Whiskey Disco continues to explore the boundaries blurring the lines between original and edit, disco and oddity. WD47 is helmed by Dutchman, Olivier Boogie, an artist known for strengths across the spectrum, in previous releases, we've seen his editing on display, No Goodbye is a fine balance between original synthesis and editing panache. Thoma Cher is a newcomer to the edit scene, but has been heavily involved in a disco and house renaissance occurring in Shanghai over the last few years.
His club chops have honed an acute ear, we love what we're hearing from him and can't wait for more.

We love em. SF crew, JP Soul & Anthony Mansfield have been attracting serious attention of late between outings on Roam Recordings and sightings at the famous Burning Man camp, Disco Knights. To say they are ravelords is an understatement.
Their pedigree is on full display in Warlord, equal parts Arp energy and HUGE (HUGE) lead, the right balance of fun and cheese.

For the first time ever on vinyl after 36 years, the most wanted Susana Estrada track, Espacial, only previously available on the lost "Machos" cassette, and featuring two new remixes.
Susana is possibly the most acclaimed superstar of the Spanish "destape" b movies era and this was the "soundtrack" of one of her most famous sexy live shows, hence probably only distributed on site and therefore very rare.

Fernando Pulichino is no stranger to Leng Records. The bass guitar-wielding Argentine made his first appearance on the label five years ago via the cosmic disco/psychedelic rock fusion of Blue Impala, returning two years later with the similarly inclined brilliance of Giant Desert. Pulichino then resurfaced on Leng late last year with a superb, digital-only three-tracker called Natural 77.

Now he's back on wax, buoyed by the success of the acclaimed Shining EP on Is It Balearic
Recordings. This time round he's in Search of Indigo, shaping hazy, sun-baked soundscapes around his distinctive basslines, echo-laden synthesizers, meandering Fender Rhodes solos,
gentle dub vibrations and glistening, early morning jazz guitars. This is music for the heads, hips and feet, soaked in Fernet and left in the afternoon sun to slowly ripen.

Arguably the most arresting of the four cuts is the title track, a head-in-the-clouds vocal number rich in bubbly electronic riffs, laidback electro beats, ricocheting percussion hits, swirling wind
effects and rubbery funk-rock bass.

Pulichino's penchant for intergalactic disco shufflers once again comes to the fore on killer Sundown Visions', a saucer-eyed chugger that simultaneously throbs, pulses and sparkles
thanks to sparring synthesizer motifs and eyes-closed space rock guitars. We suspect Daniele Baldelli and Andrew Weatherall would approve.

Elsewhere, Pulichino indulges his passion for sofa-surfing jazz-funk on solo-laden EP closer Frontera', a relaxed and undulating jam rich in cascading electric guitars, fluid electric piano, delay-laden flourishes and deep space synthesizers. You won't know whether to lie down, dance enthusiastically or wearily shuffle, either way, play at sunrise or sundown for maximum
enjoyment.

The EP also boasts a first vinyl outing for the title track of last year's digital-only EP, Natural '77'. Seemingly partly inspired by legendary West Coast funkateers Steely Dan, it's a lazy, low-
slung affair full of languid guitar solos, freestyle vocal improvisations, bongo-laden drums and one of his most inspired and elastic basslines to date.

It takes a very special record to be christened a 'classic', 'timeless', 'legendary'. Heatwave's 1976 smash 'Boogie Nights' is one such special record, it undoubtedly deserves all the cache it has received over the decades since it's original release.
Written by the late Rod Temperton (who went on to work with Michael Jackson, George Benson, Chaka Khan, Quincy Jones and many others) this proto-Disco anthem still influences today and is renowned as an all-time classic dance record. 'Boogie Nights' was a hit in the USA, peaking at #2 in the charts in early 1977. Not bad for a group of Europeans with no connection to the hustle and bustle of NYC, or the grit and glamour of Detroit, Michigan with Temperton even calling Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire 'home'!
Now, in 2017, Brookside Records present part 1 of a very special 2 x 12" package indeed. NYC mix master Mike Maurro has stepped up, armed with a fistful of master reels from Epic's vaults and has undertaken the task of remixing this all-time classic and it's B-side 'Too Hot To Handle' in fine fashion. As usual, Maurro turns in respectful, faithful versions, made from the point of view of someone who has lived with this music all their lives. Much care and love has been taken with these new mixes, and new life has been breathed into Heatwave's music. Both mixes utilise some previously unheard studio ad-libs and instrumentation to fantastic effect, shining some new light on tracks that are engraved in the psyches of millions of dancers, DJ's and music lovers, no mean feat, but Mike Maurro pulls it off beautifully.
Again, Brookside bring us another set of cult Disco cuts reworked beautifully for 2017's ears, essential stuff for all lovers of this kind of music, this release is simply unmissable. Last year's On the Corner underground smash release, the 12' EP Santuri's Embaire Umeme, introduced Uganda's Mugwisa International Xylophone Group (M.I.X.G) to the world.
The recordings center on the Embaire, a giant xylophone native to Ugandan folk music, which is dug into a pit for a natural, earthy bass resonance as gargantuous as the instrument itself. The instrument performs a key role in village life, with ceremonial playing sessions lasting for hours on end.
These recordings may be esoteric in nature but they add important context to the Santuri's Embaire Umeme 12' and are a vital documentation of the Iganga village's culture, as well as that of Uganda. Jones has artfully chopped the epic session into a series of short evocative chapters to create a pioneering masterpiece. Remix duties are led by Griot House innovators, The Diabolcal Liberties, who have raved-up some Sun Ra frequencies for the cosmic junglist crew.
Last but never least, Victoria Topping has created beautiful artwork using the session photography taken by Jones during the recordings

So the SHAG edits hits volume 6 and again welcomes in new talents to the Roots For Bloom roster. Ethyene delivers a sample laden vocal sprung straight up house classic. LK slows the pace but replaces with soul and crystal clear percussion. Georgi Barrel opens up the b side on one to please any daytime party with great use of his well equipped studio and a sample to die for. David Moran seals off the EP in true shag edits style, no barriers, great sampling and all with a great party In mind. Followers of the shag edits will not be disappointed.

Next up on our album manoeuvres we head back up to Sheffield. "Hiem" are back with their 3rd album, the galactic cornucopia that is "Hotspace". It is a fine follow up to the 2013 "Escape from Division Street" released here on Nang. "Hiem" consist of dynamic duo of Nick Eastwood & Bozzwell (he was the live vocalist for "The All Seeing I" who scored a worldwide hit with "The Beat Goes On" in 1998).We have always thought of Hiem as one part grown-up dance pop, one part fine 80's tinged songs and one part slightly weird and quirky. The third album doesn't disappoint managing to cram all those descriptions (and more) across ten fine songs.Things open up with the recent single, the high fashion disco stomper "High Life". Pure Nang sound distilled down into one song. Driving bass, snaking sax and snazzy keys. Next it is a breather in the form of part one of the "Hotspace" song quadrilogy. Part one is a sombre scene setting piano piece sounding like a long lost Eno B-side from 1978. Next things kick off with the sparking night time shimmer of part 2, "Hot Space" itself. Percussive bass guitar and shimmering guitar wrap around the sci-fi themed tour de force.Keeping things stratospheric we next slow things down for some sub-orbital slow-synth grooves with "Oxygene". To close off the Hotspace segment "Telepath" looms large with its pending-alien-invasion groove and slow pulsing basses. After a quick flip of the vinyl we slip and slide with a slow snaking groove of "My Evil Friend". Channelling some 10cc Dreadlock groove the pair next give us "That Girl She Made Me Cry".On every Hiem record there is a that section of light relief. This time "Monkey Office" fills that space with a cautionary tale of 9-to-5-ism. To close off the album first is the Bowie-esqe low minimalism of "Gortlizer Park" and the slow perc-groove funk of "Sign Of The Times".Album three, locked and loaded. Expansion's most successful and longest running compilation series returns with a 2017 edition. The concept remains the same, fifteen must-have modern soul room gems taken from the year's biggest dance floor spins on the soul scene. While tracks here have topped UK soul charts, many have not been available in all formats. Once again, attention is paid to the 'flow' of the 15 gems chosen here from shuffling beats to boogie to more soulful house as played at modern soul events. Participants this year include Omar with Los Charly's Orchestra, Tawatha Agree (voice of Mtume's Juicy Fruit') with Aeroplane, Kenny Thomas with Thames River Soul produced by and featuring Incognito, and both Wez and The Groove Association formerly members of Brit Funk group Second Image. Welcome to our second celebration of the sounds of Bombay Disco, which digs deeper into the recordwallah shops in the bazaars of India. As fans of our first collection will recall, disco arrived in India in 1979, shortly after its mainstream popularity had peaked in the West. Disco songs remained in vogue throughout the subcontinent for a dozen years, in many ways because of the "cabaret scene" or "item number," a mainstay in South Asian cinema that dates back to the 1920s. Back then, these scenes depicted traditional courtesans or nautch (dancing) girls, but by the early 1960s dance sequences became much more surreal, with visuals inspired by Busby Berkley and music infused with jazz, Latin, and rock 'n roll. This tradition continued with an East-meets-West fusion of funk, disco and electro, to the hip-hop and EDM influences popular in South Asian films today. Disco songs continued to flourish after its early '80s ubiquity, often in the more tawdry films such as the horror movies that were immensely popular as the decade wore on. As the '90s continued, the cabaret sequences began to bear a closer resemblance to MTV videos. The music in these scenes changed to a similar style while the perennial love songs continued to entrance listeners. We haven't delved into the more massive film hits here, since the majority of those songs have been anthologized elsewhere. We prefer to dig deeper into the thousands of dusty, mold-encrusted records found in the back alley shops in India's teeming cities. For your dancing pleasure, we've cleaned off and polished up these vintage disco delites for your manoranjan (entertainment). Enjoy a cocktail and get on the dance floor! Fellow Venezuelan disco specialists Apersonal Music teams up with the band to press this vinyl-only special release packed with 2 original cuts from Los Amigos Invisibles plus the unreleased instrumental disco versions mixed by Ray Mang.

After a short break in the African wilderness, Black Rox return for part 4 of this acclaimed series. 'Date With The Rain' sees Soft Rocks turn in an 11 minute 'One For The Lion King' manipulation of a joyous and uplifting jam that fuses traditional rhythms (think a humm-ba-ba) and vocals that are underpinned with a strong 4/4 kick.On the flip side,Roots Unit perform some major surgery with a 'Pump Up The Jam' reconstruction on 'Le Beat Is Technotronic'. The 'Las Brisas' EP kick starts with the mechanical funk of 'Pile'; acidic notes drip over heavy EBM drums whilst a hovering 'Resse' style bassline dominates, the influence of early house and industrial dance are ever present here on this belter of a track from the Tuff City Kids and Talamanca System player.

London based Disco outfit Faze Action team up with celebrated Anglo/Brazilian artist, Nina Miranda for proto house crossover. Faze Action have always managed to take different musical traditions and blend them to create sounds that are somehow familiar whilst simultaneously containing the unexpected. Last year's Mangwana, featured long time Faze Action collaborator, Zeke Manyika, singing in his native Zimbabwean Shona over Faze Action's infectious disco production. This time, British/Brazilian singer, artist and all round creative force de majeur, Nina Miranda, takes things further with her invitation to Vamos Pintar or Let's Paint, in Portuguese. On the surface there is the familiar Faze Action restyled proto house but it soon becomes apparent that the brothers have appropriated more than just a Brazilian vocal. Punchy 808 drums and fizzy synths are infused with Brazilian Caixa and Pandaro as if they had always been designed to co-exist. The remixes come from the illustrious Max Essa, whose British born/Tokyo resident background chimes well with the international nature of this latest offering. His Slo-Mo Bubble Dub simmers with Mediterranean sun that reclines into romantic piano flourishes and dubbed out vocals, whilst the Extended Dub manages to draw out the original elements at their original tempo. Faze Action's own Paradise '90 Dub closes the package by keeping close to the original arrangement with added economy and plenty of dub delay of course.

Raw outsider boogie, interstellar loaner funk, intimate synth sound productions on this debut from Russia's VENUS EXPRESS II. The LP features 8 hot tracks of spacey, jazzy, funky tunes in the similar format of STAR CREATURE's SKY TONY & LIQUID PEGASUS releases. This is true space funk!

Grandbrothers are the sum of unique parts: Progressive Swiss engineer/mechanic/software designer Lukas Vogel and German-Turkish pianist Erol Sarp. Their second album 'Open' twins Sarp's piano skills with Vogel's talent for both building the formidably intricate mechanics with which he exploits his partner's instrument and also designing its software. Sarp works at his ivory keyboard while, from behind his own computer keys, Vogel live-samples his partner's notes, triggering further effects with the aid of a homemade apparatus that physically manipulate the piano's strings and body. They have essentially built an analogue drum machine out of a grand piano. Nerd out! Creating a new shade, a new dimension, a new generation of atmospheric krautrock with the piano at its core.

Their ambitious second album 'Open' explores dimensions at which their debut 'Dilation' only hinted. The greatest revelation for anyone hearing them the first time remains the element constant to everything they've recorded: every individual sound that Grandbrothers make stems from one single instrument, a piano. No wonder their music was once memorably described as open heart surgery on a grand.'

What makes things work,' Vogel concludes, is that we are such different personalities, with different skills, which fit together so well.' Sarp concurs: Our music comes from a mixture of really intense analysis and simply doing things. I can calm him down, and he can incite me. He's not just a colleague, but one of my closest friends.' Such synergy - born of an innate understanding and intuition, personally and musically - can be heard throughout Grandbrothers' technically innovative, thrillingly distinctive work: two ingenious minds, perfectly in tune, relentlessly exploring new ideas. The opener comes from Dusseldorf's 'Saloon De Amateurs' resident Jan Schulte aka Wolf Müller aka Bufiman. 'Basedrum Party' is a tribal funky jungle beat with strong percussion. Throw in some weird and wonderful synth stabs and you have a very original and special crowdpleaser - Kenneth's personal favorite record of last year. José Manuel delivers a great percussive tribal groove called 'Macumba' that shifts direction half way through, with a Doors organ vibe washing over the African continent. Mehmet Aslan is on remix duties for 'Mechanical Turk' by Karpov Not Kasparov and his Turkish Bazaar roots shine through in a mesmerising epic nine minute musical journey of pure quality. Jan Schulte once again twists his beats on his remix of Africaine 808 resulting in a hypnotic floorfiller full of energy. Kenneth Bager's electronic disco and Fela-inspired 'Biological Bread' was recorded by him in Copenhagen then mixed by Tuccinelli in Ibiza and recalls an African Kwanza Posse mood. The 10 minute anthemic 'Hafi Deo' from 1985 by African Rumba singer-songwriter Tabu Ley Rochereau is a real winner showcasing his unique way of mixing Congolese folk music with Caribbean beats yet still sounding contemporary. Another special inclusion is the highly sought-after Kenneth favorite 'I Think You Are Boring' which was self-released in 1989 by 380 Volt Electric Papa - timeless drum machine overlaid with some very strange Italo-English lyrics. Finally 'Fork Power' by Grooveman Spot, a thunderous and amazing percussive powerful DJ mixing tool for peaktime heaven on any dancefloor. A special release for true collectors of the weirder and wonderful... Limited vinyl 300.

Leroy Burgess - One of the pioneers of Boogie, a legendary figure in the NYC Disco scene and all-out originator is well known by dance music aficionados across the globe for his output. His LOGG project from the early 80's especially has acquired a cult status amongst diggers, released on Salsoul in 1981 and boasting mixes from Larry Levan the LP became an instant club classic that still commands the dancefloor in 2017. Salsoul is a label that isn't afraid to bridge the gap between their hugely groundbreaking catalogue and contemporary dance music. They understand the impact and influence their music has had on DJ culture and embrace it wholly. Step up UK underground producer Marquis Hawkes who originally approached Salsoul with this set of killer reworkings that had long been private versions that featured in his sets. Having dropped EP's for labels such as Dixon Avenue Basement Jams, AUS Music, Houndstooth and many more his name is firmly planted in the minds of record fiends across the nation. Adopting a classic US style of production, using analog gear, dope loops and chops and finessing it all with his own grittiness, Hawkes seemed a good fit to remix 2 stellar joints from LOGG's catalogue. 'Something Else' and 'I Know You Will' both get cut up, re-edited and laced with rock solid drum programming by Hawkes on this sublime 12". Lovingly tweaked with just the right amount of RAWNESS for the dance this one won't leave your bag anytime soon! Pure peak-time sounds here, another example of Salsoul embracing the sounds of now and breathing freshness into their untouchable catalogue. Essential.

Cut This Way is the second outing of the year for North London producer Smashed Atoms on the Magic Circles Music label. The title track takes us back to early 80s New York, featuring a sassy old-school female rap over a mid-paced strut, and has already featured in sets from disco legend Greg Wilson and Hot Digits head-honcho Fingerman. On the flip side, Lost Someone locks down a rolling groove with interweaving synths and a nagging bassline.

The Neapolitan Berlin based duo NU GUINEA inaugurates their new in-house label NG Records with a sparkling mélange of Jazz-Funk and obscure Disco. With its own special Italian flavour, the reinterpretation of Chrisma's late 70s ode to love finds its complement in a refreshing arcane dancefloor expedition. Previously pressed as a private wedding present, "Amore" is now being officially released as a limited edition of 350 copies.

The latest installment on Roam Recordings features NOZZ aka Damon Jee aka Jérôme Da Silva. Most known as Damon Jee for his widely acclaimed remixes, Jérôme has been branching out with outstanding originals under his NOZZ alias. In his Misfits EP for Roam NOZZ delivers two excellent new productions. The title track is a cool rock infused guitar laden stunner with class and attitude while Hippy Home is a dreamer of a tune perfect for greeting the sun or losing yourself in a closed eyed dance session. The Misfits EP comes with two top remixes from The Emperor Machine and Autarkic. The first remix is a tour de force performance with a sound that is unmistakably The Emperor Machine - intricate, dubbed out, lasers, and superb production. Autarkic's version of Hippy Home adds an eclectic edge to the EP with a cacophony of orchestral and quirky sounds that somehow perfectly keep in line with the stripped down feel of this remix.The Misfits EP brings together three artists at the top of their game and is a fine addition to the ever growing Roam Recordings catalog.

Following on from Plus Instruments Love Is Enough Remixes EP comes an accompanying Dubs EP, featuring deeper reversions by Jamie Paton, Luke Solomon, Khidja and joining them with a breaks meets dubwise, Alphonse. Truus de Groots return to her Plus Instruments project after a 30 years break saw the label pick up her off-kilter House roller, Love Is Enough for one of our (e)special remixing packages. Here then, we turn out attention to everyones favourite, the Dubs. Starting with label mainframe, Jamie Paton, his Cloudy Dub-Out pulls his mix through modular prisms for heads down basement rumble. Echo chamber vocals, twisted syncopations and a bass to breakdown walls, this is Patons true calling - dub to get lost in and rightful to kick off the EP. Next guest remixer de jour, Luke Solomon stays close to his original bumpin remix, warping the vocal with skatntrippin wonk, all atop a funk bass line and riding shuffle percussion. Cha cha cha. On the flip, Khidja triumph again with a tougher version. Not a straight up dub of their remix, this pushes a nod to colder (wave) vibes, with industrial percussion riding high on their trademark production. Hard kick atop refrained synths, growing out of Eastern protoid routes to glimpse their future. Finally, mystery man Alphonse comes in from the dark to close with a killer breaks inspired dub. Sol Power Sound is proud to present their first release of 2016, a 3-song EP by recent Finnish expatriate, Tom of Brooklyn. After a massive release on Razor-n-Tape in 2015 (and slight change of moniker), the ever-mysterious Tom delivers a 3-song EP of breezy disco grooves inspired by his recent cruise of the islands.

On Theme Song from Deep Cock, Tom double-teamed with Deep Sang (of the Sol Power All-Stars). The tag-team duo came up with a tight and groovy title sequence for a film that will likely never see the light of day.

Look at Me is a moody slice of disco goodness that Tom put together for his now-legendary sunrise sets on the ship.

Make Me Wonder is a warm-weather jam that fills the B-side of the record. A seemingly endless funky groove, it was Tom's secret weapon at his all-day beach parties in port. It's danceable but it's also full of musicality and made with a lot of love. A2. Dutch duo Daniel Leseman & Hans Peeman have only been producing as Fouk since 2014 with their debut release for Outplay Records immediately catching the attention of Boiler Room. An acclaimed remix of Lay-Far for Sweden's Local Talk Records and their Kill Frenzy EP for Detroit Swindle's Heist imprint plus more remixes for the likes of Kraak & Smaak and Razor-n-Tape cemented the duo as ones to watch for the future. For this EP the tracky 90's style 'Holding On' gets reworked by Crackazat who keeps the original vibe adding Smack Productions style keys and his trademark jazzy, warm production to Sean's original. Crackazat has come to the attention of dj's including Disclosure, Detroit Swindle and Homework through his releases on Futureboogie and more recently Sweden's Local Talk where he released his latest album Crescendo.

Trained multi-genre dancer, DJ, producer, MC and pure force of energy: meet William Djoko, the latest talent from one of house music's foremost cities, Amsterdam.

Following on from the first part of Heatwave remixes, Mike Maurro digs deep into this legendary groups catalogue to bring us another duo of stellar reworkings. This time their Jazz-Funk classic 'The Groove Line' from 1977 gets the MM remix treatment and is backed with their evergreen slow-jam 'Always And forever'. 2 deeper cuts this time but the quality is just as high as Maurro really understands this music and knows what to use and how. Coming to life on a hazy cloud of natural instrumentation and meditative composition, Modern Manners tap into the appetite for delicate new age musings beautifully on this debut release. "Amor Y Odio" is laced with Spanish guitar musings that spiral out over a simple but effective drum break that harks back to classic downtempo, while "Running With Me" edges towards a more sprightly lounge headspace while retaining the rich musicality felt on the first track. "Instant Illusion" is propelled by a bassline that wouldn't sound out of place on a house track, but here its punching out in a subtle, laid back environment that aims to get you horizontal in the most sophisticated way possible.

Name in Lights have been organising parties, DJing, producing music and running their own label Feed for a long time.
Fact is - they are kind of royalty back in Stockholm.
After releasing records on Under The Shade, Free Association, Let's Play House, as well as getting remixed by Dr Dunks and Axel Boman it's now time to present two tracks on Omena.
Believe it or not but the ties between Omena and Name In Lights go way back. All Inclusive is that type or track you would either start or end the night with while Post Mortem sounds like DJ Koze and Isolee would have a baby together.
On this release there are two remixes which completely flip the originals. Underground hero Samo DJ is a force to be reckoned with. With recent releases on The Trilogy Tapes, Public Possession and an album on Snaker together with Maxxxbass he found time to work 'All Inclusive' into something completely new.

Finally label boss Tooli delivers a remix filled with as much rhodes and conga as your heart desires.

Fellow earthlings, cast your gaze skywards. If you're quick, you might see Earthboogie's intergalactic cruise ship coming in to land.

While they've been DJing around London and beyond with their custom built Quod sound system for some time, the Mr Mystery EP marks their debut appearance on Leng Records. It's the first time the fruits of their studio labours, recorded in the space they call The Control Room, have made it onto vinyl.

Izaak Gray and Nicola Robinson's musical vision is delightfully hard to pigeonhole, but is arguably best summed up by their self proclaimed dedication to all things 'intergalactic, cosmic, tribal and terrestrial'. Some may draw clear parallels with the Afro-cosmic work of Italian pioneers Daniele Baldelli and Beppe Loda, where rock guitars, disco riffs, vintage synthesizers and heavy African drum rhythms are all thrown into the musical melting pot.

On the A-side, you'll find 'Mr Mystery', a bongo-laden chunk of hypnotic, low-slung voodoo disco full of haunting flute lines, flanged funk guitars, heavy drum machine kicks, impassioned yelps, cascading chords and crunchy clavinet lines. It's an intoxicating, early morning trip that achieves a near perfect balance between thrusting danceflooor heaviness and head-in-the-clouds daydreaming.

Things get even steamier on the flip, where the intergalactic, Afro-disco hustle of 'Route Ten To Interzone' ushers aboard Earthboogie's star-bound cruiser. Built around an irrepressible groove - think restless electronic bass, hard-wired disco-funk guitars and layered tribal drums - the track surges forward on a wave of chanted vocals, spacey synth solos and irrepressible disco flourishes.

'The E.B Theme', a kind of aural call to arms, completes a fine first foray into music production. A little looser, hazier and deeper than the rest of the EP, the tracks is propelled forwards on waves of dreamy chords, lilting trumpet motifs, spacey electronics, tumbling disco guitars and a bassline that recalls the early days of Chicago deep house. It's a wonderful end to a notably impressive debut 12'.

It is time for the Nang and Rayko worlds to collide once more. The awesome Madrid-based DJ and producer is back with his second album on Nang. As ever the grooves are wide, the beats are large and the musical elements ooze funk and nu disco sheen.

Thing open up with the title track and recent single "No Stopping". The track features the fine vocals from Tania Haroshka and it is a powerhouse of synth disco, electronic groove with real bass guitar and darting guitars giving it just a tint of Miami Vice sheen. 2016 single "Crazy" is up next with it's catchy hooks and counter melodies. It comes with just the right amount of good-time groove to bring a smile to any face. Things tone down "Robot Life" which is a creeping synth fest with wandering grooves and chunky drums.

Danielle Moore features with a fine vocal on a 'pure Rayko' style classic "Cosmic Pirate". Muscular basses and darting guitars being deployed to maximum effect. "Ocarina Of Time" is next with its layered complexity and stabby synth bass notes.

Tania Haroshika returns for the final trio of tunes on the album. Her fine vocals melding effortlessly with the slick production from our hero. First up is "HOT" which builds the music slowly adding layers of multi tracked guitars and real bass before breaking forth into song. "U" sneaks in from the leftfield with its quirky strings and arpegiated synth-clavi lines. The album closes with the (slightly) melancholic and pensive groover "Space Boat". Tania adding a brooding vocal over a pulsating juno style bassline.

A fine effort from our Madrid based hero who once again shows everyone what this "top-of-his-game" DJ-producer can do with some guitars and keyboards. Bravo

Sabrina's unmistakable voice has never sounded better. Packed out with high-octane swinging samba-soul, like the title-track and 'Salve O Mar', the album also features some bottom-heavy Brazilian boogie cuts, like rejoicing album opener 'Celebrar' which harks back to some of Marcos Valle's cult '80s disco output, and 'Sol Ceu E Mar' is a Tania Maria-esque future classic of scorching latin-funk. Mellower moments are found in 'Em Paz', on which Sabrina's beguiling harmonies find an anchor in the rhythmic acoustic guitar of Ze Carlos', who Sabrina heralds as being the best guitarist I have ever worked with'. Azymuth's keyboardist Kiko Continentino's deft Rhodes, piano, organ and synth playing, add ever more textures of distinctly Brazilian brilliance throughout, while tropical brass and flute arrangements on cool bossa-jazz movers 'Vai Maria' and 'Sandore', come from Brazilian saxophone legend Leo Gandleman, a man who has worked with everyone from Gal Costa to Gilberto Gil. The rhythm section combines Daniel Maunick's seamless drum programming and the organic polyrhythms of Brazilian percussion legend Jakare, all punctuated by Alex Malheiros' inimitable (occasionally slapped) jazz-funk bass, giving the album its irresistibly danceable pulse.

Set for release at the height of summer this year, Clareia is an intergenerational masterclass of Brazil's soulful spectrum, led by a pioneering voice of today's scene on the very top of her game. The A-side's Nassau mix by François K is a sensual and airy journey, while the B-side's London mix offers a more realistic approach that will please the more classic-listening disco enthusiasts. Patrick Topping returns to Hot Creations with his 'Taking Libz EP' and demonstrates why his reputation carries such weight with three special tracks that act as a master-class in how to create music that will consume dance floors.
First up is 'Brayed' which takes the listener on a loopy and enriching journey, whilst 'Howk' is a classic foot-to-the-floor number. Concluding the EP is 'Taking Libz', the title track that sees Topping firmly hold onto his crown with this unstoppable cut.
i-D Magazine described Patrick's style "that is characterized by punchy, chugging baselines that have become weapons in the sets of many a DJ." Started his career DJing at the club night Motion in Newcastle, he was quickly snapped up by Jamie Jones, for Hot Creations. Releases on the label and a residency at Paradise DC10 in Ibiza soon followed and 2014 saw him release 'Get Beasty', 'Forget' and 'Voicemail' featuring Green Velvet and concluded with a hattrick of awards including winning the DJ Mag Best Newcomer, Track Of The Season and Best Tune awards in their Best of British Awards.

Globe trotting crate digger Daniel T, exploded on to the scene with a string of releases after his amazing debut Tetrachromat on Young Adults a couple of years back. Daniel has been growing some serious gems in his laboratory. Two gems that have come to maturity and have been plucked for the Fahrenheit/Celsius EP on Cosmic Pint Glass records.Daniel has crafted something special in these two cuts. Beautiful, bouncy and positive tracks that work as well on the dance floor as in the soundtrack to a road trip.
After hearing them, CPG called in their top men Lauer and Jack Pattern for remix duties.

In house music circles, the name Jazz-N-Groove is spoken in reverential tones. The Florida duo Brian Tappert & Marc Pomeroy caught Frankie Knuckles' ear with their first co-production, and went on to release on classic labels including Suburban, Strictly Rhythm and AM:PM, as well as founding the seminal Soulfuric imprint. Best known as Jazz-N-Groove, they released under a variety of aliases, including Defected Records' first ever single, the UK Top 10 'Can't Get Enough' under their Soulsearcher guise. Now the relationship comes full circle, as they join the ranks of Defected's 'House Masters'.
