Italy's Shift LTD drop their 7th release, a vinyl only affair with 4 low cuts that simply ooze what this label is all about. Four great tracks that it were produced in the 1993 from Mr. Ivan Iacobucci. The production duo, ( Twins in fact! ) of DNArt step up alongside Underground Ghosts to present 4 delicious slices of bumping beats along side soulful melodies as part of the Grunge EP. The track S opens up the EP with swing and soft, deep and inviting dynamic that allows this track to ease you into its feel good vibe. Following this up we pick up the pace with a more UKG flavoured O , a track that carries a Rhodes driven melody again softening the crisp hats and creating that warm and fuzzy feeling. Next U lends itself to the dance floor vibes of O with low swung beat teasing the groove in as the melodics intricately progress. Finishing the EP we have L and this is by far the deepest track on the ep, primed and ready for those hot and sweat summer nights. DNArt's soul is on full display here for Shift LTD in this tight collection of dance floor heat.

Daft Punk's 'ALIVE 2007' set, which won 2 Grammy Awards in 2009 (Best Electronic Album and Best Electronic Single categories) and was previously only available on CD and digital, will be released for the first time as a double vinyl with a triple gatefold sleeve.

Derived from their live performance at Bercy on 14 June 2007, this album was originally published the same year on November 19th. Through this amazing live experience, Daft Punk manipulated and reworked their established material, transposing and deconstructing the structures of their studio tracks.

A limited edition of 'ALIVE 2007' will be released at the same time, in a special box including the album on 2 solid white vinyls, plus a vinyl bonus (Side A: the show's encore (human after all / together / one more time (reprise) / music sounds better with you) /Side B : 'ALIVE 2007' pyramid logo etched), a 52 pages book (pictures taken during the shows), a slipmat and a download card.

'ALIVE 1997' is also being reissued separately. Recorded in 1997 in Birmingham during their first European tour, a few months after the release of 'Homework', this first live testimony was released in 2001. 45 minutes of non-stop live mixing, featuring the band's first standard tracks (Da Funk, Rollin' & Scratchin'...) along with those techno-electronic explosions unique to Daft Punk!

Early May will see Mihai Popoviciu return with his second long player in the shape of the 'Home' LP on Bondage music, comprising twelve original compositions from the Romanian artist.

Mihai Popoviciu : "The album's called "home" because it is inspired by my experiences from my home city Sibiu in Romania. Home is also the place where the album was produced, in my stripped down studio. It is where I always return to rest and chill after touring the world and the place where I feel most safe and comfortable. The artwork shows an image of the airport lane in Sibiu with surrounding hills and mountains in the back. It is a metaphoric "gate" to both leave and return home."

Romania's Mihai Popoviciu has carved out quite the career over the past decade releasing material through the likes of Highgrade, Hudd Traxx, Poker Flat and Fear of Flying. Here though we see him deliver his second full-length album and return to Bondage Music following a single on the label back in
2013.

Across the project Mihai delivers his signature dance floor focused, stripped back style with records like 'ACK', 'Sandstone Folder' and 'Tentacle Operated' showcasing the hypnotic and percussive style
Popoviciu executes so well. The project also drifts into smooth dubby realms via compositions like 'Cannon Poets' and 'Sunshine' while the likes of 'Triumph' and 'Music 999' radiantly display Mihai's proficient production abilities as he wanders into a brighter more house centric sound.

All in all Mihai Popoviciu turns in a coherent long player whilst exploring a broad range of styles, 'Focus and 'Havana' lay down a groove-led feel with subtle modulations and an unfaltering structure, while 'Data On Data', 'Paranoia' and 'Hypnosia' tip the focus over to dark and brooding territories with murky synth pads and chuggy low end tones. Once again Popoviciu has proven himself to be one of Romania's finest electronic music exports.

Stepback Records launch with the first new Thinktank material in many years!! Danger at 300 Fathoms EP combines styles from many genres, electro, house, techno, reggae, electronica all neatly produced and packaged to build an excellent first release for Stepback Records. Its no surprise as Thinktank aka Colvin Cruickshank has a strong background in writing and producing top quality music. His band Snide Rhythms has a cult following and his music with Thinktank reveals the breath and diversity of Colvins talents as a writer and producer.

A side 'Algae Rhythms' kicks off the EP. Its a house focused club record with a quirkyness that defines Thinktanks sound.
Meanwhile, 'W Sludge' on B1 packs more of a punch with its heavier kick drum, snares and a much more skanky feel.
We round off with 'L'Ahrax Point' an uncomprimising club track. Its badass electro but again with a deep twist that intrigues the listener and leaves you wanting to listen again and again.

Yet again the leafs are turning neon golden, reminding us of the change of seasons lying at the edge of our doorstep. The first cold breezes and the fading warmth of the sun, which we just took for granted so easily, sketch the outline of that mild and soothing melancholia resting in autumn's palms. A mood we can very well enjoy to bury in deeply and with Luise's newest release listen to closely. »MENTIS EXCESSUS« is a tenderly crafted tale, a musical journey that paints broad images of false memories and blurry resemblances. Like a Déjà-vu that lasts too long to put aside, it crawls up your neck to give you that eerie feeling of curiosity with which you look at the uncanny world that suddenly surrounds you.

We are very pleased to welcome »WIDE AWAKE« as the most recent addition to Luises's sheltered, little family, a project that has its foundations at the talented hands and hearts of »Niju«, »Ninze« & »Okaxy«. These three banded together for greater good to provide nothing less, but their as well as Laut & Luise's first album.

Citizenn threads the final narrative to his critically-acclaimed debut album released earlier this year with 'Lady' featuring the beautiful vocals of Aisha and accomplished remixes from Kerri Chandler, wAFF and Francisco Allendes.

Pulling the track into new territories are remixers Kerri Chandler, one of house music's true icons and legends, wAFF (Hot Creations / Drumcode / Cocoon), who is a core part of new UK techno fraternity and esteemed Chilean techno producer Francisco Allendes (Desolat / Cadenza / Andes). After spending the best part of 12 months building serious momentum in the clubs, Elderbrook X Andhim's 'How Many Times' has now been scheduled for release via crucial taste-making imprint Black Butter.
· A twisting, percussive masterclass built around Elderbrook's hazy, dreamcast vocals, German producer duo Andhim's take on 'How Many Times' is as abstract as it is infectious, proving that their work has the guile to be appreciated both on and away from the dancefloor. Having amassed nearly 900,000 streams organically via Soundcloud this is a track that's clearly connected, as further evidenced by the news that 'How Many Times' also ended the summer as one of the Top 10 Most Shazam-ed Tracks In Ibiza.

Ever elusive duo Flight Facilities dropped a bombshell on unsuspecting, devoted fans, announcing the wholly unanticipated - and yet incredibly welcomed - debut album, 'Down to Earth". The production pair, best known for their string of popular club singles have done the unexpected, announcing a cracking new set of tunes to compliment their already impressive back catalogue, along with a headline world tour that will see the guys conquer their biggest headline shows to date, via the likes of The Enmore (Syd), The Forum (Melb), Webster Hall (NYC) and The Regent in LA. Some of the guests waiting in the departure lounge include the divine Ms Emma Louise, New York's most soulful comedian, Reggie Watts, a star turn from Melbourne's Owl Eyes, a foray into hip-hop with hotly tipped rapper Bishop Nehru, along with existing favourites like Micky Green and Giselle. These are just some of the highlights that will be coming out of the 'Down To Earth' carousel in the near future. Since their arrival in 2009, Flight Facilities have proven themselves to be one of electronic music's most consistently popular songwriting duos. Their first hit, Crave You, has become the unofficial soundtrack to summer parties from Sydney to Stockholm, and they've since deployed six successful singles, including the self-released slow-burner Clair De Lune, which went Gold in Australia.

Maniac became prolific in the Grime scene almost a decade ago as a youngster with his early work with Wiley (Bow E3), Jme (Shuh Yuh Muh), Wretch 32 (Inna Di Ghetto), Chip (Muhammad Ali), Bashy (Kidulthood to Adulthood)and Tinchy Stryder (Mainstream Money). Maniac released several EPs between 2008 and 2010 with an album entitled New Age Grime collecting his works in 2009. Maniac recommenced his production work in 2015 immediately reconnecting with Wiley for Outchea and other E3 resident Maxsta for an EP 100 Problems. He was also tasked with soundtracking the latest Noel Clarke movie BrotherHood and produced several tracks himself featuring the likes of AJ Tracey, P Money and Chip. Homecoming is his first instrumental release after his return to the scene and has had consistent support from such Grime stalwarts as Logan Sama, Sir Spyro, Spooky Bizzle, Slimzee and others. It also saw spot plays on 1xtra from MistaJam, Sian Anderson and Target in various mixes.

First track 'To The Ball' starts off with a bubbling bass line, followed with shuffling hi-hats and swinging beat that's glued together by glistering synth stabs, infectious to say the least. Syncopated percussion introduces 'Sandy Lane' whilst ebbing pads and metallic nuances add to an overall shadowy aesthetic. 'Orbit' then sees intricate breaks; ghostly synths and murky melodies join piercing vocal cries before Pangaea delivers a cacophonous remix combining crunchy drums with effervescent notes and a throbbing low-end.

rRoxymore's music is an intriguing, one-off blend of contrasting textures - organic and synthetic, icy and warm - a fresh step in dance music. Real name Hermione Frank, the French musician and producer has a long history making music in various ways, with various people, before settling in Berlin and concentrating on the solo project that refines it all.

As rRoxymore, she released her epic 10-minute debut "Wheel of Fortune" in the summer of 2012 - half of split a 12" with Planningtorock on the latter's own Human Level label. Human Level also provided the outlet for rRoxymore's first EP, Precarious/Precious, the following year. The four tracks combined nervous grooves, bewitching cosmic synths, twisted snippets of acoustic instruments and other intriguing sounds. Live, rRoxymore creates rhythms and sounds with energetic rawness merging with a stirring psychedelia, taking you into a new world.

'No Life Without Hustle' is a drifty and funky house groover which directly starts with the main chords and some sluggish claps. After adding percussion elements and a funky and rhythmic guitarchord, becoming a very dynamic house tune.
'Dreamcatcher' seems to be a combination of classic deep house chords as well as sampled and chopped piano melody lines...but it is not!!! It begins with a stomping kick drum and a weird dark and cosmic athmospherics. Leading into the first break where some piano chords appear from nowhere, 'Dreamcatcher' changes from a basement-stomper to a hopeful deep house track full of filigrane elements flying through the room.
'Gotzkovsky' is pure deepness.
It mainly consists of sounds from a piano, during the first few minutes it rises constantly to a point where drifty percussions and a deep sub bassline complete this mind-blowing but also meditative piece of music.'Chill My Hand Like That' is an ode to music and vinyl. This is why it was mainly made of samples recorded directly from vinyl into an MPC. It starts with the main pad/electric key sample which flows during the whole track. After some loops a very wise man, you might know, starts talking about what music and vinyl means to him.'When Mia meets Rosi EP' is a very versatile and high-quality piece of music by two guys who proved their knowledge about sound, production and musical understanding. Jordan Fields and Parisian protege French Phil give us the very groovy, deep and abstract What a Life! 12" featuring a remix from the Uman Records crew also out of France. What a surprise to see this Underground Trax imprint returning celebrating 15 years no less. There surely is some history to be learned as discogs shows New Jersey's SOM being connected with releases from Stacy Kidd, Roy Davis Jr. and a couple From Jordan Fields as well. Very interesting indeed.

The swedish duo Bambook consisting of Eiad Sayegh and Hannes Netzell was surely one of last years whizzkids of the deep house genre.

Just over a year old now the duo have captured a unique signature sound: set to expressing a distinctive mood by working with acclaimed singers, classic house percussions, and emphatic baselines that triggers the right buttons.

Mutado Pintado
Last October from Mixhell, Joe Goddard (Hot Chip) and Mutado Pintado (Paranoid London), Brazil, London and the USA came a great mix of unexpected sounds. Dropping via Delayed Records, the Crocodile Boots EP offered a cacophony of musical elements and spoken word that's myriad intricacies made it one of the most sonically intriguing releases of 2016.
The title track 'Crocodile Boots', a funny, funky poem about daily life, politics and miscommunications, has received a special remix and accompanying visual from close friends and confidants, Soulwax.
Speaking on the video, Iggor Cavalera says 'this video is an amazing compilation of mad ideas from Mutado's brain mixed with the low-fi images of Laima and himself on a duet between the confused red neck and a Portuguese/Brazilian spoken girl.'
The Brazilian production duo Mixhell first met Joe Goddard in Brazil around 2006. DJ'ing many times together and supporting Hot Chip, the Crocodile Boots project was born out of a few 30-minute jam sessions they did in 2015 alongside close friend and Paranoid London affiliated Mutado Pintado.
The original EP's 3 tracks express a high dynamic range through sinuous melodies and polyrhythmic sonic textures whilst Mutado Pintado's instantly recognisable tone lyrically reveals elements of the artist's lives. Further remixes of the EP's title track 'Crocodile Boots' and 'Hard Work Pays Off' drop soon from Joe Goddard and London-based Party Nails.
Since writing 'Crocodile Boots' the four artists haven't again been in the same place at the same time - testament to the pure and organic nature of this release. It's seen massive club support from an array of tastemakers including Erol Alkan, Damian Lazarus, Jamie Jones, MJ Cole and Thomas von Party (Turbo Recordings) and what started out as a fun breather from their other projects has become something much more significant and potentially disruptive to the current electronic music landscape.
2017 will see Mixhell unite once again with Soulwax, kicking off a worldwide tour with them from March that will include live band performances on drums (Iggor) and synths and backing vocals (Laima) as well as DJ after parties as Mixhell.

Do Mi (Dominique Fils-Aimé) is Montreal Singer Songwriter and Artist whose musical influences are deeply rooted in jazz and soul. In 2015, Do Mi took part in The Voice making it to the semi-finals of the competition. She currently is busy touring, painting, helping with charities and her first EP : The RED Ep.
Following up on his 2014 appearance at MUTEK, Hourani presented AL/VE, an exclusive new set celebrating the unity of archaic machines and modern man, with Do Mi joining him in the festival's finale position in the underground Salle BWR.

Bay Area born Marc David Barrite aka Dave Aju is a reliable name for fresh and distinctive electronic music, combining deep knowledge and passion for dance music history with a fearless, forward-thinking approach to production and performance. A diverse range of influences from his jazz upbringing and hip-hop years, to the outer realms of experimental post-rock and musique concrète can be heard in Aju's unique sound, always with a solid sense of rhythm owed to his roots as a dancer.
Dave Aju remixes, DJ sets, and live performances are in demand at labels, clubs, and festivals across the globe. Caravan's Coarsica EP is a gorgeous six-tracker of wandering drum machines and shiny synths, washed with the burnt umbers and viridescent hues of the Australian outback. Computer-funk with a green thumb. As the track-listing suggests, Coarsica is a tribute to subtle and compelling beauty of Australia's native flora, as if Costa Georgiadis and Dâm-Funk got away from the big smoke for a weekend and spent the whole time by the river cooking this bad boy up. Like the rugged and stoic Banksia, or the regal Flindersia, each track on the Coarsica EP provides a dappled shade under which the weary dancer can rest in these hot summer months.

Gatupreto release their sophomore "Distino Di Nos Vida" on TINK! Music! The duo from Lisbon's hinterland return with a second round of their impeccable, futuristic theory on modern club music after the acclaimed "Modo Di Trabadja" EP, released in 2015. The tropical taste of Cabo Verde, the cool of that Lisbon dance floor fusionism, the appeal of classic vibes. Tracks too dark and twisted to be called "Afro", too sexy and melodic to be called "Techno", too smart and freaky to be called "House" and too cool and mature to be called "Kuduro", it is simply Gatupreto.
On the A side "I Became Me", deep afro dub with a killer sub bass and endless echoes, starring Portuguese soul and hip hop legend NBC as guest vocalist and a remix by afro Dutch master and fellow TINK! artist Philou Louzolo - who turns "I Became Me" into an irresistible deep house with african undertones.
On the flip side, the dark dramatic stomping tracks "Afrowerk" and "Gatu Di Noti", the first an eerie, irresistible peak time banger, and the later a stormer with sounds from natural Africa, harpy acid lines and an off kilter beat.

Once referred to as "one of the best producers you haven't heard of yet" and championed by Gilles Peterson on his radio show many times, Toronto stalwart Jesse Futerman is a producer on the rise. First up on this release is the title track - You Are Never Alone, a track filled with soulful loop hooks, disco strings and an added thump on the rhythm.

'Prescription: Word, Sound and Power' presents the groundbreaking Chicago based house label's anthology, holding milestone songs + four previously unreleased tracks.

Prescription Records defined the 1990s deep house sound. Chez Damier and Ron Trent started the label in 1993, released some two-dozen singles in a four-year span, many of which attained legendary status on the underground scene. 'Chez Damier and I started the label, because we had the idea to take a certain level of fidelity and bring that fidelity to what people call tracks. Tracks being drum orientated Chicago rhythm tracks with a minimalistic melody. We were playing with that idea, expounding a point of
that minimalistic aspect and making it more complex', Trent explains.

Ron Trent was born in Massachusetts but raised in Chicago, listening to jazz and learning percussion. He began DJing in 1982, playing at area high schools. His first EP, containing the epic instrumental'Altered States,' was released on Armando Gallop's Warehouse Records in 1990. Chez Damier (Anthony Pearson) grew up in Chicago, where he danced at the Warehouse as a youth. He left for Detroit in the 1980s, helping to open the Music Institute and working A&R for Kevin Saunderson's label, KMS. Damier and Trent met while Damier was visiting Chicago and immediately hit it off.

Today, Prescription is cited by countless producers as a major influence. 'It's a very dub experimental label... sound bites, samples, rhythms, and a lot of ethereal stuff, too,' Trent expounds—not to mention. Prescription's embrace of heavy sub-bass. Concludes Trent, 'It was ahead of its time, definitely.'

Cakeman Records is a new record label created and curated by Dragos Ilici. The first release comes from romanian producer Teluric. "În Padurea Fermecata" means "in the magical forest" in romanian. Its name provides the track originality, and it piques curiosity. It is a trippy yet solid techno track, rich in atmospheres and pads, warm and intense in the same time.
"Magnetic Fields" is a stripped down dub techno track. Rolling hihats, a punchy kick drum that moves your body, and a classic dub techno stab combine in a simple yet groovy and effective track.
