Sardinian born, Berlin based producer Hubble is known to create implicitly ethereal moods. His way to keep people off guard as well as making a musical commitment through long excursion is unique to him. On this EP titles "La Rencontre" (eg. Meeting), he crosses paths with his Romanian friend Tulbure. Somehow managing simultaneous dissonance and concretion; 'La Rencontre' could be the soundtrack to both your birth and death. It is a boxer who's mastered the ring, and punch by punch you realize that it has you beat, but you are happy to wave a white flag and succumb to its presence.

The space in which the EP operates in is 360 degrees, tempos throb and the listener is transported to total darkness. Your only wish post listening, will be that you don't have to come back to the world.



Tulbure's track Condor is more of a mindcluster robotic swing that leaves you muted. While both tracks work together, this release is meant to be two variables of parallel worlds of these talented artists.

Pollyn celebrates the release of their forthcoming Anthology by digging in the vaults for a special DOUBLE A-Side 12 featuring two highly sought-after remixes from the elusive MOODYMANN. Kenny 'MOODYMANN' Dixon Jr has remixed Pollyn, not ONCE, but TWICE and now those hard-to-find remixes are together on one MASSIVE (remastered and pressed on 45rpm) 12. Copenhagen's Terry Tester (Brownswood / BBE) merges his love for Midwest house and cosmic funk butter on four-tracker 'Space Million' for Creak Inc., journeying through dream state deep house, gritty MPC workouts and low-end boogie territory for an undeniably original take on four-to-the-floor rhythms.

Within Terry Tester's two-decade long career as a turntablist and beatmaker his eminent take on house, hiphop and soul has been commissioned by Gilles Petterson for his 'Bubblers' compilation series on Brownswood Recordings, Jahi featuring american neo-soul singer Dwele, and Marc Mac (4Hero, Visioneers, Nu Era) on BBE remixing alongside DJ Jazzy Jeff, as well as releasing two full-length solo albums 'Horses and Diamonds' and 'Short Suite'.

Papa Don't Preach - he plays. A cross between Innervisions meets Age Of Love vibes with a twist of Isolee.. The track is huge in certain circles and now on mysterious and anonymous white label vinyl. Rumors has it ... start guessing - will be out officially end of the year

Things tend to move in circles until they are complete. Such is the case with WPH TEN-8. When FCL released their 'Cherry Pie E.P.' on Kai Alcé's NDATL label it was already decided that Kai Alcé would find a home on WPH as well. And with his absolutely stunning string of remixes of recent years in mind it made sense to ask Kai to take up remix duties for a new FCL release.

The result is a release that oozes soul all over. The original track is FCL's 'let's make a track and have great singers aka Lady Linn and Gustaph singing about house music'-moment and Kai's remix is...well...simply another amazing slice of soul from the man that can do no wrong. It's house music...as you should know it.

Up next on Phonica's main label we present Harrison BDP's 'Life Unlimited' 12'. Over the past few years Harry has burst onto the scene with a prolific run of releases for labels such as Lost Palms, Piff and Music Is Love, displaying a wide-ranging sonic palette whether it falls under classification as house, techno, electro, garage... or whatever else he turns his hand to! The 12''s lead track 'Life Unlimited' starts off as a euphoric italo-flavoured piano-house banger before breaking down into a bleep-tastic middle and back again. It hits all the right spots and will no doubt tick all the boxes for DJs looking for a sure-fire peak-time jam!
On the b-side the music takes a deeper turn with the immaculately produced dub-techno of 'Fish In The Tank' which is then followed by the stunning uk garage inspired 'It's All Good' - this one gets seriously under your skin! It's rare for a producer to nail such a variety of different styles on a single record, yet we feel this 12' truly underlines Harry's versatility yet still displaying his signature sound. Three very different tracks, all recognisably Harrison BDP.

The long musical tradition of electro-disco, Italo style, foregrounds Innervisions' newest release. Bringing together five producers for a celebration of their cosmic past and future-forward present, Romantico Disco EP is a resolutely Italian affair.

As a three-decade stalwart of the music scene in his native Sicily, Mauro Di Martino is best known and well- known for his house sound under the moniker Musumeci. Elsewhere the elusive, anonymous newcomer Phunkadelica has offered a fresh injection of rugged dimension and intergalactic groove since their 2017 debut. Uniting on the first half of this EP, Musumeci & Phunkadelica's talents merge in a playful, complex tug-of-war. 'Babilonia' is as abundant as its mythical name suggests, with a snaky groove and retro laser trails embedded in the framework of a modern house burner. The pair's second production, 'Velluto Blu,' means 'Blue Velvet', and is a moody and evocative take on dark, slow disco full of cinematic suspense.

On the record's B-side, alumni artists Stereocalypse, aka Olderic & Andrea Doria, return from the heights of 'Blue Dome Escargot,' as featured in the latest instalment of acclaimed Innervisions series Secret Weapons Part 10 . In similar spirit to the guitar licks that drove 'Blue Dome Escargot,' the first of the duo's Romantico Disco productions, 'Lone Solo Drummer,' focuses on the rhythmic capabilities of a percussive kit, joined with bass and sparkling synth stabs for a live band sound aesthetic. To complete the EP, Stereocalypse's second production, 'The Cunning Man' gazes across the sea to the Balearic Islands, and further beyond that to the cosmos, growing in size to engage its full intergalactic powers.

Here we see San Proper and The Mole make a welcome return to the imprint following solo EP's, this time they join forces with Hreno for a three track EP from the powerhouse trio.
Leading on the package is 'Friendly Tears' which features yet another leading figure in the house scene, Dekmantel regular Tom Trago, as you'd expect from such an impressive array of artists we're treated so soul drenched house driven by swinging organic drums, infectious funk licks and hooky synth lines before the 'Chunkless Mix' strips things back a little, laying focus solely on the 80's tinged synth work, delayed vocal murmurs and
minimalistic percussion.'On The Floor' then rounds out the package, retaining a similar aesthetic with choppy guitar melodies, penetrating bass stabs, crunchy rhythms and resonant arpeggio synths ebbing and flowing dynamically throughout.

It's taken a mere 12 years to get Simbad back on Freerange for his follow up to the 2006 Solar System release under his Mowgly moniker. Not that he's been scratching around looking for inspiration in that time.... the London based producer and DJ is one of the most prolific artists in the scene having notched up countless EP's edits, remixes and behind-the-scenes production work for labels like Apron, G.A.M.M. Faces, Hyperdub, Atjazz & Brownswood. His association with Gilles Peterson and Worldwide runs deep, hosting regular shows on WWFM as well as traversing the globe delivering his unique and eclectic sets from Africa to South Korea and beyond.

Collaboration plays a huge part in Simbad's musical output and for his new release for Freerange he teams up with South African vocalist Brian Temba, whose previous release together Come Join In dropped on Hi:Rise back in 2011. In it's original form Take My Hand is a sublime, forward-looking deep and soulful house track based around a filtering symphonic string loop, low-slung groove and heart-felt vocal. Simbad has created a very London-centric vibe but with a French touch and Detroit sensibilities, drawing from house heroes such as Parrish and Bradock, joining the dots and creating a fresh masterpiece in the process.

Next up we have Jimpster on the remix, picking up the BPM's slightly and loading up on his trademark deep stabs, sub-bass and spacious FX adding just enough dance-floor bump whilst leaving the vocal placed firmly at the core.

On the flip side we have two SMBD Zulu Edits which replace the more spartan groove of the original with some driving Afro percussion. The first version keeps the vocal intact, the second version goes balls deep into dub territory, closing out this amazing release with an instrumental pushing the strings and hypnotic groove front and centre.

Following on from David Morales' appearance on the label earlier this year, Rekids tap up Shed and Ryan Elliott for a pair of percussive reimaginations. Well known for remixes of the Thompson Twins, Shawn Christopher, Clive Griffin and the Pet Shop Boys, Morales' Red Zone moniker was conceived during the Def Mix legend's formative years at the renowned club sharing the same name.
50 Weapons and Monkeytown's Shed adopts his Head High alter ego for a remix that draws the original's vocals into the spotlight before planting thunderous kick drums beneath whilst dusty pads operate above. Meanwhile, Ostgut Ton affiliate Ryan Elliott crafts a reimagination that incorporates breaky percussion, a rumbling low end and sweeping astral synths.

Following their recent remix of KiNK's 'Perth' for Running Back, 17 Steps bosses Dusky present their first original productions of 2018 in the five-track Aset Forever EP.

Aset Forever is named in tribute to Jan Francis, a friend of Nick & Alfie who tragically lost his life late last year. Founder of the ATG graffiti crew and School Records (alongside Loefah) - Jan was responsible for Dusky's first London gigs both at ATG Warehouse parties and their Staunch residency at Corsica Studios.

Covering hard synth driven grooves, tranced-out Italo, proggy techno and blissed out breakbeat house, the five track EP keeps things strictly dancefloor focused - again showcasing the duo's unique ability to take a myriad of influences and wrestle them into new hybrids that sound their own.

Lead track 'Amongst The Gods' has been a standout across their sets this year. Taking shuffling breakbeat house rhythms, classic sunrise melodies and 90s rave vocals, it builds to an understated but infectious warehouse crescendo. The EP swiftly moves onto 'The Ace' - Striking at 130 BPM, 'The Ace' is a hard hitting surge of twisted sonics and clipped rave samples. A dark slab of warehouse tech, 'Staunch' follows, with rolling Reese basslines, 'ecstasy' samples and eerie sci-fi chords.

The second half of the EP sees Dusky take things deeper. 'Angles' is a blissed out wash of Detroit techno stabs and vintage house textures, before 'The Captain' rounds off the EP with punchy Italo basslines and icy synths.

Fresh from 1989... 3 classic Chicago acid tracks from the man like Gene Hunt. Re mastered and re pressed for 2015 in conjunction with Trax.

UNCAGE founder Marco Faraone debuts on Rekids, dropping four techno cuts on the label's Special Projects series this March.

The Italian producer has had a busy few years touring North America, South America and Europe, not to mention dropping releases on labels like Ovum and Tenax Recordings. Meanwhile his UNCAGE imprint, which he runs alongside Norman Methner, has quickly cemented a reputation for quality house and techno; releasing music from artists like Eduardo De La Calle, Pablo Mateo and Fabio Della Torre (under his Corcos moniker).

With its rolling percussion and a heady spoken word sample, 'Find The Song' introduces a quintessential Rekids record. Thunderous kick drums and piercing stabs then form the high-octane 'Arcane' before the dark and ominous 'Justice' demonstrates industrial elements and floating atmospherics. Tying it all together, tantalizing melodies join echoing effects for the final track titled 'Layers'.

UNCAGE founder Marco Faraone makes his second appearance on Rekids with a massive vocal cut entitled 'On My Way', featuring a remix from 50Weapons and Hyperdub's Addison Groove.

The Italian techno producer had an active year touring in 2017, dropping only one release on Tenax Recordings. However, 2018 is already proving to be one of his busiest on the production front, with releases appearing on Rekids Special Projects, On Edge Society and his own label UNCAGE, not to mention forthcoming appearances on Gigolo and Avotre. He now returns to Rekids with his biggest sounding record yet.

With its infectious vocal, rolling kicks and off-beat hats, it is undeniable that 'On My Way' is destined to become one of this year's most recognisable club tracks. On the flip, Bristolian producer and Swamp 81 affiliate Addison Groove has produced an intricate remix featuring a cacophony of percussion as a stuttering low-end joins chilling synths. Finally, Faraone concludes the package with a 'Dub Acid Rework', losing the vocals whilst incorporating heady 303 licks.

Fina Records strides into 2018 with another fresh new house EP, this time from PASO aka Pascal Pamme. Over the last few years this French artist has released on the likes of D.KO Records, Increase, and The Groove, and always showcases his knack for loose limbed, organic house grooves laden with jazzy keys and soul-infused synths. The four cuts he offers up here once again prove he is a producer with a truly authentic and musical style.

The warm and golden 'Idocracy' kicks things off with gently shuffling kicks, noodling chords and twinkling keys that together make for a perfectly cozy and intimate house track. 'Fuzy' is another perfectly louche and disheveled number with woody kicks stuttering beneath effusive Rhodes keys. Vinyl crackle and tinkling percussive sounds add to the immediately aged and lived in style of the track and mean it is one that will get smaller rooms well and truly involved.

On the flip, 'Limited Perception' ups the ante, with quicker drums decorated with more languid chords, plenty of smartly sampled sounds and a breezy sense of groove that is heartfelt and effortlessly feel good. Last of all, 'No Matter Where You're From' has great female vocals stitched into long-tailed pads as lazy, swaggering drums lay down a perfectly imperfect groove. It rounds out an EP of masterfully atmospheric house for those who like their beats with real feeling.

The man, the myth, the legend ... back in the 80s Jesse Rae, along with Roger Troutman and Bernie Worrell, was part of the P-Funk movement that was hugely influential to Detroit's early electronic experiments. Lesser known is that the enigmatic Scot-funk warrior later produced underground electronic tracks in the 90s. The inaugural release on Glasgow label Southside Shufflers presents two of Jesse's Shufflers on vinyl for the first time on the Global 95 EP- a sampler from his pioneering 1995 album 'Compression'. Ever the innovator, Jesse recorded the album collaboratively using live ISDN technology spanning three continents, with the resultant tracks fusing African, US electro-funk and old Scots influences. 23 years later, Jesse's under the radar Shufflers sound more relevant than ever.
Southside Shufflers are a record label and sports collective based in Glasgow with outposts in London and Amsterdam. SSS- ain't no half steppin'!

Matt Edwards' reissue label R-Time Records presents 'After Dark' this September with three tracks from Mark The 909 King.

Following reissues of excellent music by Sir Lord Commix, FBK and Sanasol (Thor & Yagya), Rekids offshoot R-Time Records now presents definitive cuts from Mark The 909 King. Debuting with the timeless 'Can You Dig It!' on Sex Trax in '94, the producer went on to release via a number of New York house legend DJ Duke's labels throughout the mid-nineties. A huge fan of DJ Duke since the 90s, Matt Edwards even held a Sex Mania night at Berghain in 2009 featuring a rare DJ performance from the Duke himself.

Alongside tracks by Roy Davis JR and Trackman (Jon Cutler), 'After Dark' featured as part of a VA release on the label DJ Exclusive, whilst 'Into Space' landed on Rated X Records, and 'The Loft' appeared on the 'Can You Dig It' album via Power Music Records.

'After Dark' set the tone of the package with a piercing drum groove, airy arpeggios and a funky bassline, before cosmic synths and crunchy snares work alongside scintillating chords in 'Into Space.' Concluding the package, 'The Loft' begins with a hooky bass sequence and filtered effects before soothing melodies come into play.

It'd be hard to start a label to take pot shots at the increasing cultural value placed on popularity over talent, and then name the participants, right

Some try it with mouth-to-mouth insufflation and cardiac massage. Others with

Every two years, when life newly blossoms during spring, Live At Robert Johnson opens its windows widely, lets new music out and fresh air into the house. The beguiling scent of nature and aviation fuel blends with the scent of sweat and dry ice fog - and causes sundry healing confusion. As soon as the first tone of the Lifesaver Compilation 3 is heard, the swelling grunt of Vincent Feit's 'X04', the scenery of the dancefloor right at the Main river appears before one's eyes.
On Saint Monday Iconoclasts rebel against the age of self-optimization. A crack goes through the parquet of the dance floor (or the dancing party itself). The post-unambiguities era is beginning. The images become blurred. Bass case. Alternative facts. Resonance hole. No reception. And then it's only the queue answering the club emergency hotline. Finally there is a buzz on the line. The Lifesaver 3 Compilation, the yet most comprehensive package of the lifesaver history, sounds like electro, sharp-edged like the vault in a Hague bunker (Lauer), provides data pop with piano crescendo (Fort Romeau), brings the style characteristics of German Schlager music to the breakdance mat (Rolande Garros), lets the bulky lily-of-the-valley bells clang and sends the reverb tails away with the wind (Benedikt Frey). There are several new names to discover: Felix Strahd, Benjamin Milz, Vincent Feit; and of course there a many old acquaintances: Massimiliano Pagliara, Orson Wells, TCB, Chinaski. And Fort Romeau feels 'Lost, Again', but in such somnambulistically beautiful manner that you want to get lost with him instantly and jointly find the great joy.

Bristol's Milo Johnson aka DJ Nature has long been the man for those lowdown, dusted-out late night jams that simply ooze soul and atmosphere.
Having released music on myriad quality labels including Jazzy Sport, Golf Channel, Future Boogie and more, he felt it was time to craft a solid platform specifically for his own sonic explorations. A true craftsman and someone who would rather let his music do the talking FWD EVR is that platform, and this, the maiden voyage on the label sees us welcomed into Milo's sound-world, where across 4 beautifully crafted cuts we feel soul, deep house and hip-hop vibes and sensibilities bristle with creative energies well into the wee small hours.

Released via Gigi's aforementioned World Peace Music imprint, the stunning Rio Grande is exactly the sort of release you'd imagine would make an impression in the sets of many of the world's knowledgable DJs. Inspired by and dedicated to Puerto Rico's El Yungue National Forest, it came about as a result of Gigi's many sound excursions to the stunning part. Recording nature sounds and always looking to unique places for inspiration, the release is presented by two versions: one deeper, electronic version and another that's more leaning toward latin jazz pastures.
First up is the quite exquisite sounds of the Rio Grande (Space Version). A bouncing house gem that's imbued with charm from the get-go, this one is a firm dancefloor groover that's sure to get floors smiling and dancing in unison. The sort of track you can't but love, it rolls to a quite brilliant crescendo, and is full of joy from the off. A complete dancefloor anthem that's undoubtedly going to turn heads very soon.
On the flip side we have the sounds of the 'Jungle' version. This one is more stripped back but retains the original's good-time baseline. Another joyous interpretation, it provides the spine of the Space Version, and is a lethal jam in its own right with a series of manic horns and electric guitar licks that lend it an almost rock and roll aesthetic and lift it to higher planes in the process. Distributed by Joe Claussell's Atypical Dopeness, this is music with serious heart and personality.

Gifted Culture collective is ready to unleash the second jam session of the announced trilogy. GMI Jam Venice comes from the filth and the mug of the abandoned ex-industrial area in the outskirts of Venice. There, Autre and Two Thou invade Hawaiian Chips' top-notch studio, where all together ride 70's synthesizer rarities and try to domesticate the monstrous Yamaha CS 80. This jam, inspired by the post-industrial Venetian scenario, dives between the dreams of archetypal electronic music and reminiscences of psychedelic progressive bands, giving birth to two long journeys ready to gently carry the dance floor into the outer space.

Seth Troxler & The Martinez Brothers' Tuskegee Music welcomes a standout dance music innovator with a new EP from Chicago great Jamal Moss.

Moss is best known as Hieroglyphic Being, an artist who cooks up raw, inventive, rule breaking tracks and live sets of techno, house, and acid. His uncompromising style is informed by having grown up seeing the likes of Ron Hardy play at the legendary Muzic Box in his native Chicago. He runs the esteemed Mathematics label and is hugely prolific as well as being an artist who very much does things on his own terms, much to the delight of global press and his hardcore fanbase alike.

This double pack vinyl release opens up with the uniquely raw deep house of 'Salvation is the Cure', featuring icy hi hats and jacking drums which all have a live and authentic sound. A skewed acid line sprays about for extra ruggedness and distant chords bring a sense of futurism to the whole thing. 'The Bad Blood' is a majestic track of tumbling drums and off kilter percussive sounds all backed by exquisite synth work that exudes a pained sense of soul. It's loose limbed and dynamic, always evolving and featuring the sort of killer bassline that will send clubs wild.

Title track, 'R-Spirits Will Not Be Broken' then ups the ante with knackered, hard hitting drums that are frazzled and lo-fi, spinning hi hats that teeter on the edge of all out chaos. It's a bristling, edgy brew of in your face sounds that will blow the roof off whenever it's dropped. Last of all, 'The Low End Theories' is six more minutes of impressively instinctive, scuffed up drums, hits and twisted cosmic melodies. It sounds like chaos at first, but over time patterns emerge and you cannot help but be consumed by the strange beauty of it all.

This is a typically unique and expressive house offering from one of the most innovative names in the game.

Meda Fury is excited to welcome back San Jose native and Berlin resident Lady Blacktronika with a double-pack of DJ tools and dance floor weapons.
She's been keeping busy since her last EP for Meda Fury - releasing on labels such as Discwoman, Bass Culture, Skylax and Paula Temple's techno imprint Noise Manifesto.
She also made important festival appearances this year at Nuits Sonores and Dimensions.

'Wax Cylinder Only' serves as a multi purpose release for Lady B. Part DJ tool doublepack, deep cuts compilation and bonus material collection.
Disc 1 contains four unreleased dancefloor weapons for DJ's, showcasing the tougher end of her signature 'deep and hard' sound.
From opener 'Perception's pumping Italo synths and vintage sci-fi effects, to 'Body Move's classic US house riffs and deep club bounce.
Over on the flip 'Love Room' is a tracky late night low end tech-house tool, while 'How I Learned' finishes with a combination of motorik percussion, undulating bass and bleeps with soulful intonations.
For Disc 2 we've handpicked four of her previously released digital only tracks for a vinyl-only first time on wax reissue.
From labels such as Your Only Friend, Little Angel and her own Sound Black.
The twisted abstract warp of 'Pursuit Of Trackiness', and impossibly heavy funk strut of 'Children Of The Ghetto', also the layered R&B samples versus percussion tool of 'Mummy Bells', and finishing with the epic ambient horizon of 'Never Everything (Beatdownbient Mix)'.

London producer-duo, Wayward, are back after blowing us away with their marvelous "Good Afternoon Mr Magpie" EP. Wayward have a knack for bridging the gap between the dancefloor and the more soulful side of electronic music, with support across the radio airwaves from the likes of Giles Peterson on BBC Radio 1, 6 Music, KCRW, Beats In Space and Rinse FM.
Wayward's most recent release, the "Green Lanes" EP is another milestone for the rising duo. The EP opener 'Green Lanes' (co-written with London producer Books) is a dance floor ready tune with a hypnotic bassline and the perfect amount of cowbell. 'Maxi Love' brings the disco heat with an edit of a timeless classic, reinterpreted for late night escapades. On the B side, 'Time and Again' is a breezy house banger and the closing track 'Silver' is reminiscent of Wayward's signature sound, blending samples in seamlessly with warm percussive elements.

Sombrero Galaxy (also known as Messier Object 104, M104 or NGC 4594) is an unbarred spiral galaxy in the constellation Virgo located 31 million light-years (9.5 Mpc)(2) from Earth. The galaxy has a diameter of approximately 50,000 light-years, 30% the size of the Milky Way. It has a bright nucleus, an unusually large central bulge, and a prominent dust lane in its inclined disk. The dark dust lane and the bulge give this galaxy the appearance of a sombrero. Astronomers initially thought that the halo was small and light, indicative of a spiral galaxy, but Spitzer found that the halo around the Sombrero Galaxy is larger and more massive than previously thought, indicative of a giant elliptical galaxy.(3) The galaxy has an apparent magnitude of +9.0, making it easily visible with amateur telescopes, and it is considered by some authors to be the brightest galaxy within a radius of 10 megaparsecs of the Milky Way. Its large bulge, its central supermassive black hole, and its dust lane all attract the attention of professional astronomers.
