Ellum Black, the new sub-label of Maceo Plex's notorious imprint, focuses on the dark and intellectual side of techno. This second record instalment features Spanish producer Architectural. Following an EP on the main branch of the label in 2017, Juan Rico aka Architectural delivers 3 forward thinking cuts for this record.

Architectural is known for his detailed and magnetic productions and on 'A Girl With No Friends EP' he goes deeper into the hypnotic edge of his soundscape. The first track we hear 'Romanticism Movement' creates a statement for the vocabulary of sounds Rico used for this record such as low frequencies and deep grooves. The title track follows on the B-side with develops on these textures. Closing the trio 'Never Yours, Boy' finishes the EP with another variation of Architectural's romantic techno repertoire.

Returning for his second full-length LP of 2018, DJ Bone steps up once more to his own Subject Detroit imprint to present 'Beyond', a full-length and physical rumination on his own emotive and psychedelic contribution to contemporary techno. Loaded with the dynamics, charisma and widescreen appeal of his finest work, 'Beyond' sees Bone enter a musical state that reflects it's ambitious title, celebrating underground ideals in a style that could only be his own.

The second in a trilogy of albums to be completed in early 2019, 'Beyond' is culled from a sequence of no less than fifty tracks completed by the esteemed Detroit DJ and producer upon returning to his home city in 2017. With it being "unfathomable" to release an LP of that length, Bone has nonetheless captured this wave of creativity and a reconnection with his home city, along with the cathartic sense of soul and energy at the heart of his attitude to dance music.

Across 'Beyond' listeners can sink into an unrelenting sequence of tracks that speak from his experimental, musical and always unexpected mind. LP opener 'Dreamers 7' reaffirms his taste for offbeat electronics shot through with rigid dance floor dynamism; a theme reaffirmed quite literally on the forceful centrepiece, 'With A Vengeance'. Elsewhere, Bone delights in blurring the lines between exotic, futurist ambience on tracks such as 'Techno Aint Techno' and 'Ahhh Life', while further cementing his reputation as master of sheer, unrelenting rhythm on 'True Definition' and 'Rosedale Park'.

A slow burning anthem: the holy grail of all producers. A tune that keeps building and building momentum gradually and naturally To the point crowds singing the bassline back when you drop it. This is the case with Gregor Treshers Goliath. Released February 2015 on Bedrock, its been smouldering ever since. The Frankfurt DJ considers it up there with A Thousand Nights and About A Good Place as one of his most successful tunes in his career so far, its distinctive hooky bass riff capturing moments and imaginations as more and more DJs exploited its unifying charm. Over two years later, Gregor and Bedrock present two precision-tailored remixes that add to the Goliath story. French techno OG Emmanuel Top, a man whose records inspired Gregor to produce in the first place, takes the lead with a 10 minute monolith that doesnt even hint at the riff for the first four minutes. Focusing on the machine funk rhythm of the original and turning it inside out, Top lets it sizzle for as long as possible before suddenly dropping the full musical scope of Goliath on us mid way. Alan Fitzpatrick, a man who doesnt need much of an introduction to fans of mordern Techno, also subverts the original in an equally remarkable way. Allowing himself to be taken in a whole new direction by the pads, a new topline and is added to create an entirely new experience that still instantly brings home the original tones and feels of Goliath. Remixes that build on the original and take it to entirely new pastures: The momentum continues.

Now he delievers four diverse Tracks that hailing on Side-A from electro ("The Return") to some kind of New Beatish Territory ("Higher Level") while the B-Side takes us on a tour of his own version of the EBM-Electroish Track "Enter Mars" and "Circle of Power".

Picking up where they left off three years ago, Modern Heads, the much-respected collaboration between Gianluca Meloni and Dino Sabatini, are back with a dynamic and intriguing four track EP. The duo go straight in here with the club-ready Athena. Throughout this track, tight percussive elements wind in and around one another, creating an ever-changing rhythm that you can only just hold onto. Under this, tense synths pulse away, producing an opaque and insular atmosphere. Next up, Eumaeus lightens the mood somewhat, providing clarity with a distinct opening drum pattern. This mood doesn't last long though, as indiscernible, haunting vocals begin to echo in the distance, gradually moving closer and further in the mix as sharp pads swoosh either side. Side B of the record opens with the deepest and longest track of the EP, Eurycleia. Simple yet unrelenting drums frame this hypnotic sci-fi episode, through which otherworldly screeches and rumbles reverberate over the twinkling sounds of machines. Eurycleia's atmosphere continues straight into the final track, Laertes Theme. This beatless piece takes Eurycleia's exploratory mood and extrapolates it over five and a half minutes, resulting in what feels like the perfect soundtrack to a glacial expedition in alien territory. As an EP this is a complete and coherent package; a perfect extension to Modern Heads previous work. The sound palette is familiar, yet refined, developed upon and taken further. The Old Beggar is undeniably worth the wait for anyone with a taste for the extraterrestrial.

Future child of Paula Temple's Noise Manifesto, Decon/Recon puts strength and artivism into a new idea of scene. The first Decon/Recon release is planned on 20 April 2015, both vinyl in limited edition and digital. The brand new project is based on a new series of electronic dance music releases presenting a unique and libertarian approach to collaboration, production and dance floor action. It converges artists' samples in an open archive which is reassembled in four different tracks by the artists themselves. This project wants to put identity into a crisis by giving a collective authoriality and by letting all hierarchies collapse into a collective resonance who dares to become.
Decon/Recon is not just about new forms of self representation, the deconstructive process of the "artist" status in terms of superiority or the elaboration of new politically active business models but about composition as a scene and quality dance music at its best. The release will de/compose four future pioneers who responds to the names of Aquarian Jugsa new alias from Jam Rostron aka Planningtorock, rRoxymore, Oni Ayhun and Paula Temple herself as Jaguar Woman. The Releases' paratextual structure will play the same game. All artists shall be credited on the cover without authorial connections with the title of their own tracks exposing the listener, reader, dancer in to taking active part in the whole process.

In keeping with the eagerly awaited start of their Odyssey event series at Fabric London, the two Mallorcans Pig&Dan return to their roots, namely Cocoon Recordings, where their 2005 debut 'Oh Yeah' signalled the start of their success story. Moving towards faster bpms and with some fresh faces Cong Burn's fourth 12" is a step into new ground for the young collective. A1 sees St Petersburg's Flaty follow up his Gost Zvuk 2xLP with some twisted electro. At A2 Lack shifts gears to an early doors stomper. Chekov's B1 showcases the Leeds producer's hypnotic side. Rotating Frames is the new EP for Pole Group by our very own duo Exium. Four tracks of modern and obscure techno, fuelled by heavy sub-bass action.

'Monopoles' opens fire with massive bass frequencies and continuous hat lines, joined by an obsessive sequence that mutates while it moves around the arrangement.

The approach of 'Magnetic Flux' is deeper than the previous track, starting with flanged sequences and a subtle bass drum. Bell-like sounds grow from zero until drones and atmospheres appear from the slight breakdown.

'Rotating Frames' goes straight to the point and rises the tempos a bit, continues with the flanged and phased sequences and relies on a more percussive vibe.

'Early life' is the last number here: robotic FM sounds, effected noise hits, continuous synth lines and a constantly growing structure.

A partnership of epic proportions is about to go down. Josh Wink, an artist known for crafting some of the finest house and techno tracks of all time is joining forces with Boysnoize Records, leader on the global scene for over a decade. Tying your techno in knots, Josh Wink's 'Shoelaces EP' is set for release.

Josh Wink is a master at Acid Techno (Just listen to classics like 'Don't Laugh' and 'Lumpy Oatmeal') so he's right in his wheelhouse on the Acid Mix of 'Shoelaces.' Throbbing electro rhythms and those signature acid squelches define this mix, with the notch turned up another degree on the circuit board for the Dub Mix.The package follows with a cut from Finnish producer Mono Junk, who offers a more stripped down take on 'Shoelaces.' Mono Junk's remix is raw yet no less in tense, providing the EP with its dark corner. Out of the cultural hive of Los Angeles follows Truncate. For the all out banging, hammering techno fans, Truncate's mix is a winning bet. Peak time, over the edge and bathed in acid.

Maceo Plex inaugurates his MPLX label with a two-tracker of his own material; as Mutant Romance solidifies the ethos of the imprint - a platform for future releases, solely from the man himself. Ever since his landmark debut album Life Index on Crosstown Rebels, the Barcelona-via-Miami artist has never wavered from the constant momentum - establishing his Ellum Audio imprint in 2011 as well as his Ellum Black imprint earlier this year, the artist already explored different avenues of techno, electro and whatever lied in the crevices in-between. However, with this first release on MPLX - Maceo Plex stretches his sonic identity even further with a double-dose of warm, wistful dancefloor bumpers that will last long after its first hearing.

'Mutant Romance' starts things off with a groovy rhythm, pacing itself justly between a deluge of affable chord progressions, rightly leading to a breakdown that's just as vibrant and virtuous as you'd expect from a peak-time surprise from the man himself. The B-side, 'Mutant Quazars' - entrenches itself with an energetic build-up; gearing towards an apex that is surprising in its reveal - with lush pads, enigmatic melodies and a beat that won't give up on whoever's caught onto it. Arriving 2 years since their 'Easy Prey' 12', OVR's 3rd studio release is defined by its spacious mixing and layered detail in three powerful dancers plus two handy locked grooves.
'The World Remade' is a proper juggernaut, rolling thru pelting percussion on 18 wheeler bassline with a pile of jazz mags on the passenger seat. It could easily go on twice as long, but there's two locked grooves isolating the crunchy bass and gritted drums for DJs who want to properly roll out.
The B-side's 'Reversing Into Tomorrow' tucks into more aerodynamic, stripped down formation, before they cut loose with foul waves of tarry synth and noise scree in the grim roil of 'New Departures' - more of this, please!

One Year later the italian duo Toms Due come back to Etruria , this time with Magma' , groovy techno Ep composed by two banging original tracks and Mr. Ambivalent and Mr Cosmin trg remixes. The second original is Stratum characterized by a power melodic chord and an energetic groove. The mysterious Troy returns on DR with his second EP ever released. It seems like the perfect time for Troy's Northbound EP; 4 very distinctive, cold, yet beautifully designed pieces, which perfectly underline the atmosphere this time of year. On the A side, detail and evolution are the foundation of the lengthy 'BH3', which also futures a hard hitting remix by Takaaki Itoh from Japan.
The B side features two more melodic cuts. 'Archer' stresses the journey into the cold, with it's synth work nearing dissonance, while remaining in complex and admirable harmony. The title track 'Northbound' is a more straight forward loop, which builds up to something rather chilly and unheard before.

German meets the Detroit Code

New York native Caiazzo releases 'The Devotion' on his and P.Leone's E-Missions imprint featuring three dusky techno tracks and a remix from White Material co-founder Young Male.

Much like P.Leone, Caiazzo's debut release (entitled 'The Dredge') landed on Work Them Records; Spencer Parker's label that's featured names such as Radio Slave, Rodhad, DJ Richard and Ryan Elliot. Launching E-Missions earlier this year, the pair continue their high quality output by following up two releases from P.Leone with three uncompromising original cuts from Caiazzo himself.

Rolling percussion drives '917 (Sportmixxx)' whilst intoxicating drones operate throughout, making way for 'Lifeform' with its layers of thick synthesised sounds that build on top of a relentless drum composition with subtle but effective transitions. 'Godbody' offers a stripped back approach to techno with an intricate percussive composition that allows a deep low-end and a hypnotic perc to take control.

Finally, White Material label boss Young Male provides his take on 'Godbody' where bass hits combine with haunting atmospheres and warped rhythms, closing the release with style.

New York's P. Leone is back with the second release on his newly launched E-MISSIONS imprint featuring Work Them Records founder Spencer Parker on remix duties.Born and raised in Brooklyn, where he discovered the legendary Storm Rave parties run by Frankie Bones and Adam X, P. Leone cut his teeth DJing in the Lower East side of Manhattan before making techno himself. Before long the producer dropped his first two releases on Work Them Records, joining a roster spanning Radio Slave, Spencer Parker, Young Male, Anetha and Physical Therapy. E-MISSIONS was then launched in early 2017, acting as a platform for co-founders P. Leone and CAIAZZO with more exciting artists soon to be announced.'Discipline Signals' is dark and robust from start to finish, with 'Functions of Discipline 1' inaugurating the package with resonating kicks, trippy elements and industrial synths. 'Functions of Discipline 2' follows a similar aesthetic but heads into a deeper direction with its cavernous atmospherics and glitch inspired effects, making way for 'Laced' with its sinister drones and tantalising melodies. Spencer Parker then remixes 'Laced', concluding matters with rugged drums, energetic hi-hats and a rumbling low-end.

The California-born, London-based producer Rrose is well known for taking dancefloor techno into the uncharted depths of experimentalism and psychedelia while also paying homage to artists of the 20th century avant-garde such as Marcel Duchamp, James Tenney, and Eliane Radigue.

"Beware of Shells" (the first solo Rrose release of 2018) is a diverse five track EP that goes to extremes of both aggression and tranquility while remaining strangely cohesive. The EP opens with machine gun bass drums that slowly disintegrate into a swirl of undulating tones and ghostly resonances. Next comes "Incisors" - the most solidly dancefloor track of the EP - which establishes a primal, skeletal rhythmic base upon which snake-like analog synth lines interweave in unpredictable ways. "The Swelling" follows with a short, sparse study in feedback, bent into uneasy melodic patterns. Side B opens with a previously unreleased 2013 remix of the Los Angeles band Deathday, and is perhaps Rrose's most overtly "industrial" track to date, with buzzing, dissonant synth tones that sound somewhere between a foghorn and a distorted guitar. The EP finishes on a contemplative note with "Pecking Order," a microtonal, ritualistic affair conjuring the spirit of Wendy Carlos's little-known masterpiece "Beauty in the Beast."

Art-aud is thrilled to present you a big thing. Its been in the work for a while, a project collaboration with the historical Italian label, Interactive Test. Founded in '91 from the crazy minds of the two brothers Franco and Riccardo Falsini, it was one of the first real underground imprints to born in Italy and to propose an innovative sound at the time, that soon after exploded all over the world more and more. With almost 40 releases done in a few years, the two brothers have really created an empire, a stronghold in the hills of the belle Florence. Six tunes of six different names, and different vibes, taken from different eps (all rare to find now), nicely remastered from the source files by Alden Tyrell.

The Outer Limits sees ASC returning to further exploration, featuring four in-depth aural excursions to the deepest recesses of space and beyond. It has been bubbling for almost four years now inside the walls of a basement in the small-town idyll of Salzburg. Word gets around about ecstatic nights in an intimate atmosphere in the Heizkeller location of the cultural association FREAKADELLE. The monthly events held by the club culture collective, which formed in 2011, have long since become known beyond city and state borders, and so, national as well as international guest artists would frequently pay visits to Mozart town in the last years. Following the club members' wish to maintain relations to the artists beyond the fleeting transience of a night in the club, this release aims at strengthening and cementing these interpersonal ties. The compilation includes tracks by Hüseyin Evirgen aka MAGNA PIA (Cassegrain), Institut fuer Zukunft resident PERM, techno pioneer PATRICK PULSINGER and Pop theorist Didi Neidhart aka LOW PROFILER.

A very bold move which will undoubtedly have farreaching consequences for the future of future dance music. Recommended if you like buying records.

The thing is, it seems that Succhiamo's scrapyard has been animated by Bill Plympton : in place of dogs and cats, it's a lew Pink Panther chasing a spaced-out Scooby-Doo on Dolore Dentro or Stai Male. Happily championing bad taste, the two musicians even venture into the illegitimate territories of italo-pop missed hits, shaped for lipsync performances on Rai Uno with the nagging Que Pena.

As we're getting close to the middle of the record, the music gets openly punkier, climaxing with the explicitly
named Desiderio Di Violenza, brushing past 200 BPM. While the inevitable silence following the last notes of Que
Pena temporarily puts an end to the pleasant nightmare that is Mani In Fuoco, the figures - somehow similar to
those inhabiting the world of Fritz the Cat - that Succhiamo insidiously inserts into the listener's head don't fade
away: they patiently wait for the duo's pulsing drum machines and the saturated synths to wake up again and set
them in motion for another ride.

'Through The Darkness' is a masterclass in darkened techno grooves, with each one of the four tracks managing to show off Honorio's skill as a producer and just why he is firing on all cylinders.The release kicks off with 'Walking Shadows', a track that has been a key part of Adam Beyer's sets at the tail end of 2016 and in to the new year.
The atmospheric 'Out For Blood' rounds off the A side, which is loaded with vintage rave stabs and weighty basslines - This one is meant to played in dark and sweaty rooms.
kicking off the B side the title track 'Through The Darkness' is much more of a stripped back cut, jam-packed with a haunting vocal hook, driving basslines and slick drums.
Rounding the release off Desolate' is another hard-hitter, managing to perfectly balance that signature Honorio groove and pounding drums that adds depth to his productions.

Fresh from a packed summer of Ibizan parties Darius Syrossian is back on Hot Creations with his pumping Danzer EP featuring a remix from the prolific remixer Adesse Versions.

Darius explains that the idea for Danzer was born out of frustration with current music sounding the same. Inspired by a Floorplan Boiler Room set he wanted to make a track 'that has the energy of techno, some funk flavours and also heavily disco influenced. It became a firm favourite at my Amnesia residency with DO NOT SLEEP'.

Danzer is an utterly insatiable peak-time cut with a dizzying drop, powerful female vocal hook and scintillating strings. The techno tool version does what it says on the tin, adding an almighty bassline that reverberates throughout. Initially beginning life as a vinyl edits project, Adesse Versions has gone on to have releases on revered labels including Razor N Tape and Delusions Of Grandeur. On his version he flips the track on its head, taking it on an altogether different route, layering extra percussive pads and womping synths.

2018 has been a huge year for Darius Syrossian. He began a new residency at Ibiza's infamous Amnesia, alongside big names including Cassy, Martin Buttrich and Alan Fitzpatrick. No stranger to the White Isle, he's also held down residencies at some of the island's most prestigious venues. Syrossian has had releases signed to impressive imprints from Moon Harbour to 8Bit and Get Physical to We Are The Brave. This year also saw Darius begin his radio show on Rinse FM, with the imminent launch of his own label, Mozy Muzik, still to come.

Play It Say It welcome New York artist David Berrie for a first EP on the label and one that offers three dynamite pieces of punchy, high impact and inventive house music.

Raised amongst the diverse culture of NYC's nightlife, Berrie started sneaking into clubs as a youngster and since then has risen through the ranks to have now played iconic rooms like Output NY and DC-10 Ibiza. Fusing his musical history with other genres to create his own, unique style of house and techno, David has taken his passion to the studio and served up essential tunes on Hot Creation and Cuttin' Headz.

Opening the account is 'Revolution', seven superbly programmed minutes of slick and involving house beats and knotted bass. It's a restless, body shaking track to make the floor move with futuristic synths fleshing it out and bringing a vital sense of machine soul.

The equally compelling 'JB Loop' is another dynamic bit of electronic house music. Rubbery drums bobble and bounce about with wild computer sounds and infectious bass all ramping up the energy levels and making for a standout track.
Last but not least, 'Rear End' is a supple, intricately designed track with slippery synths, spinning hi hats and bass surges all wrapping around each other to make for real minimal funk. It's a track that oozes Detroit vibes and cannot fail to sweep up the floor.

These are three characterful and masterfully produced cuts of high-class dancing music.

LF RMX arrives as new non-profit platform which will share edits and remixes originally made by Len Faki for playing in his DJ sets. What began as small technical tweaks has since grown into passionate work, the edits eventually becoming an important staple to the special feel and flow of the Figure head's well-renowned approach to DJing.

The series' first release features the rework of DJ Bone's 2016 slammer 'Black Patterns', whose heavily rolling nature the Hardspace Mix builds upon. Keeping the oldschool drums' weighty feel, Len Faki gives his a edit a more compact shell and punchy edge. The centerpiece piano stabs also reign over this version, albeit rising in a glimming, glistening fashion, making it a definite choice for this summer. The Hardspace Tool on the other side steers clear of piano and vocal, rather developing a lively sequence of unmistakenly Len Faki-styled, vigorous percussive permutations.

As this project is very much a matter of the heart, and as much about honoring the orignal artists' work as it is about sharing the edits with a wider audience, there will be no monetary gain involved. Instead all the proceeds will be donated fully to Straßenkinder e.V., a Berlin organization fighting against child poverty

VH001 is the first vinyl release on Hybrasil's self titled imprint, the four track package features 2 exclusive vinyl only tracks. This release also features a track that has featured exclusively in Hybrasil live sets for the past three years. The track in question is 'Sentinel' which also featured heavily in Richie Hawtin's live shows during this time.

Hybrasil has had a career defining year, performing with Carl Cox & Adam Beyer on the Amnesia Terrace with One Night Stand and closing Ireland's Electric Picnic Festival on the iconic Anachronica stage.

* A leading protagonist of a nascent, more techno indebted sound in the 07/08 dubstep era, alongside peers such as Martyn, 2562 & Appleblim, Peverelist released a series of tracks that helped shape and define that scene. Alongside 'Infinity is Now' (Tectonic), Circling (w/ Appleblim - Skull Disco) and 'The Grind on Punch Drunk to name a few, Bluez was a standout track fusing melancholic Detroit style synths with the dub-wise aesthetics of the UK underground. Peverelist has since explored these themes further with his pioneering Livity Sound label. This release revisits the roots of his sound a decade on.

Whereas a darker and more complex techno sound, alive with trademark Broom percussion, identifying with the current techno club scene can be heard spilling out of his second track '77S3'

Carl Finlow also presents us with a little gem of a track, surprising us once again, this time with an electro remix of 'Mercury' in true Silicon Scally style. The resources he puts to use define him as a serious producer, successfully maintaining significance and groove whilst distorting the soundscape by overlaying the sinister rhythm with captivating fettles and shapes of sound, the end result being literally extraordinary.

This EP makes for a must have in any techno sympathiser's collection, as RS17 is an all round excellent and authentic production, made with lots of care and attention.

Scenario founder Sebo K returns to Rekids with four inspiriting cuts titled 'Stories We Tell Ourselves' EP.

Berliner Sebo K has put out nothing but quality records since his production debut in 2002, establishing a solid reputation for high standard house music. However, recent years have seen Sebo demonstrate just how versatile he can be as an artist, releasing on Bass Culture, helming his respected Scenario label, not to mention his acclaimed 'Patience' LP which dropped on Rekids in 2017. Returning to Radio Slave's imprint, 'Stories We Tell Ourselves' EP is another breath of fresh air from the imaginative artist, returning to a label roster spanning artists like Nocow, Swayzak, P.Leone, Tripeo, and more.

'Nebula' suitably reflects the given name, offering an otherworldly experience integrating elevating polyphonic swirls and floating electro hallmarks before the beatless 'Sous Les Étoiles' generates an uplifting atmosphere through deep melodies and delicate textures. 'Stories We Tell Ourselves' displays powerfully, emotive arpeggios layered over delightfully, stripped back breaks, leading into 'Pink Moon' which maintains the euphoric ambience as ethereal keys, angelic sound design and galvanising vocals operate throughout.

The first installment of Milan-based label AWRY comes from the creator and manager himself, Wrong Assessment: the Italian producer offers four original tracks perfectly representing the multiple facets of his sound and outlining the label aesthetics, consisting in deepness, hypnosis and minimalism.

Abstand is a duo project by Martin Brugger and Simon Popp, both members of the Munich-based jazz group Fazer. On their debut 12 Opek they provide off-kilter polyrhythmic percussion psychedelia, layering live and unedited drum tracks blended with sparse electronics that add a subtle Middle Eastern tint. On the B side we're treated with a remix by Stefan Schwander aka Harmonious Thelonious. The Salon des Amateurs denizen serves us a pulsating and more club-leaning take showing why he can always be trusted with turning live percussion into bold, hypnotic jams for the perceptive clubgoer. The Munich-Duesseldorf axis has once again been proven fertile and we will likely hear more coming out of that connection.

"I met Marcell at a gig I played at Karlstorbahnhof in Heidelberg earlier this year, he was serving beers behind the bar all night, it was a fun but not so busy party. The club shut the doors early and we were holed up in this old train station-come-club having a few drinks into the early hours. We sat down, chewed the fat and bonded over Jungle (and UK music in general). Marcell's buddy Phillip was insistent on me checking out his tunes through a small little bluetooth speaker!!! and these sorts of scenarios never quite play out how you'd like them too right! This one did!" Patrick Conway

Eris Harmonia is the new EP from acclaimed Dublin-via-Berlin duo Lakker. It is an investigation of disparate styles and sounds reflecting different reactions and emotional responses to the current world climate of chaos and uncertainty. After finishing Struggle & Emerge Lakker retreated to the studio to find fresh inspiration. In their words: 'We talked of needing a black space or empty white page in which to experiment with sound, genre and structure freely, without expectation and without time constraints or release deadlines.'

Eris Harmonia formed in this empty space. Disparate tracks gradually formed as a cohesive whole - fractitious strands of a larger piece. They seemed to resonate with a similar theme, a theme that mirrors and builds on that of Struggle & Emerge - inner and outer chaos and harmony. Disorder, and the search for a pathway through it. And joining this big end of year party, enter stage left, Roman Flu¨gel, who delivers an absolutely stellar remix of 'Vista'. Meaty synths and clattering 909 drums are doused in futuristic Italo disco vibes for
'Outrider', whilst a winning combo of breakbeats and acid affected bass provide the backbone of the simply gargantuan 'Vista'. Roman Flu¨gel's interpretation of the title track brings the break to the fore, playfully teasing out the acidic sounds and surging strings for another truly memorable remix that we've come to expect from Mr. Flu¨gel. Closing the EP, 'Poly Pop' delivers a vivid and bright burst of melody over clanking
percussion and sturdy beats, filled with 'end of the night' optimism that's become Man Power's forte.

the 3 originals explore some warm synthesizer soundscapes on this one. Patrick Krieger shows his affinity to intense atmospheric pads and notes while s-tek and ad.lib deliver some weird bell-like hooklines. The additional remix by Lakker adds some deepness to the package.

Jack Roland pulls apart the control mechanisms of the club environment and the way this living and breathing installation can be a tool of elevation or suppression. Using club sounds as instruments for this idea, 'Control / Applications' is a split release born out of Amsterdam's warehouse scene, fusing together electro matrix rhythms, IDM, with warped hums and breaks used by dancers and performers heading up the rave. With a track on our Future Works III comp last year, this is his debut record on the label: a release challenging superstructures buried among the sweat particles of the floor.

US born and meanwhile in Berlin residing Kevin McHugh aka Ambivalent presents his Cocoon Recordings single debut. Ambivalence seems to the be the musical direction here. Daylights is a sheer technomonster, musclepacked and full of dark detroit flavour but the used vocal samples and the harmonic synthstrings can't hide the magic touch of Daylights". Although the massive techno bassline is the star of this track we are sure it will find its way into the sets of many house DJs, too. In contrast to that Swung Out appears way more like pure techno and cannot be filed as house at all. We are hypnotized by the shuffled rim shots and hi hats and Ambivalent drives this one straight through the dub universe. Techno is the destination and the dark vibe of Swung Out makes it a perfect after hour weapon.

Camea's latest release on her imprint Neverwhere pays homage to her hometown Seattle's original underground rave warehouse, NAF Studios, where she went dancing in the late 90s and began her journey that ultimately landed her in Berlin. Also where Nirvanna's 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' video was filmed (and ironically now a Catholic publishing house), the hedonistic venue is legendary to those who picked up rave flyers scattered on the streets of Seattle and took a chance on an emerging new electronic music scene. Both originals reflect the raw warehouse vibe of this era, and Matrixxman and Markus Suckut have weighed in with heavy remixes. Markus puts his signature on the NAF 97 original with a deep space atmospheric techno banger, and Matrixxman reworks the original 303 recordings in Jack U, sending it into another dimension - and even further.

PSSU are Richard Fearless and Daniel Avery. Long time friends, they first formed their relationship whilst working out of Andrew Weatherall's legendary 'Rotters Golf Club' where Fearless made 'Trans-Love Energies' and Avery did a lot of Drone Logic. The two are now studio neighbours in Leamouth on the River Thames. They were drawn to the collaboration by a mutual appreciation of the other's music.
