Volume 5 of FROM CHICAGO TO DETROIT compiled by JORDAN FIELDS, who starts off with "YOU MAKE ME FEEL" sounding very Detroit. NASTYBOY goes Italo with "ALL NIGHT LONG". The B side introduces fresh cuts by MIDNIGHT MUSIC CLUB, KAIJO and MAXI AUBERT all getting JORDAN's edit treatment.

Out of nowhere, here comes Villee with his debut EP chock full of dancefloor gems. From the very first listen we knew we had something special that we needed to release on Pressed For Time. It's a difficult thing to reference classic tracks and artists without sounding like a carbon copy - however Villee manages this with aplomb. Referencing Larry Heard (check the chords on 'The Inventor'), Cajual records, french house and the DIY free party sound - we think this EP is fantastic! Think warm, analogue, looped up, MPC house with swing and you're on the right track

Art Alfie inaugurates his Velvet Pony imprint with a four track EP. The new label will function as a platform for the artist and his friends, shining light on a catalogue of music from the Stockholm scene. Having built a strong reputation alongside Mr. Tophat with a string of revered releases on the duo's Karlovak imprint, Velvet
Pony signals the opening of a new door for Art Alfie. The project arrives after a highly acclaimed album on Studio Barnhaus, as well as his first solo EP on Karlovak last year - on which the underground hit 'Flaunting' was featured.
'Velvet Pony Trax 1' sees Art Alfie brandishing his immaculate production technique over 4 distinct grooves.
'Soft Spoken' takes us to the twilight zone with low slung bass riffs and jazzy chords, whilst 'Since I've Seen you' offers a dubbed out dose of twisted disco for the after-hours. On the B side, 'Hideouts' pairs hypnotic percussion with an undeniable funk, and 'Front' - a co-production with Ma°ns Glaeser - raises the heat for an energetic finish.

Forecast label announces new vinyl EP "Holysheep" by Cheaper Shepherd to be released on March 2016. Samples, drum machines

and old school keyboards: a straight ­to ­the point !. Cheaper Shepherd is a duo of producers born in the 15th borough of Paris.

Drived by their love of synthetizers and other analogic machines, they've been working in electronic music for years. In addition
to their own projects, they have produced several hip­hop, house and techno projects: Timä, Androma (Savoir Faire), La
Direction, DudMode, Peterbär... Their first EP Origin came out on HelpMe Records early 2013, followed by three other EPs, released on their own label Baldwin Records among others. They joined the booking roster of forecast label in 2012, and released on vinyl their first EP for the label.

Forriner are Lee Forster (Last Waltz) and Oli Warriner (Traela) Having both previously released material under their respective projects on labels such as... ESP Institute, Mule Musiq, Hhatri and World Unknown to name a few.
The duo released their first offering on Futureboogie Recordings to great success, picking up airplay on BBC Radio 1.
With material on Man Powers - MeMeMe and a forthcoming release on Father & Son Records and Tapes, Poland.
This is the first release on their brand new imprint, "Forriner Music" The release features two Forriner originals whilst collecting remixes from underground heavyweights, Persus Traxx and Frank Butters.

Second edition of the three part series from prolific producer Warren Harris, better known as Hanna on Chicago based Perpetual Rhythms. Including track from upcoming producer and Harris affiliate; Francisco Noyola.

It's in the depths of the oceans that PierroX finds his inspiration for this ambient music. He uses natural sounds (like whale songs
for example) to take us on an abyssal trip between purity and aggression. Two talented producers, Nutia (German) and Shcaa (English) take us back to the surface with their minimal tech-house remix.

For the first time in label history, Keinemusik is putting out an EP with just remixes. The moniker for this: Doppelga¨nger. The reason for this: Well, we like remixes and were curious to find out how other artists, artists that we appreciate a lot, would approach our material.

Phonk D debuts on NDYD Records with his latest baby, the 'Disco Goodies' which contain four stellar tracks, each one with a unique twist and made within the last three years. Like wine these creations got better with time. From the smoothly rolling 'Darlin' Playa' to the more dreamy 'Pink Champagne', the German veteran-producer excels in many ways when it comes to funky and discoish sampling. Takeshi Fukushima aka Takecha, GWM is one of the most important artist in 90s Japanese house music scene.
This release compiles his unreleased recordings between 1993 and 1996. All the tracks are newly mastered from
the original DAT tapes. GWM is most known as the label where Soichi Terada had releases.

Marking the last Crosstown Rebels release of the Summer, Yousef steps into the spotlight with the compelling Vanity featuring entrancing vocals from The Angel. Heavyweight remixes courtesy of Carl Cox, and Bontan complete the package.
Played for the first time by Damian, Vanity was premiered at Day Zero in January, with videos capturing this moment reaching the three million mark. The vocals of long term collaborator The Angel caress the memories of lovers gone in Vanity, whilst the drums and poignant breaks deliver high impact. UK DJ Bontan delivers the first remix, picking up the pace and adding his signature choppy beats. Musical royalty, Carl Cox is up next with an energetic force and increasing intensity levels. Switching it up, Yousef returns with his Black & Acid Dub complete with throbbing drums and stripped back vocals.
Famed for his legendary Circus events in Liverpool and a recent worldwide tour, Yousef has been at the forefront of electronic music for over fifteen years. With releases on Cocoon, Defected and BPitch among others, Yousef also has a weekly radio show aired in over fifty countries, with over 20 million global listeners.

Lagaffe Tales co-founder Jónbjörn drops four tracks on Iceland's FALK Records beat driven sub-label, FALK DISKS.

Since 2008 FALK (Fuck Art Lets Kill) has become a creative hub for Icelandic and international artists involved in experimental and electronic music, spanning noise rock through to power electronics, underground hip-hop to DIY techno and electro. 2017 saw FALK continue with releases from Icelandic hip-hop producer LORD PUSSWHIP, techno/electro producer ThizOne and Canadian industrial techno musician //HUREN//. Berlin based Icelandic producer Jónbjörn, known for curating Reykjavík record label Lagaffe Tales - one of the main pillars in the Icelandic house scene - now joins FALKS' club focused sub-imprint with a robust four tracker.

Moving away from the deep house sound he's renowned for towards a darker and leaner night time aesthetic, 'Amsiak' inaugurates the release with an infectious electro groove as gurgling pings and acidic clangs and drones are liberally dropped throughout the track. 'Aspekte' is a spacious track with blown-out bass sounds that morph and glide across a tempered, slow burning planar rhythm.

On the flip, Jónbjörn goes for a harder techno sound influenced by his relocation to Berlin. 'Sunnudagskaffi' is a bendy, 4/4 roller that contains hidden grooves below the basslines and the acid pings that wouldn't be out of place on a Livity Sound release. Meanwhile, 'Holy B' is pure warehouse creeper techno, complete with machinic tones and the atmospherics of sweat and grime on dungeon brick walls.

Jazzy Couscous strikes back with their "La chance aux chansons" EP, showcasing various upcoming talents from the French and Swiss club scene.The opening track, "A long way", is delivered by Matthieu Faubourg, an incredibly gifted young French producer who exploded last year thanks to his mesmerizing "Please, Stay...". It explores darker shades while keeping Faubourg's deep imprint. Next comes Normandy's best kept secret DrezB's first effort with "Chemical distortion". A swinging deep house killer track with some acid accents, definitely floor oriented. The B side is opened by Switzerland most promising club scene talent, Pascal Viscardi. His "Digital illusion" track is a cold and merciless dub house monster. This one will definitely cause a few casualties. Finally, this EP is closed by Midori featuring Victor Santoni with an incredible atmospheric jewel. Literally coming from outer space, their "Distance" track will get you high, VERY high.

2017 sees the launch of CRAIG CHRISTON'S new record label BEYOND PARADISE RECORDINGS.

Here is the debut release from the First Lady of the 'Balearic Sound' NANCY NOISE. Her influence on the Ibizan sound cannot be understated and for those who know, Nancy's place in Elvissa's musical heritage is carved into Es Vedra. If you're not aware, Nancy isn't one for creating a fuss about what she does. It's always been about the music & about the vibe. About being moved and taken to a place and time through sound. It's also been a drive for perfection and that desire for perfection meant she's never committed to vinyl before. That and being a mum to two beautiful children. Their presence and birthplace is written large on this, her first 12" of original music. Likewise the contribution of her friends and admirers: LEO MAS & FABRICE, MAN POWER, TIM HUTTON and CRAIG CHRISTON (PROJECT PARADISE), who have supported Nancy's musical expression in these four incredible cuts.

Often you may find yourself wondering what it is that separates us, what segregates and classifies us, jaggedly dividing us into our mismatched groups of apparent similitude. You pull into question this supposedly pragmatic and balanced approach to modern society and take it apart, piece by piece, in an attempt to see a way that we can move forward and create a world in which everything and everyone resonates as one. It's a pure picture, a vision where we no longer exist in this dystopian Discordia, a world defined entirely by distorted fringes and crooked boundaries. It's this harmonious world, a world of 'Fields Without Fences' that we dream of. The dream is fully and wholeheartedly realised in this stunning body of work. It opens with the beautiful 'Undisguised', a piece comprised of intricately interwoven drums and emotionally enrapturing melodies, finished off with beautifully drawn out vocals. From here you're taken on what can only be described as an undulating journey through immutable rhythms, spellbinding riffs and barrier transcending vocals. Long, one-note bass lines unavoidably hypnotise you and draw you into the music in a way that's not dissimilar to insects' attraction to light. Oliver Schories has crafted a truly captivating, emotional and spiritually enlightening journey with this latest offering of his trademark melodic crossbreed of house and techno. During the course of his prosperous career he has gained an extremely impressive following and has released on labels such as Parquet, Stil Vor Talent, Katermukke, Kittball and Noir. 'Fields Without Fences' is his third studio album and will be his first full length on his own SOSO imprint.

Soft Talk is the latest alias that Natal Zaks - our longtime Danish friend and a musician we've been constantly releasing under different monikers throughout the last 5 years - picked out for us. He is hands down the most talented producer we've ever met and it's always a privilege to be able release his music under any name he chooses. We've seen his music go through many transformations and they were always for the best. This time we feel the exact same thing, that this is our favorite music ever and we'll never want to release anything else again. That's never true of course, but the Mercy EP does feel a lot like that.

Natal debuts his Soft Talk project on Origami Sound, where he also released under Aebeloe, Escar, half of Averos and many more aliases. He is currently part of the immensely talented Regelbau collective from Aarhus, Denmark as well as one of the people behind Help Recordings. His consistency in quality and the depth of musical understanding he displays is astonishing and we'll be happy to finally see him out there in the 'circuit', gigging and releasing his gems on some of our favorite labels.

Each of the 4 tracks on this 12" has its unique background story - for example Radar went through many takes on an old analog device that Natal's university had in a studio - and we love all 4 just as much. This music is so tangible, so easy to single out and so rewarding upon listening or playing that we don't even want to give it away. But then again, that's what we love most about great music.

The first release on Black Wattle comes from Sydney talent Thomas Gray. The EP, 'Never Far Enough', sits somewhere between a record for home and a record for the dancefloor. Part ambient, part spacious percussion, Tom's EP has the ability to relax you after a long day or keep you moving into the night. It is also Tom's first time being pressed on wax.

Mosaique turn to the learned ears of Mick Wills to fill out their third release with a pair of exclusive edits that align with the German DJs distinctive take on deviant dance music. On the A side Wills edits "Ultimatum" by Russian industrial wayfarer DMT, a track dripping with sinister synth tones and rasping, brittle drums that sound great looped up across a whole side of vinyl. On the flip Wills takes the knife to "Flexion" by Jasss, the emergent Spanish artist whose wide ranging style encompasses coldwave, acid and more besides. The emotive synth strains of this track strain against the harsh, distorted drums to great effect, all filtered through that Mick Wills vision of what makes great, dark, sleazy dance music.

Yoruba Records is proud to welcome back Toto Chiavetta with our latest release, 'Nagnu Jubo' (Remixes). This follow up to the debut album, 'Impermanence', includes remixes by Osunlade as well as new and unreleased work from Toto himself. Kicking off proceedings is the Yoruba Soul Mix of 'Nagnu Jubo', a deep and smooth groove rich in personality. The warm chords reel you in as the underlying rhythm engages and inspires. The Yoruba Soul Dub retains the warmth of the original without the track's signature chant. This is followed by a new, previously unreleased, version of 'Minds'. Originally appearing on 'Impermanence', this version is decidedly more floor focused. A 303-style bassline keeps this moving right along as percussive elements add texture and drive to this forward thinking dance tune. Finally, closing out this release is 'Hunters', a track which showcases Toto's dark and techy side. This expressive tune is ripe with emotion and will have discerning listeners locked in introspection while their feet do work on the floors below them.

Collecting Orders for Repress

Produced by Maurice Fulton. From Resident Advisor: Maurice Fulton listens to The Hydrangeas Whisper The house producer will revisit his flower-focused Boof alias on a new LP/CD next week. Maurice Fulton will release another album as Boof on March 30th. Boof is just one of Fulton's many aliases and projects, and one that he's been returning to every five years or so. The music he releases under the name concerns itself mainly with flowers and it's among his more eccentric material, touching on disco, house and hip-hop. The Hydrangeas Whisper follows 2011's Shhh, Dandelions At Play LP, and where that record landed on Running Back, this one will see release via his own BubbleTease Communications.

Bristol native Borai's latest offering on NYC-based label Discovery Recordings is a welcome breath of summer air. A wildly diverse talent shines through Boris' body of work. I've Had Quite A Day Too is the greatest glimpse of his sunny side so far. Soak up these songs as winter retreats and we move the party outdoors again

Chapter 3: Gandarva switching from a balearic atmosphere to an interstellar space travel. In Kosmaro the voice of Monica Giacomobono describes a sleepless night traveling delirious on the notes of the keyboard played Ricky Burattini (Justofunk) which then,  together with the bass of  Onorino Tiburzi , transports us in a jazzy-funk walk with the track Isotropofunk

For the first release of 2018 we welcome Harry Wolfman to the Outplay family!
Having followed his work for the last couple of years we're very happy to have him deliver this varied 4-tracker, which very well might be some of his best work to date.

The A side starts off with 'Hitch'. A warm and dusty groover driven by rhodes, a rubbery bassline and a thudding kick. A lovely string piece in the middle of the track slowly builds up to the break for it to return to the head nodding groove soon after. The added percussion gives it a nice lively feel as well.

'Pigs in Blankets' sets the pace a little slower, but the funk goes on. The track incorporates 80's style samples with some excellent synth and chord work. Perfect for a warm up session.

Starting on the B side Harry takes it up a notch with 'Nemoto', which will be a definite stomper for the dance floor. It takes you on a 9 minute journey of rolling bumpy basslines, screaming distortion leads and hypnotising synth work.
Finally, to ease things off, STS-136 (Final Call) comes in at a slow 88 bpm pace as a perfect closure to the EP. Dreamy pads, piano licks and a calming marimba melody combined with a beat which feels like a warm blanket will make you wander off for a moment...

Gitanes is Olde Gods' new EP and longest output to date. Following a series of singles on the Minor Planets label, the Barcelona duo are up to a 12 four-tracker on Amsterdams' Atomnation. Gitanes brings echoes from Spains' not-long gone golden club era. Its cover depicts an abandoned club from the 90's in a coastal town in the Mediterranean, could be anywhere from Valencia to Barcelona. All four tracks are trippy yet solid-grounded, spacey voices and strings leads all flying up and magically suspended over gross rhythmical foundations. Dear CZ, a fetiche track, built around a moody Casio CZ synth stab topped up with acid videogame-like crazyness. Gitanes brings entrancing vocals intertwined with more CZ pad action. All Around is a foggy and paranoid late-night drive, and None of these Bitches, a homesick folks' walk around Tokyo's Daikanyama area. Olde Gods are JMII and Guillamino.

Richard Sen's sound has always been influenced by black dance music and European electronic music and these two tracks carry on the vibe - dark, electronic funk!

'Flow Master" is inspired by old school New York house combined with European industrial body music. Sen calls it 'muscle house'.
'Bad Meaning Good' is a lighter, deep groove that takes inspiration from African percussion artists like Kongotronics.

Toby Tobias has a lengthy history of disturbing the peace. This is his second offering for the ESP Institute. On side A, Second Stimulus stirs shimmering staccato chords, roaming pipes and detuned robotic sighs into quite the disorienting stew—the loose arrangement remaining fragmented over 9 minutes of touch-and-go 808 programming, picking up a pseudo bassline assembled from sub toms, introducing a gritty break loop and eventually blissing out into oblivion. With side B's Synchro Surfer, Toby plays with the notion of suspense by gently teasing a muted kick and percussion rhythm under washes of white noise, bleeps and sirens that are tape-dubbed and which, over time, begin a dialogue with each other, as if the machines have declared mutiny on the garage. Toby continues to stretch his limits with his output for the ESP Institute, possibly headed toward a full-fledged devolution of conventional dance music. These two songs may have you arrested for public nuisance.
