Aaron Ahrends lebt und studiert zwischen Den Haag und Berlin. Er macht schon seit einigen Jahren wunderschöne Musik, singt hin und wieder auch dazu und stellt diese auf Soundcloud. So kam der Kontakt zustand und führte nun zum ersten Release - Brief Embrace'. Musikalisch bewegt sich Ahrends im Bereich deeper Indie-Electronica mit Hang zu Euphorie-Explosionen. - Little Space' haben wir in den letzten Monaten immer wieder zum Ende des DJ-Sets eingestreut. Der Song sorgte für permanente Nachfrage beim Publikum sowie DJ-Kollegen. Gunjah und Stachy (Moensterbox / Katermukke / Stil vor Talent) fanden das Original so unwerfend, dass sie es mit ihrem Remix zum Clubsmasher verwandelten. Abschliessend gibt es von den Kölner Jungs Coma (Kompakt / Correspontant / Firm) einen Indie/Dancefloor Schieber der sich gewaschen hat.

Montreal-based composer Drew Gragg conjures those rapt moments of music that burst from solitude. Here's an artist who understands boredom, its sublime ambience, and how an idea builds to wake you from it. 'Adsr Toms' takes three things, a piano, a fuzzy pitched drum and an infectious rim-shot that shape and reshape before dropping casually into the proximity of a gentle four-four. Grooves build to elegant cairns, sounding of stones as they beat in a cold undertow. Sometimes things seem formless. On 'Ostinate', a piano and pillowy tape hiss play alone before a single bounding kick threads their sounds together. Gragg studied jazz guitar and classical composition before beginning to explore electroacoustic production. His experience manifests in an elegant intention of melody that drives and switches directions thoughtfully throughout. While one might say 'techno,' or 'downtempo,' 'Over-Under' defies obvious labels with a clear-eyed fascination in the bare mechanics of sound. Results are spare and meticulous, musical sparks of mathematical intricacy, without a bit of lost humanity.

The second release from young and exciting Hoxton Records label from East London features Kiril - the Ukranian legend who has started making waves outside home country. The collaboration between Rush Arp & Maurice Giovannini is another beautiful track with organic sounds that can stir emotions. Triptil is a rising Romanian star that has already developed his own sound, which can be melancholic at times but never fails to move the dancefloor. Radu Mirica is another talented producer from Bucharest, Romania that is determined to make the future in the music industry and judging by this track, he may be well underway.

Although Berlin based producer, DJ and live act Re.You has never had a full release on Moon Harbour
before now, he appeared on the Shades of White EP alongside Philip Bader back in 2013. Now
though, this three track solo outing confirms him as a perfect fit for the label.

In the past four years, German born Marius Maier has won himself a lot of fans and admirers thanks to
his releases on labels like Mobilee, Souvenir and Saved Records, so his credentials are well assured.

Title track 'Don't Stop' is a loose and playful thing that chucks loopy, circular drums, little vocal riffs,
synth stabs and tumbling toms into the mix and lets them all groove along for almost six infectious
minutes. It's a spritely, silvery and slithering concoction that makes you shake your every limb.

'Stare' is a deeper, darker thing with rattling snares rolling over flappy kick drums and wobbling synths
ducking in and out of the space left behind. It's a tumultuous, drum lead affair that toys with your
expectation, threatening to drop or explode but never quite doing so, instead keeping you right on the
edge of your seat throughout.

The final offering is 'Nian' which again has super well defined drums and hits all tumbling and sparking
off each other. It's spacious stuff, too, and the indecipherable foreign language vocals add another
layer of intrigue to what is already a fascinating cut.

If you've ever heard drums as pristine and metallic, as shiny and glistening as these made by Re.You,
then do let us know... they are things of wonder that demand you dance in their presence.

JÜRGEN PAAPE lifts the veil on his latest sonic musings with the smart futurism from MANIPURI, followed by MICHAEL MAYER's pop concrete jewel HUMMM (vinyl only) and SUPERPITCHER's delirious flute stomper FREIHERR. Meanwhile, rising Dutch duo WEVAL gets a propelling, TOTAL-exclusive remix treatment from upcoming Speicher heroes HUNTER/GAME - a perfect companion to label ally PATRICE BÄUMEL who presents one of his finest vocal chop jobs so far in FENOMENO (vinyl only).

Which brings us to VOIGT & VOIGT's AKIRA: originally stemming from the duo's ground-breaking full-length DIE ZAUBERHAFTE WELT DER ANDEREN (KOMPAKT 274 CD 104), the new REEPERBAHN MIX (vinyl only) takes the mantra-like source material and infuses it with some decidedly grainy feel - a funky sound collage of field recordings, accordion and beats. Jörg Burger aka The Modernist has the honor to conclude the 2015 instalment of TOTAL with SACROSANCT, a cut from his new moniker THE BLACK FRAME and proof of Burger's indie pop sensibilities as well as his impressive skill set when it comes to unadulterated songwriting.

Romanian record label Naural is preparing to start 2015 with a fresh release that comes with another debut, the talented Romanian artist Crihan.

Intricate and subtle, the A-side, Transit Station, excites the listener on a mental scale, an irresistible blend of adrenaline, panic and pleasure. The B-side comes with a carefully crafted remix by Petre Inspirescu that tells a slightly different story. Dreamy and hypnotic with occasional elements of mystery, Petre's vision is the perfect complement to the synth driven original version.

Altogether Transit Station (NAU 004) is the kind of release that asks to be unveiled by the patient and curious listener. A rollercoaster of emotions, split in two synergetic, timeless visions, that will surely manage to sweep  listeners off their feet for a long time."

This third vinyl features the young and talented Vincent Iulian in his debut form.

Starting things off is the hypnotic "Nemeta" which grasps
you with its uplifting strangeness. Following, is "Pe trei", a straight
forward, old school rooted, dancefloor shaker. Finally, on the flipside, you will find Adsum's Remix for Nemeta, transforming the track into a faster, stripped down version of the original, with great finesse

Palastrevolution, a well programmed and driving synth combined with a deep low end making this tune a mind stimulating composition with a manipulative & revolutionary attitude.

'ELECTRIC TRAIN' ist the first EP of BEBETTA on Kallias Music. This four-track release features two originals and remixes to both of them. 'ELECTRIC TRAIN' is a cheery and housy track, that will help you leave the winter behind and dance into more sunny days. In 'DO KRAJA' you find a song little darker and blue. It is the cry of Croatian Marko Jankovi, who puts his emotions in words along to the beats of BEBETTA. Even though the language is foreign and therefore exotic, the mood conveyed is familiar to everyone, who just wants to dance on and do not want to go home.. The remixes are set by RICH VOM DORF, who is a good friend to the artist and TONARMEE from our Kallias Crew.

Marian Zazeela (*1940) and La Monte Young (*1935) are an artist couple from the United States who live and work together since 1962 and have ever since taken part in a multitude of projects too numerous to mention. It is far more than music both create as their repertoire also features installation art and paintings. But since our main focus is the music, we concentrate on their just reissued album named 'The Black Record' from 1969 with two lengthy minimal drones that create the ultimate mind expanding atmosphere by hypnotizing the listener and putting him into a state of physical and spiritual trance afterwards. We hear several layers of voices on a deep dark drone as the first track and I could imagine that this drone is in fact the echo of Mrs. Zazeela's chanting voice but it might also be a harmonium or an organ. It sounds too natural and warm for a synthesizer. Whatever it is, it works as a solid base for the wordless chants of both artists. This piece is in fact a selection from a much longer soundscape recorded in an art gallery in Munich in 1969. The minimalistic structure and meandering voice melodies generate a hypnotic and utterly spiritual atmosphere just as if you would witness an Indian meditation ritual. Turn the vinyl around and you will be swallowed by a black hole of sounds. This piece has been recorded in 1968 in the home studio of Young and Zazeela and it predates the cosmic music and proto industrial sounds of early TANGERINE DREAM or CLUSTER by a few years. This album is certainly made for a small audience of people who can put themselves in a state where leaving the body for a spiritual journey is only the next step. Both pieces are far from regular popular music but that makes them even more captivating and intriguing. A challenge for each listener in case he's not used to TANGERINE DREAM's 'Zeit' album yet. Who dares to join us on this strange trip

:"Crimini" is a new independent label born from the experience of some members of the mighty Kitchentstudio3, based in Bologna Italy.The first release contains on the first side three track by Nas1 duo. The young duo work at the Kitchenstudio3 since 2011, where they produced a lot of good stuff, including a track featuring Kyle Hall (released by Wild Oats Music), their debut Ep on Bosconi Records, two tracks released by Nick Anthony Simoncino's Hotmix Records, and many other cool works.
On the other side there is a power track, spinning at 45 tmp, produced by the mysterious Grienkho, appeared on Pushmaster Records and Austerity, and Kosmik, legendary record collector from south of Italy.

MOSCOW016 marks the return to a wax for Moscow Records. First up on the new series is Italian-born Berliner, Lorenzo Chiabotti. No newcomer to the scene, Lorenzo is a mainstay of Luc Ringeisen's Vinyl Club Recordings, playing regularly at Club der Visionaere, Katerholzig and Arena, as well as managing a busy international schedule.

The EP opens with L'Appeso - a tension-builder centred on an eerie hook, interacting with creeping modular elements and complemented by a broken-beat drum pattern. On the A2, Adnur's clean beats and dubby analogue musical licks create a fantastic groove. On the flip, label-owner Archie Hamilton leads with his interpretation of Cursor. Using elements from the original, as well as adding a driving bassline, the track builds into a restrained crescendo. The original mix of Cursor completes the EP, with dancing hi-hats, rubbery bass and summery tones.

Castanea Records is on the way to present its own first release by Ukrainian artist Yaroslav Lenzyak. This vinyl includes 1 track for each side :
"Lost Moons" on side A and "Ticket to the Galaxy" on side B.

Sid LeRock throws his passion into the track with a remix that makes a feature of Leigh's vocals, adding slick effects and textures over an infectious rhythmical backdrop. Finally, 'Sparks Fly' gets an original electro makeover by Christian Gleinser. Soaring synths and a punchy electro beat give it a timeless, sleazy dimension.

Miss Jools & Scott Kemp join forces to bring Lowroom this deep dubby action, while remixes come from fuse regular Ittetsu and Alexander Kyosev.

Catch is a new British label, and one, evidently, that aims to do things on their own agenda whilst not pandering to any specific sound.

After an 8 month long break, Sylphe is back, this time changing things for the first time with a solo EP by the B side dweller, Micawber. He is delivering two solid, thumping techno cuts in the well-known mystifying Sylphe mood. On the A Side we have ''Fasma'', a rolling, melancholic techno jam. Sparkling rhythms meet lamenting melodies in a 10 minute trip of bubbly sub-basslines and transcendent grooves. On the usual B side Micawber is delivering Yenbashu. A psyched-out trip into electronics, it moves swiftly into an experimental territory of madness, full of edgy and shuffled up beats. Both cuts remain true to the sound Sylphe has forged, albeit taking a sharper turn and evolving naturally.

Simply he has never done us. The low-key friendly Turkish producer with the unpronounceable name, has never made
music for the hip All-Together-Happiness-Floor. The man comes from jazz and blues. And at Tolga Baklacioglu means
electronic music production to test the depths of house music. Sometimes tricky, sometimes playful, sometimes
psychedelic, but always deep. His tracks have often a length of eleven or twelve minutes. Music takes time. Prime-time
music sounds different. And that's why we like him. And so Tolga published with "Feeling Now and Then" his fourth
Lebensfreude - EP. Music that was heard up to Buenos Aires, where the Argentine producer and DJ Violett
(Telegraph/Unfoundsound/Igloo) contributed a functionally magical remix. One thing we know. This time it will not be
simple again. Luckily.

Einfach hat er es uns noch nie gemacht. Der zurückhaltende sympathische türkische Produzent mit dem
unaussprechlichen Namen, hat noch nie Musik für den hippen All-Together-Happiness-Floor gemacht. Der Mann kommt
vom Jazz und Blues. Bei Tolga Baklacioglu bedeutet elektronische Musik produzieren, die Tiefen von House
auszutesten. Manchmal vertrackt, mal verspielt, mal psychedelisch, aber stets deep. Seine Tracks haben nicht selten
eine Länge von elf, zwölf Minuten. Musik braucht Zeit. Prime-Time-Musik klingt anders. Und genau deswegen mögen wir
ihn. Und so veröffentlicht Tolga mit "Feeling Now and Then" seine mittlerweile vierte EP auf "Lebensfreude". Musik, die
bis nach Buenos Aires Gehör fand, wo die argentinische Produzentin und DJ Violett einen funktional-zauberhaften Remix
beisteuerte. Doch eines wissen wir. Dieses Mal wird es wieder nicht einfach sein. Zum Glück.

Nach seinem Remix für Gunne und der Teilnahme am deutsch-argentinischen - Miti & Halp' Projekt nun wieder eine vollständige EP von Mathias Schaffhäuser auf Lebensfreude. Wir sind entzückt! Und nachdem das Musik Krause Quartett von Schleck&Stecker schon für die letzte Pentatones-EP einen Remix beisteuerte, haben sich diesmal die Labelmacher persönlich an die Regler gesetzt. Das Krause Duo gewohnt ungewohnt. So haben wir das gerne. Und Ezeqiuel Esley, mit Sweet'N'Candy ebenfalls am - Miti & Halp' Projekt beteiligt und jüngst mit eigener EP auf Lebensfreude, schlägt den Bogen zurück nach Argentinien. Auch dies macht uns Freude und macht aus Utopien erfreuliche Realitäten...

The long-term friendly cooperation of WARE and LEBENSFREUDE shows fruit again. After his remix for Gunne and participation in the German-Argentine "Miti & Halp" project once again a full EP of Mathias. We are delighted! And so after the quartet of MUSIK KRAUSE Schleck&Stecker already for the last Pentatones contributed a remix EP, have this time set the label owner personally to the regulator. The Krause Duo usual unusual. So we have the love. And Ezeqiuel Esley with Sweet'N'Candy also at "Miti & Halp" project involved, and more recently on its own LEBENSFREUDE EP, suggests the bow back to Argentina. This also makes us happy and makes positive utopias realities ...

Following on from their first release with Mr G, Toi.Toi.Musik now brings its very own, Voigtmann. Accumulating an array of releases in labels such as HelloRepeat, Assemble Music and Yumé and remixers such as Craig Richards and Ion Ludwig he now brings forward only his original work on his own platform Toi.Toi.

The EP offers 4 tracks which pose a level of diversity not generally seen in such a young artist. After listening to each of the tracks one can easily come to the conclusion that they are unique pieces of work intrinsically linked to each other in perfect harmony. The result is powerful and provoking. The effect is more than just dance worthy but a solid musical experience.

A dance-floor focused track on A1 bridges into a break based track dissolving itself into beautiful string sequence on A2. On the B Side a reduced groover on the B1 and a downtempo track on B2, particularly beautiful emotions arise from fine piano elements elegantly placed over the repetitive and hypnotic base of this track.

YouaND:THEMACHINES is the solo project of Martin who is a part of youANDme. "BEHIND" is his longplayer debut on ORNAMENTS and is a mirror of all his influences from dub techno, ambient, downbeat, Detroit techno and house music. Never before has Martin incorporated his music so much in analog hardware, field recordings and hidden messages. He has invited orchestral musicians to collaborate on the project and one of his main ideas was to use no samples and generate every sound with a range of classic analog instruments using modern techniques of the year 2013 without loosing the old spirit. Guests vocal collaborations from around the world include Robert Owens, Brothers' Vibe, Delhia de France, Keter Darker and Bajka.Each of them adding their unique character to the album indulging the listener into new mystical directions.
