Ibadan Records know for it's persistent pursuit of dope jams unleashes the Sun Ark EP. The A side re-explores the original mind bending Carl Craig classic "Angel". Jerome Sydenham contorts this gem with a depth-defying A-class re-edit. Following this Sydenham's original production exemplifies the term soulful Tech-House! The B-side introduces the new Japanese duo Lo Hype consisting of Ibadan recording artist Katusya Sano and new compadre Shin Sasama. Their combined efforts defy terms like Electronica or Techno but rather combine them in this dramatic musical soliloquy. "Route 303" has the 303 written all over it coupled with analog bases and classic synths all enveloped in 118 bpm heaven!

Skryptom 15 was a serie of bombs by Traumer playlisted by many huge artist and thanks for it. Now it's time welcome french newcomer SHEKON for his first release ever on skryptom, we worked a long time with him to arrive to that 2 huge techno tracks. Pure techno weapons influenced by Detroit and berghain music, with a French way of doing it like his friends traumer, electric rescue and MAXIME DANGLES. That last one delivers a monster techno remix, hot, deep, rough but also a big techno anthem. SETI recordings tune in to a new ArD2 transmission. With the title 'night lights' this 5 track EP explores the dystopian ArD2 universe with 4 tracks that go from the atmospheric low tempo beats to the heavy bass club orientated records.

Additionally the EP contains a Heinrich Mueller guest appearance remixing one of the tracks found in the record.
ArD2 is an electronic music project based in George Orwell's novel 1984 that combines music and sounds instead of words to tell a story set in a near future.
Project developed by producers Penelope Martin (Zwischenwelt, NRSB-11) and Ekis along with visual distorter Desh.

The mysterious black is back on its new limited imprint. Vinyl only!

To mark the occasion of Delsin hitting 100 releases, the label is to release five new various artist EPs throughout the rest of the year.
Besides a special collector's box edition, all EPs will be offered separately, with limited edition colour runs and unlimited black copies. All fifteen tracks will also be compiled onto one CD. Label mates Convextion, Sawlin and Ross 154 (aka Newworldaquarium) contribute one tack each for the third EP in the series.

Heavy techno dude Sawlin offers up just that: stiff rhythms of industrial percussion, grainy lo-fi pads and plenty of fuzzy textures are all on display in his seriously heady jam 'Zeitstempel'. Next up is Convextion with his breezy, summery jam 'Verna'. With a squelchy and snaking bassline and subtly uplifting pads, it twists and turns as it drives forward, and so will you.

Finally for this installment, 'Moon FM Desire' (first released on 15dsr CD) is a serene and slo-mo trip by Ross 154 with tumbling drums and thin, heavenly pads. A piece of music full of pain and lovelorn drama by the man also known as Newworldaquarium.

Merkur releases its 6th EP which has a new, different approach compared to the last EPs for which it has gained much praise during the past 5 years.


The A-Side 'Theme Of Mercury' was produced by label founder Shingo Suwa and Akirahawks, who is known for the unique Re-edit label House Mannequin. The two of them mainly perform at Homopatik in Berlin. Theme Of Mercury is a hypnotic track which was created with some broken old synth and sends your mind on an intergalactic odyssey, before diving into the deepest ocean on a journey to forget about space and time.


The first track of the B-side is a remix from Ducerey Ada Nexino aka Yuji Kondo, also known for his work under both his own name and as a half of Steven Porter on Semantica.
The remix fastens up the mix by repetitive pulsating synths, giving the beat an industrial modern atmosphere and letting the crowd heating up.


The second track on the flip-side, called 'Barsoom', is a solo production by Shingo and completes the whole package. The functional work of a cut up 303 acid line with raw bass and a running groove creates an insistent and deeply pressured feeling.

It is very tempting and relatively easy to follow a proven path when you are a successfully established artist. Full of risks, but ultimately more rewarding is an inventive and ever changing approach to music making.

Cosmin TRG´s sophomore album 'Gordian' is a great example of an artist continuously pushing his own boundaries and denying genre limitations of any kind. It is a mature masterpiece. Not easy listening material, but a delightful listen, packed with plenty of rewarding oddities if you care to really take your time with it.

50 Weapons is preparing a series of remix singles to highlight the DJ aspects of the album. What started with a personal wishlist from Cosmin TRG has turned into a series of splendid remixes.

If you don´t know who Legowelt is, you have not been following electronic music for long. The dutch producer began releasing music in the 90ies and his list of project names easily fills a couple of pages. His remix of 'Terminus Abrupt' is a timeless, superlative techno monster. A synth heavy post Detroit anthem for the floor.

Miles Whittaker is one half of Pendle Coven, one half of Demdike Stare and known as Miles or MLZ for his solo works. His remix of 'Noise Code' is exactly the superb demonstration of deep drone techno dub epicness you would expect. Only it´s even better!

"Shake" is Techno at its best! Dub Techno elements in a Basic-Channel-style meet kicking, masculine beats as you may know most likely from Santos releases, all united in the meanwhile typical McKay style. McKay is the incarnate Techno beat, and 'Shake' is no exception!

Another intriguing release by one of France's most distinctive and prolific electronic music artists is coming out on CLR. On the present EP Terence Fixmer delivers three brand-new tracks which vibrate with imagination, quality and depth, proving once again why he has been at the forefront of the Techno scene for more than ten successful years. The first track and a-side of the vinyl entitled 'Psychik' is a straight forward, ruthless piece of Techno, fulfilling each and every need of the dancing crowd. With its dark, hypnotic and unrelenting vibe it simultaneously challenges, pleases and releases body and mind. 'Psychose' is the more moderate but equally strong counterpart, carrying on the deep and mesmerizing atmosphere of its predecessor. The slower groove leaves loads of space for the individual elements to unfold and every single sound acts and shines with its particular texture. And if this would not be enough, in the third track of the EP Terence Fixmer surprises with a completely different facet of his versatile musicianship. 'Lovesick' is not only another slick production but also features the sensual and haunting vocals of Cormac, resulting in a unique Techno song which talks about love and pain in a very personal, disarming and poetic way. Apart from the ever-present focus on musical integrity, also the overall sound has received close attention. Each one of the tracks sounds crystal-clear and deeply absorbing, which is partly due to the fact that Chris Liebing took care of the mix-down and Brian Sanhaji added the finishing touches in the mastering. This common CLR in-house practice has already generated numerous top-notch releases and these tracks are no exception. It has been said that Terence Fixmer´s music appeals as much to the dancing feet as it does to the searching soul, and the present EP clearly confirms this statement.

There's a certain dynamic that emerges whenever Andre Galluzzi and Dana Ruh pair up to create a record. With last year's "Freya / Mauersegler" split EP on Ostgut Ton, the two have already hit up some of the most prestigious labels in the electronic music landscape. New release from kitchenstudio3 On "Analog Sphere Ep", the misterious Program Raphel and Pezzo come up with three fresh releases who show their love for unexpected soundscapes and musical emotions.

With "Smile revox" , Program Raphael seems to use the same recipe used in
the mythical production of old Kitchenstudio3's friends , Poker ( Eukahouse
rec.) and Borgomanero ( marshmellow rec) during the last decade. Big bad

Ministre X is back again on his own label, ClekClekBoom, to supply Paris' house & bass haven's with its 14th official release. After his

NYC (via Paris) based DJ and producer Sid Vaga returns to Nickodemus' Wonderwheel Recordings with another 12" full of exotic deep house vibes sure to light up dance floors everywhere. It's an impressive follow-up to his genuinely well-received "Brazuca" single from last year.

On the A side, Sid delivers "Na Na Ye", a driving cut with a pulsing bass line and hypnotic African chant that pushes the tune forward before getting flipped into a percussive section alongside deep and subtle synths. On the flip "Manouche" can be found, a late night house tune with psychedelic Balkan guitars and swirling Gypsy vocal samples punctuating the track. Rounding out the single, Valencian producer Oscar Barila (Plastic City, Kling Klong) gives "Manouche" a truly funky remix with a squelchy '80s "new wave" style bass line, thumping house beat, and irresistible synth work coming together for a real after-hours nightclub workout.

Following up ARC#'s excellent album is a new series of 12"s from Deep Sound Channel. DSC proudly introduces the pioneering Darko Esser, under his Tripeo moniker to set these series in motion. Tripeo gouges out chasms of bass for "Ugani". Industrial murmurs are supplanted by earthy rhythm patterns. The ever pervasive clank of the machine is never far away, coils and circuitboards creeping over organic growth to choke and overcome. Insular dub spirals into "Opuvar". Oscillators bend and bulge, waiting for Tripeo to inject ever more voltage. But the temperature is tapered, hi-hats bolstering intensity for a work of cerebral and contained Techno. Welcome to Single Point Edge. The third album from Rwina Records, Single Point Edge is unlike previous releases on the Dutch label: bleak, stripped down techno for paranoid humans and robots. Across its ten tracks Single Point Edge carefully balances the physicality of techno with a fine attention to sonic detail and melodic progression. There are clear reference points alongside which SPE pulls in more subtle influences and references to other genres. R_L out of Hong Kong contributes to the Ep with his "Chaotic Bliss", a forceful track drenched in reverb, echoing metal throbs and resonating lustful timbres. original track.
The Spanish sound-genius Dixie Yure well-known for his releases on Nordik Net Records, transformed the original
into an amazing deep house track. Preserving the spirit and atmosphere of the original, Dixie just added more groovy
structures and his typical freaky fx-sounds.
To finish the package Danza Macabra comes up with their very own version. Their characteristic string-hits are paired
with a gloomy, melodic feeling and deep, bass-driven beats.

'When You Are Crawling' is a 35 minute companion piece to Vatican Shadow's recently released
'Remember Your Black Day' album, the iconography and tracklisting concluding its narrative, with a musical focus more directly aimed at the club bolstered by additional production from Juan Mendez aka Silent Servant.

The centrepiece of the EP is 'Atta's Apartment Slated For Demolition (Bouthayna Engineering)', a previously unreleased 15 minute production that builds from tempered percussion to a more driving denouement.

The EP also includes the previously unreleased 'Al Qaeda', plus an alternate version of the album's
title track.

A word from label boss Chris Farrell "This is the new one on Idle Hands, from US producer Strategy. I first came across Paul
Dickow's work when he released a 12" called 'World House' on his own Community Library label back in 2005. It blew me away.
In the ensuing years my friend Duncan George who promoted Bristol's best electronic music night - Under_Score tried on numerous
ocasions to book him for a Bristol date but it never quite hapened due to the usual things that go wrong in club land. In those years
Duncan kept in touch with Paul and last year suggested to him that it might be worth sending some tracks to me, which he did at the
start of 2013...

It's hard to believe that with an output as prolific as that of Gabriel Reyes-Whittaker, Within These Machines is only is second widely distributed full-length release in his more than 10 year career. Having released critically-acclaimed projects as The Abstract Eye, The Reflektor, Julian Abelar and of course his best known guise GB, he returns again with what is perhaps his most ambitious project to date. GB's Within These Machines is a song set themed around the various applications of his primarily analog electronic instruments. Working in concert and synchronized via MIDI and triggering mechanisms, the machines act as the performers themselves with Gabriel serving as engineer, conductor, composer and producer, guiding the machines in their performance. All pieces were recorded live and in one take. Within These Machines encompasses not only GB's stylistic versatility and technical prowess but also the capabilities of vintage electronic musical instruments that in many cases had not yet been explored. GB visits and expands upon many subgenres of the wide world of electronic music while not quite stepping fully into any categorizable box. Yet the album moves with a consistency and theme that illustrates the unique character of all of Gabriel's music.

On the third release Abstract Animal returns to heavy peaktime techno. On the A side you can bear witness Monomoods ten minute analog threesome with his machines. On the B-Side the Fachwerk Mastermind Mike Dehnert transforms the acid - vault, taken from the shtum001, into a dark and hypnotic techno cellar. Rumbling rhythms and sharp pads keep your mind awake, when Monomoods 'The Siren' on B1 howls through your ears.

A gem of the Parisian underground electronic music world for those who know, Voiski hits us with three tracks of high bpm techno which at points reminds us of early Steve Bicknell or Oliver Ho. The b-side hits hard with the epic "From Sea to Sea" a monstrously beautiful building track that does all the right things in the right places just when you want them to happen. A big release to say the least.

For their fifth release, Deadplate present the debut 12" from London based producer Will Ward. Although a new name to many, Ward is of live electronica outfit Circle Traps (made up of members of the revered Portico Quartet) and has further developed his production potency on a collaborative EP with My Panda Shall Fly and on Rita Maia's 'Sine of Times' compilation.

His debut 12' on Deadplate sees Ward showcasing his most refined and interesting material to date and acts as the formal introduction of a real talent who holds heaps of potential.A-side 'Violiner' is a real palate cleansing piece of music where waves of all-consuming atmospherics, intricate vocals and sheer dread-weight bass combine to beautiful effect. This one really offers up more with each listen and has proven itself to be a versatile DJ tool.

On the flip is 'Concentrated' - a big rough-cut groove. Muffled warehouse-size kicks canter along with intent until it unfurls into something that sounds like the bastard child of Four Tet and Boddika. With all the driving force and relentless low-end of the latter and the hair-raising organic touches of the former - this one is set to break many a heart on the 5am dancefloor.

Memento is really happy to present its 008 release, inviting a couple of guys with big shoulders in the electronic scene: Lee Van Dowski at the control andIlario Alicante as a remixer.
The first thing we loved approaching to these tracks was that the guys were going very far from the street where they usually walk safe; of course you will recognize the touch of them (fortunately!), but we're sure you'll be surprised exactly like us.
The first track "The Old Faithful" is an endless journey from the darkness into light and viceversa, and seems to continues forever. It starts with a very solid groove, percussive and massive, then it cames slowly a pad that brings us to some safe lands together with an acid delayed synth who allows the track to take off with a very sweet and subtle trancey atmosphere. When you think the track is about to finish, here's the main lead synth who slowly takes the control, taking your hand till the end of the track.
The Ilario Alicante's interpretation of this track is a great example of darky witch elegant techno, full of surprises, sudden voices and reversed sounds surround you in every moment supported by some delightful hi hats and a subtle scary groove.

Which is second track "L'Hotel Cherif" Lee goes directly to your stomach.
Kick and bass start in a very self confident way, together with an hi hats riff who makes you think that something very exciting is about to happen. In fact a twisted melodic synth starts his chant giving to the track an epic attitude.
The synth keep on his way opening the cut off and bringing us to the break, where some crazy claps announce the peak.
The Ilario "floor mix" of this track is a dangerous weapon. Techno at his best, hypnotic and emotional, dreamy but solid, where the leading role of the very old school anagogic hats will make you jump!

Another long lost gem is back from the archives to bring pleasure to a new generation of electronic music fans. Originally released in 2000 the - VOTUM EP' has been the frist ever vinyl release of ROTOR, a Hamburg-based producer later making waves under the name of ROTORIK on labels like Mutter, Len Faki's former Feis-imprint, Mosquito, Semi-Automatic or Acido Records and also produced some heavy EBM Techno as TET - Traveilleur En Trance.

His now rediscovered debut - VOTUM EP' sees ROTOR dealing with abstract, metallic Minimal Techno as well as Acid-referring sequences and totally tripping Highspeed Techno.

On November 4th Vester Koza will return with the third part of his
Maslo series.
Vester Koza recently debuted with 2 critically acclaimed EP's earlier this year. The londoner has also been busy as a DJ, producing mixes for the likes of Bleed and performing at events such as Unsound London.
This single will round up a trio of 12 releases for 2013.

Egbert has been dazzling us with the speed at which he seems to have skyrocketed to being one of the world's top players in the techno scene. Within a short period of time he has managed to create a rapidly growing fan base who have all been avidly waiting for him to release an album for some time now. Come end of October, Egbert will finally be releasing 'Warm' on Secret Cinema's Gem Records! His story has been an exciting rollercoaster ride going from being discovered by Secret Cinema through Myspace, to being picked up by Cocoon and their booking agency and now touring the globe as a part of the Gem and Bonheur agency roster. September 20th, Egbert will be playing a sold out, astonishing 6 hour solo live set in Melkweg Amsterdam to kick off his album promotion tour. The album takes you on a trip through Egbert's vision of melodic techno. Well produced and euphoric but without stepping in to known territory. In his own words: 'One thing I often miss at techno parties is warmth. I would like to bring that back to techno'. While his live sets are usually filled with percussion and rhythm, this album compiles the tracks that bring warmth to his set. We also get a taste of Egbert's raw side with the powerful pumping grooves and punishing dark basslines on 'Tegno' and 'Shulgin'. There's even a new flavour added to the versatile producer's palate with the trippy ambient sounds of 'Ondergronds' and 'Trip'.

The pedigree of this collaboration should need little explanation. Luminaries of British electronic music spanning over two decades, Russell Haswell (Gescom, Haswell & Hecker) and Downwards label founder Karl O'Connor (Regis, Sandwell District, British Murder Boys) have come together to produce three tracks of inimitable experimental techno in their debut collaborative release.
With each track built on a permutating sonic foundation, these are muscular and expertly paced compositions that effortlessly transition between hypnotic rhythms and textural and timbral experimentation. 'Industrial Disease''s mid paced dark dancehall rhythm snakes around ominous and monumental roars of synthesis, hard transitioning into an abstract concrete omposition. 'Caulk' relocates the dark and delayed mood into a sonic wind tunnel, amidst roughly textured radio transmissions and epic resonant sweeps. 'The Unabridged Truth' introduces the first unswerving 4/4 beat of the release, which grows in stature until the violent electronic bursts are eventually wrestled into an unsettled closing passage.

Violetshaped is a collaboration between the enigmatic Violet Poison and Berlin-based artist Shapednoise.
'Violetshaped Remixes Part 2' is the second of a remixes series divided into several parts.
This time round they appoint Keith Fullerton Whitman, JK Flesh and Grischa Lichtenberger for remixes of their
eponymous debut album tracks. The KFW recomposition of 'Anesthesia' is worth the entry fee twice over if
you ask us - masticating the original with his hybrid analogue/digital modular system, manifesting a noxious
roil of stereo splintered percussion, banking clouds of gaseous metallic tone and plonging globular bass
oozing for 13 minutes over the A-side. It's the final word in noise techno churn.

Mancunians AnD have lead the way when it comes to the industrial techno revolution of recent times and now serve up three such tracks on the small but perfectly formed Ann Aimee label after plenty of great work on their own eponymous imprint.
The titular track 'Ard Core Krew' kicks things off with squealing machines, huge dump piston sounds, metallic synths and brutalist kick drums. It's a hostile world of sound in which it is easy to get disorientated, and 'Changed My View' is much the same, with every single element sounding raw, frazzled and under plenty of strain. It's a fuzzy, dirty track with lots of detailed activity as well as huge stomping kick drums, which pin it all together. 'Free At Last' is the most propulsive and forward moving; surging as it does on a grimy brew of splintered hi hats, incessant kick drums and low fizzing frequencies. Aggressive techno never sounded so fresh!

This three song 12 inch titled "Japanese Zelkova" is a divergence from his last record in some sense, whereas the former was based around dusty crunched out samples and programming, this release is more focused on the man/machine element. That is not to say there aren't pieces of his past work in there. If you let the title track play on you'll see what we mean. Psst! shtum is the new sublabel of Dresden's Uncanny Valley and it is created for proper techno and raw house tracks, music best listened to in a room full of strobe light and fog. Right at the start you'll get Monomood with three dark and powerful tracks. Parameter One is one of those Techno stompers you can't help but fiercely nod your head to. The lyrics in The Crafter might suggest it but actually nobody is afraid of the dark. Not even after hell breaks loose with unrelenting chords. Also, Vault takes no prisoners while keeping the cellar door shut with its nasty acid lines and raw drum work. The musical concept has been interpreted visually by Aram Haydeyan and Uncanny Valley artist Jacob Stoy.

Shape Worship about:"Shape Worship is a solo musical project started in 2009. I'm interested in repetition, collaboration, the enjoyment of mistakes, and sub-bass. I record and play live using a laptop, synths, samples, effects and instruments. Hypercolour offshoot, HypeLTD, return for more stellar underground house business with a super 4 track release from Trikk.

The Portuguese DJ and producer has been bubbling away for the last 24 months, releasing some solid records on labels like Terrain Ahead, Container and Man Make Music. His HypeLTD debut sees him plunder the roots of underground house with fresh impetus.

'Midnight Sequence' is a dark, driving, tour de force, no doubt influenced by fellow Portuguese legends Underground Sound Of Lisbon, with it's deep bass, air horns and white noise over a deadly drum arrangement.

'Back To Back' plunders a similar dark path, shades of London Jungle-ism in this one, whilst 'Labour 91' is an altogether more upbeat track, classic Todd Terry-esque rolling drums and Chi-town house cut ups keeps the energy flow.

Wrapping up the EP is 'Prime Time', more on point house business here from Trikk, again with influences clearly in the Windy City variety of house music.

All outstanding productions here from Trikk, with a nice variety of tracks for all persuasions.
