum of this track.

Becomes Human Machine in a few minutes, using acid and industrial sounds, conveys the idea of the change that is happening around us: people are becoming more and more machines, and this is the soundtrack of the mutation.

Unlocked Human, while remaining in acid and mechanical territories, thanks to a groove of more organic toms and hi hat still let the human element glimpse, not yet deleted by the machines, all accompanied by a relentless kick which makes it a perfect tool from the dancefloor .

No System, which give the title to the EP, ends this sequence with dreamy and futuristic atmospheres, the ruling part is still a simple but instantly recognizable acid bass, over breakbeat-oriented rhythmics.

Downfall Theory embarks on a new chapter as it hosts a full release from a producer other than its owner, Sanys. Myztical isn't exactly a newcomer though, and the Ukrainian producer has already two releases to his credit on Nicz Records. Given the title of his debut on Downfall Theory, it is no surprise to learn that Myztical is using it as a means to question reality. Inspired by the science fiction writer Philip K Dick and decades of electronic music, he certainly succeeds on venturing into uncharted territories on the title track. Muffled, repetitive vocal samples, an atonal rhythm and relentless, slightly distorted kicks show that quite often, simplicity is the most potent ingredient. On Faith of our Fathers', Myztical disappears farther down the wormhole. Splintered rhythms, deranged howls and a deranged filter push his vision for broken beat techno into the abyss. Substance D' sees the Ukrainian hotshot return to a more linear approach, pounding kicks underpin ghostly shrieks before a breakdown sees the track descend into grimy, Woody McBride-style acid. The accompanying vocal sample, the embodiment of a bad trip, only serves to accentuate the track's darkly hallucinogenic qualities. Finally, there's Shifted Realities' - it revisits the jagged filters of Faith of our Fathers', but does so against the backdrop of a pounding industrial kick and a grungy, low-slung rhythm.

"Beyond the Clouds" was recorded from a live session near the heart of Detroit using hand crafted modular synthesizers, analog devices and custom made effects units. It's spacious and airy and the intriguing melodic patterns really keep your head as busy as your heel whilst the loopy beats roll below. 'Funcy' is a little more rubbery and direct, with clacking perc, freewheeling synth lines and bubbly drums that never stay locked in one place, roaming around and taking you with them. Lastly, 'Funatics' has a sombre minor chord bassline that rides up and down the scale as crisp, clean hi hats dance alongside. Bouncy and jostling, energetic and restless, it's a track that perfectly rounds out this debut EP and shows that Barem and Cabrera are true to their world and really do know how to produce some fun techno funk.

Expect to be confronted with a bit of a surprise here when you listen to the a-side of the brand-new Max Cooper on Traum.Max has never plaid around with arpeggiators in this way jet and also the "togetherness" of the soundscape is not very typical for him. But let us say this much, this track is a big track in his live sets, very much a crowd pleaser and when the bassline kicks in at 4 minutes it gets all cosmic and a massive collective feel is installed.The track is a repetitive one and the rushing of the hi-energy powered sequencer gives a nice contrast to the later added strings which add a superb  melancholic Detroit feel.We expect this track to do nice in clubs.

XCPT Music rises from underground electronic music event series taking place in the suburbs of Matera, South Italy, as mature development deeply rooted and inspired by the UK 90's scene. It kicks off with label's manager and co-owner Nothus first release, 'Fragments Of Loneliness', a 12" limited press coming out in the end of September. His first release illustrates a mixture of breaking beats, jungle vibes and Detroit soul textures, coexisting in balance in all the tracks with a special broken beat reshape made by Italian artist Andrea (Ilian Tape), one of the most interesting newcomer of European techno scene. Label artworks represent specific corners of the beautiful Matera city, recently rewarded as European Capital of Culture 2019, and cradle of the label sound.

The label Bond is the brainchild of Swedish techno DJ and producer Petter B. The concept of the label is "music by DJs for DJs". Through ten-year-experience, CRIME RECORDS is now coming to life in the Salento area (Italy). Mainly based on electronic and techno music, CRIME RECORDS is an indipendent, eco-friendly and strictly old-school label.

Unknown Archetype AKA Roxy Tripp & Oliver Kucera debut their visceral experimental techno for R&S on this three track EP

Unknown Archetype is a collaborative project between Roxy Tripp, a British conceptual artist & music producer, and Oliver Kucera a Czech born Producer & Live performer, residing in the Netherlands. With an extensive background of solo projects in the underground scene, the duo began their collaboration together as Unknown Archetype in 2015.

The TRIPP EP is an abrasive, visceral EP of electronic body music underpinned by themes of Jungian psychology, symbolism and mythology. The industrial tech funk of lead track Voyeurism kicks things off - skittering breakbeats, squalling filters and blistering snares pile-driving the listener into ecstatic submission, while 'Tripp' see the duo employing sizzling bursts of white noise and caustic percussion over a jagged rhythm box figure. Matters are pared right back for the rigid austerity of closer 'The Serpent' - the dubbed out lead stab quivers over a strobing 909 drum groove and scything cymbals.

Effortlessly balancing deep late night sounds with a unique character and intricate headphone centric programming, the TRIPP EP is a fitting and welcome addition to R&S's storied catalogue.

Among Downwards' most recent wave of new flesh, Grebenstein emerged as one of the legendary label's most sullen mutants on a crushing, eponymous debut in 2014, and now
again with this highly stylish, unrepentant brace of drum 'n synth noise pressure. This one's a total killer, especially recommended if you're into HTRK, Raime or Fever Ray.
Depending what angle you survey it from, Strong Proud Stupid and Superior is either industrial techno trained by drill kids, neofolk drone, or the sound of machines coming to kill their human oppressors.
On the A-side Grebenstein harnesses the hollow-eyed, starkly detached vocals of Seefried in a signature, slow demonstration of detached Cold Wave, with a narrative arc that
encompasses intimate confession and paranoid internal impulses sounding something like like a petrified version of HTRK via Andrea Parker's classic Ballbreaker material.
The other two parts feature Joscha Bauer and are texturally more rich and aestehtically subdued, starting with the swelling drone discord of Grauer03, sounding like Cut Hands slowed down by 1000%, before inverting the aesthetic to a far more impending sort of stygian doom with the squashed bombast trudge of Grauer04.

Mindcut presents the next solo ep by no less than Kamikaze Space Programme who had his first label debut with Rattle Ralf' on catalog number 4. KSP also released on the famous Luke Slater Label Mote Evolver and now he returns with a full 4 tracker on Mindcut. His style is well known for rhythmic beats and organic percussions sounds which are reflected in 3 true techno tracks and a stomping Myler remix.

Next up on Swiss imprint, Caduceus Records, is a release veiled in secrecy and hidden behind a mask of obscurity. Whilst the
producer behind the tracks remains in the backseat, the music sits at the forefront, with only itself to speak for.First track, 'Cracken,' is about as skewed and wonky as you can get without the vinyl flopping off the turntable and is sure to be a test for the less adventurous DJs out there. Not surprisingly, it has already received support on Ben UFO's Hessle show on Rinse FM (played by Welfare). A syncopated rhythm, off-kilter arrangement and stumbling samples throw this track off its hinges, with only the
pummelling kicks and an expansive, space-like padded-tapestry to glue it all together. Racket' plunges for a deeper, submerged dub-techno atmosphere that shimmers under its many layers as it grinds back and forth. Similarly, 'Touched By Light' keeps things buried in a fathoms-deep pool of atmosphere as mechanical vocal samples emerge and subside around the chugging rhythms and faltering percussive loops.The whole package is finished off perfectly with a remix from Canadian techno master, Basic Soul Unit, who throws 'Touched By Light' into more regulated form, ready for the floor, with solid grooves and a hardy techno backbone.
Weitone is a project that relies on its contrasts - a continual zigzag-ing between one and the other - in your face whilst hidden and restrained, cold and metallic but also warm and cinematic. Somewhere in this obscurity there is solace and something to be found.Seek and you shall find.

Storming into our fifth release from the dirty shores of New Jersey, Green Village is proud to present Village Elders 001, a compilation EP featuring new material from artists who have already flown the flag for GV. The A-side is held down by the Plan B duo of DJ Spider and Dakini9, purveyors of the Metro Area's dirtiest and deepest house sounds. Spider gets toxic a second time, following his 2013 Instruction drop with 'Toxic Trace 2', a thickly layered deep house cut whose seedy percussion underbelly contrasts vividly with the more traditional deep house pads that accompany it. Dakini9's 'Lost Paradise' is dark and mysterious like its title, the hats, trumpets, and vocals emerging in tangled webs of dub effects, a strong follow-up to her dope EP for the label. Disaroen, a duo from Toronto, half of which previously appeared on GV, turns in the most barren of the four tracks, 'Serious Doorman', heads-down techno that crackles to life halfway in and an auspicious debut for a promising new group. Last is NJ heavyweight Nicuri, a rising star whose 'Ripples of Time' closes the EP in his signature searching, melodic style.

For the fifth release Vanila goes Vanilla, this time with the debut ep from the Athenian artist Expropriation. "Expropriate While U Can" and "Poza Putana" are two long and slow trips, that perfectly fit in the current filthy mood of the greek capital.

Finally, this year they returns on their label with the first official track under new Ichinen monicker. The title-track, 'A Morning Without Glory', is indeed a unique melting pot of the different music approaches and visions. The track is determination at its purest form: a relentless 4/4 beat impulse, constantly striving and spaced out by industrial and metallic sounds that convey its deep and atmospheric imaginary. Truly abstract and experimental techno that goes beyond its ordinary stylistic logics. On the B-side one may find 'A Morning Without Glory' reviseted at this time in two evocative interpretation by the most renowed artist in the nowadays techno scene. The first one is by Dasha Rush with a 'Summer Light Remix', with a more serene and organic version of the original track. The last one is by Etapp Kyle who prefers to highlights low frequencies and dub inflections, adding a different touch to the astounding original tune: uniquely different.

Forged in the pitch black recesses of underground Berlin, long-time conspirators Sawlin & Subjected have been making bold, distinct and largely faceless techno from the cloisters of their Vault Series home. Now comes the first in a two-part EP for Electric Deluxe, titled 'Foreign Awake', a much broodier spacy homage than we've yet heard from the pair. Shying away from usual PR and biographies, Sawlin, Subjected and their third Vault Series member Mørbeck have been making names for themselves on the weight of their music alone. Raw, industrial hues, distortion and chest-caving basslines are some of the tropes that have coloured their anonymous ascension to date. While Sawlin has strayed a little from the Vault camp, Subjected has yet to release elsewhere. Until now. In April Subjected released his debut LP, 'Zero', which channeled his and the label's respected tough and concept-free aesthetic into a fully functioning full length. But for Electric Deluxe they've served up something all together different. Swapping their usual gung-ho floor artillery for swirling atmospheric vistas, subtle tones and cavernous empty spaces, 'Foreign Awake pt.1 sees Sawlin & Subjected paint chilling, post-apocalypse landscapes in three parts. Berlin is home to both Andrew Claristidge and Leonard De Leonard and these 2 amazing producers have joined forces to create a new side project away from their respective main duties with Acid Washed and Leonizer Records.

Lessismore (formerly Lessismorecordings) was launched 10 years ago, and has been on hold for a few years. At the time the transition from vinyl to digital didn't feel right and now that the vinyl market is coming up again the love and faith to release a beautiful product (vinyl with cool artwork) is back.This 10 year anniversary is a good reason to revive from hibernation state and to start sharing great music again. The first few releases from the relaunch will represent re-releases of the strongest EP's from the back catalogue with remixes by respected artists.

The Alexis Tyrel remix of Estroe's Taxotere has a palpable energy which comes from the masterful fusion of pounding kicks and luminous synth stabs that swell and bulge out through the mix like bright flashes of summer lightning.

The Advent remix of MBC's Zeitlupe starts with a galloping synth that builds in intensity. Just as one is lulled into a "false feel" of the track, the synth part transforms into the syncopated groove of the original version. The track fluctuates between both patterns periodically. With several intriguing modifications of the main sound throughout, and with a pacey aggression, this track is both fierce and deep.

Gideon also remixes Zeitlupe and in his version the intensity is increased a little more. The main groove is prevalent again which drives this remix. However, the real profound sections are where the beat breaks down and yields to the resonantly electrifying lead synth which consumes all in its path. Conspicuously powerful and driving.

Once more on remix duties, this time Gideon interprets Alexis Tyrel's H for Hustler. Rhythm and percussion based, it exemplifies Lessismore's ethic - it is both fundamental and bold. Strong and steady machine like beats push the track along relentlessly while industrial scrapes grind away on top. The "Hustler" sample is sporadically placed but is still used enough to give a hypnotic feel to its use.

The original version of H for Hustler by Alexis Tyrel focuses on the basic elements that are at the core of timeless dance classics. The captivating and hypnotizing beat powers its way throughout. The "Hustler" sample is used rhythmically to great effect while the perfectly aimed machine-gun snares find their mark and are perfectly positioned to hold attention and build atmosphere where needed.

New year - new music. The label Freakadelle starts the year 2017 with Superis EP' by Gerald Peklar - founder of the association Freakadelle. The EP is a sampler from the same-titled album, which was released on Reflex Recordings in 2016.
The tracks have been reworked particularly for the dance floor and feature precise shuffled grooves, driving basslines and a reduced but sufficient amount of sound elements. Only B1 (Superis5) is the odd one out, being a dreamy and spheric electronica track. Apart from that, the EP impresses with hypnotic loops and pressing arrangements without flourishes.

11th November sees dynamic duo Hiver return to cherished Belgium imprint, Curle Recordings, with their latest EP, entitled 'Soundescence'.

This excellent four-track offering is the Italian pairing's third EP on Curle, following on from 'Blue Aconite' in 2013 and 'Same Mistake Twice' last year, which garnered them support from techno heavyweights such as Sven Väth, Laurent Garnier and Efdemin.

Curle, who recently celebrated their 10th anniversary, have fast become one of the most exciting and respected underground labels in the game. Past releases by the likes of Hiver, as well as prolific DJ/producer, Matthew Herbert, whose timeless track 'See You On Monday' was recently reissued by them, has contributed towards this success.

Kicking off the release is the title-named track, 'Soundescence', displaying the melodic, psychedelic sound Hiver has been praised for previously. Delicate synth patterns perfectly bled with the understated drums and percussive elements. This ethereal approach to Techno continues on the following deep-groover, 'One More Snooze'.

The B-side opener, 'Phonotis', immediately breaks the silence with a steady 4/4 rhythm, seeing a squelchy synth bassline, warm pads and floating atmospheric textures scattered throughout the six-minute number.

Closing the EP is 'Floor Diving', which once again showcase Hiver's sleek and seductive style of dance music that is made for the dark, underground clubs of Europe and beyond.

For his third solo LP proper as L/F/D/M, the London-based producer/artist/designer jams, layers and hacks a clutch of new hardware toys, the Akai VX90 and Yamaha TX81Z in particular, into 11 variants of what is essentially a style of no wave or new beta techno.
Pursuing his taste for unique, visceral and affective electronic tones into odder integers of the club, L/F/D/M establishes a jagged line that runs from original '80s industrialists thru Larry Heard's legendary Gherkin Jerks and the scenius of Downwards' brummie radge packets to a place right between the eyes of 2017.
DJs and dancers will find full fat, wonky weapons ranging from the cranky-assed jacker Dance, You Awful Cunt, thru to a sludgy turn called Birds, a super-tangy Chicago percolator Texan Flower Girl, and the throaty acid gargle of Living Without Gain. But it's the way in which Richard Smith is just as happy to follow his nose into sparkling vignettes such as After R Version and Ballet, and into the grubby pits of Pinx that really gives this record its shape and asserts its messed-up character.

A Gathering Together is Ron Morelli's second full-length for Hospital Productions: a 'techno' cacophony brought to its granular detail and reduced to its most elemental tonal depths. A cohesive fusion of surreal and feverish deja vu loops, brittle noise, fucked rhythms, scrap metal percussions, pro-one metal synths, and an injection of near-buried, Drano vocal samples, it's a fearsome celebration of brokenness, of amplified surroundings.Stereo-shifting drones and driving rhythms that tell the stories of those now gone, more a soundtrack for a wake than 4/4 crafted for the dancefloor. Sinfol readies a two-part release on his Anagram Label featuring Anetha, Elad Magdasi, Octual and more. Curated by Amsterdam's Sinfol, Volume 1 of 'Phasing Faces' will feature himself alongside Italy's Davide, Berlin's Elad Magdasi and Parisian producer Anetha. Meanwhile Volume 2 will see core Anagram artist Octual helm the package, joined by Mathame, who's appeared on Krill Music and Souvenir Music, as well as Maukook who's also known under his DJ Playstation moniker. Sinfol's dark and ominous 'Trembling' lays down a cacophony of sounds whilst a mesmerizing voice operates on top. The ethereal and rhythmic 'Ono' from Davide then introduces soaring synths and various spectral nuances before Work Them Records producer and Blocaus resident Anetha's 'Acid Train' lives up to its name with an infectious 303 and raves stabs. Tying things together, Front Left Records' Elad Magdasi's 'Two Floors' closes off the release in an epic manner with thudding kicks and otherworldly melodies.

Following up the inaugural release by Glos, Escapism 002 is a mesmerizing two- tracker by one of Leipzig's most talented producers, Talski. He is part of the Institut fuer Zukunft crew, co-runs DUR Records and also performs rare live sets together with his friend Perm as PANDT. 'Soothsayer' shows why analogue production skills are still highly appreciated in contemporary dance music. By limiting himself to only a few machines, Talski manages to create addictive and reduced tracks that focus only on the essentials. This comes especially apparent on 'Soothsayer I' which although stripped back, builds tension, has atmosphere and is driving. 'Soothsayer II' is more evolved. Straight enough to keep people on the dance floor, yet with a fragile and melancholic beauty to it, that sticks with you long after leaving the club.

Sweden's indomitable Dan Johansson a.k.a. Sewer Election - whose Vidöppna Sår was among the earliest LPs released by PAN - goes first with a pyroclastic torrent of molten distortion which calves away to, strangely enough, reveal acoustic guitar strums and soggy location recordings before handing over to keenly tipped American artist Alexandra Atnif, who really gets under the skin with a pair of thrumming rhythmic noise pieces demonstrating devilish discipline and a proper feel for biting-point tones. Keep an eye out for her new stuff.

Silas Moldenhawer and Jonas Kenton, both children of the early 80s, grew up alongside each other in the tiny big city of Copenhagen. In their teenage years they discovered electronic music and this led them to start spinning records and producing tracks together. Years later they met two other talented musicians and formed well-establish Danish indie-electro outfit "When Saints Go Machine", but still kept on building Kenton Slash Demon as a separate project.
Now, four years after the release of their most recent EP Daemon, Danish production duo Kenton Slash Demon return with Skydancer, an immersive and intricate sonic interpretation of club culture that represents a new chapter and direction for the act. Skydancer I is a haunting 7-minute monster, with pitched vocals, industrial hats and a sinister central bass line. The second act, Skydancer II, provides a sunnier counterpoint with a nod to the UK rave scene with its broken drum patterns. This release represents the birth of WAA Industry, a new imprint helmed by KSD and visual artist The Emperor Of Antarctica. Skydancer I & II will be released on a one-sided 12" picture disc record in collaboration with Australian label Future Classic.

"Power Station continue to present their penchant for dark dance club sounds as the third edition of the Kris Baha-led imprint looks to another Melbourne local by way of Lochlan Denholm aka Disrute.
After surfacing on the labels sampler debut just last year, 'Reflexivity' sees Lochlan a chance to explore his style of twisted, pulsing homage to new wave and motorik throb. 'Anvil Landing' wastes no time laying down intentions. Sparse friendly drums are met with a modulating bass line and lazy arpeggio, an incessant sonar pulses and drum rolls intensify. 'Snorkel' continues the mid-tempo intensity, Distressed kick counterpoint with aggressive stabs that rise and swirl before reaching a powerful climax, a track reminiscent of the 2000's turbo-charged italo disco edits.
On the flip we see Japanese supergroup Mascaras, made up of Chida and 5ive (Cos/Mes) tackle unreleased 'Kabutops'. Vocal fans of Disrute's 'Kabu' track from the label sampler, here Mascaras provide a fast paced acid-heavy reinterpretation, intense yet restrained with erratic drum trickery taking Disrute to techno territory. Finally, Disrute reflects with title track 'Reflexivity'. Digital arpeggios and a brooding one note bass work around Curt Cress style harmonic drums, a low slung piece for the early evening. Hand drawn picture sleeve and label, a complete package that signals exciting times for Power Station ahead."
