Confine yourself in a space. We tend to behave and act according to the walls around us. The easy way is to stay within the room, acknowledge its walls and accept being limited to its floor. Instead, start exploring the boundaries. Walk the walls or simply tear them down. Flip the whole room upside down or collapse it all together. Question and explore the concept of a room. It might not take you anywhere new but it could make a big difference on how you enjoy the journey or appreciate the space you are in. Unconfined.

(transparent splattered vinyl) This new set of four highly concentrated cuts shows how effective Planetary Assault Systems can be at fueling the imagination by fusing together rhythmic and incidental elements into a unified, animated meshwork, without even a prominent melody to help out. Deep Heet Vol. 4 also showcases Slaters aptitude for choosing just the right moments to deviate from a steady groove.
Since 2006, the Deep Heet series of recordings has shown the public an especially distinctive side of the production work of Planetary Assault Systems. With a unique 'engine room' ambience and a focus upon maintaining a continual surge of pure energy, each volume in the Deep Heet collection has lived up to that title, subtly suggesting the kind of sustained and voluntary temperature rise that has traditionally given way to spiritual or visionary experiences. Just check out tracks such as "Flat Tire" from Volume 3, with its hard percussive edge accompanied by a pervasive hiss like boiling matter changing into gas. P.A.S. helmsman Luke Slater also thinks highly enough of this series to re-work tracks like "Whistle Viper" in recent live sets, or to offer up others (e.g. "Raid") for remixing by Mote-Evolver allies.
It's only appropriate, then, that the 50th overall release on Mote-Evolver should also be the fourth overall volume of Deep Heet. In keeping with Slater's recent forward-thinking self-assessments like the "Planetary Funk" anniversary series, this is simultaneously a summary of past successes and another new evolution in style and content. This new set of four highly concentrated cuts shows how effective Planetary Assault Systems can be at fueling the imagination by fusing together rhythmic and incidental elements into a unified, animated meshwork, without even a prominent melody to help out. For example, on the compelling track "Lazer Organical," listeners will find themselves in the midst of a testing range where thick arcs of coherent plasma ricochet off of the walls.
Deep Heet Vol. 4 also showcases Slater's aptitude for choosing just the right moments to deviate from a steady groove: on the mesmerizing bubblebath of "Random Kingdom," he allows listeners to sink into the rising sonic foam before interjecting with some sharp metallic hits. The leadoff track "Desert Races" proceeds in similar fashion, weaving a web of luminous sequencer patterns around the listener before and cutting in with sudden fluctuations or distortions that function like a hypnotist's suggestions after an entranced patient has become fully responsive. "Life Rhythm," on the other hand, is a total immersion session in which Slater's presence seems to recede into the background and listeners themselves may begin imagining overtones and sonic ephemera that weren't programmed into the original track.
Charted by Psyk, Edit-Select, Jeff Derringer, Hudi, Paula Temple, Inigo Kennedy, Thomas Hessler.

3rd EP of the French label Plaisir Records made by Cumsecade (aka VID) with a Ali Moghrani Remix !!
This episode will take you to a journey into Cumsecade's twisted mind. Only Hardwares are involved in this masterpiece. On the A side, you'll find Grey Friday, which has a real personal story behind it. The track starts with a pure minimal sound where the layers appear little by little to create a melancholic mood. Then, the melody comes in and matches perfectly with all the sweet noises around to take you for this experience. Grey Friday is the kind of emotional tracks that drops this style to the next level.
B side opens with Edene, a remarquable Cumsecade's imprint with its rolling minimal loop that goes on and on, very catchy and efficient, that increase more after each break.
After being in charge of our 2nd EP, Ali Moghrani takes care of the last track with an Edene's remix. He comes back with some housy mood and still with his recognizable groove. A perfect tune to dance.

The SHAG Edits return on Roots For Bloom with volume 5. label boss Jamie Trench starts things off with "Where The Party At" which reaches in to a hip hop flavour with that 90s sample feel. Reece Johnson rounds off the A side with a disco style cut that will bring the boogie to any floor. The B side sees the label welcome more newcomers in Bristol's J.Morrison and the mysterious G.Markus. Brown Eyes sees that 70s style funk brought to the table and BING! is a more house affair with a rolling feel to it.

It's in the depths of the oceans that PierroX finds his inspiration for this ambient music. He uses natural sounds (like whale songs
for example) to take us on an abyssal trip between purity and aggression. Two talented producers, Nutia (German) and Shcaa (English) take us back to the surface with their minimal tech-house remix.

With an ever increasing back catalogue under his belt, would anyone still assume, Adam Port's next creative steps are easy to predict Au contraire! Here's his new Keinemusik release you hadn't reckoned with. This very I Never Wear Black' EP shows him changing tune drastically and that in the true sense of the word.
Just have a closer listen to the A-side I Never Wear Black'. You'll discover those metallic sounds of straining strings, that he'll group with layers of shakersounds and a guitar loop that one can read as expression of Port's interest in Progrock and Balearic history. A loop that will pluck whole dancefloors into trance-like condition. Port goes for the big effect through minor means. No vocals, manageable arsenal, no overreacted break-hysteria and still a dense, vibrant and ecstasy triggering ride stretching over more than seven minutes.
E Sound Edit' on the flip presents a quite similar feeling. Once again, Port is aiming for analogue grip und implies all the splinters of sound that come naturally when carving out a vital piece of music. E Sound Edit' is far from perfectly tared, sterile soundslickness. There is hot blood running through all those latin samples, the swinging piano and the recurring use of guitar and surely its vibe will not only get a floor moving, but also bring about broad grins to many faces.

NNY Records presents the new work of the Alphacom duo, formed by the producers Eduardo de la Calle (Analog Solutions) and Kristina (Amsafe Records). This new Spanish label is responsible for publishing the four new productions included in "Path EP", a work where Eduardo and Kristina show another facet, different from their solo careers, close to the style of
mythical projects such as Plant 43, ERP and The Other People Place where the electro merges with the IDM. Throughout four tracks they show their mastery when producing an analog and melancholic electro, where each sound is milimetrically studied and shaped to sound as it should, to provoke movement and stimulation of body and soul.
Analog deep space electro with a intimate and melancholic vibe. With each sound carefully designed and crafted to provoke movement and stimulation of body and soul by the Alphacom duo. A duo formed by the producers Eduardo de la Calle (Analog Solutions) and Kristina (Amsafe Records). The "Path EP" showcases another facet of the producers mind, a different from their solo careers. A superb start for the new NNY label from Madrid. Recoommended!!

With over 25 years in the game, André Galluzzi can respectfully be awarded the veteran badge of honour. A mark of experience and longevity for an artist who has, as they say, been there and done it all. Today howeversees the German take on a new adventure, with his debut release for Josh Winks Ovum Recordings. As a DJ, André has held residencies at three of Germany and the worlds most influential Clubs - Tresor, Ostgutand Berghain. Been the driving force behind his own We Play Vinyl party. Managed his own Taksi (along side Paul Brtschitsch) and Aras Record labels and featured his own music on such highly acclaimed imprints as Cocoon, Cadenza, Ostgut Ton and Highgrade. Back in 2001, having released his seminal mix compilation, 'Im Garten', André embarked on a new series of events that regularly saw him play intoxicating sets of up to 10-hours. The parties went by the name of Submerge and those infamous Dj sets have inspired his beautiful brace for Ovum today. The metronomic kick drum of the title track introduces us to its immersive groove, whilst bubbling and elasticated fx vie for our attention, adding a sublime swing to Submerge. On the flip, Bold, by name and nature, ups the swing ante with its fierce acidic melody, shimmering hats and rasping snare. Support from: Josh Wink, Pan Pot, Joris Voorn, DJ Hell, Huxley, Doc Martin, Till Von Sein, Anja Schneider, &Me, Catz N Dogz and more!

"After a run of new signings in 2016 - Aus music kick of 2017 with something a little bit different. To inaugurate the new year they welcome in Catz 'N Dogz for three separate interpretations of classic records from the Aus Music archives. Cherry picked from the vast back catalogue are tracks from Bicep, Geeeman and George Fitzgerald - all of which are given a rough, smokey treatment from the PETS Recordings owners. Kicking things off is the remix of Geeman's 'Wanna Go Bang- he title track from his punchy 12-inch from 2015 that now sees a driving and percussive reworking. Bicep 'The Game' is next in line - a track from the Irish duos first solo outing on Aus back in 2013. Soft, overlapping chords are propelled by snapping drums and multiple melodic lines that build an allaying palette The remix of George Fitzgerald's 'Hindsight' then caps things off as more frazzled drums propel a stuttering vocal line and a warped synth pattern. Continuing to keep things fresh - Aus look ahead to another year of new signings and surprises and kick off here with a reminder of the solid foundation that has come before it"

Marco Resmann returns to Watergate after a productive stint at the Red Bull Music Studios in Cape Town with two stellar cuts featuring local heroes Deep Aztec and Black Soda. Tack on a remix from the one and only Oliver Huntemann and another revision from Resmann himself and you have the 'Babylon Side' EP. Teaming up to kick things off, Resmann, Black Soda and Deep Aztec embrace the cultural sounds of Africa's organic percussion and vocal prowess to create a tour de force tune perfectly balance between flashing club lights and vast open skies. Following suit, 'Abadala' sees Marco again with Deep Aztec for a lush ride into deep emotional spaces by applying mesmerizing syncopated rhythms and spellbinding vocals ideal for deeper or more sentimental dance floor moments. Up next is Techno legend Oliver Huntemann who, playing after Resmann earlier this year at the 15 years of Watergate event at Warung Beach Club in Brazil enjoyed his set and the two hit it off, so logically he was asked to lend his trademark sound for a revision of 'Babylon Side' and he twists the original into a heavy Techno belter complete with sinister sonics and fever inducing sirens. Wrapping things up is Marco Resmann himself with his own take on 'Babylon Sides' and delivers a wild and twisted version of gargantuan low end and psychedelic shimmers of the original vocal resulting in a killer tune with a ton of attitude.

Another split vinyl between two new artist on the third Methodical release. On the A side, from the well known labels Semantica or Prologue, we have the pleasure to have Mod21. On the B side another excellent Italian artist, with releases on labels like Soma or Invite's choice, Drafted.
Dope Plates 005 brings retro flavours from some of the scenes freshest talent. North London based Sicknote delivers a beautiful rolling track called "2000 AD". East Asia based Brit Scape comes with some serious ambient amen pressure with "Escapism" and U.S producer Mark Kloud ends the release with his superb track "Strength".
Mosaique turn to the learned ears of Mick Wills to fill out their third release with a pair of exclusive edits that align with the German DJs distinctive take on deviant dance music. On the A side Wills edits "Ultimatum" by Russian industrial wayfarer DMT, a track dripping with sinister synth tones and rasping, brittle drums that sound great looped up across a whole side of vinyl. On the flip Wills takes the knife to "Flexion" by Jasss, the emergent Spanish artist whose wide ranging style encompasses coldwave, acid and more besides. The emotive synth strains of this track strain against the harsh, distorted drums to great effect, all filtered through that Mick Wills vision of what makes great, dark, sleazy dance music.

Diagonal pull out a zinging art-techno curveball with Another Exhibition at the Modern Institute, the 2nd EP by Glasgow's hottest new prospect, The Modern Institute; an iconoclastic trio of agitators comprising Golden Teacher's Richard McMaster and Laurie Pitt joined some droll, scaly Northern English vocalist for one of the freshest and vital blends of post-punk, art-school and techno sensibilities to emerge in recent memory.Aimed as a snark at the middle class art gaze as much as a slippery engine for the danceloor,
Another Exhibition at the Modern Institute reels six mercurial fusions of scudding, techy rhythms and sheer electronic contours strewn with drily observant vocals describing hypersensual scenarios. It's a sound perhaps purposefully located lightyears away from Golden Teacher's charming retro-vintage styles, and effectively gives that group's rhythmic engine of McMaster´and Pitt a space to express their more contemporary concerns.
Forming the 2nd blow of a Glasgow-centred 1-2 after Russell Haswell and Sue Tompkins' Respondent EP, The Modern Institute swarm in formation from a white-hot electro-stepper IV
Cheeks to somewhere darker, almost paranoid by the close of Dozen Cocktails, taking in a sound like Errorsmith producing for MES in Limitless Light, or Hecker doing footwork on the new beta anthem Quicksilver Lips, whilst Unbreakable Pulse and the pinging ballistics of Molton Gold short circuit the deep rooted transatlantic connection between Glasgow art punks' afterparties and Detroit ghetto styles with a deadly swagger. It's just a must-have for fans of Chris Carter, DJ Stingray, Toresch, Dale Cornish, Cabaret Voltaire.

Niconé, the versatile musician and likeable style-icon: unshaven and latently bleary-eyed, of course, but elegant and - thankfully - modest at the same time. Over the past years, Alexander Gerlach has become synonymous with a certain playful touch and light-hearted attitude that flows through his music and goes hand in hand with a laidback natural tenor. 2011 saw him release the hugely successful 'Romantic Thrills' album together with his good friend and constant partner in crime Sascha Breamer. Now, two years later, Niconé is presenting his first solo full-length, 'Let Love Begin', on Stil vor Talent. ‚Burnhain' gives a taste of what's to follow and is one of two 12 EP accompanying the album. On the A-side, ‚Burnhain', classic house sounds such as driving high-hats and 90s rave stabs offer a nod to the past, while hitting the zeitgeist. 'Querido', which features Sascha Braemer and the newly discovered vocal talent Yvy, initially drops the energy on the B-side before exploding with Mediterranean life, castanets included for good measure. 'You Are My Best Meowfucker' then pushes us back into the club as a techy rhythm and repeated vocal hook draw us to the floor. The track's twist offers itself in the form of a string loop that lends an oriental edge. Spicy and addictive! Let love begin..
