House Vinyl New Releases - News

The slick, modern vocal house of 'I Want You' is the first single taken from Huxley's debut LP 'Blurred' on Aus/!K7 and it drops, along with remixes from Youandewan and Huxley himself, on October 6th. 'Let it Go', 'Bellywedge' and 'Box Clever' cemented Huxley's singles reputation some time ago and its been furthered this year with the tonally and stylistically varied 'The Machine' EP released just a few months back on Aus. As the hype around the 'Blurred' LP builds, 'I Want You' is the perfect lead in. Although not without some trademark grunt in the bass department it's one of Huxley's deepest cuts to date, with layered melodies, rounded percussion and an incredible vocal combining beautifully. Huxley's powerful 'club rub' shifts the focus to the dance floor a little more but not at the expense of the original's musical or vocal content - with just a nip and tuck here and there he's created a weighty, yet respectful, club version. Fellow Aus artist and notable talent, Youandewan, takes things deeper with his remix - a blissed out exercise in smooth musical transitions and subtle dubbing techniques that form an engagingly delicate deep house cut. To close the release Huxley turns in 'Sphere'. Vintage Huxley, 'Sphere' is characterised by a strident rhythm track and piano licks but the devil is in the detail - re-pitched delay feedback, almost-there filtered vocals and crafty drum fills.

Having kicked off 2012 with stunning ep's from tINI and himself, Dissonant boss Marc Antona
looks to the labels Italian arm as Leo & Omar, aka. Re-UP, step up with their latest double-
header. Its been a busy start to the year for the pair with releases and remixes for Little Helpers,
Safari and their own Kina Music imprint. February also saw them work their magic on the
remix of tINI's "Shmooh's Raisin Theory" for Dissonant. Re-UP's music with its housey touch
and hypnotic rhythms is a perfect fit for the label. Their ability to create a smart and energetic
vibe together with tightly locked and driving grooves is comparable to that of Antona himself.

Nicolas Duvoisin & Friends is a new project that aims on bringing together individual pieces produced in collaboration
with artists of different sounds that are currently part of or not part of the label. This new project will be available on a
series of extended vinyls.
In this first piece 'Drunk Talk' Nicolas Duvoisin contacted fellow artist, Dachsund, who has already been working with the
Fantastic Friends label for several years, to work on this piece with him. The idea behind this piece was to create a base
more garage with a voice which merges beautifully within the deep beets throughout the track. Before you know it, your
toes will be moving to the bass of the sound.
In regards to the track, 'i really need a Chair' Nicolas Duvoisin and Jules & Moss decided to create a hypnotic base with
a simple but also quick pace which appears as quickly as it disappears. This track has parts created by a synthesiser
which gives it soul - perfect for a sunrise.

With NM007-002B, Neustadtmusik presents the second release of their NM
Blue Series. With its creative playful sounds, it is just as convincing
as the previous release: 001B! Nader, the Zürich veteran of the Swiss
underground scene, presents two finely crafted versions of his new track
"By Day". We are also particularly pleased about the amazing remix by
none other than Mihai Popoviciu (Highgrade Records) and the equally
brilliant remix from our own NM duo "Ducks on Repeat", rounding off this
release perfectly!

After some sort of slumber, Shabu Recordings is proud to present its new series: SHARMX. SHARMX is pretty self-explanatory: these EPs will be a retrospective that breathes new life into tracks from previous releases. These born-again tracks are then presented under a new form that is dictated by another party, not previously involved in any creative process of the affiliated release. The word Shabu being Japanese for Splash, this leads us to our first installment in the series: Splash Splash Vol..

After the unanimous global acclaim of 'Glass Eights,' John Roberts returns with 'Fences,' his second full length offering on Hamburg's Dial Records. From elegantly dusted chamber pop and semi-psychedelic acoustic musings to turgid orchestral dance floor fillers, Roberts creates a beautifully collaged symphony of recorded violins, cellos, cracked guitars, detuned pianos, faded samples, broken drum machines and manipulated answering machine cassettes.

"Between Stars" is the debut album from Barcelona based Venezuelan producer and DJ Maurice Aymard. More than two years in the making, 'Between Stars' has been a labour of love for Aymard as he travelled the globe to collaborate with musicians and singers in Barcelona, Berlin, London and Venezuela who could help to bring his vision to life. Released on Aymard's own Galaktika Records (Garnica, James Teej & more), 'Between Stars' was recorded entirely live and features contributions from the likes of Brazilian star Gui Boratto, Columbian singers Andrea and Paulo Olarte, Argentian guitarist Mariano Godoy and many more, the resulting album takes the house music template and expands it to a grandiose level. In an age when anything that isn't packed full of buzzsaw bass and 'sick' drops gets labelled as Deep House, "Between Stars" is the real deal, and from the first bars of the albums opening (and title) track, 'Between Stars' quickly establishes itself as something truly special, a 'house' album that not only works as a coherent whole but sounds as good at home, by the poolside or in a club at 4am. If 'live' house albums have in the past had a tendency to verge on the polite, Aymard's skill as a producer and experience as a DJ keeps things rooted in club culture and nearly every track off 'Between Stars' deserves to find its way into DJ sets over the coming months. Rather than smooth things out the live instrumentation instead adds an energy to the tracks and the subtle touches, that the likes of guitarist David Rondon brings to 'El Final', lift the album up to another level altogether. Since moving from Venezuela to Spain and launching Galaktika Records, Aymard has become an integral part of the European house music scene. With releases on the likes of Berlin's Moodmusic, Hamburg's Einmusika and Denmark's Tic Tac Toe Records, and remix credits for artists such as Mario Basanov, Compuphonic and Combo, Aymard has built a reputation for delivering quality underground house music and with his debut album Aymard looks set to secure his position as one of the scene's most innovative artists.

ROCCA's Haus EP is Luca Roccatagliati's first release with Save The Black Beauty. All started with his track Raw Cooked in virtual space. It catched us and kept us. A remix for our last release Starrr Vs Mamasweed - Jam Jam Jam (Allnight Long) followed. Soon it was clear we will continue.

The glorious creative love affair between Londoner jozif and LA based Culprit continues unabated, with the artist's fourth release for the imprint in as many years.

Six months after the first 'Waikiki'EP by jozif,Culprit releases its followup. The five originals that formed the core of the twopart 'Waikiki'were the fruits of the intensely prolific period of musicmaking by jozif. The two originals on 'Waikiki 2'highlight jozif's inimitable sound: organic in essence, steeped in references that reach beyond the classic house/techno cliche´s, loose and fun, yet with the emotional core and depth of feeling worn proudly on its proverbial sleeve.

Remixes arrive courtesy of two exceptional producers of very different styles but equally strong personal voices: Eric Volta's idiosyncratic take dives deep into the realm of melodically eerie, perfectly calibrated for the discerning afterhours. Hanfry Martinez is the rising Spanish talent whose love for the ceaseless groove unites him with fellow house groove masters like Apollonia,Djebali and Javier Carballo.

Finally, a new, true Doering, whose other name Dirty is something of a fake-out: "I Would" captivates the listener with clean, maximum minimal beauty, in typical Doering style. The melodies swing gentle as a cradle, the beats take effect in a supporting role and the vocals, though sparsely deployed, complete the demand for inner harmony. The elements combine to create a languorous, warm feeling around the heart, a flawless hit.

After Egal 3 made sweet EP The Shades' for SOV001, he is coming back to us again with even stronger tracks for our 6th releases, we are very happy to have him back in our Vast family.

A1 Altfelnu' is starting with strong beat and deep/dubby bass line, then what makes different is kicking piano melody in the middle at unexpected moment, the combination between deep bass and piano is just perfect.

B1 Sidebyside' is the track made by just analogue gears, Egal 3 emphasized, you can feel the deep and tight groove made by analogue drum machine and modular synth, this full analogue groove is for sure working on the floor, touch people's ears and heart.

As we are going for the direction under the name of emotional houses', those Egal 3's new tracks are on the right product for us to keep Vast's color while keeping his identity. Indeed, this EP going to be weapon for both of you who the house head' and the minimal head'.

After releases on Do Easy, BCB Techno, Suchtreflex and boug.records, and "I'm Tellin U" been compiled on" Sven Väth Cocoon's "Sound of the 10th Season", this is the next in line on Paso Music. Comes with rmxs from Tolga Fidan & Marc Miroir.

We say welcome to our TLK Family Mr. Bunched. Strings of Pearls is a Tech-House Monster with massive remixes by Shemian & Herznote, Felix Jaehn and Arts & Leni.

AKA AKA & Thalstroem are back with their second album titled Connected", which is going to be released through their own label Burlesque Musique. After their latest track Take My Time", a collaboration with the Erfurt-based band Northern Lite, the trio presents their first album single Never Alone' that offers a promising insight into the follow-up LP to their successful debut Varieté".Right away, Never Alone' is proving that AKA AKA & Thalstroem never lost their sense for both memorable as well as narrative vibes. While their house beats opens a cosmic and playful groove, thedistinctive vocals by Sola Plexus are spreading the right portion of pop appeal - including a hopeful message against life's solitude. It's not surprising that their second album will feature many guests artists and friends such as Northern Lite, Sola Plexus, Jim Hickey and umami. AKA AKA & Thalstroem always has been an harmonious trio - whether on stage or in the studio: only mutually and with each other connected", they're creating its typical teamwork feeling that carries their listeners at home as well as their audience during their live gigs.

Moon Harbour chief Matthias Tanzmann is ready to release his next EP, entitled Reframed, and
it is his first since October 2013's Tilt. Featuring three new cuts plus a remix from Rampa and
Re.You aka RAR, it comes just ahead of what is sure to be another busy season in Ibiza for the
famed Circo Loco resident.

Despite his never-ending DJ commitments, Tanzmann continues to work whenever he can with
Davide Squillace and Martin Buttrich as Better Lost Than Stupid both in the studio and live
arena. His own solo work, though, remains as essential as ever as this EP proves.

The EP kicks off with the title track, 'Reframed,' a slow burning and seductive number with a
swollen, rolling bassline and a smattering of drunken synth sounds that fall about in the mix to
groovy effect. The percussion, as ever, is slinky and stripped back, offering just enough for
dancers to hook on to for the whole seven minute track. It's this one that gets remixes by RAR -
the duo of Rampa and Re.You that release on labels like Cocoon - into a slightly darker and
more off kilter affair with groaning bass, dystopian urban landscapes and creepy synth sounds
all coming together to make for an unsettling and unsettled listen.

Next up, Matthias Tanzmann's 'Get Up' finds him in a boisterous mood with up right kicks,
clipped vocal yelps for some extra energy and a truly groaning, gravelly bassline. It's a booty
shaking number that bubbles and boils nicely without ever fully exploding. Finally, 'Soul Mate'
again has a heavy dub undercurrent propping up shadowy drums and a nicely liquid, gentle acid
line.

It's not hard to image the reactions these tracks will draw on dancefloors everywhere this
summer, once again proving Matthias Tanzmann is a true groove scientist.

This record is named after Vedanta, an ancient philosophy based on the Vedas, the sacred scriptures of India. The music, originally composed and produced by Joseph S Joyce and later remixed by Sebastian Mullaert of Minilogue, was greatly inspired, after reading commentaries from Swami Rama Tirtha's biography "The Scientist & Mahatma" - Chapter 1 - Vedanta and The Secret of Success. In the book he states: "Vedanta requires you to work for its own sake. In order that your work should be successful, you should not mind the end or care for the consequences or the result. Let the means and the end be brought together, let the very work be your end" Release includes an exclusive Sebastian Mullaert Wa Wu We remix download code for those who purchase the vinyl.

Butch is rightly regarded as one of the most prolific producers in electronic music, having graced countless revered labels including Sei es Drum, Cocoon, Rekids and Visionquest. On FTS he makes his long overdue debut on Desolat with four deep and distinctive tracks. Opening track 'Pompino' kicks off the EP with a distorted rhythm and contorted vocals which build and build into a twisted and trippy groove. 'Dimensions' follows in a similar vein, developing slowly and building tension until the tracks drops back in a distorted fashion with distinctive bells and unnerving harmonies. B-side 'Desert Storm' captivates the listener from the off, with a hypnotic rhythm until the track lives up to its exotic name and sees a wailing vocal comes in and cut through the beat. 'Sonny Got It Going On' rounds off the EP in fine style. Proceeding at a slower BPM, it features crisp drums and a dusty gangster-movie sample, culminating in a distinctive and classy slice of electronic music. On 'FTS' Butch lives up to his billing as one of the finest producers around, delivering a four-track twisted and hedonistic journey through expertly crafted underground sounds.

No need to present Fumiya Tanaka. By far Japan's most talented and knowledgeable electronic musician and DJ. He founded Torema records, the first independent dance track labels in Japan in 1993. Since then he's been constantly rocking the floors around the world. Fumiya made us love electronic music. We're thrilled to welcome a true pioneer. Don't miss this record.
