Anders Enges interest in modular synthesizers comes from a desire to shut down conscious decisions about form and to focus on rhythm and timbre. This does however not land in traditional techno but rather in a riff-oriented style, the riff being both rhythm and "melody" and also a morphing entity in the music. Drums and percussion attempt to follow this entity, while maintaining a link to the dance music pulse. The resulting style makes for a hybrid timewarped experience of travelling a parallell electronic music reality, a brooding technoid that grooves.

Despite having deep roots within the club scene as a acclaimed producer, remixer and busy DJ, Kasper Bjørke has in the past years been focusing his own album productions on song oriented compositions, suitable for home listening rather than the dance floor. The DJs and ravers have been kept busy with remixes of his original versions - but for this new release, Kasper turns his own full attention to the business of making people move. 'Fountain of Youth' is a mini-LP drawing on Kaspers 15 years immersed in club culture and inspired by some of the genres he plays in his own DJ sets around the world, house, classic electro, post disco and techno. It's exceptionally executed, a masterclass in exquisite sound and production - and a innate knowledge of dance floor dynamics. 'Cloud 9' is the haunting and melancholic 808 breakbeat infused lead single (which features Urdur on the vocal version, known from the Icelandic collective GusGus) - an intoxicating 90s vocal house music tribute, that will surely both provide euphoric moments on the club floors and warm the hearts of radio audiences alike. Cloud 9 is released accompanied by luminary remixes from Gerd Janson (Running Back), Marvin & Guy (Hivern Discs) and Weval (Kompakt). 'Klint' is a throbbing and fun jam that conjures up memories of post disco and itchy italo. 'Rays' draws on a dreamy, descending synth theme, 808 patterns and a thick, punchy low end. 'Zenith (feat. bekanntermaßen bandübergreifend. Was aber nur die Wenigsten wissen: im Nebenprojekt Rayon seit zwei
Jahrzehnten auch solo. Auf seinem Album "A Beat Of Silence" präsentiert Acher hypnotisch-verschachtelte
und minimalistisch arrangierte Instrumentalwelten. Wie der Titel bereits vermuten lässt, spielen dabei die
Leerstellen zwischen den einzelnen Tönen eine entscheidende Rolle: Es sind Melodien, Loops und
Arpeggios, die sich in die Höhe schrauben, die scheinbar gegenläufig sind und dabei doch so ineinander zu
Taktkombinationen verschränkt, dass einem schwindlig werden kann. Einen zentralen Faktor stellen in
diesem Kontext javanesische Gamelan-Klänge dar, deren Ensemble von Metallophon- und BambusflötenSchichtungen in etliche Richtungen zugleich anhebt und dabei doch ein aufbrausendes, schwirrendes
Ganzes bleibt, etwa wie eine Formation von Sperlingen. Wie die meisten Aufnahmen von Rayon gleicht auch
"A Beat Of Silence" dem Soundtrack zu einem verschollenen Dokumentarfilm, in dem schemenhafte,
verstaubte Archivbilder von Städten zu sehen sind, die im Zeitraffer entstehen und wieder vergehen. Das
Album erscheint als CD sowie auf 500 Exemplare limitierte LP.

Synths Versus Me is a prolific duo formed by Vanessa Asbert and Nico Cabañas. They already put out a bunch of releases edited by Oráculo Records. Minimal Synth, EBM and Cold Wave from Lloret de Mar (Spain).

This 12' EP (ltd. 300 copies) includes two brand new tracks and two exclusive remixes. The original version of 1987' is an atomic bomb of pure vintage EBM in the vein of Signal Aout 42 and Front 242. The remix done by Dirk Da Davo from The Neon Judgement keeps the feeling of the track but adding some drums, guitar samplers and sequences trademarked by this Belgian legend. On the b-side there is the original mix of Aimless Device', an electro-pop tune with catchy melodies, analogic bass lines and female voices. The remix prepared for this track by the new american sensation Boy Harsher is a surefire dancefloor full of hypnotic beats and dark atmospheres. All tracks remastered by Eric Van Wonterghem at Prodam Studios (Berlin).

Mit dem Album "OstWest" komplettiert das Berliner Elektronik-Kraut-Dub-Trio Automat eine bemerkenswerte
Trilogie. Während sich das 2014 erschienene Debüt "Automat" thematisch um die vier Berliner Flughäfen
rankte, lotete "PlusMinus" (2015) die Möglichkeiten der Klangmaschinen und Effektgeräte des Dub aus, um
hypnotische Weltraumklänge zu erzeugen. "OstWest" ist eine musikalische Interpretation der aktuellen
gesellschaftlichen Situation, die durch die vielen Neuankömmlinge in Deutschland entstanden ist.
Hintergrund: Die Albumaufnahmen fanden 2015 in den "Candy Bomber"-Studios auf dem ehemaligen
Berliner Flughafen Tempelhof statt, also auf dem Höhepunkt der Flüchtlingskrise. Für die Band bedeutete das
eine unmittelbare Nachbarschaft zu Tausenden Flüchtlingen aus dem Nahen Osten und Afrika, die in den
einstigen Hangars direkt unter dem Studio eine provisorische Unterkunft gefunden hatten. Wie bereits bei den
beiden Vorgängern bilden auch auf "OstWest" eine Reihe atmosphärisch dichter und rhythmischer
Meditationen die Grundlage für flirrende Elektronikklänge und basslastige Rhythmen. Dennoch wirkt
"OstWest" druckvoller, die "krautige" Dynamik der Band kommt mehr zur Geltung und beschert den Stücken
einen amtlichen Groove.

2013 unterschrieb Christine Owman bei Glitterhouse und veröffentlichte dort die beiden Alben "Queen Of The
Underground" und "Little Beast". Deren Einflüsse reichten von Post-Rock, Psychedelic, Grunge, Punk und
New Wave bis hin zu Klassik. Owman tourte bereits weltweit mit Künstlern wie SoKo, Wovenhand, Robert
Plant oder Vånna Inget. "When On Fire" produzierte die Musikerin selbst. Auf dem Album kreierte sie eine
dichotome Mischung aus verträumten Sounds, verzerrten Effekten, jeder Menge Hall und Noise, kombiniert
mit unbefangenen, intelligenten Lyrics. Geschichten über Träume, Ängste, Albträume und Dunkelheit - aber
auch Hoffnung: "Interpretations of darkness but with an empowering strength that conveys hope and almost
makes you feel safe in the dark underground", sagt Owman über ihre Texte. "When On Fire" klingt dunkel
und rau, aber auch sinnlich und luftig, hinterlässt eindrucksvolle Bilder im Kopf der Hörer, die, hypnotisiert von
Owmans Stimme, ihr in ihre eigene Welt folgen, in der Kontraste und Gegensätze, Träume und Realität
miteinander verschmelzen: "My music starts from the darkest underground, surfaces the ground into a
mesmerizing cloud of mist and continues reaching for the open sky. Empowering, sensual, dark, dreamy and

Powell recently announced his debut album 'Sport' via e-mail to fans. Billboards featuring the producer's email address appeared in London and New York and fans got in touch seeking details about his next record. Now he's made a proper announcement.
Emerging five years ago with little announce but an instantly strong aesthetic both musically and design-wise, Powell's sound immediately stood out in a world of producers making techno that sound took its cues from post-punk, turning the style on its head he made post-punk that had techno ideals.Sport' is an album that sounds like the perfect snapshot of his eclectic DJ sets and live gigs, Melon Magic NTS shows and the Diagonal imprint he co-runs with Jamie Williams (home to the releases from the likes of EVOL, Russell Haswell and Not Waving).On the subject of 'Sport': I called it that because I wanted it to be fun and playful, hence the games we've been having via these billboards,' Powell wrote in an email to one fan. People think of my music in certain terms I think, but I don't agree with them most of the time.
Also, like sport, I think of this record as being something for mind and body. I mean, you're shit at sport if you don't bring both things to it, so yeah, the music is physical and you can dance to it, but I also want to drag people's brains along for the ride too.
It's not a techno record, a dance album, a 'no-wave techno' thing, whatever the fuck that is. It's just the sound of what goes in my head.Vocals on 'Frankie (feat. Frankie)' are by Jonnine Standish. Jonnine is a musician and visual artist best known as one-half of the lauded minimal electronic duo HTRK.

Obwohl das Berliner, aus T.Raumschmiere (Marco Haas) und Schieres (Ulli Bomans) bestehende NoiseProjekt Shrubbn!! schon fast 20 Jahre auf dem Buckel hat, stellt "Europa" nach "Echos" von 2012 erst das zweite Album dar. Klar, Shrubbn!! ist für die beiden neben Soloaktivitäten, Labelarbeit und Kunstmachen ein
reines Neben-, um nicht zu sagen Liebhaberprojekt, das immer mal wieder auf Eis gelegt wird, um dann mit einem musikalischen Update reanimiert zu werden. Glich "Echos" einem echogetränkten, beängstigenden und haltlosen Fall durch Raum und Zeit, fühlt sich "Europa" geradezu warm, traumtänzerisch und beständig an. Jedes der 14 Stücke trägt den Titel einer europäischen Stadt wie "Hull" oder "Valladolid". Was die Städte
verbindet: sie haben einen klingenden Namen. Deshalb bekommen wir auch einige völlig unbekannte
Ortschaften zu hören, zum Beispiel "Elk", "Lom", "Eskilstuna", "Freistritz an der Gail" oder "Anenii Noi". Der Clou dabei: Haas und Bomans haben keinen persönlichen Bezug zu den Orten, sie ließen sich bei ihren Kompositionen allein durch den Klang inspirieren. Was bestens funktioniert hat, die Resultate überzeugen auf ganzer Linie. Und es spricht für die Qualität des Albums, dass man dabei keinen der Titel kennen muss. Wer
denkt bei "Nea Koroni" schon an Alpentäler und Kuhglocken

DEXT Recordings is a brand new label kicking off with an EP from dubspeeka complete with remixes from Apple Pips boss Appleblim and Aus artist Komon and it's a bit of a Bristol affair.

dubspeeka, the elusive Bristol based producer who has released on Oliver Huntemann's Ideal Audio, Waveform and has remixed for Evolution, is sure to become big news in 2014, especially once the world gets to hear this new EP.

Opening track 'Leaving Home' is a dark and broody affair with thick basslines, eerie pitch shifted voices lurking in shadows and plenty of spangled synths wrapping around it from start to finish. 'Special Occasion' is then a fulsome, swaggering house track. The drums are bulky, the percussion is crisp and the chords rattle with plenty of menace.

Next up, 'Creature Funk' again fuses elements of house and bass into a skipping track that sways to and fro as siren like tones survey the bleak horizon. It's arresting, strangely funky stuff that sound like little else.

Komon & Appleblim have teamed up many times before now, for both remixes and originals, and here the pair refix 'Creature Funk' into a nimble, supple bit of grainy but bulky techno that skips and scrapes with a real late night and underground swagger.
Komon then remixes 'Leaving Home' on his own and turns it into a reflective and pensive bit of house with nicely shaped synths off in the distance as infectious percussive slices churn out a pattern in the foreground.

dubspeeka's production is fresh and filled with plenty of personality and all three tracks here are likely to become seriously highly rated weapons for DJs in the know in the coming months.

ustice are a French electronic music duo consisting of Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay. The band's debut album † was released in June 2007 to critical acclaim. The album was later nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Electronic/Dance Album and came in at number 15 on Pitchfork's Top 50 Albums of 2007 and number 18 on Blender's "25 Best Albums of 2007" list.The band's remix of the MGMT song "Electric Feel" won the Grammy Award for Best Remixed Recording in 2009.
The band released its second album "Audio, Video, Disco" in 2011.

Nach Stationen in verschiedenen Rockbands startete der Mannheimer Musiker Michael Bundt Ende der Siebziger seine Solokarriere. Er veröffentlichte drei Alben, zuletzt 1980 "Electri City", auf denen er die Möglichkeiten elektronischer Musik auslotete. "Electri City" entstand praktisch als Vorbote desome-Recording-Trends in Bundts eigenen Studio mit einem PPG-Synthesizer und Vierspur-Tonbandgerät. Das Album ist bestimmt von gelassen durchlaufenden Step-Sequenzer-Miniaturen, elektrisierenden Synth-FX-Eskapaden und Schnipseln verfremdeter Field-Recordings. All das komplettiert sich zu einem komplexen, ausdrucksstarken musikalischem Gebilde, das direkt einem "Captain Future"-Clip entsprungen sein könnte, und das den

The Micronaut creates the soundtrack for those moments when the screeching of the subway and the steps on the wet pavement have echoed away into the dark city sky. Those moments when the ghosts of fumes and stop lights haunt the empty streets, when behind glowing windows dreams and urban exit strategies get ready for bed. When everybody is close to each other, but everyone is on his own. When the city comes to a standstill, but the wheels inside the heads of its inhabitants keep spinning. Stefan Streck discovers the musical equivalent for this epic atmosphere somewhere between Bass Music, Electronica and Pop. The cinematic soundscapes of his nocturnal City Blues have a somewhat tragic vibe, which is very noticeable both during the impulsive, passionate live shows of The Micronaut and on 'Forms', his third studio album on Acker Records, distributed through Kompakt. New sounds from an old friend... I'd been running Franklin De Costa's records for years, but after I played for his party in Berlin a few years back we kept in touch. He runs a club night called Mother's Finest which puts on artists like Tessela, Truss, Untold, DJ Fett Burger and more, as well as releasing singles under his own name on labels like Killekill and Curle, and, as Mudkid, beautiful tracks on Greta Cottage Workshop. The three trax built for this EP on Not So Much are, like anything fresh and futuristic, hard to pin down in words. SSSooo is a kind of detuned chattering b-boy cut that slides sideways between dimensions while always driving forward. MLDK is another one for any dancers with moves. It's tension-heavy, dubby basement shit with an almost spoken/sung synth line providing the dread and at the same time, a sense of class. Both MDLK and SSSooo have a playful side too, a knowing kind of sultriness, if that makes sense -
but the rhythms are tight and efficient. Purple Train on the other hand is loose as anything, and ramps up the narcotic sexiness in a groove for afterhours sessions. I don't want to describe it as sex, drugs and rollers, but this is kind of writing itself. With this one, the dub is wise, the time is forgotten and the wrongness is righteous. FDC is the second outside artist (after Samuel/Ploy) to release on the label, and I'm really happy that the family is finally growing - all the waiting and all the declined demos have paid off. There are more releases from more artists in the pipeline, some you'll have heard of, and some fresh blood too.

2013 war das 100-jährige Jubiläum des sinistren Superschurken Fantômas, der sich in immer wieder neuen
Masken unters Volk mischt und der Polizei stets entkommt. Fantômas hat seinen Ursprung in einer von Paul
Souvestre und Marcel Allain inszenierten Groschenroman-Reihe der vorletzten Jahrhundertwende. Deren
Erfolg war so groß, dass eine Verfilmung und vier Fortsetzungen auf die Leinwand kamen. Die fünfteilige
Fantômas-Filmreihe von Louis Feuillade mit René Navarre in der Titelrolle gehörte zu den größten
Filmerfolgen ihrer Zeit! Die Stummfilme wurden vom französischen Filmproduktionsunternehmen Gaumont
digital restauriert und feierten am 31. Oktober 2013 ihr angemessenes Comeback in Form einer langen
Fantômas-Nacht im Pariser Théâtre du Châtelet. Jeder Film wurde live mit einem eigens komponierten Score
begleitet, und zwar von Yann Tiersen, dem britischen Gitarristen James Blackshaw, der isländischen Formation Amiina, dem kanadischen Ambientkünstler Tim Hecker und der schwedischen Band Loney Dear. Das Berliner Label Morr bringt in Kooperation mit dem sländischen Imprint Mengi den Amiina-Soundtrack als CD und Gatefold-Doppel-LP auf den Markt. Deren melancholisch, ätherisch und verdichtet klingende Fantômas-Interpretation ist mit stampfenden Rhythmen und jagenden Melodien versehen. Dabei kommen neben diversen elektronischen Klangerzeugern, Violine, Cello und Schlagzeug auch eher exotische Instrumente wie ein Metallophon, eine Ukulele und eine Tischharfe zum Einsatz.

On two 12"s and over the course of a staggering 78 minutes, big things are happening on "Jams", Urban Homes' monumental sophomore album. The highly ambititous attempt at a certain history of dance music, a sweaty night on the dancefloor, an excursion into the fog...But one thing at a time: The 13 Jams go back to recordings of years of communal, midi- and hardware-based jam sessions which, over three years, were painstakingly discarded, refined, condensed, reconstructed and provided with occasional guest vocals by Hanitra Wagner (Oracles, Die Heiterkeit). The album was mixed by Jan Philipp Janzen (Von Spar) at Dumbo Studios, mastered by Cem Oral at Jammin' Masters. Sonja Deffner (Die Heiterkeit, Jason & Theodor) is responsible for the stunning gatefold artwork.On "Jams", Benjamin Riedl, Stephan Weinand and Oliver Bersin explore a history of dance music that is retraced in the 13 tracks: The seemingly clear cut references in titles such as "Verdub Lang Her (Stripped Down Killer Dub Jam)", "Blue Note Jam" or "As High Acid Can Get (:-)Jam)", however, are not to be taken as letters of intent, but—despite the playful handling of genre conventions and clichés—as hommages to the immaterial architecture of the club: the atmosphere, the vibe, the jam. In its rich texture, the dramatic composition of "Jams" reconstructs the resonance space of an excessive, foggy, and steamy night at the club, thereby approaching its point of interest. Despite the clear club compatibility (each of the 13 tracks will work on a dancefloor worth its salt), Urban Homes do not shy away from sticky harmonic arrangements and melodies that are bound to be called "pop". They do however, and this is one of the points of this great album, avoid any overarching narrative of organicity or authenticity which might refer the record to a context of "indie" music. Unlike the acclaimed and award-winning debut "Centres", which wore the socialization of the (previously four) Urban Homes on its sleeve, this is rootless, nomadic music that is in the most beautiful sense out there. So far out there, in fact, that we seem to make out figures such as Pharaoh Sanders or Sun Ra through the ever-present (see titles such as "4/20 Jam" or "Summer Rolls (Midnight Munchies Jam)" for reference) fog.What seems so effortless, casual and relaxed over the entire run time, finally, is in fact merely evidence of the band's musical mastery and precision: The staging of gaps, the fraying, dripping track ends and its general weirdness is part of the modeling of the history of a music that formed without a "quantise" command.

The Korvids are a catholic Glasgow Collective, spearheaded by singer-songwriter James Grant and Gordy Goudie. They marry a love of disco with the influence of Deodato, Axelrod, CSNY, Miles and anything else that takes their fancy. The debut single from The Korvids "Beach Coma" was released in 2015 and its summertime groove is a well known track on the US Sirius FM networks.The furrow of their combined influences and experiences runs deep, James was the front man for Love and Money, everyone's favourite band from the 1980s who should have been massive, but somehow weren't. James has also had a distinguished career as a singer-songwriter internationally. Recently performing two sold out shows in Glasgow with a full orchestra. Gordy has produced music for numerous projects and bands, including Simple Minds and has played bass and guitar for The Primevals and Echo And The Bunnymen among many others.Bad Faith" is their 3rd single released and sees James re-unite with former Steely Dan producer Gary Katz for the first time since 1986 (he produced the 1986 Love and Money album "Strange Kind Of Love"). The track itself features James in full falsetto vocal mode. It is underpinned by soul-dance grooves, punchy horns, phrenic percussion FX and on-point Rhodes keys.
For the remixes Gary Katz rolls (or reels even) back the years to the 1970s and hones in on a FM friendly US soul rock sound, but with funk and jazz undertones. Other remixes come from Russian based Kim and Buran, their "Sundowner" remix rides the nu-disco, sunset vibe to maximum effect, while their "1974 Soul Train" remix strips back the groove and attitude and hits the jazz lounge. Push to Break complete the remixes with their pulsing electronic "E mix".Also featured on the EP is another track "Blisters" which is all about big stabby bass synths, big drums, and layers of picked & waiting guitars. The work of Enrico Gabrielli (Calibro 35, PJ Harvey, The Winstons, etc.) and that of Junkfood have crossed paths several times in the past in a variety of contexts and collaborations. But never have the two entities, so to speak, been under the same roof. This occasion is thanks to the Festival Hallo Bigallo 2014 dedicated to the figure of Piero Umiliani, where they were both invited to perform and do some readings from the repertoire of the Maestro. After the pleasant experience Junkfood and Gabrielli agreed to meet at the Vacuum Studio of Bruno Germano (Iosonouncane) in Bologna. And thus begun the "Italian Masters", an album dedicated to some of the greatest Italian composers of film scores. The result exceeds expectations, where the beautiful music of Umiliani, Morricone and Trovajoli are distorted and filtered by the sensitivity of the five, while maintaining their unmistakable identity.

What is most striking about this album is the incredible consistency despite the different authorship of the compositions and the very wide range of situations and solutions that musicians find themselves in, which results in a sound that is greater than the sum of both the proprietary songwriters and the individual performers. The quintet succeeds in the difficult task of standing tall against comparison with models and simultaneously develop their own poetic and independent sound, that make Italian Masters a real gem that is as much for the fanatics of film music as the newbies called to those shores by the sirens of Gabrielli and Junkfood.

Zwischenfall formed in Belgium with Michael Sass (synths), Martin Urban (bass/vocals) and Stephan Kraemer (guitar/drums) in 1982. They were united by musical sensibilities that combined electronic and traditional instruments developing the basis for their 1982 demo recordings. By chance Patrick Codenys of the Belgian electro pioneers Front 242< heard two songs and decided to record a 4-song EP for the electro band's newly formed label Mask. The Heute' EP was released in 1983 after a week of recording in Front's private studio under the direction of sound-whiz Daniel B. Bearing in mind MIDI had not been invented at the time, the recording involved some extensive sound sculpting including the use of individual synths (PPG Wave, Syrinx, Roland System 100, etc.) for separate drum sounds. To create an organic feel to the combination of acoustic and electric guitar, a trumpet and a bass were incorporated into the electronic arrangements. Sonically way ahead of their time, Zwischenfall have a distinct sound with hard rhythms and melancholic melodies that blend minimal yet catchy electronics to create a very danceable production.

Italian-born and classically trained, Francesca carved her own path in electronic music, criss-crossing the globe as a DJ and live performer, whilst building up a formidable back-catalogue of music.

The sixth release in this series of eight opens up with Alexander Kowalski's remix of "Lydia To The Edge Of Panic" on the A-side. Kowalski's version is a pounding techno monster, with a heaving baseline and delayed chords, hinting at a more sinister dimension beyond the edge of panic. Trolly Route's (aka. Oscar Mulero) remix of "Miscellaneous Pt. 7" on A-2, lulls and hypnotizes with an acid-tinged interpretation of the original track, that nods to the plus 8 school of techno.
The B-side kicks off with Jeff Rushin's remix of "Little Green Apples", pairing the spacious and beautifully gloomy background atmosphere of the original track with a heavier version of its rhythmic framework. The final track gives us the re-mastered original version of "Confort Corpse", which displays Christian Morgenstern's uncanny dedication to exploration and his love for the 80s.

Almost exactly a year ago Radio Citizen's third longplayer, 'The Night & The City (SK310CD / LP) was released on Sonar Kollektiv. The first birthday of the highly acclaimed concept album by the collective lead by mastermind Niko Schabel is celebrated with three gifts in the form of remixes and new interpretations.
Even two different treatments are present for 'Last Delight' with Natalie Greffel's comforting voice: One by Schabel himself, arranging the track slightly more hypnotical and dangerously voodooesque. The second remix comes via Moscow based Dima Studitsky. He cuts the song even radically further down to the bone floating between Industrial and Dark Wave inspired techno in a fog of a neverending night.
Together with Niko Schabel, Sound Voyage aka Tom Wieland reconstructed - Near And Far' from scratch and created a bombshell for the somehow a bit sweatier dancefloors.

"When We Were Astronauts" is Twardowski's third solo outing on U Know Me Records and his first full-length LP. The album started as an exercise in creating an alternative soundtrack to a certain sci-fi movie - sketches for the tracks were laid out as illustration to particular scenes and sequences from the movie. Eventually, as the sketches started to form an album, the concept evolved into an impression about childhood dreams, manifested by the yearning to become an astronaut. All this is heavily filtered by the artist's 80's nostalgia and unconditional love for sci-fi movies, especially the kitschy ones.

Sonically, the album builds on Twardowski's formula for the previous two EPs: take some samples, add a truckload of synths and mold until a modern take on boogie forms. Touches of broken beat and cheesy 80s arpeggios are added to complete the sci-fi theme of the album.

Both sides of the LP feature vocal tracks: Borys Dejnarowicz appears on side A with a sort of a theme song for the album and side B features Misia Furtak in a lullaby for spacemen. The limited edition vinyl (300 copies) features a beautiful gatefold cover, designed by famous Polish designer Edgar Bak.

For the flipside, the in-house WNCL remix department selects a few choice clippings from the original to present a jam tailored for the trackheads with their feet on the dancefloor.

This is the lost album from Alpha 606 entitled Afro-Cuban Electronics', hot on the heels of the Alpha 606 RMXD ep, which featured outstanding remixes from Anthony Shake' Shakir, BMG, and Erika. The vinyl edition includes the vinyl exclusive "Shake (Live at Samhain, Detroit)".
Alpha 606 is Hialeah born, Miami dwelling Armando Martinez, who offers an intoxicating concoction in the form of his unique take on this music. This album is a love letter to Cuba and his family and their struggles, from the vivid anthem Defection' which claims Defection was our only choice, it all happened when you first oppressed our voice', to the reflective beauty of Boatlift'. From powerful to subtle and gentle, the rhythms and visions of Cuba invoked through the incredible hand drumming are all alive within this music. The vinyl edition includes a live version of Shake' from an Interdimensional Transmissions party in Detroit thrown every Halloween called Samhain. The digital version includes the bonus cut No Me Quieras Tanto (Cafta Version)', a tribute to a Perez Prado song from 1947, the artist known as the King of the Mambo.

Following a debut EP on Golf Channel in 2015, Autarkic aka Nadav Spiegel has risen in status alongside his close friends and collaborators Red Axes and Moscoman. His recent debut LP for Mosco's red-hot Disco Halal has garnered critical acclaim, including a 4/5 review on Resident Advisor. Spiegel clearly has a rare talent as a songwriter, crafting the kind of intelligent, left-field pop music that one usually has to look back to the avant-garde of the 1980s to find. It's an influence Autarkic not only wears well - he seems legitimately to be of another place and time. The sound is never pastiche, even as it recalls the character and mood of familiar classics, perhaps because it's filtered, inevitably, through the fractured prism of middle eastern culture. If things were more downtempo, experimental and psych rock on his first EPs, these tracks for Turbo point squarely at the dance-floor, and have been staples in the sets of not only Moscoman and Red Axes, but in the other rising stars of the underground Israeli scene around labels like Malka Tuti and Fortuna records, as well as the global groove empire developing around Turbo A&R Thomas Von Party's Multi Culti. It's a stunning record, with substance, character, and style. The arrangements are especially strong, each song building in a way that feels exceedingly rare in dance music, in every case the second half elements come together in just the right way to surprise you, even make you fall in love. The somber vocals and unadorned production are just rough enough to make the unexpectedly beautiful twists and emotive flourishes call your attention and keep you hooked. For those that still need convincing, there's also a slamming Red Axes remix, as if those guys need any introduction. An unexpected and welcome return for Tiga's venerable label.

TOM And His Computer is the newest alias for Copenhagen favourite Thomas Bertelsen. He started out as a teenager by looping and creating beats on his 4 track tape-recorder. Since then the very talented producer and DJ has been around the block. He produced two albums (with Lulu Rouge) and a number of songs, edits and remixes. He has also been DJing alongside Trentemøller every now and then since the early days and most recently TOM And His Computer performed live on the opening slot of Trentemøller's latest live tour and lately at Sonar Copenhagen 2015. Now we are happy and proud to present 'Small Disasters', TOM And His Computer's debut EP on Anders Trentemøller's label In My Room! Mixing elements as disparate as electronica, lo-fi guitars, driving beats, vocals and cinematic soundscape, this EP is a perfect example of why TOM And His Computer is tipped for big things in 2016. What maybe can be described as 'alternative electronic music' unfolds in different nuances. The lead track 'Organ' rides along on a crunchy rhythm track while throwing in psychedelic organs and howling electronics. Fizzing guitars weave in and project a paranoid undertone. Next up is 'Girl A Go Go' and its raw driving beat and bass hits in without any warning, before an agressive, hypnotising surf like guitar-riff comes in. Layers and layers of dirty distortion build a colapsing, overdriving climax. 'Tectonic' keeps the dark energy flowing, but packs it into a slow crawling creepy setting, drenched in reverb and noisy layers. Fraser McGuinness contributes the otherwordly vocals. Is he moaning Or conjuring Or proclaiming The song evolves from a fragile, fleeting feel into a massive, 'tectonic' pressure and all the way back. 'La Fountaine' completes the EP with another cut that perfectly fuses diverse elements from across the musical spectrum

Fascination Set of REMIXES of Trentemøller's recent album opus Lost that already served as the logical continuation of his varied work and delivered his signature sound intact, yet it really didn't sound like anything he'd ever produced before. Streamlined, song-structured and guitar-driven, Lost boasted a dozen tracks, each offering something of interest for anyone who has ever been a fan of the Copenhagen producer. Now the new 'Lost Reworks' release gleefully rips up the rule book again, as Trentemøller is joined by some carefully-chosen conspirators - Toydrum (aka James Lavelle and Pablo Clements of UNKLE), Jenny Wilson, T.O.M. And His Computer, Unkwon and Trentemøller - in dismantling the intricate musical tapestry of the album, recontextualising the instrumental experimentation, the trashed analog consoles, and the entire sweep of influences, from krautrock to classical. The original version of 'River Of Life' abandons its throbbing guitars and soaring strings for dark and retro electroclash tones on Trentemøller's own remix, and introspective, electro-gaze in the hands of T.O.M. And His Computer. 'Come Undone' stalked at a slow and measured pace, and Trentemøller's steamy new version recalls vintage Goldfrapp in marrying sultry vocals and seductive machine music, while Toydrum beefs up the raw, spiky electro rock elements. The melancholic pop beauty of 'Candy Tongue' is remade with ghostly atmospherics and evocative, exotic instrumentation via Jenny Wilson's version, and while one remix of 'Deceive' made its debut in a stunning EP package from earlier this year - Unkwon's misty, dusty broken beat version - it is counterbalanced by Trentemøller's own glitchy, cinematic 'Lost & Found' Remix.

Avesom (name inspired by the dog of Justin Bennett, the sound technician that mixed the album) are creations produced during long reharsals sessions that have taken place mostly during sunsets and late nights. There Torakiki inmersed themselves in a trip where the music achievable with their own finger was tested, rejecting in advance any programming.
The overall sound of the album follow the path of the previous EP, halfway between the new wave and ambient . The band aims references from Aphex Twin, Liars, Jamie XX and on the other side, classical sounds from the Italian song. In the album participate the voice of Ilaria Ippolito (# #Pap ) and of G ulia Olivari (O .A.U .). The video of Luxard was shot by Giovanni Aloi in a park in Hong Kong.
Torakiki filled the pieces of A vesom with a strong dynamic identity, combining the creative impulses of the three minds and their respective backgrounds. offensichtlichen Hits blenden zu lassen, als vielmehr die Stücke auszuwählen, die spürbar den dunklen
Maschinenfunk atmen. Das macht "Metal Dance" zu einer so tanzbaren wie spannenden Angelegenheit.
