House Vinyl New Releases - News

Celestial Being visited Nairobi at the end of August and beginning of September 2012 where he worked with local musicians to create celestial music. Kenge Kenge brought Cow horns and hand made drums and were joined by local folk singers Olith, who had come to Nairobi through making music with King Kong and Irungu with his father who has since passed.
When asked what the Kenge Groove sounded like, the receptionist Prisca said "It's like the Angel is Coming" before proceeding to provide additional vocals for all three tracks. Nairobi Story tells of an ancient village story passed down as a folk song to the present generation. Celestial Being kept forgetting whether Olith was male or female and ending up making a song with him called "all woman". This is currently a vinyl only release

Homesick #5 is the unplanned result of a tremendously funky DJ set by General Ludd (Mister Saturday Night / Rubadub) in Hong Kong. Three tracks have been chosen by the Homesick team to reflect the intense disco inferno atmosphere we all felt on that unforgettable night.

Dj Shufflemaster drop chapter two of Ant-Nuclear ep series from his label called "Shiki Kyokai". Housedust Sound System aka Dj Shufflemaster 's original track was released from Sendai-based hardcore label "New Smell" in 2004.The track involve deep, minimal soulful atomosphere and massive groove. Chester Beatty known as Filterd hard disco techno from Tresor, ACV,who made superb driving techno remix that floor burner. Souichiro Masutomi released stuff from swiss MORRIS AUDIO who is keeping more insane housey groove. And new ltalent called Takuma Ohmori made smooth deep tech. These 4 outstanding japanese producers will make progress.

Launched in May of 2014, Tuskegee Music is a 'label of cultural heritage' run by House luminaries Seth Troxler and The Martinez Brothers. With previous releases from the label heads themselves as well as William Kouam Djoko, Ibellini, Filsonik and Jesse Colosso the next installment comes from a new addition to the Tuskegee fold - a veiled, Berlin based legend operating under the guise of Kool D.

Across an extolled catalogue, the man behind Kool D has refined his sound and stamped his own unique brand on House that is consistently interjected with a degree of energy that stand his productions apart from those of his peers. This - his first under this alias - is no exception: a twisted and elongated meld of nifty sound design, tightly swung rhythms and trippy, syncopated bass lines that are guaranteed to send the floor into rapture.

'Casablanca Sessions' kicks off with a series of off-kilter loops set tumbling over a whittled kick drum and creeping tom pattern. African vocals interject and whip up fervour while short, sharp percussive flashes keep momentum rolling. Contorting throughout, tension is astutely lifted throughout while the Dub version on the B-Side offers a more stripped yet effective tool that rounds off yet another solid addition to the Tuskegee series and keeps us guessing where they'll be turning to next!

'Inmensamente' (Immensely) is the first vinyl release by LANOCHE and the first reference on SO UNREAL, a new vinyl-only label based in Madrid.

This three-track EP opens with two deep house tracks ('Te quiero' and 'Extasis') on the A Side and closes with the fourteen-minute-long 'Inmensamente' on its B Side, an atmospheric lo-fi house composition which the EP takes its name from.

LANOCHE is a project where ambient and experimental sounds converge with atmospheric techno and deep house, finding inspiration in the output of labels like Mille Plateaux, Force Inc Music Works, ~Scape, Faitiche, Mule Musiq, Soul People Music, Deepblak, Deep Explorer, Finale Sessions, Aesthetic Audio, Smallville, DIAL / LAID, Underground Quality, Plan B Recordings, Dolly, FXHE, Echocord, Sistrum, Strength Music, Mojuba or Something

With 'Inmensamente', LANOCHE has produced a rare blend of abstraction, introspection and hedonism, carefully distilled into the enticing notes of an underground club sound.

For our second vinyl release we invited one of our favorite artists, Le Babar, to make a soulful house single with Ladybird vocals and recorded instruments by MRKT. We love the many shades of house, and the remixes reflect the many influences are on 294 Records. The first remix from Opolopo brings a darker and deeper interpretation of the original track. The remix from The Checkup is the deep vibe for the dancefloor. To complete the pack, Gilbert Le Funk remix is filled with pure house vibes perfect for any dancefloor.

This various-artists joint features four of today's hottest underground artists and promises to be the anthem of the summer.

With four strong dance tracks built for either the dance floor or the listening room, "Rotate. Freely." will be quick to establish itself as one of the hot summer records to have in the bag. The record features artists who have either been to - or played at - the Freerotation music festival that occurs every July in Wales. AMR Chief Director Malcolm Moore, who makes an appearance on this EP, was inspired by the festival and the music showcased there.

Malcolm's track, "They Just Don't Know You," is a melodic, acid-tinged middle finger to all those in the industry who make assumptions about others based on perception. This first cut features a baseline that grows harsher as the song progresses. The second track, by up-and-comer Natan H (Jordan Hochenbaum) of Gauss (Batti-Batti) offers a belter of his own in "Cruisin'" that starts off innocuously enough but then grows into a bona-fide, acid-bathed heater at its apex.

On the flip, things continue with "Ungentle Into That Good Night" from Chicago Skyway, a longtime AMR family member. As in previous releases on the label, this track features him on the deeper, darker side, yet is still quintessential Skyway with snares, kicks, and high-hats drizzled throughout. A muted, macabre pad swells up from the start, then intertwines with a similarly dark, filtered lead through the remainder of the cut. Finally, Mick Welch, an understated artist from the UK, closes out the EP with "Tetra Hi", a rimshot-infused, arpeggiated number blended with velvety keyboard leads.

Culprit is delighted to kickstart its sixth year with a 50th EP release Maxxi Soundsystem's 'Medicine'.

The 'Medicine' EP represents Maxxi Soundsystem's fullfledged Culprit debut, after providing a standout remix of Burnski & M A N I K's 'YJG' last year. The EP is Maxxi's reunion with his frequent vocal collaborator Name One their massive 'Regrets I Have No Use For' was surely one of the songs of 2012 for the venerable Hypercolour label. Coincidentally, this is a second year running that Culprit begin their year with a record featuring Name One - his work for Adriatique's 'Midnight Walking' got 2014 off to a flying start for the LA imprint.

'This EP represents the pick of the tracks I did working with Name One, they are songs but totally focused on the dancefloor initially I thought of these as 3 singles but we did so many tracks together in a relatively short space of time it seemed only right to introduce them to the world on the same record. Working with Jack (Name One) is always a pleasure his lyrics and ideas are in my opinion a huge level above what you find in most dance music'. Maxxi Soundsystem

'Medicine' EP is a confident statement of intent from the Brightonbased producer, with three singleready songs combined on one strong release. The hookladen title track, the stark groove of 'Lone Raver' and the deeply melodic 'Fading Thought' all combine Maxxi's dynamic composition and crisp production values with Name One's memorable lyrics that go beyond the typical dance music fodder. Maxxi Soundsystem opens Culprit's 2015 with a bang and is certain to be one of the label's leading artists for some time to come.

Mister Ho and Heap are ambassadors of the river Danube. This is their first offering for the ESP Institute. On side A, Collision Resistance throws us into the bowels of an underground sex lair with an adrenaline-laden heartbeat for a kick drum, a rough dose of fisting illustrated by the combination of bassline with low-tom and an unrelenting snare that whips us raw into submission. Somewhere in between the waves of punishment we can start to audibly pick up tortured moans of endurance and pleasure, but maybe its time we pull our minds from the gutter, wipe the sweat from our brow and flip the record for a reward. With side B's Veils Of The Beloved, Mister Ho & Heap deliver us via speedboat to the white isle, coasting along to bouncy staccato bass notes and machine bleeps as a euphoric chord progression puts us in an 808 state of mind. The percussion arrangement and phasing string flourishes are introduced through a filter, opening slowly as if coming up for air from a beautiful blue abyss. These two songs are neither too salty nor too sweat.

Need you back is a collaboration piece between the anonymous Mystep character and vocalist Frank H. Carter III. The original track and vocal laid the grounds for remix work by label regular Jamie Trench, and a most experimental remix by our new friend Dudley Strangeways. This release also commemorates 3 years of Made Fresh Daily, it's been a hell of a lot of fun and learning so far. Here is to another 3, MFD forever.

"Kaleid", 4 trax of wonky, late-nite-swing, the first EP of new house stuff by Nail on his own 89:GHOST label. Step away from the drip-tray. Props to Bones. 300 copies on no-frills black vinyl.

NYC LOFT TRAX + UNRELEASED 1991-1995!!!
Not much known about this release but made by seminal production outfit in the mid 90's NYC... Never before released in any format! ALL KILLER NO FILLER!

Marshall Jefferson, Ron Hardy & Frankie Knuckles collaborating across 2 sides of a single 12" Need we say more Obviously that's a dream line-up right there & of course the results of such a meeting of minds is nothing short of outstanding! Just listen to the record & you'll see! Essential business...

"Ride The Rhythm" came out on Trax in 1986, making it one of the "first wave" House records to land & make a massive impression here in the UK & in Europe. Marshall Jefferson's fingerprints are all over this bad boy, his massive piano riffs, non-stop bass-lines, the pounding drums, everything about this record is just HUGE! He had an incredible knack for making accessible, club tracks with cross over appeal that the underground heads clamored to get hold of at the same time. Throw Frankie & Ronnie (literally) in the mix & you've got solid, classic, all-time Gold on your hands (& turntables!).

Fully re-mastered, re-pressed & re-released for 2015 in it's original format with the permission & participation of all rights holders with all original Trax label artwork intact.

Set to cause serious heat, Hot Creations release the mighty 'Gotham City' from Rydim featuring the electrifying voice of Chicago house legend Paris Brightledge. The release also offers a sonic remix from Simon Baker under his techno moniker BKR Projekt plus an alternative 'Moonlight Mix'.
'How would acid vocal House for Berghain sound" is the question Rydim asked himself when tweaking the heavy acid line on his modular synth. After hearing the track it's undeniable that he's answered it.
German born Rydim has been stirring up dance floors and releasing records since 2002. His music covers house, techno and everything inbetween under a variety of pseudonyms. His tours have included the most prestigious clubs such as Berghain, Watergate, Womb and Trouw amongst many.
Vocalist Paris Brightledge is renowned for his releases on DJ International in the 1980's, the anthem with Sterling Void 'It's Alright' and most recently for his work with Paranoid London.
Simon Baker shot into the limelight in 2007 and has since made an impact on labels such as Cocoon, Saved, 2020 Vision, Rekids and more recently on Adam Beyer's True Soul and Drumcode. 2015 saw the launch of his new label and BKR Projekt offering more stripped back and timeless techno sounds.

Hot Creations call upon VIVa boss Steve Lawler for their next release, rounding 2014 off with a bang - an amazing year for the leading label. With such a widespread knowledge of music and the industry, here Lawler gives us a musical education. 'House Record' is a dose of old school 80s house injected with a modern twist with 'City Nights' following suit on the B-side. There is no doubt both tracks will dominate the dance floor at peak time, capturing each heart with their infectious bouncing bass-lines, pacey percussions and all round feel good energy. This is proving to be a huge release for Hot Creations and Steve, featuring heavily in Jamie, Richy, Lee and Steve's set's... this is seriously HOT!

Steve's music can be found on highly respected labels such as R&S Record, Drumcode, Cocoon, OVUM, Rekids, Soma, and of course his own imprint VIVa MUSiC. He also has a huge release dropping on Seth Troxler's Play It Say It at the end of this year. Remixes of high prole artists such as Jamelia, Dido and Justin Timberlake can also be found. Head of the respected VIVa MUSiC, Lawler founded the label in 2006 and has featured artists such as Reboot, Jamie Jones, Davide Squillace, Luca Bacchetti, Bushwacka, Plasmik, Ripperton, Peace Division, Tiefschwarz and many more.

Charmin Records announce their 5th release, a split EP coming from label boss Florist and close friend/collaborator Tilman. From their base in East Germany, Charmin have been slowly but surely putting together an impressive catalogue of releases and this next offering keeps up this trend with aplomb. The EP shows that, while remaining deeply rooted in house, Charmin can bring many different colours and sounds to the table. We kick off with Tilman, who steps up to the plate with two cuts of excellent deepness. The A Side opens with 'Horizon', which all hinges on lush piano stabs and a deep, deep 808 kick drum. Next up 'Never Go Back' which is a brooding, heads down number. The sultry chords are wonderfully understated, brimming with energy. Over on the flipside, Florist's 'That Morning', which focuses on solid house percussion weaved together with silky Rhodes chords. Finally we round things off with 'Acid8', this bubbly number doesn't rely too heavily on tired tropes, but just builds up energy with the hypnotic acid line, playing with the swing of the rhythm track to break up the formula nicely.

Early Carl Craig release from 1993 under his Urban Culture alias.
Fully re mastered for 2014 and pressed in original artwork.
Released in conjunction with KMS off shoot Eclipse Records.

Sampler 1 includes select tracks taken from Terry Farley's recent Chicago Acid House retrospective for Harmless.
These samplers are geared towards the DJ's and vinyl lovers who may have missed these tracks first time around or to the new fans who have just discovered the windy city's own unique brand of machine funk and want to dig deeper!

This sampler features DJ Rush's "Lookin' For Excitement", a frantic, snaking jack track of the highest order, one for the slam dancers - watch out for those snare drums! Also featured is Terrance McDonald's "Mind Over Matter", a deep, rolling electronic workout with building, epic synth lines and a jagged bassline that won't quit. Rounding out the EP in fine style is "To The Motherland", a tribal-esque percussion heavy cut from Steve Poindexter and Kareem Smith from '88.

An excellent addition to any seasoned House fans record bag, or the perfect starting point for those who are new to the genre, "Acid Thunder Sampler 1" contains rare and out of print tracks carefully selected and re-mastered for maximum effect.

After the success of last year's Various Artists Backpack EP, French house label D3 Elements is back with another fine four track affair that pulls together some key producers. Detroit soulful house star Terrence Parker is back once again, and he is joined by D-Knox, Dan Curtin and TechElectro.

It is Cleveland man Dan Curtin, a veteran of labels like Peacefrog, Metamorphic and Bass Culture. His cut 'House Spirits' is a summery, feel good house roller with trilling keys and organic chords all making for a jazzy vibe. Then comes a more synthetic and abstract cut, 'Stars That Never Die', from TechElectro aka the fearsome American techno duo of Solid Gold Playaz, who also release as Dark Matrix. Full of beeps and squeaks, smooth chords and broken rhythm, their cut is a truly original concoction that is sure to standout in any set.

On the flip side, D-Knox aka Groove Man, who has been producing spiritual techno since the 90s, offers 'Summer Beach Time,' a cool as you like track with breezy chords, radiant pads and wooden sounding percussion flapping along next to the drums. It's a fresh and original production that sounds like little else, and then it is to Detroit's positive force, Terrence Parker, for 'So Beautiful.' Deep and romantic, laid back and soothing, it is a sweet as you like house jam with magic chords and plenty of heart warming grooves. Once again, D3 Elements serve up proper house music with real feeling.

Dave Aju's, The Freee Lover EP has landed as the 1st new artist release on the newly re-launched MFF and setting the benchmark for the label. With a huge worldwide fan base and instinctual passion for delivering fresh sounding quality material, the name Dave Aju has become synonymous with originality and diversity. The Freee Lover EP offers 3 original tracks from Aju and an amazing remix from Germany's SoulPhiction. Find A Lover & Givin It Dub are 2 signature Aju cuts, deep and soulful tech house featuring original vocals and just the right amount of jack. Freeeze takes route firmly in the leftfield. A discordant downtempo number, with muted jazzy chords and twisted grooves, a sure fire track for sunrise dance floors. To top off the package, SoulPhiction inject some peak time energy back into Freeeze, offering a beautifully produced, perc lead tech roller.

Four deep, underground house stylings from the mind of DJ Aakmael.....
Pressed on yellow vinyl.....

Snork Enterprises is going W!ld, this release will make your eyes glisten!!! Known for his releases on Catwash, Robsoul, Love Letters from Oslo and many more labels, we´re happy to announce that Mr. DJ W!ld found his way to Snork Enterprises, which surely brings the label a supreme kick of groovy and pleasant cheerfull housemusic from Paris. Next to the violin version of "Pour tes jolis yeux", there will be two more tracks available on a hot and touchable vinyl.

Fresh from his collaborative EP with Loz Goddard on Dirt Crew, Harry Wolfman brings his inimitable style to Secret Reels with a perfect summer 3 tracker.

Lead track 'Casillero' is a slice of sun-kissed vocal house with Rhodes so warm they will have you reaching for the ice bucket! Bristolian singer Ella Chi adds the soul with her gospel-esque vocal performance, this wouldn't sound out of place in a basement or on a Thai beach in the blazing sun.

Second track Mango Lime oozes class, freshly squeezed low slung funk of the highest order. If this were a cocktail, you would get the sweetness of the vocal snip, Rhodes and bassline but with the kick of the acid and synth line. Like any good cocktail, it will get the party started.
If you don't know about Saine, then you better get to know! He has impressed on EP's for Odd Socks, Fools & Fables and the always on-point Sleazy Beats. Laid back grooves are what this remix is all about. Saine slows things down and lays down a bassline so smooth it will have you gliding across the dancefloor. He adds his signature synth lines to round things off.
Final track Media Shy is the stomper of the EP with a kick bigger than Kanye West's overdraft. This sounds absolutely massive in a club, the bassline is ominous yet the hi-hats make you want to nod your head.

Watch your step and follow up closely: Jascha Hagen is ahead to take us back on the railroad tracks to a different time. From beam to beam and foot by foot this soundtrack of long gone adventures paints vivid memories in modern colors. Jascha knows his craft and how to combine past and present like few others. The result is a lovely luettje two-track EP with a distinct atmosphere driven by lush beats. Since every treasure needs its chest they ship on a limited 7" with a special laser-carved sleeve. The sirens would be pleased.

After one & and a half year without editing Bloop Recordings (Lisbon) returns with Magazino. # 22 is the track

and the remixes are from well-known Brett Johnson and Tiago Marques. VINYL ONLY!

Our label brings family, friends and fresh talents together, and is built on a strong relationship around the people and their talents. We stay true to our roots, traditions and culture, always forward thinking and cutting edge.

The next step in the evolution of the label sound came from our fellow Dubai based UK friend Nohijo (Lee Sandwith) for the second instalment. Nohijo has been releasing for a while and has recently evolved himself to more raw stripped back house and techno feel.

Japanese outfit Rhythm of Elements clearly sharse the same vision as Mr Trent, drawing inspiration from african drum mastery and classic jazz/ soul sounds. Another inspirational testament to the universal appeal and impact of an unique style of deep spiritual dance music cemented since the prescription heydays. Trent's remix has a more electronic sound.
