FINA Records returns with its sixteenth release this June, this time coming from German duo Tarron Trekka who offer up a four-track self-titled EP.
Daniel Muller-Sachs and Andreas Kriester aka Tarron Trekka have been releasing material via the likes of Freude Am Tamzen, Brut! and Milnor Modern since the late 2000's, although have been actively DJ'ing since the late 90's. Since unveiling the Tarron Trekka alias in 2006 the pair have picked up support from some well respected heads in the underground circuit such as Rodhad, Don't Be Afraid founder Semtek and Adultnapper, so it's no surprise to see the pair snapped up for a single here on the illustrious FINA imprint.

In 2014, he begins a new chapter in his career with a brand new series of releases: The Garnier Project.

The cardinal rules behind theses releases being Laurent's constant to reinvent himself, to takes risks, to feed on the extraordinary energy on the current underground scene and his endless quest for new sounds and styles.

It might come as a surprise to some to see him on our label, but his approach to Djing as well as producing pretty much sums up what we believe in: Anything goes. Laurent is just as likely to play a Disco track or even a forgotten Reggae jam at peak time as he is to drop the latest techno jam or a classic chicago house track. His sets and productions have always been surprising and captivating, never stopping to add a fresh and exciting edge to contemporary electronic music. We share a mutual love for jazz music, and his live performances with various jazz musicians are yet another proof that he is always keen to
experiment with new sounds and keep things fresh.

Its very much in this spirit what his latest 12" on our label has in store. "Psyche-Delia", a homage to his wife Delia, was inspired by his deep love for ethiopian jazz. And indeed, it sounds like a modern take on something like Mulatu Astatke. With a baseline that reminisces afrobeat, flutes and live rhodes it feels almost like a live jam session and defiantly way beyond what we would usually associate with the term "house music". The flipside, by no means a regular b-side and hence entitled "side one", sees Garnier go into even deeper territory with the low-key, bass-heavy and trippy track "Whistle for Frankie". In a way, it feels like a modern take on classic Garnier values - a very detailed production, hypnotic sounds that just draw you in from the start and most of all a unique sound that just no other person could have pulled off. "

As a DJ/producer/label owner, Anthony Collins is a man of many talents. Since first landing on the decks as a young 17-year-old in France to holding down some of New York's finest parties and uncovering new talent from different corners of the globe, Collins remains a steady fixture in today's evolving electronic scene. An explorer of different soundscapes, Collins is widely known for delivering strings of quality releases. This April, HAKT Recordings proudly presents Lie To Me, the latest diamond in the rough by Collins. Our journey begins with the album's eponymous track. Its raw, gritty, in-your-face pounding bassline immediately captivates, gradually building up to an unforgettable vocal drop. A nod to old school Chicago and ghetto house, Big Willy's grimy, infectious vocal work brings the track to life as he roars, 'This motherfuckin' pimp's got to get P-A-I-D.' Recorded years earlier, it wasn't until Collins cleaned out an old hard drive that he re-discovered the vocals-undoubtedly a blessing in disguise for listeners as the end result is a powerful,12-minute beast of a track destined to elevate listeners into a state of hedonistic euphoria. Following suit is the markedly calmer but equally throbbing jam, 'Swing State.' Though it relies on the similar old school style as its antecedent, the EP's second single remains an instrumental track. Amid crackling kicks and snares, the jacking groove takes hold when a sudden chorus of thundering claps erupts toward the finish line before drifting to a close. Stripping away any remnants of Big Willy's vocals, what remains on the EP is a dub offering by Collin's label companion and Frank & Tony's other half, Francis Harris under his Lightbluemover alias.

Emergency Cosmetics is New York hardware afficionado J. Albert's second 12" offering, and comes as the inaugural 12" release for Los Angeles based Hesperian Sound Division. A valient effort into capturing a fully realized aesthetic, the EP digs into all corners of the Brooklyn producer's repertoire, nodding a head towards classic NY style house and contemporary electronics alike. Side A of the record explores an etherial and transcendent voice, with tracks, "Beta 3", and cult classic, "Are You In". On the B side, a departure towards concise and minimalist dancfloor cuts presents itself, beginning with high hat clinic "Pick Me Up", and culminating in the weighty yet delicate floor burner, "Givin' Lip".

The real sound of deep house... from Chicago 1987.Originally released on Street Sound, "In The City" has been fully re mastered for 2015. This is the second single from Master C & J (they later went on to pen the seminal "Face It") once again featuring the timeless vocals by Liz Torres

The 3rd instalment in the Newington series comes from LA born, Berlin based Steve Huerta who's signature style harkens back to house music's roots while maintaining a deep, modern sheen. The EP 'Off The Plate' is a varied affair with different house music moods and feelings to be had. The lead track 'Off The Plate' is a dance floor monster with the appropriate rave stabs to boot. 'Safe' is a slightly more laidback affair with a groove to sway your hips to. 'Stepney Shuffle' pays homage to another London district, bring a distinct jack to proceedings. London based Silk 86 take on remix duties, with their own take on 'Silk'.

Heavy remix package for Mano Le Tough's debut album "Changing Days": Tale Of Us, Dixon and New Jackson deliver fantastic reworks perfectly shaped for the dancefloor.

Over the past few years, Mano Le Tough has become one of the shooting stars of the international dance music scene. His impact has been so great that Kristian Beyer of Âme claimed recently in an interview that: "Thanks to Mano Le Tough, I have no fears for the future of house." And not just Beyer, the entire Innervisions gang including Âme and Dixon have become fervent supporters of Mano Le Tough's warm and melodic, yet driving sound.

Niall Mannion as Mano is known to his parents, is originally from Greystones, a seaside village near Dublin, Ireland. After an eclectic musical youth and a move to Berlin, Mannion first popped up on the electronic music radar in 2009 with an ep on legendary disco Viking Prins Thomas' Internasjonal label. With his unique mixture of modern disco, atmospheric house and electronica (although musical genres like these do not quite capture the essence of Mano's music; he prefers to describe it as "cool songs" or "folkal house" which seem in some way more appropriate), Niall quickly gained massive interest in his music. So it was no surprise that eps on such acclaimed labels as Tensnake's Mirau imprint, Dirt Crew recordings and Ben Watt's Buzzin Fly followed his remarkable debut. In no time Mano also became a much sought after remixer for the likes of Aloe Blacc, Midnight Magic, Flowers and Sea Creatures and Roisin Murphy.

That Mano also knows his onions as a DJ has been proven over the years at his monthly party in Berlin called Passion Beat, which he runs with his old friend and fellow paddy The Drifter (with him and their friend Baikal they also set up their own label Maeve in 2012 ). With his ever growing reputation, he soon got heavily booked worldwide and became a regular in some of the best clubs in the world including Panorama Bar, Trouw and Robert Johnson.

This very limited addition of the vinyl version represents music that became known as the "House Sound of Chicago". The defining moment of modern music. The modern legends; Darrell Pandy, the most unique entertainer I ever met, began his career with "Love Can't Turn Around", Loleatta Hollaway made her comeback here from her earlier disco career, Frankie Knuckles first records were recorded with us, as well as his work being included with Jamie Principle . Marshall Jefferson, Joe Smooth, Cannon Irving, Chip E., Keith Nunnasly, Steve "Silk" Hurley, Ricky Dillard, and many more This was the time house music was created, and across the street from DJ International was the warehouse where the legends played. This all happened on Rental Street now undergoing the City of Chicago's now and new DJ international Street. With over 400 recordings done at DJ International and Underground Studios, most of Chicago's legendary DJ's were there. For those who were able to be there knew that this was the basis on everybody's mythology of house music . The full story told coming soon. This compilation is for deejays honoring "momentum' music, and history as DJ International a house "Sound Of Chicago" music for DJ's is the collaboration in CHICAGO, with the greatest artist / performers.
