INCL. HOT TODDY & RON BASEJAM REMIXES

After seven albums and almost two decades of blessing us discerning musical folk with the very best in disco and house that the UK has to offer, the stars have aligned and Crazy P has collided with Classic in the outer hemispheres of sonic glory. 'Truelight EP' demonstrates fully the unique and superior disco/house hybrid sound that has carved Crazy P's legend into the bedrock of both those beloved genres.
'One True Light' provides cosmic clusters of subtle beats that sparkle and shimmer, with plenty of that well-versed groove that seems so effortless to the Crazy P crew. 'In My Hands' follows some darker twists with a haunting crunching bassline and organ stabs. Topping it all off are remixes of both tracks, one by Crazy P member Hot Toddy aka Chris Todd, drawing on that memorable snaking bottom line and amping up the production with echoes of Donna Summer seduction. Keeping it firmly within the camp, co-founder Ron Basejam remixes 'One True Light', taking the tempo down to create lush, psychedelic soundscapes. There's no doubt, Crazy P are stronger and more relevant than ever.

Detroit Swindle present 'High Life', their second studio album due on the 28th May on the duo's own Heist Recordings. The heart of the album was recorded over a three week period at their Amsterdam studio in March 2017, and the release will coincide with the fifth anniversary of the label. Since forming in 2011, the Dutch duo have carved a unique place for themselves in the scene. Their sound - which merges references from multiple decades into one smooth aesthetic - quickly rose to popularity for its careful blend of soul and rhythm, taking cues from their passion for obscure records, with influences ranging from house and funk to afrobeat and soul. Dynamic live shows and DJ sets afford them a packed touring schedule across the globe, whilst their label Heist Recordings is credited with consistently breaking new artists. The album explores the intersection of live and electronic music, with much of the improvised material left largely untouched to maintain its organic sensibilities. Detroit Swindle describe the album as an 'electronic album with a live approach, combining our love for house, ambient and jazzy harmonics, making it a record interesting for the club, as well as a pleasant album to put on at home.

Following on his joint release on RNT white label last year, Colombian wunderkind Felipe Gordon moves over to the Reserve imprint with a 4-tracker of beautifully crafted jazzy sampled house.

The record kicks off with 'Those Quite Eyes of Yours', intertwining hollow-body guitar riffs around analog synth textures, moves into the late-nite piano stabs of 'There’s a Part of Me That’s Always True', then to the cheeky Tropicalia house groove of 'Now You Caught My Heart For The Evening', and concluding with the dreamy 'That Night At El Bukowski'. It’s a melancholy and deep trip, perfect for listening or bumping in the club

wewillalwaysbealovesong is proud to welcome Felipe Gordon (Toy Tonic) for his magnificent debut EP on the label. The one & only Jimpster (Freerange/Delusions Of Grandeur) on remix duties.

Annie Mac favourite and all-round UK house hero Friend Within makes his debut on Toolroom with two killer records. His 'Renegade' track was released on Disclosure's Method Records back in 2013 and it was this that really propelled him to the top of the tree in terms of exciting UK talent and saw his career flourish massively.

After this came a DFTD release and a collaboration with Disclosure themselves on Universal Records.

'Lonely' is a track that screams Summer; It oozes Ibiza, sunshine, terraces and smiling faces! The vocals are insanely catchy and will be sung at high volume on many a dance floor, and coupled with those lush piano's and skippy, chunky drums, this is a sure-fire hit. 'The Truth' continues this fresh new Friend Within sound and fuses disco elements with rumbling bass lines, loads of energy, slick production and insanely catchy vocals.

Once again tugging on the proverbial heart-strings, MDA Analog returns with a vibrant new EP designed to emote friendly vibes and good spirits. "Lost but not Broken" provides a dreamy outlook with a hint of melancholy, but finally resolving with a message of optimism. "A Theory of Everything" delivers a thouroughly housey vibe to complete the first side. On the B side, "Mimico Creek" bubbles along with upbeat tones, while "Scavenger Hunt" completes the collection with a catchy vibe.

Kerri Chandler’s Kaoz Theory returns mid April with Satoshi Tomiie’s ‘Immersed’ EP, made up of three originals from the Japanese artist.

Satoshi Tomiie has long been a respected figure in the electronic music scene with a career spanning three decades and material on some of the industries most respected imprints, from his debut on FFRR alongside Frankie Knuckles and his contributions to the esteemed Renaissance mix series through to his more recent output on the likes of Yoyaku’s Yoyakuza and his own Abstract Architecture. Here though we see him making a welcome return to Kerri Chandler’s Kaoz Theory following 2017’s ‘512’ EP.

‘65Hz’ leads and sets the tone via glitched out, modulating percussion, murky synth swells and choppy stab sequences before ‘Coincidence’ lays focus on airy dub stabs, a snaking bass groove and crunchy drums.

Title-cut ‘Immersed’ then rounds out the release with shuffled percussion, weighty lowend tones and an amalgamation of dynamic, resonant synth lines, which wind their way in and out of the composition.

Mint Condition - A reissue label focused on excavating the outer fringes of classic House and Techno. Unreleased mixes, classics and overlooked gems mined from the last 20+ of contemporary dance music are the order of the day. From Chicago, Detroit and New York to London and beyond, Mint Condition have got their expert digging hats on to bring you exclusive heat and those rarer than rare jams that have been on your wants list for years! Dig in....

The era of major label 'dance' subsidiaries and remixes certainly threw up tons of classics and unexpected favourites. A time when the A&R men in the big offices were looking for the next streetwise sound, the next club anthem. One such label was the former independent and then Atlantic-backed Big Beat, helmed by the clubbable Craig Kallman who had cut his teeth as a DJ and promo man in NYC's music underground. Utilising his skills, Kallman signed Tropical Moon's 1991 seminal deep house EP 'Love Is A Mystery', a collaborative effort by underrated house heavyweights Nelson 'Paradise' Roman and 'Blue' Jean Hughes (RIP). It's no surprise that this record became a cult must-have with DJ's, here was a sublime and mature record crafted by 2 giants of the deeper side of house music, working in unison to create something 'other'. 4 tracks deep with a wide range of style and oozing sheer class, the whole record still sounds incredible today. A must-have for anyone with a love for soulful and deep music, brought back into view for 2018. An extremely sought after and hard to obtain slab of wax right here. Forget those wack bootlegs that you may see online, this is the real deal.

'Love Is A Mystery' has been legitimately released with the full involvement of the rights holders and Atlantic Records and remastered by Bristol's Optimum Mastering from the original sources especially for this release. 100% legit, licensed and released. Dug, remastered, repackaged and brought to you by the caring folks at Mint Condition!

Multi Culti's astrological archive expands into vinyl-phase #2 with deep lunar trips and solar worship from Nicola Cruz, Moscoman, Zongamin, Manfredas, Umoja and Crowdpleaser feat Mah'Mood.

Fly with us, friends - we have places to go, faces to see, sounds to collect and feelings to make.

One of the key emerging artists out of South America in recent years, NICOLA CRUZ is fresh off his debut album on ZZK and primed to take off with his folklorically dope live set. 'Pagano'might be his most dance-floor friendly track to date, sounding like it came straight out of Compass Point studios carrying the smell of good ganja.

Next up is Disco Halal's MOSCOMAN, kicking it in a latino style for a change, flexing his skills into different lingual terrain, masterfully mixing things up in his inimitably unconventional style.

ZONGAMIN is back - The madly talented Japanese cowboy-funk maestro throws down a six string shoot-em-up serenade for talented lovers in cults of the future, everywhere.
MANFREDAS - Our favourite wildman-Lithuanian lights a lethal stick of incense on Glasswalk, a musical memoir of riding a crack pipe out of an opium den in the slums of Mumbai. True story.
UMOJA's Umboweti is a cheerful jungle jaunt, sounding like Francis Bebey stripped and mixed for the club. Guaranteed smiles and vibe elevation.
The trip concludes with Swiss journeyman CROWDPLEASER teaming up with Egyptian homie Mah'mood for a majikal rendition of pre-Islamic poem Yasmin, featuring hauntingly beautiful vocals from Tunisian wedding singer Habib.

Our 8th record lands just in time for the end of the Covid Pandemic
Lockdowns around the world. This time we point our compass to Tel Aviv, Israel and welcome aboard Itay Dailes for a heavy 2 tracker featuring remixes by label fave DuBeats and OSC owner Matt Prehn.

Itay looooves his drum machines and analogue synths - of which he
has many! Their warm, shuffling grooves can be heard all over this
record infused with headier tech flavors.
DuBeats takes a deeper trip adding lush chords and percussive
textures, then, flip it over for a slowed chunkier approach as the
label boss adds a more groove oriented workout.

Return to the boing. Release your release.

A figure at the heart of the Parisian scene, Yoyaku favourite Janeret readies the third release on Chris Stussy’s blossoming Up The Stuss imprint as he delivers his four-track ‘Difference’ EP - a classy journey through slick garage-tinged melodies, dubby immersive textures, and rich house flavours.

For its eleventh record, Daydream showcases a new quartet of upcoming talents from Netherlands and UK: Jos Lok, Benjamin Joseph, Parsec and Nayve. The various highlights everything that makes the imprint’s signature: stellar sounds supported by forceful rhythms - the right blend of deep vibes and minimal mood.

**All Juno Records, Juno Distribution and label profits from this release will be going to Black Lives Matter charities**
Musically, the EP is as strong as the message. It kicks off with a track from NDATL label head and Atlanta house great Kai Alce. His "Hear The Waves" is exquisite vocal deep house with jazzy chords to die for. Demuir then picks up the pace with some cosmic bass driving along a super smooth house viber, and on the flip the master of depth that is Nick Holder layers up balmy late night pads and live sounding drums into a steamy and intimate atmosphere. "My Sound" from 83 West rounds out a tasteful EP in mysterious late-night fashion, with pads that draw you ever deeper down the rabbit hole. Do not delay in copping this one.

Marcus Henriksson a.k.a. Minilogue/Son Kite, Kuniyuki Takahashi, and J.A.K.A.M. have come together to create a large scale unit called Mystics. West meets East, three different sensibilities and passions that transcend borders and language. The debut album "5 ELEMENTS" is based on the ancient concept of the five elements (water, metal, ground, fire, and wood), and features unique guest musicians such as shakuhachi, koto, and Arabic violin, as well as King Tubby's dub effects by Naoki Uchida. With the addition of Naoki Uchida's King Tubby-style dub effects, the band has succeeded in creating an original sound that defies genre categorization. The result is an important work for 2021 that will give a ray of inspiration to the current chaotic world situation and music scene.

Following a disco-fuelled release on Patrick Topping’s Trick, Spencer Parker gets back to his own Work Them Records imprint with an EP series entitled ‘New Works’. ‘New Works Volume One & Two’ sees the British born, Berlin-based DJ/producer let loose four tracks of the sort of driving house music he’s perfected over the course of his career.

‘babeh babeh babeh babeh’ opens the release with a huge New Jersey inspired beats/chords combo which steadily builds towards the titular chopped vocal refrain and teasingly used bass hook. Next up, Parker deploys deep, swirling pads atop classic 909 drums for ‘beat u’, creating the sort of stripped house dub that informed much of his early love affair with the genre.

On the flip, 'vogue u' sees chopped vocals at the forefront of the cut, paired with a booming, kick focussed rhythm track and staccato piano stabs that nod to the golden era of house while keeping eyes firmly on the dance floors of the future.

Closing out proceedings ‘im in this (until I die)’ shows Parker in some of his funkiest form to date, employing a huge, walking bass and mangled vocal loops with the sort of precision arrangement that is a trademark for producer.

Tommy Rawson releases are sporadic but always high quality. As a former member of the Souled duo who ran the excellent Fresh Minute label - he's been around the more tropical end of UK house and broken beat for many years and this, his first full release for Bergerac ushers forth a new level in his sound. This whole record is a masterclass in post bruk, forward thinking, shining, bright UK dance music. Unmatched in emotion and vibes. Deep Blue is quite simply the sound of the summer. Sun drenched, euphoric and soaring. Broken but not broken, 4/4 but not quite housey. Jazzy, soulful....yeah.... It was the highlight of Red Rack'ems Olive Grove closing set at Love International last year when it provided the most halcyon of moments. Live trumpet from Vicky Flint and a whole bag of vibes from Tommy Rawson. This is a classic. Trust. Past Tense is a super tropical African tinged house stomper which shows Tommys love of sunshine vibes once more with acres of space, insistent chants, dubby pianos and a tinge of Jungle roller bass.
The final track Into The Future takes us into almost Blade Runner-esque orchestral emotion but with a kind of Balearic feel tucked in there too. Beautiful, lilting, emotional memories. You can feel so much love in this track.Such a special record. Buy it. Love it. Treasure it.

Melodize builds on a fine first release with a new one from Beartrax that comes with big remixes from Clarian and Lauer. Having worked with labels such as Lost Diaries and Motek and seeing numerous releases appear in the Beatport charts, American artist Beartrax is a man in form right now.

Ethereal is a slick melodic house cut with far sighted chords and rolling drums. It's about getting lost in the majesty of the musical colour and allowing the emotions to wash over you. Clarian then remixes after many years making a name for his synth heavy sounds thanks to releases on the likes of Kompakt and Anjunadeep and here comes correct once more. His offering is deep and melodic, with a slick cosmic lead over shuffling, icy beats taking you away.

Lauer then closes out with a more edgy remix that has big synth chords riding up and down the scale and plenty of retro feels to the beats.

This EP from the man also known as Alex O Smith is as fine as his album from a few months ago. Opener "Got The Drop On Dem" is typically stripped back Omar S: a melodic bassline forms a soft cushion for the scattershot claps and hi-hats on top, while "Gunup Runup" is a deceptively hypnotic 303 jam which expertly cycles through distortion and delay levels. "My Neffew Randy" meanwhile, is a neon lit house cut straight out of the late 80s, as midnight bass is illuminated by bright organ tones, and flanged piano chords deep in the background add serious weight to the track, before it turns down a dark path as disembodied film audio floats over dischordant synth percolations. "Unitarian" is another twisting acid journey accented with crystalline cymbals; however the best is saved for last, as "Who's In Key" sees the man team up with another of Detroit's favourite sons, Theo Parrish. Smith provides a backdrop of tough bass stabs and glassy chords, whilst Parrish's improvised synth flute contribution throws a more chaotic element into Smith's more mechanical approach.

Multi Culti is honoured to reissue this 1996 classic by Ghanian highlife legend Gyedu Blay Ambolley, adding amazing remixes by Red Axes and Johnny Aux, as well as an in-house edit by Dreems & Thomas Von Party.

A major force in Afro-funk since the early 1970s, Gyedu Blay Ambolley is considered the godfather of hiplife, transforming the highlife genre by adding elements of hip-hop, funk and jazz. The opportunity to reissue the amazing and influential "Simi Rapp" is one of the clear high points of the label's trajectory thus far.

The reissue package is bolstered by an ecstatic rework by Israeli gurus Red Axes, an early-morning anthem from master remixer Johnny Aux, and a laid-back house edit from Multi Culti Executive Shamans Dreems and Thomas Von Party.

Multi Culti: voyaging through time, space and licensing agreements to bring you the best music the world has to offer.

Unquantize are thrilled to present their 200th release - Crystal Waters & DJ Spen “Party People”. For this celebratory release, the incomparable Crystal Waters delivers an amazingly uplifting song that is energetic, powerful, and compelling in every way. It is designed to make you move your feet and enjoy yourself in these troubling times. Alongside a specially reworked 12” only version, Chicago heavyweight Mike Dunn delivers an impeccable BlackBall Remix alongside the juggernaut that is Carl Cox & Eric Powell under their MDFC guise.

Three versions of speaker popping house music, join the celebrations & PARTY!

After a standout debut EP, South Italy based label, Soul Departure Recordings, present their second record compiling four mixes of the soulful house gem ‘Make Me Glow’ from label head, Kikko Esse complete with the unquestionable vocal talent of Venessa Jackson adding her special touch.

Deep soul-laden, piano-infused house goodness with a bubbling bass and soft summery trumpet flurries, Kikko invites Jackson to take this trip to another dimension with her sublime vocals. Kikko then serves up three mixes for every eventuality, a harder hitting club mix, a late night roller and a hazy, trip hop version.

PAWSA is a man making waves across the globe, with his charismatic style and unmistakable flair in commanding dancefloors. Cue PAWZ013 - two club ready, vinyl only weapons that clearly demonstrate PAWSA's power.

Kicking things off, the A side houses 'On Yer Feet' showcasing a beautiful simplicity in PAWSA's production, proving that when every element works in synergy, there's no need to clutter a mix. Marrying a rolling beat and crisp percussion with a bass weight that drives the track, the foundations are laid for an infectious, mantra-like vocal to capture minds and move bodies. The vocal breakdown is destined to be the catalyst for fabled club sit downs the world over, with the drop providing sure fire hands in the air euphoria.

On the B side a brooding, machine evoking bassline and thumping kick are complimented with claps and hats that cut right through in 'For The Few'. Adding in off beat synth stabs, the combination with the mechanical bass is bound to draw dancers into a trance inducing state.

Two heavyweight club tracks destined to do damage, from one of the rising stars of the scene.

Quiroga is back on Really Swing providing an extensive set of tracks in his typical style, a breezy and ear pleasing affair with his longtime friend and collaborator Dario Bass.

“Dabbler in Love” is a sunrise-ready boogie affair with stunning chords and bass progression summed by a twinkling Rhodes solo; “Kundabuffer” drives into more jazzy territory delivering throbbing basslines over a 4/4 latin beat while “Villa Lysis” is a laidback piano soundscape over a lately bassline on a Capri sunset.

On the flipside “Snaporaz” named after the Marcello Mastroianni’s character draws a housey jazz atmosphere with an astonishing bassline reminding of Kaytranada’s groove. “Drum’n’Bass for Papa” closes out the release - an homage to Plug/Luke vibert where chord progressions fuse onto a Squarepusher-Pastorious esque bass lead. Rock on!

Extra Credit is the project of three of electronic music’s greatest exponents; legendary NYC DJ and producer Justin Strauss, London DJ and producer Marcus Marr and Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard; one of dance music’s greatest polymaths.

Homemade sound waves: this is what the first release of the new label Son d'Étroit sounds like. The label founder, Boran Ece made the premiere a matter close to his heart and shows his performance side with this track. A skillfully created chaos has arisen that presents and unites precisely chosen elements. It's food for the dancers in the underground. Rough, pure, minimal with an organic touch but still harmonious. This is neverending house music in its own way.

Hannes Bieger, berlin-based engineer of deep melodic notes honors the first release SDE001 with an "analogue origin" remix.

Up The Stuss founder Chris Stussy joins forces with Mandar’s S.A.M. as the pair deliver their debut collaborative project, 'Get Together’. A rich body of work fusing both artist's unique sound palettes to reveal immersive soundscapes blended with addictive grooves and seductive melodies, the eight track project showcases a collection of timeless cuts for the club and beyond from two of the most exciting names within house music.

Official release for DJ RASOUL’s sought-after house gem RETURN OF THE MAD FUNK EP from 1998 – since then only a few super rare test pressings were buzzing around. One of them reached Michael Reinboth and never left his record box again…

The Return Of The Mad Funk EP is the work of California's DJ Rasoul, criminally underrated in the house community despite excellent projects on Large, 83 West, Strictly Rhythm, Leaf, Guidance, Uncut, Robsoul and others. Tastemakers like Benji Candelario, David Morales, Glenn Underground, Paul Johnson, Carl Craig, and Stacey Pullen were heavy supporters of this threetracker back in the days.

Following in the footsteps of Midland,Dusky, Bicep, and Glimpse, Leon Vynehall is next in line to join Aus's early-2013 run of highly anticipated and sought after releases. Over the course of two EPs on Brighton's Well Rounded Housing Project and an acclaimed two-tracker on George Fitzgerald's ManMakeMusic imprint (Gold Language / Don't Know Why) Leon Vynehall has established himself as more than just your average dance producer: he's established himself as a genuine artist, whose approach to production carves its own unique path, regardless of expectation or reaction, as he himself admits, 'I like chords, I like atmosphere and some sort of emotion in music. Rather than it being just about the dance floor, I like it being a bit of both. I like to take a sound and change it, manipulating things so they sound a bit dusty. With drums, I like to make them sound more human. I prefer dance music that isn't quantized, regimented, and super mixed down to the nano-perfect spot. I'm a believer in the fact that music doesn't have to sound professional to sound great. Mastering engineers hate me.' The 'Brother / Sister EP', due on June 10th, is a master class in rough and ready house music - the A-side is a brutal, hook-fuelled rhythm that has already been destroying clubs in Saul's own sets, while the flipside - born of the same rugged percussion - is balanced with an undeniable beauty and melodic character that many contemporaries would struggle to pull off. Listeners of his XLR8R podcast from February this year will recognise 'Brother,' and after much speculation will be glad to know of its imminent release, while both sides of the 12 also received their first radio airplay in Aus boss Will Saul's recent BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix.

Solid Grooves favourite Blackchild is the next to land on Hot Creations with the Groove Dealer EP. The three-track release serves up heavy-duty club rollers, moulding Blackchild’s early influences with a contemporary flare.

Title track Groove Dealer kicks off proceedings with a heavy sub-bass and choppy hats as melodic brass tones add the key ingredient. Siempre is next up, following suit with elevating brass notes, punchy percussion and dreamy synths. Rounding off the EP, Inmydreams is a deep and dark cut built for the late-night hours, ignited by the blissful and hypnotic vocals.

Originally from a small island in the gulf of Naples called Ischia, Blackchild is the artist name for Italian artist Gennaro Filisdeo. Heavily influenced by his father’s record collection, he grew up listening to Hip-Hop, RnB, Disco and old school House music. He began to produce at the age of eighteen, but it was in 2019 that Blackchild joined the Solid Grooves roster, which led him to play at statement venues and festivals such as Printworks London, Auditorium Torremolinos Malaga and ADE Festival. 2020 saw chart success with his track Sexy Thing going straight to #2 in the Beatport Top 10 Tech House Chart and #5 in the Overall Top 10 Chart. 2021 looks set to continue in the same direction with a busy release schedule on the way.

After blessing a special intimate Utopia Records dance in a North London loft with his iconic romantic and deep Italian House sound, pioneer Carlo Troja aka Don Carlos returned to Milan and sent the music to launch Alex Bradley's new 'Utopia Club Tracks' dance music sub-label.

Title track Tuono or 'Thunder' sees Mr Carlos bringing the original Mediterranean and Latin dance sound onto a modern page. The inspiration is clear, the trademark percussion of Vincent Montana forged with the spaghetti baselines of legendary film-score writer Piero Umiliani together with Carlos's trademark paradise house sound that lets you imagine the 3 in harmony, in a studio together.

Working from the blueprint of early house releases of a single track with multiples mixes, the A2 sees mythic underground London DJ and label boss Bradley team up with legendary UK house producer Neil Tolliday and guitarist Ollie Marks for a Utopia Sound Project mix entitled 'Tears of Petrichore'.
More than just an edit, a whole new Balearic house take is formed using just the pads and chords from the original with new bass, percussions and Marks' Pink Floyd-esque guitar warbles on top for a blissed out journey into romance.
The 12" is rounded off by a Tribal fix by Carlos himself, big room moves that draw you in and keeps you there...dreaming of better days...
Finally, the re-rub strips it back and locks the groove.

Salute Don Carlos.
