Labelhead Júlio Cruz gets you five lovely edits on vinyl to reinfuse the dancefloor with sounds of that magical era. Expect some bangin drums paired with beautiful samples - made 2 make U move.

My name is King So So.

I am, because you are.

I created the Disco in the Sky solely for you, and it is now, finally ready for your glorious arrival. Here, I will welcome you, to dance in the light with me, where you will have fellowship with me, and with one another, and gone will be the days of darkness. Listen, I now stand at your door, Hippie Dance. I am knocking. If you have an ear, hear my voice and let me in. Grant me the pleasure and honour to sit with all of you, and I will allow you to sit with me on my throne in the Sky. Hear what the Spirit of So So says to you: Come dance in the Disco in the Sky, and swim in the Lake of Sweet Dreams with me and there I will manifest myself to you. If you love me, I will give you my Word that I will teach you all things sound and bring you memories of the light for you to return to the Sky. Peace I leave with you. Summon your friends, Hippie Dance. Tell them that I am waiting for all of you. I am ready for you. Tell them to arise! Tell them to go forth to the Disco in the Sky where we will be together until the Kingdom goes.

Yours, like I am, sincerely, King So So“

Unspecial presents a record about despair, resistance and hope during the Fourth Industrial Revolution. After releases on Resopal Schallware the former label manger of Neuton Distribution once again releases a diversified and deep selction of electronic music. As Julia in Orwell's masterpiece "1984" would put it: "He can sound like anything - anything - you just have to believe it."

Five unique & highly talented artists representing all corners of the globe from Argentina, Chile, Netherlands, Poland & USA come together across this special four track record celebrating five wonderful years of EWax.

This new Visitors EP from Alexander Slush opens with a deep synth-laden groove of the title track containing an obsessive main theme that emerges towards the middle of the track and makes it its home like a visitor who has come with serious intentions. Good or bad? It is up to you to decide.

The second track Drunx is a mind trip into a blissfully drunken state with a thrust that makes the body want to move closer to where the beats are coming from and playing at their loudest.
Side B opens with a remix from Theirlaw who made the Visitors sound heavier and more straightforward. Now we get the message loud and clear, the Visitors declare that they have come in peace and with good will! God save us all!

The final track Churning is like a production line going mad. Its relentlessness grabs you and drags you along till you are trapped within it unable to fight the groove.
The space-themed/monster-vinyl-destroyer cover sleeve artwork of the EP and the label logo design were elaborately created by Keerah.

Bas Mooy returns to the Planet Rhythm imprint with a strong EP for the PRRUKBLK series. Ranging from the offbeat influenced 'Mannik' and the doomy loops of 'Stitches' to the uplifting peak-time dancefloor killers 'Toorn' and 'Fields', Bas Mooy delivers four solid techno tracks exploring the dark depths of techno

Ragoo Records is proud to welcome the outstanding DJ, producer and record collector Biga for RGT07, the seventh installment of the cassette series curated by the label.

"Meltin' Brain Loops" is a dope collection of beats composed in the scorching late May and early June of 2022. These 23 tracks are the result of a couple of weeks of studio time that Biga dedicated specifically to the rhythms.

As the producer directly explains, "using exclusively an MPC, I developed the tracks starting right from the drums. I wanted the drums and bass to have a certain kind of groove, only inserting the samples later, just for the joy of studying and for the fun of twisting my workflow out of the comfort zone."

While Biga's beats are hosted on side A, side B includes 10 creamy remixes packaged by JayBee Vibes, Astratto, Odeeno, J. Raise, Jr, HZHA, Looppolo, MstkVibes & Loodo, F.o.x, Pentola, Masneo.

For WSNWG’s upcoming chapter, label head Rødhåd joins forces with DJ, producer and Sound Engineer Fadi Mohem.

This mesmerizing four-track EP was recorded in the magical afterglow of a jam session at Speedy J’s STOOR LAB back in April. The energy from the session is directly translated into the recording, a collection of powerful techno cuts amplified by cinematic sound design.

Recorded in 1980, only 500 copies of this 7" were pressed, making the original extremely rare and always sold above $$$- finally, the reissue.

For the second chapter in Vala series two Swedish natives have been invited to give their brumal take on the label’s output. On the A-side Härdstedt leaves no much to question with a subtly psychedelic roller “Esrange” whereas Arkajo provides a groovy remix of that particular track with a spice of familiar drum programming trickery. Both staying legitimately true to their own recognizable sound. On the B-side Kaspiann continues from where Vala 1 was left to and provides two wintry sea inspired tracks to leave room for the next chapter in series of unfolding surprises.

Following much love & acclaimed vol 1 & 2, La Belle Records introduces the third One Night Stands chapter. One shiny and pop record which will hopefully melt your heart, with its combination of analogue goodness, space dubs, synthetic pop, opulent dancefloor rhythms, tribal grooves, and experimentations that creates a magical vibe & atmosphere.

Among them, a whole batch of french artists : Vega Voga (Narumi from Tristesse Contemporaine), Sébastopol, Bot’Ox (with Anna Jean’s wonderful voice), Alan Braxe (delivering his best modular game, bringing in astonishing Yvonne la Nuit’s voice), Tim Paris (kicking some trip hop opera beats) or Jaquomo (cooking some exotic rhythms). Plus as always fresh and established projects like Azaria (hypnotic and voodoo spanish friend, more to come on La Belle), In Fields (collaborating once again with Golden Bug and Phoebe Coco), Hot Spell (eternal La Belle homie always present to make you dance) and finally the swedish Rickard Jäverling (acing the end with a gentle but shiny melody).

Pierre Dutour's infamous Top Fiction is the epitome of a 5-tracker. Coming to light in 1979 on Tele Music, its collection of environmental themes are *all astounding*. We're talking all-time heavy hitters, here. They come recommended as tracks you'd choose to elegantly elevate deep selector sets or mixes.

Skip the irritating whistle-laced marching-band funk of "Captain Parade" and head straight to the glistening synths and proud horns of beatless ambient wonder "Mountain Echoes". Arguably worth the price of admission alone. It's that good. The sci-fi atmospherics of "Space Fiction" are definitely sampleable whilst the proud horns of "Mountain Trumpet" definitely contain blasts that could be of creative use. "Tambours Parade" is more marching-band funk, only this time the drums go hard and there's a lot to like about this one.

Truly, it's all about the B-Side. A real B-Side for the ages, in fairness. It opens with the gorgeous "Deer Forest". It's one of the most beautiful songs you'll ever hear. Like something off Brian Bennett's Voyage, it rides dreamily melodic synths, and comes on, as one fan claimed "like something Angelo Badalamenti would have co-written with Final Fantasy composer, ???? Nobuo Uematsu". It's jaw-dropping. Be instantly beguiled by the deep eerie nostalgia and pretty delicate piano of "Magic Lake I" and the whistling-synth-augmented "Magic Lake II". The almost-title-track "Pop Fiction" is another hidden gem, containing dreamy, glistening arpeggios that are just begging to be sampled with a heavy knocking beat behind it. The set closes with "Damnation Space", 2 minutes of spooky Musique concrète.

So, 5 absolutely incredible tracks and 2-3 good ones. An excellent ratio for a library album, I think we can all agree. Trust us when we say that the heavy hitters are just absolute gold, rendering this one an essential, buy-on-sight purchase. Go listen and discover for yourselves...

The audio for Top Fiction has been remastered by Be With regular Simon Francis, ensuring this divisive release sounds better than ever. Cicely Balston's expert skills have made sure nothing is lost in the cut whilst the original space-age sleeve has been restored here at Be With HQ as the finishing touch to this long overdue re-issue.

We are delighted to announce that July 2023 is the month in which you will finally be able to know the new Apparel Wax product: Apparel Wax Mini. The Mini catalogue (dedicated to 7-inch vinyl) fits into the narrative of our masked hero as a sort of prequel, as the 'Mini' vinyl represents the 'childhood' of Apparel Wax, his life before its music started to be heard around the world. Another novelty is that the first release is double. In fact, APLWAXMINI001 and 002 will drop on the same day, both containing two tracks, one on each side. With a physical product of different size, we have also adapted the graphic design of the project, as you'll notice looking at the record. A new adventure begins in the world of the masked artist who, this time, will tell another musical story created by the now famous anonymous collective of phenomenal artists behind the project. APLWAXMINI001 is composed of two tracks perfect for the summer period, both with a very marked essence of lightness and groovy, both ideal to bring back the carefree and cheerful musical soul at the base of the project since its origins.

London based House label Inermu brings the thirteenth in their Vinyl Only series in the form of this 4 track EP from Arkady Antysrev. Including a remix from Label boss James Dexter

Alicia Keys' original is a much loved beauty, and this remix by Jan Kincl, a Zagreb-based producer known for his jazz-informed house project with Regis Kattie, was made just hours before a Berlin DJ gig.

Two months later, Jan and Delfonic, a Berlin staple coming from a more organic and soulful side of the city, were in Montenegro on a shuttle from the airport to Southern Soul festival. Eddy Ramich, mutual friend who's been playing Jan's demo was on the same bus and played it to Delfonic. Before making it through one full listen, Delfonic said this should be released and suggested to make his own remix.

What they ended up with is a 12" with three versions, three attempts to flip the original's beatless soul and bend it into shapes of deep house and Miami bass.

What better way to start the new year than with New Dawn, the Figure premiere of Japanese techno exporter and groove connaisseur Wata Igarashi.
His psychedelic grooves are currently some of the most sought after material out there, shimmering with life, richly laden with crystalline arps and swirling synth lines.
On his first outing for Figure hi finely detailed compositions merge into a sound that is equally dense as it becomes wildly mesmerizing. Loops stacked on top of each other for maximum effect, building a sense of depth and connection, and developing their captivatingness over each track’s full runtime.
Igarashi uses strict linear progression and a set of vibrant ideas in order to create four hypnotic pieces that range from rumbling low-end bass to propulsive and driving acid to rattling percussion and finally round out the package with some trippy off-kilter rhythms.

Most heads are now aware that DJ Absolutely Shit is in fact; Red Laser duo Il Bosco & Metrodome, but for the purposes of penning more funnier write-ups, we’re gonna continue to pretend that he’s Bosco’s crackhead cousin from Irlam init.

Have you heard the latest?
Apparently he’s managed to pay off most that 9-bar debt that he owed them ‘Ells Angels with all that Red Laser paypal dosh he got from the Pomona Island EP but he’s only gone and gotten himself into a load more bother by ticking 2 oz of truck offa the Albs then losing it all playin’ crack darts with a load of nutters in some high rise in Ashton.

Fortunately for Ab Shit – Pharaoh Brunson got wind of his latest predicament, organszed a sit down with Big Gjergj and crew down the snooker club and managed to broker a repayment plan. If anyone was wondering why Red Laser club night ticket prices have gone up by 2 quid – there’s ya reason.

Anyway, having smoothed things over with the Albanian mafia (and smashing ’em all at pool), Brunson demanded that Ab Shit immediately compensate Red Laser Corp by diggin’ out some more crusty tapes from the 90’s to make even more mega bangers out of. His latest effort, the ‘Screaming Kids and a Messy House’ EP (titled in homage to the scenes at cousin Bosco’s gaff on the regular) is another sortee of absolute break ‘ardcore genius guaranteed to turn even the most boring, tee-total, folk loving, plane spotting, church going Geography teacher into the most buzzingest loved-up mega raving G on the dancefloor…

Super heavy duty breaks here folks – already garnering support from some proper heavy heads.

*As part of the Albanian treaty, Brunson also demanded that he changes his name to DJ Absolutely ‘Sick’ so we don’t have to keep changing artwork to say S**t instead of Shit for all these snide instagram boosts Bosco keeps doing but he told us to fuck off.

It shouldn't come as a surprise that Applescal is the next in line for a release on DGTL Records, seeing as he has been part of the crew since day one, with multiple appearances at their shows to his name. The Atomnation label-head crafts out three tracks all coming from one single studio jam, aptly naming them Harmony One, Harmony Two and Harmony Three. The record is a special one for Applescal himself as well, as it's his first full EP in two years.

The EP starts off with Harmony One, a dubby and bass heavy track with a subtle vocal sample. It steadily builds up towards a more energetic part with synth stabs and heavy snares, while the pads in the background still make it keep its atmospheric feel. As all three tracks come from the same studio jam, it's obvious that this was the start of the jam, serving as the basis for the other two tracks. The second one, Harmony Two, was previously part of an Atomnation sampler and received a lot of great feedback, as well as airplay from a few big names in the industry. It builts around an arpeggio that playfully progresses and intensifies towards the break, where a raw synth is layered on top for the climax. With a more subtle bassline, but multiple rhythmic elements that add a proper swing, it makes an essential peak-time tune.

The flipside brings Harmony Three, which distinctly sounds as the final part of the studio jam. Hard hitting synth stabs and a rolling bassline set the track apart as the heavier hitter of the three, while still clearly building on the overall theme. It features an arpeggio that progresses along the break and into the main part, with sharp drum samples and tense synths. It wraps up this release perfectly.

Mixtus Orbis is a split album between Rennes' wizard Le Matin and the Danish astrocosmonauts Parallel Planet (Grammar of Movement & Ecxo).

2023 Repress

For Danish native and much-revered producer/performer Rune Reilly KÖLSCH, Kompakt has proven the perfect home curating his music: with two critically acclaimed albums and a now classic run of solo instalments in our Speicher 12' series, he took his techno craftsmanship to new levels, setting it on a melodic, emotive and even autobiographical course - without loosing any of its punch and quirkiness. With new full-length 1989, Kölsch presents the final chapter of an elegant, anthemic album trilogy that started with an exploration of early childhood memories and influences on '1977' (KOM 276 CD 107) - the year of his birth - and continued on '1983' KOM 329 CD 122), a vibrant and picturesque journey sound tracking the year he travelled through Europe aged six.

'With 1989, we have arrived in my early teens', Kölsch explains, 'a difficult time in my life, where I mostly just remember the greyness of it all - grey feelings, grey weather and my own grey face.' Coinciding with the already challenging need to squeeze past the bottleneck of puberty, it was a time of seething family crisis - his parents were divorcing: 'I would escape that grey world on my skateboard, listen to my Walkman as I explored the city around me. Music became my savior - the only way to overcome my family's hard times. I found a soundtrack to my grey life, and suddenly there was color.' It's why you'll find several tracks on the album being named 'grey' in different languages, and they all share this distinctly 'Kölsch-esque' moment of epic melodies breaking through propulsive techno beats like the sun through stormy clouds - a musical twist that's particularly impressive on album hit single PUSH, first heard on 'Speicher 97' (KOM EX 97).
