For their third release Clandestino step into the light themselves to present two original cuts. Here, shades of classic Chicago and Detroit complement a modern production aimed at discerning dance-floors. 'Another Horizon' has a heady late-eighties feel; ascending sunrise chords and gentle keys swell organically giving way to a burbling 303 line.'Quiet Storm' quickens the tempo; rattling 707 drums set the tone eventually revealing a stripped down bass groove while a teasing Juno arp weaves in and out giving way to a devastating piano hook.
Fresh from his recent work with Lizards on Leng Music and Futureboogie and a solo outing on Man Power's MeMeMe imprint, James Hadfield's version of 'Another Horizon' is a warm, pulsating blissed out re-interpretation; not unlike Larry Heard's deeper moments. The always reliable Pete Herbert turns in a shimmering house rework of 'Quiet Storm'. Moog bass stabs bedrock an italo style rhythm section and boogie guitar licks while the piano hook of the original is given more presence before breaking down into a pure dance-floor moment.

Very happy to have Henry Wu and Earl Jeffers debuting on MCDE Recordings this fall with their double Sider "Projections/Hi-Life".
Both Pablo Valentino and myself have been fans of their work, be it Henry and Earls solo stuff or the highly adventurous Yussef Kamaal project which Henry introduced 2 years ago.
These guys take the London sound to a whole new level and we are very proud to have them doing their thing on our label.

Jonny Rock a familiar face on the London house and disco scenes is recognized by many for working behind the counter at Phonica Records & Blackmarket Records during the 00's and as the dude for playing the guitar in 'Freaks' project. Rock skillfully joins the dots between the old school house, underground disco and boogie vibes in a party setting.

'Me Me Me is two... and in keeping with the name it seemed that I had no choice but to put out what is only my second ever release on my own label since launching with the debut release 'Tachyon' back in 2016.
(It's also the labels 13th release too. Spooooooky)

So here it is, a double A Side...
Side A is 'Valhalla' which attempts to be as majestic as the name suggests.
Side AA has 'Fidelity", which is me channelling big room house as much as I can, while trying to keep ahold of whatever heart strings I can tug on.
I'll let you judge if I've achieved what I'd set to do with either.

James Dexter's star has been rising for a while now - the young Brit turning out killer tracks regularly on the back of hugely well received DJ sets. On his second outing for Dessous Recordings, Dexter does what he does best - four slices of deep, funky and vibing house music for the floor. Lead track 'Drift' is typical of Dexter's flair for subtle, edgy sounds, wrapped inside a warm and inviting groove. Elements come and go, but the shuffling, infection feel runs throughout. 'Take Me' is a more upfront vibe with a seriously bumping groove - Dexter clearly well versed in the roots of house music from Chicago. 'Whose Rules ' is a snappy, bright and lively production, with a sub bass that will troubler some of the world's best club systems in the coming months. The light, jazzy vocals offsets the groove perfectly - sure to be a big tune for a wide variety of DJs. The last track of the release is 'Disco Deep' - and it pretty much does exactly what it says - a swung, groovy feel punctuated by disco claps and balearic flourishes that will sound as good on the beach as in the basement.

Fresh from London, Fulham young blood Joe Corti starts a new London imprint, China White. The first entry to the catalog is a four track EP coming from himself: reprising the filtered disco house vibes that caught ears on his past releases on the A-side; and ditching the samples to flex a darker, deeper side on the B. The label will be a solid home for productions from Joe and like-minded fellow friends.

After his releases for White and Aim, Sebastian Genz aka Moomin gets ready for his debut album on Smallville Records in late autumn 2011, this time with a remix done by his buddy Oskar Offermann of White.

Four slow-burning bombs that perfectly encapsulate how far that Slow Motion, slo-mo sound can be stretched. Featuring artists old as Alien Alien (Rodion & Hugo Sanchez) and Lerosa and new as Stoned Immaculate (Leo Mas & Fabrice and Max Essa) and Kassiel, Slow Motion drop the energy down a notch or two but not the emotion. Just as suitable for an early morning run as they are for a Balearic sunset, this four tracker has got essential written all over it.

Time for some gentlemen cuts - again! Quintessentials spotted some hot european talents and welcomes Kian-T, Replica, Giovanni Damico and Kolja Gerstenberg to the family. Expect some freakyness, some funkyness, some deep basslines and some dope beats. And a lot of coolness. 4 cuts not to be missed! Thank you.

Organic in both sound and nature, 'Konkahs' is a product of the producer's extensive musical exploration up to this point and a creation of fineness. With just snippets of Garvey's delicious voice lacing the track, focus remaing on the slick instrumental layers of a dreamy bassline, ambient, jazzy keyboard melodies and vivid percussion. Each one as divine as the next and all carried by a chilled 111 BPM tempo. CB describes the 'Be-Side' as the 'bubble and squeak' of the EP, using up any 'left overs' from the single. With 12 minutes of gorgeous simplicity and woozygrooves, it seems the 'Be-Side' is as integral to the identity of the EP as the A-side.

Autoreply begins its 10th year with a 12" from one of the scenes favourite ambassadors, Dana Ruh. Equally happy co-running Brouqade and her own Cave Recordings, dropping LP's for Underground Quality or stepping up to Ostgut Ton & Cocoon, hers is a story of emotive, reduced floor-theory. The "Round 2 Reel EP" delivers three such movements kicking-off with an undeviatingly playable A-Side displaying her prowess for swinging, stripped-back house complete with discreet sound design and compulsory bass. The B-Side concentrates on the deeper, dubbier aspect of her sound displaying unparalleled levels of warmth and texture. Written & produced at Polynomstudio, Berlin, recorded to tape for your listening pleasure!

House heaven on 12-inch. A lofty description, but one that fits Most Excellent Unlimited's latest offering perfectly. In 1990, Boy George and Simon Rogers (The Fall) made a record called 'Generations Of Love' for George's post-Culture Club project, Jesus Loves You. Legendary NYC DJ and producer Bruce Forest was one of several big names brought in to do a set of remixes, and the Better Days veteran got to work on several contrasting versions of the cut. The mixes heard here, done at London's famed Olympic Studios, are slices of utter ecstasy for anyone who has a taste for '90s deep house euphoria and ambient dancefloor excursions, but were unfortunately lost amongst the countless alternate mixes.

Suffice to say, MEU is taking matters into our own hands and has remastered and properly packaged these tracks, directly sourced from Forest himself, with the full intention to give this erstwhile dollar-record the respect it deserves.

The Jazz Mix opens with a winding piano solo by Andy Whitmore (Spandau Ballet, Terence Trent D'Arby, Soul II Soul) that lures the listener into a hypnotic groove that could quite comfortably go on forever but here is constrained by our modesty and the 12-inch format. (A tip for the adventurous DJ: flipped to 33RPM the tune becomes an epic balearic chugger, a late-night psylocibic alternative for the heads.) The synth-heavy sounds of the Ambient Mix on the flip side harken back to the chill-out rooms of the '90s but twenty-some years later bring the best kind of vintage charm.

The third release of WPTMWL collective will focus on the two young resident djs: Luminer. Deep influences, dubby house and Detroit are the essential ingredients of the EP, along with two amazing remixes.. The Icelandic techno legend Thor - widely-known for projects such as Sanasol, for its historic Thule label and for its recent reissues released by Sushitech. And then Hiver, resident djs of Dude Club in Milan and leaders within the famous Curle Records, coming full circle with their remix with break and acid influences. Don't miss it.

Pushing at the edges which define techno, afro and deep house these three tracks bring fresh heat to the dancefloor, creating an ethereal mood whilst delivering maximum power and energy. If paired down, minimal electronic percussive sounds are your thing, lead track Ligai will tick all the boxes. Stina follows with driving, syncopated beats and a killer pan-pipe riff to hook you in. Closing the record Sand brings a deeper, atmospheric track loaded with floating M1 textures, warm bass and spirited percussion fills. All in all a highly effective and inventive slice of wax with a voguish twist to groove to.

An evergreen disco-funk-calypso record, Bunny Mack's 'Let Me Love You' from 1980 was the first commercial hit for the Sierra-Leone-born composer and is now available alongside remixes by DJ Gregory and Moplen on this unmissable 12' vinyl package. Perfectly suited to DJ Gregory's world fusion sensibilities, he worked a remix for Defected in 2008, laying down additional percussion and emphasizing the electric guitar riffs. Italian DJ and vinyl junkie Moplen introduces organ chords and synths in keeping with Bunny Mack's Afro roots on his brand-new remix Discolypsomix. Completed by an Accapella version courtesy of Bunny Mack himself, this is another stellar lightbulb moment of rediscovery from 4 To The Floor.

Richy Ahmed's agenda setting Four Thirty Two label welcomes back Jansons and the Senzala duo for two terrific tracks that are designed to detonate the dance floor.

London duo Senzala is made up of Jonni Santos and Sam Holland, a pair who have impressed with their inventive sounds and rich musical palettes on labels like Pets Recordings and forthcoming releases on No. 19. Fellow Londoner Jansons, meanwhile, has been tipped as one to watch, with numerous plays of his recent releases on Four Thirty Two, Knee Deep In Sound and VIVa across all the BBC radio specialist dance shows.

Both these artists released individually on Four Thirty Two in 2017 making a real impression, now they combine their considerable skills on this excellent two track single.

Opening up in brilliantly arresting fashion is 'JNZ', a big-hearted house track with bouncy rubber kicks and scattered percussion, bringing a loose sense of funk to the groove. Perfectly soulful, pitch shifted vocals (from Margaret Grace, for the spotters out there) bring an inescapable 'hands in the air' vibe that's already tearing up some of the more discerning dancefloors out there, and already big with jocks like Jamie Jones, Richy Ahmed, Hot Since 82 and many more.

On the flip is 'Aura', with its razor sharp hi hats and exuberant drums molding an expertly functional track. Withering sci-fi synths shoot through the mix as frazzled chords bring more energy and atmospherics to this full fat house banger!

Madhouse Records presents 'Kerri Chandler (Remixed)' this February, a package including remixes by Detroit Swindle, Josh Butler, Peggy Gou and Jimpster.Since Kerri Chandler founded Madhouse Records twenty-five years ago, it has been a reputable outlet for high quality house music, 'Kerri Chandler (Remixed)' sees the house music icon's work remixed by some of the scenes most exciting DJ's and producers. Heist Recordings helming duo Detroit Swindle continue to establish themselves with regular bookings across the world whilst Josh Butler has become a revered name in house music with releases on Defected, Kaoz Theory, and his own imprint Origins Records, Peggy Gou has become a highly in-demand artist with her productions being picked up by Radio Slave's seminal imprint Rekids and Jimpster's twenty-year career has seen the release of three LP's and a plethora of singles on his very own Freerange Records.
Detroit Swindle's take on 'Get out' utilises Kerri Chandler's own infectious vocal samples from the original, the inaugural release on Madhouse back in 1992, ethereal pads and intriguing synthesiser motifs underpinned by an gritty bass hook. Josh Butler contributes gripping vocal licks and hypnotic chord progressions on top of shuffling percussion and a grooving low-end with his remix of 'I Got That Feelin'.
Peggy Gou's remix of 'I Need You' offers up an array of intertwining melodies with acidic overtones which float above sharp cymbal work and crisp snares before Jimpster's take on 'Powder' provides warped samples from the original, evolving synthesiser motifs and crunching house drums to close the release. Madhouse Records Presents 'Kerri Chandler Remixed' drops on Madhouse Records on 9th February 2018 (Vinyl Only).
