The 12th chapter on Eerie Records is a 2 tracker by label owner Marco Shuttle himself. With the return to a more groovy and floor-friendly take than the abstract sound of his recently released LP the release maintains nonetheless the classic signiture deep landscapy approach the artist has made us used to with his production. Tribal rhythmics, 808 grooves, underlayed pads and some slightly middle eastern reminiscent sonic elements make it for a record that although still on the leffield side, is 100% techno. Anyone who loved Sing Like a bird will probably find this one very appealing. A very classic Marco Shuttle one indeed!

LumièresLaNuit (LLN) is glad to introduce to you to Samochai (LLNOFF004), 4th release of its OFF series by Bremen-based music composers and DJs Massud Matin & Smisou.

Samochai EP presents two different atmospheres that LumièresLaNuit and its OFF Series are particularly fond of: deep- and dub-techno. Indeed, whereas Massud Matin take us out of ourselves with the deep, atmospheric and mind-blowing beats of Zal, Smisou imm­­erses us in his musical world with the dubby, cadenced and aquatic beats of Chanj.

Massud Matin & Smisou celebrate the same music since 2012. The beginning of their collaboration was marked by a couple of digital releases like Smisou's remix of Massud Matin's Come On (2015) and his Keemun EP (2016) — in collaboration with Miynn — on Samani that also includes a remix by Massud Matin. More recently, Massud Matin & Smisou released Parand de Muth on Brosh records.

Finally, in December 2017, Massud Matin brought out his first vinyl EP Like You (TPRL03) on Romanian label Tupiar Records.

The new shtum comes from Planet Underground, a veteran Dresden resident who already contributed to the fact that the city was called "Little Detroit from the East" back then in the middle of the nineties. Since then, he has constantly been producing stripped to the bones tracks mainly for his own Elektrokuehlung label in his legendary place of retreat in Dresden-Striesen. Recorded between 1996 and 2010, the four tracks oscillate between raw Acid, classic Basement House and artful distortion. Bouncing and scrappy stuff at the same time. BXL003 is the third release of the artist-run Brussels based label BXL.This third release by Simon Halsberghe features a collaboration with Sagat (real name Wiet Lengeler), who previously released on the Brussels' label VLEK and had his music included in the Fabric mixes of both Ben Klock and Joris Voorn. The track is called THE SET-UP and is a relentless sawtooth rave tune that finds it's balance between the heydays of Belgian Techno and more contemporary 'Hi-Fi' attitudes towards functional yet idiosyncratic dance tracks.On the b-side SPACE TOM sounds is a deeper and more hypnotic trip with lush broad pads that provide a space for the mind as well as sonic pressure on the body. The last track, SNARED, takes things into breakbeat territory. With razor sharp snares and a pulsating baseline this track lives somewhere in the Venn diagram overlap between Rave, Front 242 and an air raid siren going off.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Simon Halsberghe lives and works in Brussels, the capital of Belgium as well as the centre of Europe. Living in such a culturally diverse place has its distinct influence on Simon Halsberghe. For him music isn't limited to a single function and hence he doesn't want to limit himself with just one type of sound. He has composed music for theatre. He has won an award for best Original Soundtrack with the music for the animated short 'Kitten Instinct' by Liesbet Eeckman at the film festival of Angers, France. Simon Halsberghe also works as a music consultant for fashion brands, his clients include Gianni Versace and Christopher Kane. Next to the more traditional of 'DJ' gig he sometimes makes bespoke music for the collections.With BXL he wanted to create a platform for the wide range of music he creates. And because his previous work for theatre and film, as well as his more ambient compositions have found their respective homes, he chose to release some of his Techno tracks first on BXL.Previously Simon Halsberghe has released music as Pitch & Hold (on Love Triangle Music), Simon Hold (on VLEK) and HABERGEON (on Gentle Tapes). Now he has opted to use his proper name instead of a pseudonym.

Made during his travels in Paris, London and Antwerp, the 20 year old Siwei presents the first outing on his own namesake imprint in the form of a three-part series. Each part showcasing his love for endless fidgeting with his modular rack and combining these cinematic and eerie soundscapes with off-kilter drum patterns.

This time we bring you two irresistible cuts of banging, acid driven
techno by Yokushe and Dave Tarrida, an atmospheric acid journey from Wata Igarashi, and a funky acid tech tool by Shin Nishimura.

A new label and a new artist throwing their hat into the techno ring with a sideways reference to A Certain Ratio. Do The Du clearly mean business, and waste no time in laying down the law with the rowdy snarl of "Verses", a punky slice of lo-fi techno from the gutter. "Senses" is a more tightly wound, looped up affair for the most nerve-jangled of dancer, while "Sauro" makes mincemeat of the house music blueprint with a wonderfully distorted twist on the genre. "Aicee" gets the whole B-side to trance out on a submerged, throbbing 303 burner and subtle drum jack that harks right back to the early days of Phuture.

The next release on moreaboutmusic comes from one of Chicago house's best kept secrets, often name checked by legends such as Mike Dunn, Marshall Jefferson, Glenn Underground and Tyree Cooper to name a few.A DJ and Producer, Hugo grew up during Chicago's heyday, at one point living with Mike Dunn and Tyree Cooper, where they would spend their days producing and recording tracks on the 808, 303 and 909, along with any other equipment they could get their hands on.
The 'On to another time EP' showcases Hugo's talents, giving you two straight to the jugular acid tracks with 'In, Out & In (Part 1)' and 'In, Out & In (Part 2)' with the flip seeing the mood shifting slightly with the deeper vibe of 'On to another time', the EP finishes up with a cut up disco joint 'The beat goes' creating a solid ep and an excellent introduction to Hugo H.

Two new tracks launching the new Irvine Welsh book "Dead Man's Trousers" - the final installment in the Trainspotting series. The A1 is a hypnotic acid work-out with a trademark sound produced straight out of Paranoid London's studio complete with Renton's musings over the top. On the flip you're sucked into a dark tunnel of Renton's mind, rocked by a chance encounter with Begbie. Haunting pads intensify the monologue before a pulsating heartbeat of a kick comes through underneath.

Fresh from his 'Let's Roll EP' on Radio Slave's Rekids, Hopeworks curator Lo Shea further cements his status as a true innovator of the UK underground with the 'Iterations EP' on Dusky's 17 Steps.

Leading the charge, 'Iterations' is 8 dark twisted minutes of tripped-out melodic techno that will sweat the walls of warehouses from London to Tokyo - drawing a lineage from The Omen, Atomic Jam and The Orbit through to Berghain, De School and - indeed - Hopeworks itself.

On the remix, Stockholm's Peder Mannerfelt takes it down an industrial rabbit hole of terror-core synths, rave sirens and sonic paranoia.

Across rest of EP, Lo Shea flexes his sonic diversity with 'Ornithurae' offering an intruiging mix of bruising bass, twitchy layer loaded percussion and sinister soundscapes - somewhere between d&b don Dillinja circa '96, early Claude Von Stroke, Radioactive Man and fellow Sheffield legend Oris Jay.

Argentinian producer Sebastian Lopez a.k.a. Flug has just finished his work on his first full-length album.
The longplayer will be entitled 'In Safe Hiding' and will be released on the German techno imprint Nachtstrom Schallplatten on limited coloured double-vinyl, digipack-cd and digital format.
On 'In Safe Hiding' Flug, who already released on respected labels such as Soma, CLR, Sleaze and various others in the past, is showing a new and much more experimental side of himself. The album is a highly diverse journey through minimalistic soundscapes, in which warm, melancholic synth leads meet well balanced, minimalistic techno and ambient grooves.

Raul Mezcolanza: As a DJ has been resident at Florida135 and Elrow for 5 years. Nowadays he plays in clubs and festivals around the world . As a producer, since his first vinyl release in 2005 and more than 400 tracks on the market his tracks usually get listed on top 10 sellers stores as Beatport. At the end of 2013 Raul makes another step on his career and started to edit sample libraries with his own brand: 48KHZ and starts his own record label Hot Key.

Khat: As a producer he combines the sides of scoring composer, electronic music producer (with tracks supported by international high renowned artists), arranger and since 2016 he keeps the electronic music production department of the legendary Plastic Academy in Barcelona. Behind the decks after more than 15 years of experience Khat has been playing in clubs like Florida 135, Under, Macarena, Elrow...

Clash Lion is a mix of three personalities; Shall Ocin, TERR and Daniel Watts. Three artists with different musical backgrounds merging forces to create a truly eclectic and open-minded label. In October 2017 Honey Dijon was commissioned to take part in the Smirnoff 'We're Open' campaign, aiming to promote inclusive night time culture and celebrate nightlife's ability to transcend gender boundaries and prejudice. As well as appearing in the 'We're Open' TV commercial, Honey was asked to record her take on the initiative's ethos for creating positive change, making dance music culture a more open-minded and socially inclusive space. What resulted was a rework of 'Queen of Disco' Sylvester's 'Stars' featuring vocals by singer-songwriter Sam Sparro, who she collaborated with previously on her album 'The Best of Both Worlds'. Now being released on limited edition blue vinyl via Classic Music Company, with breathtaking artwork from assume vivid astro focus who also supplied cover artwork for the album, the entire proceeds from the release will be donated to LGBT Foundation.

Created with parts recorded especially for the 'We're Open' advert, 'Stars' (Disco Version), produced with the help of Classic head Luke Solomon and studio partner Lance Desardi, pops Sylvester's spangled party-starter directly into 2018. Victor Ruiz is one of the hottest names in underground electronic music right now, and this 12' on Oliver Huntemann's always-reliable Senso imprint gives a pretty clear reason why. The Brazilian DJ and producer has been popping up all over the world in the last few years, and his string of amazing releases on labels such as Electric Ballroom and Sudbeat have cemented his reputation. This 12-inch is testament to that reputation - made up of four tracks of uncompromising, precise techno. Side A brings us Red Lights - a spacey journey to the heart of the dancefloor - tweaked and shaped for maximum effect on big room sound-systems. Dutchman Bart Skils steps up on remix duties to provide a sick Motor Speedway mix- somewhere between the Krautrock influences of Kraftwerk and the sleek techno of Detroit's 2nd wave. The flip brings us Nevermind - Victor Ruiz doing what he does best - exploring track dynamics within a perfectly developed journey - including an unsettling and trippy vocal that lifts the track even further towards the stars. Label boss Oliver Huntemann stops by to provide the remix - stipping the track down to his signature sound - deep and streamlined, yet full of emotion.

BleeD's second release of the year is a fourth solo outing for label head Volte-Face, following up last year's incendiary 'You Bury Me' 12". In classic BleeD fashion, the EP features three atmospheric peak-time techno tracks, an ambient piece and an artist-curated remix by rising Japanese star Wata Igarashi, a name synonymous with some of the finest off-centre techno labels, including Semantica, Time To Express and Midgar.

The analog beat-grinder from Japan, Miclodiet, is back on Genesa Records with his distinctive, gnarly
sound. Yasunobu usually releases his material on his own cassette-only label, Sludge -Tapes, but during the last 2 years, you were able to see him appear on GENESA005V alongside JoeFarr, VSK & the label boss Scalameriya or on our digital only division with a complete EP, remixed by Martyn Hare, Alhek & Forest People. For his debut vinyl EP, he prepared some stripped down, ultra minimalistic techno stompers infused with recognizable hooks and drones. Self Reflektion welcomes the talented Den Bosch-based producer Remco Beekwilder to their label, delivering his debut release 'Basement Tools EP' as the fourth addition to their catalog. After kicking off the year with releases by Wheelman and General Ludd, we're very pleased to announce that Naum Gabo completes our recent trilogy of releases from Glasgow based artists. Alongside Ivan Smagghe, it's no secret that Optimo have been a huge influence around these parts and having released Ivan's Smagghe & Cross project on Belters last year, it's a huge honour to work with Naum Gabo - the production partnership of Jonnie Wilkes (JG Wikes of Optimo) and James Savage (Mastering Engineer for Optimo Music).Fittingly enough, Naum Gabo played live at the first ever Optimo related parties we attended at the Sub Club back in 2005 and Jonnie's influential and supportive presence has been felt over the years as we started to become more involved in the Glasgow scene and as the label developed.
So it didn't require much thought to do this release before we had even heard these new Naum Gabo tracks...they are absolute slammers of the highest order! Really big release, bringing to our minds the likes of Errorsmith.Belters is a new club-focussed label brought to you by Huntleys + Palmers.

Scuba continues his uncompromising SCB moniker with 'Caibu', a twelve track LP of cerebral techno, darkened disco and broken beats out April 13th on Hotflush.

Paul Rose's career has enjoyed a unique trajectory that affords his reputation as one of the scene's most forward thinking artists, label heads and promoters. Always the risk taker, his Hotflush imprint is credited as a key force behind the evolution of bass music, whilst his ground-breaking booking policy for the sub:stance night at Berghain opened up one of the worlds most revered venues to new sounds and musical possibility. Today he continues to challenge the status quo of electronic music through a packed touring schedule, various artistic projects of his own and a weekly radio show platforming new material.

'Caibu' is his first album as SCB and incorporates material from the 'Below The Line' and 'Old Media New Society' EPs of last year. Preceding the release a third EP - 'Engineered Morality' - will drop 16th March, continuing to explore the fictional narrative in which a hypothetical timeline is corrupted by a climate-related disaster. The title of the album itself refers to an imagined surgical procedure where cognitive ability is augmented through transplant from one brain to another. As such, 'Caibu' and its accompanying EPs invite the listener to forge their own ideas on the development of society in the context of crisis.

Within this dystopic setting, 'Caibu' draws strength from introspection. At times trapped in a pressurized container, at others floating through vast spaces; SCB merges subdued hypnotism, syncopated basslines and visceral ambience to find his centre. Metallic surfaces are moulded into polyrhythmic patterns replete with ricocheting drums, whilst unfamiliar acoustics provide a backdrop for the unfurling narrative.

VENT forges new alliances, as Dee Grinski and Tolga Baklacioglu joins forces to explore musical synergies on a collaborative LP release of drone alchemy, eternal rhythms and harrowing vocalisations, which explores the lightless mazes of subconscious voids, teasing at barely understood taboos. Memento is proud to announce a brand new maxi-single of the
extraordinary Lithuanian producer Mario Basanov, better known as Ten Walls. With this moniker, Marijus Adomaitis has been releasing a bunch of deep house gems, and has remixed artists such as Robert Owens and Hercules & Love Affair "Swan" begins with a smoky dramatic introduction, that in a rapid
glance become a obscure minimalistic dancefloor killer with a grueling bass line and unremitting hi-hats. Finally taking off with a gust of monochromatic sequences and a whirl of dampings.
In "Lake", after a dense windy evocative prelude, metallic percussion leave the footprint to the headway of a stomping kick drum and a mesmerizing bass line. Sedately flowing synthetic notes, filtered bleeps and rapid beads lead the track to a grandiose finale in which whiffle and wafts become an ubiquitous polyphonic pad.

Returning to Hypercolour with the 'Persona Non Grata' EP, Mor Elian continues to flourish with four killer cuts of electro and techno infused goodness.

This new edition on the everlasting Tresor Records catalogue marks the return of Pacou, more than five years after the release of his last full EP, Sense.
Three recently produced tracks in the true sound that defines the work of the German techno expert, meet a remix of 'A Texture'. Initially released on his 1998 Symbolic Language album, 'A Texture' is a distinctive interlude, so supreme that it remains a Tresor favorite.

FireScope Records, the scion of B12 Records, releases its first album from none other than its chief commander, Steven Rutter. The second credited solo release from Rutter, it signals another step away from B12 as he steadily builds on a singular vision of work under his own name. With previous releases on labels such as Warp, Soma, Delsin, ART, Buzz and De:Tuned, one of the original founders of UK techno is guided inward for this collection of 12 brand new tracks. Developed over 2 years, these tracks have previously appeared in his numerous solo live shows but are presented here for the first time as one complete narrative. The album, titled 'BrainFog', is the creative and spiritual catharsis of a journey beginning circa 2010, which saw the producer on a hospital bed, hours away from an ascent to the heavens and subsequently depressed and anxious while seeking liberation and escape through music. The daily battle with darkness continues today and this album is his emotions laid bare. Hauntingly beautiful in its fog-filled melancholy; it's our pilot's only solace on the lone flight to recovery. The opening track, 'Sleep Gives Freedom' is a slow, risky start for an album but pays tribute to that safe place which one can escape from everything that surrounds. Put this on to escape and be lulled into a walk through the fog. The following track 'Statuesque' stands tall as a classic techno tune — a stomper with lush strings, tough beats and a bassline that shouts loud and proud. Emotional and heartfelt with a smattering of percussion, 'Memories of You' is written for a best friend, an orbiting soul who is now light years from earth.
Throughout the album, the clouds of despair and decay are never far away, interspersed with bright but fleeting moments of lightness and hope. 'Cracked Reality' slightly disturbs with its sparse and pounding construction, before the decaying beauty of 'Degenerator' and its mirroring track, 'Oracle Unleashed', offer two perspectives to the same theme. 'Squad Free Force' throws back to early hip hop with its old school drums topped with an eerie spin and warmly wrapped in heaven- sent pads. The album's two quirkier compositions come in the form of 'Infinity Engine' and 'Takedown'. With a pure 909 techno sound, 'Infinity Engine''s incredible pads offer a path from sadness to elation and happiness. A different live version may be released later in the year. 'Takedown''s chuggy sideways groove further breaks it down — no matter who or where you are; there is always someone somewhere that wants to bring you down, sometimes it's yourself.
The album's last track, 'Hand in Hand' is probably the most upbeat of the album, and a call to take the hand of the one that is there for you, whether in physical or spirit form. The drums and pads start the track off, before a disjointed sliding bassline sets the scene for a top-line string. Euphoric and uplifting, it is a reminder to respectfully embrace all that which remains good in the world. As a punctuation mark, the final note of the track is a full stop that puts an end to the journey from brain fog to clear heart. Out of the south american continent Colombian producer duo Uron appears for the
first time on Black Brook Limited. Two tracks of the original and three remix versions
completes the EP. The tack titles Hiperion and Leda are multiple terms. One of
Saturn's moons is called Hyperion and one of Jupiter is called Leda. We don't know
for sure if there is an intended meaning to their sound involved. What we listened to
is what you get now. Pure energetic techno, signal sounds, heavy drums. The
upcoming EP contains more than 30 minutes quality music. Responsible for the two
remixes is Greek producer Endlec. Hyperion and Leda are also two terms leading
into the world of greek myths. Is it the bridge to Endlec While travelling through

The Origin EP is a collection of four tracks that draw on primitive feelings, heavily influenced by recent trips travelling through Peru and South America. "Roots Pt III" is the third installment in Petter B's series of homages to his roots of techno. This time with trippy pads gliding across creating a soundscape. On the b-side you find a new Drummer track, also a name which has become synonymous with Bond. This straight and no-bull-shit-groove continues the names proud tradition. As the inner track on the B-side there is a vocal driven track with spaced out sounds flying by. All accompanied by a heavy drum and slowly evolving hi-hats.

''Compersion' is a record about wrestling my own beliefs, both personal and political. It's about experiencing the anxiety and absurdity of loving a partner and ultimately myself. The sounds, tempos and arrangements found here are the result of further experiments with editing tracks to their absolute minimum. I tried to work these songs like I am working on me. Less thought, more direction and purpose, less catering, more expression.'

Each track title inspired by Jenny Holzer and Helmut Lang's revolutionary provocative, sexualisation of the art space in Florence Biennale, 1996, there's a tangible physicality felt throughout...

The heavy breathing rhythmic elements of the electroid 'Talk Smile Bite' and its bedrock bedspring funk; the playful switch between breezy broken beats and driving techno coupled with minimal sample craft and literal message of an instantly recognisable vocal on 'Watch Scan Wait'; the much heavier, intense techno pressure of 'Tease Breathe Smell' where the heart is on the sleeve and it's palpitating wildly with direction, purpose and true expression.

Excise Records' 2nd vinyl release is a celebration of both Northern and Southern Californian techno. Oakland's Milkplant has been making heady dancefloor bombs for 2 decades, and Los Angeles icon Developer jumps in with a beautiful retro-hypnotic remix of Far Star. Milkplant's Dust Cloud is a 10 minute epic build with dreamy synth work shattered complex metallic percussion and anchored by a shockingly weighty bassline. US based artist, Milkplant (real name Justin William Pennell) is originally from Milwaukee,Wisconsin; but has resided in Oakland, California since 2010. He relocated to the West Coast in 2004, lived in Seattle for six years, and started the internationally recognized Techno label and artist collective, From 0-1; with fellow artist, Sone. Schooled in the Midwest and developed on the West Coast, his work encompasses over 30 years of combined DJ/production experience, and 9 years of record label operations.

In autumn 2014 he released 'Time Dilation', a four track 12" EP on From 0-1. Charted by Gary Beck, Paul Mac, and Ben Sims at #2, #1, and #26 in their November 2014 Juno charts, this was a turning point for him. Since then he has released on Planet Rhythm, Wall Music, Dark Net, Etichetta Nera, From 0-1, and Excise. His productions have drawn critical acclaim from many notable artists; showing up in mixes and charts by Ben Sims, Jerome Sydenham, Bryan Zentz, Joachim Spieth, Tommy Four Seven, Submerge, Tadeo, Mattias Fridell, Mr. Jones, Electric Indigo, David Meiser, Samuli Kemppi, Arnaud Le Texier, Abstract Division, DJ T-1000, and many others.

Excise is a vinyl-focused label based out of San Francisco, California. Each release pairs a regional Californian techno artist and a local visual artist, thus serving as a platform to fuse the two local creative scenes. Its first release features label co-owner Muon with 3 hypnotic raw analog tracks. Many of these tracks received heavy play time in the San Francisco underground, and now are seeing a broader release for the first time.

Artist biography:

US based artist, Muon (real name Marc Kelechava) spent his formative musical years in Brooklyn, NYC, but has resided in Northern California since 2013. His initial release on Excise is an attempt to combine hypnotic synth work with heavier dance floor elements: music to get lost to.

As a DJ, he now co-manages the iconic Direct to Earth crew, which started as an Oakland underground rave in 2011. The group's primary goal is to help bring international stars to the San Francisco community for the first time. This year alone they've hosted (or will host) Phase, Cosmin TRG, Yan Cook, Ansome, Marla Singer, and Ben Sims. Muon's an opening mainstay with his hypno-aggressive mixing work.

Dietrich Schoenemann has been so busy being one of the last men cutting all the records in the world that he hasn't had time to organize his catalog of unreleased gems. I distracted him with the old "look over there" trick and stole "8 Feet" from him while he wasn't looking. ( Hopefully he didn't recognize it while he was mastering it )

Daniel Avery returns to Phantasy for a 4-track limited edition 12' vinyl EP, Slow Fade, featuring the title track and first single from his much-anticipated sophomore LP, upcoming in April via Phantasy.

A prelude to the LP's sonic exploration of the twilight world of a personal, transient life spent between clubs, hotel rooms, airports and home, Slow Fade captures the expanded foundations of Avery's sonic palette. Arresting club moments linger under the surface, but the focus is on the smudged ambience that underpin Avery's grasp on rave euphoria.

As a re-entry into a broader musical universe, 'Slow Fade' is immediately compelling, combining neo-acid, feedback loops and pure atmosphere at a patient but restrained pace. Meanwhile, 'After Dark' alters this aesthetic to it's raw, pensive elements, stripping Avery's distinctive drums completely, revealing a meditative, ambient fog.

'Radius' announces itself with industrial intent, before unfolding seamlessly into a wistful electronic hymn, the perfect soundtrack to brooding London skies, and eventually evolving into slow-motion motorik. Closing the EP, 'Fever Dream' finds Avery at club tempo, but in a somewhat agitated state, on this occasion focusing on a paranoid rhythm that emerges clean from eerie, even paranoid territory. Blue Gate is a 3 tracks EP that can be considered as a recap of his main sonorities: sci-fi, Detroit and mental techno are masterfully fused togheter. 1000 Light Years is a futuristic, mental, bleep tool that slowly evolves until the arrival of high frequencies and spaced out bleep particles. Biotronic Signals is a true old-school track, full of Detroit sounds influences. The track is built on a delayed chord sequence, that is constantly dynamic thanks to several cutoff variations; the sequence is enriched by a minimal, but strong, groove. Blue Gate is a perfect, redundant and dry tool, that seems to be a trip into an endless tunnel.

Finnish band Jesse makes unsentimental and innovative music. What you hear on 'Fluids', released as a 12inch picture disc album on Hoga Nord Rekords, is the sounds of four creative brains' journey into the music universe of the future. Their music is influenced by earth and space - Jesse's astral and cosmic disco is prospective, totally boundless, and vibrant of life and blood. The production sounds luxurious and helps the psychedelic qualities to shine through the sound.

Jesse, who with their first releases some ten years ago played fast and arrogant synth based music, now picks up influences from afro beat, funk and ambient but they've kept the electronic core of their sound - simple chord structures rest upon cool synthesized waves of sound, like a glider carried upwards on the thermals between the summits of the Andes. Soft, pliable and mighty!

Jesses music is dreamy but not unworldly and one thing that makes them special is their ability to place the listener on the edge of their safety zone. There, in the frontier, they explore the possibilities of cross over music.

Super Rhythm Trax welcomes back Cardopusher for his second appearance on the label. This EP showcases a range of styles including his trademark jackin' acid trax but also widens the net to include the New York Freestyle of 'Never Fade Away' and the Nu Groove-esque 'Mental Jobs' .

Moss Co. kicks off 2018 with the 'Indivisual' EP from the supremely talented Mariano Mateljan. Mariano and label boss, Archie Hamilton have been talking about an EP on Moss Co. for a number or years, and it is a tribute to both of their perfectionism that it finally lands in all good stores April 6th.

Made in his home studio in Split, the record came together from several analogue jam sessions. Aimed squarely at the small hours, the deeply trippy and haunting tracks take influence from the micro house of the 90s; labels like Cabinet and Perlon and producers like Schatrax and Matthew Johnson.

The record is a fine example of Mariano's ever-maturing sound; timeless minimalistic house music that will cast a spell over dance floors the world over.

As a companion release to his new material on is / was, Mark has been kind enough to let us dig through his extensive back catalog, remaster and reissue three pearls from the Crayon label heyday. Zulu Groove and Warehouse Blues roll along the darker technoid mode Mark was known for at the time, while Thru showcases the lighter, bouncier side of his style.

Camelot Arcade is the new triple LP from Ceephax Acid Crew on WeMe Records. 13 tracks of Camelot goodness with all the feeling and melodies we've come to expect from Ceephax and his collection of classic electronic hardware. The tracks range from the easy listening sound of Phraxby to the baroque dancefloor pump of Camelot Escalator, to the trap-esque cyber feel of Yodecahedron and the Detroit moodiness of The Green Night. Creon Happy and Trusthouse Forte have an upbeat classical feel (backed up of course by Ceephax's favourite Roland drum machines.) While Path to the None and Shadowphax Part I&II are more dark in spirit. A lot of the tracks such as Life Started Tomorrow and The Great Greatsby were born randomly of quick jams with live keyboard playing and the album has an organic feel to it which a lot of the more formulaic electronic music lacks. All in all Camelot Arcade is a wonderful breath of fresh air and is sure to go down in history as one of Ceephax's best.

Delsin's considered re-issue and re-release arm follows up on EPs from Claro Intelecto and son.sine with a trip back to an early UK techno heyday. The man behind the two tracks getting attention is In Sync aka Lee Purkis, generally regarded as someone who played a key role in the development of house and techno in England not just because of his DJ sets - Purkis would travel to the US to buy records no one else had - but so too for his productions. A steady stream of them was released from 1992 onwards on Irdial Discs, Plink Plonk and Fortune8 and each one was to the furthermost of futuristic techno and deep, spacious house music. The re-issues presented here ('Storm' from a 1992 EP and 'Subway Route' alongside Pluto from 1993) have been fully licensed by Delsin from Irdial and have been transferred from the original master reel-to-reel tape for full authenticity. 'Storm' is an epic 12-minute plus track that travels to the furthest regions of out galaxy where warm solar winds breeze past, the sound of spaceships circles you and a pinging kick drums drive you along. The hi hats are feathery light and jazzy and curious little alien synth sounds draw you deeper into this still futuristic sounding world. On the flip, 'Subway Route' is a 17-minute house trip that's lively and jazzy, airy and breezy and sounds like Boo Williams jamming with Carl Craig such is its hi tech sense of soul and seductive synth work. As ever this is a quality re-issue from Delsin that shines light on an often sadly overlooked producer and his truly pioneering discography.

Released on TRAX in the golden year of 1989 Chicago's Virgo aka friends Eric Lewis and Merwyn Sanders, along with peers such as Larry Heard and Frankie Knuckles, gently pushed House music towards a more musically sophisticated realm that hadn't been explored previously. Across 8 tracks Virgo took us on a deep exploration of sound that was both masterfully arranged and produced and in direct contrast to a lot of the rudimental and jacking drum tracks that were the flavour of the day. He emphasizes the arid but loud bassline and the manic synthline even more and delivers a sheer techno monster ready to burn the electronic dancefloors around the globe. A strong kick drum, distorted hi-hats and hedonistic sound-effects are the ingredients here and function perfectly around the long and merciless breaks. We especially fancy the almost oriental styled synth-line in Everything' - this remix will be part of every good techno-sets in the next months! Originally released on Anthony Shakir's Frictional Recordings in '97, FBK's 'Knobs & Switches' is set to drop on Rekids' newly launched re-issue label R-Time Records.

Since his debut FBK has had a prolific career spanning a number of decades, releasing on Rekids, Barba Records, and the now defunct diametric. This release follows on from the Sir Lord Comixx re-issue, giving classic tracks the acknowledgement they didn't initially get first time round.

The release starts with the robust kicks and stuttering hats of 'Rollin' On 6/4' as murky notes make their way into the mix, making way for the sci-fi inspired synths and infectious claps of 'Reservations & Misgivings'. Packed with fast paced drums, 'Feedback' employs a sultry bassline and euphoric harmonies until skipping percussion and echoing effects conclude the package in 'The Tet Offensive'.

Future Sound Of Antwerp are the post-digital children of the city's techno scene, all forgotten mixtapes, and nighttime drives to Ghent. These three tracks, all different, were all produced and mixed at DEEWEE, at night... with a purpose.

On 'Can't Stop Us', chunky stabs incessantly jab at meaty drums, as a female vocal loop rides on an opening filter. The good vibes build to a classic house piano crescendo that Marshall Jefferson would certainly approve of, as the soaring strings and evolving drums raise the rapturous mood to dizzying heights.

On the flip, the percussive disco drums of 'Dials Mavis' are bolstered by a booming sub bassline whilst deft keys and deep Rhodes chords deliver the infectious melody on this bumping jazz ride.

15th release of the strong Barba records! And its FBK who's back featuring a remix by none other than Claude Young - a Detroit heavy-weight who's been particularly selective with his output. Kevin's previous record for Barba, a 2016 twelve titled "Screaming Her Name", also featured a remixes by Terrence Dixon and Plural. Between then and now Kevin managed to put out a track for "The Cast Project" VA and a solo EP for Radio Slave's "Rekids" imprint. As we mentioned earlier, "Eclipse" features two original tracks, the title one and "To A Place I Know". "Eclipse" track is closer to the sound we've come to associate to FBK's productions - equally banging and meditative. This track takes you for a spin with hypnotizing lead synth, distorted acid lines and drums that intensify the vibe as the track progresses. It's dark and moody, but perfect for those moments when the dancefloor is ready to dive really deep. "To A Place I Know" starts on the similar note but as soon as the sampled vocal loop takes the lead it takes the song to a much happier place. Hypnotizing element is still unavoidably present but here the synth line is more subdued and plays a supporting role to the vocals. Something you would play when you need to dive out from the deep and feel some sun on your skin. Finally, Claude Young's remix of "Eclipse" is a fairly different affair, focusing on the meditative aspect of the original quite literally, and taking it to a whole other level. It is an exercise in restraint and patience, with a slowly-rising tension masterfully achieved by a piano line, ambient pads and synth textures subtly exchanging roles throughout the whole length of the song.
