Using a minimal construction and a haunting melody. The metalic percussion helps the vivid
construction as the synth waves flow.

*It's in the Room*
The 808s rim shots and analog bass bounce around the galaxy. The arpegiated fusion field is the only defence
against the cosmic radiation.

*Migration*
The title track, a haunting arpegio with spacey synth sound scapes breezing and billowing over raw, mid-tempo 808.
A ghostly melody is wrapped in spiky percussion.

*A Different Room*
4/4 beats that transend through phasing modulation that continues the theme of the EP with minimal synth and percussion with a feel of early Chicago.

*About Scape One*
A producer of minimal electronic music from England. He rose to prominence with his Electro work writing for labels like Electrix, SCSI-AV and Templedog. He has been writing music since the 1980s and uses mainly analog hardware in his productions. He also writes under his real name of Kurt Baggaley and also recently launched his Tau Sagittarii project into deep space with his experimental electronic scores.

Turbo Recordings takes new-school electro to grad school with the latest release from Finnish duo Renaissance Man.

Finland's Renaissance Man have earned a reputation as some of the smartest minds in dance music, and by extension, the world. Following their brilliant 2011Turbo debut LP, the actual architects continue to bring high-minded concepts to low-ended club tracks with their latest release, "Call2Call."

The six tracks on this EP take the DNA of classic electro and splice it with techno's focus on structure and the duo's trademark "Critical House" conceptual ingenuity. The use of landline phone samples over dirty 808 beats evokes something both timeless and incredibly time-specific, like a primitive ape-man (or woman) being handed the first-ever cordless phone and hearing his first dial tone as the equivalent of being left to die in space. The result is something familiar yet new, much like the second time you ever read the phrase "familiar yet new."

None of which is to say that this music doesn't have balls. Because it does. Brainy, well-considered balls. Accept them as our gift to you.

The sounds are created by Cygnus, aka Phillip Washington, an electronic musician from Dallas, Texas. Working with synthesisers and drum machines, Phillip engineers sensations that are felt deep within the mind. His influences are respected and embraced, but they never hold him back: from Sun Ra to Autechre, Mortal + Chemist, Giorgio Tsoukalos, Neil deGrasse Tyson, and to the smile within the sneer of Grace Jones.

Dalhous is the latest collaborative incarnation of Marc Dall and Alex Ander, who have previously released on Blackest Ever Black as Young Hunting. The change of name reflects a new clarity and conviction to their work, and while certain sonic signatures, not to mention certain extra-musical influences (particularly the films of Jack Bond and Jane Arden), have carried over from their last project, they're handled here with a newfound sophistication and restraint. Mitchell Heisman marks the beginning of a new chapter in the precocious duo's development, and heralds Dalhous's debut album on Blackest Ever Black in 2013.

It´s been some time since label boss Gregor Tresher featured on Break New Soil. His and Karotte's 2011 smash, "Sol", was his last release, a track preceded by his excellent album "Lights From The Inside". Since then, Gregor has concentrated on the A&R'ing of the label whilst creating and releasing club hits with the likes of Ovum, Music Man and Drumcode. Today he returns home, riding the wave of support for his current Cocoon hit "About A Good Place" and enjoying his seemingly endless run of good form to present: "Warpaint."

No camouflage here. "Warpaint" sees Gregor continue his run of bold arena rocking Techno releases. "I realised that its been well over a year since my last full release on the label and having really enjoyed moving back toward a tougher Techno sound with my Cocoon and Drumcode singles, I wanted to carry that sound into my latest for Break New Soil."

The original burns from the opening thump of the kick-drum. The ever-increasing intensity is fuelled by piercing single note synth riffs, shimmering hi-hats, Gong crashes and lazer shots. An epic concoction. "I've been working on 'Warpaint' for quite some time, playing and refining it over the last few months" says Gregor. "It's been one of the peak time records in my sets and does quite some damage everywhere I play it, hence the name."

On the remix is an artist that has impressed Gregor with his recent releases, Kernel Key. "I've been a fan of all his music over the past months and on his 'Warpaint' remix he adds his signature groove, which gives it a great twist!"

For their latest release, Deadplate invite Bristol's Hodge to craft an EP of analogue soaked Techno.

Throughout this release, Hodge crafts a unique sound that resonates somewhere between the sparse, delay soaked realms of primitive Dubstep, and the driving vigour of modern Techno. Inspired by the use of field recordings and vintage analogue gear, the 'Dusted' EP has a raw and insightful charm that will lure a wide scope of electronica enthusiasts.

Sealed with a characteristically hypnotic remix of 'Turmoil' by close friend Kowton, the 'Dusted' EP marks the full arrival of one of the most forward-thinking young producers, harvesting the rich breeding ground and heritage of Bristol.

Oz's Inkswel sends an irresistible four track package zig zagging across the globe to the door of Fort Unthank on the banks of Loch Firecracker, somewhere in the mists of Scotland, via his very own powerful boogie powered super collider. Opener 'Do It' is how it's done: atomic funk which has been split, stretched and closely inspected, then reassembled to create a dancefloor chain reaction. The funk particles then pass through the Americas and pick up the one and only Chico Mann. A man known for his like minded awareness of, and abilities with, the worldwide ways of the electric boogaloo, he adds his abstract Afro Cuban theories to 'Tu Machito'. Next, it's a sharp turn eastwards to the old countries, whilst riding the waves of 'LFO Bounce'. UK's Funkineven, another kindred spirit in the search for man made machine soul, provides further refinement to the initial wave hypothesis, resulting in a glimpse of the elusive dark matter that is often talked about, but rarely seen or heard.
