Silverlining - Simulacra LP 2x12"
SVDA1000
Silverlining Dubs
2x12inch19.02.202119.FEB.21

HouseDeepTechTechnoTechno

Celebrating his 25th year as a producer and DJ, London's Silverlining announces his first ever double-vinyl artist project, 'Simulacra', a collection of emotive yet powerful body music fresh from his South London studio. Known for his diverse and bassline-driven grooves, this work sees him straddle between the stripped-back house and techno that we have come to adore on his acclaimed Silverlining Dubs series, with eclectic forays into territories of electronic musicality unexplored by him until now. Adopting a similar analogue workflow and kit-list to that used for his 1990s productions, the collection retains his trademark sonic brilliance, whilst demonstrating, once again, that his ideas are far from running out.

Subtly interwoven into its mood and lyrics, the album explores themes of dependence on misrecognised digital identities, and the importance of real world tangibility. For the album's artwork, Silverlining has collaborated with celebrated print-making artist, Leonie Bradley, whose work explores similar themes.

This versatile collection of new music from Silverlining caters both for tasteful record collectors, and deeper DJs alike, with its extensive yet consistent spectrum of flavours.

Teleseen - Exposures EP
HEIST049
Heist Recordings
12inch05.10.202005.OCT.20

HouseDeepNu Disco

Over the years, the sonic world of Heist has grown into a place where energetic house, live instruments and worldly electronics move together in the most natural way. We're very proud of the fact that we can showcase artists that cross boundaries or simply create their own universe, while keeping a strong connection with the identity of the label.

Our next release, the 'Exposures EP' by Teleseen, fits perfectly into this aesthetic. Teleseen is the main project of nomadic DJ, producer and multi-instrumentalist Gabriel Cyr and draws influence from deep house, afro house, samba, batucada as well as the experimentalism and sound system cultures of his home town NYC. His sound leans heavily on polyrhythmic programming and he's nothing short of a synth wizard. His 'Exposures EP' features 3 originals, and a remix by Berlin based Italian house guru Black Loops.

The record features a number of collaborators and recordings of various instruments, ranging from percussive sections to synths and guitar. This live approach to electronic music is one that is deeply rooted into Gabriel's work. His upcoming release on Soundway as 'Thaba' is another good example of this approach and also shows how diverse his sounds really is.

The title track is a thrilling synth affair with tribal-like chants running through a vocoder. The combination of handclaps, crunchy synths and steady drums make for a thrilling afro house track that hints towards early motor city electronics.

Black Loops is known for his deep grooves and built his fame with his releases on Freerange, Pets and Shall not Fade. His take on 'Exposures' sees him upping the tempo to a pacey 130 bpm, where an introvert vibe of reverbed hits and bleeps take you into full dream mode. He expertly chops up the original into a contemporary track that fits somewhere between high tempo tech-house and minimalistic deephouse.

On the flip we get to hear more of the sonic world Teleseen has to offer. 'Dekalb' is a track that seems impossible to box into a genre. Its mood is set by a lovely section of free-flowing Rhodes chords and the chopped vocals and open synth- bass give the track a whole new feel. It is that ballsy electronic edge combined with dreamy textures and live rhythms that give 'Dekalb' its unique vibe.

The final track of the EP -'Transfer'- takes us down to a mid-tempo percussive workout with a balearic twist. The steady electronic groove and the free flowing guitar take you to yet another corner of Teleseen's beautifully crafted universe.

Enjoy the music and play it loud!

Yours Sincerely,
Lars & Maarten

Marc Rapson - Dark VS Light LP (2x12")
FUTRLP01
Futuristica Music
2x12inch25.02.202225.FEB.22

HouseDeepHip-HopR & BSoulDownbeatHip-Hop

Marc Rapson is a man of many dimensions. From rocking BBC's Maida Vale and Later with Jools Holland as part of Ben Westbeech's touring band, to releasing stellar re-edits of Marvin Gaye and Sarah Vaughan to the acclaim of Gilles Peterson, Marc has spent the last decade quietly building a following amongst those in the know. Dark vs Light seamlessly blends crunchy, low swung Hip Hop beats with Marc's jazz inflected Fender Rhodes and synth sounds. Not one to be confined to a singular style, Marc also fires up the sampler for tracks such as 'Click Loud', combining surgical chop skills with live instrumentation. Dark vs Light is the product of a mind that grew up on Ahmad Jamal as much as A Tribe Called Quest: the jazz pianist with a passion for raw beats. This first time on double vinyl complete edition includes all tracks from the now out of print EP along side additional bonus cuts from the original sessions featuring MC Replife as well as a dope cover of a classic Roy Ayers track. A great way to help celebrate Futuristica’s 15th year!

Concealed Sounds

HouseDeepMinimal

For the 9th release on Concealed we offer you the debut EP from DDALMH, a mysterious Copenhagen based artist. Daniel Lyons (as his real name is) may be known to people on the scene as the owner of the well respected Lomidhigh imprints, but his music production have been kept in secret until recently. Daniel's sound is a very deep, unpretentious and dubbed out kind of House Music.
On the flip side we invited Thomas Melchior to make a remix, he turns 'Sun' into a timeless tripped out Deep House tune that will hypnotise any dance floor in the early morning hours.

Fede Lijtmaer - Forever... But Now EP
HLN-07
Helena
12inch29.08.201929.AUG.19

HouseDeepChicago

Helena returns with its 7th release, this time from Uruguayan alchemist Fede Lijtmaer.

Each of the three originals shows off his flair and musicality, be it the switch-up drum patterns and delicate keys of 'Só Um Momento', the more deliberate swagger of 'Serendipia' or the mutating synth line that weaves its aleatoric way through 'Somewhere' – everywhere shades of Steve Pickton, Casey Tucker, and other early UK proponents of the Detroit sound.

Finally, compatriot and friend Z@P remixes 'Somewhere', taking familiar but unexpected elements (Chicago house drums and Mathew Jonson synths) and turning them into something entirely modern.

O Yuki Conjugate - Sunchemical
OM46
Optimo Music
12inch23.04.202123.APR.21

HouseDeepSlow

O Yuki Conjugate have been active since 1982. Initially embracing Post Punk currents, they evolved into early pioneers of Fourth World music and still very active havung never stopped evolving. In the mid 90s their music briefly crossed over with the fringes of the club scene as their “Equator” album became something of an ambient classic. Signed to ultra cult Dutch label Staalplaat, a label as far removed from the club world as one might imagine, they nevertheless decided to release a club friendly 12” with a remix from Charles Webster that became an E Music classic. Perhaps the least known of his remixes, this ten-minute epic take on their ambient masterpiece will melt the hardest heart.

The original Staalplaat 12” is almost impossible to find so Optimo Music is delighted to make it available again in a slightly reconfigured version. Three divine Sunchemical takes from OYC and a Charles Webster remix that a quarter of a century later sounds as if it might just have been created. Comes in a full colour sleeve designed by Andrew Beltran.

Deo & Z-man - No Bullshit 2x12"
HFNDISK09
HFN Disko
2x12inch03.12.201303.DEC.13

HouseDeepHip-HopDownbeat

With their debut album on Hamburg's taste making hafendisko, Deo & Z-Man proceed their research in contemporary electronic music beyond stylistic boundaries and present a wide-ranging lucky bag of songs. The Italo-rooted brothers melt influences from modern House music, HipHop, Electronica and even jazzy elements into a fresh and life-affirming total work of art. And here it is in all its glory - 'No Bullshit' . With a healthy dose of tongue-in-cheek humour and a seemingly endless supply of fresh ideas, Deo & Z-Man might have pulled one of the most creative albums of the year. Effortlessly gliding between wigged out house for the dancefloor, synthy space weirdness, hip-hop infused beats and twisted, smoked-out electro pop - 'No Bull-shit' is a rare thing, a collection of esoteric and eclectic influences that hang together perfectly as a proper album. The boys have long since created their own special vibe through their well received singles, live performances and DJ sets - mixing musical knowledge, party rocking skills and a sense of fun that is all too often lacking these days. Even more rare is to capture that magic in the studio over the course of an album. Yet 'No Bullshit', as the name cheekily suggests, nails it. Listening to the album it's easy to see how Deo & Z-Man cut their teeth with HipHop - tracks like 'Tamastar Santini' (feat Janos), 'Two Blue Bros' and 'YRUAG' reveal a background of beats and rhymes that infuses the whole vibe of the album. Equally at home in the club, recent single 'XTC', 'Chopped Memories' and 'Tales of Love' are lessons in leftfield club dynamics - deep, musical grooves that hint at the brothers' leg

Blue Vinyl

Surging Italian DJ and producer Dimmish debuts on LOCUS as he drops his ‘Planet Zero’ EP.

An emerging name within both house and more minimal territories, touching down on labels such as No Art, Solid Grooves, AVOTRE, Deeperfect and Moscow Records, Italian DJ and producer Dimmish continues to emerge and grow as one of the scene’s most heavily tipped rising artists of recent years. Having received heavy support from FUSE boss Enzo Siragusa amongst a host of leading names, he now readies his first EP on LOCUS as he delivers his four-track ‘Planet Zero’ EP on the label to open March.

Opening the EP in style, title cut ‘Planet Zero’ welcomes the long-awaited arrival of one of the Italians most requested productions to date as slinking hats and chunky bass grooves meet subtle vocals and the tracks unmistakable lead line. Up next, ‘Hello Panic’ introduces skittering electronics and laser sharp drum shots, whilst ‘Stellar’ ups the energy as sweeping synths, icy hats and rumbling low ends combine. Shaping up proceedings, ‘Espresso’ sees things stripped back to reveal a snaking, groove-heavy closing production perfect for late-nights and early-hours alike.

Eddie Leader - There's A Time EP
HUDD063
Hudd Traxx
12inch01.03.202101.MAR.21

HouseDeep

A triumphant return for Eddie Leader and his proudly homegrown, fiercely independent imprint, Hudd Traxx. Revelling in the continuous cross pollination of dance music between the US & the UK, the label’s meticulously curated output, undeniably strong signings and creatively pertinent style has made it a go-to stable for house music lovers across the globe over its 15 year inception.

Eddie’s first solo offerings for the label for five years, following on from inspired and club-ready collaborations with Chez Damier, Tomson & the Classic label. Loosing none of the dancefloor functionality championed across its previous releases, Hudd 063 enlists the vocal talents of Alexander East on lead track – “Get You Alone” – a sparkly, buoyant and amorous mid-session track that drives deep through wupp’ing pads and a direct, kick-heavy beat. And while the seductively
lucid vocals of East attempt to coax you onto the mattresses, this beast refuses to leave the club, bucking hard right thru till the end. There’s a tasty ‘instrumental’ handily included in the digital package too, just in case Alexander’s vox gets you too hot under the collar…

“Respect” follows, leading with an elementary but nonetheless poignant vocal refrain. With a tuff, almost New Jersey energy to it, highly advanced kinetics power this bad boy forward; the well-tested system of vintage drum boxes working overtime alongside detuned keys, space-age synth swirls and a rugged, box busting bassline.

Nods to Peacefrog, Rick Wade and Glenn Underground adorn, “Drum March” – a track so shuffled to buggery you’ll be forgiven for falling over on first listen. Littered with expertly programmed shakers, woodblocks and swung snares whilst finely decorated with some exquisite lead lines and a complimenting patina of optimistic organ notes. The very essence of deep house musica –unostentatious & deeply grooving.

“There’s A Time” hovers between its solid bass and drum foundations via a taut and scintillating synth array as an evocative speech is mined from recent events. A unifying message wrapped up for the dancefloor when the whole world needs it most, it’s again characterized by an unbeatable grasp of rhythm utilizing gripping, Chicago-indebted drum sequencing.

Quite obviously crafted with a virtuosic yet humble hand; these rooted house cuts devoid of superfluity and languishing in pure body motion are exactly what the town crier will be ordering when the doors of our dancing establishments open once more. Feasts for the feet whilst consciously acknowledging the very corner stones of house music’s underground, embryonic beginnings. Top drawer tackle from start to finish.

Etat Solide (K Hand) - Think About It
UK001
UK HOUSE RECORDS
12inch09.02.201509.FEB.15

HouseDeepTechTechnoTechno

Another slamming cut selected from Kelli Hand's impressive discography, this time she dons her Etat Solide pseudonym for some raw, no nonsense, jacking Detroit Techno. With 4 mixes to choose from "Think About It" is an essential weapon for any DJ worth their salt. Released on the mysteriously named UK House Records and boasting the text - "Special thanks to Underground Resistance", mixed by Mike "Agent-X" Clark and featuring the engineering skills of one Robert "The Vision" Hood you know this is some serious business.

"Think About It" captures the early essence of Detroit Techno, it's nagging, raw bass-line and backwards drums sound like they are about to lose control any second, the record sounds somewhat unhinged and is all the better for it! This style is often imitated but never bettered, pure %100 dance-floor energy from 1990, rare and essential!

Released with the permission of and in conjunction with Kelli Hand and Acacia Records, Detroit USA.
Re-mastered, re-pressed and re-released for 2015's dance-floors and record bags.

LTD repress !

It's game time ladies and gents - and our next release is here. To celebrate the eighth record, we have a special white label affair coming up from none other than HDSN, who passionately ripped the heart and soul out of three new tracks once again. Woven together with organic, electronic textures but also displaying an undoubted soulful quality, The Game represents a sound that is born out of a deep love and appreciation for the music.

Indeed, the title track is definitely the peak time bomb on the record. The track is wrapped up in a kicking groove, powerful drums, a driving baseline and nice looped vocals - all combined to make for a sure crowd-mover, which is gonna throw any crowd into an uncontrollable frenzy as soon as the deep bass and soulful sounds blast through the speakers. “The Power” really encompasses what house music is all about: it's a feeling of unity, no matter your race or sexuality. It’s pure positivity, with its roots in gospel and soul.

The hypnotizing Rhodes line and the blistering vocals provide the listener with a real chance to rediscover the lightheartedness lost in the chaos of modern life. Positive and infectious, this one is impossible not to love. Elegant in its simplicity, it's pure and (unlike much contemporary music), not overproduced. “The G-Code” can best be described as one big trip down memory lane, an anthem the hood danced to in the past. A tune that pulls no punches, it is packed with heavy swung beats and deep and sleazy rap samples, a move which grants the release an undoubted hip-hop swagger. A limited edition release, HDSN's latest iOS definitely one worth cherishing.

limited edition 10" vinyl, serial numbered
On the A side of their - Lovecream EP' Schlepp Geist & Benotmane give a very seductive proposition and at the same time they created an irresistible mantra: - My head is burning, you make my machine clean, my love cream is waiting, so let's become a dream team.' If this is not convincing to move your feet, the B side will do. Because here hides the next ear catcher. - Stuck in my Head' is to be taken literally. Simon Jinadu's fascinating and soulful vocal performance burns itself into your mind with the same strength as on his guest appearance for Deep House icon Jimpster. As usual - Lovecream EP' comes as a 10inch vinyl release in a limited edition and numbered by hand. As a digital bonus track, but no less valuable for that, Rampue gives this release a more hypnotic and dreamy component. It's really too sad that there's not enough space on these vinyl records.

The next Yoshitoshi Classic is here and it's a heavy one - Dino Lenny's "I Feel Stereo." Anyone on the scene in 2001, when this monster tune was originally released, remembers its pulsing rhythms and ear-catching vocal hook, now given the remix treatment.

First up, the Red Axes boys deliver their silky smooth brand of minimal house with a variety of distorted arpeggio riffs, futuristic chimes, and other left-field sounds that make their remix truly unique.

Next, Steve Lawler crafts a badass, bassline-driven house track that pummels with all the energy of the original.

Closing it off, up-and-comer Frankyeffe, serves up some impeccably produced techno for big, loud rooms. The Italian phenom's mix is absolute savagery.

*repress*

Up next on Phonica White is Brooklyn based artist Justin Cudmore. He is a well-known DJ thanks to his memorable sessions at The Bunker among other New York and many of the best clubs worldwide as well as teaming up with Mike Servito and Gunnar Haslam as Hot Mix DJ collective.
As well as DJing, Justin has always been a fan and creator of dance music, he started being part of Chicago's underground scene, deepening his appreciation for the classic House and Acid that you can still feel in these new tracks. This new release follows in the wake of 'Forget it', his last celebrated EP released by The Bunker though in our minds his sound has progressed yet again, sounding fuller, faster and rounder. 'Twisted Love' gets straight to the point, with firm and strong percussion joined to a fickle acid bass line. In addition to this, Justin weaves in some House-flavoured vocals to keep you hooked until the end of the track. A certified floor-filler of a track. On the flip is 'About to Burst', a track that starts with a powerful kick drum and grows with new emerging elements; punchy hi-hats coming and going in key moments and a simple keyboard arpeggio that added to an Acid bass line catches you instantly. Justin's new EP is unapologetically aimed at the dancefloor. Its primary influence may be Detroit-flavoured Techno yet you'll also find Chicago House and Acid elements floating over its powerful backbone, all combining in devastating way, primed for club use.
Artwork as always is supplied by the talented Pedro Carvalho de Almeida.

Finally, we have I See You, Mara, a sumptuous blend of old and new, with disco rhythms and bass riffs seamlessly integrated with synth arpeggios and housey organ melodies. The perfect way to end any disco-house set.

RHYTHM PLATE - It's Not An Album It's A Doublepack EP

Pressed For Time
2x12inch13.07.202013.JUL.20

HouseDeepTech

Rhythm Plate are absolute powerhouses when it comes to delivering top-notch tech house, and they're back once again on Pressed For Time with this sizable payload of classy joints. There's a timeless quality to this stuff, whether it's the late-night swirl of "Sacrement" or the choppy, quirked-up groove of "Every Kind Of People With Any Kind Of Soul". Out of time and out of mind, the Plate just bring the kind of satisfaction to club music that could launch a thousand sessions. For the late night crew, for the mid-morning rollers and the sophisticated toe-tappers in between, sink your ear-teeth into this generous serving but whatever you do, don't call it an album.

YOSH - Destruction

HouseDeepGarageElectronicaBeatsBass

New Jersey's Toothgrinder have been active since 2010, hitting their stride with their debut album Nocturnal Masquerade in 2016 and following it up sharply with Phantom Amour. Quite rightly their breakthrough album, it saw the band amp up all aspects of their sound, from the powerful pop-minded harmonizing to the hyper-sheen of the guitars. Embracing an electronic attitude to production that adds a hi-tech finish to their full-fat, emo-tinged songs, it's a perfect document of a band with a lot to say and an irrepressible energy. Now repressed dude to popular demand, the album once again takes up three sides, with the fourth given over to an etching.

Bodeler - Mandatory Trip
HHS002
Heavy House Society
12inch27.11.201927.NOV.19

HouseDeepNu Disco

Sidney Charles's Heavy House Society keeps up the momentum after a head turning first EP with a second sizzler, this time from Bodeler with a remix from Russian talent Tripmastaz.

Argentina's Bodeler mixes up minimal, house, funk and deepness on labels like Sintope and Unique Trax. He is a master of driving club grooves with real atmosphere and proves that here.

Mandatory Trip is the single and has a slick, bobbling bassline that burrows deep as jazzy hi hats spin up top and sci-fi motifs peel off the groove. It is a tripped out tune of the highest order, and really hits hard.

Hailing from an industrial region known as the Detroit of Russia and releasing on Cocoon, Minus and Desolat, Tripmastaz is a contemporary giant. His remix breaks up the beats, injects some funk and raw percussive energy and takes you on a real dance floor adventure.

This is another fantastic EP that perfectly lives up to Heavy House Society's mission of serving up physical tracks for the floor.

Darius Syrossian - Unnamed 3
MM002
Moxy Muzik
12inch18.04.201918.APR.19

HouseDeepElectroDiscoTech

Unnamed 3 is the 2nd release on Darius Syrossian's Moxy Muzik label. Following on from 'Dance of the Shaman' this original by Darius Syrossian is a Disco flavoured tough house number with deep sub bass driving the track forward & crisp disco stabs littering the track in all the right places.

For those that were feeling the vinyl only 'Funkflex' track by Darius Syrossian which sold out in 9 days, you will 100% feel this one also. The name Unnamed 3 was given to this track by Darius because when Eats Everything asked if Darius had any new tracks to send over Darius had literally finished three new tracks in the studio & they were all still untitled, and the files were sent over as unnamed 1, 2 & 3.

Eats Everything then played this one on his BBC RADIO 1 show & announced it as Unnamed 3 & the title has stuck since, with lots of people asking about the release date after hearing it on Eats Everything's show.

The remixes on this e.p come from Christian Burkhardt & Tommy Vicari Jnr. Christians Burkhardt's remix is on a more minimal vibe with slick drums & pounding kick drum that give the track a peak time set feel, but this remix retains the disco flavours enough to add some spice to the remix.

Tommy Vicari Jnr's remix is a lush deep house affair with layered pads and hypnotic chords which give the track a dreamy feel, this is one of those trademark Tommy Vicari Jnr productions that oozes class, and its one for those that like real House true music.

Fio Fa - You Think EP w/ D Tiffany Remix
RADIANTLOVE000
Radiant Records
12inch05.08.202005.AUG.20

HouseDeepTech

The Berlin-based collective Radiant Love is responsible for a luminous bimonthly rave roaming throughout the city for the past year or so. Naturally, its first release as a label, the 3-track EP You Think by Fio Fa, represents not just the sound of this party but its infectious mood, a flammable affect.

Fio Fa’s productions are brisk, incredibly playful surfaces: they are structured by continuity more than dramatic builds and drops, and the tracks themselves are composed from a few honed elements – a sculpted kick, a bright and chiming synth-line, some chopped and processed vocal debris. The title cut begins and builds upon a cheeky melodic line, picking up punch in the first 3 minutes. At that point, however, the song gives way to a hurtling depth, as a swirling pad joins the mix, and “You Think” begins to sound like the hottest party in a wind tunnel you’ve ever attended.

The EP’s B-Side kicks off with with “Kayaki”, a contagious shuffle of cowbell and triangle, stutter clap and a splinter of MC vocal. Again, an airy synth merges into the rhythm (steam, this time). It’s not until a line of jazzy 303 keys enters the fray, more than halfway through the 8-minute track, that the groove is felt in its fullness – testament to this producer’s patience and verve. To even bring up “verve” begs the question of D. Tiffany, whose remix of “You Think” rounds out the EP.

Given the D. Tiffany treatment, Fio Fa’s bright and sweeping loop becomes a series of omens barely resting on a wobbling bassline.

The drum programming possesses her signature swing; simply, it hits. And despite or in light of the track’s hard edge, it still might make you smile – the snatches of melody are loopy and impish, and the whole production is animated by an immensely well-tuned
playfulness (which may be the patron spirit, if not the sound, of Radiant Love).

Hiatt dB - Palimpsest
RS034
Rhythm Section International
12inch17.07.202017.JUL.20

HouseDeep

From the backwaters of New Orleans, founder of the Mystery Zone imprint and parties Hiatt dB bursts onto the international scene with glorious technicolour debut EP ‘Palimpsest’, marking Rhythm Section's first recruit from the US of A. Having grown up in the Gulf Coast’s San Antonio, Hiatt made the move to New Orleans in 2015 with his heart set on exporting the sound of the Gulf South to the global discourse. Here, newly exposed influences from the Mediterranean to West Africa, Brazil through to the Caribbean motivated him to begin making dance music and performing as a percussionist and DJ.

True to the drum city, Hiatt doesn’t let up on the rhythmic assault. From joyful piano stabs and dizzying percussive crescendos in ‘Sun Spell’ to the intricate snare rudiment of ‘Palimpsest’; the sizzling, hypnotic ‘Big Easy’ stylings of ‘6 O’Clock Rock’ to basking in the euphoric, sparkling breaks of ‘Everyday Break’. It’s the warm afterglow you need as the journey of the record comes to it’s triumphant conclusion.”

Lord Of The Isles - Skylark
ESP039B
ESP INSTITUTE

HouseDeepElectroElectronica

Inc. Linkwood / Tourist Kid Remixes

We often find there are two types of artists. One internalises their process, endlessly perfecting their work while finding the endpoint a massive hurdle, and in turn producing immaculate yet very little art. The other is continuously inspired, so full of ideas they can barely work fast enough to articulate them all.

The art becomes by-product of their larger trajectory and not just a collection of endpoints. Lord Of The Isles a.k.a. Neil McDonald seems to be both. He’s always in an evolving state of process where work is constantly shed to make way for a new layer growing beneath, yet he holds his cards closely, cherrypicking when and with whom he releases that work into the world.

Neil is simply prolific. In 2016 he shared with us a vast catalog of unheard beauty, which over a long span of time was collaboratively shaped into his debut album In Waves. In the span between the album release and now, Neil has performed on a number of ESP Institute label showcases from Los Angeles to Amsterdam to Berlin, and released a few efforts with our peers, but all throughout he’s been holed up working on his sophomore album sigh.

Though patience has become a sort of meditation during this global upsidedown, we couldn’t help but squeeze out an interim release to uphold the fantasy. So, four years after the release of In Waves, we’re proud to present a very long-winded follow-up single for the album’s monster track Skylark.

Accompanied by a previously unreleased album cut entitled OmniMulti, the single also touts two glorious remixes; a sunkissed version by fellow esteemed Scotsman Linkwood and an atmospheric dismantling by Melbourne hopeful Tourist Kid. You see, good things come to those who wait.

Various - Founding Fathers
SPLX2
Superlux Records
12inch12.06.202012.JUN.20

HouseDeepMinimalTech

Superlux 002 is a brand new VA EP which includes tracks from label owners Mike Gill and Nick Gynn, as well as some of the emerging Superlux family; Thoma Bulwer and OMCSY. Taking a slightly different direction from SPLX001, this EP is a classic house record; featuring four original four-to-the-floor tracks.

“Superlux is all about pushing quality art, without taking ourselves too seriously. Our key defining factor is our chew-the-fat mentality and how we strive to throw out the rulebook, mash genres, and produce seminal tracks that you will pick up again and again.

Throughout the years, dance music has headed away from its origins into a new direction where most hits are forgotten within weeks and the standard for anthemic club tracks has taken a nosedive. Superlux Records are about restoring the order and curating a culture of music based on quality and longevity. Instead of vying for the obvious artists, we dig deeper to discover the true talent we believe fit our philosophy and will
stand the test of time with us. We're all about finding the freshest work to go alongside our own tasty productions without skimping on quality.

The tripped-out artwork by Charlie McFarley depicts the Chicago taxi that Mike Gill was in when he recorded the driver talking about his love of Jazz and Hip Hop for the opening track K. Robertson (Founding Fathers) which is named after the driver. Up next is N-Gynn's track 1998 which is an epic, psychedelic, transcendental house cut. Thoma Bulwer who also mixed and mastered the EP, delivers his powerful and chunky groover Tuel for the B-Side to go with OMCSY's Moody Matt , which closes off the EP with his laid back spin on a classic vocal house record.
