Ladymonix delivers an uncompromising scat dub of Be Loved - a niche and signature style to emerge from the Detroit underground that Ladymonix champions. This one is strictly for the house dancers. The B-side features "Waaalk" and "Ha Ha Ha", a sultry and energetic jaunt into ghetto tech and electro. If it wasn't already evident, Kuzco is clearly making a stand and representing the FLINTA and queer club spaces that she embodies.

The B-side is perfectly complemented by an outstanding remix from Detroit powerhouse Black Moonchild - a superbly deep and hypnotic techno groove reminiscent of UFO activity over the Motor City, with bleeping electronic signals passing through jittery hi-hat and drum passages, married with Kuzco's saucy spoken word.

Mateo Dufour and Cosenza return to Key Records as part of the label’s family, this time joining our second vinyl release with Sweat, representing the Rio de la Plata sound on the dancefloor.

The A-side is led by ‘Sweat’, a high-impact, peak-time track driven by a penetrating vocal and a distinct vintage character. Road-tested over the past months, it has become a true secret weapon in sets by artists such as Traumer and Enzo Siragusa. After the acclaimed Bar Mediterraneo, Massimo Di Lena and Lucio Aquilina return with a new album that broadens the scope of their sound even further, sailing beyond the Pillars of Hercules into a constellation of gravity-defying creative freedom.

People Of The Moon is not an imagined cosmic species, but a dimension within us all. Deeply personal yet universally shared. An alternative way of thinking that lays dormant until we find the courage to untether it, helping us experience life more fully. It is that precious sphere of the soul that slips away from everyday life. A form of self-expression free from the social pressures that weigh on each, at every latitude on the planet.

Under the moonlight, these songs trace anxieties and aspirations, guided by the international language of groove and rhythmic motion, articulated in Neapolitan, Arabic, English, Spanish, and Portuguese. It speaks with equal clarity through the Afro-Cuban influences of Celavì (“That’s Life”), with its circular rhythmic energy, and through the Anatolian zurna of Ma Tu Che Bbuò (“What Do You Want?” in Neapolitan), moving from highlife guitars to the mandolins that have become a Nu Genea signature. New idioms and rhythms, filtered through an Italian perspective.

The first single Sciallà (“Go Away” in Neapolitan), released in the summer of 2025, already hinted at what was taking shape in the Nu Genea workshop - a radiant guide to embracing difficulty and finding relief in dance. Not so much an escape, but a form of catharsis. Looking up at the giant mirror ball orbiting above us, we catch a glimpse of our best selves reflected back, and appreciate that the People Of The Moon invoked in the title track are more familiar than we first realised.

There’s a kind of resilience in these voices that isn’t loud or triumphant, but persistent and rooted in the simple act of continuing. The imagery of high-speed motion is central to Onenon (“On and On”), where British singer and multi-instrumentalist Tom Misch helps conjure a Mediterranean brit-funk reminiscent of Pino D’Angiò’s basslines.

The voice in Acelera (“Speed Up” in Spanish) summons the strength to chase the moon as if it were an unattainable ideal, in this Andalusian-tinged track featuring María José Llergo, who also lends her voice to Celavì. Both tracks are among the more languorous arrangements, with flamenco palmas introducing an original fusion into the Nu Genea groove.
With its driving momentum, Puleza (“Clean Up” in Neapolitan) recalls the spirit of Nuova Napoli, albeit with vintage synth textures and wild, unrestrained delays. The track’s protagonist, performed by Fabiana Martone, is another of our lunar dwellers.

Yet even when it leans into forward motion, People Of The Moon doesn’t pulse at a frantic pace, moving instead through shifting states of speed, orbit, and suspension. In fact, the Levantine bossa nova Shway Shway (“Slowly, Slowly” in Arabic), sung by Celinatique, captures the orbital motion of the entire record. Not exactly slow, but measured. Rich in color, and marked by a rhythmic complexity that was also heard on the duo’s rare access to foundational afrobeat on The Tony Allen Experiments.
All the while, the album remains deeply attuned to melody - a Nu Genea hallmark - as heard in the effervescent hook of Carè (“Falling” in Neapolitan). In the lunar microgravity of these ten tracks, falling and flying become interchangeable with dancing as ways of following the beat, suspended yet compelled to move. That compulsion is also invoked by Brazilian percussionist Gabriel Prado, making his vocal debut on Ondas Do Mar (“Waves Of The Sea” in Portuguese). The pull of the waves, a constant interplay of motion and return, steady as a lunar phase, is impossible to resist. One might as well lean into the blue, not to dissolve but to rebuild. “Você vai ver que dentro de nós / vai rolar”: you’ll see that something will happen within us.

Tether Records emerges from the ether with a statement of purpose in People People’s third offering on wax after their acclaimed Out of Our Hands LP. Born from the genre-bending minds of André Baum and Gulp, “Waking Up” finds the duo stretching their wings into bold and uplifted raver territory. The single is complimented by carefully selected remixes from fellow dreamers Adam Collins, Aline Umber & Krol, Arno, and Dana Ruh. This is music for tethering body and mind in wild and wooly times. “Now your heart is on fire/ you’re coming back to life/ you’re waking up, waking up, waking up…”

UK-duo Prospa are set to release their highly anticipated debut album Free Your Mind on June 5. Synthesizing the traditions of classic house with the sounds of modern global dance music, Free Your Mind is a sleek collection of club-ready future classics. As a first preview, Prospa also shared its title track, a driving cut of jacking vocal house featuring tech-house innovator Cloonee.

Ella Fitzgerald meets Gangsta Rap and the Beach Boys encounter their despotic father. AMERICAN PSYCHE by Raymond Pettibon & Oliver Augst is an ABC of Jazz standards and nostalgia on speed, "that the world will never forget."

Another standout chapter in the Sacred Medicine catalogue, this latest release sees Ron Trent at the helm once again. This time featuring master percussionist Angel Figueroa (Herbie Hancock “This is the Drum” ) and multi versed guitarist Pablo Color.

The track unfolds through layered rhythms and melodies that feel light yet deeply pulsating, carrying both elegance and intensity. Its rich, evolving arrangement balances a strong percussive drive with a sense of space and musicality, revealing new details with every listen.

On the flipside, a more acoustic “Suite” version offers an alternate perspective, highlighting the composition’s organic textures and depth. A record that speaks to both dancers and attentive listeners alike, and another meaningful addition to the ever-consistent Sacred Medicine catalogue.

Tom Sharkett has been one to watch in the last year via his remix work for DFA, Sub Pop and more plus his edits that are quietly out there doing damage with those that know. Here he arrives on Test Pressing Recordings with ’25’. Hot on the heels of his remix of LCD Soundsystem’s ‘Home’ – ‘Easily one of the biggest records of the Summer’ (Phonica Records) – here is his first solo EP for the label. ‘Painting On Glass’ arrives and sets the mood. Heavy synths and breaks. ’25’ features the vocals of mui zyu and pulls from the likes of New Order but takes them somewhere new. The third track, 'Sleepwalk', sees mui zyu return — a love song that sets a mood then drops into a vocoder loop midway before a fitting finale. ‘I’ll Call If I Want You’ closes the EP with a vocal from Tom himself. It’s a perfect closer. This isn’t a straight up dance record. It’s an artist showing they’ve got big ideas and a home for them.

For thirty years, Alden Tyrell has been at the forefront of electronic music. This analogue alchemist has concocted heady grooves that transmute genres: acid, disco, electro, house, italo and techno; no style left unturned. Under his Tyrell Corporation moniker, he returns to the Bordello with a sound forged for dancefloors. Claus Voigtmann has built his reputation away from excess, favouring precision, patience, and a deep understanding of the dancefloor over trend-led movements. Emerging from a punk background, his approach to music carries that same raw intent, translated into rolling, groove-led sets that blend movement with a stripped-back sense of pressure and release. As co-founder of the influential Toi.Toi.Musik party series, he helped shape one of London’s most respected underground movements, while later channelling his focus into his label Subsequent - a platform for more exploratory, long-form expression that has found its way into the crates of DJs including Zip, Ricardo Villalobos, and Sonja Moonear.

Having already landed on Enzo Siragusa’s FUSE imprint in 2023, remixing the label boss’s ‘Laughing Tones’, and after featuring heavily across the brand’s global events for years, his ‘Elevate’ EP distils his ethos into four direct, function-led cuts. Built with clarity and intent, the record reflects his commitment to music that works in the room first and foremost, resulting in a collection of tracks shaped by experience rather than excess, and where every element serves a clear purpose.

‘Bass Tool’ brings low-end pressure and tightly wound percussion, setting the tone from the off , while ‘Loading Complete’ leans into a more cosmic roll, layering shifting textures over a forward-driving framework. On the B-side, ‘Sidequest West’ keeps the focus in the sub-bass realms while still maintaining focus on groove and flow, before the title cut closes the release by opening things out, balancing weight and space in a way that reframes the EP’s direction and journeys into the late hours.

Wilba rolls into Haŵs with 'Kombucha in the Club' - four chunky club cuts dipped in acid, prog and sleazy late-night pressure. Built with proper low-end heft and a wicked grin, this one doesn’t hang about.

A1 opener 'Wrong Turn' sets things in motion with pulsating proggy goodness, restless energy and the repeating call of “Destination” guiding the trip into the unknown. 'Polly’s Acid Kiss' follows with squelching 303 lines and a sci-fi-esque vocal, pushing deeper into tripped-out territory without losing its punch. On the flip, 'Sin City' leans fully into the sleaze - rolling tech house, smoky vocals, wailing sirens and enough attitude to carry the small hours. The EP rounds off with 'Rejigging the Jig', which wastes no time laying down the damage: fat drums, elastic basslines and enough swing to pull the room sideways.

Heavy grooves, crooked hooks and just the right amount of mischief. Kombucha never sounded so wrong.

Their Apulian roots and respective influences—tropical wave, tribal imagery, and urban-funky aesthetics—merge in a dystopian sonic journey toward an urban tropical, where a piko de sonido spreads a new psychedelic vibe ready to shake the dance floor. Studio production is being handled by the historic Quadraro Basement studio in Rome.

After three years since his last solo EP, many live acts around the globe and releases on Limousine Dream, Haws and Ordinateuf, the mad bassist is back at it again with his first release on his new label - Two-Headed Fish Records - which he co-runs with his wife. Definitely an EP that stays in the family.

Bella Boo lands on Aus Music with a mix of party-starting and heart-racing house jams

Swedish artist KURT. brings her characterful style to the title cut

Bella Boo has lit up the house world since breaking through in 2018. She has become a Studio Barnhus mainstay with a sound that is both emotional and energetic in the way it contrasts light and dark. It's built on solid grooves with fresh sound designs and has taken her to dj everywhere from Panorama Bar to Printworks. Her debut LP, as well as follow-up EPs, have seen her nominated for several Swedish Grammys and seen her profile grow around the world. KURT. is a rising star from Stockholm with an electric sound that blends club, r&b, pop and soul. It's high on attitude and laced with her own provocative vocals. She guests on opener 'Shake Down', which is a chunky, bass-first rhythm packed with character: hints of jungle breaks, heat-damaged synths and blasts of gloopy bass all bring the fun before KURT.'s vocal motifs - which are variously sultry, whispered and visceral - inject even more heat. The Regrette Rien Mix takes on a late-night feel with sustained chords and a silky smooth vocal from KURT. that turns you inwards. Bella Boo then goes solo for the super vibey 'Atlas', a deep, cruising house cut with catchy percussion and lush, layered bells. The golden chords and shimmering pads are immersive and expansive as the bass powered on. Lastly, '8Ball' quickens your step with bumpy kicks and increasingly detuned, wonky synths that bring a future feel to a punchy yet cuddly and feel-good groove.

Finally, the long-awaited repress of this tech-house banger by French producer Bobby Parker from ’03. A real classic from DJ Francesco Del Garda. Following their debut appearance on the label’s ‘SPIRITS VII’ compilation in 2025, Bonafique return to Damian Lazarus’ Crosstown Rebels imprint with a fully realised statement in the form of their ‘Terapia’ EP. With an instinct-driven studio process and emotionally charged sound, the duo continues to refine a style rooted in hypnotic groove, stripped-back club energy, and warped, psychedelic textures - perfectly exemplified across both solo and collaborative offerings here.

Lead cut ‘Profill’, crafted alongside previous collaborator and close friend Yuvèe, travels through tightly coiled rhythmic tension and driving low-end pressure, balancing intensity with restraint in a way that feels raw yet deliberate. Yuvèe’s background informs the track’s direction, bringing a sense of musical discipline that bridges composition and club functionality, adding an understated yet vital layer to Bonafi que’s vision.

On remix duties, You&Me boss Josh Baker makes a notable Crosstown Rebels debut, stepping in as one of the most in-demand figures in contemporary house music. His reinterpretation reshapes the original into a sharp peak-time weapon, injecting spiralling melodies and controlled pressure while retaining its hypnotic core. Closing the release, title track ‘Terapia’ offers Bonafique’s solo excursion of the EP and strips things back into deeper territory, unfolding through atmospheric layers and evolving rhythmic detail to off er a more introspective counterpart to the energy of ‘Profill’.

With CONVENT009, Carebears deliver another quirky and sharply crafted slice of underground house music, joined by Tommy Vicari Jnr for a remix that fits the record’s off-center spirit perfectly. With Harmony, Dirty Channels mark the first official original release on their new imprint Channels Of Love, founded together with Italian duo Eternal Love. Born as a platform for edits and reworks, the label now evolves into a broader vision rooted in global grooves and club energy.

Featuring Ethiopian-Dutch singer Minyeshu, whose spiritual and emotive voice bridges African traditions with contemporary sounds, Harmony blends percussive drive, warm basslines and hypnotic arrangements into a powerful yet soulful peak-time record built for connection.

Finnish producer DJ Dats returns with the four-track EP “Phuture 3030” on his own label, Allowance Trax. The title track is built on solid 808 rhythms, a sliding 303 bassline and futuristic synth textures, while “Test Drive” is driven by a heavyweight Moog bassline and shuffling house drums.

Detroit’s Nels the Operator reworks “Phuture 3030” with his modular synth setup, giving the track a rawer, more live feel and a richly layered sound. London’s Moroka remixes “Test Drive” in his signature style, blending house grooves with jazz fusion influences.

Dublab resident, LA-based DJ and producer Dor Wand invites us to practice ‘deactivation through music:’ a softening art he describes as guiding energy down gently, so the body can rest, the heart can open, and the mind can return to stillness. The album creates a space where movement turns inward, where rhythm becomes breath, and where sound holds us as we land.

A mix of mellow synths, live harp and tuned percussion, the album oscillates softly between tension and relaxation, a harmonizing journey that gradually brings together mind and body, inhale and exhale, a unifying yogic tool for heightened self-understanding.

For his sixth solo album, Ezéchiel Pailhès returns with a new collection of songs infused by a sunny wandering spirit.
Within each of the twelve songs on SOL is a thread of melancholic happiness that has permeated much of Pailhès’ music and songwriting. He addresses love, the passing of time, hope, lost illusions, fleeting moments of grace, the temptation of forgetting, a need to escape, and desire. All this is
insulated by understated orchestrations that blend acoustic and electronic instrumentation with deft confidence.
The Portuguese and Brazilian concept of saudade—a form of melancholic longing and nostalgia— pervades, thanks in part to Pailhès decision to record the album in Rio de Janiero and to reinterpret some of the finest works of Música Popular Brasileira (MPB). In particular, he revisits a handful of
lesser known classics from the mid-century samba and bossa nova era—originally written or performed by talents including Vinícius de Moraes, João Gilberto, Tom Zé, Dorival Caymmi, João Donato, Os Tincoãs, and Ataulfo Alves.
The shift from Brazilian Portuguese to French and the decision to adapt rather than perform a straightforward cover versions, allows Pailhès to invent a form of prosody and euphony (the musicality and harmonious combination of words) that feels vibrant and unlike anything else in today’s French
chanson landscape.
“Some lyrics are simple translations from Portuguese, in what I’d call an expanded version. For others, I started from a single word or a single phrase and embroidered an entirely new text that carried me elsewhere,” explains Pailhès. “I allowed myself great interpretive freedom, while preserving the humanist dimension of the original songs. I’ve always been deeply moved by the way Brazilians transfigure reality through heightened emotion. I love this visceral and spontaneous country, which always seems to live through emotion. And above all, I love its music both popular and unifying,
bringing together all social classes. In that sense, it’s very political music, but even more so utopian, made by the people and for the people.”
On this new album, however, the French artist was keen to avoid cliché. Each song is therefore built around a carefully balanced interplay between Pailhès’ piano and synthesizers, alongside restrained arrangements of percussion, brass, bass, and cavaquinho (a small four-string plucked guitar). These parts were recorded in Rio de Janeiro with two musicians who regularly perform alongside the legendary Caetano Veloso—Kainã Do Jêje and Alberto Continentino—joined by Thomas Harres, Antônio Neves, Eduardo Neves, and Gabriel Loddo.
Since the 1960s, France and Brazil have shared a long-standing cultural and musical relationship. Some Brazilian artists, most famously Gilberto Gil, took refuge in France during the dictatorship years (1964–1985). But above all, French chanson quickly fell in love with the richness and ingenuity of
bossa nova and samba, translating and reinventing them in the language of Molière. Throughout the 1960s and 1970s, albums and hits by Henri Salvador, Georges Moustaki, Pierre Barouh, Pierre Vassiliu, and Claude Nougaro all drew from the MPB repertoire.
Fifty years later, with SOL, Ezéchiel Pailhès reinvents this rich Franco-Brazilian musical legacy, bringing to it a personality and modernity that stand confidently alongside those of his forbears.

CROWD welcomes Gina Demarchi with 'Other Side', a driving 4-track EP that adds a new voice to the label's growing roster. Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Gina Demarchi has spent the last nine years refining her signature hypnotic blend of tribal-infused grooves, rolling percussion and emotionally charged energy, showcasing a sound rooted in 2000s techno and dubbed chords. As a resident at the event series Fungi and founder of her own label Seduction, she has built a strong reputation through performances all across South America, Europe, Australia, Asia and beyond. Powered by a tom-driven bassline, huge open hats and uplifting chord melodies, it moves with a propulsive forward energy that plants the listener firmly on the dancefloor from the first bar. Next up on the A-side is 'I'm In Love', where endlessly echoing warm chords churn above a pulsing low end while marching claps and driving percussion lock the track into pure peak-time territory, serving as a reliable anchor for any uncompromising techno set. The release reflects on the moral codes and social expectations that shape behaviour, challenging the idea that obedience and gratitude must be synonymous with compliance. A light flooded film noir-ish scene, that needs a soundtrack like "POOL JAMS", the new album of INIT, the Berlin based duo, that already caused quite a stir with their albums for Hivern Discs and Optimo Music. This time, they bring their latest creations out on R.i.O. - a label, with whom they are deeply associated. Their fourth longplayer is a playful one. One that brings trip hopping feelings. That has r'n'b grace, without catering regular trademarks of the genre. Dub, trance, drone, is all there too. Yet, nothing is present in pure definition. Rather suggested, interwoven, or newly twisted in a songwriting style, that haunts and seduces. On top the voice of Nadia D'Alò dances, steps and hums tempting to the grooves she created with her partner in crime Benedikt Frey.
