UK house-music institution Heidi expands on her exceptional repertoire with the first release on new project, Heidi Presents Jackathon Jams. Recruiting the feminine touches of Maya Jane Coles, Miss Kittin and tINI, this diverse release oozes with the sexiness that only a dream team like this could deliver. Since 2010, Maya Jane Coles has bust onto the scene seemingly from nowhere, dazzling the world with her DJ and production skills and establishing herself as a queen of nu-school house. 'Getting Freaky' is no exception; Maya proves herself once again, delivering deep beats and a trademark melodic groove, spread over innovative synth sounds and a sexy vocal. With roots deep in the underground 90's techno scene, audiences have felt Miss Kittin's musical impact for nearly 20 years and her classic touch is felt on 'Girlz' with heavy percussion and deep bass conquering the field. Jacking grooves and hi-techno synth lines recall feelings of 90's raves, whilst her own timeless vocals recall everything you know and love about Miss Kittin. tINI's remix of 'Girlz' cleverly smooths things out a bit whilst still retaining the energy of the original. With a stripped back, experimental, dub-techno vibe to it, this one sounds like its been sent from the underground of outer-space. Heidi calls on the services of three very talented ladies and as one would expect delivers the quality and diversity she has become renowned for over the years. It's time to reveal it.We are proud to present of Electronique.it Records second release.The Expression Of Emotions In Man And Animals Ep' is the second part of a trilogy on vinyl dedicated to Charles Darwin studies.
In this chapter we want to represent the relation between listening to various genres of electronic music and the emotional expressions arising from that.Darwin theorized how body language, and in particular facial expressions, change and evolve in correspondence to perceived emotions. We believe that this theory can be transposed into music.

Alex Ridha—better known to the world as BOYS NOIZE—has been making electronic music and working as a DJ for over half of his life, which is no small feat considering that Ridha is currently only 29 years old. As a DJ, Ridha has established himself as one of the world's preeminent wizards behind the DJ decks, having played some of the world's biggest stages alongside some of the biggest names in dance music. As a recording artist and a producer, Ridha has created his own sound, and pioneered his own brand, amassing a formidable body of work in the process. He has released two albums (2007's Oi Oi Oi and 2009's Power) and countless singles as Boys Noize, as well as doing profoundly influential work as a remixer and a producer for everyone from Depeche Mode, Feist, Daft Punk to David Lynch and Jarvis Cocker. He has also collaborated extensively with Erol Alkan and Mr. Oizo (on a project called Handbraekes). As for the title of his new record, Ridha explains that this music isn't coming from out of the blue. In fact, it's the opposite.I tend to make and produce music only at night,' he says. 'I also generally only perform at night, so this is music that's coming totally out of the black. Also, they say the color black can absorb all other colors, which is a cool way to think about making music. You absorb every other kind of music every possible soundland what comes out of you is something new, something out of the black.

This time round we find Consequence, hot off the tails of his Tempa release, unleashing an atmospheric and tribal take on Disgu!se's sultry 'Inside out of Love'. Part soundtrack, part techno, all good - this will have you going back for more time and time again.Over on the AA Disgu!se rework their song 'Hourglass' into the lush and emotive 'Fashionably Late Mix' which moves gracefully all the way to the run out groove, making this another solid 12' with the punter well and truly in mind.

Diamond Version is a collaborative project between two of the most groundbreaking, experimental and forward thinking creators in modern music, Byetone and Alva Noto.As joint heads of the German-based label Raster-Noton, and with solo projects Alva Noto (Carsten Nicolai) and Byetone (Olaf Bender), they have been releasing work that spectacularly blurs the lines between the visceral and the conceptual, bridging the gap between gallery and dancefloor.Opening the EP series is Technology At The Speed Of Life / Empowering Change. The combined effect of these tracks' crisp, synthetic surfaces and the slogans hyperreal imagery is twofold, drawing attention to the sinister utopias the titles suggest, while also hinting at their inherent absurdity.

Trevino aka Marcus Intalex has been wowing all and sundry with his tight Detroit / Chicago / whoknoswhere take on UK Bass music. His early tracks like 'Chip' on Martyns 3024 and 'Derelict' on Naked Lunch, showed tough, melodic, techno and electro were back on the menu, but filtered thru the mind and ears of a man who was been releasing fresh UK music since 1994.Appleblim was amongst the first to hear and start playing Trevino's new cuts, and has seen him go from strength to strength. Trevino is one of those producers who's tracks people are constantly running up to the booth, freaking out about and enquiring about, and that is a sure fire indication of big tunes!
So naturally when Trevino said he'd be happy to put some tracks out on Pips, Appleblim was buzzing...'Indulge' has been a mainstay of his sets and shows Marcus's versatility...gentle undulating melodic stabs seem to weave together for an age before hydraulic bursts of wavejumper bass start to fill the gaps. When a tough electro style stepping rhythm comes in, the dancefloor is ready for heads down skanking!
On the flip is an almost lost classic, 'Under Surveillance', many of the DJs who have been dropping this for a while are pleased to see it come out, its dystopian sci-fi stepping rhythm combining with claustrophobic synths spraying all over the gaff! Proper head nod biz, which hints at the feelings induced at the early DMZ parties...all in all a tasty package.

After the amazing View From Above EP on Frantic Flowers we simply couldn't resist to do another project with this guy. Detroit legend Terrence Dixon, the mastermind behind Population One, is a genius in the field of minimalism and reduction. As a truly unique character from the early Detroit techno era, always being true to his own style, this EP brings 4 new cuts in his typical and recognizable sound. Minimalistic monotone rhythms and weird loop constructions, always with the right tension in place, sometimes topped off with spoken words. On the title track 'I Program My Computer Right', a weird guitar loaded affair, Terrence Dixon is accompanied by Ulandra & Tiaria, supplying the vocals. Again a very collectible release on Frustrated Funk's Harbour City Sorrow!

After the Dexter and Erik Travis releases its funkateer mr Blount getting freaky on his 2nd release! Hailing from New Zealand Reggie Blount made his debut 1.5 year ago on Clone Crown ltd. His Hard Times debut ep sold out straight away and got loads of fine feedback from the heads out there. This second ep starts with more crazy funky vocal p-funk tracks Flip side starts with the incredible track ''Hey''. One of those tracks that is able to give you goose bumps and grow on you to become one of those ''our tunes'' kinda tracks you share with that special person. Ep is finnishing of with the beautiful wave electro funk kinda thing called Racecar! As if Garry Numan is doing some p-funk. Recommended!

Our much lauded D.I.M. has vanished into thin air for a while only to get back with some hotter stuff incl. 4 new tracks. 'GO!' opens this EP with a seductive imperative in form of a bouncing bassline and some high-pitched frequency in remembrance of Sydney's traffic lights.'Mariachi' the 2nd track is all about the typical elements and sounds which makes D.I.M. so damn well known for. On the flip 'Dragon' follows as an dubbier, harder edged, straight-up house track with an undeniable old-skool vibe. A howling warm synth which can't decide if it's acid or not and a grooving rhythm - With just one listen you'll be hooked! 'Eternal' the last track of the Vinyl EP is the perfect tune for the late-night dancefloor; vibey, full of emotions and impressively deep. Again, a superb production with a revealing side of D.I.M. no one would expect. Coming as a Digital Bonus Track 'Loaded' completes the EP and is a worthy addition to the D.I.M. track repertoire.

In Hades no one can hear you scream. Vast armies of centurions fight for acid dominion. Marching music fills the air, music for the brave. Sheets of chemical rain stain the night sky orange and red. Cerberus belches out of the night like a shotgun blast to the face. This slavering three headed beast with coal black eyes patrols the banks of the river Styx, the river of lost souls. It's hot sulphurous breath and steaming piles of iridescent dung fill the air with the stench of the damned, as the wretched hoards moan by wrapped in the rivers currents. In the background are lakes of burning fire. Skeletal battalions raid moss covered temples where the sweet smell of incense mingles with fresh blood. Somewhere in the forest a ritual begins, the hypnotic melodies of Pan like a soothing balm. For tonight wine must be spilt as well as blood.
