The compilation was released for free via Moxie's Soundcloud page in January 2016, and was met with rave reviews and radio support from the likes of Benji B, Gilles Peterson, Annie Mac and Toddla T.This sampler features 3 tracks taken from the compilation and an exclusive Dub of Medlar's 'In Dreams,' the original of which was a highlight on the compilation.

Following on from two various artist 12's that featured the likes of Rüf Dug and Adam Strömstedt, the latest release on Banoffee Pies Records welcomes unsung 90s house champion Mark Nicholas to the fold, presenting material unearthed from his archive of unreleased gems. We had originally intended to ask Nicholas for one track to appear on our various artist series of 12's, and instead wound up with an album's worth of material to impart.
Nicholas' own Ringrose label first rose to the surface back in 1998, and the highly sought-after Low End Theory Pt. 1 12' amassed something of a cult following amongst eager heads over the years. Intrigued by the refined analog grooves he had left behind, we were no exception, and after digging around his back catalogue on Discogs, we found him perfect for the off-kilter, soul-enriched and sample heavy sound our label and parties stand for.
After requesting tracks from Mark we ended up with a wide selection from Nicholas to sift through and quickly reached the conclusion the music was best represented as a complete body of work. While it took time to come up with the perfect selection, we feel this album best represents the diversity and skill Nicholas has at his fingertips, and demonstrates an art often forgotten today. The ability to keep colour and personality in music a refrain from the simplicities of a pigeon holed sound.
The live, jammed out feel is equally matched by experimental ideas, perhaps best manifested on uptempo swinger This Jazz', but still a direct understanding of groove drives the album forwards at all times. The energy levels ramp up to the techno pulse of Ginger Giraf' at times, while elsewhere a sweet and serene mood calms the pace down on Old Sole', but the finish on the music is consistently organic and hand-played, holding everything together naturally whatever the tempo.
The energy and sheer musicality that spills out of the ten tracks selected for this album is hard to resist, shedding a much-deserved light on jazzed-out house music that came dangerously close to never seeing the light of day.

Paris' prodigal son Djebali returns with this bumper collection of music, curated and compiled to showcase some of his finest work
in digital format for the very first time. Ever since he launched his own label, ( djebali ), the young talent has focused solely on
representing his sound through vinyl. With Ideal Juice, named after his popular residency at the legendary Rex Club, Djebali gives his fans the chance to own specially edited digital versions of material from his back catalogue. Each track is shorter than the vinyl original, so that both digital customers and the vinyl lovers both have exclusive versions of the tunes.
Kicking off with 'Ideal Juice', a late night groover full of soul and funk, Djebali's ability to construct captivating jams that represent the true house sound is evident throughout the compilation. 'Urban Posture' channels that gritty street flavour that can only be found in New York, with smooth, jazzy timbres. 'This Ultimate Dare' is bouncy, infectious and flows effortlessly like a picturesque waterfall. Together with fellow Ghentians Stavroz, responsible for an absolute killer remix, they helped creating a new and refreshing, yet timeless and ripe deep house sound. Together with the label's founding father, Maxim Lany, they picked their very best tracks, in order to compose the perfect ep. This EP is nothing less than a celebration of the family-feeling that has been created around the label over the past few years. Long-term friends and cohorts Ali Love and Luca C have succeeded with something quite extraordinary in their new production guise as Infinity Ink. Already amassing a legion of support and an escalating fan-base their unique cosmic take on garage has struck a chord with the dance-floor and beyond. 'Infinity' has been one of Crosstown Rebels most highly anticipated records of recent times. A smattering of DJ's, from Jamie Jones, Seth Troxler, Damian Lazarus, Lee Foss and Art Department have been championing its intoxicating qualities to nigh on sonic-hysteria over the past few months. Luca and Ali's anthemic 'Infinity' is set to reach epidemic proportions this summer!

'Infinity' is an incredibly hooky slice of left of centre underground house, which encompasses elements of garage, through a hallucinatory resonance that cleverly maintains its notion of pop-sensibility. Ali's evocative trademark vocal phrasing faultlessly compliments the monstrous disco bass line and intoxicating melody. A perfect unison that culminates in a piece of music that is pure hedonistic joy!

When remixing such a ground breaking piece of leftfield garage, who would be more suitable than Todd Edwards, and here he goes the extra mile to deliver arguably his best remix of recent years. The remix king of hypnotic staccato garage, Todd takes 'Infinity' to the next level and whisks you away to The Raleigh at WMC '96! On the flip, the guys jack the groove and deliver another killer in the guise of 'House of Infinity'. A superb compliment to 'Infinity', this is for more peak-time play, as disco fills, jacking hi-hats and Ali's hypnotic vocals mesmerize the listener into a spellbinding state of dance-floor bliss.

Ali Love's prolific career has witnessed him produce two artist albums; several hit singles, and provided the vocals on hits by The Chemical Brothers, Justice, M Craft and Hot Natured. Luca C, formally of Luca C & Brigante fame, has been producing music under various guises and in various band for years and has recently co-written and produced a track on Jamie Jones's latest album. Besides working together as Infinity Ink, Luca and Ali are working on a project with Jamie and Hot Creations - more news to be announced soon. So now, with Infinity Ink as the combination of their extraordinary talents, the future is looking very bright indeed for Luca and Ali.

After a geographically imposed hiatus (the travel links between Nottingham and Hong Kong are intermittent to say the least) Pressed For Time label bosses Rhythm Plate are back with a new project featuring Massive Attack/Presence vocalist Sarah Jay. The original mix of 'No More' is a moody house roller with some trademark Rhythm Plate chord progressions and speaker thumping bass frequencies. Using chopped up licks of Sarah Jay's vocal to introduce the groove it subtly segues into the main vocal and then builds to a euphoric climax complete with strings and synth flourishes. The Goshawk (50% Rhythm Plate DNA) Vocal Flight treads a more New Jersey deep garage vibe with swinging hats, lush warm chords, bumping bassline and chopped up sax. One for the late night, locked in crew. Homepark (Ornate/Third Strike) go for a more party vibe with tougher drums and a Mr Fingers style bassline. A proper dub mix if you will. Finally, Mad Maxx Traxx are baxxx on PFT with a speaker damaging Dance Mania style drum track. No messing. Rumour has it there may be some more of 'No More' watch this space.

Internationally-renowned NY duo The Martinez Brothers have teamed up with the influential Miss Kittinfor 'Stuff In The Trunk', the latest release to come out on the Brothers' own label, Cuttin' Headz. Due for release on the 13th May, this package includes the original track alongside an instrumental and a clean edit.
'Stuff In The Trunk' is certainly an eagerly-anticipated release, with The Martinez Brothers having already teased it at a select few shows - it's prompted big reactions at the likes of Caprices Festivaland Fabric in London, resulting in widespread excitement amongst peers and fans alike.
Miss Kittin's vocals are instantly recognisable, the teasing lyrics standing out against the bouncing bassline and skipping hi-hats. Fast-paced and catchy, it's evidently a hugely effective dancefloor-ready release.
Perfectly timed to come out just as the duo's busy festival and Ibiza season kicks off, 'Stuff In The Trunk' is an exciting addition to the Cuttin' Headz discography.

Having been on something of a hiatus following the birth of his kids, Milton Jackson is back and in best form ever on Songs Without Words.
His most recent releases have been on UK label Tsuba and is responsible for remixes for Recloose on Planet E, Al Kent, and M A N I K.
Kito Jempere debuted on Freerange in 2013 but quickly got soon after got snapped up for EP's on Dirt Crew, Let's Play House and most recently Room With A View. He also owns and manegs the Fata Morgana label from his base in Saint Petersburg.
Pittsburgh Track Authority are the genre bending trio releasing some of the finest house and techno from the East Coast of the US on their own label In The Machine Age as well as esteemed imprints such as Azuri, Argot and Finale Sessions.
Kuniyuki is something of a Japanese enigma, staying resolutely below the radar despite being heralded by many (including Derrick May) as a major inspiration.
The multi-instrumentalist has collaborated with Henrik Schwarz, Vakula, DJ Nature and Jimpster and has released on Mule and Sound Of Speed and remixed DJ Sprinkles, Joe Clausell and Ananda Project.

Birmingham, Alabama producer Byron the Aquarius (we know him for his collaboration with french producer Onra as The Big Payback) drops this debut 12" for Sound Signature!

Cromby is an exciting addition to the London House music scene: Originally hailing from Belfast he has made camp in the British capital and brought his MPC 2000 XL with him. The young man who has grown up listening to Chez Damier and Moodymann makes use of the Japanese sampler from Akai in a highly fresh and creative way combining raw drums with sweet and melancholic pads and chords. On his 'Planets And Parks EP' Cromby displays a very nice balance between a traditional Deep House understanding and a forward thinking attitude and is thus just perfect for Tenderparks's idea of musicality. As far as the artwork of the record is concerned the beautiful black and white image is the last part of Tenderpark's current series concieved by art director Till Sperrle and photographer Magdalena Bichler. And as you've come to expect from Tenderpark all tracks have been mastered and cut by Helmut Erler at Dubplates & Mastering once more.
