House Vinyl New Releases - News

The Polish DJs, producers and Pets Recordings' label owners known for their electrifying performances and catchy cuts announce their third LP, 'Basic Colour Theory', a fruitful collection of evocative melodies and gorgeous vocals. This album marks a pivotal moment in their career as house outfit Catz 'N Dogz. Taking firm lead of the Eastern European electronic music revolution, the pair, who have previously graced the cover of both Mixmag and DJ Mag Spain, have for some time been poised for significant success as their international recognition on the underground has never lacked momentum. 'Basic Colour Theory' will add to the list of remarkable accolades the dynamic duo already have under their belt; joining their acclaimed Essential Mix in 2013, and weighty remixes for a who's who in music electronic or otherwise, including Basement Jaxx, Kings Of Leon, Thomas Schumacher, Friendly Fires, and Kim Ann Foxman, not to mention their two previous LPs. Colour; such a pervasive part of everything we visually encounter, and its many theories a logical structure that for many artists, designers and music producers becomes an intuitive choice - a melting pot of ideas and influences in varying quantities. Evoking particular moods and emotions through choice of palette in design and sound architecture.

The third Subtil release comes from the Romanian Cosmin Nastasa........................
You can find two extra-long club tracks with excellent grooves.
Early support by Rhadoo and Barac........................

Left Wing Recordings reach a pivotal tenth release with a 4 track vinyl only EP by label boss Michael McLardy.

FUSE London returns this June with an outstanding EP from FUSE regulars Dan Farserelli and Seb Zito.
The 'Different Shades' EP is the first material from the duo to see the light of day and does not disappoint as it more than lives up to the lofty standards expected from these two.
The hazy aesthetic of lead track 'Black & Grey' perfectly sets the tone for the rest of the EP. Here trademark crisp drums are complemented by cloudy sounds and melancholic melodies.
Next up is 'Monotone' which continues in a similar vein, with a skipping rhythm, expertly placed bleeps and a flickering shimmer of warmth being brought in and out of focus & is exclusively available on vinyl only.
'Shadows', the first track on the b-side, sees the pair at the height of their talents. It is a beautifully simple yet effective track with a wandering horn expertly layered over an infectious punchy beat.
'In Colour' stays in line with the EPs smoky feel with a glimmering snyth and a spoken word vocal cutting through the solid percussive base.
Overall then, the 'Different Shades' EP sees Dan and Seb lay a strong foundation for an incredibly promising production partnership.
The EP sees them perfectly complement each other's production qualities to deliver an accomplished debut of immersive underground sounds.

Bunte Bummler are the whizkids of the groove.

The Mannheim born duo has had a profound influence on the electronic music scene. After super-hot releases on 8 Bit, Mono, Defected, Hottrax and Serkal, we are immensely proud to have them on the Baile Musik roster.
The Bummler's contributions Aesub and E Yo E Yo demand celebration and for this reason we've rounded up an impressive posse of producers who know how take their cues from these remarkable productions.
Aesub is exemplary for the Bummler's current production mood. It represents exceptionally good and perfect view of the Bummlers current production mood. A clean and groovy minimal techno track with female vocals and a hot analogue bass line to us sounds like an excellent recipe.
Baile Musik veteran Monika Ross presents an effective, slightly different take on Aesub that places special emphasis on smoothness and the warmth of the track. E Yo E Yo as the B-side is something quite different and could almost be described as a kind of rattling, slow groove with an atmosphere so interesting that only few producers can create something like it with such ease and joy.

Silat Beksi needs no introduction. Always inventive, always determined, always independent, he belongs to the new breed of truly exceptional producers. His productions are reminders of the good old Arpiar Sound - dark, repetitive, simple, yet at the same time verily effective. And his E Yo E Yo remix is no exception from his decisive style of production.

Our 80th edition offers plenty of interesting moments combined with dance floor fillers and top quality final processing by Rob Small.

"MOSCOW017 sees Archie Hamilton release his first solo EP on the label since it's creation, five years ago. The opening track was written at the end of a summer season spent in Ibiza's Cala Vadella. It's intricate bass, percussion and emotive tones capture the mystery of this beautiful part of the island, putting the listener into a hypnotic state over it's 12 minute journey.
Contrarily, 21514 was written in the UK during the spring (the clue is in the title...). Micro house percussion is paired with dreamy synths and growling bass in perfect harmony to create 7 minutes of wonder. Romania's Priku lends a hand on the remix, adding a sense of dance floor aggression but without loosing the original character of the track."

Apparently MR. RETRO is from Japan living in Detroit or vice versa. "LOOK AHEAD" gets a nice dub disco re-edit. "GET THE DUB" is straight 90's smack flavor! And last, "VISIONARY CHICAGO" sounds like a lost MR. FINGERS or VIRGO archive from TRAX RECORDS! Limited pressing, don't sleep

The second release of the berlin label "WHATIPLAY" is at the same time the first release of Carolain
Luf named "Necesito Tu Amor". This track, which is the first on the record, is mutating fast. Carried on
by anxiety and a portion of "Amor" (love) upon to the first big love which Daniel Dexter is interpreting in
his own way with his remix of "Necesito Tu Amor".

1x each customer !
Releasing not very often, Understand has always kept things in the dark about what is going to happen next. The wait is over and the fifth instalment of the series is named Ebandogue and features 3 tracks from Dubtil, one of today's best producers in the Bucharest underground.

Ruling side a is Opus Ebant, an epic masterpiece, driven by a groovy bassline and subtle male choirs. This heavenly atmosphere goes from trippy to driving back and forth making it perfect for a peaktime moment that won't be forgotten. May also be used in some worship places.

Debandada and Epilogue share side b and besides the producer himself that is almost everything they share. Debandada is kind of dark and experimental but full of energy in the same time with weird whispers and evolving hats keeping everything on the move.

Epilogue has a more positive approach, the general uplifing feeling is spiked ocasionally with a techno resonator and some background synths, and just like that, the random delayed male vocals make it so more interesting.

Small Bodies EP by Easy Changes is going to be the first release of Arma Label in 2014. Hungarian producer Laurine Frost -whose name in advanced Moscow line-ups quite naturally correlates with Easy Changes- did the remix of the title track. Fresh and forceful techno flow makes the seventh release distinct among label's latest production. At the same time its connection to the roots is very strong. Artists preserved and revitalized that pure underground attitude of early Arma deeds its reputation as a club was built on.

Jacob Korn is back! After Uncanny Valley released his acclaimed debut album in 2012, he has been busy playing live, remixing, extending his studio and of course producing loads of new music. The first results arrive as EP1 just in time for summer followed up by EP2 later this year. Jacob has always had a knack for producing distinctive House tracks that cause a stir on the dance floor. With EP1 he proves that he hasn't lost any of his skills. On "Eisladen" he works a killer Highlife guitar sample and a synth-heavy break into a track that will put a lot of hands in the air this summer. "Arzt im Praktikum" starts with powerful cowbell-driven drumming and as soon as the devastating rave chords drop, the dance floor is turned upside down without a warning. On the flipside we start with the graceful "Fahrt durch Tal" featuring Phillip Oertel who contributes a funky bass guitar melody. With his Midas touch, Jacob unites Philipp's bass work with soulful vocals and spaced out strings and comes up with a contemporary Space Disco track of a special kind. Finally, we'll get "Kokosnuss" which once again unveils Jacob's love for cheerful hooks. With the acidic synths and the stomping drums the track almost has an old school feel to it. The cover artwork comes courtesy of Anna Jaszpataki from Dresden.
