Frank FM is more housy than the other artists on melted recordings, who
produced the mtd.003. But some tracks of him are much more deep chord tech
burning stuff!
The A-side track "motion sense" has a nice and easy floating bass and
organ melody supplemented by a jazzy trumpet - a warm uplifting summer
sound with some tech-house drums.
The B-side track "can't let you go" is very much more dark and deep
techno, rhythmic detroit and comes with a somehow wobbling synth and
hypnotic sounds.

XP2 TEAM UP WITH TIM DELUXE FOR SOME QUALITY OLD SCHOOL FLAVA'S

What's the point of a concept album when no one hears the concept in it Maybe that it sets a boundary, forcing mr artist to go even deeper into the fewer possibilities left. Creativity by limitation and all that... we'll spare you further theorizing. 'Fever', the third longplayer by dutch low end scientist 2562, then, is his disco album: a thorough reinterpretation of underground disco music from the mid seventies to the early eighties, with his own birthyear 1979 as the gravitational point. All based on one simple rule: every single sound, from the smallest background shiver to the most obese sub bass, originates from a disco record - no additional synthesizers, drumcomputers or other samplesources involved. Disco-edits, italo homages or filtered loops then Hardly. This is genuinely new and retro-free music that respectfully flips its sources so hard even the biggest Paradise Garage connaisseurs won't recognize what just hit them. Or in the words of musical allies Martyn and Pinch, who independently drew the same conclusion: 'Sorry, but I don't hear that whole disco story in there. This simply sounds like you.' Completely failed as a concept album, then - and all the better for it.

Shadow Sync are back with their latest true techno, full analog release
on KRD.
Poles is marked by a percussive sound which despite its inharmonic
character yet keeps a trace of tuning making it similar to a voiced
percussion. This main sound is arranged to form a sort of pseudo-melody
determined by the different intensity, lenght and color of the reverb
tail. The 909delivers both the drum line and the bass line, realized
using the tom section. The background is populated by friendly,
ceaselessly mutating sonic organisms.
Magnetic Fields is a train rolling through dark, post-industrial
landscapes. It's built around a drastically EQed 909 tom, a nervous
echoed clap and a cross-rhythmic, 3 against 4 hypnotic bass line which
evolves in a bell-like sound towards the pause. The atmosphere is
saturated with sound vapors and the temperature is dangerously high:
play at your own risk!
This release, like all previous releases, is available on vinyl only at
selected record stores around the world.

Mechanisms Industries re-emerges from the Tape Studio after a hiatus and reconfiguration in preparation for the new release entitled Antikythera Mechanism. The Antikythera Mechanism is an ancient mechanical computer designed to calculate astronomical positions. For our purposes, we have re-calibrated the Antikythera Mechanism to calculate and assist in the programming of three deep, dark rhythmic Techno tracks.
