Orbis X is a sublabel of Orbis Records and will be mainly focusing on softer yet often usable as DJ material for the broader mass interested in Electronic music. This sublabel is an extension of Orbis Records softer, more melodical and experimental side.

Music will be ranging from house, dub, chicago over melodic acid and even breaks. Not any track makes it to this sublabel if it can't stand on its own and stand the test of time! We warmly welcome the Dutch duo Dennis Pors & Stephan de Bruijn to OrbisX. New fresh talent, ready to conquer the world. We feel obliged to support these
fine gentlemen to get their music spread across the globe. Dennis & Stephan know each other through their musical perspectives.
They share a similar taste for music, Detroit techno. Before they worked together, Dennis experimented with deep house through digital synths and learned the ins and outs of programming music in Logic.
Stephan was well known with the detroit techno scene. His passion goes out to well balanced electronic music with hypnotizing emotional feeling to it. Add a layer of atmospheric grooves on top of that and you have the perfect blend to potential timeless music.
Soon enough they made the switch to analog gear to be able to create a cleaner and better sound. After three years of hard work, they have reached the sound they were looking for. And this is it!
Their debut on vinyl. D&S servers a full EP called Thoughts EP. A great cocktail of dreamy and diverse electronic tunes. This EP fits well in the back of any DJ bag to warm up the place or fix the atmosphere on roof-top bar in NYC. Smooth cruising, roof down car music or background music on a spring night with a summery breeze This EP is amazing and works best on a big sounds systems and major festivals! Childs play , what s in a name. Nothing like that melody. Creating a generously opening atmosphere, but actually brilliantly mixed creating the perception of simplicity. Groovy, acid touches and funky. Can t keep still when being played. A-track for sure! Thoughts might have a dark feel to it but evolves in a very uplifting track in just a few moments, making
it very bright and fun to play. Shed light to the place, should have been a great title as well, but thoughts is the best name for this track. The story in this track is definitely there to be told and listened to. Edge Of Insanity kicks of the B-side. Goosebumps, as from the start. Building up slowly to a very melodic and yet simply track, it s the perfect translation for a sunrise at the beach. Potential
Ibiza hit if you ask us. Submission is a track straight out of a movie. Clever, nice build up, dreamy, spacey and above all so amazingly subtle. This is what falling in love should sound like. We re humble. We re amazed. We re honoured to host D&S. We hope this duo gets the attention

Inland returns to his home label with a new four track EP - ‘2122’.

After an explorative soundtrack / LP with conceptual artist Julian Charrière on A-TON in late 2018, and a high pressure club 12’’ on Figure in March, this next EP from the UK-born producer (Ed Davenport) tightens the gap between those two contrasting disciplines. Tough, galvanic techno cuts pair with detailed bleep trips in a new strain of mature and confident output.

On the A1 and B1 lie optimised, modernist DJ tools; ‘2122’ and ‘Noisefields’ both journey toward a brooding, alien inferno. Meanwhile orbiting alarm signals (’Stowaway’) and the psychedelic funk of ‘Lifeline’ chart a lesser-known course, scanning the outer reaches in search of new sonic textures and future dance rituals.

The vinyl release of '2122' will feature a full-cover sleeve featuring artwork by London-based photographer Tom Kavanagh. Mastered by FAR.

George FitzGerald and Lil Silva proudly present OTHERLiiNE and the debut track Chimes, out now. OTHERLiiNE is a musical partnership that began accidentally. A glorious voice that was only gradually - reluctantly, even - revealed. It’s a forthcoming set of songs that developed lives of their own. An instinctive musical connection between a pair of producers that inspired a suite of tracks to form this magical world.

Kicking off the VA is Magna Pia, one half of the power-duo Cassegrain. Combining a stomping kick with atmospheric sound design and an industrial-influenced lead, ‘Ina’ is a thoughtful peak-time weapon. Following on is one of Sweden’s underground mainstays, Sandra Mosh. ‘Paimon’ is a highly effective groove-led track that is synonymous with Mosh’s sound: hypnotic and driving.

Next up is Miller & Keane, consisting of Abstract Division’s Dave Miller and Damian Keane. ‘Foundation’ is a twisted warehouse tool that combines a frenetic, sticky analog lead with stomping percussion and an industrial snare. Closing the release is Brothers Black’s ’Childish’. Combining driving percussion with audio samples from one of the 00’s famous horror films, Childish is an unpredictable, memorable cut.

3KZ is an Italian duo composed by Z.I.P.P.O & KAELAN, two different creative minds that decided to share the intimate creative experience in order to explore the unknown and takes you on a musical journey through unexpected territories. Lithuanian producer Mantas Povilaika, aka DJ JM, has announced new five-track EP, ‘No Days Off’ – his inaugural record for blossoming club label, Nervous Horizon.

After first starting to emerge on the London club scene radar back in 2015, Nervous Horizon label heads TSVI & Wallwork played some early JM material at their debut London Boiler Room session in 2016, sparking a relationship that has since birthed collaborations on TSVI EPs ‘Sacred Drums’ (2016) and ‘Rambo’ (2018).

After releasing a further two full EPs on NKC’s hard drum label Even The Strong, ‘No Days Off’ forms a natural extension of his work with TSVI, only this time more extensive and detailed. From the anthemic, late ‘90s euphoria of the title-track to the searing club energy of ‘Mad Move’ ft. TSVI to the dark, pulsing techno flicker of ‘Bar Bell’, it is an EP forged at peak time and only tempered by mystical EP closer, ‘Original Taste’ – a track inspired by local Lithuanian club sounds and faraway worlds.

Schmer Schmer has been looking for the next Prototype 909 since 1995. While they may never be found, we have instead found a few artists that with the same spirit of adventure have taken electronic music to new frontiers of unimaginable creativity. Primary among them is Lena aka Galcid aka Lenacid.

Lena's electrifying live performances utilizing eurorack modular synths with vintage and modern machines follow three simple 3 rules:

She has been called Jeanne d'Arc of modular because her style her appearance and her fearlessness.

For Schmer, Lena has created an EP made for the melting of your mind, if it doesn't first melt your speakers.

Lena uses her electronics in the most effective way possible. The classic acid machines are deployed to establish the themes the modular synths bring in sounds that take these tracks to another level. The eponymous track will hypnotize you into the state of focus necessary to allow you to go deep inside. Then the Acid Police show up! A funky drum machine rocker sure wake you out of your trance. Steel Vein has the intensity to rewire your modular mind. bpmf provides an hard driving aggressive take on Melting to help us turn on the switch.
Legendary DJ and producer Hisashi Saito has been making acid and techno since the early 90s. Using his unique
skills this EP has a rare clarity of sound not often heard on such ambitious recordings. Lenacid “Melting EP” opens up a new frontier for acid, for Schmer and for Lena that you are invited to explore with us this spring.

As Galcid, she has played alongside world renowned artists such as Nina Kraviz, Daniel Miller, Oval, DJ Nobu, Isao Tomita, Takkyu Ishino, Ken Ishii, G-man (LFO) among others. In 2016, she was invited by the Japan Media Art Festival to play at the special exhibition, held at the Eyemyth Media Arts Festival in Mumbai, India. Her 1st album “Hertz" received a worldwide release in digital format on the Detroit Underground label. The release attracted the attention of Karl Hyde (Underworld), Chris Carter (Throbbing Gristle) among other well-known musicians the world over. Shortly thereafter, Galcid played at "Boiler Room Tokyo". In July 2017, she embarked on her first EU tour playing shows in Barcelona, London, and Madrid, after she came back, she participated in Iron Island Festival and Mutek Japan garnering high praise in the media. In December 2017, she was invited to headline Future Mix's 20th Anniversary event and workshop in Shenzhen where she performed and held a talk with techno pioneer Mijk Van Dijk.

Genesa Records continues to push newcomers in 2018. This time we have a split EP by the Dutch duo Phobia and the Italian producer Blacksun. Both projects have released on the label's digital only series in the past and have proven themselves with bold and effective productions. For this EP, they conjured astonishing tracks that make a must-have release for vinyl djs!

Having established herself as one of Bristol’s most exciting new faces on the scene, local selector Yushh has turned her attention to the groundswell of talent the city has to offer when it comes to the cross-section of bass music with her new label project, Pressure Dome.

Tied together by syncopated rhythms and broken beats, each producer featured brings their own style, tempo and atmosphere. The first release from this new imprint provides a range and depth that reflects Bristol’s musical versatility, from newcomer Syz whose contribution follows highly praised releases on Only Ruins and Brotherhood Sound System, to some of the city’s newest party starters to rise through the ranks.

For this edition of the LFRMX-series Len Faki is turning to 1990‘s trance and acid. The bpm might be
lower than back in the days, but there‘s just as much energy coming off these irresistible tunes in their
updated versions.
Featuring the original‘s sizzling synth work by Kompakt co-founder Wolfgang Voigt‘s early
collaborative projects, Planet Love Ink strikes an upbeat chord in order to show off its grand piano
break for maximum effect.
Equally tapping into the early nineties, Structure – We are Structure is a weighty acid banger with no
frills attached. Straight, honest and nailing era‘s vibe to the core. B-Side‘s all about old school trance,
booming breaks, and epic synth-sweeps, in this instantly captivating, elevating and driving rework of
Illuminatae – Tremora del Terra, a hymn to many back in the days.

Cardopusher opens proceedings with machine-driven EBM acid, then Steven Simpson (of 10PillsMate fame) channels analogue classic Chicago house styles. On the flipside, Matt Whitehead brings the 90’s UK rave energy, while Sankey’s resident Jozef K closes the EP with deep, lush, melodic acid. Pre-orders sold out 200 copies of this in less than 90 minutes, the last few copies won’t stick about. Don’t sleep.

In our brand new 12" vinyl release Axel Karakasis has produced the mouth-watering Hashtag EP, for all those vinyl and Techno lovers out there to enjoy a wild time on the dancefloor.

On the Main Side, the title track opens up in a bass-heavy, thumping tempo mode that evolves into a magnificent mixture of insane synth samples. The result is so refreshing and upbeat that you cannot get enough of it! Happy Monday completes the sequence on the side: the track provides an ultra-rhythmic counterpart with layers of textured presets and a voice sample that strikes out!

On the Remain Side, Spillover is a rolling monster, with a highly contagious, utter rhythmic grooviness that is simply irresistible. Ample percussion and hats accommodate retro synths and reverberating keys that cut through the track to give way to a solid techno workout that is exquisite.

Since its launch in 2013, Bright Sounds has established itself as a label bridging the gap between the dancefloor and more experimental sounds, releasing EPs by the likes of Shlomo, Tilliander, Burnt Friedman or more recently Conforce.
On its eleventh release, the label welcomes Ben Thomas aka BNJMN with 'Final Network EP', the UK producer based in Berlin and releasing on Tresor, Delsin, Counterchange or more recently on his newly founded imprint: Tiercel.

The EP opens up with 'Reticuli', an ambient techno journey into a forest of otherworldly sounds. 'Neurocity' comes next with its rattling sounds met by disorienting and spooky melodies. On the B-Side 'Cloaked' starts off with bare kick and congos before waves of drones add textures producing an eerie atmosphere. The title track closes this EP, slowly building to create an ecstatic floating mood, leaving you longing for more as it gently fades away.

'Heritable Traits' is the first EP from Distant Echoes on his long-time friend Buck's Substrato records.

'Rail to rail' opens the release with a straight-forward techno groove which develop constantly reaching the climax thanks to an uncompromising mix of electrified modular sounds and deep textures. 'Barking dogs', the second track of the A-side, is marked out by a rolling kick pattern framed with an ever-changing yet hypnotic bass bringing you on a mysterious trip until the end.

On the B-side 'Lighthouse in the fog' brings us back to label's most intimate club attitude, where the 3/4 kick and the FM bass interact endlessly helped by moving textures and minimal hats, typical of Distant Echoes' productions. The B2 'Swirling thoughts' is a gently-hectic broken beat track, suitable for any use where the dreamy soundscapes contrast with the aggressive Cwejman grooves and kick. 'A walk in the field' closes the release with a down tempo sexy groove conceived for the most different sets, the catharsis is completed by the constant movement of LFOs embracing each others progressively until the end of the track.

Scan 7 which is very close related to Underground Resistance, forms a mysterious Detroit underground collective and with this triple album, Scan 7 is back at the front with a varied style from Metroplex reminisced electro to stringing, banging techno and from deeper Detroit house to epic rooted galaxian jazzy vibes, bringing back the heydays of techno's most influential period ever. Starting with the energetic 'Stringing me along' with thick Deja-Vu UR/ DJ Rolando flashes, towards the political tinged nu-classic electro 'It's time' and from Berghain/ Tresor bangers like 'I'm covered' with the frightening words 'no weapons formed against me shall prosper' until deep vibin' floating house sounds from the Motor city, this album is full of energetic tracks with undeniable deeply rooted futuristic funk and experimental Motown vibrations.

SCAN 7`s name (originating from the word DETROIT, which consists of 7 letters, and its area code, 313 (which, added up, equals 7)) will forever remain definitively techno and wholeheartedly Detroit and is here with this 3xLP to infiltrate and knock out!

Bicep continue to develop their Feel My Bicep imprint and follow up releases from Hammer, 808 State and Cromby with a 12" from a fresh signee: James Shinra.

With over 10 years experience in releasing music, James is an artist with a broad sound palette - evinced clearly in his 2018 LP 'Vital Heat' within which he astutely turned his hand to everything from 'laid back piano pieces to frenetic breakbeat workouts'.

Having also previously remixed Kiwi duo Sandboards on FMB008 he now captures a distinctly Feel My Bicep tone in bringing together 2 impassioned tracks suffused with 80's character. Cleverly structured and melodically complex, they showcase his skilful synth-work perfectly.

Also included is a robust interpretation of Arc from 50Weapons and R&S affiliate Benjamin Damage as well as a balmy remix of Signs from the legendary John Beltran fresh from his Placid Angles album earlier this year.

DAWN STATE is back with a new release from legendary London based producer 100Hz.

100Hz (aka Lee Renacre) has been shifting self-released promos out of the boot of his car since '89 and was a key figure in the first wave of Tech House coming out of London in the late 90's. The groove and swing of a 100Hz production is unmistakable and his signature sound continues to push the boundaries of House and Techno.

A1 is Warp, a track originally released in '96 (although it still sound like its from the future) on the legendary Pacific Records and now difficult to find in a good condition (or good price!). This 2019 reinterpretation draws out the groove while staying true to the energy of the original. This is pure, fast-paced, adrenaline-fuelled Techno made for giving your body and mind a hard reset.

The B side takes things slower and deeper with two new productions; CaliVon overlays infectious swinging hats over a dark and tense atmosphere, creating a melancholic experience primed for losing yourself on the dancefloor. The sense of disassociation continues with Tundra, a brooding, circling masterpiece of disorienting deepness, spinning chaos and unity round your mind in perfect harmony.

In this post-industrial, post-enlightenment religion of ourselves, we have manifested a serpent of consumerism which now coils back upon us. It seduces us with our own bait as we betray the better instincts of our nature and the future of our own world. We throw ourselves out of our own garden. We poison ourselves to the edges of an endless sleep.

Animated Violence Mild was written throughout 2018, at Blanck Mass’ studio outside of Edinburgh. These eight tracks are the diary of a year of work steeped in honing craft, self-discovery, and grief - the latter of which reared its head at the final hurdle of producing this record and created a whole separate narrative: grief, both for what I have lost personally, but also in a global sense, for what we as a species have lost and handed over to our blood-sucking counterpart, consumerism, only to be ravaged by it.

I believe that many of us have willfully allowed our survival instinct to become engulfed by the snake we birthed. Animated — brought to life by humankind. Violent — insurmountable and wild beyond our control. Mild — delicious.

Matt Edwards launches Stranger in The Night with his first solo material since 2017.
The Rekids offshoot will release regular music by four artists, namely Radio Slave, King
Britt, Anthony Rother and Fred P, who will each drop three EPs over the next year.

'With Rekids being 100% focused on releasing music for dance floors I felt the need to
create a new platform to explore a wider musical vision and invite some of my all-time
electronic musical heroes to be a part of the series,' says Matt Edwards.

Both numbers near the 12-minute mark but each track portrays a different aesthetic.
Opening with precision drums and crystalline notes, 'Ground Control' makes a nod
towards the hi-tech soul sound of Detroit and drives forward using a sultry bassline, erratic
chords and the occasional icy stab as an array of contrasting sounds operate in unison.

On the flip, a syncopated rhythm lays the foundation for 'Last Communication' whilst a
tantalising melody joins poignant synths, constructing a profound and hypnotising journey.

BEYER & FITZPATRICK TEAM UP FOR HUMAN REASON B/W SIMPLE HAZE FROM BEYER.

Gian's back on LACKRec to supply your record bags with a heavy 4 tracker covering all your Techno and Electro needs. The A-side sees Gian returning to 4/4 territory with two dancefloor friendly cuts to combat the masses of industrial techno. On the flip, Gian provides a dark electro banger before finishing off the EP with another bass heavy chord anthem. You snooze you lose!

Hoarder is the latest project in a long line of collaborations between Andy Butler (Hercules and Love Affair) and multi- media artist Joie Iacono. Building a sonic world sourced from organic, electronic, and found sounds, the two have waded neck deep into noise-oriented, darker territories over the past 3 years in the studio, and just the tip of the iceberg is revealed on this first EP with London based Khemia Records,
While the four tracks definitely nod to 80’s industrial and techno, with Butler’s knack for arrangement and tenure producing music, and their combined years steeped in the culture, the Ep feels inspired by the era rather than replication or straight homage.
The intention to create a complete visual world alongside these musical experiments is very evident in the video for “Tetanus Spike”. Culling from her years as a visual artist, working with under names like David Armstrong, Dike Blair, Annie Sprinkle and Billy Sullivan, Iacono’s nuanced and sometimes brutal take on portraiture and her inherent sense of rhythm with the moving image boldly comes through. The anti-aesthetic and chaos they are investigating most definitely reflects from their shared love of Fluxus and Actionist art, and the power of performance. Ultimately, in an existential moment of fragmentation, unease, and a creeping sense of powerlessness Hoarder’s approach feels right. Rejecting the superficial and longing for lost authenticity, the time to destroy and rebuild has indeed come, and Hoarder can and will further help provoke it’s onset.

Soldiers march through the rain and enter the war zone to the sound of Lokier's dystopian, electrifying body music and acid. Her sound aesthetic perfectly complements that of Pinkman Records, so it was only a matter of time until the Mexico-born, Berlin-based producer joined the label's roster of artists. Watch out, because this record is a loaded gun with 4 bullets, ready to be fired onto the most daring dance floors. Download code included.

Charles Trees. Myth, tall tale, legend of a human being, one of those people who one minute you'll be scouring reddit for obscure content and the next, stepping on stage to casually DJ to thousands of people like “no big whoop” at a French music festival. Charles is unassuming, the kind of person who effortlessly mixes ghettotech into soul for lulz, who samples a speech (/rant) by Funkmaster Flex in an acid track, or rides BMG & Derek Plaslaiko’s “True Story of a Detroit Groove” with Velvet Underground’s “Sister Ray” for 8 minutes straight.

Charles' relationship with electronic music started early. In high school, Dave Shayman (Disco D) introduced Charles to DJing and he was a regular at Dubplate Pressure*– Todd Osborn's now-legendary record store in Ann Arbor. By 1998, he was already playing on raves in Detroit. A year later, he was the first person to show Zach Saginaw (Shigeto) to Ghostly International, arguably altering the course of our lives forever. In the late 2000s, they became label mates on Moodgadget, the record label of Jakub Alexander (Heathered Pearls).

Through out the years, Charles has been a musical mentor (whether DJing, producing or throwing shows) to many, danced at every weekly at every venue in Ann Arbor & Detroit, produced Hip Hop, and fronted a psych rock band. He has released music on Moodgadget (US), Musique Large (FR), Lovemonk (ES), Vanity Press (US) and JFX Lab (FR). Today, between DJing, hosting radio shows and producing new music, Charles regularly throws shows/parties/raves, and hosts a monthly at Deluxx Fluxx.

Beautifully understated and triumphant.
This closer marks the return of Detroit Saxophonist Marcus Elliot (Detroit pt II - PGS 001). His notes dance and soar over a creeping acid line, while driving drums and warm pads effortlessly take you home in this powerful house anthem.

User Experience welcomes young German and living meme, Nils Viktor Voss, or Corroid as the world will know him from now on. Corroid sent me a track a while back for mastering... an absolute face melter. I asked him via the medium of dance if he had any more tracks. Now I cannot get rid of him, he sends stuff all the time, if it's not music it's memes. The only way I am able to deactivate the meme machine is to try and divert his attention elsewhere. So, find him on facebook, meme him until he is unable to function. Thank you.

Joining Corroid on this record are two fucking amazing artists who I admire a great deal; Myler and Jasmine Azarian who both execute their remixes with precise brutality. As for the track names I considered translating for the ignorant English (myself included) then I heard Corroid's flatmate say: "YOU CANNOT TRANSLATE THEM, THIS IS TRUE ART". Well that's bollocks but tbh I don't have time for translations.

Invite's Choice Records starts 2016 with a bang and releases another 4-track EP with 4 different tracks by 4 great artists.
Jeroen Search has the honour of opening the EP with a four to the floor track which gets you with it's sporadic melodramatic sting. Perfect for switching between the more deeper and more straightforward parts of your set. Adam Craft continues with a loop-track which is built around it's powerful and deep bass. Thessaloniki based Endlec is responsible for the first track of the B-side and comes up with a track dominated by it's percussive yet simple drive and a synthy vibe which, together with it's short length, draws you in and sends you off in another direction quite soon. TNTUS closes the EP with a track that fits Invite's style quite well; a drumcomputer-driven track complimented with a chaotic, repetitive synth: madness guaranteed! Another great release by this upcoming label indeed!
