The 50th instalment in the Phoenix G series is a special one. A 4 track counting coloured vinyl affair of course from the hand of the label's head honcho and sole artist ''Mr.G'' Proper machine funk drenched with synths and the significant samples make this 12'' a journey through Mr G's different sounds and mindstates.

It's been 4 years since the last music compilation on MindTrip. Mutable Minds brings together a mixture of five exceptional and talented artists whose sound matches perfectly with the MindTrip philosophy. Head honcho, Pfirter, and Swedish Pär Grindvik contribute the first track of the release with their diversified collaboration embodied in a hypnotic and extraordinary tune whilst Diego Amura takes the lead with a track that is characterized by driving rhythm and haunting sequences. Savas Pascalidis debuts on the label with a trippy-sci-fi interpretation and the release closes with one of the latest guests on MindTrip Podcast, Fanon Flowers, who takes us into a dark, mental and conceptual techno journey. The final outcome is mesmerizing and all four tracks can be seen on different aspects of an all night long set. This is MindTrip!

Now that's a massive piece of vinyl! The news about an upcoming remix package for tech-house-maestro Phil Kieran should be enough to raise techno lovers attention. However this time the buzz is even bigger as we managed it to get Luke Slater's cult project PLANETARY AUSSAULT SYSTEMS aboard! Yes, you heard right, the project that helped shaping the image of former techno überlabel PEACEFROG is on remix duty here and the PLANETARY AUSSALT SYSTEM does what we expected... and even more! The Wasps Under A Toy Boat' remix is a mental technomonster with only one message in his head: Let's go crazy on the floor!". Cocoon head Sven Väth had the pleasure to test the remix a couple of times and smashed the floors to pieces everytime he dropped that gem - one of 2015's biggest techno highlights so far! The flipside features a Tom Demac remix for Missp' which breathes cool 80s air with its bassline and almost industrial beat programming. We hear early Detroit club hymns here or the sound of Berlin in the 90s as Demac merges rough beats and stop and go effects with the new-wave-feeling of bands like the Liaison Dangereuse or Propaganda. The result is funky and musical but at the same time electronic and entertaining with enough power get us on the dancefloor. The vinyl-edition as well as the 4-track-digital edition of this release appears timeless and incorporates contemporary elements as well as cool 80s and 90s vibes. This is a package that will make the hearts of those in the know race faster. Two outstanding remixes taking the originals (released on COR12045 & COR12049) to the next level!

Philippe Quenum returns to Cadenza Music with 'Solitaire', some thirteen years after helping kick start the Swiss label with the 2003 release 'Orange Mistake'/'Funky Dandy'. This groundbreaking single, co-produced with Luciano, has since become a landmark release, not just for the label, but also as the benchmark for the micro-house and minimal tech-house genre that developed over the decade. With a music career than spans back to the mid-80s (dancing in NYC as part of the breakdance troupe, The Magnificent Force), Quenum found his forte with house music, both as a DJ, and as a producer and label owner. Setting up the Access 58 label in 1998 as a platform for his music and collaborations, Quenum has consistently released over the years for labels like Crosstown Rebels, Soma, alphahouse, Thema and Trapez LTD. 'Solitaire' finds Quenum on fine form; on the lead track, dubby FX and bass shaking shots roll out over an urgent disco beat, muted brass and technoid stabs fire from all directions as the tension building pads flourish. Shadowy forces are at play on 'Mystic'; discordant sounds echo and bellow over reverberating percussion and a dense back beat that fire into life with shuffling hi-hats. Wrapping up this welcome return to the label is 'Mystery'; whipping snares and industrial clangs rumble over the urgent drums for more hypnotizing dancefloor work from Philippe!

Shlomi Aber is back on his Be As One label with 'Panix EP", this time joined by Swedish Techno master Skudge. Keeping the no nonsense techno attitude of his latest Nonplus release, 'Panix' keeps bearing Shlomi's relentless, dark and raw signature sound. Skudge strips down 'Panix' into 2 separate remixes, taking the original into a deeper and back to basics mood, with his known trademark grooves.

The Outside Agency & Deathmachine - Today s Tomorrow / The Violence The Outside Agency have teamed up with permanent label fixture Deathmachine once again for yet another solid exercise in kick and snare torture. Today's Tomorrow and The Violence both serve as deeply philosophical explorations of human nature, with kickdrums and snares.

From the wilds of New Zealand our favorite kiwi drum and bass duo returns with a sinister vengeance. With a hot list of tunes as part of their De-Evolution series, the boys are finally ready to unleash their arsenal of productions to the public eye. Yan Cook has positioned himself as one of the key figures in modern day techno and without hesitation one of the faces of the Planet Rhythm imprint. Dynamic DJ and producer Ko¨lsch is set to release HAL, his brand-new collaborative effort with Canadian techno heavyweight Tiga, on new label IPSO. Well known for his genre-defining cuts, Danish producer Ko¨lsch has sold millions of records all over the world under his many different monikers, including seminal LP '1977' and his widely acclaimed albums '1983' & '1983' & '1989', with the latter including Ko¨lsch's biggest track 'Grey'. A purveyor of deep and minimalist techno, Tiga released his 3-track 'Stay Cool' EP earlier this year, with the game changing producer receiving a wealth of support from BBC Radio 1 tastemaker Pete Tong on his last album, the 11-track 'No Fantasy Required' on Counter Records. Made up of thunderous A-side 'HAL' and a double B-side - containing the cosmic chord patterns of 'First Blood' and the sinister build of grumbling 'Still So High' - Ko¨lsch and Tiga will also perform together B2B at OFFSonar this summer, with Ko¨lsch also scheduled to play a primetime headline set at Belgian mega-festival, Tomorrowland. 'About a year ago I launched my label IPSO', said Ko¨lsch. 'This summer IPSO 002 is coming up, and it's a collab with none other than Tiga. We spent a couple of great days in my Copenhagen studio, and came up with 3 tracks I'm really proud of. Since the first release, I also started my IPSO night in the legendary Gewo¨lbe Club in Cologne. I've had amazing nights there over the last 2 years and now it's time to expand.' Having started his IPSO residency in Cologne, playing a mammoth 9 hour sets, Ko¨lsch has since expanded the brand to Miami and Watergate Berlin, with further destinations in the pipeline. Labelled as 'The King of house' by Annie Mac, who added that Ko¨lsch, the IPSO boss has garnered a reputation as one of dance music's most talented producers, playing several Ibiza dates over the summer, including ANTS, Hi¨ Ibiza's 'In The Dark' and Circoloco.

After several solo releases and co-productions for liebe*detail over the last 10 years, Matthias Meyer and Patlac will finally share a split 12" side by side.

With the upcoming LIEBE045 to be out on vinyl October 27th Patrick and Matthias will show us again their vision
of emotional house music which works at home as well as on the dancefloors all over the world.

We’re absolutely stoked that Zero B’s ‘Lock Up’ is the next instalment in Shadow Child’s ‘Curated by’ series on Food Music ..with a remaster exclusively cut to vinyl and a huge remix package in tow from the likes of Red Rack’em, Kiwi, 2 Bad Mice and more. This one is truly alive everywhere still and all these years later, these new mixes are set to take it as far as Lock Up has ever been before.

Red Rack’em takes his huge, unique wonky approach to a new high with atmospheric synths & breakbeats wrapping around that incredible Bassline. Movin Shadow dons 2 Bad Mice join the party taking us on a massive breakbeat excursion which compliments the original.. new Amen breaks, samples and Bassline’s here! Jerome Hill gets even more ravey with 4 to the floor breaks and new stabs perfectly woven with Lock Up’s familiar vibe. Lady Blacktronika takes us to the Berghain at 5am with a sublime dark techno stormer, whilst Kiwi’s rework is passionately put together paying full respect to the original arrangement. With Monkey Safari’s “Shelter” still on heavy rotation at clubs and radio stations alike, the boys deliver their new release
“Sturm”.

Monkey Safari were never an act that could be labelled with a certain genre–the German duo never dared to go new ways
with their sound. Over the past two years, they were headed deep into the darker realms of electronic music, culminating
in the release of their album “Odyssey” last year.

With the aforementioned “Shelter” and the new “Sturm” release, Monkey Safari are slowly bringing back the playful
melodies and vocals that made the vibe of their hit-releases “Cranes” and “Walls” a few years back.

This back to the roots attitude comes at a time where it could be seen as an alternative to the “harder-better-faster”
mentality in the electronic music scene. It may be a harbinger of what to expect from the duo in the near future.

Dark Entries Editions reissue series continues with a double A-side of the first two Helen maxi singles, 'Witch' and 'Zanzibar', as a 4-song EP. Helen was an Italo disco studio project that consisted of various producers, songwriters, and vocalists from Italy in the 1980s. The first line-up included popular Italo producers Piero Cairo and Massimo Noe, known for their work with Joe Yellow, Den Harrow, Pink Project, and Dharma to name a few. They were joined by prolific Italo session vocalist Elena Ferretti. 'Witch' was originally released in 1983 on Out Records, a label distributed by Discomagic Records. Signature Linndrum and Simmons drums create the driving rhythm track while Elena's powerful vocals tell the haunted tale of a witch and her magic. In 1985 the second incarnation of Helen recorded the song 'Zanzibar'. The vocal version was written by Ennio Ronchelli (Keyboards) and Roberto Barocelli (Guitar, Bass), with singer Daniela Paratici. This line-up was heavily influenced by the 'Afro' movement made popular by DJ Beppe Loda. 'Afro' refers to the Cosmic musical trend of slower disco records featuring African drums and rhythms. The 'Afro Mix' of 'Zanzibar' was produced by DJ Daniele Losi and Roberto Lodola, with additional live hand drums and sticks by Nigerian percussionist George Aghedo. All songs have been remastered for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. The vinyl is housed in the original jacket from the ''Witch'' maxi single, featuring artwork by Elena Feretti. Stockholm-based Mikael Jonasson is a long serving DJ and producer who continues to push the boundaries of modern club music with his amazingly crafted, rather rare techno productions. With recent releases on labels like Drumcode, Figure and EXILE, Mikael has earned the support and attention from the key players all around the globe. With a busy schedule of gigs all around the world, including several stops at legendary Berghain in Berlin to the world ´s biggest club Priviliege in Ibiza, Mikael have had the pleasure of sharing the stage with talented colleagues such as Adam Beyer, Len Faki and Sam Paganini. Right now Mikael release his first ep on Wall Music. he is build his own intricate sound, characterised by an unique sound design and his attention to details. In the last few years, Suolo haven’t stopped contributing to the volatile and vibrant scene of electronic music of Romania and over the borders of it, shaping his productions into something that is now distinctive to a trained ear. What’s good about him? His love for compressed bass-lines? His ability to intrigue? We think both of them + even more. The release in case is nothing than a proof of that.



From what we know, both Tarantism and Mirror Dance do not belong to 2019 or 2018 either. We’ve got our hands on some earlier creations of his which with no surprise are actual until today and are definitely representatives of his. A side outsets with an opaque bass, giving a long enough moment of adjustation for the listener therefore avoiding any discomfort as to the development of the piece in the future. Not too long after the the low tones set in, a strand of claps come out, clearly indicating the direction of the piece. Everything cited above is reverberating in a melodic crawl way of atmospheric provenience. We found ourselves in a safe-house somewhere far away from the day-to-day game.



Mirror Dance is a composition of certainty and very self driven dynamic, layers blending one with another, creating new beginnings within the same partition. He crafts the elements into an uptempo string like rhythm, bouncing from one of the side of the room to another with absolute easiness. His usual accentuated drum line is present but it’s not the front of this piece as Suolo is actually leading the morphosis of the chantic side. Ingredients that seemed to be pointy and acute at the beginning are getting to be a part of warmly saturated and harmonious open space wander around.

Best Works Records Label-owner André Lodemann is back with a new long-awaited EP on his imprint. It is the 20th release on the label. For this 'Birth' EP André personally enlisted non-other than swiss duo Adriatique for their remix skills aswell as new-comer producer Fabian Dikof.

André's track 'Birth' creates contrasts using african-drumming inspired styles paired with techy-beat pro-gramming. Starting more on a minimal tip the track works its self up to high-tension climaxing with an emotional break keeping the deeper moments intact.

Adriatique created a faster more club-orientated ver-sion paring the more hooky parts of the original with beat-sythn elements giving the track a more tribal feel.
The second remix featured here come's via Fabian Dikof the second main artist on Best Works Records. It's great to have him remix André Lodemann at last presenting his masterful skills. Fabian took a different path in his remix working more on the melodic hook but also creating a warm bass-laden soundscape that loves the dance-floor in its own right.

Paolo Rocco touches down on the PIV Limited series and follows up two succesfull previous releases that were both sold out quickly.

Paolo once again shows his diversity and delivers us two very strong tracks on the A-side with "On Me" as stand-out track.
Also on this killer package you will find a rare minimalistic remix from Makcim & Levi and to complete the B-side we've got Toman showing why he is a man to watch.

In 1999, a friend of the young musician Neba Solo informed him that his
country, Mali, would host the world-famous football event Africa Cup of
Nations in 2002. The balafon virtuoso immediately decided to seize the
opportunity and create a national anthem for the competition. More power to
him: what happened after is nothing short of legendary.
Twenty years later, Can 2002 is still a hit, often heard in African nightclubs,
radios, and professional football team training sessions. Neba has to play the
song every time he’s on stage, and people stop him in the street to talk about
it all over the world.
Secousse proudly presents the remastered classic, pressed for the first time
on vinyl, right in time for the Africa Cup of Nations 2019.

This time Mr Raoul K is teaming up with fellow producer Mapiko Mweya. They shift Mr Raoul K's usually blend of real westafrican instruments and modern electronic clubsounds towards the electronic soundscape. With the vocals of B'Utiza, they take us on a rollercoaster ride into an urban concrete jungle very reminiscent of the nineteennineties. Voluminous baselines, westafrican drums, irie layers of swirling sounds, long buildups, occasional breakdowns – delivered with a gritty touch.
Mr Raoul K's mix keeps the atmosphere dense while Mapiko goes for a more airy approach - with either mix keeping its rolling groove up until the end. Dance through the darkness until the sunlight creeps through the cellar windows.

We are back with our label's latest release, from none other than the label's boss Oscar Mulero and his piece 'Electric Storm'. This track was featured in digital format in the Unknown Landscapes compilation, and now we bring it to you on vinyl, together with two outstanding remixes by Sigha and Tommy Four Seven, and an additional track: 'Cave'.

'Electric Storm' is in its original version an exercise in tension made with continuous flanged sequences, subtle kicks and sharp high hats that evolve and change for all six minutes. A building tool perfect for long mixes and club workout.


Sigha makes his own personal twist on 'Electric Storm' altering the main sequence, changing the drum patterns and redefining the overall feeling in his very own style. The result is dense and hypnotic.

'Cave' is the second original track. Subterranean kicks, reverberated FM percussions, high tempos and a constantly changing arrangement. This is another club tool designed for mixing wizards.

To close the release, Tommy Four Seven destroys
'Cave' in his own personal style: taking some pieces from the original beat, completely deconstructing the drums, breaking the rhythms, giving an industrialized flavour to everything: metalizing, distorting and completely taking the elements to the extreme.

Stellar new EP on the way from Dutch producer Qindek. The rising star has been on the up as of late having released on labels on such Wolfskin Records and Invite's Choice Records. This time he's releasing on vinyl only label Dreiklang who have had some scintillating cuts from Edit-Select (who appears as one of the remixers on this EP) and Claudio PRC.
Qindek has really been honing his skills and is known as much for his flowing DJ sets as he is for his masterful live sets. This level of technique is truly standing to the artist as we can see from his comfortability with hardware shine through on this project.
'Come Closer' will be the fifth release from the label: it features the original mix Come Closer and three remixes from VOLTMAR, Edit-Select, and KUF, which show the different facades of the track. The original cut is a primal, tribal number merged with club elements. It enters with a bongo-like drum that is followed by a hi-hat for some pace. A surreptitious synth floats in and levitates back and forth, which is coupled with fluctuating keys and toms. It's a mesmerizing number with an understated tempo, bringing the forest to the club.
Cologne based artist VOLTMAR takes the first remix. Known as a DJ for many years now, he has performed in clubs across Europe. He tends to enjoy a deeper sound and this is prevalent in his take on the cut. The percussions are deeper and more hollowed, which creates a different kind of sway. It feels more tribal, with more jungle elements to it. It has less synth and more of a heavy bassline, designed to connect people on a primal level.
Next to feature is none other than Edit-Select. The British native is well established in the club scene and does not disappoint with this remix. A more complex sound, he takes the track and elongates it. It's a consistent sound with underground elements and a slight bit of tempo. It has this divine gothic synth that oscillates with a certain lilt to it. The beat is enchanting as the cut slowly diminishes.
The last stand is by Swedish artist Kuf. Known for his energetic sound, this cut does not disappoint. It's a high-velocity all-out assault club banger. It has rolling beats, speedy hi-hats and a tempo that is driven forward by hand claps. It has a skeleton aspect to it, whereas instead of using builds, they add and subtract elements inject an ever-changing pace.

Woo York takes us on a trip to the Kazakh city of Baikonur. A landscapish and interesting journey which is well orchestrated and never dull. The opening track Sawcure is an intense voyage through sound, excisting out of syncopated synths and a smoothly progressing bassline. The sophomore bit is a little more ominous, deep and terse. The remainders of this cinematic plot are just as diverse and well brought. The sublime edits throughout the record make it even more interesting. Top Notch stuff from Woo York

Irish mastermind David Kitt aka New Jackson returns to Permanent Vacation with his forth record for the label. This time out he takes his beloved MPC and XOX machines back to Japan, their birthplace, for five imagined train journeys. The results are some of the most stunning and multilayered music he has produced to date with that constant locomotion pushing us on down the tracks and providing the perfect soundtrack to the sights and romance of the land of the rising sun.

'You become responsible, forever, for what you've tamed", Antoine de Saint-Exupéry writes in his modern fairy tale 'The Little Prince', in which his protagonist travels through various worlds in search of friendship and benevolence. The quote is, no doubt, fitting for Niko Schwind, since the Berlin-based DJ and producer consistently demonstrates a deeply anchored love for and close bond to house music, the art form he himself has tamed. As a DJ, he travels the globe, having played in Europe, Australia, Thailand, Brazil, the US and Mexico, and in his sets he creates a feeling of connectedness between himself and others, as well as within the crowd. On Stil vor Talent, Niko Schwind now presents the fruit of his labour in the from of his third album: 'Grippin' World' captivates the listeners with its versatility and coherence, and kidnaps them to a world of sound, made up of elegantly reduced grooves, organic arrangements and accessible vocal-melodies. With 'Perfect Fit', the first single of the album, we are handed an absolute highlight, as Heartbeat's warm voice and a simple guitar-loop form a flawless musical symbiosis, accentuated by a synthetically creaking bass-line. Niko thus proofs he's more than capable of practicing restrained Minimalism with a pop-impact. 'Perfect Fit' then gets the floor treatment: while Niko turns in a reduced, tool-oriented club cut, the hitherto unknown Proud bursts onto the scene with a dreamy arrangement centred around atmospheric synths on his remix.
