Exalt comes up trumps once again with this superb collaboration between 2 highly skilled producers. 2 tracks of deep 4/4 and addictive electro goodness with plenty of attention to detail. Perfect end of summer jams for the heads!

* This is the third release on the 6-volume Surgeon reissues label, SRX.
* Originally released in on Downwards Records in 1996, Communications marked the first mini-album and a more fully-fleshed out concept release for Surgeon. So raw, it will skin your knees.
* It still has the power to corrupt the youth of today.
A few words from Surgeon about the SRX series:
While searching through old DAT tapes I was shocked to find how clear and dynamic many of my early tracks sounded, not the way I remembered them from the vinyl releases. Those early tracks, recorded 20 years ago, were mastered and cut by people who had no understanding of electronic music. I actually remember cutting a dubplate back then and being asked if my track was "supposed to sound like that" The engineer was so disgusted at my music that once the cut started he left the room until it was finished.
Although some of these releases have been repressed many times over the years, they have always been from the original plates from those early cuts; none have ever been re-mastered and recut in their original from. So I began carefully transferring everything from the original DAT tapes and working closely with Christoph Grote-Beverborg from Dubplates & Mastering in Berlin (who's been cutting my all my releases since 1996) to present this early material as it was originally intended.
Along with the early Downwards releases, I found high-quality unreleased tracks from that time as well as releases that had only been issued in limited pressings; those too are included in this project. For the packaging I commissioned Ken Meier and Yoonjai Choi from the New York design firm Common Name to create some sumptuous sleeve art.

Bolstered by the unshakable body of work behind it, Brooklyn-born Berlin-based techno label Chronicle reaches its milestone tenth release with its gaze fixed dead ahead. Ten releases in, it pays to make a strong, defiant statement of intent, toasting to what the label has been about
so far. More important though is to remind those tuned in to take heed, because the next step is always the most significant.
From the artists crafting the music at its beating heart to the all-important design that packages the records, Chronicle is a label that pulls no punches in its creative vision. Given that the vision in question matches unbridled futurism with elegance and intensity, Consider This A Warning is a fitting title for a salvo of sounds that set the tone for where Chronicle will head in its coming chapters.
Chronicle is a label that has always thrived on the evocative power of eerie, tension riddled techno, and this compilation builds on those foundations
and reaches out to a swathe of tempos and intensities without ever losing that haunting spark that has shaped out the label to date. Joining in on this behemoth project is; Aiken, Arnaud Le Texier, Ben Gibson, Hironori Takahashi, Imugem Orihasam, Echoplex, Mike Storm, Staffan Linzatti, & Zadig.
The forward-thinking nature of the music in this collection sums up the ethos of Chronicle as a whole. Each artist has a distinct identity but they all strive to push techno into unexplored realms, placing the emphasis on atmosphere and psychological impact. In such an approach can the most affecting sounds be found, and there will surely be few listeners left unmarked by this record.
You have been warned.

Following contributions by DJ Deep and DJ Hell, Tresor Records are proud to present the third instalment in their Kern mix-series, this time headed by Berlin based producer Objekt, his first release following his 2014 debut album Flatland for PAN. In keeping with the series mission of showcasing a more personal approach to mixing Hertz describes his process as such,
Kern Vol. 3 is made up of tracks that I know I will play and love for years to come. Some of these records have been in my bag for years, others are almost as new to me as they are to you. A handful are by lesser known artists whom I admire and who I think deserve wider recognition. Planned, recorded, embellished, reworked, tweaked and chiselled away at over a period of 6 months, the mix was gradually carved out in a way that makes use of new and old techniques alike, presenting itself primarily as a DJ mix but settling in a sweet spot between live recording and studio trickery. The tracklist spans styles, decades and BPMs in an attempt to craft a mix that's unpredictable and compelling in equal measure - one that draws from the more adventurous corners of my club sets, but above all, one that's a pleasure to listen to.
Clocking in at 75min across 36 tracks, Kern Vol. 3 delivers on Objekt's promise, stitching together everything from the playful breakbeats of Beatrice Dillon's "Halfway" to Kirk DiGiorgio's classic techno "Nebula Variation" and the lightspeed IDM of Aleksi Perälä and Ueno Masaaki without missing a beat. A descent through ambient bliss, thundering cello drones and vocal contortions (courtesy of Anna Caragnano, Yair Elazar Glotman and Senyawa's Rully Shabara respectively) give way to the stoned haze of Sensational vs Sotofett and metalwork of Machine Woman and Skarn, rounding up a highly eclectic and adventurous mix which also includes previously unreleased tracks by Bristol's Shanti Celeste, rising Brooklyn producer Via App and accomplished electro technicians Clatterbox and Polzer.

After kindly stepping in on remix duties on our first Miskotom release Kito is back on Pleasure Unit with a nicley rounded EP that shows the full extent of his production skills. Houstrack does what it says on the tin and pumps it up in true old skool house style, Damp firecrackers sounds like it could come from a long lost Italian Library Lp. On the flip Never been to Ibiza beaches in 1997 is a nice laid back Balearic ode as you might expect, lastly Jungle Mantra is a dense tropical treat. Check for Kito's previous releases on diverse range of labels from Bahnsteig 23, Freerange,Dirt Crew,Hell Yeah and Bordello A Parigi
The historical Power Electronic founders duo remixed by two of the infamous artists of this new industrial/noise scene. Parrish Smith, also know as Sige Bythos and Volition Immanent, already appeared on labels as Nation, Contort Yourself and Knekelhuis, made a smashing track, slow and heavy, distorted and electrically powered.Black Seed, already appeared on DTLS SND and Sign Bit Zero signed a syncopated track, with tribal influences and bouncing sounds that will turn your brain into a whirpool.
Procreation and Religion... let's think about that.
Repro's debut on Euromantic "Post-Nostalgia" gives the past a cold look through contemporary eyes and provides the soundtrack for a post-nostalgic fantasy. It's a new world, full of old dreams.

Dutch duo Deep Dimension debut on Rekids with a stomping vocal cut entitled 'So 1992' featuring a collaborative remix from label founder Radio Slave and rising star P.Leone.
Jeffrey Hek & Jimmy van de Geijn have been actively DJing for over two decades. The pair paired up as Deep Dimension in 2015, combining their talents to form a signature techno sound comprised of deep basslines and powerful kicks. Launched earlier this year, their vinyl label named GEN X has instantly picked up overwhelming support from the likes of Radio Slave, Tommy Four Seven, Benny Rodriguez, Kobosil, and many more. They now continue their upward trajectory by arriving on Matt Edwards' respected Berlin based imprint, Rekids.
Thudding kicks are joined by rising synths as pitched up vocals come into play in 'So 1992'- the result is a rave inspired techno monster designed to throw crowds into frenzy. On the flip, Radio Slave pairs up with Rekids regular P.Leone for a cavernous reimagining complete with rolling percussion, off-beat hats and eerie atmospherics.

“Branislav Jovančević from Belgrade has created something deep, dark and beautiful for his first vinyl release and we are honoured to welcome him here on DISK!
All 4 tracks take it easy at first but will not let you off the hook until they are done with you! They’re gonna drag you down far below that surface of the flickering chirrs where that summer night felt still warm and snug.
I can not tell you what’s waiting for you down there cause whatever it is emanates from your subconscious as much as it does from Branislav’s machines. And like that park of machines, all animated by their own will, the machines of desire residing in your unconscious may respond and connect however they feel like - independent of your conscious control. Trust me - that’s exactly what will happen!
That being said, it also works great for dancing in clubs!
On top of all that Igor Milanović made an exceptionally beautiful cover which comes stamped with gold hot foil!!”

The next in ART’s classic Remaster series is another gem from the early Eevolute catalogue. Max404’s (Erwin van Moll) “Recycler” EP was originally released in 1992 during the heyday of European Techno meets Detroit influences.
The legendary Solid Bass DX100 preset sound dominates the opening track showing its Detroit influences from the off. Mamoulian brings the European EBM/synthwave sound to the fore whilst Hangover merges the Chicago/Detroit sounds in a funk bass led feast.
Fractal View was the big hit from the EP. A techno-breaks hybrid perfect for the raves of today and yesterday. The EP ends with the dark, heavy breakbeat Quiddity - a haunting track that ensures ths classic eclectic EP stays in the mind forever.
Never previously reissued in its full vinyl format and only previously available as an in-demand original with prices to match - the remaster meticulously brings the sound up to modern standards.

It all started with a handful of cash but ended in eviction.
Always intended as a story in two parts, Jules Smith aka October's Eviction EP is the six-son follow up to his Pay Day EP, we unleashed in late 2018. An album's worth of material made 'just for Honey Soundsystem' Jules is back with his sleazy Prophet-one driven industrial disco.
As indulgent as the rave sirens and snare pummels on the title track seem, October's sheer mastery in production and studio mixing turn these tongue-in-cheek-in-your-face nightclub firecrackers into delicacies. Oh! And file 'Larry Bruce Chest Thumper' under Front 242 and i:Cube doing a line off of an iPhone together

Solipsism heads into new territory with this deeply hypnotic four track EP of Dubbed out Downtempo Techno and Fuzzy Electro. Hypnagogo EP has had support from Soma Records (Scotland) Joe Muggs (Mixmag, The Guardian), Indie Rock Magazine (France), Is This Music Magazine (Scotland), Regal Radio (Scotland), Relaxed Machinery (Australia) & many others. Comparisons have been drawn with artists as diverse Beaumont Hannant, Boards of Canada and Deepchord.
John Talabot and Axel Boman teamed up in 2017 for their R&S debut 'The Night Land' where they got to flex their creative muscles over eight tracks of rich synth jams.
The two electronic artists have been independently successful in their respective careers, but as Pitchfork expressed in their glowing review 'Their collective output doesn't sound much like either's work; it doesn't even necessarily reflect the thin, convex sliver where their interests overlap. Instead, they've hit upon something new.' This new sound also proved to be a hit with the likes of Mojo, Phonica, XLR8R, Self Titled and DJ Mag all including it their annual best of lists.
The artists have now handpicked four artists to create their own vision of the Talaboman sound.
Superpitcher, Samo DJ and Luke Slater under his L.B. Dub Corp alias have all seriously delivered the goods.

After releasing a track via Ben Sims' Tribology compilation in 2018 VIL drops his 'Ritmica EP' on the British DJ's legendary Hardgroove imprint this October.
Previous output for Synewave, Analog Solutions and Planet Rhythm have won Lisbon's VIL support from across the techno community and the 'Ritmica EP's propellant cuts continue a strong discography.
Opener '97-1' is an urgent heads down affair that rarely takes a breath, instead relying on the ebb and flow of pads to provide contrast to the undulating bass and punchy rhythm track. 'Field', taken from last year's Tribology comp, is next up and unfolds a little more slowly with creeping breakbeats laying the grit atop a detailed hypnotic groove. On the flip, 'Breaker' and 'Hawav' go for the late-night dance floor assault from the off, the former employing breaks and phased, percussive lead sounds to substantial effect while the latter lets loose with distorted kicks and chewy, arpeggiated bass.

HARDFLOOR releases new single for the first time in one year. The A side uses TR-808 and the TB-303 has vibrato, making it a mysterious track like a "ART OF ACID" which has highly rated in recent years and it is traded at a premium price. Side B is a straight acid track uses TR-909. TB-303 resound like a crawling on the ground. This is HARDFLOOR Tracks.

Exzakt's first EP on Monotone since 2007 is a collection of various tracks that have not been on vinyl. This tracks were hand selected by fans out of 17 tunes to chose from. First we have Madrid Nights which has been only heard in Exzakt DJ sets and was a fan favorite that has often been requested for release but has not until now. This song is a deep look into Exzakt's progression in his sound. This track explores many emotions through ever changing soundscapes. A2 is an excellent remix of Larry McCormick's Escape track which originally released on Datapunk in 2004. 214 completely dismantles the parts to make a unique composition that turns into a journey and its perfectly fit for a proper vinyl release. The B starts with an Exzakt Classic that from the start screams to be heard on wax. Me & My 808 is a heavy, ripping tune that will service any dance floor. Last is an emotional piece that you can tell from the title, Love Hate. Again Exzakt goes deep on this one but still keeps the beat pumping like his tracks often do. This is another solid Exzakt Record that should be in any Electro Collectors record box.

The Death of Rave is honoured to plate up the vinyl debut by NYZ, the cult, algorithmic/ generative music project of award-winning artist/scientist Dave Burraston (Bryen Telko, Noyzelab).
The A-side revolves 14 succinct blatz ranging from cranky percussive pieces to queered microtonal dissonance and SAW II-like atmospheres - notably including one track made on a
Sequentix Cirklon sequencer and PreenFM2 synth gifted him by Richard D. James - while the B-side contains a steeply immersive spectral drone tract that (never) ends in a locked groove,
especially cut at D&M, Berlin.
The results are wholly unique and speak to the endless, playfully experimental variation of NYZ's art/research. They reveal visceral, alien microcosms of curdled microtonal tunings and
proprioceptive chicanery bound to thrill and induce strange, new sensations in even the most hard-to-please fiend of electronic music. It's strongly recommended to followers of Russell
Haswell's kaotic gnash, the mind-bending tunings of Aphex Twin, the visionary algorithmic scapes of Roland Kayn, and Eliane Radigue's microtonal meditations.
In Dave's own words: SHFTR FRQ is a series of experimental studies into simple synth setups controlled by varying levels of generative complex systems (MANIAC cellular automata). Recorded over the last 6 years on an ever changing hybrid of equipment encompassing the domains of modular & MIDI based microtonal sound synthesis (analogue & digital). Setups were always ultra-minimalist, often with just the MANIAC cellular automata sequencer and 1 or 2 modules/synths to provide a consistent sensory focus. The studies range from ultra-short sequences, micro-ditties, investigatory motifs, to a full length high spectral drone meditation.
Dave Burraston has previously collaborated with Alan Lamb on recordings of a mile-long telephone wire in the Australian outback, and more recently he issued nearly a dozen NYZ tapes and CDs
with some of the most crucial modern music labels, as well as a number of releases under the Noyzelab and Bryen Telko aliases. In 2014, Dave self-published 'SYROBONKERS!', the most technical and in-depth interview ever given by Aphex Twin.
