La Fleur is a DJ in the ascendant. Now a resident DJ at Watergate in Berlin (and with a brand new EP for their label ready to drop - more on that in minute!) she has balanced her craft and her electronic music production with precision and flair: all of this is the result of hard work and a constant stream of quality gigs across the world. For the uninitiated, La Fleur took her first forays into the studio in 2008, with her remix of David Ekenbäck's 'Nairu' on Trunkfunk Records but it was her solo debut, the Flowerhead EP, for her own Power Plant label, which really rocketed her into charts and record boxes worldwide. Then in early 2011 came 'Flowerhead Revisited', the remix project hand-picked to launch the in-house imprint of Whatpeopleplay. La Fleur remixes then followed for Adana Twins, Magit Cacoon and more. And now, after La Fleur's recruitment to Watergate's booking-agency, we proudly present La Fleur's first record on our in-house label. 'Nightflow' is the eponymous track of her EP - a potential classic, which is seriously deep, but also funky and not a little surreal. No less a figure than Detroit legend Kenny Larkin delivered the remix to it. His 15-minute 'drama mix' unfolds a stunning atmosphere, which is spiked with exotic sound sources and his own distinctive sonic palette. 'Tide' is a first-class DJ-Tool. '

Inspired by the resounding contrast, the one that maintains the balance in between two concepts. It doesn't matter how distant they are.

Leiras delivers a new excursion on this new 12", exploring the wasteland and the hostile terrains, but somehow luminous, sometimes even pleasing. Under this apparent antithesis, the first part of "Turquoise Tundra" starts in a tipping point.

"Body Language" offers a mixture of the layers with arid and resonant sounds combined, in which atmospheres have also an important role, melting everything in a solid result.

Direct, dry, evolutive. Convincingly basic. This is "Atalaya". A tool necessary in case you get lost in the middle of nowhere. Pure muscle definition.

Continuing in the other side of the record, we discover one of the most visceral and raw exercises from Ownlife's boss. In "The Rebis", the bubbly sound of the bass, and the driving kick, make this track a defensive wall, like a scar on the terrain. A place where you can take refuge when it's necessary.

In the other extreme, the pure turquoise tone gives way to the breaks and more complex structures. "North State" resumes the sings of identity that define this artist. A narrative touch that builds the bridge to the second and last part of this project... TO BE CONTINUED.

It has been few years since MD2.6, but after a long hiatus techno dj and producer Mike Dehnert continues his exploration on MD2 with a new EP filled with straight and destructive techno tracks!

'Pressure Drop' is the debut release from Reedale Rise on 20/20 Vision. The EP sees Simon Keat continue his purple patch of form following from Areleases on other esteemed labels including Frustrated Funk, Common Dreams, Emotions Electric and Boe Recordings. The trademark Reedale Rise lush production sound of emotive electro continues on 'Arkeme' but 'Hydraulics' and 'Pressure Drop' see Simon venture into tougher dance-floor orientated electronic directions. 'Naria' completes the EP with a Motor City style groove based around a heavy break beat.

Three superbly crafted techno tools from Nihad Tule, with plenty of energy and impeccable attention to detail. Resurface offers trippy chords and ever changing patterns on top of a driving beat. On the flip, Passing is built on a deceivingly simple hook, sparkled with drones over a pounding 909. Ascend brings it all home with a gradually evolving hook, stripped down to the bare bones yet still offering a powerful crescendo.

A wide selection of rare Turkish funk, jazz, beat and psychedelic music from the 1960s and 1970s.

This is the third issue of the groundbreaking Bosporus Bridges compilation series started in 2005 (Vol. 1) and continued in 2011 (Vol. 2).

Why did it take so long for the release of Vol. 3 Because deep digging, deep selecting and our wish to serve you Turkish pop music of the highest order takes its time. And it is worth doing so. According to the aspiration of the Bosporus Bridges series you will get extraordinary music, opening your mind and remapping your knowledge of Turkish music.

As Turkish pop music is a hybrid of Western and Eastern elements, it's not just funk, jazz, beat and psychedelic music but each time a specific Turkish approach to a hybrid pop music. This incorporates Turkish language, instruments, melodies etc., all mixed with electric instruments, drums and sound effects of Western pop music.

Enjoy deep Turkish funk by Seyyal Taner, Süheyl Denizci, Cengiz Coskuner and Erkut Taçkin, Turkish jazz by the Burhan Tonguç Ritm Grubu and Figen Han, Turkish beat by Lili Ivanova, Ajda Pekkan and Fatos Balkir, Turkish psychedelic by Semra Sine, Serter Bagcan and Harout Pamboukjian, and Turkish-Asian rock by Dönüsüm & Halit Kakinç.

Quality LP vinyl pressing with restored and remastered audio material of the original records. Comes in a wonderful, authentic and special seventies English-styled old-fashioned cover.

When I started Holding Hands I was certain about a couple of things. I never wanted to press any stupid coloured vinyl and I wanted to put out some absolute bass bin shaking, massively ripping slam jams. I've done my best to stick with these ideals across the releases and I hope the effects on the dance floors round the world speak for themselves. For release numero 7 I have decided to switch up the format and put out a various artists EP. We've got a couple label regulars and a couple fresh faces, each bringing a different vibe but with one overarching theme. The tracks have gotta slam...

OK enough of my blather. Go and listen to the damn things yourself and decide if you like them, rather than trying to work it out from reading a bloody press release you weirdos.

All four tracks are produced and sculpted for the club. They want big sound systems and dark rooms.

Close your eyes, hold hands and experience transcendental space flight...

Egopool gets back on Subdimension with a new single titled "Control". This time the German based producer used are a lot of analog gears, like Analog Rhythm, Prophet 8, Moog Voyager, Dominian and System 8 to craft a melodic techno track with enchanting arpeggios and warm basses.
The original mix is accompanied with two remixes signed by Kiko (already known for his releases on Get Physical / Noir / Suara) and Cumhur Jay, who provided their personal reinterpretation of the main theme. The first offers a drier version with huge percussions, the second gets in with a darker mood and a twisted bass arpeggio. Pick your favorite, and take control!

While carefully handling their respective careers, postponing then their obvious collaboration, Möd3rn trio's members have capitalized its desire and now deliver its mere substance, in the
rightest moment, where, simply, all the distant forces converge.

The six daring, expert hands merge now into a unique entity, unanimously moving within the same effort towards techno music. The formula is elaborated freely: each one's adjunctions -subtle keys, nervous chords, underground blows, rhythmical uproars- pour into a thick maelstrom, opaque, condensing Detroit's grieving sensibilities as well as last decade's bewildering cacophonies.
Chance intertwined their paths and now the three companions celebrate both the friendship that resulted and the good fortune that has driven it, by improvising live together as one faceless, solid body agitated by the urge of dance and music, composing the material that shall be processed later on to form their eponym label's releases.

This first album delivers us a raw & emotional techno. Through this long format, the 3 producers indulge more and expand the scope of their musical playground. Less condensed than an EP this album is a contemplative musical journey that awakens all the senses while remaining dedicated to the dancefloor. This album appears as an obvious decision, logical continuation of the story,
because Möd3rn was born from live. Today, Möd3rn shows us a varied panel of his efficient work, sensitive and powerful, combining strong feelings and dynamic energies.

RUNES #2 compilation comes back with a heavy pack of four compositions from different artists and each of them brings a unique colour to the whole release. We proudly present the fantastic four creative minds: Idriss D, Red Pig Flower, Orbe and Kristina. Runemark Records welcomes new artists to the family and delivers already ninth release in the label catalogue and second in the RUNES compilation series. RUNES #2 is available in both physical vinyl and digital file formats as well the first compilation in the series.
Algerian Idriss D's masterpiece Fuerza Barcelona' perfectly enters the compilation and sets the mood for further coming compositions. It's full of unexpected teasing moments, energy build-ups and Detroit-ish sounds, strongly creates a feeling of togetherness.
The second tight and trippy track in the pack comes from Red Pig Flower and is called The Risers'. It's ritualistic grooves are followed by deep and dark atmospheric synths and dreamy vocal cuts.
The B-side belongs to the Spanish sound and opens with a purified Techno piece of art - Delirium' by Orbe. An analogue-driven composition holds raw power from the very start till the last seconds.
The compilation closes with Kristina's absolutely ideal Secrets From Utah'. Composition reveals a trip thru technological sounds that lift the atmosphere and construct a beautiful work of outstanding artistry.
All four compositions brings highly energetic sounds to rock any dancefloor. Enjoy the music!

On the second wax, we have four explosive tracks that will definitely fit in any record bag. The A-side kicks off with a Le Loup jackin' and mysterious house track. The random drum patters and the subtle electro touches round up this great tune. Cape's track is a joyful track with a very dynamic drum programming and with a deep emotional staccato synth line. Fellow Brightonian Friction gives the Fatboy Slim original a 2018 update with this powerful remix package.

Friction's 'One In The Jungle' mix pulls the best parts of the puzzle and rearranges them into a vibe soaked thumper, harking back to the wonder years of our scene. With a naughty low end and a chopped vocal, this is one's thundering out the undergrowth and into the light.

The second fully loaded refix dropkicks the original into the middle of the modern dancefloor. With Friction road testing this every weekend and Killer Hertz making some serious moves on Elevate Records, this is causing some Jumanji style damage to clubs and stereos worldwide

L'Atelier hit back to the Roots For Bloom roster with a killer groove to start things off, sexy, moving and one to get any floor going. Jamie Trench follows with a nod to the old school of 80s drum machines and twisted vocal hits, with a disco twinge on the break. Oli Furness refurns after appearing on the last shag this one following in the same suite, heavy drums, killer sampling and an absolute heater. Ghetto Chords are the new boys on the block here for RootsForBloom bringing up the b side with a jazz, piano infused hit. Again anyone who knows the series will be all over this.

Dawn Notes' anticipated second release comes from Chicago house music legend Wyndell Long. Long has released music with iconic labels such as Peace Frog, Djax, Primate and R&S. Keeping with the soulful side of deep house and techno music, Long has composed four timeless tracks for Vincent Floyd's eclectic label. 'Enter The Maze' is a musical journey into the unknown.

This March, the New York City-based imprint Absence Seizure will see its joint founders Abe Duque and Matuss join forces once more to deliver 'Seizure No. 11', following up on their recent collaborative effort 'Seizure No. 10' with another four tracks of soulful, stripped-down techno.

The EP begins in quintessential Duque fashion, running quirky and soulful melodies over a throbbing bassline and emotionally charged synths, whilst tying in the acid sounds that have been a staple of his music since his very earliest releases all the way back in 1993 as a regular in the New York wave of acid house and underground techno. '22 October' presents us with a progressive and skilfully executed cut, toning down some of the more muscular techno he sometimes produces in favour of a more freeform and chilled out vibe that layers funky synth melodies over bouncy rhythms and drawn-out sonic ambient textures.

The baton is then passed to Matuss for the remainder of the EP, beginning the journey straight off the bat with 'Between 4AM and Basement', beginning as an altogether more threatening number than the release's opener. The minimalism of the stripped-back beats instantly builds a dark atmosphere, creating a compelling flow through the track that opens up into a shuffling house-tinged beat and dreamy background soundscapes that carry you gently along for the ride.
The muted rhythms of 'Meet You at the Back Door' morph and skip around from one beat to the next to forge a jumpy and infectious musical trip that will instantly catch you up in its driven grooves. The EP's finale 'Moon Guardian' then opts for a different tack entirely, starting out with a confident, breaky beat and adding layer upon layer until the track reaches an exhilaratingly multifaceted climax. Unsettling cosmic ambience, distorted vocal samples, crescendos of noise and the ongoing and constantly evolving beats are brought to a perfect balance in this track, bringing the EP to a mysterious and gripping conclusion.

The North Quarter kicks off 2019 with a comprehensive seven-tracker (four on vinyl) from the seriously talented Anile.
