Presenting the first in a series of respectful and legit reissues from one of the UK's most well loved underground record labels:

London's Warriors Dance label was a unique operation and a pioneering London label during the late 80's acid house phenomena. Home to an assortment of DJs, MCs and soundmen , they went on to make their own original and indelible mark on the rave scene from the infamous 'Addis Ababa' studio on Harrow Road on the North-West side of the city. A former reggae and soul studio that was instrumental to the output of influential artists like Soul II Soul and more, a steady diet of reggae, bass, hip-hop, house and techno kept their edgy, and diehard UK sound and style right at the cutting edge of the dance music underground across the globe with the top DJs and producers of the day celebrating the label. The studio, helmed by label owner Tony 'Addis', acted as an incubator for artists whose names would go down in the history books - No Smoke, Bang The Party, The Addis Posse, Melancholy Man, Hollywood Beyond, The Housemaids and more all featured heavily on the label and contributed to its legendary output. The attitude and approach to the music was utterly and unapologetically a London thing, with heavy African and Caribbean influences also drawing on the sounds emanating from Chicago, Detroit and further afield. Years later, and with the advent of the internet, Discogs, Youtube and any other digital platform you'd care to mention, Warriors Dance continues to be discovered and rediscovered again by curious diggers and music heads with a thirst for heavyweight tracks to play in their DJ sets. This saw the WD mythology rise again, making their records much sought after by fans from all over the world.

No Smoke's 'Koro Koro' is one such record. Undoubtedly an anthem. A classic. A game-changer. It's one of those records that spread across the world on its release and in its subsequent life thereafter. Literally caned by any DJ worth his salt in 1989 and beyond, this storming, eerie and driving tribal house monster was a huge hit. Licensed and re-released time and time again, and still causing havoc on dance floors in 2018, 'Koro Koro' ushered in a new style of Afrocentric house music, something new, unique and timeless. To inaugurate this incredible reissue series we have original Warriors Dance engineer and studio wizard, Ian Tregoning's special 2018 'rewire' of the track, a faithfully updated, stripped back and reimagined version whose lithe, minimal, streamlined and spatial lines catapult this London warehouse classic deep deep into the future. A truly special remix created specially for this project.

B-side 'It's My Life' is perhaps a little less 'known' than 'Koro Koro' but it is just as deadly. Mining a different sonic furrow to the A-side this 1991 breakbeat/hip-house hybrid absolutely pummels a sound-system (in the best way). The original version saw MC Watts Noize dropping bars of wisdom about making his way in an ever confusing world across a backdrop of chopped up breaks, deep sub-bass rumbles and euphoric, angelic synth pads. The special version featured on this 12" sampler is the infamous (almost) instrumental re-edit from Beautiful Swimmer Max-D. This is the first time this version has ever been made available, having only been out there in the world as a much obsessed over Youtube upload and as one of the highlights of Beautiful Swimmers 2015 Trilogy Tapes mixtape. Super heavy, it will undoubtedly whet the appetites of those who've been screaming for a physical release.

For ANMA's sixth outing we see a coupling of two remarkable talents from either sides of the Atlantic, each taking two turns across a side of crisp wax.

First up for the US Side we have New York based Trinidadian Deep. Personally mentored by Chi-Town legend Ron Trent and with his own unique vision of soulful deep house, he has imparted us with two deeply immersive cuts of intense dance floor electricity, laced with his signature percussive club spirituality!

For the UK Flip, London based Will Lister is a name to watch out for, a young producer who can boast his first wax release being put out on Phonica's own house label! Taking things down a notch on the pitch fader, Will has provided two slow-mo jams that reward the attentive listener with his sensuous and detailed production style. Building tension meticulously before releasing energy with aplomb and polishing things beautifully with his class jazzy flair.

Lovingly pressed on 180g vinyl, hand stamped and labelled on a limited run.

Return of the UK producer Allen Saei aka Aubrey on the mighty Barba label is another bold statement in the discography of this well-versed artist. Building on the relationship with the Burek/Barba/Pomalo family established through remixes of Information Ghetto's "Inspiration" track (Burek 2013), DJ Stingray's "Communication System" (Barba 2015) and his solo "Clock Funk EP" (Barba 2017), for this record Aubrey presents us with a continuation of his previous Barba release, simplistically titled "Clock Funk 2" EP. As is to be expected from a guy who's been spending time in the studio for better part of the last three decades, this 12" is pure techno, in the best sense of the word. As mature and consistent as the previous record of the series, we have Aubrey building on that ground and expanding the range into more abrasive and rough on one side, and even more subtle and humane on the other. A1, titled "Clock Funk 2" is among the subtle ones. Beautiful cascading keys, glitchy synth bleeps and lead lines intertwine into a gorgeous composition grounded by a driving bassline and counterpinted with distorted ride cymbals. Uniquely sounding track which draws influences from many corners of the planet. A2, titled "Sel Moulo" sets a point for the other side of the spectrum. The heaviest and roughest, it locks the frame in which this EP works. Direct, abstract and firmly aimed towards the dancefloor, this cut is for the peak moment of the night when its combination of jacking beats and trippy leads will just push the craziness off the edge. B1, the most humane and gentle track on the EP, "Triads" is a perfect match for the A1 cut, although slower and calmer. Again, the similar approach is used, where the perfectly tuned combination of small synth and keys elements form a complex image which will stay ingrained into anyone's mind once you play it in the right moment. Again, it's hard not to reach for the word "beautiful" when describing this one. B2, Ghost Mist, is on the other hand a match for the heavy A2, but also not as intense. A repetitive affair, with abstract synth lines and disharmonic pads serving as an emotion injection just when they're needed. Common thread moving through all four cuts is an infectious groove intertwined with synth lines that would not be misplaced amongst the best examples of space-influenced techno music firmly grounded on the floor. All that, pressed onto a heavy duty 180 gram vinyl and beautifully packaged in an original artwork by local artist EmaEmaEma.

Supreme Breakbeat House, Floor-focused Leftfield Grooves, And A Rhythmic Ambient Chiller. Cromie's Latest Four Tracker For Material Image, His First For The Label, Fires On All Fronts With Some Help From A Couple Friends From Across The Pond (iron Curtis And Royer). Cromie Has A 'habit' Of Coaxing Hooks Out Of Unassuming Sources, And Fitting Them Into A Cohesive Groove. That's The Secret Sauce Here: Pure Groove And Infectious Melodies From Who-knows-where. Listen For A Perfectly Placed, Driving Guitar Riff In A1, Pitched Percussion And Pan Flutes In A2, And Euphoric Keys With Chunky Bass On B1 (with Help From Iron Curtis). Our Man Royer, A Repeat Offender On The Material Image Roster, Serves Up An Extended Ambient Remix Of A2 'told' To Close Out The Record.

Last seen baring his musical soul on Maceo Plex's Ellum, innovative Valencian artist FiberRoot now makes his debut on Correspondant. Making himself known with three soul surging originals; FiberRoot's spell-binding aesthetic and diverse palette complements Jennifer Cardini's label perfectly as it taps deep into most rudimental electronic foundations.

'Suddenly' sets the agenda: teaming up with OG maestro Dino Lenny, the title tracks hits with authentic blasts of Italo romance and rich analog craft. 'Echo Silent' follows suit with more of a droning, loopy, wall-of-sound surge of introspective hypnosis while 'Looking From The Outside' hits with more a clash-style feeling thanks to its loose drums and sweaty throbbing electro bassline.

Remix-wise Glasgow's MR TC goes Nordic with his mystic refix of 'Echo Silent' while Jonathan Kusuma takes 'Suddenly' to deeper, darker, driving places. Three arresting originals, two immaculate versions; 'Suddenly' is a landmark release for this exciting enigmatic man. We suspect he'll be corresponding with us again very soon....

Following on from her debut release on Project Pablo's SOBO label last year, Montreal's Gene Tellem joins the WOLF Music family with a four-track exploration through the deep depths of her creative talents.

'Phase Memory' draws you in from the off, with it's luscious sweeping synths, bumping bassline and squelching top lines. Think late night downtown cruise summoning emotions past and present, gliding past the outside world.

Following on 'Omni' treads a darker path where cosmic flurries, weighty analogue goodness and celestial pads intertwine. There's a real deftness to Tellem's production, entrancing with each added element, captivating constantly as every second passes.

Take to the flip side to find 'Big Bill', a marriage of drum machines and live percussive hits that set the scene for a full-frontal bass synth and hazy piano lines to take centre stage. This is house at it's deepest depths, with Tellem honing in on a soulful introspection she so impressively weaves throughout the whole e.p.

Rounding off this stellar sophomore release, 'NYC Meditation' is a midnight roller of swelling soundscapes, atmospheric glitches and interstellar stabs - bathing you in a cosmic journey of emotive reverberations.

The pampa, filled with enigmatic lines and geoglyphs known as Nazca, gives name to this record label.

Nazca Records was created to collect the music that Viracochas (beings of other worlds), shared with the ancient Nazca people, known for their love for music, dance and nature.

These recordings represent the music that was once played in another time and that will be played again in the future...They are the memories of the future.

Each vinyl and recording tells a story of the memories from each ceremony that took place in the Pampa Colorada, from music that was played, and of the figures and lines that the Nazcas used to show their gratitude to the Viracochas.
Maybe you're wondering how its possible or how we were able to capture those recordings in Nazca Records to then press to vinyl.
It has been discovered that if an intelligent or exotic species wanted to connect to others, they would use radio signals as they can travel any distance and require very little energy to send.
The logical wave frequency to communicate would be 1420 Megahertz, which is the frequency irradiated by the neutral hydrogen, when its atoms interact between each other.

Local Talk are honoured to welcome Trevor Lawrence Jr. With a CV that reads the who's who in the music scene today, Lawrence's performance and recording credits include Herbie Hancock, Stevie Wonder and Quincy Jones to name a few.

Ahu's debut album from 2017, 'Nord Dream', was something of an overlooked gem from that year, but its musical palette of dubwise techno and ambient sounds caught the ears and enthusiasm of many. Danny Clancy was one such admirer, and in turn brings Ahu's sophisticated sounds to his Dichotomy Records label for the 'Atlas' EP.

Collating three tracks of pure and untethered house and techno, the 'Atlas' EP shifts tempos and moods with ease, from the celestial rhythms of 'Skyway', the pipe dreams of 'Mpale' to the 909 swing and the seraphic pads of 'Searching'.

"As Far As I Know" is the new project by electronic music veteran Eduardo De La Calle. Under this new moniker, Eduardo is exploring the roots of Detroit electro whilst sticking to his signature sound of trippy melodies and rhythms, which we were able to experience through so many quality releases over the last decades. This first EP by As Far As I Know, which also includes a collaboration with Nathan Surreal on B2 (Fact Speak Itself), takes us on a trip back to the future and deep into the realm of sci-fi related electro, IDM, and techno. Discovering severals unconscious space entities around while drinking bio roquefort juice brought him to deliver new electronic messages. A UK Garage Classic remastered from DAT Originals

Apollo proudly presents a full release of the stunning debut album released by SW. SW's lush sound design and hypnotic arrangements nestles snugly alongside the classic 90's Apollo releases of Biosphere and Robert Leiner in all their balmy glory.
Originally issued on vinyl only via SW's own SUED imprint, this Apollo re-release represents something of a coup in that it's the first of the label's music to ever be presented digitally.
As a label, SUED has formed a reputation for releasing some of the most vital and sought after contemporary dance-floor vinyl, from both SW and SVN, as well as collaborations and comradeship with other analogue obsessed auteurs such as Dynamo Dreesen (who teams up with SVN as Dresvn), DJ Sotofett, DJ Fett Burger, PG Sounds and Club No-No, AKA Snorre Magnar Solberg.Ensconced in his studio in South West Germany, SW creates in isolation, exploring textures, dreamy melodies and mesmeric grooves within laid back 4/4 structures. 'The Album' was the first time anyone had experienced his music over a long player format and allowed SW to delve deeper into his influences. In addition to the aforementioned sublime electronica 'The Album' also takes its cues from the iconic house and techno of the mid / late 90s - SW manages to fuse these influences together to create a beguiling, modern take on classic sounds and rhythms that remains thrillingly unique and elusive. Resident Advisor bestowed a rare 4.5 out of 5 on the record, describing it as 'a lesson in how to put together a dance music album' Despite his comfort residing in the shadows, SW's stunning debut album richly deserves the exposure that this broader release on Apollo should rightfully bestow.

New York producer and pianist Eric Maltz lives in Berlin. He produces and mixes his music in a simple, subtle and elegant way and puts his music out on his own label - Flower Myth.
In 2017, Eric Maltz released his first record on Levon Vincent's Novel Sound, including the splendid 'We Have Power', an ode to freedom and celebration of life, featuring the warm vocals of Peruvian Cristina Valentina.
On the brooding rhythmic dancefloor, Cristina's voice opens up and reminds of the power of a meaningful lyric, how a loving message can touch the heart ever so strongly.
Over the past year, 'We Have Power' has become a permanent fixture in the Possible Futures record bag. The two had to learn more about Eric and Cristina. 'Naked Broken' is the first engraving of this newly formed and inspiring musical friendship. A hot groover rooted in a rich NY House tradition, featuring di erent versions for the adventurous DJ.
Eric Maltz & Cristina Valentina played live in Berlin on September 2nd, for The Hot Run! - the annual Possible Futures open-air summer dance, along with Elena Colombi, Kassem Mosse, Sassy J and Tom Trago.

Following their debut single on Classic Records, and collaborations with legendary Chicago vocalist Peven Everett, and Natalie Maddix of the House Gospel Choir, Girls of the Internet are back with a new single.

'Remember My Name' is a collaboration with unsung British Soul diva Linda Muriel. Linda was a founding member of Acid Jazz mainstays Incognito and The Brand New Heavies. At the point both bands were about to blow up, she was diagnosed with a brain tumour, and incredibly, lost her voice for 2 years. The bands moved on by the time she recovered and her voice returned, but to this day, she remains a fierce singer and powerful songwriter.

Remixes come from Detroit Deep House royalty, Rick Wade, and the devilishly handsome Marcel Vogel.

More singles from Girls of the Internet are scheduled, and work has begun on their debut album. The Girls are hoping to make their live debut very soon.

Hugely respected DJ, producer and Diynamic label boss Solomun has just revealed his latest remix, this time for popular NYC rock band Interpol. Forthcoming on 2DIY on the 29th April, the release also includes an extended 'Solomun Stripped Remix' without vocals and a slower build.

Taken from Interpol's latest album 'El Pintor', 'Everything Is Wrong' has been given a dancefloor-ready makeover from Solomun. His remix preserves the gritty guitar line, adding a subtle but deep bassline and echoey percussion. The vocals are slightly tweaked, their electronic twang reminiscent of 80s bands. As Solomon's strings slowly grow throughout the track, the vocals seem to take on a new sense of urgency, particularly in the two dramatic beatless breakdowns towards the end. True to form, Solomun's remix of 'Everything Is Wrong' preserves the mood and melody of the original, yet is a clearly recognisable production of his own, with so many iconic remixes under his belt, Solomun has become known for his masterfully emotive, slow-building takes on all manner of tracks.

As it's released at the end of April, 'Everything Is Wrong' comes out just as Solomun kicks off his hectic global touring schedule for the 2016 summer season, including the return of his famed 'Solomun + 1' residency at Pacha Ibiza.

Fresh names to Visionquest, but certainly not new to the game; More Than Material is the promising new project between two bonafide French selector statesmen who collectively boast decades of dancefloor and studio science: Jedsa Soundorom and Gauthier DM. Launching their new alias earlier this year on Zingiber Audio, their signature has been tangible from the off; deep weighted grooves, warm dynamics and total immersion.

'Intimate' says it all; realising its title's close connotations with a dubby, physical groove and a rollcall of soul rolling elements, it's the sound of a crowd locking in en- mass. Low ceiling, heads down, lights low. 'Godsa' follows with similar moody momentum and another hypnotic weave. This time over much more of a stately techno noir soundscape as its persistent jack is laced with subtle acid details. Next, we hit 'Doctor High', an ageless deep house groove peppered with nuances of uplift, trippiness and a drum arrangement that taps deep into the foundations. Once again, the track relives its title's implications.

Finally, we sign out with a precision revision from Fuse resident Archie Hamilton who refixes the pace and density of 'Doctor High' with more of a driving peaktime aesthetic that remains fully respectful of the original's weight and clarity. More Than Material by nature, spirit and name.

Born and raised in the birthplace of House Music, Paul Johnson has released a vast amount of music for some of the most consistently underground dance labels before hooking up with Peacefrog. 12" releases on the likes of Cajual / Relief and Dance Mania led to his debut album release Bump Talkin in 1995. His remix work for Stacy Kidd, Joey Beltram, Green Velvet, Armando, CC Penniston, Ron Trent, K-Alexi, and Steve Poindexter amongst many others have made their way into all the big DJ's boxes, many of which remain there to this day. Paul's breakthrough moment arrived in 1999 with his International hit Get Down which is still heard in clubs and on the radio to this day. Paul Johnsons second Peacefrog album originally released in 1996 is a 90's house music masterpiece. Containing some of the classiest house to hail from the Windy City.
