1x each customer! Frankfurt's favourite Roman Flu¨gel returns to Phonica Records with the 'Black Acid EP', a four tracker of Flu¨gel's signature black magic.
Roman needs no real introduction. Let's just say this prolific producer has a hugely varied discography stretching back to the early 90s, putting his hand to Techno, House, Acid, Electro, Ambient, Bass music... you name it, he's done it. It goes without saying that Phonica are extremely proud to present a brand new release from one of electronic music's truest talents!
The 'Black Acid EP' began life way back in 2013 as Phonica sourced material for their 'Ten Years Of Phonica' compilation. Roman's hypnotic, restrained percussion jam 'Giant Talking Vegetable' was one of the understated highlights of the release. A few years and countless email discussions later, London's leading independent record shop happily unveil a 12' with four new tracks of pure Flu¨gel black magic.
The ominous 'Too Hot To Sleep' begins proceedings and holds the listener in suspense, never quite giving way before the mood deepens even further with 'Troubled Mind', its tense melodies teasing then finally succumbing to long-awaited release midway through.
On the flip, title track 'Black Acid' continues the record's dark ritual, an off-kilter drum workout over a sea of uneasy pads with a needle sharp synth line eventually piercing through the murk. Finally, the clouds begin to lift for the beautiful and otherworldly chords of 'Work & TV'. Light at the end of the tunnel after all...

'In Spaces', composed by the Brussels based producer Haring, talks about what is living between several spaces and places, the feeling of having several homes and the ability to appropriate these spaces. Haring has indeed composed this album between Brussels, Paris and Istanbul. The encounters, the anchoring and the discovery of these cities come together in these ten titles which are each in their own way an ode to these cultures which opened new musical perspectives for him."

Deconstructed EBM from the Nous affiliate Spoiled Drama kicks off the new Science Fiction compilation - 10 tracks of crazed machine grooves further diversifying the Science Fiction's exploration into synthetics. The opener driven simply by an obnoxiously saturated digital drum machine and a mechanical body music bass loop simultaneously hints to late 80s darkside Chicago roots with hard flanged hi-hats and a detuned string machine.
Following his recent credits on Frank Ocean's Blonde and Endless, Vegyn steps out of a two year hiatus with a new 12" single on his 'PLZ Make It Ruins' label. 'Phone Phoneys', the title track, immediately delves into familiar and focused textures backed by woozy synths, dancing between glitzy euphonious melodies. The drums and rhythm section channel the energy of prior dance classics but still feel eager and original in their deployment. On the flip side, 'PLZ XX' diverts listeners expectations by jumping between several frenetic moods, all whilst maintaining an energetic frivolity found throughout the record as a whole.

A relative newcomer, Antigone joined Token in 2015 after a succession of releases on well-respected imprints such as Concrete and Construct Re-Form. His first Token record was a 2LP statement of purpose, with hints of neo-classical ambience in the opener into decisive, utilitarian mesmerism for the dancefloor in later tracks. He returned again earlier this year with the Saudade EP for TOKEN59; an overall heavier offering that still manages to retain some of the delicacy of the first.
Now he's back with a 3 tracker for TOKEN68. Antigone employs an advancement on his usual sonic vocabulary to produce yet another record of surprising techno tracks. Static's lead is woody as it begins, then evolves with gradual accents - a confident off-beat hi hat and detailed highlights varying in aggression.
Shadow Play starts out more panicked than playful, then straightens out under the driving percussion. This track is all about noisy atmospherics, confusing our sense of space through masterful panning.
Where the A-side is staunchly anti-melodic, Walking Distance is dulcet in comparison. Amusing hi-end synth work captivates over a practical but absorbing bassline, gradually building just enough to keep us gripped without succumbing to extravagance.

Footwork label boss Jay Lumen is back on board with two massive Techno bangers."Warehouse Trip" is a rolling peak time ride with some nice old school elements. You can hear special dusty stabs in the break to add the right balance for the track."Search" is a chord oriented anthem with great bass synth sprays on a fat kick and bass line.It has a nice contrast and leads you to the dance floor step by step.

Across four bristling cuts, he is the first to represent the label's dedication to classic techno with a modernist twist. Human Image further refines Manni's flair for constructing hypnotic techno that surges with detail. The four tracks provide a vivid dip into the dancefloor, placing you firmly in front of the speakers, head first into a manic dance. With previous releases on Black Sun Records and Perc Trax, as well as support from the likes of Surgeon, himself an inspiration for the label, Manni is the perfect artist to launch Leyla into the world. From the blistering roll out of 'Symbiotic' to the hypnotic pound of 'Bring The Brave In', the swung rhythm of 'Pascal's Gambit' to the cavernous inferno of 'I Was Desire', Human Image is a reflection of the bodily pleasures of techno. It is what you'd see if you could hold a mirror up to dancing devotees at any rave worldwide. It is, like Leyla's own occult origins, both light and dark. Leyla is a brand new label dedicated to recapturing the authentic feeling of techno from a specific era while retaining a modern touch. It's a platform for the music to grow with inspiration from a wide range of styles - industrial, folk, electro. Leyla brings it all together for a new generation.

Oscar's Blood is Peter Van Hoesen's tenth solo EP for his own Time To Express label. It features four new tracks, composed and refined in the producer's Berlin studio and properly tested during several shows in late 2016 and early 2017. Both Oscar's Blood and Circumference 12 feature Van Hoesen's take on driving and hypnotic techno. He applies a different approach to Unit Prep and Theoretical Terminal. Both compositions take their cue from subtle yet vibrant percussive patterns, extending into blissful atmospheres.

PILO makes his full-length debut on BNR with the pure dance-floor grit of his Original 'Flourishes' EP. Following his breakout Boys Noize collaborative single 'Cerebral' and Miami Noize 2016 highlight 'Break Me Down', the rising star has hit full stride with a four track assemblage packed with his signature textures and ethereal mesh. 'Flourishes' brings out PILO's full range as it puts forward both the relentless darkness seen in past
productions coupled with a fresh emotive momentum exemplary of a year locked away in his Los Angeles studio. The result is a new direction for PILO and an evolving soundscape far beyond his years. And his mom loves it.

New outgrowth of the Blaník research program, the young Korean artist Seaen Lee offers a four tracker speculative/experimental hybrid techno research. It's about fierce and heading forces, flashing shades coming out of nowhere. These aquatic and abyssal hummings, among other technoïds and abstract blushes, have no other choice but to take out for real. Must be used with wise hands.

After DJ Red's successful 'Raw Cacao' EP last year, that included a remix by the mighty Ricardo Villalobos, Darko Esser's Wolfskuil Limited now presents a solid four-tracker from the Dutch newcomer Circular Vector Patterns.
'Be' inaugurates the A-Side with a mellow opening, gradually evolving to a more upbeat club pulse, a dynamic combination, followed on the B-Side by 'Dawn', a track which delivers rhythmic beats, balanced with a placid sensation. "Eclipse" reveals its mysterious morphing pads, reflecting the artist's spaced-out facet & the EP's digital bonus track, "Total Bliss" concludes this sonic exploration with a more settled groove, yet perfect to move any dancefloor.
A very promising debut from Circular Vector Patterns, who combines moody atmospheres & flowless production throughout the EP.

Following critically acclaimed releases from Eduardo De La Calle, Refracted, and Monomood, Connwax returns with another exceptional offering of bold and original techno. For this release, they have enlisted the help of a rising young talent in Berlin's underground scene: Akme. The producer and resident DJ of renowned club ://about blank demonstrates his uncommon technical precision and emotional depth with this debut EP, drawing on his vast array of influences and experiences across all genres. In ''Elements'', the bass drum takes centre stage. The engine room relentlessly driving everything forward. Yet as the track develops, a fine lattice work of detail starts to unfold. Meticulous percussive elements imbue the piece with an enigmatic depth as a sombre melody sweeps through the rough rhythmic landscape. We are allowed a brief moment to reflect before the bass drum continues its inexorable path forward. Akme takes a more reduced approach in ''Black Matter''. Space is left for the interplay between the understated acid bassline and delicate hi-hats to lock the track into a hypnotic groove. Here, the statement is defined by what is left unsaid. For the final track ''Concealing'', Akm

From the same people in charge of Shabu Recordings (releasing the likes of Avus, Norwell, Vaghe Stelle, Sigward and many more), we are introducing Heard Island. Inspired by the unique and inhabitable nature of the eponymous island, Heard Island creates a dichotomy with previously released material, focussing on more Techno, Ambient and abrasive sonorities.
*As sometimes it is the case, birth might also bring the end of something else. For its first release, Heard Island introduces the last release of Canadian Jesse Somfay under his Borealis persona. To complete his legacy with his Voidness and Glittervoice albums released on Origami Sound, Vivipary consists of throbbing Techno pieces while keeping the same techniques and textures from Borealis' previous work. Heartshell comes out as a perfect sum of Borealis work, joining lush vaporous string pads to pulsating and harsh percussions, somehow bringing it close to an abstract idea of early 90's Trance, while Wild Blue Rose puts out an ominous voice and psychelic percussion, making it reminiscent of older cuts of Tribal Techno. Remix-wise, Mondkopf takes the more abrasive aspects of Wild Blue Rose and adds power chords and relentless melody, turning it into a more industrial cut of the original. Heard island's head Axel Helios made two different remixes of Hearshell. The first one, exclusive to the 12' of the release, takes the melodies of the original and turns it into an Acid Break jam. . This conclusion to the Borealis alter ego creates the foundations on which Heard Island will build.

The White House The Office of Music and Alien Affairs / April 05, 2017 For immediate release
The White House is announcing the ban of I/Y008, the first official ban concerning an alternate techno record in the history of the United States. 'I am honored to see my husband protecting our children and serving my country, and I look forward to banning more music on behalf of the American people over the coming years,' The First Lady said.
'From climate change to aliens to personal investments and to music, we are keeping our promises in methodically overturning regulations and sounds adopted by reptilians.'
The impeachment of alternate artists is expected to gain massive support from the Country scene for up to two years, 542 people would be directly related to the issue.
- I/Y008 consists of 4 tracks by the I/Y duo, and reportedly destroyed the ears and minds of our White House Press Secretary and President.
- As a candidate, Mr. president said 'I am going to bring back the music and melodies that have been stripped away from you, the people.' This starts now.
- 'Mental Music! Wrong!' Twitted the President.

Vanta 004 comes from Alex Cortex, an artist who has been producing music for over 20 years now and who has been featured on many Killekill releases already.
For this release he delivers two monumental tracks in his very own aesthetics: although both tracks are straight at first sight, their complex beat structure makes them shift and drift. And also their sound is distinctive: crystal clear and without any of the reverbs that you hear so often in modern techno they still have an incredible depth and sound more psychedelic than most of the other stuff that you hear nowadays. Killer!

FOUR313 is a Detroit group of Deejays, musicians and producers from the 1st wave of the Detroit techno dance movement. Blake, Eddie, Santonio & Thomas have joined forces as the unit FOUR313, a group name with meaning and purpose, and that is to preserve Detroit's "true" history in dance music and support the DJ culture through vinyl releases. The debut album of FOUR313 will be released with the launch of their new record label called "Ther Label". FOUR313 will collectively release special limited edition vinyl of brand new recordings starting at the beginnning of 2017.

"I want them to hate me for putting this out" says Jackmaster Hater, referring to tracks once possessed by a mere handful of Chicago House DJs. These recordings, traded secretly on tape, were exclusive to the likes of Ron Hardy and Frankie Knuckles.
Here is the new compilation by Jerome Derradji with Kevin Starke, aka the infamous Jackmaster Hater and owner of Kstarke Records in Chicago. It is one of the sickest slice of Chicago House Music ever released.
This compilation features ultra rare and lost Chicago classics paired with a nice selection of newer tracks produced by Jackmaster Hater and his friends, all nicely laid out on a DCD and 2 DLPs. The DLPs come with a killer poster and the DCD features a booklet about Kstarke records and Kevin Starke and a few more surprises.
It includes rare tracks by Ron Hardy, James "Jack Rabbit" Martin, Terrence Woodard, Traxmen and many more.
This is the real sound of Chicago.

We're not done celebrating our 10th Anniversary at the Still Music headquarters and we've decided to continue diggin' for some treats from our vaults.
After we've released the critically acclaimed "Kill Yourself Dancing! The Story Of Sunset Records Inc. 1985-89", a lot of our friends were asking us for some specific 12"s to be repressed. We felt obliged to comply and here we go with three of the most significant 12"s from Sunset Records Inc.
Let's start at the beginning with a one of the first house 12" released in Chicago in 1985 by Razz aka Matt Warren & Ralphi Rosario.
This 12" was mixed by the mighty Farley Jackmaster Funk and recorded at the seminal Chicago Trax studios where legendary Chicago classics records were produced. Matt and Ralphi where childhood friends and this is what they wanted to do in '85, a 12" that they could play out at their parties... The result is stunning and is one of the rarest document to the birth of House music in Chicago.

Label boss Sasha Carassi showcases his constant evolution in this three-track EP and 'Soundsphere' kicks things off with unmistakeable, mutating stabs intertwined with haunting background synths. 'Starchild' picks up from there with its rubber-band bassline and streamlined electronics, and introduces what can only be described as mutant sci-fi chords. For the closer, Mr. Carassi has put together the aptly-titled 'Drop Of Soul' in which trademarked synths pave the way for nostalgic arpeggios and dissonant electronics.

To feel the future is to feel the fall into time.
For the fourth instalment in Tresor's 'Kern' mix series, DJ Stingray (Urban Tribe/Drexciya) presents a device for decoding time in all directions, a sonic prism that refracts our senses into auxiliary components of a total future-rush.
With a far-reaching selection that has been worked into his own unique form, DJ Stingray wraps our vertigo around a gritty pneumatic bump with high-velocity swing. His mixing style, prepared for hostile engagements as it is, throttles techno into counter-gravity forces. Wading through a specialised cross-section of Detroit's own dance-floor contagions as well as the contaminated feedback signals from across the global aqua plains, the mix can be summed up in just one word: hectic.
Raw, caustic, synthetic rhythm-code pumps frenzy itself through a cascading geothermal fog. Never giving away the cryptographic keys, DJ Stingray works you harder than your heart, adapting your biology to a fractal timeline of viscous systems.
Discovery, or uncovering, has to do with what already exists actually or virtually; it is therefore certain to happen sooner or later with enough sweat in the club. And as Kern Volume 4 attests to, DJ Stingray has the access codes and the stealth sense to make a place of a space, and to let it fall into time.
Accompanying the mix is a double vinyl. The leading manoeuvre comes from the collaborative efforts of DJ Stingray and Heinrich Mueller under an exclusive NRSB-11 piece. Seven more key titles of the covert assault make up this vinyl edition.

After a 3 year hiatus from his Avatism moniker, Thomas Feriero, one half of CW/A and owner of Parachute records, returns with an EP for his home label Vakant. A rough yet refined release, unassuming in its effort, Thomas channels both his previous solo work and his CW/A project into a tightly wound package with 4 solid cuts. Various influences converge yet a straight line is etched for all to follow. These are up-front, hard working tracks. Body Music with an undercurrent of breakbeat. His first EP on Vakant since his album. File under need / want.
Widely regarded as pioneers of PC Music, Blacknecks are proud to unveil their final and most shambolically cobbled-together record to date. After 6 half-arsed releases, a couple of half-arsed gigs and a brutally honest interview in a popular far-right culture pamph, all while managing to maintain their stellar UK garage careers, Blacknecks are now dead.
This final release contains seven new tracks, plus one which wasn't quite good enough to go on any of the first five EPs. It features toe tapping minimalism, knee jerking industrial, tear inducing melodies, fist clenching hoovers, a novelty track that really shouldn't have made it onto the record and a whole mess of shite that they would be ashamed to release under their own names. Packed with obscure literary references from one of those books that they saw for sale somewhere, Blacknecks tread the delicate line between the Apollonian and Dionysian, by throwing any old bollocks together and sucking up the acclaim. It is, to put it simply, the single most important record of the 21st century. If you disagree, you are wrong.
Goodbye.

* The first vinyl of the year is the first step towards knowledge, after the last step we had moved into the darkness.
We've fallen many times and we reacted, we moved forward. For this reason the forthcoming release is called 'La Caduta Di Lucifero' ( The Fall of Lucifer) as homage to the white energy to come and the end of all evils.
* Produced by the acclaimed Codex Empire and the young, talented artist Unconscious.
* A dark and obscure texture with melodies to touch the inner places of the soul. A record designed for vinyl collectors as much as DJs
* The EP comes with a Codex Empire remix which gives the missing dance attitude to the vinyl.

Umek reprises his Zeta Reticula moniker for a welcome return to Billy Nasty's Electrix label with an innovative EP comprised of 4 new tracks, split between the two spheres of Electro and Techno.
The Slovenian-born DJ and producer should need no introduction, boasting more than two decades of experience, playing the world over, producing music for labels like Toolroom, Spinnin', Great Stuff, Intec or his own imprint, 1605 to name just a few, or presenting his hugely popular weekly radio show, Behind the Iron Curtain.
It's been some time since a Zeta Reticula release on Electrix, with 'EP 1' to 'EP 4' surfacing on the label between 2000 and 2003, although Umek has continued the project more recently with tracks on 1605.
The A-Side of 'EP 5' delivers some Electro flavour, opening with the serious Electro-funk of 'Electric Blood Complete', before the vintage sci-fi electronics and playful rave stabs of 'Euphonious'.
Over on the B-Side the Techno takes over with the deep and dub-drenched 'Encroach' followed by the tough Housey grooves of 'Radiate' to complete this bold package.

Here we are with our first release, Liltte Hill 001, two original bouncing techno tracks from Lorentz, well remixed by Gianluca Meloni (Prologue) with drifting-techno rework and Owl (bpm-family) with more dubby-atmosphere remix.
---
Lorentz back in action for Little hill !
With a long side (14.58) where there are two original tracks, 'Madicosa' and 'Choose in it', lorentz show us his gentle sounds, with homesick tracks.
If you flip records you can find two great works made by Mattia Trani, label-head of Pushmaster discs, with his '909' remix and Damien Schneider, Apologue recordings, with more effective techno remix.
---
Little Hill goes dark!
A mysterious artist on the hill for this release named Vasco serving us, on Roman label, an ep with deep and glacial techno sounds; the two original tracks take us to the universe of the artist, cold and dark.
On other side the first remix is produced by Agazzi and follow the musicline of the originals so pulling out a paranoid march, other remix on bside is made by Valent and it's a peaktime modern 3x12" techno percussive device.

Marquis Hawkes sound ranges from club-ready weapons of slamming and sleazy to swinging and acid-laced, beholden to vintage US house music and jacking dance floor jams.
After the monumental success of his debut album 'Social Housing', a recent live Boiler Room appearance, Resident Advisor mix and a 9/10 album review in Mixmag, Marquis Hawkes returns with an absolute beauty of a package alongside the indisputable queen of RnB & Soul, Jocelyn Brown.
The release also includes two remixes from producers at the top of their game, house legend Paul Woolford and close friends, Polish duo Catz 'N Dogz, each tackling the crystal clean house anthem 'I'm so Glad' turning in monumental dance anthems which will be heard across dance floors for some time to come.
Cut and Mastered by Matt Colton at Alchemy Mastering.
Insane hyper hybrid combo of wave/house/techno by Murray CY of Glasgow. The CY stands for "Contort Yourself" the label he runs which bridges the gaps between lost sounds of the past and contemprary noise makers, this ep displaying the producers take on the sound perfectly. All four tracks move in their own way from mid-tempo heaviness to more peak time fare. This is the rough back alley stuff you've been warned about!

A leading figure of the contemporary electronic world, Jamie Odell aka Jimpster sets his sights firmly back on the album format with this beautifully crafted long-player; Silent Stars. A self-confessed creature of the night, the Freerange Records and Delusions Of Grandeur boss taps into his nocturnal and escapist impulses to deliver a superbly executed modern-day fusion album.
His seventh studio album and first since 2013's highly-acclaimed Porchlight And Rocking Chairs, this is an album dedicated to the nocturnal hours. Silent Stars is a richly textured ride through the tapestry of house, from jazz-infused opener 'Migrations' through to the dense, orchestral euphoria of 'Tau Tona' and the minimal, percussive bounce of title track 'Silent Stars'. The listener edges a touch closer to the dancefloor on tracks like 'Yansa' and 'Power of the Doof' - yet the grooves stay subtle with intricate percussion, dense sound design and a mischievous streak being palpable throughout.
A range of guests are welcomed by Jimpster across Silent Stars. Hotly-tipped Londoner Florence Rawlings adds her vocals on 'Crave' and 'Everytime'. Past collaborator and member of Kirk Degiorgio's The Beauty Room, Jinadu weaves emotional soul on album centerpiece 'The Sun Comes Up'. Khalil Anthony lends his vocals on 'Where You Are' and leading session drummer Andy Gangadeen (Massive Attack, Chase & Status, The Bays) lays down his immense beats on 'Tau Tona'.
Jimpster is a true veteran of the global house scene, a custodian of the authentic deep house sound and a producer who has quietly created some of the most reflective and sophisticated electronic music of the past two decades. 20 years on from his album debut, Jamie Odell continues to impress.
The LP will be accompanied by two singles including remixes from Peggy Gou, Atjazz, Flabaire and Urulu.

Michele Pinna presents a new LP under a fresh moniker and alter ego, Time Traveler, representing a direct confrontation of the artist's own fear of time as an unrelenting force. The LP, titled 'I'm Made Of Stars / Journal', takes inspiration from conversations between Pinna and his father on the topics of galaxies, space and of course, time. These converstions were the starting point for the abstract, futuristic and dark work presented on the new LP. The release also draws on Pinna's artistic interests outside of music, presenting a work not just of sound, but one with a coherent visual aesthetic spanning the physical releases of the LP. This visual aesthetic has taken shape through multiple collaborations with the photograpers, stylists and designers Nicolas Mazzei, Danila Tkachenko, Khourianbeer and Cinzia Araia.
The resulting album is a twisting sci-fi journey invoking images of a dystopian galactic future. Pinna takes techno and filters it through his own imagination, dismantling it and rebuilding it with an unheard palette of textures, timbres and rhythms. At times disorientating and chaotic and at others, restrained and delicate, the LP has one foot in dance music and the other in emotional and visionary experimentation. The album will arrive on Pinna's new label, Chronicles Diary, set up specififically for this release which can be considered much like a diary or journal of Pinna's emotions and imaginings of the future. A limited edition vinyl release will come with a fitting physical package much like a real black diary. Inside the sleeve can be found prints that are the product of Pinna's several collaborations, and serve to provide a visual reference point to the futuristic vision of Time Traveler. The standard vinyl release, aimed more at DJs, will come in paper moleskine packaging. Alongside these, there will be a cassette published followed by a digital release in the next months.

Following last year's 'Galaxies Compared' album, Belgium's Dany Rodriguez shows he is not a man to rest on his laurels as he prepares the follow up this summer, 'D'Visions'.
Recording for over a decade and having released a series of EPs for labels such as Kombination Research, MBR, Bush, MB Elektronics, Bulletdodge and Phobiq, Dany Rodriguez now runs his own RMR label, where his techno and electronic sound has developed and flourished into new collaborations and larger projects.
Whilst much 'big room' techno can deliver a punch devoid of feeling, Dany Rodriguez builds his tracks around warmth and emotion. For example, the album is book-ended by the subtle ebb and flow of the opening 'Natural Symphony' and the closing Detroit string-inspired 'December'. Both are full of delicate, synapse-tingling triggers that highlight his ambition as a producer to work both on and off the dance floor.
Of course, Dany's natural territory lies in the rhythm and groove of a sweaty club where we can find the majority of the album. 'Acid Tribute' builds into a bubbling 303 refrain that pushes and pulls between the twisted bassline, 'D Funk' takes a staccato house beat and asks 'Where's the New Jack' whilst bringing in glorious jazz motifs and the minimal, dirt trodden rawness of 'Texture' gives a healthy nod to Robert Hood's stripped-down aesthetic.
Then we have the bizarre spaced-oddity that is 'Oscilo 8' where Dany pushes furthest to the outer reaches, delivering something truly strange and unique whilst 'D Visions' takes us back to the driving intensity of the dance floor. Dany tips his hat to the realm of electro on 'Tell Me When You Are Ready' and the shimmering pads on 'Deep Morning' are a perfect 6am moment from the master of melody.
Dany Rodriguez also manages two party concepts: Pure Electronic and The Link Festival, while he also runs two successful labels: RECODE MUSIK which has released artists such as Space DJz, Tom Hades, mcj, xentrix, Jay Denham, Frank Valon Roel Salemink and Mark Broom and RMR (vinyl & digital) with releases from himself and additional remixes from James Ruskin, The Advent and Marco Bailey, Chris Tietjen, Oliver Way, Ben Long & more to come. His 'Intergalactic Frequencies Chapter 002' collaboration with Ben Long follows soon but in the meantime we have a wonderful new 'vision' to embrace.

Perth, capital of Western Australia, sits where the Swan River meets the southwest coast. Sandy beaches line its suburbs giving purpose to hot summer days, but after sundown, the city is where it's at... if you know where to look. It's possible that this double-life is what inspired the deep, melodic, futuristic sounds of one of Australia's most mysterious electronic dance music labels of the 90's - Red Ember Records.
Helmed by Ewan Jansen and along with Justin Zerbst (with contributions from Steb Sly and Andrew Carpenter) this micro label powered through the latter half of the 1990's with a slew of back-room productions; barely existent releases that were mainly pressed onto poly-plastic discs and hand distributed at a handful of near mythical live performances and local record spots in their hometown. Suffice to say it's the unique quality of the music contained on these lathes (chiefly produced by Jansen and Zerbst) and the sheer rarity of the physical items that has driven Red Ember firmly into the minds of vinyl fiends the globe over.
Deep. That is one word that can be safely used when discussing the sonic bounty contained on a Red Ember record. Ewan Jansen's loose, harmonic style sits perfectly next to Justin Zerbst's faster paced, frenetic Techno sounds. The two's styles complimenting each other perfectly. The two producers have their very own unique vision of what House and Techno are and "Embers Only: Selected tracks 1997 - 1999" offers an overview of a selection of very carefully curated tracks taken from a handful of their early EP's and lathes. Never reissued before and almost exclusively out of print for the most part, these tracks have been some of the most closely guarded pieces of electronic music going around. Full access was granted to the Red Ember vault and working in conjunction with Jansen and Zerbst this phenomenal compilation was brought to life.
"Embers Only: Selected tracks 1997 - 1999" - An insight into the extremely exotic sound world of Red Ember Records, now available on double vinyl, fully remastered from all original DAT tapes and compiled with the full cooperation of both Ewan Jansen and Justin Zerbst. Remastered by Curved Pressings, London. Artwork and design by Atelier Superplus.

Spatial Cues is a series of split singles sounding out main(void)'s and Kon Janson's shared musical space. Operating out of Berlin and London, the two artists join forces to showcase their mutual vision of techno music.
CUES001 starts off the series with two immersive yet driving tracks, both built upon breathing and soughing atmospheres that wrap themselves around clear-cut, straightforward rhythms.
Guided by bleepy accents, CUES001 A takes you on a stormy 10 minute ride through subtly shifting layers of sound, revealing its hidden depths in two slowly climaxing breaks.
Steadily evolving towards its floating finale, CUES001 B contrasts a mesmerising percussion pattern with a steaming machine sound that loses itself in endless feedback cascades.

Deep and innovative sound designed by two artists, unique in the music scene, who give us another of their work full of maturity and obscure nuances intertwined with mystical rhythms.
Entering in the musical vision of the artists we are faced with the concept of an octagon and then correlate number 8, with its direct symbolism and numerology indefinitely. As history teaches us 8 is one of the ancient symbols, it is the symbol of infinity, where nothing is over, but there is only a continuous cycle that produces a reflection of the spirit in the created world, immeasurable and indefinable.
In addition we find two more version, recorded by different musicians, that capture the character and the essence of the entire production.
---
The structure and the essence of this release, focuses on a current argument in which more and more people
in this society are found to be the early protagonists, often without even realizing it.
The artist wants to tell and convey through his work, a point of view towards this theme.
As can be deduced from the title of the EP, the project is to express and represent a war of colors, which fight
the monotony of everyday, always flat and dark.
The first track, "Daily March", wants to criticize this monotony through a full-bodied sound that recalls a real
daily march, which many people are facing every day. All accompanied by a setting of hypnotic sounds that
capturing the attention of the listener, carrying in a vicious circle in which one perceives the focus of the
concept that the artist wants to communicate.
The second track, "Appearance Of Freedom" is the soundtrack for those who are trapped in slavery everyday
life, believing to be free or at least trying to able to escape from the monotony, but then realizing that it is only
an appearance. The sound of this second soundtrack fully embraces with the first, almost as if it were a single
story that is going to evolve, arguing the rebellion that the artist wants to express in this state of being of the
person in the present life.
To accompany the two original works of Kalos, there are two remixes by great artists, the first made by the
Irish duo Lakker, which are able to communicate their idea of daily march through their strong version, being
able to also expose them a very clear message.
The second remix is made by the Begian artist Yves De Mey, for the track "Apperance Of Freedom" where he
captures in full the message of the track and re-edited, bringing attention to the full-bodied bass carefully
distorted, creating a trip hypnotic evolving.

Manchester native Alex Coulton has nurtured a reputation for creating sub-heavy rollers thanks to 12's for the likes of Black Acre, Livity Sound and Bloc. With Gamma Ray Burst, the next in his series of releases on London low-end specialists Tempa, Coulton consolidates his sound to deliver some of the most sparse, rhythmic work of his career.
With the record's title track, Coulton weaves from hard-hitting kicks, through to dizzying tribal polyrhythms the whole time maintaining a minimal, space driven atmosphere that remains omnipresent throughout the track's most intense moments. 'Ground Zero' revels in its spaciousness, allowing reverb to flood into the negative space between flashes of heavyweight techno percussion and saturated ripples of synth while the pulsating kicks that underpin 'Alpha Decay' are punctuated with bleak, discordant bells, rhythmic bass hits and hypnotic filtered percussion.
Showing his diverse abilities, 'Phase Two' is an exercise in measured restraint, as a cacophony of clicks and hisses come together to disorientate before forming a driving rhythm section before Coulton maximises his expansive elements on the fog-tinged 'Ascent'.
Closing with the steady flowing, brighter-hued melodic work of 'Distant Resonance', Alex Coulton has created a masterful collection of experimental tech-focused electronica that bewilders, intrigues and will draw the listener in with each play.

We are pleased to announce DJ Hell´s 5th album - Zukunftsmusik , to be released on May 12th, 2017 worldwide at International Deejay Gigolo Records. The techno revolution 30 years ago, where boundaries, walls and our own guarded natures came crumbling down The archaic establishment-challenging attitude and forthright energy of the punks The long-awaited eruption of gay culture that had burned and yearned since the dawn of mankind Dare you travel even further back Rewind two hundred years to the romantic revolution where men like the blitzed Berloiz helped us transcend our physical limitations for suspended moments of fantastique disbelief... All of these moments have shaped us, our music and our culture. Each movement comprising artists who - like us right now - are trying to make sense of the uncertain world, the chaotic present and the fearful future. Artists like Hell. Welcome to the future...Reflecting over his participation and contribution to myriad cultural movements since the late 70s, his passion of ever-evolving musical form and our current socialpoliticallandscape, Hell taps into our collective rich histories, our combined fears and our mutual desires to create his most personal, ambitious and thought provoking body of work to date: Zukunftsmusik. His fifth studio album Zukunftsmusik fuses some of Hell's strong signature motifs (his passion for subversion, his great kosmiche canvases, sudden throbbing bursts of dancefloor dynamism, subtle songcraft) yet it sounds unlike anything Hell has ever created before. There are very few big club singles. A delicate balance of classical dramatic orchestral tension and evocative futuristic synthesis runs throughout. Dark and light, hope and fear, fast and slow, day and night... Over the course of one hour Helmut Josef Geier invites you on a musical trip of a lifetime, his lifetime, your lifetime, music's lifetime.

Möd3rn is a global project from 3 wellknown artists who wanted to give a side project from their own solo career. It's a band, producing, playing live but it's also a label created only for the trio productions. Each releases will propose 3 tracks from the 3 artists. For that first one the famous trio propose 3 huges bombs Mö4, Mö5 and Mö6, 3 huge techno killer using rough skins with raw edit. Speech less and listen to that we can call Pure TEchno.
While carefully handling their respective careers, postponing then their obvious collaboration, Möd3rn trio's members have capitalized its desire and now deliver its mere substance, in the rightest moment, where, simply, all the distant forces converge.
The six daring, expert hands merge now into a unique entity, unanimously moving within the same effort towards techno music. Of the distinct identities merely remains the ethereal, synthetic essence devoted to the group, and the common musical passion that leads it. The formula is elaborated freely: each one's adjunctions -subtle keys, nervous chords, underground blows, rhythmical uproars- pour into a thick maelstrom, opaque, condensing Detroit's grieving sensibilities as well as last decade's bewildering cacophonies. The potion obtained is irresistible, an ecstatic hybrid, prodigiously actual, that renders all the genre's diversity and dynamism.
Chance intertwined their paths and now the three companions celebrate both the friendship that resulted and the good fortune that has driven it, by improvising live together as one faceless, solid body agitated by the urge of dance and music, composing the material that shall be processed later on to form their eponym label's releases.

Finnish techno icon Mono Junk aka Kim Rapatti joins forces with Berlin based Freestyle Man aka Klas Sasse Lindblad, known for his productions on classic labels like Sähkö and Moodmusic.
PATA EP starts with the hard hitting techno title 'Not A Love Story', haunting vocals, simple synthline, slicing percussion and deep bassdrum, all u need to make an effect, this must be heard in a big sound system. Following with 'Need Your Lovin' the EP takes a more electro approach, mesmerising love story with Jupiter-8 bassline and 808 beats accompanied with vocals on this track too by Mr Rapatti.
The EP ends with 'Stella Polaris', a production which started as a jam in 2007 in Berlin at Sasse's Blackhead Studios and was finished 10 years later in 2017 in the same location. Reminiscing of early 90s electronica time when everything was pure and gold and when these fellows also were starting their careers. 'Stella Polaris' leaves no one cold with emotional themes of analog synthesis and depth of the bass.
PATA EP is out 15.5.2017 on DUM Records (DUM039) on 12' vinyl. DUM Records selected catalogue is also available in digital form in your favourite download shop.

This is the fifth release on the 6-volume Surgeon reissues label SRX, collecting together an important selection of one-off tracks and highly limited rarities.
* Fivo appeared on a release on Round Records and Pagga featured on the Underground UK compilation release by Kickin Records.
The B-side features 2 tracks from the mythical THX1139 which was previously only available on 50 white labels in 1996.
A few words from Surgeon about the SRX series:
While searching through old DAT tapes I was shocked to find how clear and dynamic many of my early tracks sounded, not the way I remembered them from the vinyl releases. Those early tracks, recorded 20 years ago, were mastered and cut by people who had no understanding of electronic music. I actually remember cutting a dubplate back then and being asked if my track was "supposed to sound like that" The engineer was so disgusted at my music that once the cut started he left the room until it was finished.
Although some of these releases have been repressed many times over the years, they have always been from the original plates from those early cuts; none have ever been re-mastered and recut in their original from. So I began carefully transferring everything from the original DAT tapes and working closely with Christoph Grote-Beverborg from Dubplates & Mastering in Berlin (who's been cutting my all my releases since 1996) to present this early material as it was originally intended.
Along with the early Downwards releases, I found high-quality unreleased tracks from that time as well as releases that had only been issued in limited pressings; those too are included in this project. For the packaging I commissioned Ken Meier and Yoonjai Choi from the New York design firm Common Name to create some sumptuous sleeve art.

Planet Rhythm usual Yan Cook teams up with fellow Ukranian artist ''Mays'' for a tough collaboration record named ''Old Friend EP''. On the opening-track 'Fixed' the tone is being set for this being an utter dancefloor effort with the extended use of FX and modulation. 'Old Friend' resumes in this fashion bringing a glitchy atmosphere of some kind together with matches chords and outlandish drum work. The B-side opens up with the futuristic tones of 'Coder' which is based around tough synth arpeggiators and ferocious kick drums. 'Tesla' continues down the road of futuristic Techno with it's strong and extended FX works and intrusive synthesizer sounds.

The 10th Modal Analysis release is the second full EP of the label's co-founder, ANFS. Mass EP demonstrates ANFS unique sound aesthetics, offering tracks to satisfy the most demanding music-heads. Mass#1 is a sadistic composition of distorted percussions and basslines hitting hard in a slow rhythmic groove , while Mass#2 stands closer to the dancefloor thinking norms, without though leaving behind any of the creepiness of Mass#1. On the flip side, Mass#3 brings back the mood of a horror movie soundtrack, with bleepy riffs on the leading sequence. Finally, Mass#4 is another rhythmic industrial composition, which connects Mass EP with the traditional eastern influences that can be found on ANFS debut release, Ground EP.

The extraordinary prolongation of sound jerked Polly's pretty head away from her work at the calibration machine. Today's jobs had seen her at her thorough and meticulous best but as afternoon melted easily into evening, these latest reverberations meant she'd no longer be able to focus to the level required. Her boss had just dropped The Bomb. As her ear drums filtered the noise, the technician's bright mind was flooded with delight, her eyes no longer felt dry and tight with concentration; she was caught riding the crest of a massive wave of admiration.
Sitting her specs on the desk and pushing herself off the comfortable heat of her work stool, Miss Filla let the soundwaves pull her to her feet and carry her off to the main source of the captivating music. In honour of Dixon Avenue Basement Jams spending four years at the forefront of the global electronic music scene a new release was planned to shake the foundation to the very core. Techno wizard Big Miz had been charged with delivering the goods and by the Gods, the Glaswegian had cracked it! He'd created, not just new tunes, but a whole new fucking genre. Polly could feel the vibrations pulsating through every part of her curvaceous body as she sashayed along to the seductive beat.

Vanta Series is the new series for Killekill's dancefloor music. The releases come in series, every series comes with a theme and one artwork which is being split in several parts to go with each release. The first series is called THE END IS NEAR' and features four records. It comes with an artwork by French visual artist Elzo Durt.
Vanta 003 comes from Eomac under his alias EeOo.
EeOo is a side project for what is, in Eomac's mind, straight up, techno-rave-house-jungle- disco influenced, dancefloor material. It draws influence from classic styles of dance music. Less dense, less conceptual than the Eomac-music. Less focussed on texture and atmosphere, a more direct approach for sweaty ravers and moving bodies.

That time when the sun crosses the plane of the earth's equator, making night and day of approximately equal length all over the earth. 'Equinox' is P.E.A.R.L. his debut on Float Records. As known for his aesthetic grooves we are proud to add this Berlin based Spanish producer to our catalogue. This three track EP does exactly what the title implies.
Equinox I hits it right in the centre, with vibes perfect for either sunset or sunrise. The hypnotic sequence will cut through your brain and makes sure you don't even know if it's night or day. Equinox II represents the night. Again an incredible solid sequence, but with a raw edge assisted by a haunting soundscape doing justice to the dark. No one is safe for this killer. When day time arrives you will be introduced to Equinox III. This seems to be the most friendly track, but don't let it fool you. A smart percussive rhythm does the magic and creates the hypnotic experience you can expect from P.E.A.R.L.

Tom Hang is the solo electronic work of Lobster Theremin label owner Jimmy Asquith. Despite being ridiculously busy either quaking dancefloors across the globe and flowing into the world a continuous catalogue of acclaimed electronic heat, Jimmy has found time to follow up his 'Tidy Bedroom Versions' release with more original tracks from the heavily dusted harddrive.
The record opens with 'The New World', where there is no space for preparation or adaptation; instead we are plunged straight into a fast evolving, rapid fire other. Despite this disorientating descent it doesn't take ears and minds long to nestle within the groove and across the tracks seven minutes we settle into the escapism of Hang's bodily mantra and slowly lose ourselves to this new world.
'Chronic Delirium' strides into focus with an exploratory intent, evoking images of a lone body battling a windswept lonely planet. There is an overwhelming sense of anticipation within the tracks pulse, and a dizzying excitement within Hang's ever shifting percussive experiments to create this state of musical delirium. This is perhaps the moment of realisation that within this new world there is a crossroads signing towards potential encroaching solitude and despair, or a leap of faith towards seeking comfort within embracing that which is completely unknown.
The record closes with the mammoth 'In the Deep'. Across the twelve shifting minutes Hang continues this idea of the human relationship with new zones and new experience, but here Hang seems to convey the idea that the struggle is over, there is no further bodily or mental resistance to change, dystopia has captured the spirit and embrace is the only option when you're in this deep. Buzz saw synth attacks collide with gloriously subtle yet uplifting old school bubbling melodies before the deepest techno pulse imaginable swings eyes instantly back to the floor.
'The New World' is a sphere where pummelling Techno burners teeter on the edge of freedom before winding and convulsing themselves into varying mutant zones that straddle the lines between experimental statement and tightly locked grooves to create a record of pure dystopian dancefloor heat. There is an odd and refreshing unity here within the strict, bare, functional, consuming percussion and the heady, playful, and freeform nature of Hang's melodic grip.

The eleventh Modal Analysis release introduces Umwelt, with his debut appearance on the label. Density EP is a 4 track release blending Umwelt's unique style which is a perfect fit with the Modal Analysis aesthetic. Industrial meets electro here, and the Lyon based producer joins the sound of Athens. Density #1 fully reflects Umwelts skills on enigmatic riffs and fat bass-lines. Density #2 and Density #3 sneak into the more dance-floor minded record bags, while Density#4 feeds a melodic/melancholic feeling whilst hard hitting beats bring it home.

Ghosts/Spirits is the result of many exorcism sessions, most of them performed unknowingly. The tracks are numbered based on their order of collection. Ghosts are generally subtle and linger around more than spirits, which are said to go straight to your mind's heart.
Whether you long for a naked dance in the forest, or a subaquatic journey through mermaids and sunken ships, you are welcome to indulge in our musical exorcism, in the name of the tribal forces which brought us rhythm, and the spiritual forces which brought us together.

DUST is an international, amorphous, conceptual techno project known for futuristic acid compositions and noisy, immersive live performances. Founded in 2012, DUST has since performed and/or DJed across the world. Perhaps the most notable element of the live aspect is Greem Jellyfish, whose heavily processed screaming and flamboyant costumes often erupt crowds into techno riots.

Originally released in 1998 through Kog Transmissions via a very limited CD run, LOOP is proud to present for the first time digitally and on vinyl one of New Zealandâs most acclaimed electronic albums. 'inside a quiet mind' has been lovingly remastered by Chris Chetland, one of the founders of Kog Transmissions, and who handled the original mastering. âSomehow or another, Chris managed to make it releasable 20 years ago, and now he has given new life to the album by a further smoothing of the edges, and polishing it to a level of shininess where it even sounds good in my uteâÂ. - denver mccarthy 'inside a quiet mind' is a modern classic of the electronic genre, and one which can finally be experienced to a standard befitting itâs quality. A forgotten gem no more, it is an album that holds an important place in NZ electronic music history. Stepping through deep house, glitch and techno, and originally made across bedrooms in Auckland and Brisbane, inside a quiet mind isnât a collection of songs, it is a complete album, and one which was created as such. Across 11 songs and over one hour, it is a journey across an electronic spectrum, and one which is best enjoyed in full. Originally created inside the thriving electronic scene of the late 90âs, 'inside a quiet mind' is an album which wears itâs influences proudly â the electro/synth heavy Detroit sound, and the minimal-techno of Basic Channel and Maurizio from Berlin. As Denver McCarthy himself matured and grew from his late teens to early twenties, so did his sound. âYou will be tinkering away with a sound, a chord, a rhythm, and then something will catch your attention, something that sounds good to you. From there, itâs just a matter of adding more elements until you get what occurs to you as a finished piece. You can feel the anxiety build as the song unfolds, and you wonder whether or not you will be able to resolve the piece and bring out what needs to come out for it to be something worthy and memorable. I have recorded so many songs, but only a small percentage I actually like and stand the test of time.â - Denver McCarthy

Arcing Seas is back with ARCS-03; a unique EP of selected tracks from the first two releases, remixed by The Mover, Peder Mannerfelt and Shifted. First up, rave and techno legend The Mover presents his first new material since 2009. After using the slogan "See you in 2017" for years before, this marks the start his return. He turns Trappist into a hard hitting electro workout using original parts that explode and punish the senses. Peder Mannerfelt introduces the B-side with his take on Skull Gun. Broken beats and exciting percus-sion sit atop deep kicks, disorientating quick fire samples and rapid snares, showing how versatile and on-point he is. Finally, Shifted is called into action with a signature deep-sonic soundscape. Rumbling kicks and high frequency textures occupy the sound field, alongside reverberating samples from Vultures, making it his own. Label info: Arcing Seas is an anagram of Cassegrain. It started out as a secret alias, releasing a couple EPs on Our Circula Sound. The secret was less well kept after the duo appeared at Berghain under this name. A year later, after deciding to start a label, it finally made sense to bring the two together.

Dave The Drummer and Marcello Perri get together once again with 2 tracks of techno goodness:
In Safe Hands :
This is a hard bass-driven industrial kick-drum groove which meets some carefully placed vocal loops and a piercing high synth shot which gives the track a distinct warehouse party vibe. This track is going to detonate those dance floors!
Acid Future :
This is the first time a squelchy acid line has ever featured on a Hydraulix release. A tough rumbling reverberated drumbeat, firing on all cylinders with a squelchy 303 sat on top. it's even got a voice and some reversed bits of 303 What more could you ask for

Makam returns to Dekmantel Records with his first full-length album for the Amsterdam based label. Blanken's ongoing search for fresh sounds, textures and rhythms has lead him to Than Sadet, a gorgeous piece of work that takes his sound into new directions.
That Sadet displays a refinement of Makam's sound. The music is highly tactile, with an emphasis on the surroundings of the environment in which it was created. Blanken: ''Than Sadet is a secluded beach on an island in Thailand. A mysterious atmosphere haunts it. It's windy and the weather is always a bit worse compared to the rest of the isle. There are many cliffs and you can't swim because the waves are too high. Four years ago I visited Than Sadet for the first time and I've been coming back ever since. At one point I decided to bring my studio equipment. For a week, I dedicated my days to making music. Those sketches formed the basis of the album.''
The inspiration on Than Sadet is obvious. From billowing percussion thru windswept strings to passages of strange bird calls, and across desolate tracts of calving synthesizers to a climax with a finale of petrifying thunder drums. The levels of dramatic suspense are ski-high, and mostly downbeat and mid-tempo grooves operate beyond the dancefloor.
''Each track is based on a particular Than Sadet aesthetic. For example, 'Mr. Singh' is a masseur on the beach who uses fire while doing his shiatsus. 'Buddha's Bridge' is a wooden bridge that leads to an impressive Buddha monument; Seven Kings' is an ode to a local waterfall. Tracks like 'Mai Pen Rai' and 'When Light Gives You Hope' are representative for Than Sadet. I tried to create an introspective album that does what the island did to me: it puts life into perspective.''

After the warm welcome of Amsafe Traxx 1,Kristina returns with Traxx 2 a new 12" one track each side, that will be available in record shops early september.
Side A, this time is signed by Modellover, a track produced by the tandem of Kristina and the respected producer Eduardo de la Calle. This new duet is designed by both artists to publish cuts with a high emotional content with connotations and influences rooted to the first American Electro sound, serving as guide and inspiration artists like The Other People Place And or Japanese Telecom.
A track certainly very emotional and optimistic driven from its center by a sub frequency and a flashing mesmerizing melody that is accompanied by sporadic effects hi hats and arrangements that make each compas something unique and different from the previous.
On the B side appears Deforming Reality,a track signed by Kristina, focused again in the dancefloor.
The peculiarity of the track lies in an unexpected esamblaje in the middle of it. The first part very dynamic, is marked by a sound with dub character that constantly transmuted through effects .After the central stop the track begins to distort reality which initially gave life giving way to a second part reminds an atmospheric version of 'dark silhouette' and published on the first catalog record ( Traxx 1) making clear the taste of Kristina for dark and symmetric sounds that characterize her.

Although this is the first release Vin Sol has put out through Ultramajic you can't help but appreciate their synchronicity, both the label and Vin Sol have an uncompromising vision for their work.
Its been a busy year for Vin Sol. After inaugurating his own imprint 'Club Lonely' in May, he went on to release two more EP's.
Now the San Francisco native is back again with his debut EP on Ultramajic.
Although this is the first release Vin Sol has put out through Ultramajic you can't help but appreciate their synchronicity, both the label and Vin Sol have an uncompromising vision for their work. Ultramajic's overarching aesthetic and dedication to cutting edge, energetic house and techno and Vin's lively veneration of old school midwestern jack tracks sit perfectly together.
'Instinct' is a straightforward introduction to the EP, bleeps and a pounding kick drum carry the track to a frenzied finale. '1314' ushers in a darker atmosphere, born out of a combination of simple elements Vin manages to twist and build a unique energy. In 'Can't Cope' Vin utilizes a complex drum pattern to drive the track forward, never losing the momentum of the dance floor. Longtime friend Matrixxman steps up for a remix of the title track. Taking things back to basics Matrixxman strips it back for a pitched down minimal intro before reintroducing the bleeps and cymbals.

Rising Amsterdam-based star Esther Duijn leads the charge with a hypnotic, understated slice of dub techno that grooves in all the right places. Label boss Brothers' Vibe then steps up with a sharp-edged, percussion led workout that blooms into a fulsome, acidic jam laced with techno futurism and pure machine soul. German production duo youANDme are regular collaborators with Brothers' Vibe, and here they join forces for the tough, drum-pounding Playing With Toys. Rodriguez also takes the opportunity to unveil the Silent Rodgerz alias, championing the Toad Red vision with a daring, experimental trip through abstractmodular-synthesizer processes that build towards a jacking rhythmic throw-down.
A Dazzling Awareness, an imperfect awakening of the senses. Have you ever been in that situation, when you can't percept anything all around you and your own mind is into a state of reverie Where you can only feel the pain of being lost in your own space Well, this is the moment to go ahead and fight face to face to your unconscious. Meaningless ideas, coming to your head, stunning your feelings, and now you can feel a harbinger, to a dramatic state of life. Be brave, be strong. Wake yourself up in a way to escape and, find a meaning to feel alive and feel your senses once again. Faith will guide you into the path of light, and then, that light will lead you to the journey of the perfect daydream.

Seasoned memory athletes will no doubt recall the Turbo's past affiliation with the former Soviet Union (Proxy, Tiga Tigayevich Khristorozhdestvensky), and recent geopolitical developments have prompted the label to once again hedge its bets. Our A&R team spent countless hours sifting through layer after layer of Russian underground music, a shocking amount of which turned out to be fake SoundCloud accounts from producers based in Florida. In fact, our best intelligence suggests that Dimitri Veimar may be the only person making music in Russia today. For the 30 minutes a day he is not trading in politically moderate Twitter-bot futures, Veimar produces dark, raw-dog electro. He has already released music with Omnidisc and Renate, so it makes little sense to us why we have to communicate with him via a mole in the Canadian embassy in Moscow, which is further complicated by the fact that the mole is also an aspiring DJ/producer whom we have to keep happy at all costs. You have no idea how much has been sacrificed in order to shield you from the realpolitik of international dance music.
Kmyle is back after his powerful EP Skryptöm 28, with a new massive one.
In this upcoming masterpiece he is combining emotional and energetic forces and created 3 techno weapons that will probably have a huge impact on the dancefloor. These 3 tracks are designed with sensibility and precision. Kmyle defines his personal signature by this efficient work, completed in the best way by none other than Voiski who deliver us a deep and intelligent remix. Enjoy !

Described as 'the start of something special' by Simon Shreeve / Mønic and 'full of depth and texture' by Kamikaze Space Programme, Other Form's debut EP 'Unmarked Paths' lands on the artist's Unknown Movements label on 12th May. The EP's five tracks all began life as jams on analogue hardware, and there's a fat, noisy, intentionally-imperfect feel to each. Amidst the 'floor-conscious urgency of the two sides' opening pieces, the other three explore slower, darker territory — and all are glued together by a foreboding atmosphere rich in sepulchral reverb and analogue hiss. Killawatt calls it 'Wonderfully fluid techno.'

The fourth Hotflush release of 2017 comes from Minneapolis-based DJ and producer, TML. He made his debut in 2014 with One Inch of Water, an album in cassette form via Always Human Tapes. His style takes cues from the bass and jungle halcyon days of yore, yet in his hands these influences are pestled into anything but nostalgia.
No Memory looks forward to a place where pigeonholes don't exist; where past, present and future boil an amalgamated stew; where 'experimental' and 'clubby' aren't effective antonyms. It's an album in miniature - six tracks spanning a broad range. The unmistakable taste of jungle pervades side A, becoming increasingly less abstract as it goes: from the fractured opening of 'Face Pads', through the dub of 'Cold Sleep', to the sunrise head bang that is 'Crying'. Side two moves inside. It's darker there. The tunes - 'Strainer', 'RHU' and 'Code Library' - share a paredbackness. Their beats look askance as they shuffle big and bold.

Keep your eyes open because this September the mighty Serkal imprint drops its 8th vinyl release coming from Saved Records' Clio and backed up with Luca Agnelli's remix.
New York has always been famous for its Garage and House scene. Serkal has put the American city on the Techno map, releasing a series of quality records coming from producers all over the world. In September they present another strong package, 'Leave Me Alone EP', this time out on physical support, featuring the talented Berlin - based but French - born producer Clio. After releasing on Saved Record, Clio now offers up three tracks which move towards different genres, from Dub techno to raw House, clearly showcasing the producer's influences. The title track is a brainy and dark House cut driven by straight grooves, ethereal vocals and deep pad melodies. Desolat and Be As One's Luca Agnelli offers up his version of 'Leave Me Alone', a monstrous Techno dance-floor killer Berghain inspired. Following is 'Wanna Tell You', a melanchonic raw House track in which sampled vocals are fused with industrial sounding bass lines. The EP closes with 'What Is Life', an hypnotic Tech House tune in pure Serkal's style.

Social Experiment Records teams up with one of Toronto's true old school techno legends, Greg Gow for the artist's stunning debut LP, 'Lost Days'... Greg Gow has been a respected ambassador of Toronto's electronic music scene for nearly threedecades, championing his long running Restructured label since 2001, DJ'ing in the cities keyclubs since the 90s and bringing the fruits of his relationship with neighbouring Detroit back to his hometown. It is his connection to the Motor City that has brought him attention over recent years, spurred on in large part by his signing to Derrick May's legendary Transmat imprint in 2009 with the techno anthem 'The Bridge'. This was to play a pivotal role in the regeneration of Transmat at the time and lead to further releases for Gow on the imprint, a record on Kevin Saunderson's KMS label and appearances at the Movement festival. Gow's sound speaks of this close affinity between these two great cities with a smoky, gritty dub inflection that permeates every bar of this his stunning debut album. He has long been a local legend in Toronto's scene but now there is a real sense that this LP is set to propel this unsung hero on to techno's global stage. The 'Lost Days' LP kicks off with 'Inception', a late night ambient soundtrack that conjures up a sleeping urban metropolis, before 'Fly Tipping' slides into a soul infused Detroit groove that is slow and sensuous, spaced out and smooth. Cleverly upping the ante, 'Curl De Sac' takes a dubby, deep rolling house direction with well crafted synths extending in all directions before 'Refractions' re-sets the mood with brooding and beatless chords, found sound details and gentle breaking waves. The latter half of this most coherent journey starts with a classic dub techno cut in 'Lost Days', rippled with electric static and underpinned by firm rubber kicks, before 'Still Life' shows off Gow's mastery of his synths: they ripple into the distance and bring a sense of serenity as they build to a peak then dissipate once more. It's a faultless demonstration of tension and energy as 'Too Late' gets more forceful and driven but no less deep and cerebral with its hypnotic stabs and subtle rhythms. Closing opus 'Beyond Time' is a blissful final interlude that sounds like a spaceship drifting through the cosmos as the captain mutters into his PA. That final track rounds out a truly outstanding collection of electronic music that is imbued with warm techno soul and makes sense both on intimate dancefloors as well as up close in headphones. The album itself was mixed down at Toronto's go-to facility, Treatment Centre Studios, and it's clear that every sonic detail has been treated with the respect it deserves. Greg Cow's debut album has been a long time coming but it has certainly been worth the wait. It is a testament to his true talents as a producer and is another milestone marker for the ever impressive Social Experiment Records.

Nathan Fake's fourth album, Providence, crafted in the wake of a crippling two year spell of writer's block. Is his most personal and profoundly emotional work to date.
.
Providence sees the British producer collaborate with vocalists for the first time, joining forces with Prurient (aka Vatican Shadow / founder of Hospital Productions) and Raphaelle Standell-Preston from Braids. Both arose from chance meetings in Geneva and Osaka as their tour schedules crossed. Prurient contributed the heavily distorted vocal to 'DEGREELESSNESS' - I was a huge fan of Dominic's (Prurient) music before we met and I love the way he situates his vocals in his productions. I really like how you can't make out what he's saying at all...' - whilst Raphaelle, who lends her voice to 'RVK', was introduced to Nathan by their mutual friend Jon Hopkins. I deliberately kept the first half of the track instrumental and I love the way her vocal lands,' he says. It's quite unexpected when she starts singing.'
It's the quickest album I've written and because of that it's got a close thread running throughout,' says Nathan of his creative process. It also has a distinct sonic signature as a result of the producer refreshing his set-up. I was feeling nostalgic and bought a cheap Korg Prophecy on a whim and it ended up being the backbone of the album,' he explains. I remember reading an article in Sound On Sound back in 1995-96 and I didn't really know much about music production then, but I remember thinking that it must be AMAZING. As it turns out, it's actually quite crap really... It's very hard to program, looks unimpressive, doesn't sound great (laughs), but I recorded it through loads of different pre-amps and tape and mixers and roughed it up. I'm always intrigued by low-end gear, I like the challenge and the limitations it poses.'
Norfolk born and bred, Nathan's first encounters with electronic music came via the radio (hearing the likes of Aphex Twin and Orbital) and reading about the equipment that they used in magazines. This was the stimulus for him to buy some gear and begin his own sonic experiments and, linking with James Holden in 2003, Nathan's early output came via his fledgling Border Community label. His debut album Drowning In A Sea Of Love' (2006) was a triumphant record, drawing a rapturous reception from the likes of Pitchfork, The Guardian and Mixmag (who hailed it among the best of the year). Recording two further albums for Border Community, Hard Islands' (2009) and Steam Days' (2012), Nathan found himself in frantic touring mode for two years and, in this nomadic state, found it impossible to write any new music. On his return, events in his personal life intertwined with, and exacerbated, this creative block. I didn't write any music at all for about two years,' Nathan explains. Overall there was roughly a three year break from writing.'
Emerging from this extended period of inactivity with renewed vigour and lust for life, Providence was recorded during the first six months of 2016 in Nathan's home studio / living room. The meaning behind the title is two-pronged: on the one hand it's a nod to the aforementioned Korg Prophecy synth that features so heavily on the record. But on a deeper level it means guidance or divine guidance' - not necessarily in a religious sense but more to be guided by a higher power - or more specifically to Nathan, music as therapy and a path out of a dark period in his life.

This album has its origins 17 yeas ago in early 2000, before Chain Reaction released the legendary Ship-Scope 12'. Three of the tracks here are taken from an acetate cut at Dubplates & Mastering at that time but which wouldn't see the light of day until now, including another batch of tracks taken from original masters. Only 5 copies of that acetate were ever made so this is the first time any of these tracks are available for public consumption and, for our money, rank among the finest and
most distinctive in either the Chain Reaction or Shinichi Atobe's vaults.
The material is effectively some of the Japanese producer's earliest work, showcasing the sort of tender, feminine pressure that would bubble up on the Ship-Scope EP and later be revealed in his new productions, Butterfly Effect and World yet, for many reasons, they would lay sunk in his archive for the next 17 years.
The tracks taken from that acetate are labelled First Plate 1-3 and really are quite remarkable, having taken on so much character and added weight over the years that the incidental crackle
of surface noise imbues proceedings with an added dimension that's hard to fathom. It basically sounds like a lost transmission making its way from Paul-Lincke-Ufer at the turn of the millennium
to a new, completely changed world all these years later.
The patina of crackle lends a mist-on-bare skin feeling akin to summer garden parties at Berghain in the stepping First Plate 1, and gives a foggier sort of depth perception to the hydraulic,
Maurizian heft of First Plate 2, but it's the submerged euphoria of First Plate 3 that hits the hardest; a heady, bittersweet reminder of days gone by.The other four tracks are crisply transferred from master tapes, relinquishing a sublime, impossible to categorise House variant that recalls everything from DJ Sprinkles to Ron Trent, yet with that weird, timeless production tick that by now has become something of a signature for this most distinctive and hard to categorise producer.

Garden Of God's Sodai imprint continues to unearth creative production talent from the label's native city of Vilnius with the third and latest artist from the city to feature on the label. Introducing Talassa Barda for his debut introducing three expertly crafted techno cuts.
Lead track Wolf has a howling big room sound effect and a dark Techno underbelly. Human with it's haunting like qualities develops into a peak time monster that is sure to thunder in vast spaces over the summer. Finally, Bleed is a rolling acid tinged track that fuses electro, breakbeat and techno for possibly the most interesting of all three.
Jon Gaiser returns with full length album 'III' on Minus Throughout his career, Jon Gaiser has been synonymous with forward thinking techno and sensory stimulating live audiovisual shows. Mixing up both analogue and digital recording techniques, his abstract music never fails to be both cerebral and cinematic as well as fresh and physical, never ceasing to place you right in the center of his own special universe. Since 2014's 'False Light', Jon has continued to headline shows around the world, while constantly producing new material to test in his live sets. Always evolving whilst remaining true to his singular vision for techno, this trained percussionist and skilled drummer once again confounds expectation with his latest opus. New Release Information The album kicks off with the introductory 'Wirelife'. Rolling beats underpin a percolating synth line and sci-fi sound effects that immediately get you in the groove. 'Stringtest' and 'Facefall' seamlessly round out the first chapter with oodles of pure minimal funk and rubbery bass, curious song details and subtle effects. The next chapter touches on darker, hard hitting rhythms in 'Doorway', freaky dehumanized vocals with 'Rubdown' and choppy house styles on 'Out Too', but all exude humid atmospheres and an inviting sense of otherworldly charm. The last trio of tracks completes this fascinating story with the shuffling drums of 'How's That', the colorful melodies of 'For Balance' and playful widescreen vibes of 'On The Way'. When all the tracks here are added together into one musical experience, it makes for a fluid, expertly programmed ride that takes you somewhere new and exciting, as is always the case with the one and only Gaiser.

The inaugural release of recently established Copenhagen-based label Petrola 80, is a fresh 12" EP produced by the danish producer and dj duo Lyra. The EP consists of three sample-based tracks, all equally different in sound and dynamics, while still contributing to the same framework. The characterizing energy and playful experiments in sound are sustained throughout the entire record, of which the three tracks vary from gritty, hard-hitting techno to obscure and evolving ambient.

Perc Trax vs. PoleGroup is a collaboration between Perc's imprint Perc Trax and PoleGroup, in which each of the labels champions their recognizable dark techno sound, with their own clear identity and vision of the current techno scene.
The collaboration has already got off to a good start with several successful showcases at the infamous Tresor club in Berlin, with line-ups certainly worth mentioning that include Perc, Oscar Mulero, Reeko, Truss, Exium, Ancient Methods and many more.
Aside from the showcases, the labels will be exchanging artists for some of their releases: the first instalment is a four-track EP with Reeko and Christian Wunsch representing PoleGroup, and Perc Trax label head Perc, together with Greek producer Sawf, doing the job for Perc Trax. This EP is scheduled to be released at the beginning of November.
Be prepared for the second instalment, coming out in December on Perc Trax with Oscar Mulero, Exium, Forward Strategy Group and Manni Dee.

The danish label Echocord Records was formed 15 years ago this year by Kenneth Christiansen. It will now be celebrated with a compilation plus a big tour around it. We are super happy and proud that we can still continue releasing quality electronic music.
The compilation contains 10 tracks from 10 artists that all have been releasing on Echocord and Echocord Colour before from veterans Mikkel Metal, Deadbeat, Fluxion to newer signed artist Arovane.
All tracks are new and unreleased.
"15 Years With Echocord" covers the typical Echocord sound. From ambinet/chillout by STL, stoned dub by Beat Pharmacy, to typical Dub-Techno and House from Fluxion, Resoe and XDB, to the more dancefloor peak tracks by Mike Dehnert and Deadbeat.
Lets do another 15 years .

The vision of techno is presented by seven producers from electronic music scene of Poland.
The well-known artists - Blazej Malinowski i Michal Wolski, who work intensivly over new productions, promote polish scene abroad with liveacts ans dj sets, are resposible for radio broadcasts on which they bring valuable information in relation to electronic music to the listeners.
ISNT, a very well know female dj and promotor, who has recently started producing hypnotic techno productions.
Less known, and deeply dark, developing project - the OBKT, which is the result of the cooperation of two well-known dark techno producers Milena Kriegs and Eastern Renaissance.
Together with them on the compilation, the lesser-known producers are completing and emphasizing the character of the compilation, Nternal Bserver (read: Internal Observer), who has already released several EP's, and who focuses on playing varied and heavier sound during liveacts. TRNAH, a female producer with a lot of experience on musical collaborations, who shows with her charming song, that a techno album containing more powerful and hypnotic sound can also be filled with nostalgia and exceptionally captivating sadness.
