Alma Negra are back on Heist! After their much applauded 2017 release with that great Soulphiction remix, they've been rather busy taking over the scene. They started their new label 'Alma Negra records' where they released 3 ep's in quick succession, with new as well as older material that showcases their tropical roots and keen ear for clubby reworks. They launched their live show, doing gigs across Europe with a highlight at one of London's more intimate live venues: the Jazz Café. Their latest outing -making their release count a total of 4 in only 8 months - was on Marcel Vogel's Lumberjacks in Hell and explored the more live / rework side of their project. Now they're back on Heist with 3 new tracks, supported by an Awanto 3 remix. 'Conversation' is a track we wanted to put out on Heist badly, simply because it's a beast of a track. It sits somewhere between a live African drum track, percussive techno and moody Midwest electronics, with pads and strings coming in and out of play while a relentless kick drum keeps the energy on a haunting level. This track is Alma Negra at their filthiest, and it feels like they've taken a next step from last year's dark and heavy Luanda dub, bringing it from an intimate dreamy stage straight into the main room. 'This is the place' shows a different side of the house spectrum with the Alma's love for dreamy deep house. The track flows up and down, with soothing Rhodes chords, arpeggio's and mumbling vocals setting a summery mood that's perfect for your warm up or daytime party. Meanwhile, their third original track 'From the heart' goes even deeper and navigates around a smart vocal loop topped with strings, bleeps, claps and rimshots that just keeps going.

This is already our seventh Deep Love compilation and we dare to say our most complete yet in sound and flow. The ten pieces on this sampler blend in perfectly with that laid back 'late' summer mood. We are very pleased to welcome yet again some new acts to Dirt Crew with the likes of 'Jaxx Madicine', 'Ouer', 'Times are Ruff' and 'S3A'. We cross many borders not only in genres but also country wise. From the heavy Disco sampled jam by French producer 'S3A' to the Jazz and Funk laden epos of the Italian 3 piece 'Jaxx Madicine' over to the Dutch deep house boys 'Times Are Ruff' who are well known from their, same named, label and finally to the Berlin duo 'Ouer' who also run an own label and released with our good friends at 'Heist Recordings', delivering an ecstatic electronic floating tune here.

This is all completed by some excellence from long time Dirt Crew artists. '25 Places' have been with us for many years now and their two Ep's have gotten so much love from the deeper deep house community. Here they drop an epic almost IDM techno like tune that closes this great album in the best possible way. Our Icelandic stall wart 'Felix Leifur' drops a heavy hitter named 'Buster'. After his recent 'Bobby Donny' Ep earlier this year we are thrilled to have him back on Dirt Crew! 'Harry Wolfman' and 'Ponty Mython' need no introduction really, they are adding Electro/ Disco/ Electronica fuelled cuts that form a great middle part to this mix of tunes. Harry going in very smooth and relaxed, something else than his usual House workout which we really loved to present to you. 'Ponty Mython' drops an irresistible 'good times' indie acid track in his unique 'free' style.

Last, we must of course not forget 'Dan Only' and key wizzard 'Lorenz Rhode'! With another beautifully smooth cut 'Dan Only' follows up on his latest debut Ep with us. Again a smart cross over in Techno and House with a distinct relaxed groove and atmosphere to it. Lorenz is back 'On Top' here after his super successful first offering to the Deep Love series last year and his 'And I Said' EP which stormed many charts. In the middle of touring and working with Detroit Swindle on their 'High Life' album we are super happy that he found the time to make another gem with that raw n funky live feel to it... We couldn't have started this compilation off with a better joint than 'Marakuja'.

The Alishan Forest Railway is a 86 km network of narrow-gauge railways running through the forests of Alishan Mountain in Chiayi County, Taiwan. During the Spring months, the iconic red train passes through an endless array of cherry blossoms and small, untouched villages. This peaceful scene is set in contrast to the stories told by locals, of wandering spirits seen deep in the forest. The spirits are believed to be the lost souls of the 32 passengers, who perished in the tragic derailment of the train in 1981.

Blair French returns to Rocksteady Disco after last year's brilliant Standing Still Is An Illusion for another 12' of mind, body, and soul music. 'Public Park' starts off the release, with flutes, guitars, and African marimbas abound, presenting itself as the song of the summer. 'Spirit Guides' follows, taking listeners and dancers on a spiritual afro jazz odyssey. The flip features two versions of 'Public Beach', a communal ecstatic dance meets Detroit Jit footwork cut with a massive bassline, pulsing percussion, and harmonized chanting, constructed for open-minded dance floors and deejays. Groove heavy synth funk reminiscent of DMX Krew and dreamy string- laden rhythms suggestive of standout tracks on Carl Craig's 'More Songs About Food And Revolutionary Art' occupy side A. The flip side is filled with deeper dance floor friendly tracks sonically reminiscent
of the Transmat catalog along with an injection of uptempo tech-house swing elements evocative of Akufen's 'Skidoos.'
Recorded in the winter of 2011 in Metro Detroit, 'More Than A Mara- thon' marks the debut release for Super Public. Predominantly re- corded with analog hardware, the EP has an innate familiarity while still maintaining a focus on the 2012 marketplace.
Rudi Thornburgh has been independently producing electronic music for over 10 years under various names but, most notably, Clocklife. Brett Cimbalik has been playing jazz guitar for the better part of his music career and has transferred his chordal knowledge to synth guitar and electronic production. Together, they form a sound reminiscent of the golden days of Detroit Techno while still exploring new terrain and bridging new ideas.

Inventive and genre-defying are only a few adjectives that describe producer/dj/artist Waajeed. After all, Waajeed -- born Robert O'Bryant IV in Detroit in 1975 -- grew up in Detroit's Conant Gardens, the birthplace of soul driven hip-hop underground music. His earliest memories are of evenings spent in his dining room on the eastside of Detroit listening to his father's record collection. A childhood immersed in Roy Ayers, Funkadelic, and Kraftwerk. He would eventually teach himself to program beats and play records at local house parties and school dances. But it wasn't until he found his chosen family at the age of 14 that Waajeed finally gained local respect. His new family was—T3, Baatin, and J Dilla— to form Slum Village circa 1991.

After receiving a full scholarship to The College for Creative Studies at the age of 19, Jeedo put aside his budding music career to pursue an education in art. While in college, he continued to develop his musical career by starting a record label inspired by Motown and Underground Resistance.

He founded Bling47 to release one of the first instrumental series, while also serving as a creative space for developing artists. In search of a wider audience, he formed genre defining Platinum Pied Pipers in 2002. In 2012 he formed his second record label DIRT TECH RECK to explore his more dance floor oriented music.

To this day Waajeed is still a sought after producer and collaborator with the likes of Mad Mike Banks, Theo Parrish and Amp Fiddler.
He continues to push the envelope as a producer and with his eclectic DJ sets.

Art Alfie joined the Toy Tonics crew ! You know him from Studio Barnhus. He released his album last on Axel Boman's label last year and a couple of hot tracks with longtime partner Mr. Tophat before that.

His first EP for Toy Tonics features 3 of the sweetest bangers he did till now. What a wonderful vibe! And the remix ... Killer. By Stockholm's amazing newcomers Mount Liberation Unlimited (who just released an EP on Permanent Vacation).

Art Alfie is busy these days: besides his involvement with Toy Tonics he started a own label (Velvet Pony). Even if you might know him mainly from the kick-Ass dancefloor stuff he has been doing with Karlovak and the Studio Barnhus gang - there is some more complex background here: Alfie used to play in hardcore and psychedelic bands and has a real golden hand when it comes to work with musicians. In fact currently he is also producing some stuff for Swedish supergroup/hotshot band, Off The Meds'!

Ahu's debut album from 2017, 'Nord Dream', was something of an overlooked gem from that year, but its musical palette of dubwise techno and ambient sounds caught the ears and enthusiasm of many. Danny Clancy was one such admirer, and in turn brings Ahu's sophisticated sounds to his Dichotomy Records label for the 'Atlas' EP.

Collating three tracks of pure and untethered house and techno, the 'Atlas' EP shifts tempos and moods with ease, from the celestial rhythms of 'Skyway', the pipe dreams of 'Mpale' to the 909 swing and the seraphic pads of 'Searching'.

Circle Of Live is a brand new, live act only event series concept and record label curated by Sebastian Mullaert to honour the values of spontaneity and improvisation.

For the inaugural release on the new Circle Of Live imprint, Sebastian Mullaert presents a joint EP with long time collaborator Eitan Reiter. The duo previously met on the 2014 album 'Reflections of Nothingness', (Mule Musiq) borne out of a week long jam spent together at Sebastian's tranquil Ro¨sta°nga studio. Following the album's release, they arranged two live shows at Ozora festival in Hungary.

For the first year the collaboration was mostly based on Sebastian's music with Eitan adding jams on top. For the second year, Eitan felt inspired to set up a more improvised live set, enabling a more spontaneous performance. Then, unexpectedly, Sebastian lost all his gear on the flight and the live show took a completely different turn. This time, the show relied more on Eitan's music, with Sebastian jamming on top. Eitan had prepared simple sketches to jam around, similar to the way in which Sebastian plays. One of the sketches, "Loop for Today", later became one song on Eitan's album called 'Give it Life'. Eitan asked Sebastian to remix this song.

Sebastian accepted the remix invitation with the request to continue honoring improvisation and creativity, but instead of a normal remix it became an adventure out to the Dead Sea after Sebastian's gig at the Block Festival 2017. Eitan invited Ben Kirschenbaum to take care of the cameras and two more friends to carry gear and PA. As a result, the remix is an on the spot jam out in the desert ... one take while the sun is going down. No time to think or plan, only the option to surrender to the situation and let creativity run its course. This is the ethos of Circle of Live in general, regardless of whether the expression is happening on stage or in the studio. Let it happen! Let it Be! Feel it.

Back in the dense Swedish woodland, Sebastian made two more remixes under his Wa Wu We moniker. For the 'Live In The Woods' remix he restructures the expansive synthwork of the original in enclosed surroundings, whilst the 'Live By The Clouds' interpretation looks upwards for a disorienting, dubbed out trip.

'The main intention with Circle of Live is to inspire people to improvise; let their life be an improvisation; a spontaneous expression of life. In one perspective this is a concept with clear visions and definitions but at the same time the core aim of the project is to allow both us, the artists, and the audience to drop concepts and habitual patterns in the creative process of dance and music.'

Producer Gavin Hardkiss offers a transcendental sound echoing the '90s with four cuts from the Hawke album Love In Stars.

The Belfast based DJ & producer, Garry McCartney, otherwise known as EJECA, has been steadily and consistently building his sound and profile over time, through a series of impressive releases for Aus Music, Unknown To The Unknown, W&O Street Tracks, BPitch Control and Last Night On Earth, amongst others.

EJECA carves out an energetic slab of audacious party house on 'Unloving', resplendent with rolling beats and stabby chords, and topped off with dramatic strings and vocal chops. Elsewhere on the EP, EJECA unleashes some 303 bassline action and dark vocals on 'Standard Acid House Track', which thankfully rises well above anything standard! And on 'Crystal Maze', EJECA harks back to the darker dance energies that were a staple of the late 1980s UK acid house boom. Wrapping up the EP, 'ISWHATIS' gets ever so slightly twisted with an orbiting synth hook and weighty stabs over a spirited rhythm section.

In 1989, an Italo-house act Sueño Latino released a self titled track, which went on to become one of the most revered electronic music records of all time. Louis Botella is now set to release a sensational remake on Emerald City this September.
The track itself samples part of Manuel Göttsching's influential E2-E4, an album known for its role in the development of house and techno. Fast forward to 2018 and the record is again set to be revived thanks to Louis Botella, and with the blessing and support of Göttsching and Expanded Music.On his interpretation of the track, Louis has stayed true to the original, replaying each part and adding an extra dimension to the tracks through a sparkling piano topline, a new vocal hook and dreamy arpeggiations. Louis' passion for the art of DJing was sparked from a young age. At sixteen he got his first gig at a club in Luxemburg and released his first record in 1998. Since then, he's released on respected labels such as Classic Music Company, Ovum Records and Poker Flat Recordings.

Die Orakel presents two Edward reinterpretations of new age-ambient excursions by German composer Rolf Trostel, originally recorded in 1982.

He has now teamed up with Flat White Records to bring you an EP that proves that Felipe is definitely one to watch! Deep Fried Banana ft Vagabundo Club Social The title track gets off to a seemingly tame start, engulfing the listener with a combination of Rhodes, percussion and vocals. However this doesn't last for long.. The track then erupts into what is a sure fire dance floor destroyer!

Here we have a track that showcases what Felipe is known for, working his magic with jazz samples. Groove 37 features dreamy piano riffs, paired with sharp percussion and stabs of one of Felipe's many synthesizers. These are all pulled together by a huge bassline that you cant help but groove to.
The track features a vocal sample which gives instructions on how to dance.. Like you need any help with this one! Fighting Momios with Acid and Jazz After an almost hypnotic start, a thumping kick and crunchy bass soon turn this track into a bit of a stomper. Just as you get going, Felipe has yet again worked his wizardry by including some romantic piano samples which continue throughout. A lazy brass solo is the final ingredient in what is one hell of a tasty track. 707 Banger

Deep Fried Banana (The Last Trip To Gandahar Remix)
City Fly and Leicester's very own "The Last Trip To Gandahar" has worked his magic on the title track to come up with what can almost be described as a very classy, disco dub. By chopping and changing elements of the original, "Last Trip" has created a builder that eventually peaks with a trance inducing mix of percussion, vocals and chords, before throwing you back into the disco stomper that it once was.

Here it is some fresh spring vibes created by Guydee. Everywhere EP will dip you in to the true house sound. Also you will find dub version by Chocky and mystic interpretation by Sofist.Enjoy!

MAPS is a project by a London-based Lithuanian drummer and producer, Marijus Aleksa. This labour of love is the culmination of many hours spent touring and in-session with some of the greats of London's bubbling contemporary jazz scene, resulting in Marijus's first solo project to date. The EP combines elements of jazz, afrobeat and electronic music through free-form jamming and remixing, with movement and the dance floor firmly in mind.

Musicians featured on the record have been playing and recording with likes of The Sun Ra Arkestra, Blue Lab Beats, Tony Allen, Mark de Clive Lowe, Ibibio Sound Machine, Seun Kuti, Matthew Herbert and many others.

The record has received air play and support from the likes of Bradley Zero, Marshmello, Aaron L and Ashley Henry to name but a few.

Floorpiece is the North Wales based vinyl only label dedicated to the deeper and minimal spectrum of House music.

Autre fell asleep in a gondola and awoke in the Krankenhaus. This is his first offering for the ESP Institute. Side A's Everybody In The Past is sharp techno aimed for the alleys of your mind — gritty, driving, and melodic combinations of blown-out drums and classic electro riffs that relentlessly sprint for a good 4 minutes before a squelching arpeggio and angelic solo kick in — tugging the heartstrings and lighting a beacon for those noble morning dancers lost at the front left speaker, channeling from the deep. On Side B, Frigo completely dismantles any expectations you might have after listening to its predecessor. An undoubtedly seductive Samba rhythm comprised of distant snares, rim shots and cowbells holds together an aggressively active bassline, a steel drum harmony and synth solo that crawl all over like a funky worm. This track is truly something special, a gift for the prodigious selector — when dropped in the deserved context, it has the potential to unlock unprecedented levels of euphoria. These two songs are as fluid as a paintbrush yet precise as a scalpel.
