House Vinyl New Releases - News

Following the release of Masters At Work remixes of ‘Antigravity Love’, taken from electronic hero Krust’s critically-acclaimed album ‘The Edge Of Everything’, the A-list versions keep flowing with Four Tet, Batu and Damian Lazarus each re-working a different track from the LP.

Sparkling like stars with a pretty melody, Four Tet’s interpretation of ‘Negative Returns’ also packs a deceptively heavy punch, maintaining the original’s hurtling velocity, fuelled by a huge sub-bass engine.

The spiralling beat-and-bass science of fellow Bristolian Batu’s version takes ‘Space Oddity’ and deconstructs it like a cubist portrait, matching the main man himself in pure outside-the-box expression.

Crosstown Rebels boss Damian Lazarus maintains Krust’s epic adventure narrative, retelling the tale in his own words, taking recognisable parts from the original and transposing them into a groovy cosmic house odyssey.

For DSD025, we welcome Tom Jarmey to the Dansu Discs team with his new alias ‘Ocean Stirs’.

His ‘Through Twist and Seam’ EP takes you on a journey across tasteful, jungle- infused electro, half-tempo rollers and vocal ear candy. It was a breakthrough 2020 for Tom, with numerous releases under both his Tom Jarmey moniker and collaborative project, Mother Of Pearls.

Dansu Discs invite him to the crew with an extremely warm welcome.

Small Great Tunes Vol.1 is varied and offers a traveling DJ multiple vibes to choose from. The energy on this new record takes off within the few first bars. The opening track "Sport Casino" by Kid Simius introduces a lighthearted mood and 80s synthesizers.

Peter LC's "Sogni D'infanzia" is very likely to become the next lofi-house classic on disco dancefloors around the world. Dreamy and melancholic but groovy nevertheless.

The B1 track “Kamal”, a collab between David Silver & Luca Olivotto is a tasty house mood. The tune features a powerful and groovy bassline and sparkling synth leads all accompanied by rhythmic piano chords. B2 is similar to A2 in the way that it's also a lofi-house track with nostalgic moods and careful sound design.
With each side of the record featuring both a sunnier and a moodier track, the EP is a perfect fit for summer sets in a heated club or leisurely listening sessions on late afternoons enticing the listener to let go and bringing back memories that have yet to be created.

A producer known for his eclectic and melodic sounds, Guy Gerber has delivered the brand-new remix package of his very own ‘What To Do’ production, set for release on Friday 26th October.

Embodying a varied range of sonic arrangements that the Israeli DJ has become synonymous with, the original was released earlier this year and demonstrates varied cymbal-claps and a wide range of isolated percussive instruments. With &ME spinning his own dynamic rework of the track, the German - who has performed a number of sets across Ibiza this summer, playing at DC-10 ’s ‘ Circoloco’ - adds groove-fuelled elements to the mix, a stark contrast to the deep, and driving style favoured by DJ Jes. A great remix package of the beloved original version of ‘What To Do’

Blaze and Joey Negro's rare house/garage cut from 1991.

The Shapeshifters’ studio mastery and dedication to his craft has resulted in singles that stand up alongside golden era disco records as much as they sound fresh on dancefloors today. His rich relationship with Glitterbox has yielded instant classics that epitomise the label’s ethos for preserving disco’s mission to uplift and empower, especially with his latest release and debut collaboration with the Grammy, Tony and Emmy Award-winning Billy Porter, ‘Finally Ready’. Now this special 2 x 12” vinyl package includes an array of remixes from some of dance’s most esteemed artists. A real record box essential, the first disc features the original, as well as previously unheard versions from The Shapeshifters and two remixes from disco master and Glitterbox regular Dimitri From Paris. The second disc features housier, club-friendly versions from long standing friend of Defected David Penn and ubiquitous Polish duo Catz ’N Dogs, as well as Dimitri’s ‘The Sound of Paris Remix’ and the Acapella, an essential DJ tool. This is a stand-out package, with remixes you will want to keep hold of, securing ‘Finally Ready’ a position as a modern-day disco essential.

ARCYDARO 02 is the producer's step towards a darker and more aggressive sound. Furthermore it's a step into a new decade that will bring forth much more music from this newcomer, whose works have already been picked by the likes of Âme, Dixon, Gerd Janson, Jennifer Cardini and more.

2020 is busted wide open for F*CLR Records by Bon Voyage, the globally renowned Hip-House duo from LA, Brooklyn, London and Finglas who drop their explosive ‘High Power’ EP with North Street R.A.V.E + FunKay remixes from Ashley Beedle + the crew.

Bon Voyage = Hip House + Arthouse + Acid House = Shamon Cassette, the Furious 5 love child and music and fashion powerhouse spilling rhymes, with Arveene, the super connected internationalist/DJ aficionado dropping bass lines and making beats, showcasing his exceptional production talents. With regular Radio 1, 1 XTRA, KISS FM and global airwave exposure, Bon Voyage are no strangers to dance playlists and DJ Charts with an abundance of glowing accolades from the likes of MistaJam, Annie Mac and Pete Tong.

The ‘R.A.V.E’ vocals encourage you to ride the Nu Acid House wave with relentless, jackin’ piano from Darren Morris. Audio influences from Doug Lazy’s ‘Let It Roll’, the Chicago Trax and DJ International labels and a nod towards the classic Acid House sound of Steve ‘Silk’ Hurley are all part of the mix. Meanwhile, the tripped out ‘R.A.V.E’ Dub takes you to the outer limits of the M25 Orbital. Flipping the musical style back a decade from the 80’s to the 70’s, a monster slab of Philly goodness provides the bedrock for the ‘Fun.kay’ remixes with more Soul Train slickness than you can shake a stick at.

For its second vinyl release, Eternal Ocean is proud to present ‘Static Flow’: the debut EP of Timo Bürgler AKA Awo Ojiji. Creating his own unique sonic world, Awo Ojiji has delivered a four track body of work that feels at once fresh and familiar. Opening the EP, ‘Lifeforms’ swings out of left field with an off kilter swagger sure to inspire more than a few unique dancefloor experiences. On the interior comes ‘Grainhive’, a groover that strikes a deep and rare balance of emotive texture and raw bassline energy. Flipping over, we find ‘Laura’s Lodge’, perhaps the most oblique tune of the bunch, where slick and expertly crafted percussion compliments the alien sound design that rides out the tune into its own dimension. Closing the record, ‘Swarm Align’ invites the dancer on a journey inwards, deftly maneuvering through a myriad of sonic waypoints until finally finding its way home, to be filed straight away under ‘Deep/Last Song’. Based in Graz, Austria, and having honed his skills alone and through close involvement with the disko404 family, Awo Ojiji steps up in offerance of a unique and personal statement. Taking influence from the current climate and deep history of electronic music and finding a space that is honest and genuine, this is music for the body, mind and soul.

Walking through the rain knowing it's a fair way to go, you can't get dry and your feet are wet. We've all been there. Label head Crooked Finger debuts on SZE with three tracks of rugged dubbed-out house, backed with a remix from Bristol badman Hodge.

Trevor Jacksons second release on his unreleased archive recordings label Pre- is a heady collection of subterranean minimalist synth jams, blissful technicolour textures, somber distorted drones and expansive cosmic soundscapes.
Recorded during 2010-2014 with a limited analog vintage hardware set up - Elka Sythex, Roland Jupiter 6, Roland 808, Roland Chorus Echo, Bel BD80 delay & Tape, these solo recordings were created at unearthly hours as lengthy improvised compositions and cathartic personal experiments. Heavily manipulated using classic effects units, harmonic layers slowly evolve, arpeggiated melodies mutate, discordant drum machines and fractured voices merge elegantly into noise. Design your Dreams is Jackson at his best, uncompromising and considered, progressive and unique.

Under exclusive license from Goldschool Records, Alliance Upholstery is pleased to present the vinyl version of Elite Soul's 'Love Just Keeps on Coming.' LJKOC is the debut release from Mitch Erwin's latest project featuring Vernon Reid (Living Colour) on guitar and the vocal stylings of Tito Love.

Mitch Erwin/Mitch Race was quite the man about town in the 80s, producing records for labels like Supertronics, 25 West and Sutra Records (amongst others). Best known for a track on Jump Street's seminal 'Welcome to the Club' LP and the Dub mix of Up Front's 'Infatuation', Mitch draws from the spirit of NYC's past while injecting a modern feel into this unique single. In some ways it sounds like a forgotten master tape recently unearthed from the basement of a long closed studio, in others a current R+B producer trying out a few analog synths while doing his best Robert Owens impression.

This dreamy, heartfelt low BPM stomper is served two ways. The 'Guitar Aficionado Pop Mix' takes the listener on a celestial journey through the clouds while the 'Funk DeFacto RNB Mix' brings a more straightforward club vibe for heating things up early in the night. The message is clear. Love just keeps on coming!

On 150 gram vinyl from Brooklyn Phono and mastered by Dietrich Schoenemann.
