Mit einem dicken Remixpaket von Künstlern wie Sonntagskind, Purple Disco Machine & dem French Cut Produzenten Eskei83 dürfte hier für jeden Geschmack etwas zu finden sein !!

Claude VonStroke created dirtybird records in 2005 and continues to run A&R and daily operations. In between classic releases like "Who's Afraid of Detroit" and "Vocal Chords" VonStroke managed to also produce a large catalog of remixes. A typical VonStroke remix does not fall into the category of "said track getting redone with a new drum beat and some dub effects on top." No, the typical VonStroke remix tends to be a complete re-work from the ground up.

The first Arms & Legs Release in 2012 comes from Daniel Steinberg. Take some House and a pinch of minimal, add a dash of electronica & put some disco to the top. Shake wellÖ enjoy!

On the A side, Slow Dancer is Shlomi at his best. This is a modern classic as Shlomi creates an incredible groove around this mesmerizing keyboard line and shuffling beats. The track goes through peeks and valleys but still maintains an incredible energy although retaining a level of deepness. As the track the swirls and grooves the energy continues to build. His approach is minimal, but the result is maximal. On the B side, Groove Mechanism is a driving main floor monster. Built around a rolling bass line and driving percussion, Groove Mechanism will rock any dance floor. Both tracks should be in any dj sets for a long time to come.

Es gibt Musik, die klingt wie ein dunkles Versprechen. Musik, die ein latentes Unbehagen auslöst und deren Anziehungskraft in genau der Fähigkeit besteht, dieses Unbehagen auszulösen. Solche Musik ist lebendiger Widerspruch, bedrohliche Attraktivität, Klang gewordener Abgrund - faszinierend wie ein Film von Cronenberg. Die Musik von Denseland vibriert unter eben dieser Spannung. Hanno Leichtmann, Hannes Strobl und David Moss hatten bereits ein Album mit dem Titel "Chunk" veröffentlicht. Nun legen sie mit "Like likes Like" auf dem Berliner label m=minimal nach und führen damit zusammen, was zusammen gehört. Rhythmische Texturen, rudimentäre Melodien und der weitgehende Verzicht auf Harmonien wirken wie ein Lehrstück in Sachen Minimalismus. Dies ist Rhythmusmusik, die ihren Sog ganz unmittelbar entfaltet und die sparsamer kaum sein könnte. Die Stücke wirken tief und unterkühlt. Und über den rhythmischen Strukturen liegt der magische Sprechgesang von David Moss. Eine Stimme, die uns scheinbar direkt ins Ohr flüstert, die grummelt und knarzt. Oft ist sie kaum mehr als ein sonores Raunen, das brockenweise Sprache formt. Dann wieder dehnt und biegt sie sich zu so etwas wie Gesang, während Geisterstimmen im Äther hauchen und flüstern. Es ist diese Stimme, die maßgeblich dazu beiträgt, die Stücke auf Like likes Like auf so beklemmende Art und Weise aufzuladen. Fast alle repetetive Musik funktioniert nach dem Prinzip Hypnose durch Wiederholung. Manchmal braucht ein Stück Minuten, um seine hypnotische Wirkung zu entfalten. Denseland brauchen dafür bloß wenige Sekunden. Der Fliehkraft dieser Downtempo- Rotationen kann man sich kaum entziehen. Denseland sind Meister im Öffnen weiter Räume; das Wenige am Mitteln wird von ihnen mit maximaler Effizienz eingesetzt. Slow Motion Funk oder Minimaler Spoken Word Geräuschtechno sind unzureichende Schätzwerte, die den dunklen, energetischen Tracks dieses Trios kaum gerecht werden. Die Band hat sich 2008 formiert. 2009 erschien die CD "chunk" bei MOSZ Rec. Vienna. Im gleichen Jahr betrieb das Trio das Projekt "speaking in tongues" mit Chris Kondek und Christane Kühl. Es folgten diverse Festivalauftritte, u.a. Ruhrtrienale, Avantart, Made, Sonar und Taktlos.

BPitch Control begegnet dem aktuellen Wandel mit einem groß angelegten Compilation-Album, dessen programmatischer Titel "Where The Wind Blows" nur wenig Erklärung bedarf: Siebzehn beeindruckende und bis dato allesamt unveröffentlichte Tracks von ebenso vielen Künstlern zeigen, wohin der Wind bei BPC zukünftig wehen könnte. Die musikalische Vielschichtigkeit des Albums steht seiner Konsistenz und Geschlossenheit nicht im Mindesten im Wege - ganz im Gegenteil: "Where The Wind Blows" ist gleichzeitig Bestandsaufnahme eines erfolgreichen Labels und visionärer Wegweiser in die Zukunft der elektronischen Musik.

Fear of Flying unleash their first ever LP with dutchman Ivano Tetelepta undertaking the honours. The 8 tracks on the vinyl are a step away from the traditional straight up 4/4 route that FOF usually tread, feeling that for an LP to make a splash in the modern era it has to be more about the flow of tracks as a whole, rather than just a double pack of straight up house beats; there has to be a splash more emotion and feeling with the emphasis on mood. Yet that isn't to say there aren't club worthy tracks, far from it. The glorious twisted '120' and deep tech funk '119' are custom made for the dancefloor and are exclusive to the vinyl release whilst the CD version has it's own exclusives in the form of the more broken '115 alternative mix' and laidback '117'.

SMD's new album, simply entitled "Live" presents a document of their world-renown, visceral live show. The recording here comes from Making Time in Philadelphia, from December 2012, A single, un-edited take, the live set features material from their entire back catalogue - including the massive "Put Your Hands Together", "Cerulean" and "Seraphm" from Unpatterns, "Skin Cracker" and "Aspic" from Delicacies, and brand new, updated for 2012 versions of "Wooden" and "Hustler" from their debut LP. The older tracks have gone through a considerable metamorphosis, and in some cases the only original parts that remain are the vocal samples. For those who have seen the live show, the round table and James and Jas occasionally manic runs around it, tweaking knobs to coax ever more warped sounds from their modular synth, this record captures some of that for posterity.

King Street Sounds celebrates its double decade-long love of House Music with one of its foremost heroes, Louie Vega. A milestone for both as Louie Vega won 2 Grammy Awards, been part of one of the most influential House Music production teams, namely Masters At Work, launched such monumental and groundbreaking projects like Nuyorican Soul and Elements of Life, release significant productions on his Vega Records, tour with his beautiful wife, performer and DJ Anane, as well as to this day, continuing to wow audiences each and every week around the world with his superb mixing skills as a live DJ. In this time King Street has also seen its share of successes, working with Louie and launching 2 sister labels, Nite Grooves & Street King, creating a catalog of over 1800 titles, a few mainstream chart toppers, and contributing to the early careers of some of the most world-renowned artists in House Music; namely DJ Pierre, Satoshi Tomiie, Cevin Fisher, Dimitri from Paris, Roland Clark, Blaze, Tony Humphries, David Morales, Danny Tenaglia, Kerri Chandler, Dennis Ferrer, Joe Claussell, and many, many others. Louie Vega and King Street have come together once again to mark the label's 20th Anniversary. This momentous occasion is marked by a double release on CD with an homage being paid to the Master at Work himself. On CD1 Louie returned to his lab and re-worked Dennis Ferrer feat Mia Tuttavilla's smash hit Touched the Sky, and has especially created his very own intermittent Vega beat original floor fillers, namely I, II, & III, which are seamlessly mixed throughout various segments. All of the selected tunes have slight peaks and valleys with mostly even keels and steady tempos, that tug on the swaying hips ever-so deeply. Other highlights on this comp include Jon Cutler's dub of Kimara Lovelace's Far Away, Mr.V's 5 Beats Mute Pass of DJ Roland Clark's "Have A Good Time," the Kerri Chandler Kaoz 6:23 Dub of Studio Apartment feat. Monique Bingham's "Found Him," the Teddy Douglas Re-Edit of Pastaboys Main Mix of Ananda Project's club hit "Where The Music Takes You" and quite a number of other notables. CD2 is 11 of the Best Of Productions and Remixes he did for King St over the years. From the classics, "Souffles H," "Cassio's Theme," and to the more recent "Touched The Sky," "Lovery" and many more. Since its spawning form the days of Disco and morphing and evolving over the years into its varied styles, House/Dance Music/EDM, once considered the bastard child of the music industry, never ever went away and with 20-years etched into music history, further proof that a label like King Street Sounds and artists like Louie Vega have surely stood the test of time.

Pascal Feos and Domenic D'Agnelli are good friends who do not misunderstand each other. In the studio the two produced a nice techno track together. - Get me wrong' - with fundamental basslines, impulsive Chords and groovy percussions the Original Mix imparts a solid impression that will be also audible in the club! Pascal and Domenic splashed out and instructed two of the announced Moon Harbour guys for remixing. Luna City Express and Arado really pushed the EP and give that special something. And finally there is a great Dub Mix that complement the total package.

‚Get me Wrong' - mit fundamentalen Basslines, treibenden Chords und mit groovigen Percussions macht der Original Mix einen soliden Eindruck, der sich auch im Club sicherlich niederschlägt. Pascal und Domenic haben sich nicht lumpen lassen, und beauftragen gleich zwei der angesagte Moon Harbour Jungs zum Remixen. Luna City Express und Arado machen ordentlich Druck und geben der EP das besondere Etwas. Zu guter letzt, gibt's noch einen schönen Dub Mix, der das Gesamtpaket an dieser Stelle super abrundet!

All Inn represents Jay Bliss in the 8th round of Black series. "Kokkoo For Coco Puffs" gives a repetitive hypnosis to the dancefloors in more than 13 minutes. After the long tracker trip on the flipside "War of the Worlds" comes front of us with dry and housey rhythms filled with funk, and "Mission Control" closes the line with its perfect toolistic sound for main-time djsets.

Unclear006 sees the return of the label boss Elia Perrone, who composed a latin sounds influenced music, with piano solos, long synths, fully melted in a continuous journey. The record is also composed with remixes from great artists such Dandy Jack, with his unique style that marks a psychedelic sound of minimal rhythms, Dani Casarano with a continuous hypnotic groove, and last but not least, Italoboyz, that perfectly blend sounds giving life to a pure dancefloor killer!

Daniel Dexter's reputation as party starter extraordinaire keeps on growing - a result of his punishing touring schedule and consistently exceptional output of some of Europe's top electronic labels. But it's fair to say that Berlin based Dexter's most rewarding and boundary-pushing work so far has been courtesy of Poker Flat Recordings - which makes this edition of the Hamburg imprint's Focus On series very timely.
Focus On Daniel Dexter joins the already illustrious company of previous releases that featured Argy and Guido Schneider, and is set to bring Dexter's unique brand of dancefloor mayhem to yet more ears. Having spent 2012 touring the world and ripping up dancefloors in every way imaginable, this release brings into sharp focus the force of nature that is Daniel Dexter.
The release draws together some key releases and distinct high points of his sound over the last few years, as well as giving us some very exciting glimpses of what's in store in the future - scattered throughout this weighty release are numerous unreleased and exclusive cuts set to detonate dancefloors throughout 2013. The exclusive tracks are available on the vinyl release, while digital customers can pick up all 13 unmixed tracks. What's more, the album is also being released on CD as an exclusive mix made by Dexter himself, showcasing not only his expertly crafted tracks but his unique and highly sought after mixing skills - not to be missed!
The journey starts with 'The Other Day' - Dexter's emotional mood setter sounding as good as ever - a true slice of atmospheric dance music as you'll hear. The album also makes sure to stop by some other Dexter-defining moments, including 'No House for Old Men' from 2011, and a trio of stunning releases on Poker Flat from 2012 - 'Sirens', 'Storm' and 'Murder'. Each was a master class in dynamics and production savvy, referencing classic sounds but never being overawed by them. Dexter's astounding remix for Zombie Disco Squad's 'Righteous Sound' on Made to Play is another case in point- tight, punchy, and filled with a menace and attitude that is all Dexter.
Dexter's skills for balancing the needs of dancefloors to the more cerebral needs of the home listeners is clear - and nowhere more so than on the new and exclusive tracks on this release. 'Birds' has a lightness of touch that makes it perfect for very early or very late in any set. 'Night Away' is more upfront but maintains a jazzy undertone and boasts a smouldering vocal from Geraldine Roth - and also comes with a handy dub version for the DJs. 'Raw Land' is a firing late night house monster, deep and trippy and sure to turn a few floors inside out when played at the right moment. 'Papillon' builds dramatically, utilizes its few elements to create a wicked groove reminiscent of classic period Carl Craig, while 'Why So Serious' adds another dimension of edginess to the proceedings.
'In To The Wild' further references Dexter's debt to Detroit, but transcends the sum of its parts to create a lush and emotive deep bomb. Rounding off the album is Dexter's upcoming remix of Gender Bombs 'Danube'- a perfect way to close this epic journey- sitting somewhere between trip hop and deep house, this track showcases Dexter's extraordinary diversity and sure touch for emotional dance music.

El Prevost drops his third, and possibly his strongest set for Third Ear. D.Ham freestyles brilliantly on Allez Ally, following previous collabs on Third Ear with El Prevost on My Soul Responding and Putting Out Fires. Standing On My Ground features Lydia, whose warm tones remind of Cassandra Wilson or Lalah Hathaway. Steps Of A Woman, Sunday Tingz and Pay Your Bills are El Prevost rinsing it on his own. Recommended.

Italian artist Paco Wegmann returns to AMA Recordings this February with a full EP following his 'Poveste' track last year featured on AMA's 'Vol 2012' VA last year, this is the first release of 2013 for the label and features a remix from Parisian DJ W!ld. The release opens with title track 'Outta My Way', a shuffling house cut, driven by raw 909 drums, and a bulbous, rolling sub-bass line. Wegmann plays on these two elements for the tracks sevenminute duration, employing sporadic filter cuts, cavernous reverbs and subtle delays to create a flourishing dynamism. ... French house stalwart DJ W!ld steps up next, remixing 'Talking To Strangers', the Rekids, Robsoul and Off artist shakes things up a little with a gritty, raw interpretation.

Rico aka Dinamoe sometimes really behaves like Jekyll & Hyde. He can ´t decide between mad Techno tunes or easy, plifting house music but at the end it is always damn hot. Hot like this tune definitely is. And as it isn´t enough yet Toubi McWeird teams up for another mad monster Remix after hitting the scene hard with his 9Volt release "Razzmatazz".

Phaze Records is the new Imprint founded by Gummish aka Tony Matt. Phaze Records focus on the funky side of techouse and minimal techno of electronic dance music.
