Equally dabbling into DJing/live act or sound art installations (for renowned institutions in Paris and Rome, among others), Ben is also building up a definite career in production that first took off with an EP on Minibar and a remix of Carl Craig's classic Bug In The Bassbin on Planet E. Immersed in contemporary classical music, jazz, techno and various house subgenres, he claims a diversity that's been showcased in all its subsequent interventions on labels such as Eklo or Balance with a collaboration with the legendary Chez Damier. With his music mate Leiris, he will be launching soon a vinyl label called Reduce Records, in order to release their finest music pieces.
The track "Trem" for Silver Network reflects the diversity of his influences, surely a dancefloor-oriented bomb track ! On the remix tip, it's useless to present legendary artist from New York City Elbee Bad and Paris based Chris Carrier ...

One of the most exciting up and coming artists of recent times, Detlef makes his debut on the mighty Hot Creations with his 'Kinky Tail EP' featuring three jacking bombs plotting a riot on the dancefloor.
In a short space of time Detlef shot into the limelight with releases and remixes for well-respected labels including Knee Deep In Sound, Moon Harbour, and Defected. Equally at home behind the decks as he is in the studio, the unique party vibe that he brings to his live and DJ sets quickly earned his place as a regular VIVa Warriors resident.
Often billed on the same line-up with industry giants and with releases and remixes forthcoming on Edible Records, Hot Trax, Emerald City and Moon Harbour, Detlef is definitely one to keep an eye on.

Sensoramic is a new label on a mission of sensory expansion. For the debut release the UK based imprint drafts new producer Karousel to deliver two cuts of machine driven house. S.A.M., the Danish Oscillat/Delaphine favourite appears on the remix fresh from delivering a slew of killer originals and remixes as well as his most recent Mandar collaboration with Lazare Hoche and Malin Genie. On this Reshape, he is at his most sublime best delivering an emotive retake on the original that stretches heady organs and melodies alongside a beat that refuses to let up.

Les Graciés is a collaboration in the truest sense between Paris-based sound artist Gaël Segalen and Deepblak co-founder Afrikan Sciences. Segalen's experiments in electroacoustic sound met the wider world this year via a debut LP for Erratum, an arresting work that showcases her ability to merge hypnotic murk ala Angus MacLise with the hard concréte of Parmegiani & Reibel. Segalen's IHearU imprint / organisation is a platform for her various doings, including psychogeographical audio works and multi-media collaborations, as well as servicing as a reference point for other contemporary female artists working across various mediums. Eric Douglas Porter aka African Sciences has been deconstructing and re-building forms of contemporary Black music since the mid-2000's, through releases on Deepblak (the label he co-runs with Aybee) and PAN. His musical universe is one of warping cadences and celestial melody, referencing the bold work of percussionists like Milford Graves & Art Jenkins, the dissonant chords of Motor City Techno and stripped back essence of early Chicago House matched with broken Hard Bop sentiments: all tied together with an aesthetic that sits somewhere between Sun Ra's omniverse, Jean Giraud Mœbius and Dogon cosmology. Together as Le Graciés, Segalen and Porter make a wholly unclassifiable strain of music that, while containing recognisable elements of each individual's work, also creates a third entity in the process, which can be heard to stunning effect on their forthcoming debut LP 'Low Doses' for Firecracker Recordings.

Following the royal success that was Maximum Joy, Alfresco is back with another release. 2015 marks ten years of Alfresco Disco parties. The label is still only young, however - but the crew bring their party planning, djing and producing experience into the label. The Maximum Joy pt. 2 presents 4 good friends of the Alfresco Crew, both old and new, who each bring something different to the e.p whilst still maintaining the free spirited Alfresco Vibe. Thermal Bear brings in a straight up classic deep house beat with 'Round and Round'. Outrageously warm chunky production and one to keep the crowd moving in the wee hours. Kemback's effort shuffles effortlessly into the mind, taking you on a dreamy trip to somewhere wonderful. A strong nod to Floating Points here with it's heavy swing, gritty drums, and Kemback makes subtle but powerful use of his fine musicianship. James Fox brings the good time disco-house vibe with the sample-heavy 'Feeling Free'. The wonderful arrangement and vocal make this a pure summer record that's been getting great crowd reactions. Our Cornish Connection and newcomer Kieran Holden slows it down and makes it nice and trippy with the magnificent 'Wild Palms'. We love this dark, acid tinged sound which adds a different dimension to the ep and shows why Kieran has already been getting props from the likes of Tici Taci and the LFOS crew.

Summer 2016 and its time for the seventh annual trip to the beach with your favorite Nangster crew. This time sailing the ship is San Francisco resident and all round top producer chap Aimes. He has spun a web of summer disco beach tunes to get the sundown grooves deep, long and funky.
First up "Spyboy" from the Korvids. They get the groove going with funky brass, jazzy Rhodes and Isley brothers style summer breeze fuzz guitar. Mysterious Englanders 1Blip2 are next up with our man Aimes debuting his shimmering nu disco rework of their brooding "Onka" track. It can be summer in Siberia too you know!... and just to prove it Kim And Buran serve up the sun-drenched synth funk of Running On The Waves. Things get lurrrvely with Sare Havlicek and the Barry White throated OD Hunte and their rolling beach synth-funk before JMRS and Ride Front Man Andy Bell mix the 90s indy rock with a Balearic groove.
Aimes delivers a second premiere with his stomping "Olas Altas" before we head off for a spot of dreamy 80s inspired melodic synth with "Stargazing" from Moon Mood. Dagfest "I Got The Feeling" samples a little known 70s funk gem from James Walsh. Italian remix meister DJ Rocca turns up the dance floor groove with his slick re-rub. We then head off to South American with Future Feelings and their superb floor led "Find Out" (Irregular Disco Workers on a first class remix). Madrid based Rayko is next with his electronic disco dance funk Why
Next, we mix things up with UK based Situation featuring Andre Espeut "Stay With Me" getting a smooth floaty dance rework from Russian based 5 Reasons. It is then off to the Canary islands for Nang favorite Ilya Santana to debut one killer new track from his future LP. "Hammerhead" is big grooves, big guitars and big funk with Italian wonder worker Tobor on the remix. Bestinspace "Freedom Ltd" gets the Pete Herbert treatment next with it space funk groove.
It is off to Italy for Disco legend Beppe Loda next with his Egotrya project and his sweeping 80s analog synth pads in his "Volcano" epic. Folano "Begin" is next with Sportloto smooth pads and melodic chords working over a solid disco groove. Sheffield residents Hiem return with their zany "Lions Cheetahs Enforcers" with Siberian groovers Kim and Buran on the remix case once more. We close up with a slice of lazy guitar-drive yacht groove from San Francisco based Sorcerer and his shimmering "Video Magic".
The best of summer nu disco groove distilled down to one mix. Nang out friends.

After a killer 2015 for Heist that brought with it 12s from (a.o.) Brame & Hamo, Fouk and new recruit M.ono, and a great Frits Wentink release to kick off 2016, we're happy to bring you this bright and vibrant package courtesy of....ourselves. 2015 has been such an amazing and busy year for us, with loads of work on a new version of our live show with a new Detroit Swindle member on the keys well as countless other shows and records on Heist and Freerange).Right now, we're happy to say that we've made good use of our studio time and have fired up our gear to record the 'In Reverse' EP. This EP for us represents a period where we've been enjoying loads of new music, and have gotten inspiration from many different sources, to see in what way we can expand the Detroit Swindle sound. The 4 tracks on this EP each showcase a different part of us ranging from house to acid to disco to warehouse, and will have something for the classic DS fan, as well as some new vibes. We hope you'll like what you hear. Sincerely yours, Lars & Maarten

Seth Troxler lines up the next 12" on his label of cultural heritage Tuskegee Music. In the follow up to stellar output from Butch and Bas Ibelleni as well as Phil Moffa, The Martinez Brothers & Jesse Calosso collaborating under Soundview - the next in the series comes courtesy of the mighty D-Knox.
Those in the know will know what to expect: rich atmospheres, potent drums and a healthy measure of spacey synthesis. Throughout recent records on EPM and his own label Sonic Mind as well as his charitable 12' on French label D3 Elements alongside Terrence Parker, Techelectro and Dan Curtin for the benefit of children of Detroit - D-Knox has continued to refined these sounds and his recent 12' for 'His 'Mind Your Reality' EP combines all in abundance.
'All Energy' - a celestial trip lead by flexing synth chords and tight, icy percussion before the masterfully crafted 'Fornicate' demonstrates D-Knox's knack for sound design as reverb builds a capacious space for feedback signals and dissonant, interweaving melodies. 'Chosen Goals' then renders a harsh landscape as punching drums rattle through glowing sweeps and a menacing bass groove.
'Intentions' then follows up as softened melodies are set rebounding off of distant pads. Subtle tension broods throughout as a set of interplanetary excursions are brought to a close. Now a cemented member of the EPM roster with a contribution to a future 15-year comp on the way - D-Knox brings depth and experience to Tuskegee as another coup is capped of.

Amsterdam house head and Slapfunk artist Daniele Temperilli extends the 'ruff and ready' formula Kakudo records brings to vinyl addicted dancefloors worldwide. A formulae clearly showing: club music remains about tracks. Massive tracks - that is! In which Temperilli focuses on the power of our label's core ingredients. Raw beats, raw bass. Being part of the leading Dutch House movement he caters an energetic mixture of thumpin', bass-fuelled vibes. As minimalist as eerie, as funky as mad, as oldschool as futuristic!
A: Eerie Power
Eerie indeed, this track shines best in the dark of a foggy, sweating club. While a dirty rattlin' garage beat workout and swellin' bass push this track forward, it takes but a few psychoactive sounds and bubbly synth fx plus a maddening old school hiphop vocal to dig deep into your body and soul.
A2: Eerie Power/ U Know The Drill Mix
U Know The Drill slightly straighten out the original's skippy beat, while celebrating the dry as fuck attitude of a dirty 909 kick even more. Every drumsound is forced to ensure its filthy drive to the fullest. In order to dance, in order to pump fists, while soles are burnin and souls are explodin' on the floor.
B1: Ceci
Some techno-ish and heavy beat-roll reminiscing the likes of Green Velvet and DJ Rush in parts, meeting freaky noises and fx. A marching groove that does not need a lot besides the belching combination of kick and bass here. Should this be Techno Garage Whateva! It's a dirty game, and we love it!
B2: Curare
Curare' equals the infamous poison that is shot with deadly arrows. The shortest EP track dishes out a low slung, heavy beat, combining the drive and feel of techno, house and garage in their rawest forms. A trippy, venomous synth signal sound finishes off the victim that has become prey to the beat.

Sidney Charles, Dj Haus, Samuel Deep, Anil Aras, Wouter S, Locklead, Timmy Perry, Rafael Kakudo

The arrangements were conceived between 2011 and 2012, and the l.p. was finally assembled in 2013, while the artist was homeless in Los Angeles, California. This edition also includes a previously unreleased bonus track, "Troll Song", which originates from the same period. Embezzlement Society takes us back to the early days of 80s Hip-Hop with his 'Rough Quarters EP'. On his record the man from Belfast heavily relies on Funk-based drum loops as were popular in the glorious days of old school Hip-Hop. The results are two super casual tracks with a cool Hip-House attitude - just perfect for Hip-House lover Drei Farben House who took the chance to contribute a remix in his slick and smooth style, merging the raw drums with some tender Rhodes. Tenderpark regular Roman Rauch finishes off the EP and slows down the tempo in his remix concentrating on the originals of the samples and displaying his mastery with the MPC once more. As always all tracks have been mastered and cut by Helmut Erler at Dubplates & Mastering.

There's a couple guest appearances as well: Damian Schwartz plays some bass on "Sidewalks" and Eureka provides "a hell of a (vacuum) rev" on "Stage Left."

'Tablao' is a dubbed out infused roller that incorporates live recorded elements referencing the wooden floor where the flamenco dancers perform on. Full of atmosphere and suspense with guitar and percussion elements layered with chords that brings the drama of the dance.
First lady of the Dutch house & techno scene Estroe (Rosedale Records) takes on the alternative A-Side with a dark and atmospheric cut full of mystery and breakbeats. The B-Side is headed up by Pablo Bolivar (Avantroots Records), his subtle, warm and intriguing mix is coupled with a more jazzy vibe, playing around with the chords to give a more balearic sound. Lastly UK Producer MJ F!TZ (HATCHED) takes things down the road of vigorous beats, stabs, vocal cuts providing an energetic workout with emphasis on the deep soundscape of the original.
Designed with the music collector in mind the limited (500) vinyl release will be available from May 2015 packaged in hand made sleeves made from recycled materials.

Italian imprint Dabit Records is racking up the releases, this time enlisting the services of UK producers Hidden Spheres and HBN.
The EP opens up with 'Need Your Love' a piano cut which croons and filters its way through 7 mins of pure unadulterated house goodness.
Italian producers Die Roh are asked to work their analogue magic on the 'Need your Love' track. Upping the tempo and taking things back to the early 90s in one fell swoop. A raw, deep down and dirty interpretation of the original and a great addition to the EP.
'No House' by Hidden Spheres is a pitched down anthem of a track, big strings and delaying vocals make for an epic feel.
Finishing things off is the more tech tinged 'Control'. The Korg M1 organ bass is in full affect, nicely tied together with a chugging beat and yet another big vocal cut.
A great package with a track for every occasion.

The Trunkfunk label has been pushing out quality electronic music from its Gothenburg base for fifteen years now.
Owned by local promoter Nibc it has had an open hearted approach to its releases which have featured house, electronica and bumpy urban beats since 2000. For this latest offering the imprint turns once again to local talent 'Ishivu' for two cuts of deep and cultured house music backed with remixes from Matt Karmil and Shakarchi & Straneus. The release will appear as a limited vinyl 12" with its own unique, hand drawn artwork by renowned artist Ingo Giezendanner.
The record opens up with the excellent 'Gryning' , meaning 'dawn' in Swedish. It's a stripped backed affair with a bobbling bassline and sparse percussion leading the way before a multitude of off-kilter FX hit the sound pallette to great effect. The addition of warm, swelling pads, subtle melodic parts and muted vocal snippets all add to the depth of the production and give a sense of early morning. In compliment to dawn, Ishivu follows up with 'dusk', or 'Skymning' as it's titled in his native tongue.
Filtered toms and skittering hats blend with understated birdsong to lead the listener into a hypnotic and immersive track dominated by edgy bass and wonky pads. The EP is completed with two remixes of 'Gryning'. The first comes from UK DJ/producer Matt Karmil who has had a busy year, releasing on Tim Sweeney's Beats in Space label and remixing for the likes of John Talabot and Axel Boman's Talaboman. Here he reworks the original into a more direct dancefloor cut whilst retaining the charm of Ishivu composition. The second mix comes from Studio Barnhus regulars Shakarchi & Straneus who reassemble 'Gryning' in their own image, dropping in delayed vocal edits and scattered percussion to delvier a near perfect groove.
This is a sublime package from a producer that deserves our attention.

London based duo Moodtrap have remained anonymous under this guise since stepping onto the scene in 2011 via Tsuba Records, although the pair have a long standing relationship with electronic music having been releasing material and touring the globe for many years.
Here we see the pair add a new label to their affiliations, namely London's Lower East which has just celebrated a milestone five years releasing material.
Title track 'Make It Better' kicks off the release here and see Moodtrap deliver their signature raw sound with dry crunchy drums, glitching bass stutters, mesmeric chord sequences and a snaking amalgamation of vocal lines throughout the records seven and a half minute duration.
4Lux's Gerd steps up to rework Make It Better next, adding an even rawer edge to things with lo-fi rhythms, penetrating rave stabs and intricately processed snippets from the original composition.
Lower East's lead man Cozzy D steps in to reshape Make It Better to follow, bringing a more direct house feel to things via looped vocal swells, a bumpy sub bass hook and swinging 909 drums.
Moodtrap return with a second original next to close the package, in the shape of 'Ethos Of Love' which drops the tempo and fuses shuffled drums and vocal stabs with wandering arpeggios and hooky chord hits...

Awaking from the dreamstate of Gryningen's hazy library inspired 10", we find Aficionado's expert selectors well rested and in the mood for a dance.
Utilising their extensive network of global connections, Moonboots and Boardman enlist Hungarian producer San Laurentino to raise spirits and pulses with a deep and diverse collection of body movers.
Perfectly conjuring the nostalgic melancholy its title suggests, opening track 'First Love' takes us by the hand for one last dance under the stars.
Cinematic pads sweep around a snapping drum pattern as a signorina from Rimini embraces a Basildon boy, seeing out the summer season to the hair raising chords and spine tingling sequences of a San Laurentino's masterpiece.
While that holiday romance might have come to an end, 'Back To The Stars' leads you off in search of new experiences. Emotive pads, undulating bass sounds and celestial keys vie for attention while the solid kick, intricate percussion and lively hats play out a swaying rhythm. Then all of a sudden the track changes tack completely, tripping out to a modular melody and sinuous techno bassline before reaching a soul soothing conclusion.
On the B-side 'Long Way Home' lulls us into a false sense of security via a gentle drumbox bossa, before thick bass stabs and a tough new beat rhythm take control of our bodies. Once again San Laurentino packs the track with atmospheric chords but this time adds delicate guitars and subtle piano, balancing the steely rhythm section with deep emotional resonance.
Closing the EP with unrivalled sophistication, 'Amici' sees San Laurentino drop the tempo and concoct an irresistible low slung groove before expanding our minds with wavering pads, hypnotic chimes and misty synth vox.
The perfect finale to an EP certain to leave you misty eyed on the dancefloor. Officially Aficionado
SEFF doing what he does best here courtesy of a new EP that's full of killer up-tempo hues and isn't for the feign of heart. To put it mildly: this one will positively desiccate any dancefloor it is allowed to roam free on.
The aptly named 'Warehouse' gets us underway.
A booming track full of brilliant high-end notes, it will keep you intrigued throughout. On remix duty is none other than sometime Hot Creations man, Robert James.
His remix is a more curious proposition full of ample percussive textures and a groove that keeps your attention firmly locked in throughout.
The second half of the release gets going with Liquid Nights an unconventional track that's buoyed by a host of spiky synths and unlikely vocal snippets.
The drums are pronounced too, giving it a vague techno edge that helps lend it that something extra.
12Stories remix is more languid and laid-back, and in the process it helps give the release an added diverse gloss. Good times aplenty on this one.
