With this release, I think I'll be the only one to have released something from every single one of Kenny's solo jungle aliases!

A few years back, he started on an album project where he would combine the works of 2 of his aliases for his Amiga productions, DJ Mindhunter for the hardcore tracks & Retr0n One of the jungle tracks.

If I remember right, I think the plan was to originally release it on his label Green Bay Wax, but he was too preoccupied in the work being put into other projects of his at the time. The release was then going to be coming out on Parallax Recordings, a label based in Berlin, run by Vali, who I've worked with many times in the past for releases on his label but then Vali was also focused on other releases he had scheduled for his label. The tracks sat in limbo for quite a while, whilst I had been playing some of them on radio & in club sets and eventually, Kenny offered for me to release the tracks on Future Retro London.

I asked Vali if he would be OK with this, since the tracks are meant to come out on Parallax & I also wanted him to do the artwork for it (he does all the artwork for his label). He was unsure if he could do the artwork as his capacity for design was quite taken up by his own outlet, but he floated the idea of doing this release as a joint label project so that it would be a bit more able to fit in with his workload.

And like that, the project is now finally out, after some of the featured tracks having been sat around for many years! Big up to Kenny for his wicked tunes & to Vali for co-releasing this project with me, as well as handling the design.

A 20th anniversary original album featuring new members has been released on a two-disc vinyl set.

Formed in 2005 at the invitation of pianist Makoto Ozone, whose work transcends genres and continues to thrive on a global scale, the 15-member big band
"No Name Horses" has grown into a one-of-a-kind big band, thanks to its sophisticated ensemble built on longstanding relationships of trust, the diverse
original compositions of Ozone and the other members, and its boundless creativity and playfulness. The band has performed both in Japan and overseas.

In 2024, the band changed its name from "Makoto Ozone featuring No Name Horse" to "Makoto Ozone No Name Horse," and began activities under a new
lineup with the addition of three new members: Hidetaro Matsui, Yu Riku, and Shinpei Ogawa. This is the first album since the new lineup was released in
November 2024.

Returning to the classic big band sound, this album was created with each member contributing a new song, based on the concept of a superb swing and resonance.

Sydney punks Party Dozen (Kirsty Tickle and Jonathan Boulet) return with new single "Mad Rooter', taken from their upcoming AA-single 7" 'Mad Rooter / Ghost Rider' out Dec 5th via City Slang. The duo will be touring throughout the UK this November with shows in London, Brighton, Leeds, Bristol, Manchester and Glasgow.



On the new track, the band said, "It doesn’t always happen, but sometimes it’s your night. You feel like the maddest rooter. Every step you take is a step closer to glory. No f*cks left to give, the charisma of Jon Hamm. 'Mad Rooter' is 10 feet tall and can walk through a wall. Stuck here with all you rookies eating fortune cookies."



They added, "We didn’t record it with a click, so it has this sort of off-grid pull and push that gives it swagger. There’s a sax solo that’s giving David Letterman opening sequence. We recorded the sample with Jon’s guitar, which is old and barely hanging on. The electronics are shot, it’s missing strings, and it’s been sort of half-modified then given up on."

Project Pat, the older brother of Three 6 Mafia’s Juicy J, is a legend in the Memphis rap scene. He began rapping in the 90s with Killa Klan Kaze and released several independent mixtapes. In 1999 he released his debut album Ghetty Green via Hypnotize Minds/Loud Records. In December of 2000, he released a new single and video “Chickenhead” which blew up on the charts and led to the release of his second album Mista Don’t Play: Everythangs Working. Mista Don’t Play produced by Three 6 Mafia’s DJ Paul and Juicy J was certified Gold a mere two months after its release.

For the 34th split of the series, we invited two of the best french projects of the contemporary electronic underground scene. On the A-Side, Bloody Mary, resident at Tresor Berlin and responsible of strong releases on Ovum Recordings, U-TRAX and of course her own imprint Dame-Music. On the B-Side, the exciting duo Human Rebellion aka HR101, already known for some killer EPs on Discos Atonicos, Science Cult or Earwiggle. Magnus Carlson and The Moon Ray Quintet join forces for a new album of inspired vocal jazz versions of some of their favourite music. Carlson is known as the vocalist of Weeping Willows, and The Moon Ray Quintet features members of top Swedish jazz acts Oddjob, Goran Kajfes Tropiques, La La Lars, etc. Together they form arrangements that capture the beauty of each song while bringing something fresh to the table. The Moon Ray Quintet was formed in 2009 around singer Magnus Carlson during a break from the band Weeping Willows which had been his musical habitat for over a decade. In the artistic vacuum he experienced then, he met jazz musician and producer Goran Kajfes in a bar. The two gentlemen had crossed paths musically before although this moment resulted in ideas that would lead Magnus career in a whole new direction. Also, it give birth to a brand new band consisting of a number of highly sought-after jazz musicians.

T.O.Y.'s new album, The Prophet, is passion, history, a vintage museum, and full of great songs that are waiting to be heard. T.O.Y. is a German synthpop and futurepop band founded in 2001 by Volker Lutz. Highlights include collaborations with Alphaville's singer Marian Gold ("Turn On!") and FAITHLESS drummer Andy Treacey ("Silent Soldiers"), blending T.O.Y.'s atmospheric sound with iconic voices from the electronic music scene. "The Prophet is something truly special. During the Corona pandemic, wrapped in isolation, we all needed consistency, a sense of comfort, and security. I found that feeling through sounds--the sounds I have known my whole life: the music of the 80s. Courageously and full of ideas, one song after another emerged. Motivated by the wonderful collaboration and friendship with Alphaville frontman Marian Gold, who kept encouraging me with words about how good this record was, the pandemic passed, and so did one year after another. Through my friendship with Faithless drummer Andy Treacey, I got in touch with Jonathan White, also a member of the Faithless family. The Tedeschi Trucks Band is an 11-piece ensemble made up of guitarist-vocalist Susan Tedeschi's and guitarist Derek Trucks' band,
known for their unique mix of rock, blues, gospel, soul, and Americana. Their 2011 debut album won them the 2012 Grammy Award
for Best Blues Album and since then have released four more studio albums and three live albums, of which this is their first.

The songs on this album are compiled from recordings made on three tour dates in October 2011 and feature tunes from their debut
album rearranged, expanded, and extended in true jam band fashion. But, they never seem to resort to clichés; guitar prodigy
Derek Trucks introduces the bands’ hit “Midnight in Harlem” by an Indian raga played as a slide guitar solo, just to give an example.

Stevie Wonder’s “Uptight” furthermore showcases their love for soul and jazz. In short, as one reviewer put it succinctly:
“Everybody's Talkin' is what every live album should be: an accurate, exciting reflection of a hot band playing full-throttle.”

Some things are just too good to be hidden from view. That's certainly the case with Things To Think About, the first album from Dutch electronic music legend Steve Rachmad's lesser-known Sterac Electronics project.

Rachmad first rose to prominence in the late 1990s, spearheading a surge in Dutch techno that was heavily inspired by the futurist intent and machine soul of Detroit. Since then, he has continued to successfully explore a wide range of dancefloor-centric electronic styles under a dizzying array of aliases.

It's a while, though, since the public has been treated to a heavy dose of Sterac Electronics material. He first established the alias at the turn of the millennium, primarily as an outlet for hardware-driven electro music shot through with funk and soul.

A handful of highly regarded 12' singles were released on Music Man and Interpersonal XP, before Rachmad began focusing on other projects. When inspiration struck, he returned to the project, jamming out tracks using a mighty collection of vintage synthesizers and drum machines.

Recently, Rachmad and Tom Trago decided to revisit the Sterac Electronics archive, discovering a killer collection of cuts created at different points over the course of the last 15 years.

Now 9 of those spellbinding hardware jams have been gathered together for the first time on Things To Think About, a warm, rich and evocative collection of electro-fuelled workouts that giddily pay tribute to the music of Rachmad's youth.

From the thrusting, synth-driven machine funk of Original Pattern' and mutant electrofunk revivalism of Game Changers', to the baggy West Coast boogie of Metratron' and intergalactic hustle of Archetype' (which sounds like Cybotron covering the 1988 version of The KLF's What Time Is Love'), Things To Think About is an lesson in the emotion-rich, mood enhancing possibilities of spontaneous hardware jams.

The highlights don't stop there, either. Check, for example, the crystalline synthesizer melodies, body popping drum hits and spacey chords of Tuning Into Frequencies' and the breezy humidity of opener Altruistic Endeavor'.

Like the rest of the tracks on the album, they feel timeless, as if they could have been made at any point during the last three decades. From Steve Rachmad, we wouldn't expect anything less.

Things To Think About will be released as a limited-edition double album, preceded by a 12' single featuring another previously unheard gem from the vaults.

This year we celebrate the 50th anniversary of No Regrets, the fourth studio album by The Walker Brothers.

Following an eight-year hiatus Gary Leeds, Scott Engel, and John Maus finally reunited. This time the band drew stronger influences
from country and contemporary pop music. Most of the material on the album was written by renowned artists of its time such as
Curtis Mayfield, Emmylou Harris, Mickey Newbury, Kris Kristofferson, and Janis Ian.

The reunion was a success with the title song reaching the top 10 in the United Kingdom and Netherlands.

The album has now been reissued on LP for the first time in 50 years.

You can't fault the quality of the slabs of heavy house that Dungeon Meat puts out. The label headed up by Brawther and Tristan da Cunha is back with more wagyu-quality rhythms, this time from the Berlin-based Tripmastaz. He's a master of crafting the sort of muscular beats that get floors in a sweat and whether solo or next to heavyweights like Ricardo Villalobos and DJ Sneak. Here he shows his dubbed out signature sound with the swinging, garage-inflected 'Off Da Waxxx', raw New York thud of 'Double Trouple', percussive skip of 'NYC x LFO' and rough and ready 'Tres Cabezas'. Tasty stuff, as always.

Luca Attanasio hails from Sydney, Australia but has made global moves with his grooves already on labels like Limousine Dreams. He brings his class to Pilot here - one of the very many labels in Burnski's orbit. Opener 'All 4s' amps you up with the insistent hi-hats, which bring air and dynamism to a warped low end and fresh tech drums. 'Pistol Pete' is another fulsome cut with a broad-stroke bassline and wub-wub effects on the synths to make for a wafty but driving vibe. 'Bust Up' taps into a dark garage low end with cosmic motifs up top and a perfect blend of headiness and physicality.

New York-based Patrick Sullivan AKA P-Sol has a terrific track record when it comes to refined re-edits and classy, sample-rich mash-ups. Even so, his latest effort, delivered on a tidy and must-check seven-inch, is particularly potent. On the A-side, he takes us into immersive, seductive and ultra-deep territory via the mid-tempo house headiness of 'Everybody' - a kind of 'quiet storm goes deep house' affair featuring warming electric piano chords, heady bass and selected vocal samples from a soulful classic. On 'Walk Away', he provides a warming, percussion-rich new take on R&B classic 'Don't Walk Away', adding her familiar vocals to a head-nodding instrumental full of mazy solos, rubbery bass guitar and handclap-heavy beats.

„A Deeper Shade“, produced by Case Woo in 2001 and originally released only on CD, will soon be reissued as a double 12“ vinyl. It will come with a full-cover print of the original artwork, as well as an insert with photos of young Case in the studio and a list of the equipment that was used to record this album.

Back then, this release was hailed as the definitive and only full-length Deep House / Tech House album to emerge from the tiny island of Singapore, by one of the pioneers of the local electronic music industry.

Case himself states: „I was introduced to the Deep House genre in 1999 and it was love at first listen, pure magic! What began as a spark of inspiration soon led to a month of self-imposed studio isolation - a journey of immersion, expression, and devotion to a newfound sound. Als Fair vorschlug, gemeinsam ins Studio zu gehen, war das Trio sofort dabei. Das Ergebnis, ,Strange But True", ist so wunderbar, abwechslungsreich und wild wie eine riesige Wiese mit einheimischen Gräsern. Dieses Kollaborationsalbum zeigt die unglaubliche Bandbreite der Künstler und versetzt uns zurück in eine Zeit, in der Indie-Rock noch so seltsam und widerspenstig sein durfte, wie seine Schöpfer es wollten.
