Santé's AVOTRE returns for its 58th release with 'Trust the Matrix' EP, two tracks from Mathias Kaden and a remix courtesy of Joey Daniel.

Hailing from Berlin, Kaden has released on an array of respected imprints, notably Freude am Tanzen and Vakant which shaped his early production and DJ career. Following a busy schedule of international touring, the Cocoon Ibiza resident now steps up for his AVOTRE debut.

Lead track 'Matrix' jumps immediately into peak-time pace, a winding bassline laced with jacking and hypnotic melodies. 'Trust' follows suite and is an unassuming dancefloor destroyer which is already a staple of label boss Santé's sets.

Rotterdam's Joey Daniel delivers a robust reinterpretation of 'Matrix' that rounds off this weighty package. Daniel's been a mainstay of the Holland house scene having carved his career via his renowned 300MPH parties.

F*CLR are hugely excited and honoured to present Moscow producer/DJ Mutenoise aka Alexander Bannikov and his masterful 'Midnight' EP - available on digital and limited 12 Inch, the vinyl has the bonus track, 'Northern Lights' is a Vinyl exclusive!

But meanwhile, back to the EP - kicking off with Mutenoise's original version of 'Midnight', rooted in the deep tradition of jazz dancers, has a toughness that crosses over and aligns itself to modern house with a warm, soulful vibe. On the remix tip, Ashley Beedle ramps up the drums with a nod towards the classic sound of 90's New York and MAW releases and along with the 'Stripped Back' + 'Mixers Delight' edits, he adds an extra element of remix goodness for the heads. 'Rules of Monopoly' is proper late night tunage, perfect for those 5am sets, with its crisp handclaps + percussion, rising chords underpinned by an unwavering bassline - house music at it's very best. And just to tease you - 'Northern Lights' (bonus vinyl only track) - another jazz soaked house track with beautiful chords, ephemeral vocal samples - echoes of downtown Moscow after dark....

Originally from far flung Western Siberia, Mutenoise gravitated towards Moscow and became an integral part of the vibrant Russian electronic dance scene rubbing shoulders with the likes of Lay Far and fellow F*CLR artist, Stan Serkin. Mutenoise has released on such labels as Raw Underground Records (UK), Vesna (UA), Underground Sources (TN), Smile for a While (DE).

Following a first compilation in 2016 and a series of parties, Rinse France & Piu Piu join forces for the first release of her own label : Grooveboxx Records.

Together, they present 'Memorias', the first EP of her new imprint.

Quite explicit through its title, Grooveboxx catalogue stands for an exploration of the grooves across its modern shapes, it embodies the quest of trance throughout music and question the body and the individuals on the dancefloor.

The first release is composed of 5 percussive tracks from producers and DJs Aleqs Notal, Myako and Geena.

All tracks are exploring samples coming from the Musee du Quai Branly's ethnos collection along with some some field recordings captured in a garden in Paris where south American tribes were exhibited during the ""Universal Exposition"" in Paris.

With Salvia Cosmica Myako takes us to a progressive voyage surrounded by all kinds of spirits whispering melodies to our soul while the tribe's marching band marks our footsteps with its strong percussions. Enter the forest.

Influenced by Chicago & Detroit, house producer Aleqs Notal graces us with a percussive jam baptized Finger Prints.
6:45 of pure rhythmics honoring the roots of the music its been sampled from. The rite begins.

La Dansa Del Risa is a conversation between birds and humans overlooking at the tension one night in the forest can impose on our western fears of nature. Stay close to the flames.

Antinote senior, Geena blesses us with Selva Spirit, a slowjam reverie filled with eerie pads and peculiar drum sequences.
We're almost there.

Last but not least, Jungla Encantada seals the EP with a deep wisdom and mastership of the jungle's best kept secrets. It's slow pace and flute melodies appease our senses while mysterious dialects becomes our native language.

London based OdD are a natural fit for Infuse with their rolling hypnotic grooves featuring in the sets of the Fuse crew for the past few years. Rob Belleville is a producer from the Netherlands. His music can be found in the same space as producers such as Arne Weinberg, Microworld, Sean Deason and Drivetrain. He is know for moving between ambient electronica and atmospheric techno sounds, always warm and well produced. This release is no different, as here we have two very special tracks with the same integrity as anything Rob has written in the past. On the A side we've got 'Implacable Force' which features a driving techno foundation and washy synths, interwoven for perfect headspace. The second track in is Sungazing, which takes you into a more lazy groove with swirling, warm pads and more good drum programming. The B side features Rise 'n Shine and Sands of Time, both blurring the line between deep house and techno, with a fine balance between the melodic textures and tech house percussion. If you like atmospheric, melodic textures and quality music in general, this one is for you.

Valdovinos is the most patient man on Earth. He's been waiting for us to release his music for quite a while. Good job it's not aged a day since we first heard it. We initially discovered him through his collaborations with another of our favourite, Facundo Mohrr.

The Argentinian musical movement continues to inspire and excite us and this release gives us yet another reason to want to visit South America. Each track evokes differing moods and emotions while, at the same time, makes you want to plant yourself firmly in the middle of the dance floor. Australia's Superbreak crew return with their 2nd release this time Bother J teams up with
Aston Agassi for a funky 4 tracker.

Superbreak has released a number of singles on their own self-titled imprint, and have set their sights on breathing new life into dusty obscure soul funk disco and boogie nuggets.

Superbreak's Dj style reflect their productions, the all action, diversity and the constant surprises at every turn, is where its true strength lies, combining slo-mo boogie, groove laden disco, quality house, 70's funk rock and party funk/boogie and always adept at reading the crowd thanks to combined decades plus experience behind the decks, they pride themselves on getting the crowd moving, whether they're into boogie bombs, sleazy deep house, party funk or deep house/disco.

Off the back of their debut LP, Sleep D continue to thrive and refine their production skills, this time with the 10th EP on Planet Euphorique, “Smoke Haze”w. 2020 - the future is now, the 4 tracks each offer a glimpse into a distant yet looming world of dark, driving atmospherics; outer worldly electronics perfect for club use. A1 “Freezer”, wastes no time, diving in with militant metallic flair, elevated above ground through the syncopated stabs and swirling synthesis. Continuing to build throughout the track with delicate, imperative percussion and rolling delays, bubbling analog voices slipping in and out of consciousness to contrast the 4/4 steadiness. “Green Pond”, the A2 takes off from the opener, bringing a naughty tech-house energy, making it impossible to stand still as the sleazy bass locks in with the drums. Winding high-end technicality balances the playful lows, muffled vocal hooks and decaying leads evoking a sense of hedonism, snapped back to reality by the fierce snare programming.

On the B side “King Tide” teases a slightly lighter mood, with energized melody and floating bounce. Utilizing familiar tones and percussion, whilst experimenting with filters and resonance to take you on a sonic exploration. A state of hypnosis, occasionally interrupted by subtle unexpected contrast, those special desired moments on a dance floor. “Bugger”, the final track on the record, presents a skin crawling anthem destined for the darkest of corners, murked shadows engaging in a heavy stomp. Bass focused, blurring genres, total sludge with a whiplash - commanding your attention.

As the Melbourne X Planet Euphorique partnership continues to develop, the pairing feels particularly ideal, linking in harmony to deliver an innovative, polished record primed to cause havoc.

Long-time collaborators, longer-time best friends, lifelong analog appreciators; the German duo Iron Curtis & Johannes Albert join cosmic forces once again for another LP mission 'Moon II', a heartfelt voyage through the sounds, movements, styles and machines that created this music in the first place.
Think late 80s New York, early 90s Sheffield and the perennial sounds of Italo and Detroit, 'Moon II' is a lunar safari that celebrates the deepest foundations of house, techno and electronic soul while resolutely refusing to get nostalgic. Written and recorded during an intense two-and-a-half month session in Berlin last autumn, there's a consistency and tangible narrative running throughout as the pair play inspiration ping-pong over the course of 10 tracks.
A little Drexcyian glacial nod here, a hazy Boards Of Canada wink there. The Other People Place, Kerrier District, Environ Records, the Hacienda, Sub Club, Heaven 17, classic electro… All these ingredients are constantly bubbling in the mix for both Curtis and Albert (as individuals and even more so as a duo) and the end result is an album that works as a proper album should. Peaks, troughs, dreamy departures and all beautiful things in between.

For our second foray into the House Of EFUNK we tap into the source, The Motor City, for a 5 track compilation of Detroit’s unsung heroes and up-and-comers. In true EFUNK fashion the music moves from soulful to funky, groovy to pumping.

On the A Side longtime P-Funk collaborator PiranhaHead (Mahogani, Moods & Grooves) brings in Abby B on vocals for the soulful, deep4life workout “Ebb & Flow”. Next up, two Detroit transplants living in LA, Visionquest’s Lee Curtiss and Steingold give us “Feed The Funk” a bassline driving, dancefloor bomb with a classic sample. Then the city's most prolific producer of the moment Javontte (NDATL, Sisturm) turns out a bubbling remix of Soul Clap’s Lonely C 2018 standout single Hold Up.

The B Side kicks off with edit master Pontchartrain (Whiskey Disco, Soul Clap Records) continues his move into strong originals with “Changes They Come”, a funked up, synthed out groove featuring Ian Fink on Keys. Fink rounds everything out with a funky, jazz influenced Detroit groove that shows off the keyboard skills that have him playing with everyone from Scott Grooves to Shigeto to Andrés.

Vince Watson announces 'DnA', an almost 20 track album project focusing purely on Detroit Techno and House and what might be his biggest and best album to date. Coming on his own Everysoul Audio label, Vince's 12th album has been years in the making and see's him go directly back to his Detroit roots. 'DnA EP1' is the first part, four tracks of sketchy hi tech soul, lushest pads and string sequences. Followed by 'DnA EP2' just before summer and another complete vinyl double pack later this year. It was being requested to remake Rhythim Is Rhythim's 'Icon' and 'Kao-tic Harmony' by Derrick May himself in 2015 that greatly inspired Vince to begin writing new original Detroit material and was the catalyst for 'DnA's inception. The album is a dedication and reflection of the three waves of Detroit Techno that inspired a generation and countless electronic producers around the globe. Watson wanted to honour this in the music as closely as possible. Hints of Derrick May, Carl Craig, Mad Mike, Juan Atkins, Kenny Larkin, Stacey Pullen and Dan Curtin can all be heard influencing across the album.

In 2016 Baaba Maal, the Senegalese master-musician, released his 11th album 'The Traveller' via Marathon Artists/Palm Recordings. Produced by They Very Best's Johan Hugo Carlsberg the record is a globetrotting portal into what can happen when traditional African rhythms both coexist and expand on dance-leaning sounds.Taking this approach to the next level Baaba Maal recruited dance floor minded producers to remix various tracks off the album. Including veteran Berlin deep house artist Henrik Schwarz, Auntie Flo known for his exploration of lesser-known strands of music & the Barcardi-house sounds of South African producer DJ Spoko.

A little trip into the New York and Jersey house realms. Here the House Ala Carte project of Jovonn restored and available again, a release which may not be representative for the majority of Jovonn's work, but in our eyes probably one of the most unique releases he did. Originally released on Project X records in 1993

Kerri Chandler is house music royalty, and he is next to take the reins of the ever essential DJ-kicks mix series. His sumptuous selection is out on October 20th and arrives with a substantial release tour that includes a launch party at this year's ADE.
Without New Jersey native Kerri 'Kaoz' Chandler, house—specifically deep house—would sound very different. Ever since his teens he has been making and playing music with a unique sense of soul, jazz and deepness. From majors like Atlantic, King Street Sounds and Nervous via his own Madhouse, his releases are never short of genre-defining classics that have spawned a thousand copycats. Affectionately referred to as the Stevie Wonder of house, Kerri's DJ sets take him all over the world and often find him playing live keys next to his informed selections. He's meticulous about sound, too, which means that no-ones kicks hit quite like Kerri's.His instantly classic and timeless DJ-kicks mix, though, takes him out of the club and through a world of influences and inspirations. It's like me taking you for a walk in New York,' he says. Like a music tour guide, we go through Brooklyn, Soho, midtown, the Bronx and Uptown, and parts of New Jersey.' The resulting selection is an unhurried and very personal mixtape with blends, fades and cuts all allowing the music to do the talking. At various points throughout, we hear Kerri speaking into the mic, and that only adds to the feeling that you are sat in his living room as he pulls out all his favourite cuts. He also lays down some of his magical keys at various points, lending yet more personality to the mix.

For our forth release, T4T LUV NRG present an e.p. of two beautiful songs and one evocation by label co-founder, DJ, and producer Octo Octa (Maya Bouldry-Morrison). “She’s Calling” is the third piece in Octo Octa’s two-year exploration of the connection between music and ritual, closing the loop on themes explored on her “For Lovers” ep (Technicolour, 2019) and full-length album “Resonant Body” (T4T LUV NRG, 2019).

While many describe dance music in terms of escape, for Octo Octa and many others like her, dance music is about connection. The connections we feel on a dancefloor are transformative, but in time spent alone, dance music remains a powerful tool for connection with nature, with ourselves, and with something ineffable that feels like magic. The title track, “Goddess Calling,” captures a moment of such revelry, a result of the union of sound and ritual. Maya wrote the second song, “Find Your Way Home,” in early 2020, a few weeks before she cancelled her tour and headed back to the States because of the pandemic. She originally intended the title as a metaphor, the journey being internal, but the title would prove to be prescient. She made the song in order to take a trip into herself, to bring herself peace during an intense time. As the song explains, let your conscious find your way home. Many religious and mystery traditions employ the use of uttered word formulas as a way to bring something into your life. “Spell for Nature” is Octo Octa asking in her own voice to connect with nature personified in the form of a goddess. The recording is about the moment when she saw something she knew was there all along. When she peaked behind the curtain and found something enveloping and eternal.

This legendary 1994 double-pack on Eightball has long been an object of desire for House music fanatics and vinyl junkies worldwide since it's original release. It has never been re-issued in it's entirety... Until now...

Der in Melbourne geborene und in London ansässige Produzent DJ BORING schließt sich dem Technicolour-Team an, um „Like Water“, seine erste EP seit zwei Jahren, zu veröffentlichen. Die Tracks wurden ursprünglich als Teil seiner gefeierten Live-Show produziert, die zu 100 % aus neuer, unveröffentlichter Musik bestand, und löste bei den Fans, die seitdem nach genau diesen Tracks geradezu lechzen, große Begeisterung aus.

Die vier Tracks wurden in erster Linie mit Blick auf die Live-Show produziert, die für Hallis „ein besonderer Ort“ist, und zeigen eine Vielzahl von Inspirationen von Chicago House, Detroit Techno bis hin zu Trance und Funk. „Obwohl ich die Tracks vor allem für die Live-Show gemacht habe, wollte ich, dass diese EP mehr als nur Club-Tracks enthält und Spaß macht.“, erklärt er. Vom erhebenden Titeltrack „Like Water“ bis hin zum druckvollen und doch melodischen „Stockholm Syndrome“, scheint stets Hallis' humorvolle und energiegeladene Persönlichkeit durch. Die eindrucksvollen Visuals, die die Live-Show und die kommende EP begleiten, wurden vom New Yorker Künstler Amir Jahanbin erschaffen. „Ich wollte einen Künstler finden, der Farbe und Spaß in mein Set integriert. Ich stieß auf Amir und fand sofort Gefallen an den Farben und Figuren, mit denen er arbeitete.“, kommentierte Hallis, „Seine hellen, pixeligen Animationen passten perfekt zu meiner Musik.“.

His production skills have gone through the roof in the years since I met him, and he has mastered the art of the curveball track - evidenced by his debut EP on Trippy Ass Technologies. I am thrilled to welcome Nima to the TAT family.'

Having previously appeared alongside Tommi Vicari Jr on a 12" last year, Opto Mystics strike out on their own with this 12" for Italian powerhouse Vibraphone. New Horizon very much represents the new school approach with the long serving Italian house label, keeping that deep, melodic quality but embracing new rhythms, tones and approaches. "New Horizon" almost has an Akufen quality to it, while "Bucky Triangle" could easily transmit from the Motor City house scene. "M.I.Y.E." is a swirling blur of gorgeous synths, and "Suddent" finishes the EP off on a surprisingly experimental tip.

Echovolt's lost and found 10th release is finally out! A beautiful mosaic of six tracks produced by new and old friends hailing from six different parts of the world.

From the no-reason unreleased Terekke's "Sun Salutation" remix, the new Greek producer but old friend of us under the (for the time being) name "Old Man Talkin'", the first hip hop jam ever released on the label by West Coast's "Tlim Shug" to the mysterious one-off alias of Sydney's "Indreamz". However, this compilation could never be more complete without our new loves that are Australia's Hugo Gerani (aka John Tanner) and Shea from overseas both of them to be seen in future solo releases!

Rising Manchester star FINN takes the helm for the next release on Ruf Kutz with two hyper-real contemporary raw bangers crafted for maximum emotional impact backed with remixes from RK big guns RUF DUG & GLOWING PALMS.

Even though he's a comparative youngun, this is by no means Finn's first time at the rodeo - he's a label boss, an NTS pioneer, a Boiler Room veteran, a Defected Records Old Boy and also holds down the coldest twitter account on the information superhighway. It's a big deal to us that we managed to snare him for a release on his ascent to whatever accelerated dimension he is headed for.

Purposely conceived as raw club tracks after a heavy Paul Johnson listening session, TRICK TRICK and BELLE THEME contain many of his beloved hallmarks while also showcasing new creative pathways - the title of the EP surely alluding to what Finn is about to pull from up his sleeve...

Opener TRICK TRICK is many things all at once - a raw turbo-jacker, a hugely emotive bassline roller, a super-fresh club banger that has few elements, yet uses them with such efficiency it's impossible not to be drawn up into its vapour trail.

BELLE THEME winds the pace & harmonic tension up with manic abandon as we find ourselves in Finn's familiar 130-plus territory but while the tempo is slamming he somehow manages to drape everything in a lacy coating, as if we were playing a bonus level from a lost Studio Ghibli PS1 beat-em-up.
Back in the real world we flip the record for 2 textbook Ruf Kutz remixes. First up label boss RUF DUG guts Trick Trick and serves up the fillet on an unashamedly tech-house bed, purpose-built for DC10 circa 2009 - meanwhile Ruffy's partner in crime GLOWING PALMS dips into his secret stash of double doves and takes Belle Theme for an unforgettable night out in a Burnley warehouse.

Of the release Ruf Dug says "It's been a big thrill to follow Finn"s development over the years since we first met. I've been hoping to collaborate with him for quite a while so for it to be finally happening especially at this stage in his career is a genuine mega buzz!"

Man könnte fast schon sagen: Fresh & Low are back! Das wäre zwar dann doch etwas forsch, aber dieses zeitlose Release aus dem Jahre 1997 hat es absolut verdient nochmals veröffentlicht zu werden.

Fresh & Low, das britische Produzententeam, veröffentlichte ab Mitte der 90er Jahre auf so wegweisenden Labels wie - Guidance', - Black Vinyl' und - Crucial Sounds' viele herausragende Platten. Als eine ihrer wichtigsten und besten gilt zweifelsohne die bahnbrechende - Little i EP', erschienen auf West Side Records.

4 Tracks essentieller und zeitloser House Musik, die heute noch genau so gut funktionieren und frisch klingen wie bei ihrem Erscheinen vor fast 15 Jahren!

Herauszuheben sind die beiden unwiderstehlichen Stücke - New Life' und - No Going Back', die sich durch ihren langsamen Aufbau, mit deepen warmen Chords, spärlich eingesetzten Vocalfetzen und einem treibenden, druckvollen Beat zu wahren Peaktime-Hymnen entwickeln! In 2018 I landed in Amsterdam to start a Europe Tour. The venue could not find a hotel for me, so I asked Gilbert, who invited me to stay in his guest room. I felt at home when I saw what was on Gilbert's table/mind. The book 'Shantaram', a double reed flute photo, Saravah... (as a friend of Pierre Barouh, I had visited Saravah where I met Jacques Higelin in the 70s). Gilbert and I exchanged many ideas, and I invited him to record at my place in Australia. He did, and here is the result! I am thrilled that the words issued from my Head Voices are highlighted by the arrangements co-created with Gilbert - also the sheer genius of I:Cube to polish our gems has a lot to do with that!

One of the UK’s finest home grown talents are back with new music on their own label since the release of ‘Late Night Party Line’

The killer lead cut ‘Big Wig’ takes us all the way to the late-night discos of NYC and right back to Europe via London and Berlin. It’s richly melodic, sizzling with promise and packed with PBR goodness, and easily their biggest record since ‘Late Night Party Line’.

The remix from Donald Dust adds some classic New Order-esque club sheen but fully updates for contemporary floors, while ‘Shooting Star’ with its nod to F G T H, is an equally incisive club burner which puts PBR right back where they belong, in the middle of the dancefloor.

Chicago, 1991. The House Jam Records go from strength to strength, having already released a slew of influential and classic records from 1987 onwards, the duo of Larry Thompson and Rick Lenoir are making their impression felt on the dance music scene not only in their own city, but on a worldwide scale. Enter Tikkle, another undercover pseudonym used by the pair for their own special brand of deep House tracks.
"Outer Limits" was the first release using this name and is an essential EP of midwestern machine grooves. The tracks have that rough, basement vibe with a healthy dose of deep, melodic qualities thrown in, the track "Outer Limits" for example, has a sophisticated almost Jazz like vibe that wouldn't sound out of place on an early UR release! The second track on the EP "In The Beginning..." is a driving cut based around Mach's legendary "On & On" (often cited as one of the "first" House tracks!) with Thompson and Lenoir adding some dope keys, strings and extra drum machines all with that trademark LNR swing. "Holding On" is a stripped back, percussion led, heads down kinda jam... the kind of track to make dance-floors sweat, solid stuff indeed!
The whole EP has been reissued as it was originally released in 1991, with all original House Jam label artwork intact. For this special 2016 pressing Rick Lenoir dug in his vault of reel to reel tapes and excavated a long lost Tikkle track that has never been released..... until now - "My Mood (Rick's Cosmic Mix Edit)" is the closing track of the EP and is a fresh, 24 year old acid track with ocean deep pads - What a discovery, and one that will undoubtedly excite House heads! This track is exclusive to this repress! All audio has been lifted from Rick Lenoir's private collection of reel to reel tapes from his basement and remastered accordingly. This reissue has been realised with the full involvement of Thompson & Lenoir and is 100% legit!

Frisk - A shortlived, late 90's project brought to you by the team of Terry Francis, Jiten Acharya & Gideon Jackson, all active members of South London's infamous SWAG & Eye 4 Sound crews. Having only one 3 track 12" to their name, Frisk delivered this much sought after and coveted EP of sleek tech-house grooves on the aforementioned cult Eye 4 Sound label in 1997. If stripped back, funked-up and bass heavy jams are your thing then you need to check the absolute roller that is 'Peeking', a bottom end pleasing, acid churning percussive monster with all the trippiness you could hope for. 'Stabbed' on the B-side almost foretells some of the futuristic bassline pressure that would eventually emanate from Croydon only a few years later, it's not straight house or techno, it's an electronic steppers sound-system killer! The EP finishes with 'Just Don't', a garage-esque jam with delayed claps and stacks of funk, the track builds and builds and recalls the fractured machine soul of Detroit or the broken beat stylings of the West London mob. Sure, these jams all have varying influences, but they stand alone in their originality and sounds as fresh today, in 2019, as they did in 1997! A proper rare London record right here. No snoozing!

Originally released in 1998 this classic, stripped back, funked up workout from the mysteriously monikered Jean Caffeine (aka The Freaks' Luke Solomon) is a true underground UK House classic. Raw garage-esque drums drive the title cut 'Downtime, Turn Around And Go Backwards', the track skips along while these soul drenched creeping synth melodies and pads completely wash over us and engulf our senses... then, out of nowhere that wigged out bassline appears and we're locked in to a truly sublime groove that won't stop! Over on the flip we are treated to the subdued mellow groove of 'Jean's Train Of Thought', again crazy raw drum programming is accompanied by a sophisticated, bleepy jazzy feeling that goes super deep. The EP finisher 'Jean's Afterthought' carries on the minimal funk vibe of the rest of the EP - lean, driving drums, filtered loops and creeping synth sounds that weave in and out of the mix creating a mildly hallucinatory feel that is present throughout all 3 tracks. 'Downtime, Turn Around And Go Backwards' is a truly unique record with an original style that stood out in 1998 by miles and still sounds ahead of the curve now! A modern classic indeed.
