Born and raised in Newcastle in the UK, Man Power is now embedded in the depths of Mexico in Monterrey, a city on the rise after many years of internal strife.
This unique new perspective and observations while on the road as a touring DJ has given Man Power the impetus to launch his new label entitled Me Me Me with his own production 'Tachyon' paired with a remix from DJ Tennis.
'It stands to reason that if I'm calling my new label project Me Me Me, then I should be the one doing the talking. Deejaying has to contain a bit of selfishness, as it's all about playing the music that you love, and other people listening. It's a simple step to go from choosing the music in a club, to choosing music for a record label.' 'There currently seems to be a movement of artists forming who are indefinable past the vague limits of their own persona and varied musical mores. I'd like to think I'm part of this movement, so this is my attempt at exploring that concept. I'm trying to work with people who also represent this new popularity in artistic freedom.'
Following releases will feature Axel Boman, Red Axes, Mike Simmonetti, Chida, Fort Romeau, Hammer, Rex The Dog, Daniel Maloso, Last Waltz, James Hadfield (as Elizabeth Collective) and of course Man Power.
'It's definitely a snapshot of where I'm at, hence the name, but a DJ at his best has always been nothing more than a taste filter, and so Me Me Me is simply an expression of my tastes, and a platform for music by myself and the people I've been lucky enough to befriend over the years who share a similar disregard for any musical context.'
'I'm a big believer of leaning in to criticism. I always like the fact that I think of better jokes about me than anybody else. It kind of makes you bulletproof. Something in my self deprecating north eastern English mentality makes me feel incredibly big headed for deciding to start my own label. Like who do I think I am So it's me embracing that I guess.'
BACKGROUND
Man Power has risen to prominence over the past few years through a beguiling versatility that is eminent in both his DJ and production style, leading to key releases on ESP Institute, John Talabot's Hivern Discs, Permanant Vacaction and Throne of Blood. He currently holds residencies at the esteemed Topaz Deluxe in his new station of Monterrey and at the equally chic MN Roy of Mexico City and his critically acclaimed 2015 album on Jennifer Cardini's Correspondant led to his title as one of XLR8R's Artists of the Year.

We are happy to have pan/tone for our fourth Pfand release. Sheldon Thompson, aka Sid Le Rock, serves up three melodic pieces which catapult you into a deep dreamy trip, complete with floating hypnotic grooves and melodies. Rhodes Avenue comes with tropical bells, 70's-style rhodes piano with 80's-synth flavour. Animal Parade convinces with cinematic soundscapes and a memorable hymn which brings us to another level. Inyourendo surprises with electronic soundscapes which fit excellently for intros, interludes or ending of a set. And finally, the Pfand team, Hali and Yapacc as "The Cabin" adds a rework of Animal Parade with a percussive techno groove supported by a groovy bassline with deep drones that move directly into your brain.

BT17 The Glowing brings together an array of fresh up and coming producers, each displaying their unique sound.Morah has cut his chops as a producer with releases already under his belt on Helena Hauff's Return to Disorder, Berceuse Heroique and Lux Rec. One Conversation with a Funny Demon is pure grimy power electronics for the freaks. Solid Blake from the openhagen based Apeiron Crew makes her production debut with the creeping Burns.On the flip, Ivna Ji's celestial beauty of Oscillating Universe opens up proceedings before Vertical67's Distortion takes us deep into the rabbit hole to finish.

Believe it or not but Uncanny Valley looks back on five years of releasing records this summer. There was a bit of discussion on how to celebrate this occasion properly. Instead of just turning into the typical Greatest hits-routine the label heads Albrecht, Carl, Conrad and Philipp decided to look back and forth. So, besides a record that unleashes four tracks from the vaults of these five years there will be a record with new material too. Here's "Uncanny Valley: Five Years On Parole - what's happening"! Chinaski is a great artist to open this record as his solo EP for Uncanny Valley is in the making. His dreamy "Angel Heart" has already caused a stir on many dance floors with its enthusiastic synths and bittersweet melodies. Derive on the other hand is a good example for another accompanying factor that was important for Uncanny Valley: collaborations. This time it is UV artist Sneaker and the Greek synth genius June that created the wonderful Krautrock inspired synth odyssey "Schicksalhafte Begegnung". Like Chinaski there is also a solo EP from Panthera Krause for Uncanny Valley at the ready. His pumping "Coochie" is a first foretaste of what is to come. A versatile track that has everything an open-minded listener of Dance music is looking for. Iron Curtis completes the EP with "Ensuite", an Acid driven piece of Electronic music that is just as old school as it is vigorous. Besides lots of other artists, it was former Dresden and now Berlin based artist Paul Waak who had a formative influence on all the visual aspects of Uncanny Valley. Sure thing that he was the man to create the artwork for both records in true Paul Waak style.

A legendary figure for his formative work on Jon E Cash's Black Ops label around 2002 - 2006, Dread D has been bubbling back into focus over recent years through a string of strong releases on Local Action. On his remix, the versatile veteran gives Wiley's freestyle a bashy, classic London grime refix.
Having released his critically acclaimed 'Utility' LP on Livity Sound earlier this year, Bristol's Kowton has been bringing together cutting-edge electronics and heavy club dynamics with a distinctly UK sensibility - and felt a perfect choice for the second remix.
Rising Berlin-via-Toronto producer Bwana aka Nathan Micay has built up an impressive run of releases over the past couple of years for labels including Aus Music, Infinite Machine and somethinksounds. Most recently he released an acclaimed "retro-futuristic reimagining" of the Akira OST with LuckyMe via a special website. His 'We're All In This Together' remix of 'Ingrid Is A Hybrid' - which sees him reunite with Dusky, having previously played alongside the London duo in Chicago last autumn - builds from subtle percussion to new levels of computerized bliss.
Shed is Ostgut Ton and Modeselektor/50 Weapons affiliate René Pawlowitz, also known by his Head High and WK7 aliases and for his time behind the counter at Berlin's legendary Hard Wax record store. With his version the techno maestro welds a dark sense of foreboding into 'Ingrid' while managing to retain the rave euphoria of the original.

Kaffe Crème, 21 years old, is finally releasing his debut vinyl EP on his own imprint Moonrise Hill Material founded in February 2015.

This year, he took part of multiple projects in addition to the production of this EP such as a Jazz House live creation with piano, flute and percussions and the composition of an electro-symphonic artwork.

Due to his classic, contemporary and jazz percussions practice and his love for old school and electronic music, his EP retraces all of his influences and recounts the progress in his musical research this year.

The vinyl starts with Kapo Choc (efficient track against floor chips) as a preamble to Kaffe Crème's story in his apartment/studio/hideout from the "Poulaillerie", Lyon, reaching in his hip-hop and big-band influences.

The listening continues with Chez Moune, tribute to the skinflint Parisian nightclub that refused to pay Kaffe Crème's first gig in Paris. With multiple influences: traditional indian music, hip-hop and jazz; we can hear Calvin. O Butts saying « we're not against rap, we're not against rapper, but we are against those thugs », the track denounces the non-professionalism of his owners .

B-side starts with Jessica Penrose, young and shameless Penrose family's descendant (All characters appearing in this work are fictitious. Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental), on a raw funk sample structurally built on a Penrosian equation.

The vinyl ends with Mountain Flow, ode to the Moonrise Hill Material movement, pure Jazz-influenced Hip-Hop, expressing the daily nonchalance and nihilism of the label's protagonists.

Morris Audio welcomes Italian hot shot Kocleo! A skill full DJ and producer, Kocleo has been releasing his music on labels like Definitive and recently on Kerri Chandler's Madtech.
The 4 tunes of his "Float" EP are pure Tech House. "Float" starts with lush organ stabs with echoing vocals and strings, continuing with a bass led house cut and percussions.
The deep and dubby "Float" remix is by another up and coming versatile italian producer: Whitesquare (Skint, Noir or Defected).


The B-side with "Same things" and "Unaware" offers more bass driven catchy and funky House tunes and makes Morris Audio 95 a well-rounded release. Grazie!
Kocleo got into Djing at the tender age of 13 by the help of his brother. After some DJ awards (e.g. Nottalba), he discovered his new passion: producing music! Kocleo was and never is narrow minded when it comes to music. He also attended the Italian Institute of Technologies applied to Music, obtaining the degree of Sound Engineer.


He works for communications agencies by creating music for TV commercials as well as releasing some deep tech House stuff.
Still Djing above all in his home town Rome, Kocleo just released on Kerri Chandlers MadTech label! His previous work has been out Definitive, Nervous, Hotfingers, Armada and No Brainer. Molto bello!

Modugroove is a new record label by Lee Renacre from 100Hz. Started in 1989, their first release Low Frequency Overload with Optimism Records entered the national music charts. Lee then started a record label called Format Records with great tracks and reviews. Lee has released with various classic record labels of the 1990's including Pacific Records, Oblong, Rehab and Eukahouse. He was included as one of several London artists who were considered to have started the Tech-House scene according to Mixmag September 1997. Recently 100Hz have been releasing music with Bosconi, Imprints, Hi Phen and Logistic Records. Modugroove aims to release future classic music with new and known artists with a passion for the extraordinary. The first release is called Modulation and is a showcase of the wonderful world of analogue modulating synthesis. Stealthy and deep these tracks include a new collaboration group called Junction Chaos who improvise new music.

You can guarantee that Luciano always comes through with a signature tune once a year, and of late has leisurely road tested singles like 'Rise Of Angel' and 'Cachai' at clubs, festivals and at his Ibiza residencies for full seasons, before releasing the fruits of his labor. And so 2015 throws up 7directions' featuring JAW on the vocal, a mesmerizing and low-slung track that's already getting pole position in Luciano's sets, ending his momentous off-Sonar show at El Poble Espanyol with it, as well as becoming a staple at his weekly Vagabundos residency at Space in Ibiza this season. New York house royalty, Dennis Ferrer, sprinkles the track with his own inimitable style, a sound that has crafted hit records and undergound bombs since the 90s, for labels like Nite Grooves, Defected, Ibadan and his own Objektivity label. And to complete this huge package, Matthew Herbert joins the party with a head scrambling One Direction Dub' mix. The UK sound designer has mesmerized and innovated over the last two decades with some stunning music on his own Accidental label as well as remixes for the likes of Moloko, Jamie XX, Björk and a host of others. On the Original Mix, brooding pads and spikey synths linger over a spacious drum pattern, live drum fills and claps bouncing off the bass pulses, as wandering keys usher in the unmistakable tones of JAW AKA Jonathan Illel, the musician and vocalist extraordinaire who ply's his trade with the French electronic group DOP and as a guest on recordings from artists like Mirko Loko and Guillaume & The Coutu Dumounts amongst many others. 7directions' is perhaps one of Luciano's more understated productions, it's a sprawling and sultry journey, with deft melodic touches and intricate production techniques.

For the 2nd release the young Label invited ROTER&LEWIS from Mainz to join the Lazy Luna Family.
ROTER&LEWIS is a DJ and Production Team where Music is all about the Groove. The Track - Green Lights' opens up and is Kind of a Nu Disco Sound that makes you dance right away with a smile on your face. - Down'follows with a deep, hypnotic and more percussive Groove which makes this Release a Sure Shot!
- Own.Way' completes this EP with his grooving Remix of - Down' in a way that there is nothing more you could ask for. enjoy!

Fresh off a few well received and highly sought after releases on Omega Supreme Records (cheapest copy of Hyperion' is $60 right now on Discogs, just saying), Stockholm's Sasac returns with an elegant summertime jam. Talking God' is delicate morning music. From the opening notes you know you are in for something special. Think fresh squeezed orange juice, sunshine pouring in through open windows, the bridge between the waking world and that chaise lounge on the beach with your name on it. Let the sound wash over you like crystal blue waters and Visions of paradise. Sasac is Karl Nordin, one of those bright young people you read about in the newspaper. With only a few releases under his belt, he is a bright talent and essential member of the new wave of Swedish producers like Prins Emanuel and Golden Ivy.
As for the remixes, Eddie C (Endless Flight/Crue-L Records) buckles the track into his spaceship for a trip to the cosmos, but is forced to make an emergency stop in Ibiza.
With a buildup reminiscent of Amnesia (circa 1990) and guitar loops for days, the programming takes you to another planet. It is perfect for rooftop parties and garden soirees. Under the roof or under the stars, this mix is for dancing. Alex Israel (Creme Organization/Stilllove4music) left the masters locked up in his
Detroit basement and unearthed this subtle juno jam a year later. He washed off the mold and was left with a haunting, reimagined composition with warm keys and light acid. A creepy early night/late morning monster. Before heading home, Bendek (Peoples Potential Unlimited) invites the track to LA for a dip in his yakuza jacuzzi. The funk won't stop as you relax in the bubbles sipping shochu with lime. Claussell's flute, Satriani's guitar, and Dre's 808 are just on the patio. Try not to get them wet.
On chunky 180 gram vinyl and mastered by the prolific Dieter Schoenemann, this EP is worth the wait.

André Hommen and Gerd Janson have remixed Tensnake's 'The Walk / Keep On Talking'. Forthcoming on Tensnake's own label True Romance, TREP010 'The Walk / Keep on Talking' Remixes will be available on both digital and vinyl from the 14th December. It's arguably the label's biggest remix package since Duke Dumont and Ewan Pearson remixed 'Love Sublime'. The Pete Tong approved André Hommen - also the creative producer and label manager of Dennis Ferrer's Objektivity imprint - has remixed 'The Walk' on the A-side. A deep, minimalistic beat drives his remix and a smart breakdown introduces the melody from Tensnake's original, pushing all the original elements to higher heights. 'Running Back' label boss Gerd Janson's 'Keep On Talking' RAW mix is set against powerful drums and acid-tinged synths, with a piano-led breakdown echoing the original melody. The Panorama Bar resident and celebrated producer delivers a unique cut formed of several retro influences to provide a cool new twist on Tensnake's upbeat original. The vinyl release also include's Gerd's beats-only version in the 'Gerd Janson RAW beats mix".

Tunnel Signs is the nom de plume of Australian born lover, fighter and romantic, Ash Moses. With a taste for playing and producing records that embrace the darkness, Moses parts the sea and finds the wonky middle ground between reverb drenched postpunk, hypnotic techno and spaced out disco. Having previously seen releases on labels such as Nein, Clouded Vision and HAKT he now finds a home with Cutters Records with this 12' with Will Buck.
The release, titled 'Spirits' came into existence when Ash relocated to New York City, a place he had long dreamed of from afar. As luck would have it he found himself sharing an apartment with another likeminded electronic musician named Will Buck who became his studio-partner and eventual collaborator. Having bonded over a shared love of synthesizers, drum machines and all things rhythm they soon began their own freeform jam sessions which paved the way for this 12' release.
'Spirits' shares some of the slow hypnotic swagger and dark disco drone of Red Axes and Multi Culti but with a futuristic percussive palette of the likes of Four Tet. The heady modulated elastic synth sounds give way to deep undulating bass patterns and tribal percussion. On the flip, the lights get turned out and the acid turned up with an ominous Techno rework courtesy of Hivern Disc's own Marc Piñol.

Tulipe Starts a New Project With Bloom Series Vol1, a diverse mixture of deep House sound where you can find your choice. The vinyl contains 4 original mix's made exclusively by: Larry Peters & Lucio Spain, Daniele Kama & Simone Burrini and two other producers in the way of tulip Alex Grandy and finally Alessio Caforio.

Early May will see Mihai Popoviciu return with his second long player in the shape of the
'Home' LP on Bondage music, comprising twelve original compositions from the Romanian artist.

Mihai Popoviciu : "The album's called "home" because it is inspired by my experiences from my home city Sibiu in Romania. Home is also the place where the album was produced, in my stripped down studio. It is where I always return to rest and chill after touring the world and the place where I feel most safe and comfortable. The artwork shows an image of the airport lane in Sibiu with surrounding hills and mountains in the back. It is a metaphoric "gate" to both leave and return home."

Romania's Mihai Popoviciu has carved out quite the career over the past decade releasing material through the likes of Highgrade, Hudd Traxx, Poker Flat and Fear of Flying. Here though we see him deliver his second full-length album and return to Bondage Music following a single on the label back in
2013.

Across the project Mihai delivers his signature dance floor focused, stripped back style with records like
'ACK', 'Sandstone Folder' and 'Tentacle Operated' showcasing the hypnotic and percussive style
Popoviciu executes so well. The project also drifts into smooth dubby realms via compositions like
'Cannon Poets' and 'Sunshine' while the likes of 'Triumph' and 'Music 999' radiantly display Mihai's proficient production abilities as he wanders into a brighter more house centric sound.

All in all Mihai Popoviciu turns in a coherent long player whilst exploring a broad range of styles, 'Focus and 'Havana' lay down a groove-led feel with subtle modulations and an unfaltering structure, while
'Data On Data', 'Paranoia' and 'Hypnosia' tip the focus over to dark and brooding territories with murky synth pads and chuggy low end tones. Once again Popoviciu has proven himself to be one of Romania's finest electronic music exports.

More of a cultural artifact than an album in the traditional sense, Osunlade's'Pyrography' first materialised in 2011, intended to mark the closing chapter in his House music journey, the start of a new creative phase. Titled after the ancient artistic practice of burning an image onto a surface, everything about 'Pyrography' implied both ritual and permanence. A few signed, ultralimited edition CD copies of the album were accompanied by a specially
commissioned art book, with original works by highly regarded Australian artist Scott Marr and a series of 'oriki' prayers appearing in print for the first time ever. In 2017, BBE are proud to team up with the mercurial DJ, producer and ordained Yoruba priest Osunlade to make this incredible work of art available on vinyl for the first time. Two heavyweight 12' records
nestle in the front and back covers of a lovingly printed book containing a brief history of the Yoruba culture, Scott Marr's evocative images and those all-important traditional oriki prayers by Maria Oggun Bemi. Placed at the meeting point of art, culture, history, music and spirituality, Pyrography simply cannot be described or compared, much like the ritual Anagó language the project celebrates.

Tucked away in a now not-so-quiet corner of south east London, Wholemeal have been quietly, unobtrusively Getting Shit Done. Wholemeal Music's freshman release hits the shelves this month featuring two cuts from YAM Records boss Tom Esselle and a hoofing remix from fellow south-Londoner West Norwood Cassette Library. Skilfully treading the line between House, Techno, and Jazz, the A-side, Until She Spoke is a superlative exercise in light-touc h sampling and devastatingly effective Rhodes work. It shuffles then stomps, hypnotises then elates, bringing together disparat e threads to create something for the head and the heart. Deftly cutting the hushed ambient tones of Donato Wharton's Absentia' into perfect portions, Frank & Tony loop brittle bits over a chunky kick and shuffling hi-hat to hypnotic effect. The EP's title track evokes the sun-kissed euphoria of early hour raves with its lush atmospherics and playfully subdued piano line buoyed by a thick kick and airy pads. Finally Pavane' takes the previous track's laid back attitude and flips it, adding a thick in-your-face kick and propulsive pads for a foot-stomping, hands in the affair DJ weapon.

SANTONIO ECHOLS RELEASES HIS FIRST VINYL EP ON CHAPTER TWO RECORDINGS
Santonio Echols is part of the first wave of producers out of Detroit. His sound is a combination of Techno to Deep House, and fans have been patiently awaiting this projects release. He has teamed up with legendary Orlando Voorn and Moire Patterns to create Vol. 1 on Chapter Two Recordings. For the vinyl release Side A will have the first track Back 2 Basics featuring Mike Anderson. It is a special remix by Clemens Neufeld produced by Santonio Echols. The second track will be Walk Away solely produced and mixed by Santonio Echols. Side B will feature two tracks Get Up produced by Orlando Voorn, and Jun produced by Moire Patterns. This Vinyl EP will be available this month.
Santonio started his career under the group Reese & Santonio along with Kevin Saunderson. They produced hits entitled: The Sound, How to play our music, Force Field, Bounce your body to the Box, Self-Evidence, Structure, and many others recording under the record label KMS Records/ Kool Kat Records and London Records. Once separating from the group, he moved forward and started his own imprint: Cyren Records, D Records, and Chapter Two recordings. Santonio continues to produce and record until this day.

Hot on the heels of the co-release between Especial and Cocktails d'Amore Music of the Sfire Remixes EP (EES023/CDA013) comes an accompanying release with a pair of deeper, stripped back remixes from the inimitable Timothy J Fairplay and Willie Burns. Well known as producers, DJs and label managers with their Crimes Of The Future and WT Records respectively, as well as appearing on a who's who of electronic labels including Pinkman, Unknown To The Unknown and L.I.E.S, they have appeared in various guises on both Emotional Response and Especial. Here then are 4 remixes - 2 each per side - that take the unique original to new dance floor extremes. Timothy steps up first with his take on Sfire 2 via differing vocal and instrumental versions. His trademark, echo laden rolling percussion and "Carpenter" key lines take the original Synth-pop homage to the dark room. Adding Arps, a lifting, hedonistic breakdown and the scatter-stepper drums and claps found on the Instrumental version and this is pure COTF territory and the better for it. Willie meanwhile has long followed his own path for his take on Sfire 3, offering one of his deepest remixes to date. Thudding kick, brooding pads and dark strings force the vocals to go down, way down for examination. The distorted vocals of Remix 1 are countered by Remix 2 letting the track shine via a seemingly endless 4/4 beat.
