House Vinyl New Releases - News

Chicago’s PHONE RECORDS 2nd limited edition collection of 6 more live hardware recordings with analog bass lines layered into Deep House, Acid & Breaks from label head AARON K featuring a superb workout of pure electronic sonics. Hand silk screened labels. A must buy!

Nostalgic synth and chords, innocent melodies and powerful rhythms all compound the versatile Art Of War EP by upcoming producer Coeur. From analogue club cuts to Sunday morning jams and more personal atmospheres, the Parisian artist navigates seamlessly between genres and influences all along the record.

What strikes first is the thumping yet enchanting club cut that is Dinguzer (A1). Uplifting acid melodies mingle and develop to samples of the British Soul Queen Sade for an accurate and uncompromising dance floor number. The flip side opens up to another level of introspection with 49 RDC (époque poly) (B3) and Trenolo (B2) that show a more reflective and playful approach to music production. Left field house & techno connoisseurs won't be disappointed to find more rhythmic complexity along the way with Lawrence D (B1) and Thick String (A2).

With this first release, the young and vinyl only Trusted Meds Music imprint appears as a legitimate home for heartfelt House Music. Expect big things for 2019!

Bliss Point is proud to welcome NY producer Duane Island to the roster with Solar Effect, three enormous and heartfelt club excursions, combining elements of trance, italo and disco to pack as much life as possible into one release.

The title track, “Solar Effect”, twists in on itself like a trip peaking at noon, pairing squelching FM synth lines with airy piano chords to get hands in the air, feet off the ground, and heads in the clouds. “Figo Dream” is an afternoon bike ride through a lifted and euphoric dreamscape, anchored by a pulsing bass line that changes course at just the right moment. “Olio” cruises back to earth by sunset, with cheeky keys and voices from dancefloors past beckoning for another go round.

A group of stray felines of all shapes and sizes based in The Taieri, behind the old RSA building. Bored of the norm and wanting to explore, searching for a purpose they come across a collection of
musical instruments out back of the Taieri Court rest home.

A Trumpet, Childrens Guitar and a Yama-ha electric keyboard.
Then What? Very happy to welcome Eden Burns to the PP Label Family, this 4 Tracker EP is the first of many more to come.

More of a cultural artifact than an album in the traditional sense, Osunlade's'Pyrography' first materialised in 2011, intended to mark the closing chapter in his House music journey, the start of a new creative phase. Titled after the ancient artistic practice of burning an image onto a surface, everything about 'Pyrography' implied both ritual and permanence. A few signed, ultralimited edition CD copies of the album were accompanied by a specially
commissioned art book, with original works by highly regarded Australian artist Scott Marr and a series of 'oriki' prayers appearing in print for the first time ever. In 2017, BBE are proud to team up with the mercurial DJ, producer and ordained Yoruba priest Osunlade to make this incredible work of art available on vinyl for the first time. Two heavyweight 12' records
nestle in the front and back covers of a lovingly printed book containing a brief history of the Yoruba culture, Scott Marr's evocative images and those all-important traditional oriki prayers by Maria Oggun Bemi. Placed at the meeting point of art, culture, history, music and spirituality, Pyrography simply cannot be described or compared, much like the ritual Anagó language the project celebrates.

A timeless deep house track with a powerful message, Manchild (In The Promise Land) is a brand new creation from two of Chicago House music's true architects, Ron Trent & Lono Brazil. Getting his start as a DJ in the mid 80s while still a teenager, Ron Trent quickly turned his hand to production, studying percussion and keyboards; skills which define his distinctive, melodic compositions to this day. Founding Prescription Records with Chez Damier in '93 and sister label Balance soon after, he helped introduce talents such as Moodymann, Pevan Everett and Luke Solomon to a global audience. Ron Trent's career has gone from strength to strength over the last three decades, DJing all over the globe while continuing to push boundaries with his productions and remixes.

An ode to the corals.

A true milestone in Innervisions' history got the repress treatment a lot of us have been waiting for. Âme’s ‘Rej EP’ is back in a fresh packaging, more than 15 years after the original release.

FNDTN00007 is courtesy of one of our main men, Ron Wells. This time we have a four tracker perfect for those day parties, early morning hours or even just to have a nice listen in the car while you’re driving into the sunset. Musical to the core and displayed through beautiful electronics.

Mr Gene Hunt is already in the game since the early 80s and is considered a true Chicago legend. After dozens of albums and EP’s on labels as Moods & Grooves, Nite Life Collective and L.A. Club Resource, he now comes with a heavy hitting 3 tracker on the fresh sublabel of Deeptrax Records; Contrafact.

Gene serves you the perfect mixture of nostalgic Paradise Garage vocal house moods with deep growing and shuffling classic grooves for peak time happiness! Soulful house at level 10 is very hard to find these days, so make sure to tune in because this is massive!

In Records back in Romania with OCTAVE which gives us a wonderful trip with his percussive bliss. Three deep hypnotic cuts and one remix from young French talent CHORDS aka Charles Fenckler, which remind us glorious 90s French House Age. Enjoy !

The second release on Freevoyage is from Rokko, dj and producer from Slovenia. Founder of Just Jam collective, based in Ptuj.

It’s in the grey space combining careful precision and an unbridled lack of restraint that Sydney musician Morgan Huggins hones his craft.

An advertising school graduate who couldn’t ignore his love of music, Morgan exudes a feeling of carefree commitment not only in his music, but in his approach to life. With an extreme attention to detail, Morgan’s sound fluctuates between delicate and throbbing moments, all in the pursuit of a memorable listening, and more importantly dancing, experience.

While Morgan is new to releasing music, he’s no stranger to Australia’s scene. Co-heading events, raves, festivals and gigs under the name of Lovejoy, Morgan’s experience with music has already been a long and personal one. Having supported the likes of Moodymann, Jennifer Loveless, Tom Trago, Andy Garvey & Lou Karsh, he has spent time perfecting his craft.

Morgan created Anzac Bridge Filter over the last two years, as he reconnected the city where he grew up, and where he now lives. It’s named after his favourite bridge, which he’s spent many hours traversing both physically and mentally, matched with the filter on his favourite synthesiser, Moog’s Sub 37.

“For me it is nostalgic, happy and sad all at once,” Morgan says. “These songs were written with the hope of reminding people that life is beautiful when they forget, as so many other songs have done for me. If “crying on the dancefloor” were a genre, I would pick that one.

For the most part, this record was finished in various small town libraries up and down the East Coast of Australia as I travelled and camped by myself at the start of 2020. The bushfires were still very much burning, and everywhere you went you could taste the smoke, and see freshly burnt houses, and yet everywhere I went people smiled at each other as they walked down the street.”

As he continues to produce, perform and collaborate, Morgan Huggins is moving into a new phase in 2021. He embraces his exposure to the music culture around him and has crafted a unique sound which is now being showcased to Australia and the world.

“I would particularly like to thank the librarians who were undoubtedly confused by my presence,” Morgan said.

For decades London has been a fertile breeding ground for innovative producers, inspiring generations of DJs, and this is certainly the case with blooming producer, Revivis. A name you will be sure to hear frequently over the next years as he continues to churn out high quality sounds on a host of acclaimed labels such as Cinthie’s We_r House, Okain’s Talman Records and Quality Vibe Records. Now based in Berlin, Revivis has notably begun to craft his personal sound, already sealing several releases over the coming period.

Neotropiq returns for its first release of 2021 with three tracks from Revivis, backed by a remix by the label’s boss, Silverlining. Swingin’, stripped-down and underground, the originals offer an undiluted house groove for every moment of the night. On the Silverlining remix, we can hear the Londoner’s signature

Honey Butter heartily welcomes the very talented duo Rhode & Brown, known for their outings on Toy Tonics, Rose Records, Let's Play House and of course on their own Slam City Jams to join the family rooster.

On 'This side' sits the collaborated number 'Women' together with COEO, in which you get 2 sides of the story, one for some serious sing along and the latter for stomping it out in an orderly fashion.

'That side' will continue to showcase their love for heavy disco affairs and infectious hooks in 'The Heat' & 'Lazy Disco Loop (But I'll Dance Anyway)', all the while putting the cherry on the sundae in the title track 'Langusto Dance Orchestra'.

'Sonorous Waves' is the new label run by Roberto Bosco. ... A label born to give free rein to his creativity and to release new stuff and unreleased music. Now you can listen to this first EP, which is part of the series 'Il Crononauta'. Music allows to escape and travel, somehow even over time!

Laidback summer vibes over a brazilian rhythm and a little brokenbeat anyone?
The London based artist Toma got you covered with his debut NothingCanEverBe.
RawMTs Interpretation of it is a 10 minute subaquatic trip taking you deeper and deeper for ultimate relaxation.
Now for the dancers: JKs Oldschool Remix is a LoFi workout with an irresistible groove in classic LOVEiT House tradition whereas Jo Pariotas Remix preserves the brazilian vibes and the vocals from the original but spices everything up with a phat housey beat, warm chords and some funky piano sprinkles on top. - morri313

Inside Out is a brand-new series that invites DJs and producers to blur the boundaries between traditional artist albums and mix compilations. Coming from Aus Music label head and DJ-Kicks curator Will Saul, the concept encourages artists to showcase their own music and or the music of those in their own individual circles. The mix will be release digitally and on CD, while a selection of the tracks will also be available on double gatefold vinyl.

Each instalment will feature 100% new and unreleased music. It is a chance for artists to take sole creative charge, A&R as they see fit and then commission brand new music specifically for the cause. Depending on who is at the helm, Inside Out will take different forms: producers may wish to represent their own sound with only music they have made themselves or with close collaborators, while DJs and label heads may wish to reflect the sounds and scenes that surround them. The results will be a window into an artist's world that works as a coherent mix, but also as a treasure trove of fresh new music that steps outside the usual lines of a dance album.

The idea stems from Will Saul's own approach in the club, which often finds him seeking out brand new and unheard music to play for the first time. That feeling of taking people into the unknown is one that reminds him of the energy and excitement of his early days as a dancer.

For Will's mix he enlists an array of artists who he's worked with over the years, many of whom have released on one of his labels in that time. These include the likes of Lone, Pearson Sound, Move D, Gerd, Youandewan, Martyn, Falty DL, Dauwd, Appleblim and Marquis Hawkes.

‘No Limits’ is a record that has been causing waves since 2019 when it was originally released on Gladys Pizarro’s Launch Entertainment imprint.

Born out of an inspired studio session in 2018 between Danism, Train and DJ Rae, the song immediately felt special, evoking memories of the heyday of the soulful NYC sound. The production and, in particular, the sublime vocal delivery from DJ Rae made it stand out and the NYC-based Launch Entertainment seemed the perfect home for it. The record was a hit on the soulful house scene with heavy support from Louie Vega, Todd Terry, Francois K, Terry Hunter, CJ Mackintosh, Mr V, Sandy Rivera, DJ Spen, Brutha Basil, Sy Sez, Richard Earnshaw and loads more.

Fast forward to 2021 – and in partnership with SoSure Music - ‘No Limits’ is set for release on vinyl with the unquestionable expertise of Danny Krivit laying down a signature re-edit of this soulful house gem. Looping up DJ Rae’s vocals to expert effect at the beginning of his edit, Krivit amps up the anticipation for that sensuous, soulful house drop as twinkling keys reverberate from ear to ear. This is emotive house at it’s very best. The full length and original Vocal Mix graces the B-side.

With this release Danism, Train and DJ Rae also launch their DTR project alias. With the continued success of ‘No Limits’ plus brand new material set to follow throughout the year on Launch Entertainment it makes sense to cement their initial collaboration into something more solid. Danism, Train, DJ Rae combine as the DTR Project with Danny Krivit on remixes duties. A delightful combination to kickstart 2021.

Mak & Pasteman finally make it to UTTU, something that has been in the works for a while, DJ Haus launches a new off-shoot ‘Dancetraxx’ for the occasion and here we are with Volume 1. Two tracks, a Deep House number and the crazy cool Garage inspired “T2000”. Fresh from their release on Lobster Boy which is out now.

Chicago's legend Paul Johnson comes back with "I Can Make You A Big Freak" EP, 4 house cuts on the brand-new Italian label Discodelic. A mix of disco, house and ghetto vibes that will make you dance no matter what! Limited copies, be fast!

Sidney Charles continues to establish his Heavy House Society label with another thrilling EP, this time from the boss himself after a standout first couple of releases from Barem & Bodeler.

Charles does not mess about in the booth or the studio, he makes body rocking house music with rock solid drums and deft, soulful details that get clubs pumping.

After years of releasing on the best labels out there - and laying down killer sets everywhere from London to Berlin and Ibiza - he is now focussed on his own project and serving up some of his best music yet. 'Sub Society' is up first and is a driving house cut with punchy drum programming and an elastic bassline.

Chord stabs bring a sense of warmth and colour, and this one is set to make a huge impact in the club. Raveheart then gets down and dirty, with tight drums and percussion, a rubbery bassline and the sort of tripped out pads that get you lost in the music.

This is another high class EP from one of house music's most essential names.

unperson’s forthcoming ‘The Ghosts That Gave’ EP will be released digitally and on 12” vinyl via Negative Space Ma, kick-starting a new chapter for the enigmatic producer as he glides between ambient, techno, breakbeat, footwork and UK funky with unquestionable prowess across 6 varied but inter-woven tracks.

The EP is framed around the concept of juxtaposing moments of euphoria and melancholy found within club music, delicately expressing intricate textures and emotion for the quiet corners whilst maintaining a dance-floor sensibility.

“Ultimately, I wanted to build a body of work that explores and extends upon various corners of the Harcore Continuum. Through the juxtaposition of fleeting moments of euphoria scattered amongst twisted, melancholic soundscapes, I aimed to express fluctuating emotions which denote the spirit and energy of the club/UK sound-system culture”. unperson

Following the completely sold out 'Imagine - A - Nation' and 'Le Fusion' reissues, Anotherday brings you a very special release from the vault of the enigma that is Spencer Kincy, AKA Gemini - we are very proud, and extremely excited to present Gemini's first 4 releases, lovingly re-mastered!

* Originally released on Relief Records; the Chicago techno label headed up by Cajmere, these releases were Gemini's introduction into the worlds of house and techno, and contain some of his most vital works.

* As one of Chicago's most mysterious and revered characters, the story of Gemini, aka Spencer Kincy has become something of a myth in recent years - blazing a trail throughout the 90's, prolifically releasing over 200 tracks from 1994 to 1999, Spencer's music had shades innovation and soul few of his peers could match. Then, suddenly, at the peak of his career, he disappeared.

* As before, this album has been licensed directly from the man himself, and the money made from its exploitation will go directly to him.

Prolific American artist Jon Hester returns to Rekids for the first instalment of his new album, ‘Converge’, this September.

Jon Hester grew up in the Midwest US, living in Chicago and Minneapolis while taking musical cues from Detroit. Initially he was a dancer, and later transitioned to the decks with a refined understanding of what it takes to move a club. He progressed to hosting his own events, holding residencies, and working at a record shop, and now brings his physical rhythms and adventurous drums to his productions, with output on respected labels such as Transmat, Deeply Rooted, Dystopian, Klockworks, and LET Recordings, not to mention multiple appearances on Rekids.

Continuing to show fine form on his debut album, Hester now serves up eight of his signature house and techno fusions with plenty of his trademark directness across four sides of vinyl. The superb 'Sending Signals' opens the album with scene-setting synth modulations full of sci-fi atmosphere. It's the calm before the storm as 'Metropolitan' then immediately sets off on a cantering groove that is eventually run through with busy, jazzy piano keys that bring the soul.

'Haze' has excellently taught kick drums with hypnotic synth tones adding colour, and features Hester on saxophone. When 'Rain' comes, things grow darker and more menacing, with shakers and urgent stabs keeping you moving at a slick pace.

The second half of this compelling record features the loopy punches and pulses of the super smooth 'Dreamstate', beautifully cosmic and widescreen techno of 'Free' and pensive but urgent deep electro of standout cut 'Flex.' Last of all, 'Equinox' is lit up with distant chords which bring a far-sighted gaze to the rolling, robust kicks.

X-Ray records' catalogue is as under the radar as it is rich and ahead of its time. Releasing between 1992 and 1994, most of the label's outputs were produced by Raymond Castoldi. Although people primarily know Castoldi for being the music director and organist in Madison Square Garden, he also has a lesser known chapter of his life. In the early 1990s, Raymond released 6 EPs on his imprint X-Ray Records. By coupling his musical education with a four-on-the-floor club pattern, Castoldi managed to create a jazzy vibe with spaceous sounds and keyboard jams, all coalescing into a relaxing atmosphere that would eventually become the signature sound of 90's deep house. In partnership with Castoldi, Kalahari Oyster Cult delivers the goods once again: 11 tracks from the X-Ray catalogue over a 3LP for your deejaying pleasure.

t’s Indian Summer again and it’s like an unwritten rule to please you with another Atelier release at this beautiful time of the year.
So here we are with a collection of superb re-interpretations of a few tracks taken from the duos debut album “Varsam Court”. Delivering the goods we have no one less than Dutch high flyer’s Tunnelvisions, Lisboa’s LuxFrágil resident Switchdance, Heidelberg’s Lopazz & Casio Casino, Lossless co-head Mathias Schober and Alexander Inggs – one half of Atelier.
No doubt that we’re proud about this line-up and couldn’t be happier with the music we’re going to share with you now – enjoy!
Atelier quoting on the remixes:
“After writing the album Varsam Court, it was truly exciting to hear the songs in a different context. Originally, the album was not written for the clubs, but the remixes on the EP transcend that line, bringing the original ideas to a wider audience and into a new space. These reinterpretations by the artists are a great testament to how
everyone really does hear and feel music differently.”

Daniel Bortz, a staple among electronic music producers, returns with his new album "Stay". After "Patchwork Memories" on Suol from 2013, it's the second album for Berlin-born and Augsburg-rooted Daniel. From his early days of James Blake editing and riding the slow house wave, Daniel has perfected and diversived his production skills over the seven year course between the albums. His range spans euphoric techno, cinematic breakbeats, heart warming electronica and classic deep house, you can witness on his eps for Innervisions, Pastamusik (the infamous Bella Avgvsta trilogy) or even on the legendary DJ Kicks mix series from grandmaster Moodymann, who selected one of Bortz's tracks on his volume. After his three eps (one with his friend and long time collaborator Sascha Sibler and one under his DJ Hotel alias) on Permanent Vacation, Daniel takes the consequential step and releases his second full-length album with the Munich based label. With the 11 tracks on "Stay", Daniel Bortz evokes his teenage years and dreamwalks through his upbringing during the 90's. Musically he brings together what never should have been separated: House, Acid, Downbeat and Breakbeat all rooted in the sample aesthetic of Hip Hop, thereby capturing the full emotional spectrum of life and love. Music that came to stay.

Since bitten by the Techno bug some twenty years ago, Sammy Goosens aka Sierra Sam has been following the steady pulse of the kick drum. Soon his solo tracks caught the attention of legendary R&S Records label who signed him in 1997. James Pennigton aka Suburban Knight started to work with him, co-producing Suburban Knight's classic album - My Sol Dark Direction' for Peacefrog as well as as well as other remixes and singles.

More releases on renowned labels like Dirt Crew, Supplement Facts,Serialism, Upon You or Souvenir followed and resulted in a busy schedule, performing analogue live sets at some of the world's most revered clubs such as Fabric, Rex, Wood, Watergate or Berghain.

In May 2014, Sam teamed up with KiNK for a very special 3h20 improvised live jam at Watergate club Berlin which resulted in the - Live at Watergate' release in 2015. Apart from this, Sam has been busy producing tracks for Upon. You, Sound of Vast, Holic Trax and proveded a 32 tracks retrospective to Best's Friends.

RAKIJA004 brings four brand new retouches, each different in their own style and approach. The release kicks off with 2 dancefloor adapted tracks, skillfully blending a variety of influences into modern house music. On the flip side, the vibe feels much more mellow and warm - as if the tracks are tuned for an afterparty or a more leisured setting.

There’s no stopping UK based duo, Leftwing : Kody at the moment. Welcoming them back to the label with their debut solo release on Toolroom for 2019, we’re proud to announce that ‘I Feel It’ is getting its very own vinyl release.

‘I Feel It’ has been hailed as their finest hour with the boys displaying their versatility by creating a stunning House record that was one of the biggest tunes of the summer season! It incorporates a stunning vocal hook and lush piano chords and has all the ingredients to go all the way. It’s a modern day classic that screams Miami and Ibiza. Featuring remixes from the legendary Paul Woolford and Boston Bun, both artists give their own spin and add a unique sprinkle of flavour to the Radio 1 smash anthem.

DJ Support:

Danny Howard, Annie Mac, Pete Tong, MistaJam, Nick Grimshaw, Greg James, Scott Mills, Shadow Child, Joris Voorn, MK, Rudimental, Marco Carola, Huxley, 2000 And One, Steve Lawler, Riva Starr, Tensnake, Booka Shade, Erick Morillo, Joseph Edmund, De La Swing, Jacky, Secondcity, The Golden Boy, Martin Ikin, Mat.Joe, Gary Beck, Chus & Ceballos, Weiss

Michael Langeder and Bernardo Risquez are Different Fountains. Two free souls and very talented producers whose works emerge slowly far from trends and fashions. Their personal productions, are moving between the experimentation and "dance music".

They are the responsible for the 4th release of the mysterious label Shubaka.

Different fountain brings us 4 experiments for the dancefloor full of raw textures and complex patterns. The hypnotic samples, the repetitive melodies and multilayered percussions are conforming an unconventional ep which is just a piece of their unreal universe.

Yes, we're back at it again with more Eddie Amador. After the success of House Music and Rise, we decided to diversify and go for a double A sided remix package with two distinctly different remixers. So please welcome Ardalan and CJ Jeff to the Yoshitoshi family! Given Ardalan's propensity for booty basslines and infectious grooves, Psycho X Girlfriend seemed like the appropriate choice for the Dirtybird affiliate. He flipped the tracked on its head by pumping it full of sub 100 Hz frequencies, mental sound effects, and even a pinch of acid.
The remix again shows this young gun's talent for creating bona fide bangers that keep the spirit of house alive.
Greek house don CJ Jeff took on 6AM, the groovy and oft-overlooked 2006 wee hours anthem from Amador.
His remix bears a massive 808 kick that floors the mix (no pun intended) into overdrive. His simple, catchy melodies capture the classic Yoshitoshi vibe beautifully.
