Finally Vol.6 is ready - this time the good people at Hands Off picked up tracks from Desos, Space Age and Common Mode - Deep all the way.

DJ Hell is known for pulling together disparate corners of the music universe, digging through history to pave a way forward, and the latest Gigolo Records release is a shining case in point: Hell revisits new wave vaudevillian (and fellow Bavarian) Klaus Nomi, now getting awoken thirty years after his tragic premature death.

But the song goes back further than that. "Cold Song" was actually written by 17th century Baroque composer Henry Purcell and poet John Dryden for their opera King Arthur. Nomi recorded a version for his self-titled album from 1981—engineered by electro pioneer Man Parrish—and it was also the last piece he performed publicly during his lifetime.

The 2013 Remake adds a totally new dimension to the original, tailored unapologetically for the dancefloor with an Italo-disco edge. Augmented by crisp, icy arpeggiation to contrast Klaus Nomi's warm, glowing voice, "Cold Song" now offers a completely different type of intensity, more kinetic than sublime. On the flip side, the DJ Hell Remix re-envisions the piece as a house track, with African polyrhythms and synthetic bleeps dancing around Nomi's sky-high countertenor. Two interpretations that differ as drastically from one another as they do from the operatic original. Watch for the forthcoming remixes from Hrdvision and DJ QQ as well!

Goshawk returns for Hudd Traxx 60th release with Erik Rico supplying the vocals. Get Up 2 Get Down is a peak time groover with plenty of funk to boot accompanied by some seriously soulful lyrics. Art Of Tones picks up the pace on the remix with a heavy bass line added with open hats to take things up a notch. Flip for the B side and find The Love Has Gone, a brilliantly made house track made for the dancefloor. Goshawk closes things out with a laid back deep house dub on B2.

Greetings and welcome from Axces. We're a small local Copenhagen community of friends and curious souls. This is our very first record. Alfredo92 and Kasper Marrot run the label, and they've produced two tracks with help from our good friends Carl Emil and Lauge.

The record was created in 2017 at the professional facilities we've come to know as Nordvest Auto. On both tracks, you'll hear a lot of drums, some bass, effects, samples, vocals and sounds from beyond, we don't know how to describe. They've been tested on various sound systems during the past year, and we can ensure you that a flat EQ and max volume will suit the tracks almost anywhere.

We really hope you enjoy our effort. If you should ever find yourself in Copenhagen Axces will provide counselling and guidance at own risk.

First release from a new electronic label based in Warsaw. Funded by Rafal Grobel - DJ and promoter behind S1 Warsaw records and a host of Boiler Room events in Poland. Grobel encouraged legendary Polish hip-hop label and urban wear brand Prosto to join forces to promote local artists worldwide with their combined experience and taste. In direct translation "most" means "bridge" in Polish but also stands for Music Of Stories Told.

The Beginning compilation brings together artists from various genres. Album includes solo tracks from recognizable Polish producers like Eltron John, SLG, The Phantom aka ex-Ptaki, Klaves, Hatti Vatti and Matat Professionals among others. The tracks on this album sampler 12" are spontanious collabos between Eltron John & SLG as Seltron 400 and The Phantom & Newborn Jr. aka Matat Professionals. The first duo has three EPs scheduled under the alias and the second just released an EP on Rhythm Section as Earth Trax & Newborn Jr.

The artists were invited for a session in a house in the woods which has been transformed into a temporary studio to share common vibe in music for the album. Prolific photo material from the event was included in the cover. Album comes out on vinyl as 12" sampler and 2LP gatefold, on CD in regular and limited packaging and in digital format.

S&W and Gustaaf make up three fifths of Prongof108 which started out as a radio show on Berlin based Cashmere Radio in 2015 and turned into a record label a few years down the road. After some solo records and the release of a split EP on Turnland Records, they are now teaming up for their upcoming “It’s More Fun to Commute” EP on Prongof108. Combining the forces of three guys seems like a natural fit, or to put it differently: it just happened. They’ve been DJing together and sharing a mutual passion for UFOs and palm trees since quite a while. Expect a mix of 80s boogie and proto house vibes sending kisses to tropical and pacific sounds and taking you on a journey from proper house club crowd bouncing to teenage heartache downtempo electronica - always smart and with a smirk, definitely never too intelligent to dance to.

Meeka Kates has been steadily making a name for himself in the online world in the last couple of years and since joining Kraak & Smaak's Boogie Angst imprint. His debut Wildfire EP introduced his cool and soulful blend of indie electronica and he continues to build his sound further with another EP - Fault Line.

His trademark slick soul melodies and personal lyricism are still present on this collection but this outing is a more lounge and chillout focused affair which absolutely suits Meeka's understated mellow style down to the ground.

We here at Silence In Metropolis are very excited to bring you our second Vinly only VA release with some heavy tracks from an eclectic group of talent.

This release kicks off on Side A with west coast based underground craftsman Pezzner who brings us "Devil's Advocate" which is an organic dark, moody, percussive exploration that is both artistic as it is dance floor ready. Sascha Dive returns to SIM and brings his signature deep house vibe on "Chez Groove" that will make any house head move.

Sibe B brings the London break out artist James Dexter to SIM with "Inside," a deep cut featuring a heart throbbin bassline, a kick and snare combo that chugs with anthem like vocal hits... must have for a deep set! The final cut is a classic deep house masterpiece called "Nine" delivered by the Italian duo Marsupials that has everything we love about house, deep chords and pads, a solid bottom end, and a healthy arpeggio to keep things grooving.

Bicep’s much-loved, classic remix of Dyone ‘Only Love Can Set U-Free’ gets its first ever vinyl release on the legendary First Choice.

Back in ’93 Dyone produced the outstanding ‘Only Love Can Set U-Free’, an uplifting house workout drenched in piano stabs, sweeping strings and Dyone’s alluring vocals laid over the top of a shuffling rhythm.

Only ever released digitally the Belfast boys, Bicep loop up Dyone’s chorus vocal whilst honing in on those huge piano chords and beefing up the beat, laying down a fresh set of drums that give that powering, club-ready Bicep touch.

One of the first visitors to Planet Euphorique, Melbourne-based producer Roza Terenzi makes her triumphant return with the first LP release on the label. A playful yet cohesive collection from post-electro and extra-terrestrial techno to dreamy prog-house and low slung zingers, bumping us into the new decade. Modern Bliss, the sound of Roza Terenzi fully realized.

Never shy to experiment with unconventional sounds or mingle influences, the album presents 9 offerings to suit every flavor of raver. Flipping it over to the B side things heat up, “Yo-Yo” chimes in immediately with a tough onslaught of metallic polyrhythms and a pulsating melodic bassline coaxing you down a path less travelled and preparing you for the sexy sub action that demands your attention, "That Track (Rewired Mix)", buckle up to sweat. Sweet relief comes with the C side “Exhale”, dipping in tempo; esoteric atmospheres to fill your ears, something fresh to absorb with each listen. To close off the record, something old and something new, “Eternal Lust” a delicate ode to the lovers and from the vaults “My Reality Cheque Bounced (Feat. DJ Zozi)” - a raucous party starter serving up that label defining sound, futuristic and bombastic, tipping its hat to the break.

Following the Stardancer EP and his remix for All I Need To Get High by Damian Lazarus & The Ancient Moons, Ae:ther unveils his most accomplished and daring work yet on the highly anticipated debut album Me released on Crosstown Rebels. Blazing a trail with his natural aptitude for crafting emotive, captivating compositions that have landed him releases on Crosstown Rebels Afterlife and Fabric, Ae:ther presents his debut LP. The album is a painstakingly produced collection of haunting melodies and narcotic rhythms that display his love and inspiration for ambient electronica, deep underground music and introspective atmospheres, culminating in dreamlike soundscapes programmed with taut percussion. The album begins on Stardancer, setting the tone with gentle keys and space influenced licks that portray a cosmonaut ascending into the stratosphere. This moves into the glistening, atmospheric Finferli, where synths depict aliens conversing in a distant, just-discovered world. Sub-aquatic ambient fills We’ll be Together, boosts of energy and intricate melodies weave in and out of the vocal, locked to the dubby groove. Ice cold subtlety and the otherworldly electronics of Costes drip slowly like water down a pane of glass. The shimmering ripples of electronica on title track Me fuse with delicate human vocals creating a heart-warming, personal account of Ae:ther’s relationship with his instruments. Trademark bleeps and blips wash over natural broken beats in one last final call to his utopia in the album outro.

Damian Lazarus will celebrate the tenth anniversary of his acclaimed 2009 debut album ‘Smoke The Monster Out’ with the release of a re-mastered and expanded edition on his label Crosstown Rebels on the 27th September. In celebration of such a milestone, Moment In The Dark EP acts as a precursor, featuring two of the album’s original tracks, Moment and Diamond In The Dark reworked and remixed by Keinemusik resident Adam Port, rising newcomer Tibi Dabo and Dutch talent Satori.

Released in 2009, Smoke The Monster Out album was a milestone in Damian’s career. The first time he had written and produced his own music. Drawing on the inspirations that informed his Lazpod series, Damian emerged from studio sessions with Arthur Jeffes (Penguin Cafe Orchestra), Luke Solomon and Mark Ralph with an album. It was a brave album from a DJ not afraid to experiment, wear his heart on his sleeve or risk his successful DJing career by singing on his own music. Even today, it’s a fantastically unique album that refuses easy categorisation. It received critical acclaim from some of the scene’s most respected publications at the time - and also some degree of confusion. Indeed, The Guardian went as far as describing the album: “Less troubled and deep than Björk's Debut, it still captures the atmosphere of late-night clubland – the transcendent freedom, the fuzzy unreality, the implicit emptiness, the dysfunction – with a similar potent accuracy. That it does so by fusing Ricardo Villalobos and Robert Wyatt, and slipping in a Scott Walker cover, might explain why it is not being hailed as one of the crossover albums of the year. But it is."

Damian described how the inspiration for the album came from “what I know best, about what goes on in the darkness of dancefloors”. This innate connection between Damian and his audience created an album that struck a poignantly emotional chord with its listeners. The release of Moment In The Dark is no different, providing the perfect taste as to what can be expected from the upcoming album re-release.

The EP begins with the original tracks. Two equally slow-burning, emotion-filled cuts. Moment is an epic, gently unfolding piece, whilst Diamond In The Dark showcases a soul-infused, folk-rock sensibility. Keinemusik stalwart Adam Port provides a winding journey in his remix of Moment, that drifts between safari-like melodies and touching beautiful vocals. Rising newcomer Tibi Dabo offers an ethereal re-work of Diamond In The Dark, one that features a slick, minimal bassline coupled alongside pulses of fantasy-like vocals, before Dutch talent Satori rounds off the release with a moving cut that features soft keys and wholesome, warming pads.

Atjazz takes to the Rhodes for his remix, laying down an infectious melody mirrored by the bass that’s put on top of a fresh set of drums. Stunning new album from Chicago's finest electronic futurist Hieroglyphic Being, aka Jamal Moss, newly released on Soul Jazz Records. This is his third album for the label, following on from "The Acid Documents" in 2015, and African With Mainframes (w/ Noleian Reusse) "K.M.T." in 2016.

Born and based in Chicago, Moss's music embodies two of the cultural foundation blocks of the city's musical lineage, that of Chicago's original Acid House sound (c. 1986) - Frankie Knuckles, Phuture, Marshall Jefferson et al, alongside a rigorous experimental sound searching that taps into the cosmic musical lineage of pioneering artist Sun Ra whose Arkestra landed and was based in the city from 1946-61, and the equally pioneering work of 'The Art Ensemble' of Chicago in the 1960's and 70's.

The association with Sun Ra is by no means hypothetical, Moss recorded with the Arkestra leader Marshall Allen and a host of free jazz players for the album Hieroglyphic Being & JITU Ahn-Sahm-Buhl's 'We Are Not The First.' in 2015. Similarly, his relationship to Chicago's original acid house pioneers of the late 1980's is no hyperbole. Originally mentored by artist/producers Adonis and Steve Pointdexter, Moss also runs his own Mathematics label, releasing a constant stream of new music by foundation acid house pioneers Lil' Louis, Adonis and many others.

What clearly defines Moss's music is that while sometimes pushing the limits of sound to an ear-splitting dimension of experimentation and DIY-electronics - the music is always clearly a progression of the lineage of black music. In the words of fellow Chicagoans, 'The Art Ensemble' of Chicago, it is simply 'Great Black Music.'

And yet in this uniquely defined sound, Moss somehow manages to draw into this world elements of industrial music, German electronic music (Cluster, Harmonia etc), Detroit's sci-fi techno artists (Atkins, Saunderson, Craig) and more.
'Outsider House' 'Afro-Futurist' 'Rhythmic Cubism', Moss's near indescribable sound plays testament to the notion that he is perhaps the last of the line of producers directly influenced by Ron Hardy at the Music Box, uniquely qualified to write a new chapter of Chicago's rich musical history.

Red Notes is the prolific artists new revelatory and unique project - in his own words 'A homage to the Blue Note Jazz sound of Thelonious Monk, John Coltrane, Herbie Hancock' fused together with the classic Chicago House and Acid sensibilities of Larry Heard, Armando, Adonis et al, into a newly imagined futuristic and barrier-less musical landscape. Featuring organic and synthetic electronic instrument., Hieroglyphic Being here fuses real-time live instrumentation and over-dubbed technologies to dramatic effect, as analog and electronic worlds collide.

Since 2015 Reedale Rise's refined strand of electro and techno has quickly established him as one of the most inventive artists operating in the current crop of machine manipulators coming out of the UK underground. Liverpool-based producer Simon Keat has released a prolific body of work under the alias in a short space of time, notching up appearances on crucial labels such as Frustrated Funk, Hizou, Where We Met and many more besides. With a sound indebted to the early wave of UK techno artists like B12, the electro experimentation of Silicon Scally as well as Detroit forefathers such as Drexciya and Model 500, it's not hard to see why Reedale Rise makes perfect sense on Ornate. Technically astounding and emotionally charged, across all three tracks ORN027 marries shimmering, hi-def synth lines with crisp rhythms spanning 2-step shuffle, broken beats and understated techno propulsion.

Exciting new producer Yves Tomas releases on Rekids with ‘Pilot EP’ this May - a bold and versatile debut release exhibiting the artist’s broad range of influences.

Hailing from London but with roots in Bristol, Yves Tomas is a producer, vocalist and DJ brought up in the centre of UK club music. Since experimenting with music through his childhood and early teens he’s gone on to become an engineer, working in studios alongside some of the biggest names in grime and pop music. This has led to him developing his own unique style of electronic music as a reactionary expression to working in the meat grinder culture of mainstream music. He now joins Radio Slave
Rekids - a label known and respected for discovering many luminary figures in electronic music.

With its otherworldly melody and echoing effects, ‘Braindead’ is a downtempo track that remains beatless until the halfway mark, moving onto the beautifully arranged ‘MA1’ with its reverb-drenched breaks, quivering synths, and ever-evolving chopped and looped vocals. ‘River’ then incorporates elements of grime and jungle courtesy of its lively stabs, soulful chords and compelling rhythm built on punchy percussion. Taking things into a spiritual direction, Elephant & Snake’ meanders forward using
syncopated drums, washy chants and elevating organ keys before ‘Callout FM’ follows with its rattling snares, twisted arpeggios, and crystalline pads.

Nearing the end, ‘Pilot’ is a stripped-back affair with sporadic kicks, a fuzzy bassline, and vocoder vocals until digital bonus track ‘Birds Of The Barbican’ ties everything together by generating an uplifting atmosphere destined to elevate revellers for many years to come.

After completing his debut 12" for 100% Silk (which saw a release in Feb 2016) Hubert Clarke Jr spent most of 2015 focused on pushing the music of others, through Sydney's newest record store, Outer Time Inner Space.

Owning and being surrounded by a literal shop full of records provided motivation and inspiration but left little time for writing.

It was the incredible talent and passion of DJs and peers in the fertile house/techno scene at home in Sydney that proved to be an undeniably strong motivator. Dancing while local friends, Ben Fester and Andy Webb go ham b2b in support of Soichi Terada (a bill that included Hubert among other local talents) is a perfect example.

Wanting to capture and bottle the palpable energy and diversity of amazing nights like this in Sydney led him to write the tracks that make up this EP.

Taking cues from both Detroit and the UK, there's no set formula here, just a conscious effort to balance a love for sampling with an equally strong passion for musicality and live performance. Translating this through the MPC with the hopeful goal of keeping thighs warm in the disco... or ears cosy on the train home.

This Nation House's first release is called « Chalutier Du Havre » as G'Boï & Jean Mi are willing to name all La Chinerie's releases with a name based on the acronym of the dedicated group (C.D.H. As Chineurs de House for all House releases). « Chalutier Du Havre » means Trawler from le Havre whitch is a portuary city in Northern France. As their first release, « Chalutier Du Havre » was meant to be a French one. Therefore, 8 talented French artists joined the ship and help Quentin & Anthony build a wonderful 2x12'' LP that shines with its ecletism. A1 « Une Autre Génération » written by Nicolas Mondragon aka Deepah is a perfect introduction to this LP with its absolute smooth deepness reminding us of the foundations of House Music based on social-cultural mix and tolerance. « Everybody was freakin' » is the metaphor designating these human values that are the legacy left from these old days to be transmitted to « another generation ». A2 « Cent Quatre-Vingt-Sept » wrtitten by Joss Moog follows Deepah in it's deepness ; the lower tempo and afro-caribbean percussions introduce perfectly B1 « Chapitres » written by S3A Sampling as an Art. Typically the kind of track that can be played or listened anytime, anywhere, « Chapitres » shows perfectly S3A's sampling skills and how he can build a funky disco hit out of several samples. To end the first part of the LP, it's young duo Dub Striker on B2 with « Sainte Victoire », highly coloured and powerful, this track is a dancefloor killer with it's endless synth and strong kick...to be listened eyes closed. C1 « NTM » written by Sweely launches the darker side of the LP with its sharp vocal and hats and this massive kick that makes you wanna shake your head so hard you'd break your cervical vertabrae. C2 « Barbès » by duo Mara Lakour follows the dark lead given by C1 in a more groovy way given by this acid bass lead and those dancing hats. D1 « Equinoxe » written by Janeret is the pre-conclusion of this LP, dubby stuff that's makes you feel as if you were sitting in a rocket destination moon, staring at the window and enjoy some spectacular space routine. D2 « Hent Avel » by Baptiste Letertre aka Ringard ; that's it, you made it to the moon, enjoy the stroll with those hypnotic layers but don't forget to come back to earth.

Valencia based deep house DJ and producer Hugo Giner aka W & P HGG has been deejaying and crafting his sound since 1995.
