A year ago we released 'It's All Over' as the first entry in our Blanc series. Ori- ginally an anonymous track, by the time John Talabot's DJ Kicks unveiled that the artist behind it was no other than Pional, the song had already captivated thousands with it's moody atmosphere and poignant vocals. It was pressed back then as a vinyl-only release limited to 100 copies. But the project was yet not comple- te. From the beginning we had the idea of re-issuing the track in another 12' with remixes. And here it is.

The vinyl includes remixes by label boss John Talabot and young Belgian producer Locked Groove. In his first remix for Hivern in five years, JT maintains the gloomy vibe of the original track but strips down it's elements, adding an extra bassline a spooky melodies to boost it's dancefloor appeal. On the flip, Locked Groove transforms the song into a soothing house cut with deep pads, trance-inducing per- cussion and soaring strings. Both remixes have been staples in Talabot's and Hivern's acquaintances sets over the last months.

The digital bundle also includes the highly sought-after original version, a second take on Talabot's remix and an alternate version by Pional himself. The cover is a painting by Pau Lo´pez Pen~alver, who has also directed the track's video together with Spanish director Tomas Pena.

Chicago's DJ SKULL and DJ METAL X team up on this 4 track house EP. Their 1st official joint release features 4 slammin' underground house and techno cuts with persuasive drums & edgy synth keys that will keep the crowd moving all night long. Out on Chicago's own WAX CANDY records.

UK legends Ben Sims and Mark Broom are on remix duty for Truncate's first remix EP. Also Truncate reworks his own track 'Concentrate' on the flip side.

From mountains and forests in Nagano, Hideo Kobayashi arrived on the San Francisco club scene and was inspired by west coast flavored deep house sounds; his name was cemented through his projects such as Children of the Drums on Chez Music and Nagano Kitchen with Jerome Sydenham on Ibadan Records.Having spend hectic schedule for djing most weekends with local and international Djs, he discovered his ability for bringing out the deeply aggressive side of tech house earn him a spot a tour every year since he was on tour in Europe enthusing every floors on 2007. Then he drew on these global experiences for his 1st album "ZERO" on 2009, assimilating and incorporating his significant balance of underground and overground touches.That led him into busy days for remixing works and releasing quality sounds on op dance music labels such as Defected, Kingstreet sounds, Renaissance, Ibadan and Apt. International.

Prior to the release of Deepchord's 3rd full length on Soma, we are pleased to deliver yet another exclusive, limited edition picture disc in the form of 3 track ambient piece, 'De Wallen'. This specially crafted EP is strictly limited to one vinyl only run and features photography by Rod Modell himself.

De Wallen's layers of deep, swirling, metaphysical atmosphere and processed recordings of the area that it is named after, provide a sonic-photograph of Amsterdam's red-light district at 3am. Possibly the only soundtrack ever composed for this area. Otherworldly, and charged with a deep frenetic energy, this music presents an inter-dimensional portal into darker realms. Electromagnetic radiation etched into a piece of vinyl for phonographic dispersion. This is a unusual piece of "sound art" rather than merely electronic music, and has little (or nothing) to do with dance music's frivolity. Side B of this release reflects De Wallen's "sound art" aesthetic. "Prayer Wheel" is a generative-music life form (inspired by the night-sky and seaside) that expands, contracts, and mutates like a living organism. "Range Lights" is a luminescent sonic artefact, recently unearthed after years of being buried. The analog warmth and imperfections inherent of the vinyl format further the surreal nature of these artworks in a way that no digital format could reproduce. A new paradigm in "sound art". Immersive, shimmering, electro-mystical atmospheres that the adventurous sonic-traveller will find themselves often revisiting.

After celebrating Rebekah´s label membership with several memorable appearances at CLR events and her excellent edition of On 30.08.2013 CLR will release the debut album of our new label member Drumcell entitled 'Sleep Complex", an emotionally profound, open-minded approach to current Techno with a variety of influences and a complete disregard for any limitations musical genres could possibly represent. A few basic facts about the life of this dedicated Techno activist will help you understand the absorbing atmosphere of this exceptional record even better. To cut a long story short, Drumcell was still just young Moe Espinosa, a local East L.A. kid who was heavily into listening and playing rock and industrial music, when he coincidentally found some of the heroic synthesizers of the first hour of Techno in the closet of a recording studio where he had been hired for a job. From this very minute on - things just jelled. If you imagine a technology geek / science-fiction-movies-loving teenage-outsider with a yearning punk rock soul, together with a TR-909, a TR-808 and a TB-303 in the back room of an old Latin House label in Hollywood, then you are pretty much imagining the humble beginnings of the man who started calling himself Drumcell around the year 2000 and who has dedicated his life to the search and creation of mind expanding, glorious sounds. His first vinyl record was hand-pressed and hand-wrapped in an L.A. garage, and when he handed out some copies of it on the following Detroit Electronic Music Festival, it was played on various festival stages the very next day. This immediate enthusiasm gave him enough power and endurance to go all the way and follow his dream uncompromisingly.

Lowkey & Kardinal are undoubtedly the most excited French techno duo at the moment. After several success on AFULAB , Lowkey & Kardinal return with a massive track called "suspicious mind" on our own label.

Mark Henning makes a welcome return to Soma with yet more jaw dropping tracks with the Blackout EP. Going back to his analogue roots, Mark has crafted two tough floor burners laden with his signature funked up basslines and crafty drum programming.

Title track Blackout rocks in with melted vocal samples over that ominous 909 kick, building slowly with a lush pad, the perfect intro to what will follow...Mark brings a perfectly sequenced bassline that growls yet remains as funky as can be. Layers of hi hats work their way as the bassline mutates in the background. Mark keeps this this track deep as the pad once again glides in giving a bit of Motor City feel. This is real machine funk.

On Jack & Jill Henning keeps it stripped back but no less driving. This is a full on analogue monster. A melodic synth line backed by straight up 909 drums work this track into a frenzy with complete ease. With the mere opening of filters and simplistic use of the revered drum machine Mark has built a track that will whip any dance floor up.

A firm favourite at Soma, Mark always delivers the good and with this EP of machine fuelled techno he looks to set things alight with his unique and quirky production.

nofitstate chalk up their 3rd release with the much talked about Swedish duo Mr. Tophat and Art Alfie providing 'Vretis', an elongated groove fit to bursting with tension thanks to its extended filtered intro. 'Locked Groove' provides the remix on the flip, opting for a more blissfully melodic approach for those early morning sessions whilst 'Takelant' rounds things off in fine style with a low down and dirty slice of machine-phunk.

As the autumn draws in, Komisch calls again on Italian poducer P.God for another atmospheric release and fans of 'Neptune IV' record back in 2011 won't be disappointed.

Lead track 'Winter Solstice' achieves the rare feat of blending atmospherics with functionality, as a dark, prowling groove builds up, its pummelling, primal drums, dry hats and fatty bass providing the backing for an eerie synth sequence that swirls through the arrangement.

'Ecliptic' is more esoteric, with Dioguardi conjuring up dreamy pads that ride a hypnotic, tripped out groove, but the Italian artist's slick arranging and subtle percussive ticks ensure that things don't get too deep.

Finally, there's 'Module 1', which highlights a different side to P.God. Gone are the synths, replaced by stomping drums, doubled up claps and sleek metallic snares that are full of the malicious intent of an assassion's blade.

Pack constists of 3x limited transparant sampler EPs and the 2xCD. Field Records is to release a 2CD compilation of music from the labels artists old and new entitled simply, Collection. The imprint keeps up the Dutch tradition of releasing deep, Detroit-inspired electronic music with high-class contributions from various artists. Built on minimalism and modesty, the boutique label has expanded into a consortium for quality since first emerging in 2008. Artists such as Conforce, Delta Funktionen, DJ Sprinkles, Steffi, Mark Du Mosch and many other assured talents have all appeared on the label before now with sounds that range from deep, classically include house to more rough edged and raw techno. It's much the same case on this expansive new two CD release, which will also be offered up as 3 x vinyl sampler. Across both CDs, established artists rub shoulders with more recently emerging talents and plenty of coherent and creative ground is covered in the exclusive new tracks.

Everything Comes To An End: While researching the 'acidic sense' in nights of 'insomnia' aware that 'everything comes to an end' serenity came to my mind: 'acid saves my sanity'.

After her much lauded debut 'Playin' Me' last year, Cooly G returns with an EP that switches from songwriting mode to create extended, spaced out and rhythmic house tracks built for the dancefloor. 'Hold Me' starts with minor note stabs and Cooly's vocal refrain 'Hold me' over a punchy bassline. The rhythm slowly builds as the vocal becomes more dubbed out and the atmosphere more smokey. 'Oi Dirty', made with DVA, is a piece of wonky, rhythmically lopsided house with a cavernous elasticized bassline and lots of micro detail destabilising the track then bringing it back, pitching drums and mini breakdowns. 'Molly' is a slow burning 4/4 house track built around a static grid that gradually builds up, getting stiffer and more intense, with wobbly acid-like synth lines and hissing static stabs, underpinned by a one note bass kick. It's a masterclass in creating tension with sleight of hand production moves.

After his debut LP "Event Horizon" which came out earlier this year Exploit shifts to exploring the inner space rather than outer space. Melancholic "Downshift" is full of synthesized string sounds and atmospheric arpeggios. The B-side, "Shift Down", uses a similar syncopated rhythm for strings, but eventually developes into a large dancefloor-bomb.

'Grassroots' is by no means a political statement. It is true that this project has emerged from and was widely influenced by recent political and social events in Ukraine that resulted in many people being wounded and killed. However, its only aim is to provide support and help to families affected by those events - hence 'music-driven charity project' would be the most suitable description for it.

The compilation comprises of two CDs: representing Ukrainian artists and international guests who have performed in Ukraine over the course of their careers, respectively. Both parts are arranged specifically to create a proper musical flow that ranges from intro-like ambient interludes to more of a dancefloor friendly sounds and back to downtempo/experimental beginnings. It goes without saying that the content of the compilation is rather diverse, since each CD offers music from artists representing different scenes and backgrounds.

The first CD kicks off with ambient tinged 'Alta' by Klockworks affiliated artist Etapp Kyle and then goes on in a similar vein through Woo York's abstract rhythms and Subforms' dub techno chords. The infamous Vakula provides a bridge between the first part of the CD and its four-to-the-floor course by his sample-fuelled 'Little Improvisation'. The mission is picked up by SE62 and his MLIU-flavored house tune and Stanislav Tolkachev's signature trippy techno. Sunchase's bass explorations and Kotra's avant-garde experiments then give a proper ending to the Ukrainian part of the project.

Semantica's head honcho Svreca starts the second CD with arguably his most experimental work to date. UK techno hero Perc goes even beyond that sampling the recording of Ukrainian anthem from Maidan and incorporating it into his epic track called 'Eternal'. Dustin Zahn of Enemy Records and Drumcode then gives back dancefloor feel to the project and hands it over to Polish master Jacek Sienkiewicz and former Panorama Bar resident Murat Tepeli who do their best in shaking things up. The CD continues with ASC's industrial-influenced 'Falling apart' that represents the project's edgiest peak and ends up with a beautifully crafted ambient piece by Benny Rodrigues's new project Tears From Malmok.

The debut release from Helsinki-based Etherwerks, ETHER001, is a raw techno cut by producer/DJ Hannu Ikola. The title track Dense Matter glows analog warmth and warehouse atmosphere swirling from dark hypnotic textures to crispy chord sounds echoing dubtechno aesthetics. A mix of fresh breaths with old school reverence from the North. The B side features a remix by another Helsinki based techno producer Samuli Kemppi (OstGut Ton, Mote Evolver).

Etherwerks' second release is an EP titled Triplane by Hannu Ikola. The release includes three unique tracks with a diverse approach to modern techno. Starting off the release, a blend between experimental styles and big room techno, "Black Ingrained Dust" draws from driving rhythmic elements and swelling textures. "Escape Pod" is a cut with classic drum machine aesthetics, echoing the golden age of techno. The closing track "Pylon" is a dubby techno heater with growling
synth basses and ghostly detuned chords, presenting a strong analogue flavour.

In a few short years Laurel Halo has demonstrated an unnerving ability to question established idioms in electronic music. Throughout her body of work the Michigan-born producer has expressed musical representations of merged dualities; spirituality in the inorganic, space in the claustrophobic, hope in dread. As a result there's something uncanny about Laurel Halo's sound - the sonic templates may change, but the challenging of divides remains. Laurel Halo returns to LP format after two critically acclaimed EPs with the driving, meditative 'Chance Of Rain'. Evolving from earlier works, it's a cerebral exploration of the intersection between rhythmic and ambient music, drawing together moments of movement and stillness, psychedelia and presence of mind. On 'Chance Of Rain', rhythms melt with unpredictable structures, ambient drift and deep harmonic passages, while keyboard-based interludes reinforce both the far-out and contemplative aspects of the record as a whole. Halo's evolution as a live performer has directed her music's development in part, as the tracks on 'Chance Of Rain' are fleshed out versions of live hardware improvisations. This LP is far off from the definition of a traditional dance long player; where tracks like 'Serendip', 'Chance Of Rain' and 'Ainnome' invite with infectious grooves, others like 'Oneiroi', 'Still/Dromos' and 'Thrax' invert these energies, revealing sinister potential in the process. Again Halo's knack for illusory detail and sound design shines, and another duality feeling emerges, this time one of unearthly joy. Drawing inspiration from the music of her home state's music capital Detroit, in both harmonic and rhythmic palettes, the music showcases freedom within metric constructs, and skyward optimism in the face of decay. The album comes packaged with artwork created by her father, an NYC-born, Michigan-based visual artist whose work focuses on industrial landscapes of Michigan and the Rust Belt at large. The artwork here is an early work of his from the 1970s, reflecting the album's twisted, hopeful tone. 'Chance Of Rain' was mastered and cut by Rashad Becker at Dubplates & Mastering, Berlin.

Where Are We Heading' EP is a sequel to the stunning entry by Tapirus (Rotterdam's very own
Charlton), and offers greater room for the artist to roam, breathe, flex and grow.

Behind the success of 'Acid Love Story', which received notable plays by Surgeon on Rinse.FM and
Blawan at Awakenings, this follow-up effort recalls the signature elements established in the first,
while displaying a quest by the artist for refinement and progress.

In introspective fashion, the title track 'Where Are We Heading' questions the forward march by
mankind with a Mr. Fingers touch providing pause in between the war. Offering up his interpretation
on B2 is Credit 00 or Alexander Dorn out of Dresden, Germany.

Adding battle call drums and a kind of majesty, he rallies new life to the mix, pointing a way forward
in this crazy collective experience we call life.

'As I'm Going Through Suffering in Life' carries with it certain acceptance: that through pain, lasers
and adversaries, life goes on. While on the other side, 'I Really Wonder When We'll Meet Again' is the
EP's bittersweet refrain - our heartbreak hero narrating part deux of his doleful tale. The result is a vicious, acidic loop wandering through love's cruel matrix.

Remastered from the original tapes by Rashad Becker in Berlin, and with a new sleeve reimagined by acclaimed Barcelona-based designer Arnau Pi (Young Turks, Hivern Discs, DJ Kicks). Includes two lost pieces from the original sessions and never before heard, left off because Pathé Marconi EMI considered them to be 'too futuristic'!

"As a long-time fixture at the far-end of my Euro-electronic shelf this Gallic-magnetic conceptual synth-pop classic has been in risky disc-jockey orbit waiting over 30 years for the right time to touch-down on planet earth to re-fuel. With the recent critical resurrection of Jodorowsky's un-made version of Herbert's sci-fi blast-masterpiece and more and more electronic music fans veering from dance-music into the sub-genres of PINA and Dark Ambient the eve of the original novels 50 year anniversary seems like the perfect time to unleash this lost slice of Zeuhl-skool modular-pop constructed by Grenoble born synthesist Bernard Szajner. His previous CV of creating lazer light shows for the likes of Gong and Magma earned him enough Kobian stripes to scale an authentic bridge between Zeuhl rock and early synth-pop amongst bands like Eskaton, Art Zoyd and Stabat Stable but the inclusion of Magma vocalist (and comic artist) Klaus Blasquiz and drummer Clément Bailly earns VOD the Wüdü wax seal. Few LPs manage to successfully connect so many important dots in French outer-rocks vast colouring book where Igor Whakhevitch meets Jean Michel Jarre via Massiera, Gilbert Deflez, Hydravion and Artefact... Zed however paints every page black (and silver) and is still one leaf ahead."

Raw analogue alchemies delivered with all the sleek and polish of its black-on-black casing made Bryan Blacks EDLX debut last year as blackasteroid a truly memorable one, consolidating all of the Motor mans proven Paisley Park-honed engineering capabilities into a succinct and forward-facing EP. Defined by its gritty textures, fizzy white noise manipulations and a signature mechanical hum throughout, Black Acid achieved a uniquely tactile sound quality, reaffirming Bryan Black as a formidable one to watch under his revised blackasteroid guise.

Recently Perc, Alva Noto, Len Faki, Angel Costa and DJ Emerson presented a series of pithy reinventions of the EPs three lead tracks: "Black Acid", "Hydrogen" and "Pressure", turning in a thoroughly versatile remix package complete with fresh nuances ranging from peak time basement material to more pensive headphone moments. A recomposed body of original "Black Acid" sonic material, once more sheathed in stunning minimalistic design this time in reverse: white on white, with contrasting materials (matte laminate on the cover and a high gloss UV varnish in the detail) providing the sole differentiating factor.
This particularly considered art direction was the result of a creative collaboration between Bryan Black (a designer himself and
responsible for the bulk of Motors artwork), Jochem Paap and EDLX designer Jan Willem van den Ban from Enchilada. Knowing all too well that two-or in this case three-heads are better than one, Electric Deluxe are proud to announce 'Deception EP', a new collaboration from Droid brothers Raiz and Jeff Derringer. Though Raiz first appeared-on record-only a few years ago, for a decade now Vidal & Vangelis Vargas, together with Drumcell, have been flying the flag for the west coast techno community as Droid Behaviour-the much touted event collective and label based in LA. Initially operating as the live PA outfit Acid Circus, utilising a blend of hardware and digital programs the pair have long established themselves both as formidable performers and astute producers, with a characteristically dynamic and streamlined approach to sound design. Years of classical training and a rich bed of musical influences also inform the Raiz sound, which takes its cues from Detroit and the deeper side of techno. On the other side of the US: As founder, resident and creative director of Oktave, Jeff Derringer has become a key protagonist of underground techno in Chicago and New York over the last three years. Production-wise, following a stunning Subtrak debut in August 2010, he has since become aligned with Ali Wells' respected Perc Trax imprint with a string of equally well received EPs. For their first studio effort together Raiz and Jeff Derringer go straight for the jugular to deliver two pieces of dangerously robust marching material. From the Berghain-ready 'Deception' to the severely precise 'Deceit' there's nothing misleading about 'Deception EP''s merciless floor orientations. Glaswegian Edit Select rounds off the EP with an atmospherically charged remix that's as haunting as it is hypnotic.

After a nine-year hiatus, Sheree Rashit and Steve Bicknell relaunch Cosmic Records with the Transcendence EP within their LOST RECORDINGS division. Founded in 1993, the label ran in conjunction with the pair's infamous LOST events, which introduced acts such as Jeff
Mills, Robert Hood and Basic Channel to the UK dancefloor. Past
COSMIC releases include productions and remixes from US artists such as Juan Atkins, Tyree Cooper, DJs Funk and Rush alongside prominent UK names working under pseudonyms devised for Cosmic.

Having previously released via Perfecto and Mute, COSMIC has provided a home for Steve Bicknell's releases since its' inception. His next phase continues the LOST RECORDINGS series that began in 1996 with the 8th segment, Transcendence. Comprising 4 untitled tracks in Steve Bicknell's inimitable style - a depiction of the LOST dancefloor - Transcendence, LR 8 is hypnotic with depth and soul, transcending boundaries. Initially vinyl only.

Having previously impressed with vivid blends of cosmic R&B, skewed space-pop, glistening post-ambient soundscapes and mangled, synth-laden grime, rising star Throwing Shade (AKA producer Nabihan Iqbal) demonstrates her dancefloor side with a killer 12" on Happy Skull.
"Chancer" and "Blanx" both retain Iqbal's uniquely intergalactic aesthetic,whilst flitting between jacking, Chicago-influenced house rhythms and jazzy, off-kilter dancefloor grooves. Synths sparkle, while vocal snippets drift in and out of the mix.
The 12" is completed by a riotous, predictably heavyweight remix from Kowton, whose guttural techno grooves are peppered with cut-up samples of Iqbal's distinctive, dreamy vocals.

B2 - Follows on from Manse's recent excursion on the always brilliant Opal Tapes. Slacker is a track that sounds like it could only have been made by Manse, a cacophony of rich sounds that rolls in a delicately off-beat fashion that leaves the listener questioning what they just heard.

All in all, where RSN001 left people wanting more, RSN002 delivers the goods with a punch that is sure to grab your attention from start to finish.

Lucy is back on CLR with another one of his mind-bending, deep and hypnotic Techno productions. Those who have already appreciated his unique approach to modern Techno in previous tracks will surely like the '201 Phasing' EP by the Berlin based, Italian DJ/producer. It contains Lucy´s slow burning original version, an excellent remix by Dadub and a skillfully crafted edit by Chris Liebing. The original version is a sonic journey that unfolds progressively over a time-span of more than 10 minutes, making the introduction of each individual element appear even more meaningful, impactful and exciting. The Stroboscopic Artefacts founder has proven over and over - and now once more, that he belongs to the fraction of inspirational artists who are gifted and sensitive enough to do a track of this kind and keep it interesting and absorbing all the way. The present EP is another big step in his personal evolution and a clear proof of his significance in today´s world of electronic music. Dadub consists of Daniele Antezza and Giovanni Conti and is a duo whose output is underpinned by a mutual curiosity and a love for Lee Scratch Perry´s mixboard experiments. The Stroboscopic Artefacts core artists and mastering wizards have gained much praise for their persistent longing for innovation and the unique textures of their productions. Their pleasantly driving remix of Lucy´s '201 Phasing' impressively keeps their promise of building their tracks completely from scratch, without any random or pre-programmed sounds. Chris Liebing´s 'Triple Bell Edit' is everything you might expect from one of today´s most restless and acclaimed Techno producers.

This year Russell also launched his MPIA3 guise with a pair of 12s on the Avian imprint overseen by Shifted and Ventress, and his debut release for the esteemed R&S has peen produced under this name. Fans of R&S in its original incarnation as an outlet for visceral techno will find much to enjoy across the six tracks on offer, which bristle with the kind of nightmarish energy that characterised the 90s techno output of Dave Clarke, Cristian Vogel and Ben Sims. Opening track 'Crusty Juice' is characterised by a solder iron percussive stomp which sounds like the sun is setting on humanity, while 'Mountain Of Ash' pares back the overdriven kicks for a more subtle roller with an evolving, filtered acid line. Elsewhere Russell also dabbles in classic breakbeat techno ('Roly Poly Babs ', 'Your Orders' and 'Ridge Way'), while the brilliantly titled 'Acid Badger' rivals the opening track for sheer sonic force.

The Maghreban is new to House Music, and doesnt really listen to House Music, which isnt necessarily a bad thing. He has worked extensively in other genres under other names. Looking at House from these sideways perspectives perhaps gives him an interesting angle on it.

The Seed 1 is the first record of the series. Transcendent starts a white label (hand stamped) series besides the regular label output. The first release is by Leeuwardens finest electronic music veteran Marcel Caron, hailing from the North of the Netherlands. He presents two carefully crafted dark haunting uncompromising ambient techno tracks. Prepare for an ultimate dystopia of dark hardware electronics. Including two Hexagon (aka Conforce) remixes for the different hours.Pressing of 150 copies!

Next round for Chymera's "Death by Misadventure" interpretations. The stand-out track from the last package - the King Britt remix - has already been played by Dixon as well as Mano Le Tough at two different Boiler Room events and at Panoramabar. The flipside - the Steve Moore remix- has been described both as a killer tune as well as a comfort pillow, while Chymera's title "Threads" was praised sky-high by all magazines. Now, we can't wait to unleash the second package. This time, both remixes were made for "An Island in Space", definitely one of the highlight tracks of the album. On Side A, Uncanny Valley's Jacob Korn, who just released his debut longplayer "You&Me", turns the tune into an intoxicating hymn somewhere between House and Techno. Catchy, and with a wonderfully positive atmosphere, the track is pure bliss. On the B, Dutch Techno veteran Orlando Voorn delivers a piece of properly driving melodic Techno. Next up on Sudden Drop we have Dutch native and member of ESHU (along with Ivano Tetelepta) Roger Gerressen supplying the luscious beats. 'Faithful' is a spritely groove with elements of dub techno and tech-house with it's lush chords and forward leaning percussion really giving the track a sense of pace. Flip-sides 'Put that Record On' delves deeper with a headier combination of deep bass and spoken 'put that record..' refrain.

CLR's present release is a three tracks EP consisting of Terence Fixmer's follow up of 'Psychik' and two Monoloc remixes of his memorable song 'Lovesick". The originator's brand-new composition 'Psychik (Part 2)' is a smoothly driving, thoroughly absorbing and faultlessly produced Techno track with an uplifting vibe. Terence Fixmer's approach to Techno has always transmitted a certain warmth and sincerity, and in both of his remixes, Monoloc pays respect to this rare talent of the French DJ/producer. The Frankfurt based CLR artist combines the haunting vocals of Cormac with a soft and elegantly rolling beat, creating a mesmerizing, otherworldly atmosphere. Monoloc's gentle and skilful production style wonderfully underlines the depth of the original. All of the three tracks come across deeply soulful, hypnotic and enchanting. CLR075 is a diversified and irresistible EP with an intriguing sonic vision - music for the mind and for the dance floor...

After the massive Acid Youth Of Malibu remixes 12", we definitely needed a follow-up record that could carry the baton at pace. The 15 Dead Minutes are Delinquent Dialect, Dr. Skunkenstein and Heuristic Audio - all seasoned players in the underground electro scene but crucially a trio who 'get' real techno and have no qualms in speeding it up and fighting dirty.

What we have here is a collection of raw and frenzied battle tools cut straight from a series of wild hardware sessions, where distortion runs free and sound waves run riot. On the a-side 'Purge The Pious' recalls the burning intensity of '90s techno in a penetrating style that is 100% T15DM, followed by the marauding acidic electro of '20 Parts Per Million' that'll no doubt score bonus points with fans of their previous 12" on Trensmat.
On the flip, the surging 'Your Belief Is Broken' continues along a sinister path, with a spitting lead synth that manages to be uplifting yet equally unnerving. 'Ugly Growths' closes out the record and lives up to its name - a lunging attack of mutant acid that highlights the trio's love for crawling sound textures and mad sequences.

Cause Records is the project by the most famous (and married) hard-techno couple: PETDuo. Straight from Brasil, but based in Berlin these days, PETDuo is well-known for their extremely energetic life-sets and bestselling releases on CANNIBAL SOCIETY / NERVEN / INFLICTED to name just a few..

After the excellent 'Don't Go' by Amir Alexander secretsundaze return with their first release of 2014 presenting another stunning EP by the extremely talented Flori aka Jamie Taylor. This will be Flori's 3rd appearance on secretsundaze having released 'Shelter' with regular partner Ethyl complete with Rolando remix back in 2012 and also his highly acclaimed 'Lucy' EP.

a1 'What It Is' starts off with a call to arms with its direct, brooding and muscular grunt. Slowly waves of atmosphere lap into the mix taking the track in a surprising deeper direction but never losing momentum before the menacing riff rears its head again leading the track back to its low slung, powerful beginnings. b1. 'Drum 1' is a perky number with its fizzing hats and sneaky synth line that will worm its way into your head. This is a tooly drum track but with lots of character and charm. Last up b2 'Baci' takes things on a moody and slightly sinister tip with its technoid groove and eerie pads.
Definitely one for fans of Fred P and DJ Qu. Still with plenty of drive this can be played early doors or very late.

'Within Reason EP' is another example of why Flori is one of the the UK's finest, yet underrated young underground house / techno producers.

From his beginnings as F.U.S.E. on Warp, Richie Hawtin has come a long way in the minimal techno game. The Plastikman project now offers up "EX (Performed live at the Guggenheim, NYC)" on Mute. A hugely welcome return, this is his first album under this pseudonym since 2003's seminal 'Closer'. EX was recorded live at the Guggenheim, NYC sometime last year and is a modern update on the hypnotic, slowed-down acid trax that he was a pioneer of way back in 93'. Throughout the seven track album we are treated to his trademark brand of twisted squelchy 303 acid lines, but with a modern backdrop of psychedelic synth lines of epic proportions. There are echos of classic Plastik in the 'Spastik'-like ball bearing snares of 'EXpire' to the more moody tracks like 'EXtend' and onto the sedate house of 'EXtrude' rendering this album the perfect soundtrack for introverted solo missions and late nights wondering around empty art galleries and basement nightclubs.

The second album by Valanx called 'Ejecta' (18-diam.) gets the remix treatment. Four artists, each with their own unqiue sound, have reworked their favourite track of the album and gave the music their own twist and sound. The Exaltics turns 'Beyond doubt' into a dark brooding metallic industrial beast with a strong and dominant sub bass line that will damage your speakers.
CRC, one half of the finnish electro masters Morphology creates a trippy psychedelic techno epic on his take of the track 'Chasm' and showcases a masterpiece of drum programming and creation of atmosphere. On the flip, 'Trail of conjuration' gets the remix treatment by ADMX-71 aka Adam X. His version takes the tribal aspects of the original and turns it into a dark industrial techno drenched track that immediately lets you think of an old abandoned warehouse drowned in strobe light and fog and a massive rave taking place.
Last but not at all least it is Louis Haiman's turn and he creates a wonderful deep dub techno track out of 'Legion v2'. The sub bass and deep chords are whirling and will hypnotize the listener with endless echoes and reverbs. 300 handnumbered limited vinyl copies only. No digital distribution.

I think thank-yous are way overdue so I'd like to take this opportunity to acknowledge everyone involved in the project as these have been a really amazing four months. Enough nonsense and let's back to business, or the purpose of this text: I (drumroll) proudly present the final 5 re-interpretations from some talented friends. It's an honour for me to have Francesco's techno, David's modular madness, Jake's synthwork and Martin's melodies all in one package, but being both fan and friend of everyone on board I'd be blatantly biased in describing this record's contents. So, since it's 2014, why don't we switch banalities, skip the 'description' and 'let the music do the talking' (ugh, did I really just write that) Thank you all! PS. Drawing influence from such pretentious sources as Franz Kafka, the early work of Darren Aronofsky, and a solitary walk through the streets of Paris during Fashion Week, the EP consists of two compact slices of techno() and two remixes. First is the meandering, dreamlike 'Wander 7,' followed by the truculent but jubilant 'Roquentin's Release' and finishing with remixes by fellow Fifth Wall artists Physical Therapy and Unklone.

Notes: Responsible for organizing the Moments event series throughout Berlin, I/Y is releasing an EP celebrating their collaboration with all the artists who performed and adhered to the Moment's concept in the last few years. Releasing music from everyone was impossible, but the 4 tracks produced by Voiski, Blind Observatory, Schloss Mirabell, and I/Y give a solid idea of what Moments is about.

Following on from the first part in April, Shipwrec proudly serve up a second instalment of the American Psychosis project by pioneering Dutch producer Drvg Cvltvre, who has previously released on the likes of Viewlexx, Bunker and Porn Wax, next to his own New York Haunted label. Drvg Cvltvre is known for his experimental and boundary pushing sounds and it's no different here, on either track. The first, 'March into Nothingness' is a truly bleak and foreboding affair with serrated synths and thick, dense fog hanging in the air above slow and purposeful drums. Like a post apocalyptic industrial estate it is a raw and arresting place to be. 'Drown Into The Eternal Twilight' is then an even harder edge techno stomper with angry synth lines, tough drums and tons of white noise darkening the foreboding airwaves. The artwork here is by Dutch artist Rutger Termohlen - who made five unique drawings, which are used throughout the artwork. Both parts come in a fully printed disco sleeve, but as part 2 completes the package this will be available in an outer sleeve with the last of the five drawings on the front cover. Again both sides have some locked grooves as well.

Two years have passed since his release at Sandwell District and after his remix contribution to Sawf's Sand EP, Belgian producer, Yves De Mey, returns to Modal Analysis with a two-track EP. The first track allures the listener to an abstract heavy sound, whereas, the second track follows a more distinct rhythmic structure. Both tracks create an atmospheric environment with the use of modular sounds. The EP wraps up with a Shifted club remix of the first track.

For the eight Counter Pulse series, we let Wata Igarashi explore the terrains of paranoia and as the A-title suggests it's a hypnotic cut with ferociously sliding bass-line and slamming 909 hats in the
background. To take the concept further, the master of hypnotic Techno, IORI, appears with a remix of the same track where he reshapes the rhythm and adds a massive layer of lushness to his take. The flip is a stripped down number "Arachnoid" with FM clunks, evolving pads, and a beautiful harmonic contrast with the deep stabs coming along. To close the release we invited one of our main artists, Go Hiyama, to reshape Wata's - "As It Is" in his very own bit-reduced and colorful taste.

NR LTD 013 opens up with "Plasma Disco" by Samuli Kemppi. Here we have a track which is sparse, minimalistic and deep, yet straight, heavy and hypnotic techno.
Track two, "Rota" from Pacou provides relentless percussives, lead by housey stabs, layered with a wide reflection all combining for a slightly funky sound.
Moving on to "Rocket" by Woo York & Joton, we're treated to some raw, dark and powerful industrial tinged sounds. This track is led by a metallic sounding hit, the levels are of the percussion are spot on and on a closer listen the track is layered with a filtered chord sequence, all making for some full on techno.
Lastly, we have "In The Mood" from Joton which is just that, moody techno, which brings you in as the looping synth escalates. With some nice pads, wide claps and hard hitting percussion the track remains dark and mysterious.

Here we probably have the flagship of modern day techno music. The Planet Rhythm label was founded by Glenn Wilson and has been one of the leading icons in harder, underground club techno.
Stigmata member Andre Walter teams up with Chris Hope for a juicy collab. Resulting in their trademark pounding beats and destructive bass-heavy productions this one is bound bound to be caned by all the usual players!

2010 was a great year for Planet Rhythm, solid releases from great artists and a lot of good feedback, airplay and reviews. Many dj's are happy to play the releases and the crowd reacts in the only proper way, just dancing and showing love.

There's a restless groundswell of producers making some seriously rowdy grime beats down in Bristol this year, in keeping with the city's ingrained tradition of hosting fresh talent and nurturing the green-shoots of sounds. The dank, claustrophobic club nights and tight-knit community of heads battling dub for dub has seen a crop of unruly riddims from guys like Boofy, Hi5 Ghost, Lemzly Dale, Kahn, Neek, Asa and Oatz shift into the blooming instrumental scene's focus.  One of the rudest soundboys of the lot goes by the name of OH91, and he brings that unabashed, soundsystem duppying, backhand-you-in-the-face toughness on his tracks. Coyote Records are hyped to welcome him to the crew as he drops heat for COY005 with the peak-time gullyness of 'Stealth', backed with remix fire from none other than Slew Dem don and legendary selector, Spooky. Built around brash synthlines, huge piston-pressurised drums and subs that hit hard and low, 'Stealth' is grime built for the rave, bristling with moodiness and uncompromising bass impact. Spooky's version agitates the rhythms with phrases of rolling 2-step skanks, and treats the snyths with raw, acid-like corrosion, blasting you head-on with the same full sonic spectrum and levels of energy as his electrifying DJ sets.

a big package with remixes from Modularz label head Developer & label
mate Chris Page. After Evasive isn't out of mind yet, TRC marks van
Oers' next landmark.

TRC01 marches straight forward with dark soundscapes and massive depths.
TRC02 is doing a similar job but opens the window with atmospheric
layered soundscapes. Amazing! Developer adopts these deep emotions in
his unique style and generates a stylish dancefloor machine. Chris Page
is creeping through the techno morass and translates TRC01 into reliable
techno cut. A Digital Bonus remix from Developer closes this awesome
release. It's all about techno.
