The world-renowned Crosstown Rebels add the third instalment to their annual Spirits compilation, an album which has become established for delivering some of the biggest hits that have been heard in Damian Lazarus’ sets over the past year, from some of the most esteemed artists in electronic music. Let your mind become absorbed in this collection of diverse and exciting tracks.

The man himself Damian Lazarus opens the release, setting the tone with the haunting hypnosis of Ergot which contains snippets of an ancient Chilean revolution song, relevant to the current political climate. Next up Guti & Fosky collaborate once again in fine style to produce a smoky, late-night atmosphere, with the moody bassline and expertly crafted beat of Da Drumz. Side B and legendary producer Martin Buttrich combines driving tripped out rhythms with warm surging pads, creating a great musical tonic during Slow Down. Denney & James Dexter then deliver a peak time monster in the form of Transcend.

Next up Harry Romero adds a touch of romance on It’s You with an unravelling rhythm of heartfelt synth. Dennis Cruz’s Mother Earth follows up with striking vocals playing off one another with soaring brass and strings. More DJ ammunition is provided by Piem on Freak Out where a familiar looped sample is manipulated to ignite dance floor euphoria. Finally the bounce of Adonis Rivera’s XX Acid will have you hooked from the outset, as you would expect from the title, razor-sharp acid awakens every sense in this heady piece. Another great Spirits compilation to add to the esteemed series.

Pierre Codarin returns to his self titled label with three originals and a well sort after rework of a classic 90s dance track by Ruff Driverz

Silvio s Dream kicks things off in a floaty fashion, weaving gorgeous synths with padded percussion and distorted vocal zaps before Loro is Gold picks up the energy utilising an acidic, funk-fuelled line, ethereal atmospherics and jingling effects. On the flip, Codarin reworks UK chart hit Don t Stop by Ruff Driverz, deploying staccato rave-like chords and a driving bass groove until Late Tales finishes up with rattling drums that lie beneath spacey melodies which ooze psychedelia and otherworldliness.

Melbourne’s Love Above Records debut release is a 4 track Various Artists 12”. Featured on the release are label directors ​Ryan Berkeley​ (Love Above Records, Houses In Motion) and ​Dawn Again​ (Love Above Records, Blind Jacks Journey, Rothmans, Porn Wax.. ) alongside fellow Melbourne natives ​DJ Heure​ (Distant Hawaii, All My Thoughts) and ​Norachi ​(Butter Sessions). On the A side we jump straight into Ryan Berkeley’s “Round The Ride”, a slab of club ready house music. A fantastic, earworm of a vocal is laid over a hypnotic groove that builds and builds until it all combines in a full-blown, hands-in-the-air, 3 am weapon. Norachi’s “Ffffred” takes a different approach. A woozy concoction that is reminiscent of 90’s tech house. It combines a kaleidoscopic array of elements that all whirl around each other to create a great afterhours trip. On the B-Side is DJ Heure’s “HUH”, an infectious cut of boom-bap influenced breakbeat house. Some gorgeous chords, set over a jumbling, throwback rhythmic groove. Think Andres meets Regelbau. And the final track is Dawn Again’s “Wuthering Heights”, a warm, fuzzy, chuggy deep house jam. An undeniably pumping bassline set amidst a bunch of jazzy chords and whispering, seductive vocals.

We're celebrating the 20th anniversary of the original release Spatial Relationships EP by Dan Curtin! These tracks definitely showcase the signature sound and style of Curtin with jazzy and deep melodies, intricate drum programming, and his iconic arrangements. Headlining the package is a showdown of Crosstown Rebels stars, with the red-hot Jamie Jones and Art Department each turning in massive renditions. Jamie's mix is a full-blown, driving party anthem, while Azari's fellow Torontonians elevate the pop flavours with a more laid-back approach.

Jamie Clarke is a producer, musician and DJ. His label Either// hosts his recent work. Its first release, ‘Mirror Talk’, features remixes by Pablo Mateo, Casanova, and Philippa with early support from Tensnake, Ame, Piem, Joyce Muniz, Alinka, DJ T, Acid Pauli, Gene Farris bc, Severino… You can find earlier work appearing on diverse labels of favoured artists. “The Gene Krupa of electronic music” an admirer commented of his style: rolling, syncopated, digressive but ultimately melodic. Now, late 80s, a dark Detroit basement, eyes shut, the pound and sweep of that sound - you’re there.

Residencies at home in Dublin include The Pod, Hospital and his own UP!, the renowned rooftop party. He regularly guests across the continent and has projects in development in the US. In recent years the Reykjavik music scene has been a second home where Kaffebarrinn is a favourite haunt.

Deeply addicted to Disco, Soul and funky rare gems, Rubents Aka DjFrsh brings his raw groove from Buenos Aires and joins the Ondulé crew with a massive first EP.

Milan based Take It EasyAlabel and party is back. This third drop comes from label owners Dirty Channels, Bugsy and DJLMP with the addition of the historical italian dj and Paradise Pizza's label owner Memoryman aka Uovo. After their big success "Watchin Out" and "Catch Me", Dirty Channels open the EP with an Afro-influeced sample stomper followed up byAan Afrobeat vocal tool by DJLMP. "I Wonder" open the B side with some crackly Detroit atmosphere by Memoryman aka Uovo. "Pomiri Dan" completes the set, percussive sample stomper by Bugsy on his first appearance on the label.

PULP is inaugurating this year's summer season with a lengthy affair by a certain Barry Helafonte called "One Night'. Not much is known about the artist that delivers the 12th installment for the PULP series. Nevertheless, production wise the sound is mature, and the drum machines sound like they are being hit by someone with vast experience. The balanced production quality of "Keys to The City" is prominent. A squelchy bassline is dictating the rhythm whilst washes of pads and an outlandish lead come together to form a dripping whole.

Sometimes you produce a track with nothing but a dancefloor and a good sound system in mind. "Twelve Inch Jams" is offering you just that - strictly two A side tunes for the floor cut at 45 revolutions per minute. Jazz & Milk pays tribute to this classy release format with their new 12" vinyl series. Each record comes in a hand silk-screened printed and stamped sleeve!

The dreamteam of the highly successful first installment (JAMS001) teamed up again to share their love for raw and sample-based house music tunes produced on the MPC. Label artist Sam Irl and the man behind Jazz & Milk, Dusty never fail when it comes to layering colorful sample fragments and enriching them with raw beats and deep synthesizer chords.

"Broken Spell" starts off with a super moody atmosphere that slowly opens up until it reaches its energetic peak with bright synth stabs and a smooth bassline before colorful arpeggios are drifting the track into other spheres. "Love Prelude" has a rather dreamy vibe but its deep chord progressions and rough bass drums and claps create a truly unique contrast and a hypnotic atmosphere on top of it, while a later incoming bouncy bassline and dubby sample parts eventually pull you in cosmic dimensions!

For the 3rd release we welcome upcoming Argentinian talent Santierri, who comes with 4 deep driving house tracks filled with emotions and groove as you already expected.

Detroit's ALTON MILLER is an underrated master of deep & soulful music. He offers a double LP of authentically special compositions. DJ-Kicks start 2018 in fine style with another vital entry into their long running series. The latest comes from Swiss DJ and producer Deetron , and features an exclusive solo track as well as exclusive collaborations with Steve Spacek, Jinadu and Jamie Lidell.

Just short of their milestone tenth release, Haŵs pulls up the inimitable DJ Chupacabra (and alias of Davide Piras) for his debut. ‘Yard Club’ takes the intimacy of hazy, expectant dancefloors and transfers it into four subtle shades that demonstrate the understated power of the warmup track – or the after-hours wind-down.

Lounging gently into focus, the A-side’s ‘Chandone’ is a poised house number with bobbing synths and a retro acid feel. ‘Turbo’ continues on this tip, except this time there’s more syncopations, tight kicks and a husky vocal sample; each one is an ideal candidate for those hushed, meditative moments in a club or saluting the new sunrise.

‘Modem’ from the B-side is classically playful Chupacabra, coupling a phone dial tone with a UKG stride and wacky, shuffling textures. To close, ‘Drip’ turns its head towards a feeling of glitched nostalgia and pallid colours, oozing out dreamy piano chords against a backdrop of sliced percussion.

It’s a neat pool of stripped-back UKG and house that brings up the same delicious sensations of a rollercoaster slowly approaching its descent or recovering from its fall. Where these tools get put into practice is totally up to imagination.

Cologne's Feines Tier is delivering their first label compilation, Including 23 exclusive tracks by a lot of friends and recent guests of their well known party series. Spreading vibes from slow chuggers and hip-shaking house to uncompromising techno - this is versatile electronic music for making the occasional narcotized convolutions of your brain feel much better. TJ Hertz's first original release since 2014's critically acclaimed Flatland LP comes in the form of Objekt #4, a continuation of his club-focused white label series and a tribute to the sadly now defunct Basement Q, a formative and beloved haunt in Berlin's Schöneberg district which quietly but profoundly shaped the musical identities of Hertz and several of his contemporaries until its final closure in 2012.

There really was no place quite like it,' remembers Hertz. Even in the later years when Joe (Call Super) and I would go, the sense of vitality was palpable, you had all these regulars who must all have been pushing 50 years old but still had more energy and passion than any 25 year olds we knew at the time. God only knows what it must've been like in the 80s when it opened. I think it changed a bit over the years but I know the horse fresco on the ceiling was there from the start and the custom-built soundsystem too. Bogdan, the sage and amiable but somehow kinda unhinged old Bulgarian dude that owned and built the place, he had this obsession with right angles, he hated them, said they were fascist or something. So everything was slightly askew and you never quite knew which direction was up, much less when he or Emil or one of the other residents were playing. It was disorientating and beautiful and in the midst of such an experience your eyes would offer your brain no valid explanation for the wonderful confusion of sound that your ears were reporting. Meanwhile this old, fabulous, rave-weathered crowd of 40 to 60 people would be gradually losing their shit, feet glued to the floor but bodies flailing as if caught in a hurricane. It was something else.'

The two tracks on Objekt #4 pay tribute to two of the many musical facets of Basement Q in its later years. A-side Needle and Thread' aims to condense several hours of a Thursday night in the Basement into 9 minutes and 26 seconds, embellishing a hypnotic rolling techno backbone with hyper-detailed atmospherics, enchanting melodies and tight, strident breakbeats. B-side Theme From Q' is Hertz's reinterpretation of a Basement Q anthem, owner and founder DJ Bogdan's own Love Inna Basement (Morning Dub)', which never saw an official release despite providing the soundtrack to over 20 years of late morning love-ins in the cellar underneath the Sattler & Söhne glue factory. Together, the two tracks offer an incomplete but nonetheless seductive illustration of one of the most idiosyncratic and overlooked clubs in Berlin's recent history.

''Light My Fire'' features an enchanting female vocalist over a bed of choice chords laid by Timeline's Jon Dixon. ''Next Step 4wrd'' on Side B has been tried and tested here in Detroit as well as Europe! A favorite of Timelines well received performances.

Belgian imprint Muzik & Friendz returns with the last release of 2019 featuring a 4 track various artist package with Joss Moog, Yusuke Yamamoto, Peletronic & Jakobin and Platzdasch & Dix.

With the forcus set on the deeper vibes this release kicks off with the A-side package of PlatzDasch & Dix’s ‘Pointillist’ a mellow workout sprinkled with melodies and deep vibes, followed by Peletronic & Jakobin ‘Etta Jamz’ a deep and soulful cut with a real dancefloor groove.
The B-side see’s Yusuke Yamamoto’s ‘Kick Ass’ combine an hypnotic pad, bumpy bass and punchy vocals with a wink to the old school, while Joss Moog ‘Oazar’ shows off his exquisite production skills with a grooving and bumping cut.

Another very special EP on Al Zanders A to Z label

Teaming up this time with vocalist Sheyi, for a one-off foray into Broken Beat territory.
The story of its inspiration begins with a trip to Notting Hill Record & Tape Exchange...
After asking for some broken beat, the assistant ventured a withering opinion that "won't be monotonous enough, try the house music section instead"
Turns out it was Phil Asher of Co-op fame - who, after establishing a genuine desire for said genre - sold Al a bunch of West London music which became the influence for this EP.

Allowing Sheyi to shine over a bare bones, syncopated rhythm track on the title cut and an equally stripped down 'Satisfy' Al amps up the groove, with the G.I.T dub, which was made for IG Culture's radio show.

Next up on Denis Sulta’s expertly selected vinyl label is a 3 track EP from 24 year-old Amsterdam DJ and producer Gimbrère.

Gimbrère’s love of dance music was sparked when he met 90s Dutch DJ legend Dimitri and caught his set at long-running Amsterdam techno festival Awakening at their 15th anniversary party in 2012. He shifted his focus from solely DJing to production of electronic (house)music from that point.

His debut single “A Thing” was released in 2018 and started to make waves with support from big names DJs, notably Denis and hitting top 5 on the Indie Dance and Nu Disco charts on Beatport.

His new 3 tracker presents 3 slices of epic 90s indebted dance goodness. “Breakbeat Passage” builds out an emotional, propulsive number from its booming break loop. The expert drum-programming and sample of “Makossa” has a pleasing French touch afro-house feel. Meanwhile the hi-energy filter house of “On My Mind” which recalls his debut “A Thing” is a guaranteed roof raiser.

Once upon a time “Miss Onion” made her way to Zanzibar, in search of real traditional African music.
Luckily, she got in touch with an Italian collective of people called Uhuru Republic, who were traveling throughout Kenya and Tanzania and collaborating with many local musicians, in studios and on stage.
One evening they were recording the Qanun, the main instrument in the Swahili culture, and Miss Onion participated the whole intensive session of music and Konyagi (the local most famous super alcoholic drink). She fell in love immediately with the Afro-Bass gem that was born, and decided to bring it back to Europe. Like this Miss Onion turned this particular piece into a sweet memory from a splendid trip to the heart of Africa.
We immediately shared Miss Onion’s love for this real tribal music experience called “Konyagi a Gogo”, fusing African instruments with electronic sounds and orchestral elements.
For the remix we put the stems in the expert hands of Rafael Aragon who greatly managed to give it an “even more clubbing” spin.
The result is a tasty 7” inches called “Veggie Tales Vol. 3”!!
