LIMITED VINYL HAND STAMPED RELEASE
Next up on Belfast based Titanic City we return to where it all began with a release from Martin De Brig, we first heard this release at a label party as part of Martin's live show. From then, with the crowd reaction we knew it was or next stop. This track is more rooted in Chicago than Detroit with a Jacken baseline and the highest of synth lines, The Chris Nez remix takes it a totally different direction with more of a Electro feel. on the flip A dog called Cairo has an arpeggiated synth line that builds and builds layered with hats rides claps and snares another floor filler. On remix duties for this one we have Snuff Crew who need no introduction.
There's a rough and raw DIY feel to this music that makes it jump out of the speakers and arrest your attention, as is always the case with Titanic City. Stand up pay attention.

KiNK & Neville Watson return with their fourth release to date. 'A Saturday In September' is their first vocal track, featuring Kim Ann Foxman (of Hercules And Love Affair).
KiNK & Neville Watson keep delivering dance floor candy. Their future-retro Chicago house output made quite an impact on the scene over the past few years. With 'A Saturday In November' they keep their signature retro sound, but shift their tribute focus slightly on late 80's New York and it's 'freestyle' days.

Edmonton now Vancouver-based producer Khotin keeps his head in similar clouds as those on 2014's 'Hello World' cassette with a four track 12' of deep, reflective 707 house.
'Baikal Acid' gets introspective on both sides—Side A features both a beat-focused and ambient rework of wintery, transitional zoner 'Recycle', and melodies are pushed similarly to the foreground on the B side where the EP's title track and 'Human Voice' further the dance-friendly lonerisms and sequenced realness of these late night hybrid moods.

180 gr vinyl - vinyl only release
Apes Go Bananas is the new imprint from Steve Bug and Clé, and also the moniker for his new project with long time friend and collaborator Clé. The vinyl only debut release sets out the stall in fine style - this is straight up dance floor rocking house music with a sense of fun and plenty of influence from the golden age of the art form. First up, Kerri On pays homage to one of the greatest, with Mr Chandler's signature crisp drums and deep, jazzy chords present throughout. Bug and Clé relive some classic New York deep house vibes yet retain a strongly contemporary take. Bananas is more late night in approach - the driving 909 and dirty descending synth line evokes a sweaty warehouse, complete with smoke machine and lazers. Yeah You Know fits perfectly into this three track EP - a tightly programmed rhythm track replete with a shuffling breakbeat is the foundation for a simple yet highly effective synth line and a classic cut-up house vocal. Yeah, Apes Go Bananas know house.

With the Manuel Tur LP Es Cub just about to drop we present you DJ's and vinyl aficionados with the first of two separate 12's
highlighting Manuel's brilliant third album.
In 2012 Manuel spent a year living in Ibiza, the birthplace of his
father and somewhere he has always felt a strong connection with despite never having lived there. This period became something of a sabbatical, a year of orientation both privately and musically and despite managing to visit not one single club in his entire time there the esoteric and cabalistic nature of the island clearly became a big influence.
Ara Anam sets the tone with it's warm, minimal approach, a sure-
fire dancefloor pleaser highlighting Manuel's production skills and
giving a glimpse of the new direction Manuel has taken with this
LP. Next up we have title track Es Cub (taken from his pet-name for his impromptu studio set up in a box room in his Ibiza home) which continues with the deep, techno influenced sounds. Hints of clipped minimalism combine with the driving, analogue synth sounds of say Baikal or Ame´.
Flipping over we're treated to About To Fall and Werk containing
both depth and a certain majestic beauty gained from the simple,
stripped back rolling beats and flowing pads.
Expect to be hearing much more from Manuel in the coming months. He has become in demand for his mixing skills, working regularly with Andre Hommen for Objektivity, Shit Robot for DFA and Marcus Worgull for Innervisions.

Foot & Mouth drops a rib-rattling earth-shaker of an EP by the salubrious Montel. The A Side features two versions of 'Garage Stories', 'Vibe 1' is a raw breakin' homage to the Paradise Garage, whilst 'Vibe 2' is a more female vocal led take, equally as monstrous.
On the flip and Montel turns on those old school flavours with a show-pony champion of a tune, 'I Can't Wait' kicks like a mule! Last up is 'NASA', a darker tougher affair for the tech-heads.. heads down for a full house. The EP is been championed by Huxley, Skream, Bicep & Matt Tolfrey.
Push back the settee.. and watch ya bassbins!

We've been sitting on this one for a while. COEO first came to our
attention over a year ago, and while we scooped up the tracks included on their LPH debut, Sunkist, right then and there, due to scheduling snafus and a bursting-at-the-seams calendar, we weren't able to place the EP for months and months. That said, considering the sheer euphoria and brightness of the record, it seemed only right to unleash it into the world in August, when the days are longest, the BBQs most frequent, and you can't walk a block without passing a rooftop party or backyard blowout.
COEO, which is comprised of Florian Vietz and Andreas Höpfl, two Mu¨nchners, already have a couple releases to their names—an EP for Dabit, an appearance on a Sccucci Manucci comp—but we humbly consider this to be their first proper solo EP; it includes four originals and a remix. With 'Sunkist,' it's immediately clear that these kids are fans and followers of garage. The track is built around a bouncy bass riff that lingers and weaves like smoke from a cigarette. Atop that is laid chopped-up vocals, buttery smooth keys, and a touch of simulated vinylcrackle for good measure, all staples of tunes that worm their way into your ear and stay there for good.
The A-side is filled out with a remix from Graeme 'the Revenge' Clark, a longtime friend as well as frequent LPH party guest. Clark consolidates the bits and pieces of the original into something squarer and more to the point—but no less summery or peppy—while adding his own flare (some polyrhythmic drums, extra chords, new vocals, bleeps and bloops). From there, we gently ease into the B1, 'Be,' a cut built in a similar way to the A1, but with a bit more in-your-face punch and a pressing air. The record is concluded with 'Thinkin' 'Bout You,' a swinging, sax-laden tune that flutters around the upper registers more so than the others.
The fellas presented us with such a wealth of awesomeness that we figured we'd tack a bonus song onto the package, something we've not done in a couple years. 'Good Love' acts as a sort of summary of the tracks that preceded it: it's fidgety and twitchy—but not in an overwhelming way—and, simultaneously, easy on the ears, a glossy, sugary confection you'll find yourself returning to time and time again.

Filsonik, one of New York's finest old school underground DJ/producers is down to make his debut on the illustrious Hot Creations imprint after his regular appearances at Circo Loco DC10 and close relationship with the Martinez Brothers brought him into orbit with Jamie Jones et al. A staple in Jamie's sets at the moment and always creating a major impact on the dance floor, 'Dogfish' is testament to Filsonik's nuanced production skills and flair for a killer groove and a ridiculously infectious swagger. Ever in demand, master remixer Jamie draws upon his classic persuasion for free styling wonkiness and rowdy basslines on the B side. Warping the origibal into darker territory and bleeping the beats into submission. Expect to hear bother version everywhere this summer.
Filsonik career as a producer started in 2006 under the wing of New York's veteran house DJ Timmy Regisford of Club Shelter, a legendary weekly house night that ran for fifteen years. Co-productions with Regisford on Shelter's label Unrestricted Tracks and Restricted Tracks showcased Filsonik's sound. Fast forward to 2014 and Filsonik is still a close collaborator with fellow NYC Puerto Rican artists, uniting with The Martinez Brothers and Point G for the massive 'What's The Point' on Ever Lasting LOVE.
Jamie Jones, label head of the pioneering Hot Creations imprint, mastermind behind the decks and one fourth of the Hot Natured is still on top of his game and one of the best loved DJs on the circuit. After being voted as number one DJ in the world in 2012 by Resident Advisor, running the extremely popular Paradise events, now in their third season at DC10 Ibiza and tirelessly touring the globe, Jamie Jones is still the boss and will soon be seeing in the 50th release with something special. Watch this space.

Championed by Maceo Plex himself and already gaining huge reactions, each track builds a tapestry of electronic synths and emotive melodies above deep, dark pads and powerful percussions.

If "The Wanderer" was the record that brought Romanthony's obscure Blackmale label to a wider DJ audience, "Testify" was the release that cemented its reputation as one of the labels to check for in the US import section. And given Romanthony's admirably non-capitalistic view on pressings (he took great pleasure in not repressing records that failed to get big initial orders yet became popular later saying that it made the records all the more special for those that has believed in him and made those initial purchases) you had to be sure to keep your ear to the ground if you wanted to pick up every release.
With 8 mixes sprawled over 2 x 12" and with none of the mixes titled on the first twelve, "Testify" is a true example of Romanthony's enigmatic genius. Sounds ranged from the rock-tinged, live-drum fuelled "Testify #1 (A1 mix)", through (many DJs favourites) the organ/bass heavy "Testify #1 (B1 mix)" to the minimal "Creator's Remix" which, with its bass-loop, tough 909 beat and scattered samples was in stark contrast to the turbo-charged tools for entertaining E-monsters that filled the DJ Magazine Hype Chart at the time.
"Testify" was also the first record in which Romanthony introduced his new compression trick. He loved the breakdowns in tracks and wanted them to be as loud as possible but finding a home mastering device that could do the same job as a dj lifting the volume on the track during the breakdown and then dropping when the kick landed it precisely to the level it was before the breakdown was almost impossible. Until he discovered the neat AVLS switch on the Sony DATman. When this button was turned on, the DATman recorded everything at one constant volume. Exactly what Roman was after. DJs loved the feature and it became one of the key signatures of his tracks throughout the 90s.
But enough Nerdy music production chat, on to the remixes.
Jimmy Edgar, in true Blackmale style, takes Roman's original chops it in his sampler and lays the results over a thundering distortion tinged beat. It is proper raw jacking business, perfect for small dark rooms with a few hundred sweaty bodies. Waifs & Strays deliver a brilliant modern update complete with an air-punching sax solo (something that was definitely one of the nails in the deep house coffin the first time round and the kind of thing that could get you shot if you used in the 00s). Illyus & Barrientos deliver what is arguably their strongest remix to date dropping snips of the original over a quite brilliant bassline groove. Ed One & Boddenalso opt for some bassline action but add in classic organ stabs and Todd Edwards style vocal chops to their big-ass bass wobbler. Lastly, we have the previously unreleased CD#9 Vocal Version which as usual, features one of Roman's deeper, more organic mixes.
