Lost Few & Dino Sabatini - Light Before The Haze
SL021 ORBITAL
Southern Lights
12inch04.09.202604.SEP.26

TechnoTechno

Two voices at the frontier of deep, hypnotic and experimental electronic music converge with four-track split EP that moves between first light and subsurface dark.

Lost Few’s productions inhabit the hazy threshold between ambient and dancefloor music - textured, atmospheric productions built around mood and motion. On the A-side, Broken Dawn opens with a sense of slow emergence: layered pads and rhythmic pulse conjuring beauty before sunrise, when sound feels closer to dream than waking. Light Before The Haze deepens the journey; a longing, weightless piece that traces the diffuse glow that precedes full light — melodic, restrained, and deeply felt.

Dino Sabatini needs no introduction; his productions have bolstered the underground electronic music scene while sculpting a new narrative for deep, modern electronic music. On the B-side, Subsurface Light is characteristically Sabatini: a hypnotic descent into pressurised depths, where rhythm becomes ritual and texture carries the weight of ancient resonance. He then reimagines Lost Few's Light Before The Haze as a closing meditation — pulling it further inward, slowing its pulse, and casting it in the particular deep-techno shadow he has made his own.

Together, the four tracks form a coherent arc from the pre-dawn quiet of Lost Few's introspective electronics to the subterranean intensity of Sabatini's world — a release that rewards both patient listening and late-night movement.

Carl Gari - Carl Gari LP

Molten Moods
12inch04.09.202604.SEP.26

TechnoHip-HopHip-Hop

In the seclusion of a house in the Bavarian Forest, something unfolded that felt less like a conventional album production and more like an internal process of condensation. This house wasn’t a studio - it was a retreat. Its 1960s-inspired interiors, creaking wooden stairs, and crackling fireplace shaped the sound of Carl Gari as much as the instruments themselves. Though the house no longer exists, its atmosphere remains present in the recordings.

The music of Carl Gari - Jonas Yamer, Till Funke, and Jonas Friedlich - resists easy categorization, a trait that continues on this monumental new album. From the friction between electronic music and guitar textures, the trio forges a distinctive, idiosyncratic sound. Distorted electric guitars and pulsating basslines intertwine with analog drum machines, tape delays, and intricate effect chains, creating music that is raw, organic, and psychedelic. A new element on the album is the trio’s first use of vocals: Jonas Yamer, usually on bass, raises his voice in a punk-tinged, invented language that hints rather than narrates, unsettling more than it explains.

The guest artists do not merely decorate the sound - they alter its very structure at critical points. Polygonia contributes layered vocals that mesh seamlessly with the album’s technoid architecture. Will Brooks of Dälek delivers a dark rap feature on ‘Poison Shyness (Anti-Social)’, his words carving the sonic space with precision. Coby Sey adds introspective vocals that hover between experimentation and restraint on ‘Inner Link’. New York rap pioneer Sensational introduces a deliberately rough, individual counterpoint on ‘Disco Lights’, while the German percussionist Simon Popp drives the album forward with an uncompromising drum performance that insists rather than accompanies on ‘Zeitesser’.

The cover photographs, taken by Jonas Yamer, project images of corridors onto paintings located in the now demolished house where the album was recorded. Visually, this reflects a key motif of the album: spaces exist only as overlays and echoes - not mystical ghosts, but traces of a place that has physically vanished.

Recorded between 2016-2024 in Neunburg vorm Wald and Munich. With kind support by Kulturreferat der Landeshauptstadt München.
Mixed by Johannes Wagner aka J.Manuel at Apollo Studio, Berlin (A1, D1 w/ Fadi Mohem). Mastered & cut by Stefan Betke at Scape Mastering.
Photography by Jonas Yamer. Packaging design by Sepehr Mokhtarzadeh.

Kicking things off, Suavy AF sets the tone with a sensual, groove-driven cut that balances raw energy and playful finesse. Tight drums, cheeky edits and a laid-back swagger make this one built for both heads-down listening or late-night dancefloor moments. Lemon & Mint, showing they're not here to play it safe.

On the flipside, Synkro takes the original into deeper territory, stripping it back and reshaping it with weighty low-end and a more introspective swing. He offers a more hypnotic take that hits just as hard in its own way. A perfect counterbalance that rounds out the release with class!

A well needed vinyl re-issue of these sought after Break 3000 Electroclash classics from the period 1999-2003.
Originally released on Meuse Muzique in Maastricht, The Netherlands.

"Plastique People feat. Zusi" became a club hit again these past few years and saw the original vinyl prices soar on Discogs. "Last Emotion" was previously unreleased and brought back to live again thanks to the great Argentinian label "Calypso's Dream" who did the fine "The Rise Of Poseidon I" release three years ago that also included the fierce banger "Sacrifice", which became a hit back in the days when it was first featured on the massive DJ Kicks compilation by Tiga in 2003. The re-issue by "Calypso's Dream" sold out in a few weeks and was never re-pressed. The vocoder anthem "Emolotion" saw a vinyl only comeback on the cool Italian label "Mondo Phase" from Milan together with "Plastique People" in 2023, these limited copies were gone in days as well.

As a lot of people missed out on these Electroclash anthems by Break 3000 in the first vinyl re-issues we thought now is the right time to give them another run and make them available again. Enjoy!

All tracks were re-mastered by Salz Mastering in Cologne. Music & Art by Break 3000.

Rupert Marnie, co-founder of The Press Group and Remoto Records, makes his debut on Smallville with some serious curveball action.
Once you immerse yourself in the wonderful breadth of Hamburg’s subculture, it is quite likely that you will soon hear about Matthias Schubert also known as Rupert Marnie. Operating in the City's deepest part of the underground, Matthias provides some highlights that you should know about - may it be co-running a vinyl label (The Press Group) and an amazing record-store (remoto records) together with a group of like-minded friends or may it be as a DJ or Liveact, playing house, techno or ambient music at clubs like Golden Pudel, Südpol or Frappant in Hamburg or outside of town (Club der Visionäre/ Berlin, Bassiani/ Tblisi...)- there is quite a lot of things that Matthias has accomplished. And we are very happy to present his latest installment – four raw and gritty tracks, deeply driving yet bouncy, wobbly at times and definitely with a Curveball-appeal and no compromises.
Smallville 77 will be released 4th of September 2026 with a full cover artwork from Stefan Marx.

DJ Alone Again - Orbital Constructs
WOLFEP089
WOLF MUSIC
12inch04.09.202604.SEP.26

HouseDeep

The next WOLF Music EP is here, and once again it comes courtesy of a new addition to the label roster. New York-based DJ and producer DJ Alone Again is a natural fit for what we do at WOLF, delivering a sound that hits that sweet spot where deep meets soulful, with the raw, understated energy of the authentic New York underground running through every track.

With a growing catalogue of original productions and edits, DJ Alone Again has released music through labels including YORE Records, House Salad Music, Dobro, Fantin Zoo Records, and Dealt With Records. His musical roots extend beyond house, too. Earlier work with the band Vain Pursuit, alongside a wealth of SoundCloud mixes and underground edits, reveals an artist with a deep appreciation for melody, songwriting and the emotional side of dance music.

Opening the EP is ‘Freedom of House’, a sublime take on the classic NYC-meets-Chicago deep house sound. Warm, soulful and hypnotic chords sit at the heart of the track, surrounded by intricate, skippy percussion and a deep, driving bassline. Carefully placed female vocal snippets drift in and out of the groove, while a spoken-word ode to the freedom and self-expression that house music offers provides the track with its emotional centre. It’s a celebration of movement, individuality and that unspoken connection forged on the dancefloor.

On the A2, ‘State of Flux’ keeps those warm, evocative chords front and centre, building an infectious groove around an instantly memorable melody courtesy of the vibes. Subtle synth strings add depth and atmosphere, bringing a touch of late-night melancholy to the arrangement, while the rhythm rolls steadily underneath. Everything is expertly layered without ever feeling crowded, giving the chords, melody and percussion room to breathe whilst pulling the listener deeper into the track.

‘Horizontal Patterns’ takes the winning formula of ‘State of Flux’, adding a beautifully understated vocal hook that sums this track up perfectly: deep in the groove.

Closing out the EP is ‘In Your Orbit’, a serene, dream house number with a deeply hypnotic edge. Ethereal flute lines drift through the arrangement, weaving around vocal phrases that seem to lift the consciousness somewhere beyond the dancefloor. There’s a sense of weightlessness and escape in the arrangement, but the dance floor pulse courtesy of the warm chord stabs never lets you float too far away. Dreamy yet deeply rooted, it’s a meeting point between introspection and movement; music to lose yourself in.

If this EP had landed on Guidance 30 years ago, it would probably be changing hands for a small fortune on Discogs by now.

Instant classic material.

Knee Deep In Sound
2x12inch04.09.202604.SEP.26

HouseDeepTechProgressive

Landing on the 4th of September via his own imprint Knee Deep In Sound, ‘Obsessions’ is less a traditional dance record and more a reckoning — with where Daley Padley finds himself now, as an artist and as a person. Written across a period of constant movement, touring and introspection, the album holds the push and pull between intensity and stillness that has come to define his world.

This is an artist who started making music in Barnsley — long nights, small rooms, total commitment to sound. Those early marathon sets weren’t a stepping stone to something else. They were the foundation of everything that followed: global tours, chart success, the creation of Knee Deep In Sound, a career built entirely on instinct rather than expectation. Hot Since 82 has never followed a fixed path. He’s carved out a space that sits somewhere between underground credibility and global reach — and it’s that same restless, uncompromising approach that shaped this album.

“Some days feel heavier, some thoughts harder to hold. But music still reaches the places words can’t. It’s therapy and a reset button.”

That sense of release runs through the entire record. While rooted in house music, Obsessions doesn’t sit in one place for long — not to prove a point, but because that’s simply how Padley hears music. It moves between deep house, breakbeat, melodic electronica and full club focus as naturally as a conversation shifts tone. Moments of euphoria give way to reflection and tensions dissolves into release.

The album opens with ‘All That Matters’ — a track that feels immediately both expansive and intimate and sets the emotional register for everything that follows. From there it unfolds like a journey rather than a sequence.

Lead single ‘Shaded’, landing on the 12th June taps directly into classic house lineage while feeling unmistakably current — a bridge between where this music began and where it’s heading. Elsewhere, ‘Life’s Too Short’ and ‘Eternity’ introduce warmth and movement, weaving piano, breakbeat and subtle Afro influences into the album’s wider palette.

As the record progresses, the light changes. ‘Wow’ leans into darker, late-night territory — tension, restraint, a hypnotic centre. The collaborations with Kuuda on ‘State Of Mind’ and ‘Time’ bring the album back into full club focus: driving, physical, built for scale.

TechnoTechno

TECHNO Records continues its 2026 release series with a new work by Germany-based artist VNNN., a fixture of the Ruhr area’s underground techno scene for more than a decade.

Built around an intuitive search for bearings within a complex personal identity, the record takes Staza — the Bosnian word for path — as its poetic title.

Noir-toned, hypnotic and driving at its core, the music sets deep tension against insistent momentum and call-and-response energy. Each of the four original tracks refracts the same artistic identity in a different way. Together, they form a cohesive, self-assured techno vision. Raw and direct without sacrificing detail, the release reflects the focus of the artist who has produced extensively, released selectively and remained highly self-critical while refining his own sound.

Nadia Struiwigh reroutes “Prava Ljubav,” turning its central hook into what VNNN. describes as a junglistic firework. Her remix extends this portrait with a contrasting fifth state — a genre deviation that reflects both artists’ broad musical outlook and their willingness to move beyond boundaries when inspiration leads them there.

TECH042 gives physical form to the layered outcome of two singular artistic inquiries, turning it into a functional object and marking the debut of both VNNN. and Nadia Struiwigh on TECHNO Records.

The original is a deep house sound with a rough metallic edge and humid pads infused with whispered vocals. Di Saronno remixes it into something more light and airy, with a subtle skip in the drums that recalls the best of Melchior LTD. Andrew Macari's version has a little cheeky wiggle and sunny synth work, then Latenight Society remixes it into a slower sound with a swirling backdrop of pastoral melodic colours. Released simultaneously in November 2026 and distributed worldwide by Clone Distribution, the three records are less a retrospective than a continuation of what Assemble has been building since the beginning: music with character, made by artists with their own language, away from trends and easy categorisation. Across fifteen years, Assemble has moved freely between house, techno, electro, dub and more experimental forms of electronic music. The catalogue has never been defined by one particular sound, but rather by a certain approach, personal, uncompromising and built to last. Part I opens with XDB, an artist whose relationship with Assemble goes far beyond a single record. His deep, understated approach to house and techno has always been closely connected to the musical identity of the label. Aubrey, one of the enduring figures of the UK underground, follows with decades of experience behind him and a catalogue that stretches back to the early 1990s. Synchrojack connects the compilation to another important lineage: the raw and deeply individual British house music with a track produced and never released in the 90's. Activ-Analog bring their machine-driven, analogue approach back to Assemble after previously releasing on the label, while Kumquat Kids aka Julian Phethean & Steve O'Sullivan with a track originally released in 1999 on the Various Positions EP for UK label Organised Sound. Across fifteen years, Assemble has moved freely between house, techno, electro, dub and more experimental forms of electronic music. The catalogue has never been defined by one particular sound, but rather by a certain approach, personal, uncompromising and built to last. Part III brings together another five artists particularly close to Assemble's musical universe. Lowtec has spent decades developing one of the most distinctive languages in European house and techno, both through his own productions and his own label Workshop. His music shares something fundamental with Assemble, restraint, depth and an unwillingness to follow obvious paths and thats exactly what he delivers with "Dutch Angle" exploring the more ambient and abstract side of house. Welsh modular artist Steevio, co-founder of Freerotation, approaches electronic music through improvisation and live interaction with machines. His contribution to the compilation reflects the human, unpredictable side of electronic music that has always fascinated the label. Reedale Rise returns after becoming an important part of Assemble's recent chapter. Moving naturally between electro, techno and house, his music combines precision with an unmistakable melodic and emotional quality. With his track he explores a slightly darker path here, with deeper, more shadowy melodies revealing a different side of his distinctive sound. Lerosa's "Love Money" and Vera's "Take Me" are two very special tracks in our back catalogue, and we felt it was time to bring them back to life for our 15th anniversary. Vera was one of the first artists to collaborate with Assemble, with Lerosa joining not long after. Part II begins with Eduardo de la Calle, whose uncompromising approach to techno and electronic music has made him a natural part of Assemble's more recent history. His contribution continues a relationship that has developed through releases and appearances around the label showcases. Tom Dicicco & Roger 23 move into deeper ambient techno territory, bringing together two producers whose work has always pushed beyond the conventional boundaries of house and techno. Radboud Mens is a Dutch sound artist and composer whose work has long explored the space between experimental electronics, minimalism and techno. Active since the early 1990s, his approach is built around repetition, texture and the physical qualities of sound. His contribution to the compilation reflects this perfectly with a deeply minimalist piece, stripped back to its essential elements, where subtle shifts and details gradually shape the track. Chicago's Hakim Murphy represents another long-standing Assemble connection. His relationship with the label goes back years, and his raw, instinctive approach to house and techno embodies much of what Assemble has always looked for in an artist, individuality before formula. Closing the second record, Myles Serge delivers a pure definition of deep techno, hypnotic, atmospheric and deeply immersive, built on subtle movement and timeless Detroit-rooted sensibilities, establishing a new connection with the label."

Some things in life are meant to be consumed whole: a perfectly paced movie, an oyster at Whitstable Bay, a novella on a sunny afternoon. Into this pantheon of singular experiences comes Runners, the second album from London instrumental rock quartet Dog Unit. The follow-up to At Home, the band’s cult favourite 2024 debut album, Runners moves seamlessly across its 42-minute runtime. It finds the quartet – comprising Sam Walton, Henry Scowcroft, James Weaver and Lucy Jamieson – crafting tracks that undulate, churn and yearn in service of a greater purpose as they plough fertile fields of sonic storytelling. Made over the first four months of 2026 at the band’s studio in Limehouse, East London, Runners finds the core group, alongside producer and long-time collaborator Mark Estall, operating with greater ambition and scope than ever before. This time they commissioned a string quartet specifically for this project, and reappointed noted experimental bass clarinetist Heather Roche, as well as taking in a cavalcade of instruments at their studio, including vintage synths, drum machines, pianos, and harmonium. The band’s music is often compared to cinema, and if At Homewas a charming micro-budget indie flick bursting with potential, Runners is a widescreen realisation that stands up to repeat viewings.

Sweep

HouseMinimalTech

Sweep returns with its second release, bringing together Jigit co-head O.Bee and Unreleased boss Cem G. ‘Makes Me Feel’ is the first music to see the light from a long-standing friendship and collaboration shaped between their two homes, New York and Istanbul, and comes backed with a stirring remix from Giegling’s Edward.

O.Bee and Cem G bring forward a sound rooted in Istanbul’s music culture, developed through ReSolute’s warehouse parties on the outskirts of Brooklyn and refined at Berlin’s Club der Visionaere. It’s music that feels equally at home in all three settings. Dyed Soundorom’s Sweep is built around underground sounds with depth and groove — much like his own DJ sets — and this second release sits naturally within that world.

On side A, the original mix of ‘Makes Me Feel’ rolls out with a sturdy groove from the start. O.Bee and Cem G build the energy carefully, peppering the ethereal atmosphere with a repeated vocal clip as the tension grows. A variety of percussive layers and pads add depth, keeping you locked in. Halfway through, the vocal goes into full flow — scattered words bounce around like a jumbled poem, evolving into a call and response of dissipating voices on top of the rolling bass, fully hypnotizing. Underground music par excellence.

The flip features a rework from one of Giegling’s central figures, Edward, who adds a tougher edge to the original. Still operating in the deeper end of the spectrum, the remix plucks out the ‘Make me feel’ part of the vocal and uses it throughout. Dark, brooding and enchanting, Edward’s reinterpretation progressively adds more layers, increasing the dynamism while bringing further nuance to the atmosphere. A real treat for Edward fans…

If you caught Dyed Soundorom playing anywhere, you surely would have heard these cuts in the mix. Perfect dancefloor groovers… Now they’ve finally arrived on Sweep — c'est l'heure de la fête!

HouseDeep

Midmorning on a beautiful sunny Sunday in 2011 in the heart of Tokyo, where frenetic and otherworldly Shibuya meets softer, sleeker Aoyama, Portland Oregon-based producer/performer/DJ Conoley Ospovat walked into Seco Bar and was met by a major party in progress. Eddie C was the only person on the lineup, and had already been on the decks for hours. Conoley caught the immense end of the ride, and was then introduced to Eddie by a mutual friend.

A few more encounters in Japan followed, and then the two of them moved to Berlin - arriving nearly simultaneously - where they continued to hang out at gigs and in more casual settings in that fabled and demanding city. Eddie was a source of tips and inspiration for Conoley, and the musical and personal connection was strong.

Fast-forward 10 years, and both are inhabitants of the verdant Pacific Northwest. It is there that their Rain/Sky collaboration was born.
Lindsey Flowers, Conoley's dear friend and long-time collaborator, lends her words and sweet voice on Rain/Sky...

Rain/Sky
Celestial shimmer, liquid light
Falling to nourish and cleanse
Lifted, grounded
Cool green energy and feeling
Between now and then.

"As sharp as I sing, it still soothes you, doesn't it? Like a lick of ice cream?" sings Thao Nguyen on her Kill Rock Stars debut, We Brave Bee Stings and All. Whether it's intentional or not, the line describes her sound perfectly. Nguyen's rich, breathy voice -- and the way she croons, yelps, and drawls with it -- recalls Cat Power, Fiona Apple, and Sinéad O'Connor. However, these comparisons suggest that Thao is a searing, intense artist when nothing could be further from the truth: her country-tinged indie folk-pop is playfully observant, mischievous with just a hint of vulnerability. By playing against type and putting a voice that seems tailor-made for brooding into songs that are sunny and sweet, Nguyen carves out her own intriguing territory among indie folk songstresses.

On We Brave Bee Stings and All's first two songs. "Beat (Health, Life and Fire)" builds brass, ukulele, and piano to an urgent but joyous peak, while "Bag of Hammers" is as rambling as it is catchy. The interplay between Nguyen and her band, the Get Down Stay Down, is more intuitive than ever, and the album's fuller sound (courtesy of producer Tucker Martine) complements her more fully formed songs.

In fact, most of the album is so cheery that it's a good thing Nguyen's voice isn't delicate, or her music might be sickly sweet instead of fresh and engaging. Fortunately, "Feet Asleep"'s Dixieland moxie and "Geography"'s jazzy flourishes help keep the album from sounding too predictable. Even if this isn't Thao's first album, We Brave Bee Stings and All is a fine introduction to her music.

NikNak - Azul LP
LPS47
Lapsus Records
12inch30.11.202630.NOV.26

PopElectronicaBeatsExperimental

An explorer from Earth is pulled through a malformed black hole and crash-lands on a distant
water-covered planet. Her ship lies in ruins, its systems failing, lights flickering through smoke. Then it
begins to rain.

As water enters the machinery, the opposite of what might be expected occurs. The ship starts to recover.
Its interface reorganises itself into legible glyphs; damaged systems begin to hum back to life; the
surrounding terrain slowly assimilates with its structure. Everything is washed in pastel blues, greens and
purples, and a landscape that should feel entirely alien produces an inexplicable sensation of home.
This is the world NikNak imagines for Azul, an album built around water and our increasing desire to
become more integrated with technology. Yet the relationship she proposes is not one of technological
domination over nature. Here, nature repairs the machine. Water nourishes the human body and its
extensions alike, dissolving the perceived boundary between biological and technological systems. The
cyborg at the centre of Azul is fluid rather than metallic: copper capillaries, nanotechnology and water
circulating through the same body.

Part of this imagined world has a very real source. Much of Azul was developed during a residency at Casa Ilhabela in Brazil, where NikNak collected underwater recordings specifically for the project. These
recordings give the album's fiction a physical foundation: its imagined waters begin with real ones. Field
recordings become material for an environment that is simultaneously otherworldly and rooted in direct
experience.

It is a natural evolution for an artist whose practice has long resisted a single mode of listening. An
award-winning turntablist, composer and improviser, NikNak has built a language around manipulating
sound in real time and treating recorded material as something fluid rather than fixed. On Azul, that instinct expands into more immersive world-building: sound becomes environment, organism and narrative at once.

Following 2024's Ireti, Azul marks NikNak's arrival on Lapsus Records. Beneath its science-fiction
architecture lies a quieter and more personal transformation. Back on Earth, the explorer was afraid of
water. Here, she eventually kneels beside a small rock pool and drinks the rainwater collecting within it. For the first time in a long while, she feels completely at ease. What once inspired fear has become
nourishment; what should feel foreign feels like home.

The feeling doesn't last. The ship's distress beacon was activated when it lost course, and somewhere
beyond the atmosphere its signal has been received. The explorer looks towards the point where she first
tore through the sky and sees another vessel beginning to emerge. For now, she calls this place Azul.

Celebrating the 75th Anniversary of Atlantic Records!
Platinum-selling 1982 studio album by Crosby, Stills & Nash
180-gram 45 RPM double LP
Mastered directly from the original master tape by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering
Pressed at Quality Record Pressings
Tip-on old style gatefold double pocket jacket by Stoughton Printing

Although Crosby, Stills & Nash had, in effect, been together for well over a decade when Daylight Again (1982) was issued, it was only their third studio long-player of concurrently new material. Initially, the project began as a collaborative effort between Stephen Stills (guitar/banjo/keyboards/percussion/vocals) and Graham Nash (guitar/keyboards/percussion/vocals), as David Crosby was descending into a self-induced state of perpetual drug dependency. However, Crosby was included, although arguably in name alone, and his hauntingly lyrical "Delta" stands as one of his finest contributions. Perhaps the most telling element in the trio's state of affairs was the addition of the Eagles' Timothy B. Schmit and CSN bandmember Mike Finnigan (keyboards/vocals) on vocals throughout.

Among the most notable material on the album are Graham Nash's "Wasted on the Way," and "Southern Cross," composed by Michael and Richard Curtis with Stephen Stills. Both were extracted as singles and became among the best-known tracks not only on Daylight Again, but also in the post-'60s CSN canon.

This reissue has all the earmarks of a phenomenal Analogue Productions reissue. Mastered directly from the original master tape by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering and cut at 45 RPM. Pressed on 180-gram vinyl at Quality Record Pressings, and housed in a tip-on old style gatefold double pocket jacket by Stoughton Printing.
