Techno Vinyl New Releases - News

SPANDAU20 unleashes the first instalment of its new series SPND20X. Label regulars Claus Schoening & Rifts appear alongside J.Manuel's brilliant label debut & founders FJAAK. The four of them present a collection of Electro tracks for the club, full effect guaranteed as per usual. Different times call for different approaches, but gladly some things will always stay the same.

Brioski has been redefining his sound and style on a number of labels, Codek, Throne of Blood, Slow Motion, Nang. He is also the mind behind the Boot & Tax and Tamburi Neri projects.

The Mindless Sequence EP is a selection of the industrial post-techno style Brioski iscurrently pioneering. Warm, trippy, synth heavy tracks with a straight beat framed by sentence fragments. The sound signature is there, analog evolving basslines, icy pad stabs and unrelenting beats and the song structure reflects Brioski's art in its constant evolution.

Griffé is a new label curated by Chat Noir that focuses on dark and powerfull sounds. Between Electro, Rave, Techno and Acid, this release is a blend of very effective dancefloor weapons.

Paris based, Corsican producer Charlou takes control of the A-side with Mercenary and the complicity of Steve Marie on the track X-Station. The OPAQ Records co-founders deliver two tracks that brings immediatly the heat & madness of a rave anywhere it’s played !
The B-Side welcome Botwin, a very talented new comer based in Lyon for his first vinyl release.

... Through 3 tracks he showcases his production skills with a powerfull vibe and infectious grooves that can remind the golden « rave era » of the 90’s.

It's that time again... Every summer Jennifer Cardini's Correspondant imprint celebrates another ground-breaking year with a far-reaching collection. Ranging from palpitating ambience to chuggernaut technoid trips; the stirring 16 track set features late night creations from old friends (Red Axes, Zombies In Miami, Mike Simonetti, Moscoman) new friends (Simple Symmetry, Perel, Julian Stetter, ) and friends that have been Correspondant kindred spirits since day one, but have never had the opportunity to cast their magic on the label... Until now (Black Merlin, MR TC, Yula Kasp & Mi.ro). As always, the vibe is deep, smoldering, emotive, innovative and unapologetically cosmic as we're pushed headfirst into Correspondant's boundary-less soundscape. From the coiled spring funk of Javi Redondo's 'Fictional Friendship' to the hypnotic harmonics and trippy vocal textures of Uriah Klapter's
'Breeze' via the slinky arpeggiated charm of Marvin & Guy's 'Cowboy Disco', it's another sublime excursion from one of the most consistent and considered imprints on the left side of techno.

200 copies only! Very strong 5 track dub & Detroit influenced techno compilation.

Star of the show is Slovenian electro legend Zeta Reticula aka Umek.

Vienna-based DJ and producer, Heap, lands on Mechatronica White with a radiant and hypnotic vision of forward thinking dance music, assisted by Gamma Intel's menacing slow-burner on the flip.

Starting from this release, EPs in the Mechatronica White series will be released via one limited pressing of hand-numbered and hand-stamped white label 12" vinyls, as well as in digital format.

Silicon Scally is one of many monikers used by Carl A. Finlow. He's well known for his backlog of electro beats. On this record he has turned up the craziness with this special electro EP where the daintiness and the aggressiveness are mixed making an unique work of this artist. Dramatic melodies and blasts of energy, sometimes faster than usual but with his impeccable style.

Telephasycx! is an experimental electronic duo. They completed this album with 2 heavy tracks with electro aesthetics. Distorted and robotic voices sometimes making a social protest. Splintered breaks, sharp sounds and dissonances make up the main musical spectrum of this work.

"Cymatics Operator" meets the expectation of the most demanding electro lovers who like to explore outside of the usual territory.

This EP has black sleeves and inserts. Also an artwork of Alonso Urbanos artist.

Italian dark electronics aficionados Alessandro Adriani and Cosimo Damiano come together for a debut collaborative EP on Pinkman. Belonging to different generations but both deeply influenced on one side by "the Sound of Rome", with pioneers like Gabriele Rizzo, Leo Anibaldi and Lory D, and on the other side by the raw electro Dutch legacy of Bunker Records, the two strike a golden middle of their styles with a clanging, raw and packed to the brim with coarseness electro-techno hybrid. Inspired by the cyber dystopia narratives, 'Neurodreamers' reflect on the hi-tech surveillance and the promise of AI which unfolds itself into the prospect of dehumanization. Taking the listener through turmoil and anger, the brutish 4-tracker weave the elements of grubby baselines, coarse synths and erratic percussions with the brain-melting hints of acid and Alessandro Adriani's own recorded vocals. A living warning to us all.

sample alchemy presented by Dip Friso aka Grim Lusk aka Sunny Balm aka ½ Pussy Mothers. Flipping quickly between dubbed out samplescapes, wah-warbled chords, reversed drums, cut up vocal samples and a somehow relaxing sounding argument, the tracks are tripping over themselves to the front of the queue.

Available cassette tape and digital download, limited run of 70 copies.

Matthias Vogt is back on Polytone with two strong original tracks, plus legendary producer Carl Finlow is adding his remix magic. The title track "Imaginary Friend" is an ode to Electro, with a hint of Pop and both: taking us back to the sound of the 80s, yet still sounding fresh and crisp. Carl Finlow's transforming Imaginary Friend into a sci-fi-something - it's out of this world. The B-Side is all about "Crevasse", a timeless beauty - we are in love with this Matthias Vogt trademark sound.

Michelle returns to Nicolas Lutz’s My Own Jupiter!!

Karenn (aka Blawan and Pariah) taking techno back in to the future 5 slices of pudding for your pet fowl

Paal is passionate about hardware - analog drum machines, synths and pedals are tracked through a mixing desk, raw and unedited. Imperfections intrinsic to this process are essential to him and give his sound a unique character - warm, organic and, at times, lo-fi and grainy. This can be heard throughout the EP. The VOI 011 also marks a shift in cover artwork as Voitax departs from the utilitarian, hand-stamped labels of the first releases - German photographer Nina Roders, has conceptualised a series of her unique photographs for the forthcoming ten-part EP series.

Re-Release: Released in 1997, the sound of electro / techno came to a point where it had to evolve into a new and more grounded entity, keyed into funk / space & rooted origins that reflected an ever-changing landscape throughout Detroit and the âAux-Quadrantâ. The bouncy bass line soul of âPosatronixâ project emerges in silence among several platforms without hint of a proper biography or introduction. Later on the guard would be let down that an original lineup member from AUX88 (William âBJ Smith) either produced or inducted A spin-off group over seen by AUX...No video, photos, or interviews accompanied the music...Now in 2018, we re-introduce these dance floor/ dj crate mainstays that have continued to be cherished classics from the very men that not only too rhythmically-funky electro by storm, but raised the bar and took matters into their own hands. 100% Mechanical Electronic Funk.

Remastered edition of the cult classic cassette from the Swedish duo D.Å.R.F.D.H.S. comprised of Michael Isorinne and Jonas Rönnberg aka Varg. Exquisite frozen electro, death-industrual dirge and cadaverous pulse are at that core of this early emission from the

Gábor Lázár's colourful discography extends from sound art to his more recent dancefloor detonations. From his first release on Lorenzo Senni's Presto! label to his collaborations with Russell Haswell and his popular 'seizure inducing' team-up with Mark Fell entitled 'The Neurobiology of Moral Decision Making' to his last album 'Unfold' on The Death of Rave, where he balanced relentless, snappy rhythms and wonky melodic tones against more measured chords to create a deliciously fruity futurism.Gábor has now signed to Planet Mu for his new album 'Source' which moves forward with the dance music direction he started to formulate with 'Unfold'. Gábor first fell in love with electronic music simultaneously through dance music and it's IDM offspring, and also with harsher, noisier computer music on labels such as Editions Mego. This collection, which develops slowly over 8 tracks, works its way through his own take on these influences, moving across themes and loops as if each track is a different stage in a process. All these tracks sound incredible on a club sound system. The listener can hear nods to hoover bass and 2-step in 'Phase', or trance techno in ‘Excite', the dive-bombing bass of dubstep in 'Effort ' or the frantic techno influence of 'Route', emulated in the minimal forms Gábor has created with a sound artist's precision and a strict adherence to his vacuum-like grids. Gábor bends his sounds, abstracts them and re-contextualises them; basslines fire out of the grid at strange angles and squirm as if they've come alive, shards of melody shoot off at wild angles, attacking with drama and a thrilling sense of energy

The clouds pile up in the Dresden autumn sky, but Uncanny Valley still sees a little bit of blue on the horizon. And why not looking on the bright side of life for a change? It's appropriate. At least if you have five killer tracks in your bag. Anyway, the collaboration with the Leipzig graphic designer Doppeldenk proved to be very fruitful and has now produced the fourth of seven children. So, after PINK, RED and ORANGE, here is BLUE. May life be good to you. The record opens with the aptly titled, Chicago-inspired MIND TRIP by Credit 00, the Aldous Huxley from your neighborhood. The Leipziger takes you on a journey on your own nerve pathway with occasional stops at the hottest spots in your body. Local buddy Gnista is piling up layer by layer for the UK meets Electro affair that is PLAYTIME WORKTIME. It's an atmospheric monster that needs to be climbed first. But as soon as this is done, a fresh breeze blows around your nose. In BRECHT HAT ER, the mysterious Dresden underground formation AGB spreads wisdom in staccato mode, accompanied by Cold Wave-like music, which could also have been created in the shadows of the Berlin Wall. After a long time of hiatus, there is also a sign of life again from Uncanny Valley's Break SL, who proves with BYE BYE 627 that he still masters the art of producing House music that is as edgy as it is catchy. In similar veines comes IN TRANSIT from Qnete who channels the ghosts in his machines into an emotional and powerful House track.

Soil Records returns with “Namesis”, a Russian artist who makes exquisite sound material. Once again, Soil Records discovers new talents.

The sensory reaction to persuasive brain-wave activity suddenly makes Susan wonder: was that Dexter, or merely a sly fox? The glimpsing shadow disappears. I'm lost at a club but that feeling is good. I find patterns in repetitive rhythms. We are together, finally. De Sluwe Vos takes Susan on a very special binary journey full of Trans Magnetic Stimulations and more.. you feel me?

Francois X presents Irregular Passion Reshape, a 12 track LP that re-works his album of the same name, due for release in November on Demented XXX. The original full length LP, released in 2018 explored themes of euphoria and melancholy. Entertaining the listener with sensual atmospheres and unpredictable fervour, all designed to mirror the emotions and intensities of nightlife. With Blade Runner-esque soundscapes and bassy club tracks, Francois X played with a variety of genres and references, holding the piece together with cinematic and hedonistic atmospheres. Francois X has invited an accomplished list of friends and artists, both established and newcomers, to re- imagine the album tracks for Irregular Passion Reshape, building a community of like-minded producers that boldy represent what XXX is all about. From Bjarki's frenzied IDM exploration of breaks and golden era dubstep on 'Blurry Youth', to Anthony Linell aka Abdullah Rashim's experimental reshape of 'Down Under'. The collection marks a beautiful transmigration of the original work, embodying the diversity and myriad influences in Francois' own music. 'I wanted a complete rework of my album, containing a wide range of musical directions. A good representation of what XXX is all about. The important thing for me was to have some real transformations on my original material, in a way its a complete new album.'

Unknown collective Lost Trax return for a third EP on Delsin following two previous outings since 2017. Also releasing on the likes of Tabernacle and Frustrated Funk, they deal in emotional music that comes direct from the heart and heads straight for the dance floor. 'De Laye' is a quick and slick, deep and dubby techno cut with plenty of room for the twisted bassline and busy, bristling drums. 'Surface Treated' trips you out with sci-fi sounds and electro influences that recall classic Detroit as they surge into the future and 'Interstate' then gets perfectly dreamy and far sighted, with thoughtful chords and keys drifting up top about tight, punchy drums. This most serene and sublime EP ends on 'Still', a crisp electro cut with icy keys and plenty of machine made drum funk. It makes for a most stylish and timeless collection overall.

For over a decade, Max Ravitz has been obsessively working in his home studio, crafting electronic music under various guises. His primary solo project, Patricia, has been a mainstay in New York's DIY electronic music scene, with releases on labels such as Opal Tapes, Nona, and Ghoslty's Spectral Sound imprint. Over the course of 10 songs, Maxyboy presents a more varied stylistic approach than past Patricia releases, shifting away from some of the `lo-fi' sounds he's known for. With clear nods to electro, acid, IDM, and techno, Maxyboy puts on display Ravitz's eclectic range of influence-- from collaborators and contemporaries, to classic innovators alike. Titled after his family's childhood nickname for him, Maxyboy serves as a window to Ravitz' range of musical interests. "Myokymia," "Downlink" and "Crushed Velvet" highlight Ravitz's penchant for intricate drum programming; while album closer Ctenophora hints towards his drumless sensibilities. Ranging from driving and somatic ("Dripping," "Turtle Funk"), to ambient ("Julia Set") to acid ("Dew Point," "Dr. Oetker's Ristorante"), each song carries an evocative, questioning quality-- something any listener can enhance for themselves by closing the eyes and letting the sounds course through.

To start the new year, International Deejay Gigolo Records presents the 2018 techno interpretation by DJ Hell of Yello's classic tune 'Bostich". The electronic music pioneers Yello released the original 'Bostich' track in 1981 as third single of their album 'Solid Pleasure' and it became a worldwide club hit. The new techno interpretation by DJ Hell reinforces the original vibe and adds a new deep and dark ambience.

Reemerging from the threshold of the cosmic vortex, Black Lodge returns with another sonic artifact that is charged with vigorous chaotic energy, known as EXPERIMENT_ZERO. Accounts of the radiant object's origin are as mysterious as the raw energy that utters from its core. Following a close study, the guardians of the portal suspect that "Experiment Zero" was a primordial experiment rooted in the slam jack pits and DIY warehouse rituals of ages passed. A sonic dialog constructed of various languages, spanning from roots-house jak to bare-knuckled electro are revealed across the artifact - a revolutionary tale that surpasses the constructs of ephemerality, with a refusal to be ignored. Across the release the listener is confronted with fearless acid lines that are underscored by a tone of revolution, and sets the stage for a human voice that switches between modes of a sharp and mutated presence. The power of such sonic objects are both celebrated and rejected by various tribal societies. It is all dependent on the belief structures and traditional histories of its members. Those that belong to the cult of Ron Hardy, Mad Mike Banks, Traxx, and JTC will welcomingly be drenched in its riotous energies. It is for the dedicated, not the light-hearted. After further research it has been discovered that, Experiment Zero is the product of Dona, aka Dj Plant Texture and Mike Tansella Jr. of Son of Traders, both products of the ancient mercantile city of Bari in Southern Italy. Previous works from these artists have been featured on Creme Organization, Gravitational Waves, Unknown to Unknown, and Illian Tapes. All sonic experimentation was recorded in one take to capture the raw energy of instantaneous collaborative sound craft operating in flux. Black Lodge's 4th release is sure to find a space in the music collections of those seeking to travel within the uncanny portals that unforgivingly defy the status quo. Mastered by: Alex J Michalski Label design: Kosmik Pressing: Deepgrooves (NL)

Bunker 4016: Starting off this myriad of dream worlds with 'I wanna dance with you', perhaps the real new divine Donna Summer meets lady boy Marc Almond in a superhot-mixed new wave 80's electronic dance and supersoulseventies disco freak gospel orgasm? Plus some more funky dark whipping beats, add to all this some intense tragic portuguese poetry crying out all the pain and the love of creation, then finished off by the most self-destructive occult arcane darknesse of heavy electro bass industrial nightmare noise of 'mystic derwish or Shiva Sadhu drug-overkill dance' tracks, bringing, no, submitting and delivering all way out of the modern fake reality, yes, back to the cosmic source of all!

Lewski returns on the label with a four track EP, covering a broad spectrum of electro with spaced-out sounds.

Christopher Joseph is back on his Flexxseal label with four enthralling tracks entitled "Eye in the Sky".
He's an emerging talent from from Massachusetts who now resides in Berlin. His productions encapsulate, his vast musical background which includes studying Jazz percussion and living in the vibrant musical hubs of New Orleans and Berlin.

"Eye in the Sky" sees Christopher return to his invigorating Flexxseal imprint following releases from himself and Philadelphia's DJ Richard which together garnered heavy support from the likes of Ben UFO, Call Super, A Made Up Sound, I-F and many more.

"Eye in the Sky" kicks off proceedings with ethereal leads floating underneath electro-fuelled percussion and swirling synths together sending the emotions skyward while vigorously, resonant drums fused with rave- induced modulations and twisted melodies lay the focus in "Lick The Honey".

On the flip, "Nothing69" delivers growling resonations, breaks-tinged drums and otherworldly arpeggios that keep you enticed throughout until "Leaving Ringworld" rounds things off with a vintage, warehouse techno track featuring an effervescent, rolling groove sequence, spiralling oscillations and industrial feels throughout.

Two Detroit labels meet for a special compilation: Explorations in electro, 80's wave and sounds pressed on clear vinyl.
