"Hopefully they do not fit into too many sub-genre categories," says Canadian producer and DJ Edward Currelly, aka Eddie C about On The Shore. On The Shore is a compelling musical trip of drifting repetition in rhythm and melody. Recorded entirely in his studio on the shore of the Panke River, Eddie confesses: "Berlin has been so crazy... I have mixed feelings sometimes. The emotions I've had here are like none I've ever had to deal with before. I've had many sleepless nights. I suppose the music is a mix of feelings and inspiration from life here." The story arc of his sample-laden album oscillates between sweet sadness and warming blissfulness. There are strings that can evoke tears, synth lines that may generate dreams and guitars that are able to introduce levitation. But C's life as a traveling DJ has also had a great effect on his art. "I've always written music and always been DJ'ing. They both came around the same time when I was very young. But I've never quite connected the two. I've always thought that they were very different avenues of expression. All the travelling in the last while has been a beautiful experience and so very inspiring and exhausting. One thing I really wish I had more of is routine. Something that many people wish to escape." For a listener it makes no difference where the emotional subtext is originated. Eddie did not dismiss what he has always enjoyed: arranging a mix of instruments, synths, samples and drum machines, that cuts deep into your soul. Each track is an intimate meditation. Sometimes it grooves in the down-tempo fields, sometimes cosmic disco calls the tune and house is around too, but all is propelled by pulsing keys, pitch bends and crashing drum loops. The routine Eddie talks about must be somewhat a part of his life as his usage of samples, his rhythmical accuracy and his sense for small but extra touching melody particles are not just coming from one spontaneous surge of emotion. He also enjoyed the company of his Norwegian buddy Rune Lindbaek on "Auf Der Ufer" - a sublime synth-laden spacey tune. On The Shore is a playful album full of contrasting, deeply atmospheric stages, that range from swinging and propulsive to blissed-out and bittersweet sensibilities.

Jakob Häglsperger AKA Kalipo is a busy man. Operating as one third of German electro-punk band Frittenbude, his solo alias was brought to life in 2014 with debut album Yaruto", released on experimental label Antime Records. The multi-faceted producer now returns to Audiolith with the Wanderer EP", after having released the gorgeous Mäusemarsch' this summer on the label's electronic-focused Stiff Little Spinners compilation series. Wanderer is a restless record which sees Kalipo work his way through the deeper ends of four to the flour with a refreshingly experimentalist approach to production, with defamiliarized samples and analogue gear running the show. The music has changed since the Berliner's debut album, becoming more propulsive, more physical and geared towards the dancefloor. Composed mostly on tour or over extended periods of travelling, the track names on Wanderer' each come with their particular story, referencing places Kalipo has previously played or traveled to. Monolithic opener Donau Sunrise' sets the tone straight from the start with sanguine arpeggiators that work their way across a mystical backdrop. Melancholic themes infiltrate the cracks of the album and stand out tracks Banana Garden", written when Kalipo was stuck in a bamboo hut in the middle of thai jungle with a 40 degree fever and nothing else but headphones, a sampler and penicillin for company, and the stunning Institute Of Cotton Wool' are set to become earworms of the highest order. Wanderer' sees Kalipo right in his element.
A leopard can't change his spots and Magnus International earned his spots in the sequence hue of Oslo's disco scene. 'Disco is the single thread that runs through all electronic dance music.' After an inconsistent hiatus from recording, the Norwegian DJ has finally donned the producer cap resolutely for his debut LP. Echo to Echo promises to be the artist's magnum opus, taking on epic proportions in the album narrative. Prins Thomas' Full Pupp family plays hosts to The Norwegian DJ's infectious disco arrangements as it has done since Magnus and Danny 'Blackbelt' Anderson first worked together as Kalle, Magnus and Daniel. Tracing a line from those early days through his first solo work Kosmetisk, Echo to Echo sees the producer combining the foundation of his sound with cues from the likes of Warp's early catalogue, transposing it into the singular voice that is Magnus International. 'I wanted to go back to Techno from my Youth.' Burrowing inspiration from the likes of LFO and Aphex Twin, Magnus spent two years in the studio refining a hybrid album that is ingrained in disco, but grows its own spots with the acid-infected synth work and inventive beat arrangements that were the signature trademarks of those early pioneers. Titles like Big Red and Echo to Echo are clear nods to these demi-gods of music, which Magnus makes his own in the context of a disco long-player. It's an album built on the foundation of Magnus' strengths as an experienced producer, innovator and DJ. Forged in the caldron of Techno's rich history, with Magnus' distinct style playing host, Echo to Echo takes the listener on journey that transcends time

Disco - Disco ... that´s the first thing that crops to mind by listening to the new Album GOOD MORNING made by Roter & Lewis for the first time. Perfectly selected Vocals and every track with a high talented musical arrangement make it to a life-time experience. In line with their motto : "It`s not what you say, but how you say it", Roter & Lewis always say it groovy, explosive, innovative and with bass. For years they have been a perfect couple (DJ/Producer), creating music from Deep to Techhouse. They were showing their great talent by releasing their songs for example by: Kittball, Strictly Rhythm, Bitten Rec., Thirtyonetwenty, Nervous Rec., Stylerockets, Kiddaz FM, Toolroom Rec., Witty Tunes, King Street Sounds, PWU, and many more... Last year their track 'Folklori' was voted to the Top 10 ADE Techhouse Tracks. The 'Minimal Techno Compilation 2013', known nationwide, was mixed and created by Roter & Lewis this year. But back to the album: each track equally hits. Giving the feeling of summer, sunshine and good times increases the requirement of running to the next open air for partying. A consistently maximum housy sound, but never boring. For the first three tracks Roter & Lewis currently obtains valuable musical support by div-A, Supertash, Abi and Slow Tap. A really good way as we think - all the three things are a blast. The remaining eleven songs of the album almost unnoticed takes you on a journey. Your Phantasy turns you back to the times of Studio54 with overcrowded dance floors, smiling faces and happy people. Sony (Columbia) saved themselves the boys for following Remixes, which underline show talented they are. Their sound took place at many festivals worldwide. Presenting their music life for example in Kazantip (Ukraine), Bogota (Colombia), Mexico City (Mexico), Magnum (Luxembourg), Tresor (Berlin), Lehmann (Stuttgart) and many more.. We are fuckin´proud that the boys release their album on Stylerockets and we are quite sure that GOOD MORNING PEOPLE will be a Hit. April 2014 is the release date. A definitely must have for every sound collection.

Gerd Janson and Phillip Lauer are creatures of habit. Every week, the two club veterans meet up at Phillip's studio and spend an entire day making tunes. And while Gerd often likes to joke that his role in the arrangement is limited to making coffee and looking at his cell phone, it's clear that the two men have forged a potent partnership, one that's been responsible for an astonishing amount of dancefloor heat over the past few years.
Incredibly, this German pair has managed to maintain a relatively low profile, despite the steady stream of music they've released via well-respected labels like Unterton, Delsin, Internasjonal, Permanent Vacation and Live at Robert Johnson. And then there are the remixes—Azari & III, Scuba, The Juan Maclean, Fort Romeau, Avalon Emerson, Massimiliano Pagliara and Sinkane are just a small sampling of the artists who've enlisted Tuff City Kids to work their studio magic.
Throughout it all, there have been whispers of a proper Tuff City Kids album, and now that Adoldesscent has arrived, it will be all but impossible for the duo to linger in the background. After all, the LP is anything but shy—thanks in part to hooky vocal turns from the likes of Annie, Joe Goddard, Kelley Polar and Jasnau—and even the album's instrumental cuts
feature some clear nods to various eras of dance-pop, from the
boogie-inflected funk of Wake People' to the breakbeat techno of Boilered' and the tweaky rave nostalgia of Nordo.' Elsewhere,
first single Labyrinth' is an infectious bit of new wave, while the
guitar-driven Scared' recalls the gloomier side of '80s pop and
Tell Me' is perhaps the record's most playfully soulful moment.
DJs will likely gravitate toward the darting strings of Aska' and
breezy vibes of Farewell House,' yet Adoldesscent isn't entirely
focused on the dancefloor. Dreamy opener Ophmar' evokes the legacy of John Carpenter, while the crunchy R-Mancer' offers up a sort of psychedelic synth freakout.
Much like the Tuff City Kids themselves, Adoldesscent isn't about any one style or sound in particular. It is, however, a cohesive effort, along with proof that the different corners of the electronic spectrum have a lot more in common than we'd all like to admit. More importantly, it's a whole lot of fun, and isn't that what dance music is supposed to be about anyways

Side A - Of Love Mystery _Taken from the Da Soul Revival EP released on Dancemania Records in 1995.Heres another one of Tyrees most sought after tracks. It has that classic four to floor bodyjacking Dancemania Ghetto House sound, with a touch of that Chicago innocence to it. Side B - Kan U Feel It _Originally released in 1998 on Nepenta Records UK. Well,If you like phat beats and thick basslines, then this track is for you. It reminds of those early releases in the 80s on DJ International Records or Trax Records, where the groove was the most important factor.

As the sun rises a little higher in the sky, Above Machine emerge from their Winter hibernation with the first fruits of their impeccably assembled new release schedule.Jonny Nash takes on Jose Manuel's 'Summer Wind' and, much like the superb 'Melody As Truth' releases he's penned, sets out a widescreen canvas of tone and melody, as piano and vocal punctuate the sonic plain. Twisted Tongue take on Maricopa's recently unveilied 'We Could Maybe' feat. Nicola Kramer. And the result sounds like Loose Ends operating as in-house band at a speakeasy orbiting a distant nebula The B Side has Seconds' 'Another Day' beautifully reconfigured for sunrise moments by SLO, while B2 has an original SLO moment 'Bombora' which, much like it's namesake is a gentle Balearic breaker washing over the sonic reef...Bona fide bottled sunshine people - Above Machine are back !

Likewise our debut edition, the second vinyl contains one original and the attached remix. But wether you re in love with the summer vibes or not, in connection with music there has always been a special kind of tune you would want to hear, when the sun shines bright and you stay outs- ide the whole night. When Kalyma played us the SL002, we felt like - Sacrosanct might be the tune who does the job for this purpose. Teaming up with his roommate, the very talented singer KAIND, Kalyma produced a catchy vocal tune with a lot of hands up potential.
Also for this edition we re very happy to welcome our Remixers Leman & Dieckmann, two uprising artists from Copenhagen, Denmark.
The Original tune starts with a solid dry groove. Kalyma adds several little details to the beat me- anwhile atmospheric synths are fading in and claps are creating a strong backbeat. After a couple more bars the main synthline is slowly introduced and tension rises up until KAIND s vocals kick in. At that very moment the magic of Sacrosanct is in full effect. Subsequently the vocals lead to ano- ther drop, which helps to label Sacrosanct as an overall - Hands Up Tune .
Leman & Dieckmann approached the remix with a rough straight forward beat. The percussive tune gains a lot of energy as if they thought of: - Give energy to the people and they bring it back . Well, we ve seen it happen on the dance floor. With the use of the main synthline and the vocals it definitely adheres to the Original, but powerful drops ensure that this one is going to be straight up peak time material.

Luv Jam presents Tonbe and Oddnipp. We found the killer Tonbe summer nipper on the wonderful NANG ARRAY disc and were amazed there was nothing of it on vinyl, hence a quick introduction and a cheeky Oddnipp Renip. A cheeky 10' to add to Jacks catalogue with an odd Kangaroopadella from Bob too!
With Special thanks to Nang and Tonbe.
Superconcious present a further evolution for Melbourne producer András. Looney house recorded with DIY immediacy, this fresh 5 tracker takes subtle cues from Cajmere, Pal Joey and lesser known 90s Australian cuts culled from the 3RRR FM library.'T.N.T.F.' was the fastest track András had even written until revving the Pajero offroad and clocking 138 bpm on 'Always Pumping'. On the two mixes of 'Gold Coast', he finds heaven in a tourist hell, making hotel room acid before hitting the balcony for some cool breakbeat over a Bacardi and coke. The absurdity continues with the horny-Australiana disco of 'Soy Boy', rounding off a welcome return to his inimitable solo work.

Following his stunning Apollo debut album 'Water' in 2013, Anton Zap AKA Anton Barbashev, the Russian electronic pioneer returns to the label for another foray into his highly distinctive, deep and ever evolving productions.
Without doubt one of the leaders of the burgeoning generation of Muscovite electronic producers, 'Subculture' sees Zap building on 'Water's seismic achievements, expanding on his trademark luscious house sound into verdant new areas.
Once again, as we've come to expect from an Anton Zap record, the production is impeccable, with sounds ranging from the blissed-out hip-hop stomp of 'Free Fall' and crunching beats of 'One Week', to the slender, mysterious jazzy breakbeat workout 'Incident' and dubby space-tech of closer 'Pauspapier'. A vital release from one of electronic music's most original and singular voices.

Stop what you're doing right now, you've just found that record that stays with you all summer. The record to soundtrack the BBQ, to gently raise the energy on a hazy evening, to baffle the midnight marauders into dancefloor destruction, to give the early morning ravers that extra kick. That 'one more song'.
WotNot have spent the last two years on a mission to prove that intelligent music can be footloose and fun. This release marks a milestone in this mission, with possibly the most complex bass line to ever stick in your head, from a man whose every DJ set serves as an education as much as a liberation. A man with a hunger for new records that has seen him included as a featured Bandcamp fan alongside the likes of Gilles Peterson.
K15 is known to many musical worlds; a go-to on the UK soul/jazz circuit, with production on Belle's Lapwing EP, and DJ sets supporting the likes of Bilal and Marsha Ambrosius; a figure on the beat scene with his hypnotic instrumental tapes; and spinner of infectious dancefloor oddities old and new across London. This EP presents yet another facet, the soulful, jazz-inflected house that has had man-of-the moment Kyle Hall all ashiver.
Bordeaux has all the sophistication the name implies, a delicious bubbling bass line with subtle notes of garage and building layers of improvisation providing an earthy jazz undertone. Broken beat legend Kaidi Tatham builds on the chord progression in his soul-laden rework, with light-footed percussion adding brightness to his famously refined palette. House rising stars Glenn Astro & IMYRMIND add body to the original in their rejig, fierce swinging house with sermon-like vocal cuts raising the potency to a powerful climax.
B side Hall Of Memories brings its own bubble; simmering, expectant synth textures rising and falling over an evolving bass hook. A perfect summer set opener or closer.
This EP represents the all-encompassing but distinctive flavours that K15 has made his reputation as a DJ on. And how exciting to see him take the first step in another of many directions, with great leaps certain to come.

The latest buzz name on influential lips is that of 22-year-old Londoner Maya Jane Coles. Fresh from the success of her 'What they Say' EP on Real Tone, she drops another bomb here - this time on fledging London based imprint Hypercolour. The EP immediately signals its intentions via title track, 'Humming bird'. A warm, housey effort that kicks off on a light piano tip before the bass quickly creeps back in, it's a simple - yet without doubt effective - Dj tool that's sure to earn repeated airtime from deep house purveyors.

Yoruba Records is proud to present this new album by label veterans Nomumbah. Hailing from Sao Paulo, this three piece consists of André Torquato, Ale Reis and Rafael Moraes. With this release, Nomumbah show a great deal of maturity, a mark often only surpassed with the release of a sophomore album. The track 'Words' will strike a familiar chord with listeners; its clever use of Maya Angelou's reading of her timeless 'Still I Rise' fits perfectly over the top of a deep bass and bongo driven groove. 'MeinHaus' is another beautifully crafted track, one that seemingly pays tribute to Chicago's earliest fathers of deep house while still keeping a certain swing that will set it apart on dance floors today. 'Precious', a definite future favourite, features a cutting lead synth that adds warmth to the track and is accompanied by crystal clear hi-hat bursts and a simple, yet captivating, vocal. This album's title track, 'Amanha', edges on tech house with stripped down percussion, a simple rolling bass line and a pulsing lead synth, perfect for setting a more chilled-out vibe. A deep and at times techy release, DJs will find all 10 tracks well suited for the late night into early morning hours. Featuring rhythmic, chunky bass lines, ambient keys and radiant backing vocals this soon-to-be Yoruba classic is a must have for your kit bag in 2016.

Jelly Roll Soul cohort Jamie Alexander makes his production debut with the Scottish party crew's second release.
The aptly named 'The Stutterer', opens proceedings, rocking a stunted, Pittman-like groove whilst B1 'The Growler' furrows a more subterranean path - all dark grubby beats, disembodied voices and a menacing bass line. Mount Liberation Unlimited's debut 12" on Junk Yard Connections, Astro Travelling Life, has become one of the most in-demand deep house releases of 2014. A year on, they finally deliver a follow-up, this time on Superconscious Records. All three tracks primarily succeed due to their blend of rough analogue elements - crusty drum machine hits, tape hiss, and so on - and the kind of dreamy, stargazing chords and melodies that have always been a hall mark of classic deep house. It's the Detroit techno influenced "Polyphonic Spree" - all cymbal-heavy shuffle, stretched-out chords and funky synthesizers - that arguably stands out, though it's a tough call given the high quality threshold throughout.

For his comeback release on Ukraine's Wicked Bass label, the gloomy producer hiding behind the alias Raw M.T. presents another set of trippy, yet noticeably simplified masterpieces of 90's E-werk informed analog techno. 'Falling Into Nowhere' with its melancholic xylo drops and Twin Peaks infused pads takes us to a setting of descending sadness, while random peak leads and swinging hats on 'Abductions' and 'Essense', in contrast, contribute to a much more dancefloor-friendly and optimistic picture. Richard Sen's last outing on (Emotional) Especial - the bleep revival brilliance of "Songs of Pressure" - was something of a stone cold killer, so hopes are naturally high for this belated follow-up. The title track again digs deep for inspiration, doffing a cap to the starry futurism of Detroit, psychedelic acid and the drum-machine driven jack of early Chicago house. The flipside Dub of the same track takes it into uncharted territory, with hazy, drawn-out chords and post-production effects only serving to emphasize the heavy nature of Sen's vintage groove. Bonus "Shoc Horracore" explores similar territory, while offering a knowing wink towards obscure 1980s horror movie soundtracks and the bold synthesizer lines of Italo-disco.

Tommy Garofalo aka Turbojazz returns to Local Talk after remixing Corrado Bucci back in 2015.A producer with great versatility that started DJing and producing music during the 90's, heavily inspiried by Hip Hop. Sometimes the best things in life come slowly, building up over a prolonged amount of time to reach a perfected state of euphoria. That's the ethos at play as Josh Wink's ever-lasting Ovum imprint release the Breathe EP from Ben Hoo. The London based producer and multi instrumentalist draws on his long list of influences and tastes, weaving in classical structure, down-tempo beats and more into his eclectically flavoured tracks. Following on from his works on the likes of Kindisch, Highgrade and Mute Records, Breathe is another worthy addition to the Ovum roster, following on from recent bombs on the label from the likes of Vince Watson, MANIK and head honcho Josh himself. The title cut takes its time, sensually offering swathes of lush of sub bass, chiming, echoing melodies and deep aesthetics, to create a slow-burning, heart warming track that entices and uplifts throughout its sexy, seductive groove. 'Cloaked Mix' - with its minimal, tick tock rhytym - strips back the emotive sub bass completely, leaving a snarling, industrial edged groove, echoing out the beats and percussion into a vast plain of dynamic space. Two tracks for differing moods, each tailored toward the more emotive side of the dance-floor. On the flip, Israeli tech house hero Shlomi Aber delivers his interpretation of Breathe, a balls to the wall, no nonsense techno blast, it's staunch and unrelenting kick drum setting the pace from the off. Industrial swooshes, fader jabs and crackling, exploding 4th beats evoke memories of late nights, spent in the darkest corners of club land. Finally, Hoo's '561595' draws the EP to a close, a life giving, spine tingling track that nods to ambient trip hop, a soothing plain of heartbeat drums, piano chords and melancholic melodies bring the EP to a blissful, yearning close as Hoo demonstrates another side to his ever impressive cannon of work.
